You could use the library lxml (Note top level link is now spam) , which is a superset of ElementTree. Its tostring() method includes a parameter pretty_print - for example:

Element objects have no .getroot() method. Drop that call, and the .tostring() call works:

xmlstr = ElementTree.tostring(et, encoding='utf8', method='xml')

You only need to use .getroot() if you have an ElementTree instance.

Other notes:

• This produces a bytestring, which in Python 3 is the bytes type.
  If you must have a str object, you have two options:

  1. Decode the resulting bytes value, from UTF-8: xmlstr.decode("utf8")

  2. Use encoding='unicode'; this avoids an encode / decode cycle:

     xmlstr = ElementTree.tostring(et, encoding='unicode', method='xml')
     

• If you wanted the UTF-8 encoded bytestring value or are using Python 2, take into account that ElementTree doesn't properly detect utf8 as the standard XML encoding, so it'll add a <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf8'?> declaration. Use utf-8 or UTF-8 (with a dash) if you want to prevent this. When using encoding="unicode" no declaration header is added.

Here's how to do this with lxml without having to hard-code the namespaces or scan the text for them (as Martijn Pieters mentions):

UPDATE:

5 years later I'm still running into variations of this issue. lxml helps as I showed above, but not in every case. The commenters may have a valid point regarding this technique when it comes merging documents, but I think most people are having difficulty simply searching documents.

Here's another case and how I handled it:

xmlns without a prefix means that unprefixed tags get this default namespace. This means when you search for Tag2, you need to include the namespace to find it. However, lxml creates an nsmap entry with None as the key, and I couldn't find a way to search for it. So, I created a new namespace dictionary like this

If I understand your question correctly:

The findall() method returns a list of all matching elements, whereas find() returns only the first matching element. The first example loops over all the found elements, the second loops over the child elements of the values element, in this case leading to the same result.

I don't see where the problem with not finding timeSeries comes from however. Maybe you just forgot the getroot() call? (note that you don't really need it because you can work from the elementtree itself too, if you change the path expression to for example /timeSeriesResponse/timeSeries/values or //timeSeries/values)

The only thing that worked for me is I had to add mode and encoding while opening the file like below:

with open(filenames[0], mode='r',encoding='utf-8') as f:

Otherwise it was failing every time with invalid token error if I simply do this:

In C, a string is actually stored as an array of characters, so the 'string pointer' is pointing to the first character. For instance,

There are already a lot of answers with respect to CASE. I will explain when and how to use CASE.

You can use CASE expressions anywhere in the SQL queries. CASE expressions can be used within the SELECT statement, WHERE clauses, Order by clause, HAVING clauses, Insert, UPDATE and DELETE statements.

A CASE expression has the following two formats:

1. Simple CASE expression

   CASE expression
   WHEN expression1 THEN Result1
   WHEN expression2 THEN Result2
   ELSE ResultN
   END
   

   This compares an expression to a set of simple expressions to find the result. This expression compares an expression to the expression in each WHEN clause for equivalency. If the expression within the WHEN clause is matched, the expression in the THEN clause will be returned.

   This is where the OP's question is falling. 22978 OR 23218 OR 23219 will not get a value equal to the expression i.e. ebv.db_no. That's why it is giving an error. The data types of input_expression and each when_expression must be the same or must be an implicit conversion.

2. Searched CASE expressions

I've written a simple class (an AlertDialogBuilder) that you can use to disable the auto-dismiss feature when pressing the dialog's buttons.

It is compatible also with Android 1.6, so it doesn't make use of the OnShowListener (which is available only API >= 8).

So, instead of using AlertDialog.Builder you can use this CustomAlertDialogBuilder. The most important part is that you should not call create(), but only the show() method. I've added methods like setCanceledOnTouchOutside() and setOnDismissListener so that you can still set them directly on the builder.

I tested it on Android 1.6, 2.x, 3.x and 4.x so it should work pretty well. If you find some problems please comment here.

You can create a Service without a Main Activity by following a few easy steps. You'll be able to install this app through Android Studio and debug it like a normal app.

