In my case, it was WordPress that now requires PHP 7.4 and I was running 7.2.
As soon as I updated, the errors disappeared.

What helped for me was: In Targets -> Signing & Capabilities > Uncheck Automatically manage signing (or check and uncheck if it was unchecked ) > build project

If you are not seeing the certificate under General->About->Certificate Trust Settings, then you probably do not have the ROOT CA installed. Very important -- needs to be a ROOT CA, not an intermediary CA.

I took a look at the piece of code that actually checks for the version number of your java. Look for the following: module.exports.check_java in platforms/android/cordova/lib/check_reqs.js. on line 220. You will see a regex and comment left by the team that Java 10 will be supported in the future.

The existing regular expression will fail when it is run against the latest versions of java such as Java 10. That is because Java 8 or 9 are saved in the following format: 1.[8-9].** but Java 10 is saved as 10.** and the regular expression looks for a version in the format 1.[8-9].**

My solution:

You don't have to uninstall your current version of the JRE or JDK since the installer installs each version in a specific folder.

1- Install version Java 8 Follow this link

2- Update your environment variables:

• JAVA_HOME if you installed the JDK
• JRE_HOME if you installed the JRE

by pointing them to the location where the JRE 8 and JDK 8 were installed.

I had the issue. You do not need to copy or to create any folder, just be careful of your SDK path. It must be the same of the environnement variable (ANDROID_HOME), which wasn't the same for me. I don't know why.

For many numbers it will not overflow.

If it will overflow - for one of those unlucky initial seeds, the overflown number will very likely converge toward 1 without another overflow.

Still this poses interesting question, is there some overflow-cyclic seed number?

Any simple final converging series starts with power of two value (obvious enough?).

2^64 will overflow to zero, which is undefined infinite loop according to algorithm (ends only with 1), but the most optimal solution in answer will finish due to shr rax producing ZF=1.

Can we produce 2^64? If the starting number is 0x5555555555555555, it's odd number, next number is then 3n+1, which is 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF + 1 = 0. Theoretically in undefined state of algorithm, but the optimized answer of johnfound will recover by exiting on ZF=1. The cmp rax,1 of Peter Cordes will end in infinite loop (QED variant 1, "cheapo" through undefined 0 number).

How about some more complex number, which will create cycle without 0? Frankly, I'm not sure, my Math theory is too hazy to get any serious idea, how to deal with it in serious way. But intuitively I would say the series will converge to 1 for every number : 0 < number, as the 3n+1 formula will slowly turn every non-2 prime factor of original number (or intermediate) into some power of 2, sooner or later. So we don't need to worry about infinite loop for original series, only overflow can hamper us.

So I just put few numbers into sheet and took a look on 8 bit truncated numbers.

There are three values overflowing to 0: 227, 170 and 85 (85 going directly to 0, other two progressing toward 85).

But there's no value creating cyclic overflow seed.

Funnily enough I did a check, which is the first number to suffer from 8 bit truncation, and already 27 is affected! It does reach value 9232 in proper non-truncated series (first truncated value is 322 in 12th step), and the maximum value reached for any of the 2-255 input numbers in non-truncated way is 13120 (for the 255 itself), maximum number of steps to converge to 1 is about 128 (+-2, not sure if "1" is to count, etc...).

Interestingly enough (for me) the number 9232 is maximum for many other source numbers, what's so special about it? :-O 9232 = 0x2410 ... hmmm.. no idea.

Unfortunately I can't get any deep grasp of this series, why does it converge and what are the implications of truncating them to k bits, but with cmp number,1 terminating condition it's certainly possible to put the algorithm into infinite loop with particular input value ending as 0 after truncation.

But the value 27 overflowing for 8 bit case is sort of alerting, this looks like if you count the number of steps to reach value 1, you will get wrong result for majority of numbers from the total k-bit set of integers. For the 8 bit integers the 146 numbers out of 256 have affected series by truncation (some of them may still hit the correct number of steps by accident maybe, I'm too lazy to check).

In my case it was broken because ANDROID_HOME and ANDROID_SDK_ROOT were different, so once I set ANDROID_HOME to be the same as ANDROID_SDK_ROOT then it started working.

I have the same problem. I avoid it with remove.packages("Package making this confusion") and it works. In my case, I don't need the second package, so that is not a very good idea.

If you are using Bearing Token Auth, the above samples do not return an Application User.

Instead, use this:

First run your project from Xcode then try to run from command line. That was the issue for me.

You can use Node.js for Mobile Apps.

It works on Android devices and simulators, with pre-built binaries for armeabi-v7a, x86, arm64-v8a, x86_64. It also works on iOS, though that's outside the scope of this question.

Like JXcore, it is used to host a Node.js engine in the same process as the app, in a dedicated thread. Unlike JXcore, it is basically pure Node.js, built as a library, with a few portability fixes to run on Android. This means that it's much easier to keep the project up to date with mainline Node.js.

Plugins for Cordova and React Native are also available. The plugins provide a communication layer between the JavaScript side of those frameworks and the Node.js side. They also simplify development by taking care of a few things automatically, like packaging modules and cross-compiling native modules at build time.

I'm probably a bit late to the party, but I wrote the junitcategorizer for my thesis project at TOPdesk. Earlier versions indeed used a company internal Parent POM. So your problems are caused by the Parent POM not being resolvable, since it is not available to the outside world.

You can either:

• Remove the <parent> block, but then have to configure the Surefire, Compiler and other plugins yourself
• (Only applicable to this specific case!) Change it to point to our Open Source Parent POM by setting:

You got to add python to your PATH variable. One thing you can do is Edit your Path variable now and add

;%PYTHON%;

Your variable PYTHON should point to the root directory of your python installation.

I was getting the same error when I tried to do :

cordova build ios

except mine said ** ARCHIVE FAILED ** rather than ** BUILD FAILED **.

