Font Squirrel has a wonderful web font generator.

I think you should find what you need here to generate OTF fonts and the needed CSS to use them. It will even support older IE versions.

It's canonical to use references for this; precedence: ostream::operator<<. Pointers and references here are, for all ordinary purposes, the same speed/size/safety.

The first line of a constructor is always an invocation to another constructor. You can choose between calling a constructor from the same class with "this(...)" or a constructor from the parent clas with "super(...)". If you don't include either, the compiler includes this line for you: super();

You can use Jquery's on method and listen for the scroll event.

I had the same issue I corrected it, you just need to put the two(uses-material-design: true and assets) in the same column and click in the upgrade dependencies but before restart android studio.

You can use Spacers if all you want is a little bit of spacing between items in a row. The example below centers 2 Text widgets within a row with some spacing between them.

Spacer creates an adjustable, empty spacer that can be used to tune the spacing between widgets in a Flex container, like Row or Column.

In a row, if we want to put space between two widgets such that it occupies all remaining space.

As stated in the above answers, it's always a good practice to initialize the variables, but if you have something which you don't know what value should it takes, and you want to leave it uninitialized so you have to make sure that you are updating it before using it.

For example: Assume we have double _bmi; and you don't know what value should it takes, so you can leave it as it is, but before using it, you have to update its value first like calling a function that calculating BMI like follows:

How to include images in your app

1. Create an assets/images folder

• This should be located in the root of your project, in the same folder as your pubspec.yaml file.
• In Android Studio you can right click in the Project view
• You don't have to call it assets or images. You don't even need to make images a subfolder. Whatever name you use, though, is what you will regester in the pubspec.yaml file.

2. Add your image to the new folder

• You can just copy your image into assets/images. The relative path of lake.jpg, for example, would be assets/images/lake.jpg.

3. Register the assets folder in pubspec.yaml

• Open the pubspec.yaml file that is in the root of your project.

• Add an assets subsection to the flutter section like this:

• If you have multiple images that you want to include then you can leave off the file name and just use the directory name (include the final /):

When making changes to pubspec.yaml I find that I often need to completely stop my app and restart it again, especially when adding assets. Otherwise I get a crash.

Creating Responsive Apps

Use the LayoutBuilder class: From its builder property, you get a BoxConstraints. Examine the constraint's properties to decide what to display. For example, if your maxWidth is greater than your width breakpoint, return a Scaffold object with a row that has a list on the left. If it's narrower, return a Scaffold object with a drawer containing that list. You can also adjust your display based on the device's height, the aspect ratio, or some other property. When the constraints change (e.g. the user rotates the phone, or puts your app into a tile UI in Nougat), the build function will rerun.

Use one way flow syntax property binding:

From angular docs: "Angular recognizes the value as unsafe and automatically sanitizes it, which removes the <script> tag but keeps safe content such as the <b> element."

If you simply place text as a child(ren) of a column, this is the easiest way to have text automatically wrap. Assuming you don't have anything more complicated going on. In those cases, I would think you would create your container sized as you see fit and put another column inside and then your text. This seems to work nicely. Containers want to shrink to the size of its contents, and this seems to naturally conflict with wrapping, which requires more effort.

Add your <script> to the bottom of your <body>, or add an event listener for DOMContentLoaded following this StackOverflow question.

If that script executes in the <head> section of the code, document.getElementsByClassName(...) will return an empty array because the DOM is not loaded yet.

You're getting the Type Error because you're referencing search_span[0], but search_span[0] is undefined.

This works when you execute it in Dev Tools because the DOM is already loaded.

There are two options:

Using Imports

This is the suggested option. It ensures your fonts go through the build pipeline, get hashes during compilation so that browser caching works correctly, and that you get compilation errors if the files are missing.

As described in “Adding Images, Fonts, and Files”, you need to have a CSS file imported from JS. For example, by default src/index.js imports src/index.css:

A CSS file like this goes through the build pipeline, and can reference fonts and images. For example, if you put a font in src/fonts/MyFont.woff, your index.css might include this:

Notice how we’re using a relative path starting with ./. This is a special notation that helps the build pipeline (powered by Webpack) discover this file.

Normally this should be enough.

Using public Folder

If for some reason you prefer not to use the build pipeline, and instead do it the “classic way”, you can use the public folder and put your fonts there.

The downside of this approach is that the files don’t get hashes when you compile for production so you’ll have to update their names every time you change them, or browsers will cache the old versions.

If you want to do it this way, put the fonts somewhere into the public folder, for example, into public/fonts/MyFont.woff. If you follow this approach, you should put CSS files into public folder as well and not import them from JS because mixing these approaches is going to be very confusing. So, if you still want to do it, you’d have a file like public/index.css. You would have to manually add <link> to this stylesheet from public/index.html:

And inside of it, you would use the regular CSS notation:

Notice how I’m using fonts/MyFont.woff as the path. This is because index.css is in the public folder so it will be served from the public path (usually it’s the server root, but if you deploy to GitHub Pages and set your homepage field to http://myuser.github.io/myproject, it will be served from /myproject). However fonts are also in the public folder, so they will be served from fonts relatively (either http://mywebsite.com/fonts or http://myuser.github.io/myproject/fonts). Therefore we use the relative path.

Note that since we’re avoiding the build pipeline in this example, it doesn’t verify that the file actually exists. This is why I don’t recommend this approach. Another problem is that our index.css file doesn’t get minified and doesn’t get a hash. So it’s going to be slower for the end users, and you risk the browsers caching old versions of the file.

 Which Way to Use?

Go with the first method (“Using Imports”). I only described the second one since that’s what you attempted to do (judging by your comment), but it has many problems and should only be the last resort when you’re working around some issue.

In my case, none of the solutions mentioned in other answer worked. I found out that the problem was specific to one repository. Deleting and cloning the repo again solved the issue.

So when sending the message to telegram you use:

you can use LayoutInflater to inflate your dynamic data as a layout file.

