Here's a trick I recently worked out for executing raw sql with binds:
binds = SomeRecord.bind(a_string_field: value1, a_date_field: value2) +
SomeOtherRecord.bind(a_numeric_field: value3)
SomeRecord.connection.exec_query <<~SQL, nil, binds
SELECT *
FROM some_records
JOIN some_other_records ON some_other_records.record_id = some_records.id
WHERE some_records.a_string_field = $1
AND some_records.a_date_field < $2
AND some_other_records.a_numeric_field > $3
SQL
where ApplicationRecord
defines this:
# Convenient way of building custom sql binds
def self.bind(column_values)
column_values.map do |column_name, value|
[column_for_attribute(column_name), value]
end
end
and that is similar to how AR binds its own queries.
There are two obvious choices: Joshua Ulrich's df[,c("A","B","E")]
or
df[,c(1,2,5)]
as in
> df <- data.frame(A=c(1,2),B=c(3,4),C=c(5,6),D=c(7,7),E=c(8,8),F=c(9,9))
> df
A B C D E F
1 1 3 5 7 8 9
2 2 4 6 7 8 9
> df[,c(1,2,5)]
A B E
1 1 3 8
2 2 4 8
> df[,c("A","B","E")]
A B E
1 1 3 8
2 2 4 8
As you point 499
a connection abortion logged by the nginx. But usually this is produced when your backend server is being too slow, and another proxy timeouts first or the user software aborts the connection. So check if uWSGI is answering fast or not of if there is any load on uWSGI / Database server.
In many cases there are some other proxies between the user and nginx. Some can be in your infrastructure like maybe a CDN, Load Balacer, a Varnish cache etc. Others can be in user side like a caching proxy etc.
If there are proxies on your side like a LoadBalancer / CDN ... you should set the timeouts to timeout first your backend and progressively the other proxies to the user.
If you have:
user >>> CDN >>> Load Balancer >>> Nginx >>> uWSGI
I'll recommend you to set:
n
seconds to uWSGI timeoutn+1
seconds to nginx timeoutn+2
senconds to timeout to Load Balancern+3
seconds of timeout to the CDN.If you can't set some of the timeouts (like CDN) find whats is its timeout and adjust the others according to it (n
, n-1
...).
This provides a correct chain of timeouts. and you'll find really whose giving the timeout and return the right response code to the user.
just a note: CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH
and C_INCLUDE_PATH
are not the equivalent of LD_LIBRARY_PATH
.
LD_LIBRARY_PATH
serves the ld
(the dynamic linker at runtime) whereas the equivalent of the former two that serves your C/C++ compiler with the location of libraries is LIBRARY_PATH
.
If you use Gradle:
-Pspring.profiles.active=local
You can use:
set content=
for /f "delims=" %%i in ('type text.txt') do set content=!content! %%i
You can use parseInt(jQuery.offset().top)
to always use the Integer (primitive - int
) value across all browsers.
What I did is first check what are the running processes by
SELECT * FROM pg_stat_activity WHERE state = 'active';
Find the process you want to kill, then type:
SELECT pg_cancel_backend(<pid of the process>)
This basically "starts" a request to terminate gracefully, which may be satisfied after some time, though the query comes back immediately.
If the process cannot be killed, try:
SELECT pg_terminate_backend(<pid of the process>)
While drive allows you to edit plain text and HTML files I don't believe they allow the HTML to actually be displayed. I don't think they want people hosting websites from their drive space.
Try this:
double result = Math.Round(24.576938593,2);
MessageBox.Show(result.ToString());
Output: 24.57
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException means CLASSPATH issues. Not having a clue implies that you're assuming that the CLASSPATH is set properly, but it's not.
If you're building with Eclipse, make sure that the directory where your compiled .class files exists, is in the CLASSPATH, and has the necessary .class files in it.
If you're building with Ant, make sure you see something like this in your build.xml:
<path id="production.class.path">
<pathelement location="${production.classes}"/>
<pathelement location="${production.resources}"/>
<fileset dir="${production.lib}">
<include name="**/*.jar"/>
<exclude name="**/junit*.jar"/>
<exclude name="**/*test*.jar"/>
</fileset>
</path>
UPDATE: Either you don't have JAVA_HOME/bin in your PATH or you downloaded the JRE instead of the JDK. Check the directory where you installed Java and see if your /bin directory has javac.exe in it. If you don't have a /bin, download the JDK and install it.
If you do have a /bin with javac.exe in it, check your PATH to see that the Java /bin directory is in the PATH. Once you've set it, open a command shell and type "javac -version" to ensure that all is well.
What JDK did you tell Eclipse to use?
Yes, open a postscript()
device with a filename ending in .eps
, do your plot(s) and call dev.off()
.
Instead:
public class PhotosFragment extends Fragment
You can use:
public class PhotosFragment extends ListFragment
It change the methods
@Override
public void onActivityCreated(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onActivityCreated(savedInstanceState);
ArrayList<ListviewContactItem> listContact = GetlistContact();
setAdapter(new ListviewContactAdapter(getActivity(), listContact));
}
onActivityCreated is void and you didn't need to return a view like in onCreateView
You can see an example here
For me the most elegant solution is this one:
XMLGregorianCalendar result = DatatypeFactory.newInstance()
.newXMLGregorianCalendar("2014-01-07");
Using Java 8.
Extended example:
XMLGregorianCalendar result = DatatypeFactory.newInstance()
.newXMLGregorianCalendar("2014-01-07");
System.out.println(result.getDay());
System.out.println(result.getMonth());
System.out.println(result.getYear());
This prints out:
7
1
2014
Join on one-to-many relation in JPQL looks as follows:
select b.fname, b.lname from Users b JOIN b.groups c where c.groupName = :groupName
When several properties are specified in select
clause, result is returned as Object[]
:
Object[] temp = (Object[]) em.createNamedQuery("...")
.setParameter("groupName", groupName)
.getSingleResult();
String fname = (String) temp[0];
String lname = (String) temp[1];
By the way, why your entities are named in plural form, it's confusing. If you want to have table names in plural, you may use @Table
to specify the table name for the entity explicitly, so it doesn't interfere with reserved words:
@Entity @Table(name = "Users")
public class User implements Serializable { ... }
This worked for me, the key is you need a separate thread to analyze the socket state with polling. doing it in the same thread as the socket fails detection.
//open or receive a server socket - TODO your code here
socket = new Socket(....);
//enable the keep alive so we can detect closure
socket.SetSocketOption(SocketOptionLevel.Socket, SocketOptionName.KeepAlive, true);
//create a thread that checks every 5 seconds if the socket is still connected. TODO add your thread starting code
void MonitorSocketsForClosureWorker() {
DateTime nextCheckTime = DateTime.Now.AddSeconds(5);
while (!exitSystem) {
if (nextCheckTime < DateTime.Now) {
try {
if (socket!=null) {
if(socket.Poll(5000, SelectMode.SelectRead) && socket.Available == 0) {
//socket not connected, close it if it's still running
socket.Close();
socket = null;
} else {
//socket still connected
}
}
} catch {
socket.Close();
} finally {
nextCheckTime = DateTime.Now.AddSeconds(5);
}
}
Thread.Sleep(1000);
}
}
For ASP.Net, it doesn't work. I found a better covered solution at Why AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory not contains "bin" in asp.net app?. It works for both Win Application and ASP.Net Web Application.
public string ApplicationPath
{
get
{
if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.RelativeSearchPath))
{
return AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory; //exe folder for WinForms, Consoles, Windows Services
}
else
{
return AppDomain.CurrentDomain.RelativeSearchPath; //bin folder for Web Apps
}
}
}
html {
overflow-y: scroll;
}
Is that what you want?
Unfortunately, Opera 9.64 seems to ignore that CSS declaration when applied to HTML
or BODY
, although it works for other block-level elements like DIV
.

According to Ruskins answer and the comments here I came up with the following (recursive) solution:
public static T GetParentOfType<T>(this Control control) where T : class
{
if (control?.Parent == null)
return null;
if (control.Parent is T parent)
return parent;
return GetParentOfType<T>(control.Parent);
}
To plot an equation that is not solved for a specific variable (like circle or hyperbola):
import numpy as np
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
plt.figure() # Create a new figure window
xlist = np.linspace(-2.0, 2.0, 100) # Create 1-D arrays for x,y dimensions
ylist = np.linspace(-2.0, 2.0, 100)
X,Y = np.meshgrid(xlist, ylist) # Create 2-D grid xlist,ylist values
F = X**2 + Y**2 - 1 # 'Circle Equation
plt.contour(X, Y, F, [0], colors = 'k', linestyles = 'solid')
plt.show()

I think I got it at last by doing some manual transformations with the data before visualization:
d <- diamonds
# computing logarithm of prices
d$price <- log10(d$price)
And work out a formatter to later compute 'back' the logarithmic data:
formatBack <- function(x) 10^x
# or with special formatter (here: "dollar")
formatBack <- function(x) paste(round(10^x, 2), "$", sep=' ')
And draw the plot with given formatter:
m <- ggplot(d, aes(y = price, x = color))
m + geom_boxplot() + scale_y_continuous(formatter='formatBack')
Sorry to the community to bother you with a question I could have solved before! The funny part is: I was working hard to make this plot work a month ago but did not succeed. After asking here, I got it.
Anyway, thanks to @DWin for motivation!