I fixed it by opening the projectName.xcodeproj file in Xcode and then adjusting these 2 settings :

1. In Targets > General > Signing ensure you have selected a Team

2. In Targets > Build Settings > (search for "bitcode") set Enable Bitcode to "Yes"

Then I quit out of Xcode and reran cordova build ios and it worked.

This is not Windows, you do not "run the Terminal as admin". What you do is you run commands in the terminal as admin, typically using sudo:

I had the same error code but different issue

Error: /Users/danieloram/desktop/CordovaProject/platforms/android/gradlew: Command failed with exit code 1 Error output: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/android/dx/command/Main : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0

To resolve this issue I opened the Android SDK Manager, uninstalled the latest Android SDK build-tools that I had (24.0.3) and installed version 23.0.3 of the build-tools.

My cordova app then proceeded to build successfully for android.

In my case all Internet access must run through a proxy and npm was not configured with the proxy to reach http://registry.npmjs.org.

I ran npm install --log-level verbose to get more information and saw that the response had HTML stating I was not authenticated with the proxy.

Running the following fixed it (replacing below with your username/password/proxy address:

npm config set proxy 'username:[email protected]'
npm config set https-proxy 'username:[email protected]'

I do not advise putting the password in raw text instead using something like cntlm to set up a local proxy that delegates to the real proxy.

In iOS9, ATS enforces best practices during network calls, including the use of HTTPS.

From Apple documentation:

ATS prevents accidental disclosure, provides secure default behavior, and is easy to adopt. You should adopt ATS as soon as possible, regardless of whether you’re creating a new app or updating an existing one. If you’re developing a new app, you should use HTTPS exclusively. If you have an existing app, you should use HTTPS as much as you can right now, and create a plan for migrating the rest of your app as soon as possible.

In beta 1, currently there is no way to define this in info.plist. Solution is to add it manually:

The device I tested at had wrong time set. So when I tried accessing a page with a certificate that would run out soon it would deny access because the device though the certificate had expired. To fix, set proper time on the device!

After adding the cordova-plugin-whitelist, you must tell your application to allow access all the web-page links or specific links, if you want to keep it specific.

You can simply add this to your config.xml, which can be found in your application's root directory:

Alamofire's request creation methods offer the most common parameters for customization but sometimes those just aren't enough. The URLRequests created from the passed values can be modified by using a RequestModifier closure when creating requests. I've just had this same issue with Ionic.

It turns out nothing was wrong with my code, I simply had to quit the ionic serve session and run ionic serve again.

After going back into the app, my states worked fine.

I would also suggest pressing save on your app.js file a few times if you are running gulp, to make sure everything gets re-compiled.

If you have previously installed node using brew, then you will have a bunch of extra files that you should clean up before installing node "the right way". Plus, I had to add a few settings to my startup script to make things work smoothly.

The vulnerabilities were addressed in Apache Cordova 4.1.1. If you’re using a 3rd party library that bundles Apache Cordova, you’ll need to upgrade it to a version that bundles Apache Cordova 4.1.1 or later.

And before upgrading. Our Application versions were these.

1. Apache Cordova Cli version which is 5.4.1.
2. Cordova Android version which is 4.1.1.
3. Cordova IOS version which is 3.9.1.
4. Docs version is which is 5.4.1, shown on the Cordova Docs website.

The answer I have finally found is that the SMTP service on the server is not using the same certificate as https.

The diagnostic steps I had read here make the assumption they use the same certificate and every time I've tried this in the past they have done and the diagnostic steps are exactly what I've done to solve the problem several times.

In this case those steps didn't work because the certificates in use were different, and the possibility of this is something I had never come across.

The solution is either to export the actual certificate from the server and then install it as a trusted certificate on my machine, or to get a different valid/trusted certificate for the SMTP service on the server. That is currently with our IT department who administer the servers to decide which they want to do.

I got this error message in Xcode 8 while refactoring code in to a framework, it comes out that I forgot to declare the class in the framework as public

I was getting this error as well, but on actual devices rather than the simulator. We noticed the error when accessing our heroku backend on HTTPS (gunicorn server), and doing POSTS with large bodys (anything over 64Kb). We use HTTP Basic Auth for authentication, and noticed the error was resolved by NOT using the didReceiveChallenge: delegate method on NSURLSession, but rather baking in the Authentication into the original request header via adding Authentiation: Basic <Base64Encoded UserName:Password>. This prevents the necessary 401 to trigger the didReceiveChallenge: delegate message, and the subsequent network connection lost.

Please check the class you inherited. Whether it is simply Controller or APIController.

By mistake we might create a controller from MVC 5 controller. It should be from Web API Controller.

Spring Data JPA by default looks for an EntityManagerFactory named entityManagerFactory. Check out this part of the Javadoc of EnableJpaRepositories or Table 2.1 of the Spring Data JPA documentation.

That means that you either have to rename your emf bean to entityManagerFactory or change your Spring configuration to:

I solved the simmilar problem, when i tried to push to repo via gitlab ci/cd pipeline by the command "gem install rake && bundle install"

In my case it was permissions issue. The catch is that on device with Android 4.0.4 I got access to file without any error or exception. And on device with Android 5.1 it failed with ACCESS exception (open failed: EACCES (Permission denied)). Handled it with adding follow permission to manifest file:

So I guess that it's the difference between permissions management in OS versions that causes to failures.

Use FileSaver.js. It supports Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and IE 10+ (and probably IE < 10 with a few "polyfills" - see Note 4). FileSaver.js implements the saveAs() FileSaver interface in browsers that do not natively support it:

In Windows, you need to set node.js folder path into system variables or user variables.

1) open Control Panel -> System and Security -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment Variables

2) in "User variables" or "System variables" find variable PATH and add node.js folder path as value. Usually it is C:\Program Files\nodejs;. If variable doesn't exists, create it.

3) Restart your IDE or computer.

It is useful add also "npm" and "Git" paths as variable, separated by semicolon.

1) Wait for the popup balloon to appear.

2) Open a new tab.

3) Close the a new tab. The popup will be gone from the original tab.