UPDATE : first create a LinearLayout inside your CardView's layout and assign an ID for it. after that create a layout file that you want to inflate. at last in your onBindViewHolder method in your "RAdaper" class. write these codes :

after that you can initialize data and ClickListeners with your RAdapter Data. hope it helps.

You can simply use MaterialAlertDialogBuilder to create custom dialog with rounded corners.

First create a style for the material dialog like this :

Some issues appeared since I last worked on it (photos are no more in background, text it too large on my R plot) but it works fine on my local. Troubles come when I run it on RPubs.

Use font property of UILabel:

I got the similiar issue, and resolved it by the following. The issue looks not related to the Route definition but definition of the parameters, just need to give it a default value.

Eclipse Collections has Pair and all combinations of primitive/object Pairs (for all eight primitives).

The Tuples factory can create instances of Pair, and the PrimitiveTuples factory can be used to create all combinations of primitive/object pairs.

We added these before Java 8 was released. They were useful to implement key/value Iterators for our primitive maps, which we also support in all primitive/object combinations.

If you're willing to add the extra library overhead, you can use Stuart's accepted solution and collect the results into a primitive IntList to avoid boxing. We added new methods in Eclipse Collections 9.0 to allow for Int/Long/Double collections to be created from Int/Long/Double Streams.

Since posting the answer the latest versions of browsers prevent the command from working. I'll leave the answer visible but note it ONLY works on older browser versions.

Most browsers prevent you from closing windows with javascript that were not opened with window.open("https://example_url.com") however, it is still possible to close the current window using the following command:

window.open('','_self').close()

This loads a blank url (the first argument) in the current window (the second argument) and then instantaneously closes the window. This works because when close() is called, the current window has been opened by javascript.

In my case the issue was caused by the JDK version. To solve this I suggest to go into your pom file and check the <jdk.version>1.7</jdk.version>.

Afterwards check java version in your cmd(windows) or terminal ( OSX or LINUX ) by typing : java -version.

Compare the version shown in the terminal\command prompt with what you have in your pom file. Make sure they are the same. Then run your project again.

I went through the answers here and elsewhere and still had issues. It turned that (like the op), I was running in kubernetes, and the app was fine, but kubernetes had an issue.

I forgot to have my app start based on my port environment variable. So, kubernetes/helm was telling it to run on 8443 and to liveness probe that, but it was running on some other port (like 8123) from my application.properties.

The kubernetes events (get events) showed the live-ness probe was failing, so kubernetes was killing the pod/app every 30 seconds or so.

To create HTML in email template that is emailer/newsletter, padding/margin is not supporting on email clients. You can take 1x1 size of blank gif image and use it.

This is because you define your "doc" variable outside of your click event. The first time you click the button the doc variable contains a new jsPDF object. But when you click for a second time, this variable can't be used in the same way anymore. As it is already defined and used the previous time.

To both style the hover color and avoid the OS default color in Firefox, you need to add a box-shadow to both the select option and select option:hover declarations, setting the color of the box-shadow on "select option" to the menu background color.

In Tomcat a .java and .class file will be created for every jsp files with in the application and the same can be found from the path below, Apache-Tomcat\work\Catalina\localhost\'ApplicationName'\org\apache\jsp\index_jsp.java

CSS content can only be usef with :after and :before pseudo-elements, so you can try to proceed with something like this:

Your problem is not actually specific to ejs.

2 things to note here

1. style.css is an external css file. So you dont need style tags inside that file. It should only contain the css.

2. In your express app, you have to mention the public directory from which you are serving the static files. Like css/js/image

it can be done by

app.use(express.static(__dirname + '/public'));

assuming you put the css files in public folder from in your app root. now you have to refer to the css files in your tamplate files, like

You need to set relative positioning on the container and then absolute on the inner tag div. The inner tag's absolute positioning will be with respect to the outer relatively positioned div. You don't even need the z-index rule on the tag div.

I recommend you start reading the documentation (4.6.18. Formatting cells). When applying a lot of formatting it's better to use applyFromArray() According to the documentation this method is also suppose to be faster when you're setting many style properties. That's because Bootstrap by default sets the width of the legend element to 100%. You can fix this by changing your legend.scheduler-border to also use:

If you are styling calc in a GWT project, its parser might not parse calc for you as it did not for me... the solution is to wrap it in a css literal like this:

Similar to the top answer, I used the unicode character in the value= section of the HTML and called FontAwesome as the font family on that input element. The only thing I'll add that the top answer doesn't cover is that because my value element also had text inside it after the icon, changing the font family to FontAwesome made the regular text look bad. The solution was simply to change the CSS to include fallback fonts:

This also works - evaluate, if capital is defined. If not, this means, that capital is undefined or null (or other value, that evaluates to false in js)

This error is something else!

Here is how i Fixed it. I'm using xcode Version 6.1.1 and using swift. I got this error every time my app tried to perform a segue to jump to the next screen. Here what I did.

1. Checked that the button was connected to the right action.(This wasn't the problem, but still good to check)
2. Check that the button does not have any additional actions or outlets that you may have created by mistake. (This wasn't the problem, but still good to check)
3. Check the logs and make sure that all the buttons in the NEXT SCREEN have the correct actions, and if there are any segues, make sure that they have a unique identifier. (This was the problem)
   • One of the segues did not have a unique identifier
   • One of the buttons had an action and two outlets that I created by mistake.

Delete any additional outlets and make sure that you the segues to the next screen have unique identifiers.

I know its an old question. This problem can be easily reproduced if you try to reinitialize the Datatable again.

For example in your function somewhere you are calling $('#example').DataTable( { searching: false} ); again.