<?php
$url = 'your repository here';
$output = `svn info $url`;
echo "<pre>$output</pre>";
?>
You can get the output in XML like so:
$output = `svn info $url --xml`;
If there is an error then the output will be directed to stderr. To capture stderr in your output use thusly:
$output = `svn info $url 2>&1`;
You can also define an environment variable that is visible only within Eclipse.
Go to Run -> Run Configurations... and Select tab "Environment".
There you can add several environment variables that will be specific to your application.
You need to create a new personalized layout for your spinner items, like this, I will name it:
spinner_item.xml:
<TextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:id="@android:id/text1"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:textSize="20sp"
android:textColor="#ff0000" />
Then on your spinner declaration, you need to make your spinner use the new layout in the adapter:
ArrayAdapter adapter = ArrayAdapter.createFromResource(this,
R.layout.spinner_item, YOUR_SPINNER_CONTENT);
spinner.setAdapter(adapter);
To personalize elements from the dropdown list, you need to create another layout, I will name it spinner_dropdown_item.xml:
<CheckedTextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:id="@android:id/text1"
style="?android:attr/spinnerDropDownItemStyle"
android:singleLine="true"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:ellipsize="marquee"
android:textColor="#aa66cc"/>
and then on the adapter:
ArrayAdapter adapter = ArrayAdapter.createFromResource(this,
R.layout.spinner_item, YOUR_SPINNER_CONTENT);
adapter.setDropDownViewResource(R.layout.spinner_dropdown_item);
spinner.setAdapter(adapter);
The future is here! The proposals are closer to completion, no more ActiveX or flash or java. Now we can use:
You could use the Drag/Drop to get the file into the browser, or a simple upload control. Once the user has selected a file, you can read it w/ Javascript: http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/file/dndfiles/
For people coming from Google, this question is not about data attributes - OP added a non-standard attribute to their HTML object, and wondered how to set it.
However, you should not add custom attributes to your properties - you should use data attributes - e.g. OP should have used data-icon
, data-url
, data-target
, etc.
In any event, it turns out that the way you set these attributes via JavaScript is the same for both cases. Use:
ele.setAttribute(attributeName, value);
to change the given attribute attributeName
to value
for the DOM element ele
.
For example:
document.getElementById("someElement").setAttribute("data-id", 2);
Note that you can also use .dataset
to set the values of data attributes, but as @racemic points out, it is 62% slower (at least in Chrome on macOS at the time of writing). So I would recommend using the setAttribute
method instead.
An easy way to overcome this problem is to use 64 bit type
list = numpy.array(list, dtype=numpy.float64)
Check out CUDA by NVidia, IMO it's the easiest platform to do GPU programming. There are tons of cool materials to read.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_home.html
Hello world would be to do any kind of calculation using GPU.
Hope that helps.
I've started using LinqPad. In addition to being more lightweight than SSMS, you can also practice writing LINQ queries- way more fun than boring old TSQL!
I cannot claim to be very knowledgeable on this but I had the same problem and have resolved it.
There is a 7th way to resolve this, by using an async function.
Write your function but add the prefix async.
By doing this Gulp wraps the function in a promise, and the task will run without errors.
Example:
async function() {
// do something
};

The use of a Statement in JDBC should be 100% localized to being used for DDL (ALTER, CREATE, GRANT, etc) as these are the only statement types that cannot accept BIND VARIABLES. PreparedStatements or CallableStatements should be used for EVERY OTHER type of statement (DML, Queries). As these are the statement types that accept bind variables.
This is a fact, a rule, a law -- use prepared statements EVERYWHERE. Use STATEMENTS almost no where.
The filter function wasn't working for me at all; maybe the more recent version of jquery doesn't perform as the version used in above code. Regardless; I used:
var black = $('.black');
var white = $('.white');
The selector will find every element classed under black or white. Button functions stay as stated above:
$('#showBlackButton').click(function() {
black.show();
white.hide();
});
$('#showWhiteButton').click(function() {
white.show();
black.hide();
});
This might be because the browser cannot access a file. I stumbled with this type of error when creating application with node.js. You can try to directly request the script file (copying and pasting url) and see if you can retrieve it. You can see then what the real problem is. It can be because of permission of folder in which the file is located, or browser just cannot find it due to incorrect path to it. In node.js, after specifying route to file, all works.
I've written down this macro
#define IS_EMPTY_STR(X) ( (1 / (sizeof(X[0]) == 1))/*type check*/ && !(X[0])/*content check*/)
so it would be
while (! IS_EMPTY_STR(url));
The benefit in this macro it that it's type-safe. You'll get a compilation error if put in something other than a pointer to char.
mod_log_forensic is what you want, but it may not be included/available with your Apache install by default.
Here is how to use it.
LoadModule log_forensic_module /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/mod_log_forensic.so
<IfModule log_forensic_module>
ForensicLog /var/log/httpd/forensic_log
</IfModule>

This comes down to browser image support; it looks like the only mainstream browser that supports tiff is Safari:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_browsers#Image_format_support
Where are you getting the tiff images from? Is it possible for them to be generated in a different format?
If you have a static set of images then I'd recommend using something like PaintShop Pro to batch convert them, changing the format.
If this isn't an option then there might be some mileage in looking for a pre-written Java applet (or another browser plugin) that can display the images in the browser.
echo "12|23|11" | awk '{split($0,a,"|"); print a[3] a[2] a[1]}'
Drupal 8
Drupal 8 does not include JS-libraries to pages automaticly. So most probably if you meet this error you need to attach 'core/jquery.form' library to your page (or form). Add something like this to your render array:
$form['#attached']['library'][] = 'core/jquery.form';
I have some issues to setup it in a Vagrant machine. Whats really works for me was execute a:
chmod -R o+w app/storage/
from inside the Vagrant machine.

The above answer only deal with DOM parser (that normally reads the entire file in memory and parse it, what for a big file is a problem), you could use a SAX parser that uses less memory and is faster (anyway that depends on your code).
SAX parser callback some functions when it find a start of element, end of element, attribute, text between elements, etc, so it can parse the document and at the same time you get what you need.
Some example code:
http://www.mkyong.com/java/how-to-read-xml-file-in-java-sax-parser/
Backout restores or undoes our changes. The way it does this is that, P4 undoes the changes in a changelist (default or new) on our local workspace. We then have to submit/commit this backedout changelist as we do other changeslists. The second part is important here, as it doesn't automatically backout the changelist on the server, we have to submit the backedout changelist (which makes sense after you do it, but i was initially assuming it does that automatically).
As pointed by others, Rollback has greater powers - It can restore changes to a specific date, changelist or a revision#
Just include the path to the view, with the file extension.
Razor:
@Html.Partial("~/Views/AnotherFolder/Messages.cshtml", ViewData.Model.Successes)
ASP.NET engine:
<% Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/AnotherFolder/Messages.ascx", ViewData.Model.Successes); %>
If that isn't your issue, could you please include your code that used to work with the RenderUserControl?
You can use set operations on the keys:
diff = set(dictb.keys()) - set(dicta.keys())
Here is a class to find all the possibilities: what was added, what was removed, which key-value pairs are the same, and which key-value pairs are changed.
class DictDiffer(object):
"""
Calculate the difference between two dictionaries as:
(1) items added
(2) items removed
(3) keys same in both but changed values
(4) keys same in both and unchanged values
"""
def __init__(self, current_dict, past_dict):
self.current_dict, self.past_dict = current_dict, past_dict
self.set_current, self.set_past = set(current_dict.keys()), set(past_dict.keys())
self.intersect = self.set_current.intersection(self.set_past)
def added(self):
return self.set_current - self.intersect
def removed(self):
return self.set_past - self.intersect
def changed(self):
return set(o for o in self.intersect if self.past_dict[o] != self.current_dict[o])
def unchanged(self):
return set(o for o in self.intersect if self.past_dict[o] == self.current_dict[o])
Here is some sample output:
>>> a = {'a': 1, 'b': 1, 'c': 0}
>>> b = {'a': 1, 'b': 2, 'd': 0}
>>> d = DictDiffer(b, a)
>>> print "Added:", d.added()
Added: set(['d'])
>>> print "Removed:", d.removed()
Removed: set(['c'])
>>> print "Changed:", d.changed()
Changed: set(['b'])
>>> print "Unchanged:", d.unchanged()
Unchanged: set(['a'])