First, create a project in Android Studio without an activity. Then create your Service class and add the service to your AndroidManifest.xml

If you are running in Android 29 then you have to use scoped storage or for now, you can bypass this issue by using:

I'm guessing that it's too late for an answer, and this might not be a good one, but here you go...

What about putting it inside of a while loop with a timer on it of some sort. I'm more of a Perl guy than Solaris, but depending on the shell you're using, you should be able to do something like:

And then just add a flag in the while loop, so that if it times out before completing, you can cite the timeout as reason for failure.

I suspect that the telnet has a timeout switch as well, but just off the top of my head, I think the above will work.

There are a few. I was looking into MBTrading for a friend. I didn't get too far, as my friend lost interest. Seemed relatively straigt forward with a C# and VB.Net SDK. They had some docs and everything. This was ~6 months ago, so it may be better (or worse) by now.

IIRC, you can create a demo account for free. I don't remember all the details, but it let you connect to their test server and pull quotes and make fake trades and such to get your software fine tuned.

Don't know much about cost for an actual account or anything.

If by binary you mean bytes type, you can just use encode method of the string object that encodes your string as a bytes object using the passed encoding type. You just need to make sure you pass a proper encoding to encode function.

hexlify return the hexadecimal representation of the binary data then you can convert to int by specifying 16 as its base then convert it to binary with bin.

I'm too fond of <?=$whatever?> to let it go. Never had a problem with it. I'll wait until it bites me in the ass. In all seriousness, 85% of (my) clients have access to php.ini in the rare occasion they are turned off. The other 15% use mainstream hosting providers, and virtually all of them have them enabled. I love 'em.

(It would really have been nice if you'd mentioned which Color type you were interested in to start with...)

One simple way of doing this is to just build up a dictionary via reflection:

If the InputStream you're using supports mark/reset support, you could also attempt to read the first byte of the stream and then reset it to its original position:

I know this question is old, but it has been causing a lot of confusion for many reactjs users for a long time, including me. Recently Dan Abramov (from the react team) just wrote up a great explanation as to why the nature of setState is async:

setState is meant to be asynchronous, and there are a few really good reasons for that in the linked explanation by Dan Abramov. This doesn't mean it will always be asynchronous - it mainly means that you just can't depend on it being synchronous. ReactJS takes into consideration many variables in the scenario that you're changing the state in, to decide when the state should actually be updated and your component rerendered.
A simple example to demonstrate this, is that if you call setState as a reaction to a user action, then the state will probably be updated immediately (although, again, you can't count on it), so the user won't feel any delay, but if you call setState in reaction to an ajax call response or some other event that isn't triggered by the user, then the state might be updated with a slight delay, since the user won't really feel this delay, and it will improve performance by waiting to batch multiple state updates together and rerender the DOM fewer times.

As far as the C and C++ languages are concerned there is no special meaning to an underscore in the name (beginning, middle or end). It's just a valid variable name character. The "conventions" come from coding practices within a coding community.

As already indicated by various examples above, _ in the beginning may mean private or protected members of a class in C++.

Let me just give some history that may be fun trivia. In UNIX if you have a core C library function and a kernel back-end where you want to expose the kernel function to user space as well the _ is stuck in front of the function stub that calls the kernel function directly without doing anything else. The most famous and familiar example of this is exit() vs _exit() under BSD and SysV type kernels: There, exit() does user-space stuff before calling the kernel's exit service, whereas _exit just maps to the kernel's exit service.

So _ was used for "local" stuff in this case local being machine-local. Typically _functions() were not portable. In that you should not expect same behaviour across various platforms.

Now as for _ in variable names, such as

int _foo;

Well psychologically, an _ is an odd thing to have to type in the beginning. So if you want to create a variable name that would have a lesser chance of a clash with something else, ESPECIALLY when dealing with pre-processor substitutions you want consider uses of _.

My basic advice would be to always follow the convention of your coding community, so that you can collaborate more effectively.

In python, integers and strings are immutable and are passed by value. You cannot pass a string, or integer, to a function and expect the argument to be modified.