There is easy resolving this issue. Please follow the steps

1. Initialize the Datatable to a variable rather than directly initializing DataTable method.
   1. For Example Instead of calling $('#example').DataTable( { searching: false} ); try to declare it globally (or in scope of javascription that you are using) like this var table = $('#example').DataTable( { searching: false } );.
2. Now Whenever you are calling this method $('#example').DataTable( { searching: false} ); again then before calling it perform the following actions
   3. if (table != undefined && table != null) { table.destroy(); table = null; }
3. Once you have followed the steps above then go ahead with re-initializing the table with same variable without using var keyword (as you have already defined it) i.e table = $('#example').DataTable( { searching: false } );

You're getting errors because you're attempting to read post variables that haven't been set, they only get set on form submission. Wrap your php code at the bottom in an

if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] === 'POST') { ... }

Also, your code is ripe for SQL injection. At the very least use mysql_real_escape_string on the post vars before using them in SQL queries. mysql_real_escape_string is not good enough for a production site, but should score you extra points in class.

As an alternative, there's a nice 3rd party library designed just for this use case. Whereby you need to generate headers based on the data being stored in the adapter. They are called Rolodex adapters and are used with ExpandableListViews. They can easily be customized to behave like a normal list with headers.

Using the OP's Event objects and knowing the headers are based on the Date associated with it...the code would look something like this:

To use vertical-align properly, you should do it on table tag. But there is a way to make other html tags to behave as a table by assigning them a css of display:table to your parent, and display:table-cell on your child. Then vertical-align:bottom will work on that child.

I think you are getting confused about what the a:active CSS selector does. This will only change the colour of your link when you click it (and only for the duration of the click i.e. how long your mouse button stays down). What you need to do is introduce a new class e.g. .selected into your CSS and when you select a link, update the selected menu item with new class e.g.

It sounds like you hit the "Insert" key .. in most applications this results in a fat (solid rectangle) cursor being displayed, as your screenshot suggests. This indicates that you are in overwrite mode rather than the default insert mode.

Just hit the "insert" key on your keyboard once more... it's usually near the 'delete' (not backspace), scroll lock and 'Print Screen' (often above the cursor keys in a full size keyboard.) This will switch back to insert mode and turn your cursor into a vertical line rather than a rectangle.

Why is this a problem?

The single quote char terminates the string in MySQL and everything past that is treated as a sql command. You REALLY don't want to write your sql like that. At best, your application will break intermittently (as you're observing) and at worst, you have just introduced a huge security vulnerability.

Imagine if someone submitted '); DROP TABLE private_messages; in submit message.

Your SQL Command would be:

I ran into the same error that BornToCode first identified in the comments of the original solution. Being unfamiliar with Excel and VBA it took me a second to figure out how to implement tiQU's solution. So I'm posting it as a "For Dummies" solution below

I think the simplest solution, rather than making the body element partially transparent, would be to add an extra div to hold the background, and change the opacity there, instead.

So you would add a div like:

You have a selector ul on line 252 which is setting list-style: square outside none (a square bullet). You'll have to change it to list-style: none or just remove the line.

If you only want to remove the bullets from that specific instance, you can use the specific selector for that list and its items as follows:

this is probably not bullet proof and maybe on some devices it will not work but it worked for me and hope it will help you too.

Here's the issue: You can't specify font weights that don't exist in the font set from Google. Click on the SEE SPECIMEN link below the font, then scroll down to the STYLES section. There you'll see each of the "styles" available for that particular font. Sadly Google doesn't list the CSS font weights for each style. Here's how the names map to CSS font weight numbers:

Bold            700
Extra-Bold      800
Black           900

Note that very few fonts come in all 9 weights.

You can use inline styles to add custome styling to <option> tags.

For eg : <option style="font-weight:bold;color:#09C;">Option 1</option> This will apply the styles to this particular <option> element only.

Then you can use a bit of javascript magic to apply the inline styles to all of the <option> elements within a <select> tag like so :

You can also use <option value="" disabled> <br> </option> to add a line-break between the options.

You can use any of the following methods for setting the Drawable on TextView:

1- setCompoundDrawablesWithIntrinsicBounds(int, int, int, int)

2- setCompoundDrawables(Left_Drawable, Top_Drawable, Right_Drawable, Bottom_Drawable)

And to get drawable from resources you can use:

getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.your_drawable_id);

You'll see that I have the stylesheet classes in a style tag in the header, and then I only apply those classes in the code such as <p class="detail"> ... </p>. Go through the w3schools tutorial, it will only take a couple of hours and will really turn you around when it comes to styling your HTML elements. If you cut and paste that into an HTML document you can edit the styles and see what effect they have when you open the file in a browser. Experimenting like this is a great way to learn.

Quentin is correct, it can't be done with CSS. If you want to add a title attribute, you can do it with JavaScript. Here's an example using jQuery:

$('label').attr('title','mandatory');

Instead of having the android:actionMenuTextAppearance item under your action bar style, move it under your app theme.

One of the problems with starting your line with non-breaking spaces is that if your line is long enough to wrap, then when it spills onto a second line the first character of the overflow line with start hard left instead of starting under the first character of the line above it.

If your system allows you to mix HTML in with your markdown, a cheep and cheerful way of getting an indent is like this:

My indented text goes here, and it can be long and wrap if you like.
And you can have multiple lines if you want.
</ul>

Semantically within your HTML it is nonsense (a UL section without any LI items), but all browsers I have used just happily indent what's between those tags.

A UDF will only return a value it won't allow you to change the properties of a cell/sheet/workbook. Move your code to a Worksheet_Change event or similar to change properties.

This has actually been around quite a while (since v1.6.3); not sure how I missed it!

I have a workaround using jquery... although we cannot style a particular option, we can style the select itself - and use javascript to change the class of the select based on what is selected. It works sufficiently for simple cases.

Note that the js is in two parts, the each part for initializing everything on the page correctly, the .on('change', ... part for responding to change. I was unable to mangle the js into a function to DRY it up, it breaks it for some reason

After copying my local repository and working copy to another folder (on Windows by the way), I had four files that kept showing up as changed and tried every suggestion listed in the other answers. In the end what fixed it for me was deleting the local branch and downloading it again from the remote. In my case I guess it had something to do with copying a local repository rather than cloning.