First of all, all the reasons are subjective. It's more like a matter of taste rather than a reason.
Personally, I find heredoc quite useless and use it occasionally, most of the time when I need to get some HTML into a variable and don't want to bother with output buffering, to form an HTML email message for example.
Formatting doesn't fit general indentation rules, but I don't think it's a big deal.
//some code at it's proper level
$this->body = <<<HERE
heredoc text sticks to the left border
but it seems OK to me.
HERE;
$this->title = "Feedback";
//and so on
As for the examples in the accepted answer, it is merely cheating.
String examples, in fact, being more concise if one won't cheat on them
$sql = "SELECT * FROM $tablename
WHERE id in [$order_ids_list]
AND product_name = 'widgets'";
$x = 'The point of the "argument" was to illustrate the use of here documents';
Try like this:
$data = array('current_login' => date('Y-m-d H:i:s'));
$this->db->set('last_login', 'current_login', false);
$this->db->where('id', 'some_id');
$this->db->update('login_table', $data);
Pay particular attention to the set()
call's 3rd parameter. false
prevents CodeIgniter from quoting the 2nd parameter -- this allows the value to be treated as a table column and not a string value. For any data that doesn't need to special treatment, you can lump all of those declarations into the $data
array.
The query generated by above code:
UPDATE `login_table`
SET last_login = current_login, `current_login` = '2018-01-18 15:24:13'
WHERE `id` = 'some_id'
(a) Django is a framework, not a language
(b) I'm not sure what you're missing - there is no reason why you can't have business logic in a web application. In Django, you would normally expect presentation logic to be separated from business logic. Just because it is hosted in the same application server, it doesn't follow that the two layers are entangled.
(c) Django does provide templating, but it doesn't provide rich libraries for generating client-side content.
Similarly, after installing Mavericks bundle update
was throwing an error on the pg gem, which is only used on production and not locally.
I use Brew to manage my packages and postgresql was already installed, but still I was getting the 'no pg_config' error.
The fix was to just brew uninstall postgresql
, then brew install postgresql
. After which I was immediately able to successfully run bundle update
.
If you want to use Linq then you can use the following snippet:
var listNumber = dicNumber.Keys.ToList();
Use:
<Text>{`Hi,\nCurtis!`}</Text>
Result:
Hi,
Curtis!
if you need to add a date-time to your backup file name (Centos7) use the following:
/usr/bin/mysqldump -u USER -pPASSWD DBNAME | gzip > ~/backups/db.$(date +%F.%H%M%S).sql.gz
this will create the file: db.2017-11-17.231537.sql.gz
Or do a non-recursive checkout of /trunk, then just do a manual update on the 3 directories you need.

Just put end_loop at very end of loop of course. The null can be substituted with a commit maybe or a counter increment maybe, up to you.
You have a typo.

If you have a std::wstring object, you can call c_str()
on it to get a wchar_t*
:
std::wstring name( L"Steve Nash" );
const wchar_t* szName = name.c_str();
Since you are operating on a narrow string, however, you would first need to widen it. There are various options here; one is to use Windows' built-in MultiByteToWideChar
routine. That will give you an LPWSTR
, which is equivalent to wchar_t*
.
Try this:
function getYesterdaysDate() {
var date = new Date();
date.setDate(date.getDate()-1);
return date.getDate() + '/' + (date.getMonth()+1) + '/' + date.getFullYear();
}
void NumericTextBoxInput(object sender, TextCompositionEventArgs e)
{
TextBox txt = (TextBox)sender;
var regex = new Regex(@"^[0-9]*(?:\.[0-9]{0,1})?$");
string str = txt.Text + e.Text.ToString();
int cntPrc = 0;
if (str.Contains('.'))
{
string[] tokens = str.Split('.');
if (tokens.Count() > 0)
{
string result = tokens[1];
char[] prc = result.ToCharArray();
cntPrc = prc.Count();
}
}
if (regex.IsMatch(e.Text) && !(e.Text == "." && ((TextBox)sender).Text.Contains(e.Text)) && (cntPrc < 3))
{
e.Handled = false;
}
else
{
e.Handled = true;
}
}
If you do not want to allow user to enter text TextView
is the best option here. Any how you can also add EditText
for this purpose. here is a sample code for that.
This would automatically show scrollbar if there is more text than the specified lines.
<EditText
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:inputType="textMultiLine"
android:lines="8"
android:maxLines="10"
android:minLines="6"
android:scrollbars="vertical" />
Edit: Adding attributes below to textView
would make it a textArea
that would not be editable.
android:lines="8"
android:maxLines="10"
android:minLines="6" // optional
$sql = "SELECT * FROM table_name ORDER BY ID DESC LIMIT 1";
$records = mysql_query($sql);
you can change LIMIT 1 to LIMIT any number you want
This will show you the last INSERTED row first.
I want to add to the accepted solution another good way to go through all the changes, when you either don't have gitk available or no X for output.
git fsck --no-reflog | awk '/dangling commit/ {print $3}' > tmp_commits
for h in `cat tmp_commits`; do git show $h | less; done
Then you get all the diffs for those hashes displayed one after another. Press 'q' to get to the next diff.
in KotlinDSL you can use like this :
flavorDimensions ("PlaceApp")
productFlavors {
create("tapsi") {
setDimension("PlaceApp")
buildConfigField("String", "API_BASE_URL", "https://xxx/x/x/")
}
}
You are not specifying a language or framework, but the following header is used for file downloads:
"Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=abc.csv"
If you are passing data to a DOM element from the server, you should set the data on the element:
<a id="foo" data-foo="bar" href="#">foo!</a>
The data can then be accessed using .data()
in jQuery:
console.log( $('#foo').data('foo') );
//outputs "bar"
However when you store data on a DOM node in jQuery using data, the variables are stored on the node object. This is to accommodate complex objects and references as storing the data on the node element as an attribute will only accommodate string values.
Continuing my example from above:$('#foo').data('foo', 'baz');
console.log( $('#foo').attr('data-foo') );
//outputs "bar" as the attribute was never changed
console.log( $('#foo').data('foo') );
//outputs "baz" as the value has been updated on the object
Also, the naming convention for data attributes has a bit of a hidden "gotcha":
HTML:<a id="bar" data-foo-bar-baz="fizz-buzz" href="#">fizz buzz!</a>
JS:
console.log( $('#bar').data('fooBarBaz') );
//outputs "fizz-buzz" as hyphens are automatically camelCase'd
The hyphenated key will still work:
HTML:<a id="bar" data-foo-bar-baz="fizz-buzz" href="#">fizz buzz!</a>
JS:
console.log( $('#bar').data('foo-bar-baz') );
//still outputs "fizz-buzz"
However the object returned by .data()
will not have the hyphenated key set:
$('#bar').data().fooBarBaz; //works
$('#bar').data()['fooBarBaz']; //works
$('#bar').data()['foo-bar-baz']; //does not work
It's for this reason I suggest avoiding the hyphenated key in javascript.
For HTML, keep using the hyphenated form. HTML attributes are supposed to get ASCII-lowercased automatically, so <div data-foobar></div>
, <DIV DATA-FOOBAR></DIV>
, and <dIv DaTa-FoObAr></DiV>
are supposed to be treated as identical, but for the best compatibility the lower case form should be preferred.
The .data()
method will also perform some basic auto-casting if the value matches a recognized pattern:
<a id="foo"
href="#"
data-str="bar"
data-bool="true"
data-num="15"
data-json='{"fizz":["buzz"]}'>foo!</a>
JS:
$('#foo').data('str'); //`"bar"`
$('#foo').data('bool'); //`true`
$('#foo').data('num'); //`15`
$('#foo').data('json'); //`{fizz:['buzz']}`
This auto-casting ability is very convenient for instantiating widgets & plugins:
$('.widget').each(function () {
$(this).widget($(this).data());
//-or-
$(this).widget($(this).data('widget'));
});
If you absolutely must have the original value as a string, then you'll need to use .attr()
:
<a id="foo" href="#" data-color="ABC123"></a>
<a id="bar" href="#" data-color="654321"></a>
JS:
$('#foo').data('color').length; //6
$('#bar').data('color').length; //undefined, length isn't a property of numbers
$('#foo').attr('data-color').length; //6
$('#bar').attr('data-color').length; //6
This was a contrived example. For storing color values, I used to use numeric hex notation (i.e. 0xABC123), but it's worth noting that hex was parsed incorrectly in jQuery versions before 1.7.2, and is no longer parsed into a Number
as of jQuery 1.8 rc 1.
jQuery 1.8 rc 1 changed the behavior of auto-casting. Before, any format that was a valid representation of a Number
would be cast to Number
. Now, values that are numeric are only auto-cast if their representation stays the same. This is best illustrated with an example.
<a id="foo"
href="#"
data-int="1000"
data-decimal="1000.00"
data-scientific="1e3"
data-hex="0x03e8">foo!</a>
JS:
// pre 1.8 post 1.8
$('#foo').data('int'); // 1000 1000
$('#foo').data('decimal'); // 1000 "1000.00"
$('#foo').data('scientific'); // 1000 "1e3"
$('#foo').data('hex'); // 1000 "0x03e8"
If you plan on using alternative numeric syntaxes to access numeric values, be sure to cast the value to a Number
first, such as with a unary +
operator.
+$('#foo').data('hex'); // 1000
I'm just wondering whether it is good practice to use multiple JFrames?
Bad (bad, bad) practice.
There are any number of ways of displaying many elements in one GUI, e.g.:
CardLayout
(short demo.). Good for:
JInternalFrame
/JDesktopPane
typically used for an MDI.JTabbedPane
for groups of components.JSplitPane
A way to display two components of which the importance between one or the other (the size) varies according to what the user is doing.JLayeredPane
far many well ..layered components.JToolBar
typically contains groups of actions or controls. Can be dragged around the GUI, or off it entirely according to user need. As mentioned above, will minimize/restore according to the parent doing so.JList
(simple example below).JTree
.But if those strategies do not work for a particular use-case, try the following. Establish a single main JFrame
, then have JDialog
or JOptionPane
instances appear for the rest of the free-floating elements, using the frame as the parent for the dialogs.
In this case where the multiple elements are images, it would be better to use either of the following instead:
JLabel
(centered in a scroll pane) to display whichever image the user is interested in at that moment. As seen in ImageViewer
.JList
. As seen in this answer. The 'single row' part of that only works if they are all the same dimensions. Alternately, if you are prepared to scale the images on the fly, and they are all the same aspect ratio (e.g. 4:3 or 16:9).The simple option is just to set the forms's AcceptButton to the button you want pressed (usually "OK" etc):
TextBox tb = new TextBox();
Button btn = new Button { Dock = DockStyle.Bottom };
btn.Click += delegate { Debug.WriteLine("Submit: " + tb.Text); };
Application.Run(new Form { AcceptButton = btn, Controls = { tb, btn } });
If this isn't an option, you can look at the KeyDown event etc, but that is more work...
TextBox tb = new TextBox();
Button btn = new Button { Dock = DockStyle.Bottom };
btn.Click += delegate { Debug.WriteLine("Submit: " + tb.Text); };
tb.KeyDown += (sender,args) => {
if (args.KeyCode == Keys.Return)
{
btn.PerformClick();
}
};
Application.Run(new Form { Controls = { tb, btn } });
<%-- if you want to select value from drop-downlist here is jsp code. --%>