So to convert string limit="100" to a number, you need to do

limit = int(limit) # will return new object (integer) and assign to "limit"

If you really want to go around it, you can use a list. Lists are mutable in python; when you pass a list, you pass it's reference, not copy. So you could do:

def int_in_place(mutable):
    mutable[0] = int(mutable[0])

mutable = ["1000"]
int_in_place(mutable)
# now mutable is a list with a single integer

But you should not need it really. (maybe sometimes when you work with recursions and need to pass some mutable state).

For simple strings like that I prefer to use

"string".concat("string").concat("string");

In order, I would say the preferred method of constructing a string is using StringBuilder, String#concat(), then the overloaded + operator. StringBuilder is a significant performance increase when working large strings just like using the + operator is a large decrease in performance (exponentially large decrease as the String size increases). The one problem with using .concat() is that it can throw NullPointerExceptions.

First, you should list your plugins:

The problem is that R is a pojo file generated when you build the project and it consist of references to resources in the res directory such as strings, drawable (icons or images) xml layouts etc. You may find it interesting to read the R.java file although you may have to exit android studio to do so. You may find it helpful to ignore this type of error because when you compile and build it will go away.

since your local username on your laptop frequently does not match the server's username, you can set this in the ~/.subversion/servers file

The onload event should be fired when the user hits the back button. Elements not created via JavaScript will retain their values. I suggest keeping a backup of the data used in dynamically created element within an INPUT TYPE="hidden" set to display:none then onload using the value of the input to rebuild the dynamic elements to the way they were.

If the code has already been checked out by the user that if offline and they have the latest version on their local hd, then they just need to browse to the solution location and open the solution by double clicking sln file. The solution will open in disconnected mode.

I wrote myself two utility methods that seem to work in most conditions, handling scroll, translation and scaling, but not rotation. I did this after trying to use offsetDescendantRectToMyCoords() in the framework, which had inconsistent accuracy. It worked in some cases but gave wrong results in others.

I had the same issue on my React Native Project. Was not just that ADV Manager didn't show up on the menu but other tools where missing as well.

Everything was back to normal when I opened the project using Import project option instead of Open an Existing Android Studio project.

This question has already been marked answered, but I'd like to share some information that might help others with using FileList.

It would be convenient to treat a FileList as an array, but methods like sort, shift, pop, and slice don't work. As others have suggested, you can copy the FileList to an array. However, rather than using a loop, there's a simple one line solution to handle this conversion.

The date filter always formats the dates using the local timezone. You'll have to write your own filter, based on the getUTCXxx() methods of Date, or on a library like moment.js.

The function strstr() in PHP 5.3 should do this job.. The third parameter however should be set to true..

But if you're not using 5.3, then the function below should work accurately:

See sys.path As initialized upon program startup, the first item of this list, path[0], is the directory containing the script that was used to invoke the Python interpreter.

Use this path as the root folder from which you apply your relative path

A dangling pointer points to memory that has already been freed. The storage is no longer allocated. Trying to access it might cause a Segmentation fault.

Common way to end up with a dangling pointer:

You are returning an address which was a local variable, which would have gone out of scope by the time control was returned to the calling function. (Undefined behaviour)

Another common dangling pointer example is an access of a memory location via pointer, after free has been explicitly called on that memory.

A memory leak is memory which hasn't been freed, there is no way to access (or free it) now, as there are no ways to get to it anymore. (E.g. a pointer which was the only reference to a memory location dynamically allocated (and not freed) which points somewhere else now.)

Char-ptr ch is a local variable that goes out of scope at the end of the function, leaking the dynamically allocated 10 bytes.

You might be in debug mode. If this is the problem, you can simply click on the "Java" button (next to the "Debug" button) in the upper-right hand corner, or click on "Open Perspective" and then select "Java (default)" from the "Open Perspective" window.

Remember to include the native library folder in PATH.

The behaviour differs depending on whether the target file name already exists or not. It's usually a safety mechanism, and there are at least 3 different cases:

Target file does not exist:

In this case svn mv should work as follows:

Use PowerShell

In Windows, you can use / in your path just like Linux or macOS in all places as long as you use PowerShell as your command-line interface. It comes pre-installed on Windows and it supports many Linux commands like ls command.