I had a button where the background-image had a shadow below it so the text alignment was off from the top. Changing the line-height wouldn't help. I added padding-bottom to it and it worked.

So what you have to do is determine the line-height you want to play with. So, for example, if I have a button who's height is truly 90px but I want the line-height to be 80px I would have something like this:

CSS rules are inherited by default - hence the "cascading" name. To get what you want you need to use !important:

The problem is an issue of semantic meaning (as BoltClock mentions) and visual rendering.

Originally HTML used <b> and <i> for these purposes, entirely stylistic commands, laid down in the semantic environment of the document markup. CSS is an attempt to separate out as far as possible the stylistic elements of the medium. Thus style information such as bold and italics should go in CSS.

<strong> and <em> were introduced to fill the semantic need for text to be marked as more important or stressed. They have default stylistic interpretations akin to bold and italic, but they are not bound to that fate.

The easy way is that, copy and past this background-image: url(../slide_button.png); instead of background-image: url(slide_button.png); In such case we need to use ../ before path. Either you need to give full path. One other thing is that, in case before doing any change just clear the browser history and then refresh the page.

Material UI have implemented their own Flexbox layout via the Grid component.

Classic ASP Solution

Most modern browsers support passing the Filename as UTF-8 now but as was the case with a File Upload solution I use that was based on FreeASPUpload.Net (site no longer exists, link points to archive.org) it wouldn't work as the parsing of the binary relied on reading single byte ASCII encoded strings, which worked fine when you passed UTF-8 encoded data until you get to characters ASCII doesn't support.

However I was able to find a solution to get the code to read and parse the binary as UTF-8.

A couple of additional points re use of vector here.

Unlike ArrayList and Array in Java, you don't need to do anything special to treat a vector as an array - the underlying storage in C++ is guaranteed to be contiguous and efficiently indexable.

Unlike ArrayList, a vector can efficiently hold primitive types without encapsulation as a full-fledged object.

When removing items from a vector, be aware that the items above the removed item have to be moved down to preserve contiguous storage. This can get expensive for large containers.

Make sure if you store complex objects in the vector that their copy constructor and assignment operators are efficient. Under the covers, C++ STL uses these during container housekeeping.

Advice about reserve()ing storage upfront (ie. at vector construction or initialilzation time) to minimize memory reallocation on later extension carries over from Java to C++.

I didn't read all the posts but every answer seems to be missing one concept that really helped me "get it"...

If a Model is akin to a database Table, then a ViewModel is akin to a database View - A view typically either returns small amounts of data from one table, or, complex sets of data from multiple tables (joins).

I find myself using ViewModels to pass info into a view/form, and then transfering that data into a valid Model when the form posts back to the controller - also very handy for storing Lists(IEnumerable).

I know this post is very old, For those who don't want to use android:fillViewport="true" because it sometimes doesn't bring up the edittext above keyboard. Use Relative layout instead of LinearLayout it solves the purpose.

NFC enabled phones can ONLY read NFC and passive high frequency RFID (HF-RFID). These must be read at an extremely close range, typically a few centimeters. For longer range or any other type of RFID/active RFID, you must use an external reader for handling them with mobile devices.

You can get some decent readers from a lot of manufacturers by simply searching on google. There are a lot of plug in ones for all device types.

I deal a lot with HID readers capable of close proximity scans of HID enabled ID cards as well as NFC from smart phones and smart cards. I use SerialIO badge readers that I load a decryption profile onto that allows our secure company cards to be read and utilized by an application I built. They are great for large scale reliable bluetooth scanning. Because they are bluetooth, they work for PC/Android/iOS/Linux. The only problem is, HID readers are very expensive and are meant for enterprise use. Ours cost about $400 each, but again, they read HID, SmartCards, NFC, and RFID.

If this is a personal project, I suggest just using the phone and purchasing some HF-RFID tags. The tag manufacturer should have an SDK for you to use to connect to and manage the tags. You can also just use androids NFC docs to get started https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/connectivity/nfc/. Most android phones from the last 8 years have NFC, only iPhone 6 and newer apple phones have NFC, but only iOS 11 and newer will work for what you want to do.

A button is identified by the class ui-button. To disable a button:

Basically you are doing it the right way. However, you should use an instance of the DataContext for querying (it's not obvious that DataContext is an instance or the type name from your query):

Well, "createTempFile" actually creates the file. So why not just delete it first, and then do the mkdir on it?

Also, on second thought, split will work in your case, since the first split is larger than the second. Split puts the balance of the input into the last split, so

This is now possible in modern browsers using localeCompare. By passing the numeric: true option, it will smartly recognize numbers. You can do case-insensitive using sensitivity: 'base'. Tested in Chrome, Firefox, and IE11.

The realm attribute (case-insensitive) is required for all authentication schemes which issue a challenge. The realm value (case-sensitive), in combination with the canonical root URL of the server being accessed, defines the protection space. These realms allow the protected resources on a server to be partitioned into a set of protection spaces, each with its own authentication scheme and/or authorization database. The realm value is a string, generally assigned by the origin server, which may have additional semantics specific to the authentication scheme.

In short, pages in the same realm should share credentials. If your credentials work for a page with the realm "My Realm", it should be assumed that the same username and password combination should work for another page with the same realm.

Use std::cout, since cout is defined within the std namespace. Alternatively, add a using std::cout; directive.

Remember that in onClick={ ... }, the ... is a JavaScript expression. So

... onClick={this.handleRemove(id)}

is the same as

Some Common Mistakes.

1.findViewById() of non existing view

Like when you use findViewById(R.id.button) when button id does not exist in layout XML.

2. Wrong cast.

If you wrong cast some class, then you get this error. Like you cast RelativeLayout to LinearLayout or EditText to TextView.

3. Activity not registered in manifest.xml

If you did not register Activity in manifest.xml then this error comes.

