Yeah you can't access your drive folder from you android phone or emulator because your computer and android are two different OS.I would go for res folder of android because it has good resources management methods. Until and unless you have very good reason to put you file in assets folder. Instead You can do this

The solution above did not work due to some errors:

• directory creation did not work
• assets returned by Android contain also three folders: images, sounds and webkit
• Added way to deal with large files: Add extension .mp3 to the file in the assets folder in your project and during copy the target file will be without the .mp3 extension

EDIT: Corrected a misplaced ";" that was throwing a systematic "could not create dir" error.

Unless you unpack them, assets remain inside the apk. Accordingly, there isn't a path you can feed into a File. The path you've given in your question will work with/in a WebView, but I think that's a special case for WebView.

You'll need to unpack the file or use it directly.

If you have a Context, you can use context.getAssets().open("myfoldername/myfilename"); to open an InputStream on the file. With the InputStream you can use it directly, or write it out somewhere (after which you can use it with File).

The reason that you get the 404 File Not Found error, is that your path to CSS given as a value to the href attribute is missing context path.

An HTTP request URL contains the following parts:

http://[host]:[port][request-path]?[query-string]

The request path is further composed of the following elements:

• Context path: A concatenation of a forward slash (/) with the context root of the servlet's web application. Example: http://host[:port]/context-root[/url-pattern]

• Servlet path: The path section that corresponds to the component alias that activated this request. This path starts with a forward slash (/).

• Path info: The part of the request path that is not part of the context path or the servlet path.

Solutions

There are several solutions to your problem, here are some of them:

1) Using <c:url> tag from JSTL

In my Java web applications I usually used <c:url> tag from JSTL when defining the path to CSS/JavaScript/image and other static resources. By doing so you can be sure that those resources are referenced always relative to the application context (context path).

If you say, that your CSS is located inside WebContent folder, then this should work:

The reason why it works is explained in the "JavaServer Pages™ Standard Tag Library" version 1.2 specification chapter 7.5 (emphasis mine):

The URL must be either an absolute URL starting with a scheme (e.g. "http:// server/context/page.jsp") or a relative URL as defined by JSP 1.2 in JSP.2.2.1 "Relative URL Specification". As a consequence, an implementation must prepend the context path to a URL that starts with a slash (e.g. "/page2.jsp") so that such URLs can be properly interpreted by a client browser.

NOTE
Don't forget to use Taglib directive in your JSP to be able to reference JSTL tags. Also see an example JSP page here.

2) Using JSP Expression Language and implicit objects

An alternative solution is using Expression Language (EL) to add application context:

Here we have retrieved the context path from the request object. And to access the request object we have used the pageContext implicit object.

3) Using <c:set> tag from JSTL

DISCLAIMER
The idea of this solution was taken from here.

To make accessing the context path more compact than in the solution ?2, you can first use the JSTL <c:set> tag, that sets the value of an EL variable or the property of an EL variable in any of the JSP scopes (page, request, session, or application) for later access.

IMPORTANT NOTE
By default, in order to set the variable in such manner, the JSP that contains this set tag must be accessed at least once (including in case of setting the value in the application scope using scope attribute, like <c:set var="foo" value="bar" scope="application" />), before using this new variable. For instance, you can have several JSP files where you need this variable. So you must ether a) both set the new variable holding context path in the application scope AND access this JSP first, before using this variable in other JSP files, or b) set this context path holding variable in EVERY JSP file, where you need to access to it.

4) Using ServletContextListener

The more effective way to make accessing the context path more compact is to set a variable that will hold the context path and store it in the application scope using a Listener. This solution is similar to solution ?3, but the benefit is that now the variable holding context path is set right at the start of the web application and is available application wide, no need for additional steps.

We need a class that implements ServletContextListener interface. Here is an example of such class:

As suggested by user @gavenkoa you can also use scriptlets like this:

For such a small thing it is probably OK, just note that generally the use of scriptlets in JSP is discouraged.

Conclusion

I personally prefer either the first solution (used it in my previous projects most of the time) or the second, as they are most clear, intuitive and unambiguous (IMHO). But you choose whatever suits you most.

Other thoughts

You can deploy your web app as the default application (i.e. in the default root context), so it can be accessed without specifying context path. For more info read the "Update" section here.

You have to put all your assets in app/public folder, and to access them from your views you can use asset() helper method.

Ex. you can retrieve assets/images/image.png in your view as following:

You should place all fonts in app/assets/fonts/ as they WILL get precompiled in staging and production by default—they will get precompiled when pushed to heroku.