In C++, unlike (say) Java, an instance of a nested class doesn't intrinsically belong to any instance of the enclosing class. So bar::getA
doesn't have any specific instance of foo
whose a
it can be returning. I'm guessing that what you want is something like:
class bar {
private:
foo * const owner;
public:
bar(foo & owner) : owner(&owner) { }
int getA() {return owner->a;}
};
But even for this you may have to make some changes, because in versions of C++ before C++11, unlike (again, say) Java, a nested class has no special access to its enclosing class, so it can't see the protected
member a
. This will depend on your compiler version. (Hat-tip to Ken Wayne VanderLinde for pointing out that C++11 has changed this.)
Use your developer's tool of choice and check if the tr
, td
or img
has any padding or margins.
What are you using when operate with CLOB?
In all events you can do it with PL/SQL
DECLARE
str varchar2(32767);
BEGIN
str := 'Very-very-...-very-very-very-very-very-very long string value';
update t1 set col1 = str;
END;

You can easily send the email with HTML content via PHP. Use the following script.
<?php
$to = '[email protected]';
$subject = "Send HTML Email Using PHP";
$htmlContent = '

I'd like to repost some comments from this thread, where you can read up on the issue and the issue was solved.
This is exactly Angular's issue. Current package.json requires fsevent as not optionalDependencies but devDependencies. This may be a problem for non-OSX users.
Sometimes
Even if you remove it from package.json npm i still fails because another module has it as a peer dep.
So
if npm-shrinkwrap.json is still there, please remove it or try npm i -f
I resolved this issue after deleting folder where I was trying to add the file in Visual Studio. Deleted folder from window explorer also. After doing all this, successfully able to add folder and file.
You mean you have a string of bytes in my_hex
which you want to print out as hex numbers, right? E.g., let's take your example:
>>> my_string = "deadbeef"
>>> my_hex = my_string.decode('hex') # python 2 only
>>> print my_hex
Þ ¾ ï
This construction only works on Python 2; but you could write the same string as a literal, in either Python 2 or Python 3, like this:
my_hex = "\xde\xad\xbe\xef"
So, to the answer. Here's one way to print the bytes as hex integers:
>>> print " ".join(hex(ord(n)) for n in my_hex)
0xde 0xad 0xbe 0xef
The comprehension breaks the string into bytes, ord()
converts each byte to the corresponding integer, and hex()
formats each integer in the from 0x##
. Then we add spaces in between.
Bonus: If you use this method with unicode strings (or Python 3 strings), the comprehension will give you unicode characters (not bytes), and you'll get the appropriate hex values even if they're larger than two digits.
In Python 3 it is more likely you'll want to do this with a byte string; in that case, the comprehension already returns ints, so you have to leave out the ord()
part and simply call hex()
on them:
>>> my_hex = b'\xde\xad\xbe\xef'
>>> print(" ".join(hex(n) for n in my_hex))
0xde 0xad 0xbe 0xef
As an alternative to BalusC answer as it has been deprecated and you have to use proxies, you can use this package. Code sample:
Map<String, String> parameter = new HashMap<>();
parameter.put("q", "Coffee");
parameter.put("location", "Portland");
GoogleSearchResults serp = new GoogleSearchResults(parameter);
JsonObject data = serp.getJson();
JsonArray results = (JsonArray) data.get("organic_results");
JsonObject first_result = results.get(0).getAsJsonObject();
System.out.println("first coffee: " + first_result.get("title").getAsString());
Library on GitHub
You could do that like this:
<script type="text/javascript">
function product(a,b)
{
return a*b;
}
document.getElementById('myvalue').value = product(a,b);
</script>
<input type="hidden" value="THE OUTPUT OF PRODUCT FUNCTION" id="myvalue">
That's a very complex question for a simple answer.
You may want to take a look at existing API frameworks, like Swagger Specification (OpenAPI), and services like apiary.io and apiblueprint.org.
Also, here's an example of the same REST API described, organized and even styled in three different ways. It may be a good start for you to learn from existing common ways.
At the very top level I think quality REST API docs require at least the following:
Also there are a lot of JSON/XML-based doc frameworks which can parse your API definition or schema and generate a convenient set of docs for you. But the choice for a doc generation system depends on your project, language, development environment and many other things.
You can use res.json() to jsonify any object. lean() will remove all the empty fields in the mongoose query.
UserModel.find().lean().exec(function (err, users) {
return res.json(users);
}

DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNext
End If
Hi, you need to put this in form activate, and have an id field named id...
this way it passes until it reaches the one without id (AKA new one)...
FORMAT()
is slower than CONVERT()
. This answer is slightly better than @jpx's answer because it only does a replace on the time part of the date.
112 = yyyymmdd - no format change needed
108 = hh:mm:ss - remove :
SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR, GETDATE(), 112) +
REPLACE(CONVERT(VARCHAR, GETDATE(), 108), ':', '')
None of the answers here removed my workspaces. But here is one solution that may work for you.
class name:
def __init__(self, name):
self.name = name
print("name: "+name)
Somewhere else:
john = name("john")
Output:
name: john
layout.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.ready);
is correct.
Another way to achieve it is to use the following:
final int sdk = android.os.Build.VERSION.SDK_INT;
if(sdk < android.os.Build.VERSION_CODES.JELLY_BEAN) {
layout.setBackgroundDrawable(ContextCompat.getDrawable(context, R.drawable.ready) );
} else {
layout.setBackground(ContextCompat.getDrawable(context, R.drawable.ready));
}
But I think the problem occur because you are trying to load big images.
Here is a good tutorial how to load large bitmaps.
UPDATE:
getDrawable(int ) deprecated in API level 22
getDrawable(int )
is now deprecated in API level 22.
You should use the following code from the support library instead:
ContextCompat.getDrawable(context, R.drawable.ready)
If you refer to the source code of ContextCompat.getDrawable, it gives you something like this:
/**
* Return a drawable object associated with a particular resource ID.
* <p>
* Starting in {@link android.os.Build.VERSION_CODES#LOLLIPOP}, the returned
* drawable will be styled for the specified Context's theme.
*
* @param id The desired resource identifier, as generated by the aapt tool.
* This integer encodes the package, type, and resource entry.
* The value 0 is an invalid identifier.
* @return Drawable An object that can be used to draw this resource.
*/
public static final Drawable getDrawable(Context context, int id) {
final int version = Build.VERSION.SDK_INT;
if (version >= 21) {
return ContextCompatApi21.getDrawable(context, id);
} else {
return context.getResources().getDrawable(id);
}
}
More details on ContextCompat
As of API 22, you should use the getDrawable(int, Theme)
method instead of getDrawable(int).
UPDATE:
If you are using the support v4 library, the following will be enough for all versions.
ContextCompat.getDrawable(context, R.drawable.ready)
You will need to add the following in your app build.gradle
compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:23.0.0' # or any version above
Or using ResourceCompat, in any API like below:
import android.support.v4.content.res.ResourcesCompat;
ResourcesCompat.getDrawable(getResources(), R.drawable.name_of_drawable, null);
this will be more efficient:
public static class StringExtension
{
public static string clean(this string s)
{
return new StringBuilder(s)
.Replace("&", "and")
.Replace(",", "")
.Replace(" ", " ")
.Replace(" ", "-")
.Replace("'", "")
.Replace(".", "")
.Replace("eacute;", "é")
.ToString()
.ToLower();
}
}
I tried to use socket.io on AWS, I can at most keep around 600 connections stable.
And I found out it is because socket.io used long polling first and upgraded to websocket later.
after I set the config to use websocket only, I can keep around 9000 connections.
Set this config at client side:
const socket = require('socket.io-client')
const conn = socket(host, { upgrade: false, transports: ['websocket'] })
To export data to csv/excel from Kibana follow the following steps:-
Click on Visualize Tab & select a visualization (if created). If not created create a visualziation.
Click on caret symbol (^) which is present at the bottom of the visualization.
Then you will get an option of Export:Raw Formatted as the bottom of the page.
Please find below attached image showing Export option after clicking on caret symbol.
I think the simple answer to this question is that, if __new__
returns a value that is the same type as the class, the __init__
function executes, otherwise it won't. In this case your code returns A._dict('key')
which is the same class as cls
, so __init__
will be executed.
Using Postman for Chrome, selecting CODE you get this... And works