4. findViewById() with declaration at top level

Below code is incorrect. This will create error. Because you should do findViewById() after calling setContentView(). Because an View can be there after it is created.

Same situation: Having done multiple Angular projects and moving to React, not having a simple way to provide services through DI seems like a missing piece (the particulars of the service aside).

EDIT: Back 6 months later with some more React experience. Consider the nature of the logic:

1. Is it tied (only) to UI? Move it into a component (accepted answer).
2. Is it tied (only) to state management? Move it into a thunk.
3. Tied to both? Move to separate file, consume in component through a selector and in thunks.

Some also reach for HOCs for reuse but for me the above covers almost all use cases. Also, consider scaling state management using ducks to keep concerns separate and state UI-centric.

Break will only stop the loop while return inside a loop will stop the loop and return from the function.

IndexError: invalid index to scalar variable happens when you try to index a numpy scalar such as numpy.int64 or numpy.float64. It is very similar to TypeError: 'int' object has no attribute '__getitem__' when you try to index an int.

Another solution when a file pretends another extension

I use php inside of var.js file with this .htaccess.

When I got the MIME type warning on Chrome, I fixed it by adding a Content-Type header line in the .js(but php) file.

A browser won't execute .js file because apache sends the Content-Type header of the file as application/x-httpd-php that is defined in .htaccess. That's a security reason. But apache won't execute php as far as htaccess commands the impersonation, it's necessary. So we need to overwrite apache's Content-Type header with the php function header(). I guess that apache stops sending its own header when php sends it instead of apache before.

You can use zero-length positive look-aheads to specify each of your constraints separately:

I'm experiencing the same problem actually.

It occurs after updating to Django 1.2.5 - there were no errors with AJAX POST requests in Django 1.2.4 (AJAX wasn't protected in any way, but it worked just fine).

Just like OP, I have tried the JavaScript snippet posted in Django documentation. I'm using jQuery 1.5. I'm also using the "django.middleware.csrf.CsrfViewMiddleware" middleware.

I tried to follow the the middleware code and I know that it fails on this:

request_csrf_token = request.META.get('HTTP_X_CSRFTOKEN', '')

and then

if request_csrf_token != csrf_token:
    return self._reject(request, REASON_BAD_TOKEN)

this "if" is true, because "request_csrf_token" is empty.

Basically it means that the header is NOT set. So is there anything wrong with this JS line:

2. NeuroTechnology - Information on their Facial Recognition SDK. This company has both up-front pricing information as well as an actual 30 day trial of their SDK.

3. Pittsburgh Pattern Recognition - (Acquired by Google) Information on their Facial Tracking and Recognition SDK. The demos that they provide help you evaluate their technology but not their SDSK. You'll need to contact them for pricing information.

4. Sensible Vision - Information on their SDK. Their site allows you to easily get a price quote and you can also order an evaluation kit that will help you evaluate their technology.

The better pattern is to create a standalone BroadcastReceiver. This insures that your app can respond to the broadcast, whether or not the Service is running. In fact, using this pattern may remove the need for a constant-running Service altogether.

Register the BroadcastReceiver in your Manifest, and create a separate class/file for it.

your description is rather confusing; directly concatenating the decimal values doesn't seem useful in most contexts. the following code will cast each letter to an 8-bit character, and THEN concatenate. this is how standard ASCII encoding works

Same is the case for all of these with width instead of height.

I had the same issue and I tried most of the solution provided by other folks but it worked for me with below steps. I have VS 2017.

Steps:

If I had to guess, I'd say you installed the PPA 7.1.8 as CLI only (php7-cli). You're getting your version info from that, but your libapache2-mod-php package is still 14.04 main which is 5.6. Check your phpinfo in your browser to confirm the version. You might also consider migrating to Ubuntu 16.04 to get PHP 7.0 in main.

You can split the string with no separator arg, which will treat consecutive whitespace as a single separator (including newlines and tabs). Then join using a space:

Here's a template for Docker you can use in busybox environments (alpine) as well as Debian-based environments (Ubuntu, etc.):

• --disabled-password prevents prompt for a password
• --gecos "" circumvents the prompt for "Full Name" etc. on Debian-based systems

• --no-create-home prevents cruft getting copied into the directory from /etc/skel

The usage description for these applications is missing the long flags present in the code for adduser and addgroup.

The following long-form flags should work both in alpine as well as debian-derivatives:

I discovered all of this while trying to write my own alternative to the fixuid project for running containers as the hosts UID/GID.

My entrypoint helper script can be found on GitHub.

The intent is to prepend that script as the first argument to ENTRYPOINT which should cause Docker to infer UID and GID from a relevant bind mount.

An environment variable "TEMPLATE" may be required to determine where the permissions should be inferred from.

(At the time of writing I don't have documentation for my script. It's still on the todo list!!)

I would argue that creating a simple extension of Text and turning text into a property is the cleanest way to go. You can then stick that extension in some file that you always import, and use it instead of the original Text widget. This way, instead of having to remember, write, repeat, etc all the hoops tkinter makes you jump through to do the simplest things, you have a butt-simple interface that can be reused in any project. You can do this for Entry, as well, but the syntax is slightly different.

There's more then one way to do this with DateTime which was introduced in PHP 5.2. Unlike using strtotime() this will account for daylight savings time and leap year.

This error may occur when WCF client tries to send its message using MTOM extension (MIME type application/soap+xml is used to transfer SOAP XML in MTOM), but service is just able to understand normal SOAP messages (it doesn't contain MIME parts, only text/xml type in HTTP request).

Be sure you generated your client code against correct WSDL.

URLs are not resolved based on the file structure in the server side. URLs are resolved based on the real public web addresses of the resources in question. It's namely the webbrowser who has got to invoke them, not the webserver.

Sounds like your class loader is not loading the servlet classes once they are updated. This might be fixed if you change your web.xml file which should prompt the server/container to re-deploy and reload the servlet classes. I guess add an empty line at the end of your web.xml and save it and then see if that fixes it. As i said this might fix it or might not.