I strongly believe that putting vendor fonts into vendor/assets/fonts makes a lot more sense than putting them into app/assets/fonts. With these 2 lines of extra configuration this has worked well for me (on Rails 4):

Instead use the image object directly from bundle.
Start typing the image name and you will get suggestions with actual image from bundle. It is advisable practice and less prone to error.

there may or may not be a schema retrievable via the namespace name... User community and/or consumer/provider agreements may establish circumstances in which [trying to retrieve an xsd from the namespace url] is a sensible default strategy

in case a document author (human or not) created a document with a particular schema in view, and warrants that some or all of the document conforms to that schema, the schemaLocation and noNamespaceSchemaLocation [attributes] are provided.

So basically with specifying just a namespace, your XML "might" be attempted to be validated against an xsd at that location (even if it lacks a schemaLocation attribute), depending on your "community." If you specify a specific schemaLocation, then it basically is implying that the xml document "should" be conformant to said xsd, so "please validate it" (as I read it). My guess is that if you don't do a schemaLocation or noNamespaceSchemaLocation attribute it just "isn't validated" most of the time (based on the other answers, appears java does it this way).

Another wrinkle here is that typically, with xsd validation in java libraries [ex: spring config xml files], if your XML files specifies a particular schemaLocation xsd url in an XML file, like xsi:schemaLocation="http://somewhere http://somewhere/something.xsd" typically within one of your dependency jars it will contain a copy of that xsd file, in its resources section, and spring has a "mapping" capability saying to treat that xsd file as if it maps to the url http://somewhere/something.xsd (so you never end up going to web and downloading the file, it just exists locally). See also https://stackoverflow.com/a/41225329/32453 for slightly more info.

What you want to do is get the absolute path of the script (available via ${BASH_SOURCE[0]}) and then use this to get the parent directory and cd to it at the beginning of the script.

This turns out to be partially incorrect: /etc/profile may be sourced by zsh. However, this only occurs if zsh is "invoked as sh or ksh"; in these compatibility modes:

The usual zsh startup/shutdown scripts are not executed. Login shells source /etc/profile followed by $HOME/.profile. If the ENV environment variable is set on invocation, $ENV is sourced after the profile scripts. The value of ENV is subjected to parameter expansion, command substitution, and arithmetic expansion before being interpreted as a pathname. [man zshall, "Compatibility"].

The ArchWiki ZSH link says:

At login, Zsh sources the following files in this order:
/etc/profile

This implys that /etc/profile is always read by zsh at login - I haven't got any experience with the Arch Linux project; the wiki may be correct for that distribution, but it is not generally correct. The information is incorrect compared to the zsh manual pages, and doesn't seem to apply to zsh on OS X (paths in $PATH set in /etc/profile do not make it to my zsh sessions).

Generally, I would export my $PATH from ~/.zshrc, but it's worth having a read of the zshall man page, specifically the "STARTUP/SHUTDOWN FILES" section - ~/.zshrc is read for interactive shells, which may or may not suit your needs - if you want the $PATH for every zsh shell invoked by you (both interactive and not, both login and not, etc), then ~/.zshenv is a better option.

Is there a specific file I should be using (i.e. .zshenv which does not currently exist in my installation), one of the ones I am currently using, or does it even matter?

There's a bunch of files read on startup (check the linked man pages), and there's a reason for that - each file has it's particular place (settings for every user, settings for user-specific, settings for login shells, settings for every shell, etc).
Don't worry about ~/.zshenv not existing - if you need it, make it, and it will be read.

.bashrc and .bash_profile are not read by zsh, unless you explicitly source them from ~/.zshrc or similar; the syntax between bash and zsh is not always compatible. Both .bashrc and .bash_profile are designed for bash settings, not zsh settings.

For other users that run into this issue, the app I was testing against was a test version of our production app and didn't have the option to turn status and review to ON as others have mentioned here.

The fix was to create a new app which is not a test app, and configure it like the production version. The non-test version allows the option to turn status and review to ON.

My specific use was testing a user registered with a phone number instead of an email address. I tried adding that user into different roles of our test app (Developer and Tester), but to no avail. My guess is it has something to do with the user not having an email associated with it.

I found that on Windows 8.1 with an instance of SQL 2014 already installed, if I ran the SQLEXPR.EXE and then dismissed the Windows 'warning this may be incompatible' dialogs, that the installer completed successfully.

I suspect having 2014 bits already in place probably helped.

The following is a complete example of how to implement a ViewPager with different fragment Types and different layout files.