If you use Windows Command Prompt (the one that appears when you type cmd in Windows Start Menu), you need to specify paths with \ just inside it. You can use / paths in all other places (code editor, Python interactive mode, etc.).

If the first segment doesn't start with / it is a relative route. router.navigate needs a relativeTo parameter for relative navigation

Both approaches behave differently if you use a spied object (annotated with @Spy) instead of a mock (annotated with @Mock):

• when(...) thenReturn(...) makes a real method call just before the specified value will be returned. So if the called method throws an Exception you have to deal with it / mock it etc. Of course you still get your result (what you define in thenReturn(...))

• doReturn(...) when(...) does not call the method at all.

Regarding this part:

When I convert it to UTF-8 without bom and close file, the file is again ANSI when I reopen.

The easiest solution is to avoid the problem entirely by properly configuring Notepad++.

Try Settings -> Preferences -> New document -> Encoding -> choose UTF-8 without BOM, and check Apply to opened ANSI files.

That way all the opened ANSI files will be treated as UTF-8 without BOM.

The input operator for number skips leading whitespace, so you can just read the number in a loop:

You could use a lookahead:

This will split at every space that is followed by a string of upper-case letters which end in a word-boundary.

Note that the square brackets are only for readability and could as well be omitted.

If it is enough that the first letter of a word is upper case (so if you would want to split in front of Hello as well) it gets even easier:

Now this splits at every space followed by any upper-case letter.

Any ranking of various data structures will be at least partially tied to problem context. It would help to learn how to analyze time and space performance of algorithms. Typically, "big O notation" is used, e.g. binary search is in O(log n) time, which means that the time to search for an element is the log (in base 2, implicitly) of the number of elements. Intuitively, since every step discards half of the remaining data as irrelevant, doubling the number of elements will increases the time by 1 step. (Binary search scales rather well.) Space performance concerns how the amount of memory grows for larger data sets. Also, note that big-O notation ignores constant factors - for smaller data sets, an O(n^2) algorithm may still be faster than an O(n * log n) algorithm that has a higher constant factor. Complex algorithms often have more work to do on startup.

Besides time and space, other characteristics include whether a data structure is sorted (trees and skiplists are sorted, hash tables are not), persistence (binary trees can reuse pointers from older versions, while hash tables are modified in place), etc.

While you'll need to learn the behavior of several data structures to be able to compare them, one way to develop a sense for why they differ in performance is to closely study a few. I'd suggest comparing singly-linked lists, binary search trees, and skip lists, all of which are relatively simple, but have very different characteristics. Think about how much work it takes to find a value, add a new value, find all values in order, etc.

There are various texts on analyzing algorithms / data structure performance that people recommend, but what really made them make sense to me was learning OCaml. Dealing with complex data structures is ML's strong suit, and their behavior is much clearer when you can avoid pointers and memory management as in C. (Learning OCaml just to understand data structures is almost certainly the long way around, though. :) )

First off, EC2 and Elastic Compute Cloud are the same thing.

Next, AWS encompasses the range of Web Services that includes EC2 and Elastic Beanstalk. It also includes many others such as S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and all the others.

EC2

EC2 is Amazon's service that allows you to create a server (AWS calls these instances) in the AWS cloud. You pay by the hour and only what you use. You can do whatever you want with this instance as well as launch n number of instances.

Elastic Beanstalk

Elastic Beanstalk is one layer of abstraction away from the EC2 layer. Elastic Beanstalk will setup an "environment" for you that can contain a number of EC2 instances, an optional database, as well as a few other AWS components such as a Elastic Load Balancer, Auto-Scaling Group, Security Group. Then Elastic Beanstalk will manage these items for you whenever you want to update your software running in AWS. Elastic Beanstalk doesn't add any cost on top of these resources that it creates for you. If you have 10 hours of EC2 usage, then all you pay is 10 compute hours.