For a while Christopher Swasey's approach was the best approach I had found. I asked a couple of the senior devs on my team about it and one of them had the perfect solution! It satisfies every one of the concerns that Christopher Swasey so eloquently addressed and it doesn't require boilerplate subclass code(my main concern with his approach). There is one gotcha, but other than that it is fairly intuitive and easy to implement.

1. Create a custom UIView class in a .swift file to control your xib. i.e. MyCustomClass.swift
2. Create a .xib file and style it as you want. i.e. MyCustomClass.xib
3. Set the File's Owner of the .xib file to be your custom class (MyCustomClass)
4. GOTCHA: leave the class value (under the identity Inspector) for your custom view in the .xib file blank. So your custom view will have no specified class, but it will have a specified File's Owner.
5. Hook up your outlets as you normally would using the Assistant Editor.
   • NOTE: If you look at the Connections Inspector you will notice that your Referencing Outlets do not reference your custom class (i.e. MyCustomClass), but rather reference File's Owner. Since File's Owner is specified to be your custom class, the outlets will hook up and work propery.
6. Make sure your custom class has @IBDesignable before the class statement.
7. Make your custom class conform to the NibLoadable protocol referenced below.
   • NOTE: If your custom class .swift file name is different from your .xib file name, then set the nibName property to be the name of your .xib file.
8. Implement required init?(coder aDecoder: NSCoder) and override init(frame: CGRect) to call setupFromNib() like the example below.
9. Add a UIView to your desired storyboard and set the class to be your custom class name (i.e. MyCustomClass).
10. Watch IBDesignable in action as it draws your .xib in the storyboard with all of it's awe and wonder.

NOTE: If you miss the Gotcha and set the class value inside your .xib file to be your custom class, then it will not draw in the storyboard and you will get a EXC_BAD_ACCESS error when you run the app because it gets stuck in an infinite loop of trying to initialize the class from the nib using the init?(coder aDecoder: NSCoder) method which then calls Self.nib.instantiate and calls the init again.

In 2019, you can install using chocolatey. Open your cmd or powershell, type "choco install python".

NativeScript

For anyone having trouble launching the android emulator via NativeScript, it's likely env vars ANDROID_HOME and ANDROID_SDK_ROOT have been overridden.

How I managed to create a problem for myself was by installing Android Studio to generate a different emulator. I did this after I had already installed the android sdk via home brew.

So if during the NativeScript installation, you selected to install android sdk via HomeBrew, NativeScript will set the above as follows:

Subsequently installing Android Studio will override these values as:

If your repo doesn't already have a .gitignore file, then a simple solution is to create a .gitignore file, and in it add .gitignore to the list of files to be ignored.

Actually I had used (what else ;-) ) Vim for this: it has a 2html "plugin". See the docs here.

So as I edit my code, I just convert it to HTML and paste the results to Blogger's HTML editor.

Note: it's not so beautiful HTML (embeded css would be better), but it just works.

Oh: and it has syntax files for several languages which makes it pretty useful.

While it is not free (but $39), FireDaemon has worked so well for me I have to recommend it. It will run your batch file but has loads of additional and very useful functionality such as scheduling, service up monitoring, GUI or XML based install of services, dependencies, environmental variables and log management.

I started out using FireDaemon to launch JBoss application servers (run.bat) but shortly after realized that the richness of the FireDaemon configuration abilities allowed me to ditch the batch file and recreate the intent of its commands in the FireDaemon service definition.

There's also a SUPER FireDaemon called Trinity which you might want to look at if you have a large number of Windows servers on which to manage this service (or technically, any service).

That's part of the syntax of the new lambda expressions, to be introduced in Java 8. There are a couple of online tutorials to get the hang of it, here's a link to one. Basically, the -> separates the parameters (left-side) from the implementation (right side).

The general syntax for using lambda expressions is

You have a couple of options:

1. Scope the domain down (see document.domain) in both the containing page and the iframe to the same thing. Then they will not be bound by 'same origin' constraints.

You mention ".cer" extension in the question which is conventionally used for the DER encoded files. A binary encoding. Try the ".crt" file first and if it's not accepted, easy to convert from PEM to DER:

openssl x509 -inform pem -in mycerts.crt -outform der -out mycerts.cer

Since the inputs are empty and therefore invalid when instantiated, Angular correctly adds the ng-invalid class.

A CSS rule you might try:

Which basically states when the field has had something entered into it at some point since the page loaded and wasn't reset to pristine by $scope.formName.setPristine(true) and something wasn't yet entered and it's invalid then the text turns red.

Other useful classes for Angular forms (see input for future reference )

ng-valid-maxlength - when ng-maxlength passes
ng-valid-minlength - when ng-minlength passes
ng-valid-pattern - when ng-pattern passes
ng-dirty - when the form has had something entered since the form loaded
ng-pristine - when the form input has had nothing inserted since loaded (or it was reset via setPristine(true) on the form)
ng-invalid - when any validation fails (required, minlength, custom ones, etc)

Likewise there is also ng-invalid-<name> for all these patterns and any custom ones created.

If you include the library System.Data.Entity you can use an overload of the Include() method which takes a lambda expression instead of a string. You can then Select() over children with Linq expressions rather than string paths.

I personally don't like atoi function. I would suggest sscanf:

And in my opinion, it allows you much more freedom than atoi, arbitrary formatting of your number-string, and probably also allows for non-number characters at the end.

EDIT2 Looks like it's not just me personally disliking the atoi function. Here's a link to an answer explaining that the atoi function is deprecated and should not be used in newer code.

Why has yet another command-line parsing module been created?

That's the dilemma number one when any useful module is added to the standard library: what do you do when a substantially better, but backwards-incompatible, way to provide the same kind of functionality emerges?