With this extension installed, launch Chrome and immediately switch apps before the popup appears... a few seconds later, the popup will be gone and you won't see it when you switch back to Chrome.

I was also trying to use the [FromBody], however, I was trying to populate a string variable because the input will be changing and I just need to pass it along to a backend service but this was always null

So I changed the method signature to use a dynamic class and then convert that to string

This is a bug in .NET. When PowerShell launches, it caches the output handle (Console.Out). The Encoding property of that text writer does not pick up the value StandardOutputEncoding property.

When you change it from within PowerShell, the Encoding property of the cached output writer returns the cached value, so the output is still encoded with the default encoding.

As a workaround, I would suggest not changing the encoding. It will be returned to you as a Unicode string, at which point you can manage the encoding yourself.

Arrrgh! Faced this on macOS today and the issue was as simple as - the pop-up window suggesting to install the new Appium version was showing on the remote CI build server.

Just VNC'ing to it and clicking "Install later" fixed it.

This is somewhat related and might help others, I had a corrupt version of some of my plugins so I was able to just delete the entire contents of the plugins folder. Note, all references are still in the package.json and config.xml files to the plugins. So then when I removed and added the Android platform, it re-installed the uncorrupted versions of the plugins and fixed my problem.

The button code should be moved to the PlaceholderFragment() class. There you will call the layout fragment_main.xml in the onCreateView method. Like so

I'm a google apps for business subscriber and I spend the last couple hours just dealing with this, even after having all the correct settings (smtp, port, enableSSL, etc). Here's what worked for me and the web sites that were throwing the 5.5.1 error when trying to send an email:

1. Login to your admin.google.com
2. Click SECURITY <-- if this isn't visible, then click 'MORE CONTROLS', and add it from the list
3. Click Basic Settings
4. Scroll to the bottom of the Basic Settings box, click the link: 'Go to settings for less secure apps'
5. Select the option #3 : Enforce access to less secure apps for all users (Not Recommended)
6. Press SAVE at the bottom of the window

After doing this my email forms from the website were working again. Good luck!

The HTTP 502 "Bad Gateway" response is generated when Apache web server does not receive a valid HTTP response from the upstream server, which in this case is your Tomcat web application.

Some reasons why this might happen:

• Tomcat may have crashed
• The web application did not respond in time and the request from Apache timed out
• The Tomcat threads are timing out
• A network device is blocking the request, perhaps as some sort of connection timeout or DoS attack prevention system

If the problem is related to timeout settings, you may be able to resolve it by investigating the following:

• ProxyTimeout directive of Apache's mod_proxy
• Connector config of Apache Tomcat
• Your network device's manual

Some time if lots if Test files are there then Eclipse failed to pass -classpath options for all libs and path due to classpath param lenght limitations. To Solve it go to Run

Configerations -> JUnit -> Your Project Config -> ClassPath -> Check "Use Temporary Jar Options"

At least it solved my problem.

From my limited experience, I would say that the following two scenario could cause response status code: 0, keep in mind; their could be more, but I know of those two:

• your connection maybe responding slowly.
• or maybe the the back-end server is not available.

the thing is, status: 0 is slightly generic, and their could be more use cases that trigger an empty response body.

Super late here and I still couldn't uninstall using sudo as the other answers suggest. What did it for me was checking where cordova was installed by running

Have you tried to change the .htaccess file that laravel suggested if the default one doesn't work? I had this similar problem and changed it to

I have also noticed that cordova has a "serve" command that Phonegap doesn't. This command launches a local server on port 8000. This is handy for running your app in Chrome and using the Ripple emulator.

I too struggled a lot with phonegap steps.

500 Internal Server Error is shown if your php code has fatal errors but error displaying is switched off. You may try this to see the error itself instead of 500 error page:

The same issue came up for me inside of $elms.each().

Because:

1. the function you pass to .each(Function) exposes (at least) two arguments; the first being the index and the second being the element in the current element in the list, and

e.g. /var/www/scripts/testscript

Make sure the user/group for your testscript is the same as your webfiles. For instance if your client.php is owned by apache:apache, change the bash script to the same user/group using chown. You can find out what your client.php and web files are owned by doing ls -al.

It is very important that dataType must be text to prevent auto-parsing of malformed JSON you are receiving from web service.

Basically, I'm wiping out the outer JSON by removing topmost braces and key AuthenticateUserResult along with leading and trailing quotation marks. The result is a well formed JSON, ready for parsing.

I received the error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1011 when using Parse, and providing the wrong clientKey. As soon as I corrected that, it began working.

The answer was: start over, do everything the same but create a new provisioning profile, and install it. That worked. Inspecting all the details (entitlements in mobile provision) looks exactly the same as everything in my question here. But now it works. Apple: WAT?

Of course, it would have been obvious to do this if it was possible to delete provisioning profiles. But since that's not possible, I didn't want to clutter our team with a bunch of test profiles. Still, finally lost patience and tried it anyway, and it ended up working. Whatevs.

when do you call timerReset()? Perhaps you get that error when trying to call it after setTimeout() has already done its thing?

I'm not quite sure what a "good way" of copying a file is, but assuming "good" means "fast", I could broaden the subject a little.

Current operating systems have long been optimized to deal with run of the mill file copy. No clever bit of code will beat that. It is possible that some variant of your copy techniques will prove faster in some test scenario, but they most likely would fare worse in other cases.

Typically, the sendfile function probably returns before the write has been committed, thus giving the impression of being faster than the rest. I haven't read the code, but it is most certainly because it allocates its own dedicated buffer, trading memory for time. And the reason why it won't work for files bigger than 2Gb.

As long as you're dealing with a small number of files, everything occurs inside various buffers (the C++ runtime's first if you use iostream, the OS internal ones, apparently a file-sized extra buffer in the case of sendfile). Actual storage media is only accessed once enough data has been moved around to be worth the trouble of spinning a hard disk.