I am surprised that there's no concise answer yet, although such an expand/collapse animation is very easy to achieve with just 2 lines of code:
(recycler.itemAnimator as SimpleItemAnimator).supportsChangeAnimations = false // called once
together with
notifyItemChanged(position) // in adapter, whenever a child view in item's recycler gets hidden/shown
So for me, the explanations in the link below were really useful: https://medium.com/@nikola.jakshic/how-to-expand-collapse-items-in-recyclerview-49a648a403a6

As other posters already indicated; your system clock is probably not synchronized up to microseconds to actual world time. Nonetheless are microsecond precision timestamps useful as a hybrid for both indicating current wall time, and measuring/profiling the duration of things.
I label all events/messages written to a log files using timestamps like "2012-10-21 19:13:45.267128". These convey both when it happened ("wall" time), and can also be used to measure the duration between this and the next event in the log file (relative difference in microseconds).
To achieve this, you need to link System.currentTimeMillis() with System.nanoTime() and work exclusively with System.nanoTime() from that moment forward. Example code:
/**
* Class to generate timestamps with microsecond precision
* For example: MicroTimestamp.INSTANCE.get() = "2012-10-21 19:13:45.267128"
*/
public enum MicroTimestamp
{ INSTANCE ;
private long startDate ;
private long startNanoseconds ;
private SimpleDateFormat dateFormat ;
private MicroTimestamp()
{ this.startDate = System.currentTimeMillis() ;
this.startNanoseconds = System.nanoTime() ;
this.dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.SSS") ;
}
public String get()
{ long microSeconds = (System.nanoTime() - this.startNanoseconds) / 1000 ;
long date = this.startDate + (microSeconds/1000) ;
return this.dateFormat.format(date) + String.format("%03d", microSeconds % 1000) ;
}
}
I found out that my back-up project worked well if I precompile without bundle update
. Maybe something went wrong with gem updated but I don't know which gem has an error.
This is just a workaround solution:
In normal cases, use the solutions that are shipped with git. These work great in most cases. Force to LF if you share the development on Windows and Unix based systems by setting .gitattributes.
In my case there were >10 programmers developing a project in Windows. This project was checked in with CRLF and there was no option to force to LF.
Some settings were internally written on my machine without any influence on the LF format; thus some files were globally changed to LF on each small file change.
My solution:
Windows-Machines: Let everything as it is. Care about nothing, since you are a default windows 'lone wolf' developer and you have to handle like this: "There is no other system in the wide world, is it?"
Unix-Machines
Add following lines to a config's [alias]
section. This command lists all changed (i.e. modified/new) files:
lc = "!f() { git status --porcelain \
| egrep -r \"^(\?| ).\*\\(.[a-zA-Z])*\" \
| cut -c 4- ; }; f "
Convert all those changed files into dos format:
unix2dos $(git lc)
Optionally ...
Create a git hook for this action to automate this process
Use params and include it and modify the grep
function to match only particular filenames, e.g.:
... | egrep -r "^(\?| ).*\.(txt|conf)" | ...
Feel free to make it even more convenient by using an additional shortcut:
c2dos = "!f() { unix2dos $(git lc) ; }; f "
... and fire the converted stuff by typing
git c2dos

However since range() create a list of the values which is sequence thus you can directly use the name
for e in name:
print(e)
This also produces the same result and also looks better and works with any sequence like list, tuple, and dictionary.
We have used tow Built in Functions ( BIFs in Python Community )
1) range() - range() BIF is used to create indexes Example
for i in range ( 5 ) :
can produce 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 , 4
2) len() - len() BIF is used to find out the length of given string
I'd suggest using $_POST
and $_GET
explicitly.
Using $_REQUEST should be unnecessary with proper site design anyway, and it comes with some downsides like leaving you open to easier CSRF/XSS
attacks and other silliness that comes from storing data in the URL.
The speed difference should be minimal either way.
Adding this as an answer as it might help someone later.
I had to force jvm to use the IPv4 stack to resolve the error. My application used to work within company network, but while connecting from home it gave the same exception. No proxy involved. Added the jvm argument
-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
and all the https
requests were behaving normally.