Either you stick with the old and admittedly surpassed way (typically when we're talking about complicated packages: asyncore vs twisted, tkinter vs wx or Qt, ...) or you end up with multiple incompatible ways to do the same thing (XML parsers, IMHO, are an even better example of this than command-line parsers -- but the email package vs the myriad old ways to deal with similar issues isn't too far away either;-).

You may make threatening grumbles in the docs about the old ways being "deprecated", but (as long as you need to keep backwards compatibility) you can't really take them away without stopping large, important applications from moving to newer Python releases.

(Dilemma number two, not directly related to your question, is summarized in the old saying "the standard library is where good packages go to die"... with releases every year and a half or so, packages that aren't very, very stable, not needing releases any more often than that, can actually suffer substantially by being "frozen" in the standard library... but, that's really a different issue).

This is for bash shell. You will see different steps for every different shell, but the source of the steps are same.

You can use the border-radius attribute to give it a border-radius equivalent to the element's border-radius. For example:

An easy way to format your domain objects to JSON is to use the Marshal Serializer. Then pass the data to json_encode and send the correct Content-Type header for your needs. If you are using a framework like Symfony, you don't need to take care of setting the headers manually. There you can use the JsonResponse.

For example the correct Content-Type for dealing with Javascript would be application/javascript.

Or if you need to support some pretty old browsers the safest would be text/javascript.

For all other purposes like a mobile app use application/json as the Content-Type.

First, use SoapUI to create your soap project from the wsdl. Try to send a request to play with the wsdl's operations. Observe how the xml request composes your data fields.

And then, if you are having problem getting SoapClient acts as you want, here is how I debug it. Set the option trace so that the function __getLastRequest() is available for use.

From a relational database theory point of view, there should be absolutely no problem on updating the primary key of a table, provided that there are no duplicates among the primary keys and that you do not try to put a NULL value in any of the primary key columns.

Using the RESTORE DATABASE command most likely. bak is a common extension used for a database backup file. You'll find documentation for this command on MSDN.

There are a couple more ways with which you can approach this problem. Assuming one of your requirement is to run a shell script/function containing a few shell commands and check if the script ran successfully and throw errors in case of failures.

The shell commands in generally rely on exit-codes returned to let the shell know if it was successful or failed due to some unexpected events.

So what you want to do falls upon these two categories

• exit on error
• exit and clean-up on error

Depending on which one you want to do, there are shell options available to use. For the first case, the shell provides an option with set -e and for the second you could do a trap on EXIT

Should I use exit in my script/function?

Using exit generally enhances readability In certain routines, once you know the answer, you want to exit to the calling routine immediately. If the routine is defined in such a way that it doesn’t require any further cleanup once it detects an error, not exiting immediately means that you have to write more code.

So in cases if you need to do clean-up actions on script to make the termination of the script clean, it is preferred to not to use exit.

Should I use set -e for error on exit?

No!

set -e was an attempt to add "automatic error detection" to the shell. Its goal was to cause the shell to abort any time an error occurred, but it comes with a lot of potential pitfalls for example,

• The commands that are part of an if test are immune. In the example, if you expect it to break on the test check on the non-existing directory, it wouldn't, it goes through to the else condition

  set -e
  f() { test -d nosuchdir && echo no dir; }
  f
  echo survived
  

• Commands in a pipeline other than the last one, are immune. In the example below, because the most recently executed (rightmost) command's exit code is considered ( cat) and it was successful. This could be avoided by setting by the set -o pipefail option but its still a caveat.

Recommended for use - trap on exit

The verdict is if you want to be able to handle an error instead of blindly exiting, instead of using set -e, use a trap on the ERR pseudo signal.

The ERR trap is not to run code when the shell itself exits with a non-zero error code, but when any command run by that shell that is not part of a condition (like in if cmd, or cmd ||) exits with a non-zero exit status.

The general practice is we define an trap handler to provide additional debug information on which line and what cause the exit. Remember the exit code of the last command that caused the ERR signal would still be available at this point.

The trap also provides options irrespective of the error to just run the cleanup on shell completion (e.g. your shell script exits), on signal EXIT. You could also trap on multiple signals at the same time. The list of supported signals to trap on can be found on the trap.1p - Linux manual page

Another thing to notice would be to understand that none of the provided methods work if you are dealing with sub-shells are involved in which case, you might need to add your own error handling.

• On a sub-shell with set -e wouldn't work. The false is restricted to the sub-shell and never gets propagated to the parent shell. To do the error handling here, add your own logic to do (false) || false

  set -e

• The same happens with trap also. The logic below wouldn't work for the reasons mentioned above.

This should do it. In order to close it your page needs to be opened by the script, hence the window.open. Here is an article explaining this in detail:

If all else fails, you should also add a message asking the user to manually close the window, as there is no cross-browser solution for this, especially with older browsers such as IE 8.

To me the key thing about this is: an InterruptedException is not anything going wrong, it is the thread doing what you told it to do. Therefore rethrowing it wrapped in a RuntimeException makes zero sense.

In many cases it makes sense to rethrow an exception wrapped in a RuntimeException when you say, I don't know what went wrong here and I can't do anything to fix it, I just want it to get out of the current processing flow and hit whatever application-wide exception handler I have so it can log it. That's not the case with an InterruptedException, it's just the thread responding to having interrupt() called on it, it's throwing the InterruptedException in order to help cancel the thread's processing in a timely way.

So propagate the InterruptedException, or eat it intelligently (meaning at a place where it will have accomplished what it was meant to do) and reset the interrupt flag. Note that the interrupt flag gets cleared when the InterruptedException gets thrown; the assumption the Jdk library developers make is that catching the exception amounts to handling it, so by default the flag is cleared.

So definitely the first way is better, the second posted example in the question is not useful unless you don't expect the thread to actually get interrupted, and interrupting it amounts to an error.

Here's an answer I wrote describing how interrupts work, with an example. You can see in the example code where it is using the InterruptedException to bail out of a while loop in the Runnable's run method.