In this case, I have 3 Fragment classes, and a different layout file for each class. In order to keep things simple, the fragment-layouts only differ in their background color. Of course, any layout-file can be used for the Fragments.

FirstFragment.java has a orange background layout, SecondFragment.java has a green background layout and ThirdFragment.java has a red background layout. Furthermore, each Fragment displays a different text, depending on which class it is from and which instance it is.

Also be aware that I am using the support-library's Fragment: android.support.v4.app.Fragment

MainActivity.java (Initializes the Viewpager and has the adapter for it as an inner class). Again have a look at the imports. I am using the android.support.v4 package.

The Viewpager holds 5 Fragments, Fragments 1 is of type FirstFragment, and displays the first_frag.xml layout, Fragment 2 is of type SecondFragment and displays the second_frag.xml, and Fragment 3-5 are of type ThirdFragment and all display the third_frag.xml.

Above you can see the 5 Fragments between which can be switched via swipe to the left or right. Only one Fragment can be displayed at the same time of course.

Last but not least:

I would recommend that you use an empty constructor in each of your Fragment classes.

Instead of handing over potential parameters via constructor, use the newInstance(...) method and the Bundle for handing over parameters.

This way if detached and re-attached the object state can be stored through the arguments. Much like Bundles attached to Intents.

It's a PHP compiler written in PHP!

It compiles PHP code to its own VM code. This VM code can then either be interpreted by its own interpreter (also written in PHP, isn't that crazy?) or it can be translated to Bitcode. And using the LLVM compiler framework (clang and co), this Bitcode can be compiled into a native binary for any platform that LLVM supports (pretty much any platform that matters today). You can choose to either do that statically or each time just before the code is executed (JIT style). So the only two requirements for this compiler to work on your system is an installed PHP interpreter and an installed clang compiler.

If you are not allowed to run native binaries, you could use the compiler above as an interpreter and let it interpret its own VM code, yet this will be slow as you are running a PHP interpreter that itself is running on a PHP engine, so you have a "double interpretation".

Use a slice, not an arrray. Just create it using

JSON is a format that encodes objects in a string. Serialization means to convert an object into that string, and deserialization is its inverse operation (convert string -> object).

When transmitting data or storing them in a file, the data are required to be byte strings, but complex objects are seldom in this format. Serialization can convert these complex objects into byte strings for such use. After the byte strings are transmitted, the receiver will have to recover the original object from the byte string. This is known as deserialization.

Say, you have an object:

serializing into JSON will convert it into a string:

I got a little hint from This page on eHow; not sure if that might help anyone or not.

So anyway, this was the simple twenty three step procedure that worked for me

• Click on start button

• Choose Control Panel

• From Control Panel, choose Device Manger

• From Device Manager, choose Universal Serial Bus Controllers

• From Universal Serial Bus Controllers, click the little sideways triangle

• I cannot predict what you'll see on your computer, but on mine I get a long drop-down list

• Begin the investigation to figure out which one of these members of this list is the culprit...

  • On each member of the drop-down list, right-click on the name

  • A list will open, choose Properties

  • Guesswork time: using the various tabs near the top of the resulting window which opens, make a guess if this is the USB adapter driver which is choking your stuff with semaphore timeouts

• Once you have made the proper guess, then close the USB Root Hub Properties window (but leave the Device Manager window open).

• Physically disonnect anything and everything from that USB hub.

• Unplug it.

• Return your mouse pointer to that USB Root Hub in the list which you identified earlier.

• Right click again

• Choose Uninstall

• Let Windows do its thing

• Wait a little while

• Power Down the whole computer if you have the time; some say this is required. I think I got away without it.

• Plug the USB hub back into a USB connector on the PC

• If the list in the device manager blinks and does a few flash-bulbs, it's okay.

• Plug the BlueTooth connector back into the USB hub

• Let windows do its thing some more

• Within two minutes, I had a working COM port again, no semaphore timeouts.

The other way to do this where you only enter a password once is to join a Homegroup. if you have a network of 2 or more computers, they can all connect to a homegroup and access all the files they need from each other, and anyone outside the group needs a 1 time password to be able to access your network, this was introduced in windows 7.

Also, you can do this:

XMLHttpRequest isn't allowed to set these headers, they are being set automatically by the browser. The reason is that by manipulating these headers you might be able to trick the server into accepting a second request through the same connection, one that wouldn't go through the usual security checks - that would be a security vulnerability in the browser.