Example for
http://api.example.org/data/2.5/forecast/daily?q=94043&mode=json&units=metric&cnt=7
Now with Kotlin
val myUrl = Uri.Builder().apply {
scheme("https")
authority("www.myawesomesite.com")
appendPath("turtles")
appendPath("types")
appendQueryParameter("type", "1")
appendQueryParameter("sort", "relevance")
fragment("section-name")
build()
}.toString()
This may be too late, but for other new blood on VB out there, here's something simple.
First, in any case, unless your application would require, blocking user's key entry is somehow not a good thing to do, users may misinterpret the action as problem on the hardware keyboard and at the same time may not see where their keypreesed entry error came from.
Here's a simple one, let user's freely type their entry then trap the error later:
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Dim theNumber As Integer
Dim theEntry As String = Trim(TextBox1.Text)
'This check if entry can be converted to
'numeric value from 0-10, if cannot return a negative value.
Try
theNumber = Convert.ToInt32(theEntry)
If theNumber < 0 Or theNumber > 10 Then theNumber = -1
Catch ex As Exception
theNumber = -1
End Try
'Trap for the valid and invalid numeric number
If theNumber < 0 Or theNumber > 10 Then
MsgBox("Invalid Entry, allows (0-10) only.")
'entry was invalid return cursor to entry box.
TextBox1.Focus()
Else
'Entry accepted:
' Continue process your thing here...
End If
End Sub
Take a look also to the do { ... }
command since gnuplot 4.6 as it is very powerful:
do for [t=0:50] {
outfile = sprintf('animation/bessel%03.0f.png',t)
set output outfile
splot u*sin(v),u*cos(v),bessel(u,t/50.0) w pm3d ls 1
}
First, select the element. You can usually use the ID like this:
$("#searchField"); // select element by using "#someid"
Then, to set the value, use .val("something")
as in:
$("#searchField").val("something"); // set the value
Note that you should only run this code when the element is available. The usual way to do this is:
$(document).ready(function() { // execute when everything is loaded
$("#searchField").val("something"); // set the value
});
A char can hold a single character only, a character literal is a single character in single quote, i.e. '&'
- if you have more characters than one you want to use a string, for that you have to use double quotes:
case "&&":
There are several usage / capabilities you might want to consider:
Require:
require
s, they are
loaded and processed one by one.ES6 Imports:
Also, the Require module system isn't standard based. It's is highly unlikely to become standard now that ES6 modules exist. In the future there will be native support for ES6 Modules in various implementations which will be advantageous in terms of performance.
This question has been asked at the Google I/O 2010, you can watch it here:
The world of ListView, time 52:30
Basically what Romain Guy explains is to call getChildAt(int)
on the ListView
to get the view and (I think) call getFirstVisiblePosition()
to find out the correlation between position and index.
Romain also points to the project called Shelves as an example, I think he might mean the method ShelvesActivity.updateBookCovers()
, but I can't find the call of getFirstVisiblePosition()
.
AWESOME UPDATES COMING:
The RecyclerView will fix this in the near future. As pointed out on http://www.grokkingandroid.com/first-glance-androids-recyclerview/, you will be able to call methods to exactly specify the change, such as:
void notifyItemInserted(int position)
void notifyItemRemoved(int position)
void notifyItemChanged(int position)
Also, everyone will want to use the new views based on RecyclerView because they will be rewarded with nicely-looking animations! The future looks awesome! :-)
Try git merge origin/master
. If you want to be sure that it only does a fast-forward, you can say git merge --ff-only origin/master
.
Just specifying HTTPS in the URI should do the trick.
httpClient.BaseAddress = new Uri("https://foobar.com/");
If the request works with HTTP but fails with HTTPS then this is most certainly a certificate issue. Make sure the caller trusts the certificate issuer and that the certificate is not expired. A quick and easy way to check that is to try making the query in a browser.
You also may want to check on the server (if it's yours and / or if you can) that it is set to serve HTTPS requests properly.
Here's a simple, one-line solution:
var limit = 10;
var amount = 3;
randoSequence(1, limit).slice(0, amount);
It uses randojs.com to generate a randomly shuffled array of integers from 1 through 10 and then cuts off everything after the third integer. If you want to use this answer, toss this within the head tag of your HTML document:
<script src="https://randojs.com/1.0.0.js"></script>
Always try to use InvariantCulture in those string methods that accept it as overload. By using InvariantCulture you are on a safe side. Many .NET programmers may not use this functionality but if your software will be used by different cultures, InvariantCulture is an extremely handy feature.
Also, especially if you are a developer, make sure that you are in fact connecting to the IIS server and not to the IIS Express that comes with Visual Studio. If you are debugging a project, it's just as easy if not easier sometimes to think you are connected to IIS when you in fact aren't.
Even if you've enabled Windows Authentication and disabled Anonymous Authentication on IIS, this won't make any difference to your Visual Studio simulation.
There is no need to call the garbage collector after an OutOfMemoryError
.
It's Javadoc clearly states:
Thrown when the Java Virtual Machine cannot allocate an object because it is out of memory, and no more memory could be made available by the garbage collector.
So, the garbage collector already tried to free up memory before generating the error but was unsuccessful.
Probably use jenkins command line is another option, see https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Jenkins+CLI
So you can do
java -jar jenkins-cli.jar -s http://server get-job myjob > myjob.xml
java -jar jenkins-cli.jar -s http://server create-job newmyjob < myjob.xml
It works fine for me and I am used to store in inside my version control system
Your path
is not within the assets folder. Either you enumerate files within the assets folder by means of AssetManager.list()
or you enumerate files on your SD card by means of File.list()
If you are using a library like markdown-it or PythonMarkdown this can also be solved by replacing two line breaks (in Regex /\n\n$/gm
) with a line break and an invisible character (\n
) before rendering. Note that the character after \n
is an Alt+0160 or an invisible character.
For example, using markdown-it (although it work for any other lib too) with the input:
1
2
3
4
5
Rendered with md.render(string.data.replace(/\n\n$/gm, "\n "))
you will get:
Use find
with a wildcard:
find . -name 'mystring*'
socket.gethostname()
could do
I think this is what you need:
At first you need to install sshpass
on your machine.
then you can write your own script:
while read pass port user ip; do
sshpass -p$pass ssh -p $port $user@$ip <<ENDSSH1
COMMAND 1
.
.
.
COMMAND n
ENDSSH1
done <<____HERE
PASS PORT USER IP

To set radio button checked in edit mode in MVC razor view, please trying as follow:
<div class="col-lg-11 col-md-11">
@Html.RadioButtonFor(m => m.Role, "1", Model.Role == 1 ? "checked" : string.Empty)
<span>Admin</span>
@Html.RadioButtonFor(m => m.Role, "0", Model.Role == 0 ? "checked" : string.Empty)
<span>User</span>
@Html.HiddenFor(m => m.Role)
</div>
Hope it help!
I found the best way for me was to download unzip then symlink your new usr/java/jre-version/bin/java
to your main bin as java.
I read a bunch of different entries till I finally found a solution that worked for my scenario (ASP.NET MVC4 project).
Instead of using the filename favicon.ico for my icon, I renamed it to something else, ie myIcon.ico. Then I just used exactly what Domi posted:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="myIcon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
And this worked!
It's not a caching issue because I tested this with Fiddler - a request for favicon never occurred, even if I cleared my cache "From the beginning of time". I believe it's just some odd bug with chrome?
Try @Cacheable
from jcabi-aspects. With a single annotation you make the entire method result cacheable in memory:
public class Resource {
@Cacheable(lifetime = 5, unit = TimeUnit.SECONDS)
public String load(URL url) {
return url.openConnection().getContent();
}
}
Also, read this article: http://www.yegor256.com/2014/08/03/cacheable-java-annotation.html
If using TextViews in tabs this selector definition worked for me (tried Klaus Balduino's but it did not):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<!-- Active tab -->
<item
android:state_selected="true"
android:state_focused="false"
android:state_pressed="false"
android:color="#000000" />
<!-- Inactive tab -->
<item
android:state_selected="false"
android:state_focused="false"
android:state_pressed="false"
android:color="#FFFFFF" />
</selector>
The directory where st.rb
lives is most likely not on your load path.
Assuming that st.rb
is located in a directory called lib
relative to where you invoke irb
, you can add that lib
directory to the list of directories that ruby uses to load classes or modules with this:
$: << 'lib'
For example, in order to call the module called 'foobar' (foobar.rb) that lives in the lib
directory, I would need to first add the lib
directory to the list of load path. Here, I am just appending the lib
directory to my load path:
irb(main):001:0> require 'foobar'
LoadError: no such file to load -- foobar
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `gem_original_require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from (irb):1
irb(main):002:0> $:
=> ["/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/spoon-0.0.1/lib", "/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/interactive_editor-0.0.10/lib", "/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8", "/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/i386-cygwin", "/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby", "/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8", "/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8/i386-cygwin", "/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby", "/usr/lib/ruby/1.8", "/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i386-cygwin", "."]
irb(main):004:0> $: << 'lib'
=> ["/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/spoon-0.0.1/lib", "/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/interactive_editor-0.0.10/lib", "/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8", "/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/i386-cygwin", "/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby", "/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8", "/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8/i386-cygwin", "/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby", "/usr/lib/ruby/1.8", "/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i386-cygwin", ".", "lib"]
irb(main):005:0> require 'foobar'
=> true
EDIT
Sorry, I completely missed the fact that you are using ruby 1.9.x. All accounts report that your current working directory has been removed from LOAD_PATH
for security reasons, so you will have to do something like in irb
:
$: << "."
Since inline events are executed as functions you can simply use arguments.
<p id="p" onclick="doSomething.apply(this, arguments)">
and
function doSomething(e) {
if (!e) e = window.event;
// 'e' is the event.
// 'this' is the P element
}
The 'event' that is mentioned in the accepted answer is actually the name of the argument passed to the function. It has nothing to do with the global event.

Change HH
to hh
as
long timeInMillis = System.currentTimeMillis();
Calendar cal1 = Calendar.getInstance();
cal1.setTimeInMillis(timeInMillis);
SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat(
"dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm:ss a");