You can actually just use Array's slice function on an arguments object, and it will convert it into a standard JavaScript array. You'll just have to reference it manually through Array's prototype:

Why does this work? Well, here's an excerpt from the ECMAScript 5 documentation itself:

Therefore, slice works on anything that has a length property, which arguments conveniently does.

$null is an automatic variable that contains a NULL or empty value. You can use this variable to represent an absent or undefined value in commands and scripts.

Windows PowerShell treats $null as an object with a value, that is, as an explicit placeholder, so you can use $null to represent an empty value in a series of values.

For example, when $null is included in a collection, it is counted as one of the objects.

Got precisely the same error and came to this question. As @SpaceBison mentioned in comments, this answer describes the solution - https://stackoverflow.com/a/12867753/404099. I spotted it too late and it misses some steps. This is what worked for me:

Windows Server 2012, IIS 8.5. Should work for other versions too.

• Go to server manager, click add roles and features
• In the roles section choose: Web Server
  • Under Security sub-section choose everything (I excluded digest, IP restrictions and URL authorization as we don't use them)
  • Under Application Development choose .NET Extensibility 4.5, ASP.NET 4.5 and both ISAPI entries

Here I think it's worth mentioning SORT BY and ORDER BY both clauses and why they different,

If you are using SORT BY clause it sort data per reducer which means if you have more than one MapReduce task it will result partially ordered data. On the other hand, the ORDER BY clause will result in ordered data for the final Reduce task. To understand more please refer to this link.

Note: Finally, Even though the accepted answer contains SORT BY clause, I mostly prefer to use ORDER BY clause for the general use case to avoid any data loss.

There are 4 versions of the CRT link libraries present in vc\lib:

• libcmt.lib: static CRT link library for a release build (/MT)
• libcmtd.lib: static CRT link library for a debug build (/MTd)
• msvcrt.lib: import library for the release DLL version of the CRT (/MD)
• msvcrtd.lib: import library for the debug DLL version of the CRT (/MDd)

Look at the linker options, Project + Properties, Linker, Command Line. Note how these libraries are not mentioned here. The linker automatically figures out what /M switch was used by the compiler and which .lib should be linked through a #pragma comment directive. Kinda important, you'd get horrible link errors and hard to diagnose runtime errors if there was a mismatch between the /M option and the .lib you link with.

You'll see the error message you quoted when the linker is told both to link to msvcrt.lib and libcmt.lib. Which will happen if you link code that was compiled with /MT with code that was linked with /MD. There can be only one version of the CRT.

/NODEFAULTLIB tells the linker to ignore the #pragma comment directive that was generated from the /MT compiled code. This might work, although a slew of other linker errors is not uncommon. Things like errno, which is a extern int in the static CRT version but macro-ed to a function in the DLL version. Many others like that.

Well, fix this problem the Right Way, find the .obj or .lib file that you are linking that was compiled with the wrong /M option. If you have no clue then you could find it by grepping the .obj/.lib files for "/MT"

Btw: the Windows executables (like version.dll) have their own CRT version to get their job done. It is located in c:\windows\system32, you cannot reliably use it for your own programs, its CRT headers are not available anywhere. The CRT DLL used by your program has a different name (like msvcrt90.dll).

Improved Persistent Login Cookie Best Practice

You could use this strategy described here as best practice (2006) or an updated strategy described here (2015):

1. When the user successfully logs in with Remember Me checked, a login cookie is issued in addition to the standard session management cookie.
2. The login cookie contains a series identifier and a token. The series and token are unguessable random numbers from a suitably large space. Both are stored together in a database table, the token is hashed (sha256 is fine).
3. When a non-logged-in user visits the site and presents a login cookie, the series identifier is looked up in the database.
   1. If the series identifier is present and the hash of the token matches the hash for that series identifier, the user is considered authenticated. A new token is generated, a new hash for the token is stored over the old record, and a new login cookie is issued to the user (it's okay to re-use the series identifier).
   2. If the series is present but the token does not match, a theft is assumed. The user receives a strongly worded warning and all of the user's remembered sessions are deleted.
   3. If the username and series are not present, the login cookie is ignored.

This approach provides defense-in-depth. If someone manages to leak the database table, it does not give an attacker an open door for impersonating users.

I have seen errors on standard functions if there was a reference to a totally different library missing.

Sessions are stored in server side.There is no such storage limit on session .Sessions can hold multiple variables.Since they are not easily accessible hence are more secure than cookies.

I know this is an old topic, but I think it is still relevant, and would like to share an implementation of an array comparison method which I feel strikes the right balance between performance and elegance.

I'm not familiar with postgresql, but in SQL Server or Oracle, using a subquery would work like below (in Oracle, the SELECT 0 would be SELECT 0 FROM DUAL)

If you are in a MySQL shell, exit it by typing exit, which will return you to the command prompt.

I've been through a number of photo capture strategies, and there always seems to be a case, a platform or certain devices, where some or all of the above strategies will fail in unexpected ways. 1 - create map activity so in onMap ready method you create LocationManager and LocationListener

2 - in onMap ready also you check for android version and user permission ==> if there is a permission give location update OR ask the user for permission

3 - in the main class check for result of permission (onRequestPermissionsResult) ==> if the condition is true so give location update

4 - in (onLocationChanged) method we create LatLng variable and get the coordinates from location then from mMap we (addMarker and moveCamera) for that variable we've just created, this gives us location when the user moves so we still need to create new LatLng in onMap ready to have user's location when the App starts ==>inside condition if there is permission (lastKnownLocation).

NOTE:

1) Do Not forget to ask for permissions (Location and Internet) in Manifest

2) Do Not forget to have Map key from google APIs

3) We used (mMap.clear) to avoid repeating the marker each time we (run the app or update location)

At first I have to say that PHP is really powerful language, knowing there is a construct named "eval", so you can create your PHP code while running it! (really cool!)

although there is the danger of PHP_Injection which is far more destructive that SQL_Injection. Beware!