I suppose you could slightly improve performances in specific cases. Off the top of my head:

• If you're copying a huge file on the same disk, using a buffer bigger than the OS's might improve things a bit (but we're probably talking about gigabytes here).
• If you want to copy the same file on two different physical destinations you will probably be faster opening the three files at once than calling two copy_file sequentially (though you'll hardly notice the difference as long as the file fits in the OS cache)
• If you're dealing with lots of tiny files on an HDD you might want to read them in batches to minimize seeking time (though the OS already caches directory entries to avoid seeking like crazy and tiny files will likely reduce disk bandwidth dramatically anyway).

But all that is outside the scope of a general purpose file copy function.

So in my arguably seasoned programmer's opinion, a C++ file copy should just use the C++17 file_copy dedicated function, unless more is known about the context where the file copy occurs and some clever strategies can be devised to outsmart the OS.

In general you add all prerequisite steps to setUp and all clean-up steps to tearDown.

When a setUp() method is defined, the test runner will run that method prior to each test. Likewise, if a tearDown() method is defined, the test runner will invoke that method after each test.

For example you have a test that requires items to exist, or certain state - so you put these actions(creating object instances, initializing db, preparing rules and so on) into the setUp.

Also as you know each test should stop in the place where it was started - this means that we have to restore app state to it's initial state - e.g close files, connections, removing newly created items, calling transactions callback and so on - all these steps are to be included into the tearDown.

So the idea is that test itself should contain only actions that to be performed on the test object to get the result, while setUp and tearDown are the methods to help you to leave your test code clean and flexible.

You can create a setUp and tearDown for a bunch of tests and define them in a parent class - so it would be easy for you to support such tests and update common preparations and clean ups.

But as you can see I commented out codes that I think does not fit to my definition of NO INTERNET. E.g the code of -1012 (Authentication fail.) You may edit the list as you like.

In my project I use it at username/password entering from user. And in my view (physical) network connection errors could be the only reason to show alert view in your network based app. In any other case (e.g. incorrect username/password pair) I prefer to do some custom user friendly animation, OR just repeat the failed attempt again without any attention of the user. Especially if the user didn't explicitly initiated a network call.

You can simulate a click on any element in the DOM. Something like simulatedClick(document.getElementById('yourButtonId')) would work.

You can pass in an object into options to override the defaults (to simulate which mouse button you want, whether Shift/Alt/Ctrl are held, etc. The options it accepts are based on the MouseEvents API.

I've tested in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Internet Explorer might need special treatment, I'm not sure.

You can use @BeforeClass annotation to assure that setup() is always called first. Similarly, you can use @AfterClass annotation to assure that tearDown() is always called last.

This is usually not recommended, but it is supported.

It's not exactly what you want - but it'll essentially keep your DB connection open the entire time your tests are running, and then close it once and for all at the end.

It's an inlined image (png), encoded in base64. It can make a page faster: the browser doesn't have to query the server for the image data separately, saving a round trip.

(It can also make it slower if abused: these resources are not cached, so the bytes are included in each page load.)

Certainly the credit goes to @Harvey Kwok here, but I just wanted to add this example because in my case I wanted to get an actual List of UserPrincipals. It's probably more efficient to filter this query upfront, but in my small environment, it's just easier to pull everything and then filter as needed later from my list.

Depending on what you need, you may not need to cast to DirectoryEntry, but some properties are not available from UserPrincipal.

For me, this seems to work (Using IPv6 rather than IPv4) I don't know if this is different for some websites but for mine this works.

That's a lot of questions.

1. Why EOF is -1: usually -1 in POSIX system calls is returned on error, so i guess the idea is "EOF is kind of error"

2. any boolean operation (including !=) returns 1 in case it's TRUE, and 0 in case it's FALSE, so getchar() != EOF is 0 when it's FALSE, meaning getchar() returned EOF.

3. in order to emulate EOF when reading from stdin press Ctrl+D

Thanks Burhan Khalid. Your advice to make a a soft link make my installation finally work.

To recap:

1. You need both the basic version and the SDK version of instant client

2. You need to set both LD_LIBRARY_PATH and ORACLE_HOME

3. You need to create a soft link (ln -s libclntsh.so.12.1 libclntsh.so in my case)

None of this is documented anywhere, which is quite unbelievable and quite frustrating. I spent over 3 hours yesterday with failed builds because I didn't know to create a soft link.

If you can be sure to have precise alignment of your template (the icon) to the testing region, then any old sum of pixel differences will work.

If the alignment is only going to be a tiny bit off, then you can low-pass both images with cv::GaussianBlur before finding the sum of pixel differences.

If the quality of the alignment is potentially poor then I would recommend either a Histogram of Oriented Gradients or one of OpenCV's convenient keypoint detection/descriptor algorithms (such as SIFT or SURF).

I know this is old. I just wanted to dump this here for anyone that was looking for an answer to getting a domain name. This is in coordination with Peter's answer. There "is" a bug as stated by Rich. But, you can always make a simple workaround for that. The way I can tell if they are still on the domain or not is by pinging the domain name. If it responds, continue on with whatever it was that I needed the domain for. If it fails, I drop out and go into "offline" mode. Simple string method.

By the way, the implementation in http://www.functionx.com/csharp1/examples/linkedlist.htm have some problem:

One thing to watch out for in benchmarks (especially phpbench.com), is even though the numbers are sound, the tests are not. Alot of the tests on phpbench.com are doing things at are trivial and abuse PHP's ability to cache array lookups to skew benchmarks or in the case of iterating over an array doesn't actually test it in real world cases (no one writes empty for loops). I've done my own benchmarks that I've found are fairly reflective of the real world results and they always show the language's native iterating syntax foreach coming out on top (surprise, surprise).

Think of "BeforeClass" as a static initializer for your test case - use it for initializing static data - things that do not change across your test cases. You definitely want to be careful about static resources that are not thread safe.

Finally, use the "AfterClass" annotated method to clean up any setup you did in the "BeforeClass" annotated method (unless their self destruction is good enough).