Note that dd/mm/yyyy
- will give you minutes instead of the month.
FYI I did a little research as well and if the name of the font-family you want to apply contains spaces (as an example I take Gill Alt One MT Light), you should write it this way :
strbody= "<BODY style=" & Chr(34) & "font-family:Gill Alt One MT Light" & Chr(34) & ">" & YOUR_TEXT & "</BODY>"
If you start tinkering with VirtualBox network settings, watch out for this: you might make new network adapters (eth1, eth2), yet have your /etc/network/interfaces
still configured for eth0.
Diagnose:
ethtool -i eth0
Cannot get driver information: no such device
Find your interfaces:
ls /sys/class/net
eth1 eth2 lo
Fix it:
Edit /etc/networking/interfaces
and replace eth0 with the appropriate interface name (e.g eth1, eth2, etc.)
:%s/eth0/eth2/g
Atomic size is 4096 bytes, max size is 65536 bytes. Sendfile uses 16 pipes each of 4096 bytes size. cmd : ioctl(fd, FIONREAD, &buff_size).
I've started using static classes when I wish to use functions, rather than classes, as my unit of reuse. Previously, I was all about the evil of static classes. However, learning F# has made me see them in a new light.
What do I mean by this? Well, say when working up some super DRY code, I end up with a bunch of one-method classes. I may just pull these methods into a static class and then inject them into dependencies using a delegate. This also plays nicely with my dependency injection (DI) container of choice Autofac.
Of course taking a direct dependency on a static method is still usually evil (there are some non-evil uses).
If you have PHP & PHP-memcached installed, you can run
$ php -r '$c = new Memcached(); $c->addServer("localhost", 11211); var_dump( $c->getAllKeys() );'
If you are using SQL Azure Reporting Services, the "format" function is unsupported. This is really the only way to format a tooltip in a chart in SSRS. So the workaround is to return a column that has a string representation of the formatted number to use for the tooltip. So, I do agree that SQL is not the place for formatting. Except in cases like this where the tool does not have proper functions to handle display formatting.
In my case I needed to show a number formatted with commas and no decimals (type decimal 2) and ended up with this gem of a calculated column in my dataset query:
,Fmt_DDS=reverse(stuff(reverse(CONVERT(varchar(25),cast(SUM(kv.DeepDiveSavingsEst) as money),1)), 1, 3, ''))
It works, but is very ugly and non-obvious to whoever maintains the report down the road. Yay Cloud!
There are severals ways to communicate between activities, fragments, services etc. The obvious one is to communicate using interfaces. However, it is not a productive way to communicate. You have to implement the listeners etc.
My suggestion is to use an event bus. Event bus is a publish/subscribe pattern implementation.
You can subscribe to events in your activity and then you can post that events in your fragments etc.
Here on my blog post you can find more detail about this pattern and also an example project to show the usage.
Activity.runOnUiThread()
does not work for me. I worked around this issue by creating a regular thread this way:
public class PullTasksThread extends Thread {
public void run () {
Log.d(Prefs.TAG, "Thread run...");
}
}
and calling it from the GL update this way:
new PullTasksThread().start();
In my case, the image name defined in docker-compose.yml
contained uppercase letters. The fact that the error message mentioned repository
instead of image
did not help describe the problem and it took a while to figure out.
Had the same error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to instantiate activity (classnotfound) FIRST try to change the build platform (2.3.3 -> 2.2 -> 2.3.3) worked for me.
l=[[0]*(L) for _ in range(W)]
Will be faster than:
l = [[0 for x in range(L)] for y in range(W)]
Starting in v3.3 You can use updateMany
db.collection.updateMany(
<filter>,
<update>,
{
upsert: <boolean>,
writeConcern: <document>,
collation: <document>,
arrayFilters: [ <filterdocument1>, ... ]
}
)
In v2.2, the update function takes the following form:
db.collection.update(
<query>,
<update>,
{ upsert: <boolean>, multi: <boolean> }
)
https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/reference/method/db.collection.update/
I don't want to start a "What's the best unix command line under Windows" war, but have you thought of Cygwin? Git is in the Cygwin package repository.
And you get a lot of beneficial side-effects! (:-)
I Created this module to help make this process piece of cake
You can do things like:
$routeProvider
.state('secret',
{
...
permissions: {
only: ['admin', 'god']
}
});
Or also
$routeProvider
.state('userpanel',
{
...
permissions: {
except: ['not-logged-in']
}
});
It's brand new but worth checking out!
You could do this using ANSI escape sequences. I've actually put together this class in Java for anyone that would like a simple workaround for this. It allows for more than just color codes.
https://gist.github.com/nathan-fiscaletti/9dc252d30b51df7d710a
(Ported from: https://github.com/nathan-fiscaletti/ansi-util)
Example Use:
StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
System.out.println(
sb.raw("Hello, ")
.underline("John Doe")
.resetUnderline()
.raw(". ")
.raw("This is ")
.color16(StringBuilder.Color16.FG_RED, "red")
.raw(".")
);
Output from subprocess.call()
should only be redirected to files.
You should use subprocess.Popen()
instead. Then you can pass subprocess.PIPE
for the stderr, stdout, and/or stdin parameters and read from the pipes by using the communicate()
method:
from subprocess import Popen, PIPE
p = Popen(['program', 'arg1'], stdin=PIPE, stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE)
output, err = p.communicate(b"input data that is passed to subprocess' stdin")
rc = p.returncode
The reasoning is that the file-like object used by subprocess.call()
must have a real file descriptor, and thus implement the fileno()
method. Just using any file-like object won't do the trick.
See here for more info.
Three things you need to check.
upload_max_filesize
, memory_limit
and post_max_size
in the php.ini configuration file exactly.
All of these three settings limit the maximum size of data that can be submitted and handled by PHP.
Typically post_max_size
and memory_limit
need to be larger than upload_max_filesize
.
So three variables total you need to check to be absolutely sure.
As Tmdean correctly pointed out you can use the Mid()
function. The MSDN Library also has a great reference section on VBScript which you can find here:
As an addition to the all above mentioned great answers, check the https://crontab.guru/ - a useful online resource for checking your crontab syntax.
What you get is human readable representation of what you have specified.
See the examples below:
I had the same problem and it was due to the end of line. I had copied from another document. I put everythng on the same line, then split them again and it worked.
In my particular case, this error error was happening because the file which I've added wasn't referenced at .vcproj
file.
Another solution I ran across tonight, which worked for my needs, was to add box-sizing
attributes:
-webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
-moz-box-sizing: border-box;
box-sizing: border-box;
These attributes force the border to be part of the box model's width and height and correct the issue as well.
According to caniuse.com » box-sizing, box-sizing
is supported in IE8+.
If you're using LESS or Sass there is a Bootstrap mixin for this.
LESS:
.box-sizing(border-box);
Sass:
@include box-sizing(border-box);
Try,
apt-cache policy libgtk2.0-0 libgtk-3-0
or,
dpkg -l libgtk2.0-0 libgtk-3-0
You can also do something like this -
@RequestParam(value= "i", defaultValue = "20") Optional<Integer> i
This is the reason why mkv is such a good container, especially now that it's mature:
mkvmerge -o output.mkv video.mp4 subtitle.srt
Console.Read()
=> reads only one character from the standard input
Console.ReadLine()
=> reads all characters in the line from the standard input
Try this instead of your code:
var type=$("#the-span").attr("data-type");
alert(type);
You could write a directive for this, which simply assigns the (jqLite) element to the scope using an attribute-given name.
Here is the directive:
app.directive("ngScopeElement", function () {
var directiveDefinitionObject = {
restrict: "A",
compile: function compile(tElement, tAttrs, transclude) {
return {
pre: function preLink(scope, iElement, iAttrs, controller) {
scope[iAttrs.ngScopeElement] = iElement;
}
};
}
};
return directiveDefinitionObject;
});
Usage:
app.directive("myDirective", function() {
return {
template: '<div><ul ng-scope-element="list"><li ng-repeat="item in items"></ul></div>',
link: function(scope, element, attrs) {
scope.list[0] // scope.list is the jqlite element,
// scope.list[0] is the native dom element
}
}
});
Some remarks:
scope.list
from myDirective
s postLink-Function, which you are very likely using anywayngScopeElement
uses a preLink-function, so that directives nested within the element having ng-scope-element
can already access scope.list
If you have to iterate over the first len(a)
items of an object b
(that is larger than a
), you should probably use range(len(a))
:
for i in range(len(a)):
do_something_with(b[i])
I assume you want to link to a library called foo, its filename is usually something link foo.dll
or libfoo.so
.
1. Find the library
You have to find the library. This is a good idea, even if you know the path to your library. CMake will error out if the library vanished or got a new name. This helps to spot error early and to make it clear to the user (may yourself) what causes a problem.
To find a library foo and store the path in FOO_LIB
use
find_library(FOO_LIB foo)
CMake will figure out itself how the actual file name is. It checks the usual places like /usr/lib
, /usr/lib64
and the paths in PATH
.
You already know the location of your library. Add it to the CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH
when you call CMake, then CMake will look for your library in the passed paths, too.
Sometimes you need to add hints or path suffixes, see the documentation for details: https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/command/find_library.html
2. Link the library
From 1. you have the full library name in FOO_LIB
. You use this to link the library to your target GLBall
as in
target_link_libraries(GLBall PRIVATE "${FOO_LIB}")
You should add PRIVATE
, PUBLIC
, or INTERFACE
after the target, cf. the documentation:
https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/command/target_link_libraries.html
If you don't add one of these visibility specifiers, it will either behave like PRIVATE
or PUBLIC
, depending on the CMake version and the policies set.
3. Add includes (This step might be not mandatory.)
If you also want to include header files, use find_path
similar to find_library
and search for a header file. Then add the include directory with target_include_directories
similar to target_link_libraries
.
Documentation: https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/command/find_path.html and https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/command/target_include_directories.html
If available for the external software, you can replace find_library
and find_path
by find_package
.
I had same problem and solution was obj = ClassName.objects.filter()
Add a reference to System.Windows.Form.DataVisualization
, then add the appropriate using statement:
using System.Windows.Forms.DataVisualization.Charting;
private void CreateChart()
{
var series = new Series("Finance");
// Frist parameter is X-Axis and Second is Collection of Y- Axis
series.Points.DataBindXY(new[] { 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 }, new[] { 100, 200, 90, 150 });
chart1.Series.Add(series);
}
Thanks, Pablo, for referring to AutoHotkey utility. Since I have Launchy installed which uses Alt+Space I had to modify it a but to add Shift key as shown:
; Paste in command window
^V::
; Spanish menu (Editar->Pegar, I suppose English version is the same, Edit->Paste)
Send !+{Space}ep
return
Much easier method:
$ cat my_file
Ctrl+Shift+c to copy the required output from the terminal
Ctrl+Shift+v to paste it wherever you like
You can use this my library to do the job: https://github.com/Mikhus/jsurl
var url = new Url('site.fwx?position=1&archiveid=5000&columns=5&rows=20&sorting=ModifiedTimeAsc');
url.query.rows = 10;
alert( url);
One other option is to look at the system table sqlite_sequence
. Your sqlite database will have that table automatically if you created any table with autoincrement primary key. This table is for sqlite to keep track of the autoincrement field so that it won't repeat the primary key even after you delete some rows or after some insert failed (read more about this here http://www.sqlite.org/autoinc.html).
So with this table there is the added benefit that you can find out your newly inserted item's primary key even after you inserted something else (in other tables, of course!). After making sure that your insert is successful (otherwise you will get a false number), you simply need to do:
select seq from sqlite_sequence where name="table_name"
Less efficient, but simpler-looking:
m0 = re.match("I love (\w+)", statement)
m1 = re.match("Ich liebe (\w+)", statement)
m2 = re.match("Je t'aime (\w+)", statement)
if m0:
print "He loves",m0.group(1)
elif m1:
print "Er liebt",m1.group(1)
elif m2:
print "Il aime",m2.group(1)
The problem with the Perl stuff is the implicit updating of some hidden variable. That's simply hard to achieve in Python because you need to have an assignment statement to actually update any variables.
The version with less repetition (and better efficiency) is this:
pats = [
("I love (\w+)", "He Loves {0}" ),
("Ich liebe (\w+)", "Er Liebe {0}" ),
("Je t'aime (\w+)", "Il aime {0}")
]
for p1, p3 in pats:
m= re.match( p1, statement )
if m:
print p3.format( m.group(1) )
break
A minor variation that some Perl folk prefer:
pats = {
"I love (\w+)" : "He Loves {0}",
"Ich liebe (\w+)" : "Er Liebe {0}",
"Je t'aime (\w+)" : "Il aime {0}",
}
for p1 in pats:
m= re.match( p1, statement )
if m:
print pats[p1].format( m.group(1) )
break
This is hardly worth mentioning except it does come up sometimes from Perl programmers.
git stash pop
will get everything back in place
as suggested in the comments, you can use git stash branch newbranch
to apply the stash to a new branch, which is the same as running:
git checkout -b newbranch
git stash pop
Click on simulator , Navigate to Window and enable Device Bezels
To display dataframes contained in a list:
display(*dfs)
From Jest documentation
"scripts": {
"test": "jest path/to/my-test.js"
}
Run this with
npm run test
The easiest might be:
Array(1, 2, 3) :+ 4
Actually, Array can be implcitly transformed in a WrappedArray
just call this method simply:
((LinearLayoutManager)recyclerView.getLayoutManager()).scrollToPositionWithOffset(yourItemPosition,0);
instead of:
recyclerView.scrollToPosition(yourItemPosition);
IIS express configuration is managed by applicationhost.config.
You can find it in
Users\<username>\Documents\IISExpress\config folder.
Inside you can find the sites section that hold a section for each IIS Express configured site.
Add (or modify) a site section like this:
<site name="WebSiteWithVirtualDirectory" id="20">
<application path="/" applicationPool="Clr4IntegratedAppPool">
<virtualDirectory path="/" physicalPath="c:\temp\website1" />
</application>
<application path="/OffSiteStuff" applicationPool="Clr4IntegratedAppPool">
<virtualDirectory path="/" physicalPath="d:\temp\SubFolderApp" />
</application>
<bindings>
<binding protocol="http" bindingInformation="*:1132:localhost" />
</bindings>
</site>
Practically you need to add a new application tag in your site for each virtual directory. You get a lot of flexibility because you can set different configuration for the virtual directory (for example a different .Net Framework version)
EDIT Thanks to Fevzi Apaydin to point to a more elegant solution.
You can achieve same result by adding one or more virtualDirectory tag to the Application tag:
<site name="WebSiteWithVirtualDirectory" id="20">
<application path="/" applicationPool="Clr4IntegratedAppPool">
<virtualDirectory path="/" physicalPath="c:\temp\website1" />
<virtualDirectory path="/OffSiteStuff" physicalPath="d:\temp\SubFolderApp" />
</application>
<bindings>
<binding protocol="http" bindingInformation="*:1132:localhost" />
</bindings>
</site>