Running Wordpress

For running Wordpress, it is whatever you are most comfortable with. You could run it straight on a single EC2 instance, you could use a solution from the AWS Marketplace, or you could use Elastic Beanstalk.

What to pick?

In the case that you want to reduce system operations and just focus on the website, then Elastic Beanstalk would be the best choice for that. Elastic Beanstalk supports a PHP stack (as well as others). You can keep your site in version control and easily deploy to your environment whenever you make changes. It will also setup an Autoscaling group which can spawn up more EC2 instances if traffic is growing.

Posting another script solution DateX (author) for anyone interested

DateX does NOT wrap the original Date object, but instead offers an identical interface with additional methods to format, localise, parse, diff and validate dates easily. So one can just do new DateX(..) instead of new Date(..) or use the lib as date utilities or even as wrapper or replacement around Date class.

The date format used is identical to php date format.

c-like format is also supported (although not fully)

for the example posted (YYYY/mm/dd hh:m:sec) the format to use would be Y/m/d H:i:s eg

The angular-ui ui-if directive watches for changes to the if condition/expression. Mine doesn't. So, while my simple implementation will update the view correctly if the model changes such that it only affects the template output, it won't update the view correctly if the condition/expression answer changes.

E.g., if the value of a from.name changes in the model, the view will update. But if you delete $scope.data.messages[0].from, the from name will be removed from the view, but the template will not be removed from the view because the if-condition/expression is not being watched.

On Windows, many editors assume the default ANSI encoding (CP1252 on US Windows) instead of UTF-8 if there is no byte order mark (BOM) character at the start of the file. Ok, I have another solution for one specific case: if you use WINDOWS 10, and you updated it recently (with Anniversary Update package) you need to follow the steps below:

1. Check your Windows Event Viewer - press Win+R and type: eventvwr, then press ENTER.
2. On the left side of Windows Event Viewer click on Windows Logs -> Application.
3. Now you need to find some ERRORS for source IIS-W3SVC-WP in middle window.
4. Probably you will see message like:

The Module DLL >>path-to-DLL<< failed to load. The data is the error.

5. You have to go to Control Panel -> Program and Features and depending on which dll cannot be load you need to repair another module:
   • for rewrite.dll - find IIS URL Rewrite Module 2 and click Change->Repair
   • for aspnetcore.dll - find Microsoft .NET Core 1.0.0 - VS 2015 Tooling ... and click Change->Repair.
6. Restart your computer.

It concerns the JS modules or ES modules: when your onload handler resides in "classical" JS file (i.e. referred without <script type="module" … >, either way is possible; when your onload handler resides in "module" JS file (i.e. referred with <script type="module" … >, the <body onload="fn1()"> will fail with "fn1() is not defined" error. If you wanted to search some elements based on a regex, you can use the filter function. For example, say you wanted to make sure that in all the input boxes, the user has only entered numbers, so let's find all the inputs which don't match and highlight them.

I ran into this trying to revive an accidentally deleted Docker Container (oraclelinux's MySQL) from a luckily-not-removed docker volume that had the DB data in physical files.

So, all I wanted to do was to turn the data from physical files into a .sql importable file to recreate the container with the DB and the data.

I tried biolin's solution, but ran into some [InnoDB] Multiple files found for the same tablespace ID errors, after restart. I realized that doing open hurt surgery on certain folders/files there is quite trickey.

The solution that worked for me was temporarily changing the datadir= in my.cnf to the available folder and restarting the MySQL server. It did the job perfectly!

I believe that you are trying to connect to a something using SSL but that something is providing a certificate which is not verified by root certification authorities such as verisign.. In essence by default secure connections can only be established if the person trying to connect knows the counterparties keys or some other verndor such as verisign can step in and say that the public key being provided is indeed right..

ALL OS's trust a handful of certification authorities and smaller certificate issuers need to be certified by one of the large certifiers making a chain of certifiers if you get what I mean...