"Before" & "After" are for unit test specific initialization. I typically use these methods to initialize / re-initialize the mocks of my dependencies. Obviously, this initialization is not specific to a unit test, but general to all unit tests.

The IIS Snap In only works in 64 bit and doesn't work in 32 bit, and a process spawned from a 32 bit app seems to work to be a 32 bit process and the same goes for 64 bit apps.

You can't use a filename like iexplore by itself because the path to internet explorer isn't listed in the PATH environment variable for the system or user.

However any path entered into the PATH environment variable allows you to use just the file name to execute it.

System32 isn't special in this regard as any directory can be added to the PATH variable. Each path is simply delimited by a semi-colon.

As a general rule (i.e. in vanilla kernels), fork/clone failures with ENOMEM occur specifically because of either an honest to God out-of-memory condition (dup_mm, dup_task_struct, alloc_pid, mpol_dup, mm_init etc. croak), or because security_vm_enough_memory_mm failed you while enforcing the overcommit policy.

Start by checking the vmsize of the process that failed to fork, at the time of the fork attempt, and then compare to the amount of free memory (physical and swap) as it relates to the overcommit policy (plug the numbers in.)

In your particular case, note that Virtuozzo has additional checks in overcommit enforcement. Moreover, I'm not sure how much control you truly have, from within your container, over swap and overcommit configuration (in order to influence the outcome of the enforcement.)

Now, in order to actually move forward I'd say you're left with two options:

• switch to a larger instance, or
• put some coding effort into more effectively controlling your script's memory footprint

NOTE that the coding effort may be all for naught if it turns out that it's not you, but some other guy collocated in a different instance on the same server as you running amock.

Memory-wise, we already know that subprocess.Popen uses fork/clone under the hood, meaning that every time you call it you're requesting once more as much memory as Python is already eating up, i.e. in the hundreds of additional MB, all in order to then exec a puny 10kB executable such as free or ps. In the case of an unfavourable overcommit policy, you'll soon see ENOMEM.

Alternatives to fork that do not have this parent page tables etc. copy problem are vfork and posix_spawn. But if you do not feel like rewriting chunks of subprocess.Popen in terms of vfork/posix_spawn, consider using suprocess.Popen only once, at the beginning of your script (when Python's memory footprint is minimal), to spawn a shell script that then runs free/ps/sleep and whatever else in a loop parallel to your script; poll the script's output or read it synchronously, possibly from a separate thread if you have other stuff to take care of asynchronously -- do your data crunching in Python but leave the forking to the subordinate process.

HOWEVER, in your particular case you can skip invoking ps and free altogether; that information is readily available to you in Python directly from procfs, whether you choose to access it yourself or via existing libraries and/or packages. If ps and free were the only utilities you were running, then you can do away with subprocess.Popen completely.

Finally, whatever you do as far as subprocess.Popen is concerned, if your script leaks memory you will still hit the wall eventually. Keep an eye on it, and check for memory leaks.

I've run into a same error in Eclipse recently, i.e., the Eclipse IDE couldn't find the Unit test class no matter how I change the configurations. Learning from the previous posts here and in other web sites, I've double checked and triple checked the classpath and source info, and move up and down the source folder and libraries, in both the "Run Configuration" and the "Java Build Path" config windows, and I've also cleaned the Project and rebuilt it, but none of the tricks work for me. The specific Java project is an old ANT compiled project and have lots of jars included in Eclipse library.

Then, I changed the unit test class to add a main() method and right click it to "Run As" a Java Application instead of JUnit test, and suddenly, Eclipse seems to wake up and identified the class correctly. Afterwards, I switched it back to a Unit test application, and it is still working.

This seems to be a bug in Eclipse, I am guessing the large number of libraries (>260) may confused the JVM's ability to locate my JUnit class.

The code example avoids a deadlock condition by calling p.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd before p.WaitForExit. A deadlock condition can result if the parent process calls p.WaitForExit before p.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd and the child process writes enough text to fill the redirected stream. The parent process would wait indefinitely for the child process to exit. The child process would wait indefinitely for the parent to read from the full StandardOutput stream.

There is a similar issue when you read all text from both the standard output and standard error streams. For example, the following C# code performs a read operation on both streams.

For the problem you're having about the batch file asking the user if the destination is a folder or file, if you know the answer in advance, you can do as such:

If destination is a file: echo f | [batch file path]

If folder: echo d | [batch file path]

It will essentially just pipe the letter after "echo" to the input of the batch file.

The catch: this only works if you're running the test suite, and not running Test1 and Test2 as individual JUnit tests. You mentioned you're using maven, and the maven surefire plugin likes to run tests individually, and not part of a suite. In this case, I would recommend creating a superclass that each test class extends. The superclass then contains the annotated @BeforeClass and @AfterClass methods. Although not quite as clean as the above method, I think it will work for you.

As for the problem with failed tests, you can set maven.test.error.ignore so that the build continues on failed tests. This is not recommended as a continuing practice, but it should get you functioning until all of your tests pass. For more detail, see the maven surefire documentation.

My issue was I was instatiating the player completely from start but I used an iframe instead of a wrapper div.

You can still use <hr> as a horizontal line, and you probably should. In HTML5 it defines a thematic break in content, without making any promises about how it is displayed. The attributes that aren't supported in the HTML5 spec are all related to the tag's appearance. The appearance should be set in CSS, not in the HTML itself.

So use the <hr> tag without attributes, then style it in CSS to appear the way you want.

Even the latest jQuery has that line, so you have these options:

I'm not fine with solutions that iterates over a collection and inside the loop manipulating the content of even that collection. This can result in unexpected behaviour.

Your code isn't iterating the value, but the code receiving it is.

The solution is: return an iterable. I suggest that you either convert the bool to a string (str(False)) or enclose it in a tuple ((False,)).

Always read the traceback: it's correct, and it's helpful.

In getting started with require.js I ran into the issue and as a beginner the docs may as well been written in greek.