Using Authorize
attribute seems more convenient and feels more 'MVC way'. As for technical advantages there are some.
One scenario that comes to my mind is when you're using output caching in your app. Authorize attribute handles that well.
Another would be extensibility. The Authorize
attribute is just basic out of the box filter, but you can override its methods and do some pre-authorize actions like logging etc. I'm not sure how you would do that through configuration.
You don't need to add the concat package, you can do this via cssmin like this:
cssmin : {
options: {
keepSpecialComments: 0
},
minify : {
expand : true,
cwd : '/library/css',
src : ['*.css', '!*.min.css'],
dest : '/library/css',
ext : '.min.css'
},
combine : {
files: {
'/library/css/app.combined.min.css': ['/library/css/main.min.css', '/library/css/font-awesome.min.css']
}
}
}
And for js, use uglify like this:
uglify: {
my_target: {
files: {
'/library/js/app.combined.min.js' : ['/app.js', '/controllers/*.js']
}
}
}
The "trunk", "branches", and "tags" directories are conventions in Subversion. Subversion does not require you to have these directories nor assign special meaning to them. However, this convention is very common and, unless you have a really good reason, you should follow the convention. The book links that other readers have given describe the convention and how to use it.
This can also happen if you've been working on your scripts and functions and have been moving them around (i.e. changed the location of the definition) which could have accidentally created a looping reference.
You may find that the situation is solved if you just reset the iPython kernal to clear any old assignments:
%reset
or menu->restart terminal
Including the + in the push spec is probably a bad idea, as it means that git will happily do a non-fast-forward push even without -f, and if the remote server is set up to accept those, you can lose history.
Try just this:
$ git config --add remote.origin.push 'refs/heads/*:refs/heads/*'
$ git config --add remote.origin.push 'refs/tags/*:refs/tags/*'
$ git config --add remote.origin.fetch 'refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*'
$ git config --add remote.origin.fetch 'refs/tags/*:refs/tags/*'
Using simple Javascript
var createMapFromList = function(objectList, property) {
var objMap = {};
objectList.forEach(function(obj) {
objMap[obj[property]] = obj;
});
return objMap;
};
// objectList - the array ; property - property as the key
Just use "\n" in your strings.xml file as below
<string name="relaxing_sounds">RELAXING\nSOUNDS</string>
Even if it doesn't looks 2 lines on layout actually it is 2 lines. Firstly you can check it on Translation Editor
Click the down button and you will see this image
Moreover if you run the app you will see that it is written in two lines.
Dim iIndex as Integer
Dim ws As Excel.Worksheet
Dim wb As Workbook
Dim strPath As String
Dim strFile As String
strPath = "D:\Personal\"
strFile = Dir(strPath & "*.xlsx")
Do While strFile <> ""
Set wb = Workbooks.Open(Filename:=strPath & strFile)
For iIndex = 1 To wb.Worksheets.count
Set ws = wb.Worksheets(iIndex)
'Do something here.
Next iIndex
strFile = Dir 'This moves the value of strFile to the next file.
Loop
Usually killall node
command fixes mine.

The selected answer failed when I tried it. It throws an error: refusing to delete the current branch: refs/heads/master
. I guess I'll post what works for me:
git checkout master # if not in master already
git branch placeholder # create placeholder branch
git checkout placeholder # checkout to placeholder
git push remote placeholder # push placeholder to remote repository
git branch -d master # remove master in local repository
git push remote :master # remove master from remote repository.
The trick is to checkout to the placeholder right before pushing it to remote repository. The rest is self explanatory, deleting the master branch and push it to the remote repository should works now. Excerpted from here.
Oracle SQL Developer 2020-02 support PostgreSQL, but it is just the basics by adding postgreSQL driver under jdbc dir and configure by adding as a 3rd party driver.
The supported functionality:
Not supported functionalities:
The sad thing is Oracle should only change the queries behind this view in case of PostgreSql connections. For example for indexes they need to use this query: select * from pg_catalog.pg_indexes;
The Simple way is, to convert it to JSON String as below example:
Gson gson = new Gson();
String json = gson.toJson(myObj);
Then store the string in the shared preferences. Once you need it just get string from shared preferences and convert back to JSONArray or JSONObject(as per your requirement.)
Go to [Tools, Options], section "Web Forms Designer" and enable the option "Enable Web Forms Designer". That should give you the Design and Split option again.
This is the Formula of loop of Enumeration:
for (index, value) in shoppingList.enumerate() {
print("Item \(index + 1): \(value)")
}