Anyways coming back to the point.. I had a similiar problem when programming a java applet and a java server ( Hopefully some day I will write a complete blogpost about how I got all the security to work :) )

In essence what I had to do was to extract the public keys from the server and store it in a keystore inside my applet and when I connected to the server I used this key store to create a trust factory and that trust factory to create the ssl connection. There are alterante procedures as well such as adding the key to the JVM's trusted host and modifying the default trust store on start up..

I did this around two months back and dont have source code on me right now.. use google and you should be able to solve this problem. If you cant message me back and I can provide you the relevent source code for the project .. Dont know if this solves your problem since you havent provided the code which causes these exceptions. Furthermore I was working wiht applets thought I cant see why it wont work on Serverlets...

This means you are mapping a column twice in your entity class. Explaining with an example...

One approach is to create a custom subclass of the Apache Commons AbstractHashedMap class, overriding the hash and isEqualKeys methods to perform case insensitive hashing and comparison of keys. (Note - I've never tried this myself ...)

This avoids the overhead of creating new objects each time you need to do a map lookup or update. And the common Map operations should O(1) ... just like a regular HashMap.

And if you are prepared to accept the implementation choices they have made, the Apache Commons CaseInsensitiveMap does the work of customizing / specializing AbstractHashedMap for you.

But if O(logN) get and put operations are acceptable, a TreeMap with a case insensitive string comparator is an option; e.g. using String.CASE_INSENSITIVE_ORDER.

And if you don't mind creating a new temporary String object each time you do a put or get, then Vishal's answer is just fine. (Though, I note that you wouldn't be preserving the original case of the keys if you did that ...)

I tend to use a variation of what mu is too short posted:

As long as the tables have identical fields (excepting the auto increment on the log table), then this works nicely.

Since I use stored procedures whenever possible (to make life easier on other programmers who aren't too familiar with databases), this solves the problem of having to go back and update procedures every time you add a new field to a table.

It also ensures that if you add new fields to a table they will start appearing in the log table immediately without having to update your database queries (unless of course you have some that set a field explicitly)

Warning: You will want to make sure to add any new fields to both tables at the same time so that the field order stays the same... otherwise you will start getting odd bugs. If you are the only one that writes database interfaces AND you are very careful then this works nicely. Otherwise, stick to naming all of your fields.

Note: On second thought, unless you are working on a solo project that you are sure won't have others working on it stick to listing all field names explicitly and update your log statements as your schema changes. This shortcut probably is not worth the long term headache it can cause... especially on a production system.

1. To me the best answer to the question what is a DTO is that DTO's are simple objects that should not contain any business logic or methods implementation that would require testing.
2. Normally your model (using the MVC pattern) are intelligent models, and they can contain a lot of/some methods that do some different operations for that model specifically (not business logic, this should be at the controllers). However, when you transfer data (eg. calling a REST (GET/POST/whatever) endpoint from somewhere, or consuming a webservice using SOA, etc...) you do not want to transmit the big sized object with code that is not necessary for the endpoint, will consume data, and slow down the transfer.

(You're not searching through "JSON", you're searching through an array -- the JSON string has already been deserialized into an object graph, in this case an array.)

Could you do the following instead?

Then finding the relevant entry by ID is trivial:

This takes advantage of the fact that in JavaScript, you can index into an object using a property name as a string -- and that string can be a literal, or it can come from a variable as with id above.

It looks like you need this to be an array, in which case there isn't really a better way than searching through the array unless you want to put a map on it, which you could do if you have control of the generation of the object. E.g., say you have this originally:

Then getting an entry for the id in the variable id is trivial:

This takes advantage of the fact you can index into objects using property names.

Of course, if you do that, you have to update the map when you modify the array, which could become a maintenance problem.

But if you're not in control of the generation of the object, or updating the map of ids-to-indexes is too much code and/ora maintenance issue, then you'll have to do a brute force search.

Brute Force Search (corrected)

Somewhat OT (although you did ask if there was a better way :-) ), but your code for looping through an array is incorrect. Details here, but you can't use for..in to loop through array indexes (or rather, if you do, you have to take special pains to do so); for..in loops through the properties of an object, not the indexes of an array. Your best bet with a non-sparse array (and yours is non-sparse) is a standard old-fashioned loop:

Whichever you prefer (the latter is not always faster in all implementations, which is counter-intuitive to me, but there we are). (With a sparse array, you might use for..in but again taking special pains to avoid pitfalls; more in the article linked above.)