The issue I ran into was that most of the beginner examples use "anonymous defines" when you should be using a "string id".

I had various JDK from 1.5 to 1.7 installed on my PC. I had a need to learn JDK1.8 so installed and my earlier versions of Eclipse (depended on earlier versions of JDK) and I got errors launching my Eclipse IDE, on the command line I tried to check the Java Version and got the error below,

Just put the desired logic in the constructor of the request scoped bean associated with the JSF page.

You could also consider to compile your own version. Try http://getbootstrap.com/customize/ (which has a apart section for the Navbars settings (Default navbar and Inverted Navbar)) or download your own copy from https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap.

You will find the navbar settings in variables.less. navbar.less is used to compile the navbar (depends on variables.less and mixins.less).

Copy the 'navbar-default section' and fill in your own color settings. Changing the variables in variables.less will be the easiest way (changing the default or inverse navbar won't be a problem because you have one navbar per page only).

For anyone checking this question recently, Rails 5.2+ now has ActiveStorage by default & I highly recommend checking it out.

Since it is part of the core Rails 5.2+ now, it is very well integrated & has excellent capabilities out of the box (still all other well-known gems like Carrierwave, Shrine, paperclip,... are great but this one offers very good features that we can consider for any new Rails project)

Paperclip team deprecated the gem in favor of the Rails ActiveStorage.

This is not how you initialize an array, but for:

1. The first declaration:

As you can see, no random content: if there are fewer initializers, the remaining of the array is initialized with 0. This the case even if the array is declared inside a function.

Note: this answer applies only to Angular components and directives, NOT services.

I had this same issue when ngOnInit (and other lifecycle hooks) were not firing for my components, and most searches led me here.

The issue is that I was using the arrow function syntax (=>) like this:

As other answer have suggested to perform most of this work in code only one answer actually provided a way to view your changes in the storyboard IB Interface. My answer goes beyond that answer by allowing you to change the cornerRadius of the view, button, image, etc.

The error you are getting seems to be because there is no swap module on the server, you should install swap on the server then run the script again

scope       :   who can see us, for example global, local...

If all you need is mousedown, you may be able to make do with the document.elementFromPoint method, by:

1. removing the top layer on mousedown,
2. passing the x and y coordinates from the event to the document.elementFromPoint method to get the element underneath, and then
3. restoring the top layer.

There is a gotcha with consts! If you reference a constant from another assembly, its value will be compiled right into the calling assembly. That way when you update the constant in the referenced assembly it won't change in the calling assembly!

In your code, try enclosing password inside single quote. Alternatively, as per the documentation of mysql, following should work -

FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

The last line is important or else your password change won't take effect unfortunately.

In printf() they behave identically so you can use any either %d or %i. But they behave differently in scanf().

I came across this thread when also trying to obtain the return value of a method that gets executed within a Thread. I thought I would post my solution that works.

This solution uses an class to store both the method to be executed (indirectly) and stores the returning value. The class can be used for any function and any return type. You just instantiate the object using the return value type and then pass the function to call via a lambda (or delegate).

After printing out the __dirname path, I realized that the __dirname path was where my server was running (app/).

The leading answers describe how to apply the changes from a specific commit to the current branch. If that's what you mean by "how to merge," then just use cherry-pick as they suggest.

But if you actually want a merge, i.e. you want a new commit with two parents -- the existing commit on the current branch, and the commit you wanted to apply changes from -- then a cherry-pick will not accomplish that.

Having true merge history may be desirable, for example, if your build process takes advantage of git ancestry to automatically set version strings based on the latest tag (using git describe).

Instead of cherry-pick, you can do an actual git merge --no-commit, and then manually adjust the index to remove any changes you don't want.

In JavaScript, all arrays are objects, but not all objects are arrays. The primary difference (and one that's pretty hard to mimic with straight JavaScript and plain objects) is that array instances maintain the length property so that it reflects one plus the numeric value of the property whose name is numeric and whose value, when converted to a number, is the largest of all such properties. That sounds really weird, but it just means that given an array instance, the properties with names like "0", "5", "207", and so on, are all treated specially in that their existence determines the value of length. And, on top of that, the value of length can be set to remove such properties. Setting the length of an array to 0 effectively removes all properties whose names look like whole numbers.

OK, so that's what makes an array special. All of that, however, has nothing at all to do with how the JavaScript [ ] operator works. That operator is an object property access mechanism which works on any object. It's important to note in that regard that numeric array property names are not special as far as simple property access goes. They're just strings that happen to look like numbers, but JavaScript object property names can be any sort of string you like.

Thus, the way the [ ] operator works in a for loop iterating through an array:

The [ ] operator there is doing precisely the same thing in both instances. The fact that in one case the object involved happens to be an array is unimportant, in other words.

When setting property values using [ ], the story is the same except for the special behavior around maintaining the length property. If you set a property with a numeric key on an array instance:

myArray[200] = 5;

then (assuming that "200" is the biggest numeric property name) the length property will be updated to 201 as a side-effect of the property assignment. If the same thing is done to a plain object, however:

myObj[200] = 5;

there's no such side-effect. The property called "200" of both the array and the object will be set to the value 5 in otherwise the exact same way.

One might think that because that length behavior is kind-of handy, you might as well make all objects instances of the Array constructor instead of plain objects. There's nothing directly wrong about that (though it can be confusing, especially for people familiar with some other languages, for some properties to be included in the length but not others). However, if you're working with JSON serialization (a fairly common thing), understand that array instances are serialized to JSON in a way that only involves the numerically-named properties. Other properties added to the array will never appear in the serialized JSON form. So for example:

Besides the answers already mentioned, here is an explanation of why you have some random characters at the end:
You are opening the file in r+ mode, not w mode. The key difference is that w mode clears the contents of the file as soon as you open it, whereas r+ doesn't.
This means that if your file content is "123456789" and you write "www" to it, you get "www456789". It overwrites the characters with the new input, but leaves any remaining input untouched.
You can clear a section of the file contents by using truncate(<startPosition>), but you are probably best off saving the updated file content to a string first, then doing truncate(0) and writing it all at once.

Unfortunately, it seems that Git has no such command built in. But you can easily add it yourself with Git aliases and some shell magic.

As pointed out by this answer, you can use git rev-parse --show-toplevel to show the root of your current Git folder.

But just to be clear, it is bad practice. Its support throughout browsers is shaky, and it's generally not a good idea. But in cases where you really have to use it, there it is.

So there are a few things to consider here as there are so many ways to skin this cat. Although answers have all already been given selected and chosen. I think it's important that this gets revisited with proper coding guidelines to avoid anyone going the wrong direction just because of "majority selected simple answer".

So first let's discuss the simple Post Delayed answer that is the winner selected answer overall in this thread.

A couple of things to consider. After the post delay, you can encounter memory leaks, dead objects, life cycles that have gone away, and more. So handling it properly is important as well. You can do this in a couple of ways.

For sake of modern development, I'll supply in KOTLIN

Here is a simple example of using the UI thread on a callback and confirming that your activity is still alive and well when you hit your callback.

If you put the launch(UI) into the method signature the job can be assigned in the calling line of code.

so moral of the story is to be safe with your delayed actions, make sure you remove your callbacks, or cancel your jobs and of course confirm you have the right life cycle to touch items on your delay callback complete. The Coroutines also offers cancelable actions.

Also worth noting that you should typically handle the various exceptions that can come with coroutines. For example, a cancelation, an exception, a timeout, whatever you decide to use. Here is a more advanced example if you decide to really start utilizing coroutines.

Everything in the java.lang package is implicitly imported (including String) and you do not need to do so yourself. This is simply a feature of the Java language. ArrayList and HashMap are however in the java.util package, which is not implicitly imported.

The package java.lang mostly includes essential features, such a class version of primitives, basic exceptions and the Object class. This being integral to most programs, forcing people to import them is redundant and thus the contents of this package are implicitly imported.

In order to limit the element inside its parent:

Turns out this was a problem, because the ASP.NET MVC 4 project was referencing a specific version of the Microsoft.Net.Compilers package. Visual Studio was using the compiler from this specific package, and not the compiler that was installed otherwise on the computer.

A warning or something would have been nice from VS2019 :-)

The solution then is to update the Microsoft.Net.Compilers package to a newer version.

Version 1.x is for C# 6 Version 2.x is for C# 7 Version 3.x is for C# 8 How I got to solve this was not immediately obvious. Visual Studio could have suggested or hinted that by me selecting a new version in the project settings that setting now conflicted with the package installed into the project.

(I ended up turning on Diagnostics level MSBuild logging to find out which CSC.EXE the IDE is really trying to use)

git log remotename/branchname

Will display the log of a given remote branch in that repository, but only the logs that you have "fetched" from their repository to your personal "copy" of the remote repository.

Remember that your clone of the repository will update its state of any remote branches only by doing git fetch. You can't connect directly to the server to check the log there, what you do is download the state of the server with git fetch and then locally see the log of the remote branches.

Perhaps another useful command could be:

git log HEAD..remote/branch

which will show you the commits that are in the remote branch, but not in your current branch (HEAD).

It may be "better" to not use attach at all. On the plus side, you can save some typing if you use attach. Let's say your dataset is called mydata and you have variables called v1, v2, and v3. If you don't attach mydata, then you will type mean(mydata$v1) to get the mean of v1. If you do attach mydata, then you will type mean(v1) to get the mean of v1. But, if you don't detach the mydata dataset (every time), you'll get the message about the objects being masked going forward.

Solution 1 (assuming you want to attach):

1. Use detach every time.
2. See Dan Tarr's response if you already have the data attached (and it may be in the global environment several times). Then, in the future, use detach every time.

Solution 2

Don't use attach. Instead, include the dataset name every time you refer to a variable. The form is mydata$v1 (name of data set, dollar sign, name of variable).

As for me, I used solution 1 a lot in the past, but I've moved to solution 2. It's a bit more typing in the beginning, but if you are going to use the code multiple times, it just seems cleaner.

For OpenShift, you only get one PORT and IP pair to bind to (per application). It sounds like you should be able to serve both services from a single nodejs instance by adding internal routes for each service endpoint.

For me this was being caused by having a command prompt open in the targeted folder (C:\users\username\source\repos\project\project\bin\debug\app.publish).

Not sure why DEBUGGING requires access to the publish folder, but closing the command window solved the issue for me.

I was having a problem figuring out how to send multiple parameters to an action method and have one of them be the json object and the other be a plain string. I'm new to MVC and I had just forgotten that I already solved this problem with non-ajaxed views.

What I would do if I needed, say, two different objects on a view. I would create a ViewModel class. So say I needed the person object and the address object, I would do the following:

Warning: If you are saving your keys under C:/User/username/.ssh ( the default place), make sure to back up your keys somewhere (eg your password manager).

After the most recent Windows 10 Update (version 1607), my .ssh folder was empty. This is where my keys have always been, but Windows decided to delete them when updating.

If you have a SOCK_STREAM socket, recv just gets "up to the first 3000 bytes" from the stream. There is no clear guidance on how big to make the buffer: the only time you know how big a stream is, is when it's all done;-).

If you have a SOCK_DGRAM socket, and the datagram is larger than the buffer, recv fills the buffer with the first part of the datagram, returns -1, and sets errno to EMSGSIZE. Unfortunately, if the protocol is UDP, this means the rest of the datagram is lost -- part of why UDP is called an unreliable protocol (I know that there are reliable datagram protocols but they aren't very popular -- I couldn't name one in the TCP/IP family, despite knowing the latter pretty well;-).

To grow a buffer dynamically, allocate it initially with malloc and use realloc as needed. But that won't help you with recv from a UDP source, alas.

Don't tried to get result with a promise as a variable, of course no way. But I found and use a solution below to access to the result as a property.