Using for..in on an array seems to work in simple cases because arrays have properties for each of their indexes, and their only other default properties (length and their methods) are marked as non-enumerable. But it breaks as soon as you set (or a framework sets) any other properties on the array object (which is perfectly valid; arrays are just objects with a bit of special handling around the length property).

The POST/GET with 204 seems fine in the first sight and will also work.

Documentation says, 2xx -- This class of status codes indicates the action requested by the client was received, understood, accepted, and processed successfully. whereas 4xx -- The 4xx class of status code is intended for situations in which the client seems to have erred.

Since, the request was successfully received, understood and processed on server. The result was that the resource was not found. So, in this case this was not an error on the client side or the client has not erred.

Hence this should be a series 2xx code and not 4xx. Sending 204 (No Content) in this case will be better than a 404 or 410 response.

The variable strDateTime will hold the date/time in the format you desire and you should be able to tweak it pretty easily if you need.

I'm using join as good practice, nothing more, it's better than adding strings together.

You cannot load images directly with @2x or @3x, system selects appropriate image automatically, just specify the name using UIImage:

The document.ready event occurs when the HTML document has been loaded, and the window.onload event occurs always later, when all content (images, etc) has been loaded.

You can use the document.ready event if you want to intervene "early" in the rendering process, without waiting for the images to load. If you need the images (or any other "content") ready before your script "does something", you need to wait until window.onload.

For instance, if you are implementing a "Slide Show" pattern, and you need to perform calculations based on image sizes, you may want to wait until window.onload. Otherwise, you might experience some random problems, depending on how fast the images will get loaded. Your script would be running concurrently with the thread that loads images. If your script is long enough, or the server is fast enough, you may not notice a problem, if images happen to arrive in time. But the safest practice would be allowing for images to get loaded.

document.ready could be a nice event for you to show some "loading..." sign to users, and upon window.onload, you can complete any scripting that needed resources loaded, and then finally remove the "Loading..." sign.

Perhaps you installed the latest Android Studio 2.3.1, it changed command android list targets to avdmanager list targets, so there is how to fix it:

The statement should be of the order

1. Alter statement for the table
2. GO
3. Select statement.

Without 'GO' in between, the whole thing will be considered as one single script and when the select statement looks for the column,it won't be found.

With 'GO' , it will consider the part of the script up to 'GO' as one single batch and will execute before getting into the query after 'GO'.

Depending on how large and how well-written the original code was, it might be worth starting again in your favourite language (which might still be C++) and learning from any mistakes made in the last version. Didn't someone once say about writing one to throw away?

The choice of one or another depends on what you intend to do. From what I do understand:

• jsonify would be useful when you are building an API someone would query and expect json in return. E.g: The REST github API could use this method to answer your request.

• dumps, is more about formating data/python object into json and work on it inside your application. For instance, I need to pass an object to my representation layer where some javascript will display graph. You'll feed javascript with the Json generated by dumps.

This is not possible directly, because chronologically, WHERE happens before SELECT, which always is the last step in the execution chain.

In the AWS console, if you navigate to S3, you will see your folders listed. If you navigate to the folder, you will see the object (s) listed. right click and you can rename. OR, you can check the box in front of your object, then from the pull down menu named ACTIONS, you can select rename. Just worked for me, 3-31-2019

If your $string is always consistent (ie. the domain name is always at the end of the string), you can use explode() with end(), and then use in_array() to check for a match (as pointed out by @Anand Solanki in their answer).

If not, you'd be better off using a regular expression to extract the domain from the string, and then use in_array() to check for a match.

Another alternative to use the exact json within javascript. As it is Javascript Object Notation you can just create your object directly with the json notation. If you store this in a .js file you can use the object in your application. This was a useful option for me when I had some static json data that I wanted to cache in a file separately from the rest of my app.