I found the root cause is when you install the nuget packages through the UI the scripts won't run sometimes. So I'd recommend open Output view while you do that. If you don't see the license agreement window when installing Nuget, there is a better change your IDE isn't doing the job right. So that's why a restart, cleanup and rebuild helps!

PS: That adding anything under System.Data.Entity.* helps because, that triggers the Nuget installer to work properly. But this I found a quite unreliable way.

So just watch the output window, you MUST see something like a successful nuget installation message at the end. Most the time when there an issue, Nuget installer won't even kick off. That's when your restart of IDE is going to help.

When things go well, Nuget package manager and IDE (I used Installer term above) would do the change, compile the solution and keep you happy! But when its not give a little help by restarting IDE and watching that Output window!

As others have said, @Transient is used to mark fields which shouldn't be persisted. Consider this short example:

When this class is fed to the JPA, it persists the gender and id but doesn't try to persist the helper boolean methods - without @Transient the underlying system would complain that the Entity class Person is missing setMale() and setFemale() methods and thus wouldn't persist Person at all.

A SELECT INTO statement creates the table for you. There is no need for the CREATE TABLE statement before hand.

What is happening is that you create #ivmy_cash_temp1 in your CREATE statement, then the DB tries to create it for you when you do a SELECT INTO. This causes an error as it is trying to create a table that you have already created.

Either eliminate the CREATE TABLE statement or alter your query that fills it to use INSERT INTO SELECT format.

If you need a unique ID added to your new row then it's best to use SELECT INTO... since IDENTITY() only works with this syntax.

Yes, You can define an array as constant. From PHP 5.6 onwards, it is possible to define a constant as a scalar expression, and it is also possible to define an array constant. It is possible to define constants as a resource, but it should be avoided, as it can cause unexpected results.

In your case the service is found but the operation not. The Axis2 engine uses SOAPAction in order to figure out the requested operation and, in your example, the SOAPAction is missing, therefore I would try to define the SOAPAction header

A "simple command" is a sequence of optional variable assignments and redirections, in any sequence, optionally followed by words and redirections, terminated by a control operator.

In that context, a word is the command that bash is going to run. Any string containing = (in any position other than at the beginning of the string) which is not a redirection and in which the portion of the string before the = is a valid variable name is a variable assignment, while any string that is not a redirection or a variable assignment is a command. In STR = "foo", STR is not a variable assignment.

Use Fake sendmail for Windows to send mail.

1. Create a folder named sendmail in C:\wamp\.
2. Extract these 4 files in sendmail folder: sendmail.exe, libeay32.dll, ssleay32.dll and sendmail.ini.
3. Then configure C:\wamp\sendmail\sendmail.ini:

smtp_server=smtp.gmail.com
smtp_port=465
[email protected]
auth_password=your_password

4. The above will work against a Gmail account. And then configure php.ini:

   sendmail_path = "C:\wamp\sendmail\sendmail.exe -t"

5. Now, restart Apache, and that is basically all you need to do.

This shows image from canvas on new page, but if you have open popup in new tab setting it shows about:blank in address bar.

EDIT:- though window.open("<img src='"+ c.toDataURL('image/png') +"'/>") does not work in FF or Chrome, following works though rendering is somewhat different from what is shown on canvas, I think transparency is the issue:

If you are using C# and the Identity column is int, create a new instance of int without providing any value to it.It worked for me.

EDIT + There are 2 fundamental reasons for avoiding use of functions on data in the where clause (or in join conditions).

1. In most cases using a function on data to filter or join removes the ability of the optimizer to access an index on that field, hence making the query slower (or more "costly")
2. The other is, for every row of data involved there is at least one calculation being performed. That could be adding hundreds, thousands or many millions of calculations to the query so that we can compare to a single criteria like 2014-02-07. It is far more efficient to alter the criteria to suit the data instead.

"Amending the criteria to suit the data" is my way of describing "use SARGABLE predicates"

And do not use between either.

the best practice with date and time ranges is to avoid BETWEEN and to always use the form:

WHERE col >= '20120101' AND col < '20120201' This form works with all types and all precisions, regardless of whether the time part is applicable.

You need to include the protocol scheme:

'http://192.168.1.61:8080/api/call'

Without the http:// part, requests has no idea how to connect to the remote server.

Note that the protocol scheme must be all lowercase; if your URL starts with HTTP:// for example, it won’t find the http:// connection adapter either.

To make the permissions for this work, I created a new role in the admin GUI and I added two privileges to that role: Artifact Download and Artifact Upload. The standard "Repo: All Maven Repositories (Full Control)"-role is not enough. You won't find this in the REST API documentation that comes bundled with the Nexus server, so these parameters might change in the future.

On a Sonatype JIRA issue, it was mentioned that they "are going to overhaul the REST API (and the way it's documentation is generated) in an upcoming release, most likely later this year".

I don't think converting to a tuple is the right answer. You need go and look at where you are calling the function and make sure that c is a list of list of strings, or whatever you designed this function to work with

Python is a language: a set of rules that can be used to write programs. There are several implementaions of this language.

No matter what implementation you take, they do pretty much the same thing: take the text of your program and interpret it, executing its instructions. None of them compile your code into C or any other language.

CPython is the original implementation, written in C. (The "C" part in "CPython" refers to the language that was used to write Python interpreter itself.)

Jython is the same language (Python), but implemented using Java.

IronPython interpreter was written in C#.

• Triggered 444 times using BAD method
• Triggered 666 times using WORSE method
• Triggered 354 times using BETTER method

Now granted, this is not the best test or the best design but when faced with a situation where you have no choice but implementing such a loop or when dealing with existing code that behaves badly, choosing to reuse objects instead of creating new ones can reduce the number of times the garbage collector gets in the way...

I resolved most issues by discovering that the

packages.config

was missing the appropriate reference

The solution I chose is similar to Daniel's, but rather than use an object factory and override the toString, I explicitly add the hash to the object when it is first requested through a getHashCode function. A little messy, but better for my needs :)