According to the official oracle java properties, sun.net.inetaddr.ttl is Sun implementation-specific property, which "may not be supported in future releases". "the preferred way is to use the security property" networkaddress.cache.ttl.

If you wanted to search some elements based on a regex, you can use the filter function. For example, say you wanted to make sure that in all the input boxes, the user has only entered numbers, so let's find all the inputs which don't match and highlight them.

This is an issue distinct to Chrome, but there are two paths you can take to fix it.

I noticed the error once I added this specific header to my PHP script.

The error appears to be related to PHP sessions when sending response headers. So according to chromium bug report 424599, this was fixed and you can just update to a newer version of Chrome. But if for some reason you can't or don't want to update, the workaround would be to remove these response headers from your PHP script if possible (that's what I did because it wasn't required).

Cygwin is designed to provide a more-or-less complete POSIX environment for Windows, including an extensive set of tools designed to provide a full-fledged Linux-like platform. In comparison, MinGW and MSYS provide a lightweight, minimalist POSIX-like layer, with only the more essential tools like gcc and bash available. The main issue being that $.getJSON will run asynchronously, thus your Javascript will progress past the expression which invokes it even before its success callback fires, so there are no guarantees that your variable will capture any data.

I used a WebView and loaded the image from the memory via

Your system likely does not provide the ncurses library at the version android studio uses. My arch linux install only had ncurses 6 but android studio needs version 5. You could check if your distribution has a compatability package, or use the solution that Rahmat Aligos suggested.

For example 8/12/1976. Copy your date column. Highlight the copied column and click Data> Text to Columns> Delimited> Next. In the delimiters column check "Other" and input / and then click Next and Finish. You'll have 3 columns and the first column will be 1/8. Highlight it and click the comma in the Number section and it will give you the month as 8.00, so then reduce it by clicking the comma in Home/Numbers and you'll now have 8 in the first column, 18 in the second column and 1976 in the third column. In the first empty cell to the right use the concatenate function and leave out the year column. If your month is column A, day is column B and year is column C, it will look like this: =concatenate(A2,"/",B2) and hit enter. It will look like 8/18, however, when you click on the cell you'll see the concatenate formula. Highlight the cell(s), then copy and paste special values. Now you can sort by date. It's really quick when you get the hang of it.

document.location is an object, while document.location.href is a string. But the former has a toString method, so you can read from it as if it was a string and get the same value as document.location.href.

In some browsers - most modern ones, I think - you can also assign to document.location as if it were a string. According to the Mozilla documentation however, it is better to use window.location for this purpose as document.location was originally read-only and so may not be as widely supported.

I spent quite a while wrestling with this problem and then I realized I was making a simple mistake in the fact that I had forgotten which particular database I was targeting my connection to. I was using the standard SQL Server connection window to enter the credentials:

I had to check the Connection Properties tab to verify that I was choosing the correct database to connect to. I had accidentally left the Connect to database option here set to a selection from a previous session. This is why I was unable to connect to the database I thought I was trying to connect to.

Note that you need to click the Options >> button in order for the Connection Properties and other tabs to show up.

Louis' answer is great, but I thought I would try to sum it up succinctly:

The bang operator tells the compiler to temporarily relax the "not null" constraint that it might otherwise demand. It says to the compiler: "As the developer, I know better than you that this variable cannot be null right now".

There is an excellent tutorial on how to create a library for the Arduino platform. A library is basically a class, so it should show you how its all done.

On Arduino you can use classes, but there are a few restrictions:

• No new and delete keywords
• No exceptions
• No libstdc++, hence no standard functions, templates or classes

You also need to make new files for your classes, you can't just declare them in your main sketch. You also will need to close the Arduino IDE when recompiling a library. That is why I use Eclipse as my Arduino IDE.

In our case the problem was that we change the default root namespace name.

These answers are correct for the cases they state but there is a still a problem if you run the script from another script using the 'source' keyword (so that it runs in the same shell). In this case, you get the $0 of the calling script. And in this case, I don't think it is possible to get the name of the script itself.

This is an edge case and should not be taken TOO seriously. If you run the script from another script directly (without 'source'), using $0 will work.

There are actually some options available:

You can use SizedBox.expand to make your widget match parents dimensions, or SizedBox(width: double.infinity) to match only the width or SizedBox(heigth: double.infinity) to match only the heigth.

If you want a wrap_content behavior it depends on the parent widget you are using, for example if you put a button on a column it will behave like wrap_content and to use it like match_parent you can wrap the button with a Expanded widget or a sizedbox.

With a ListView the button gets a match_parent behavior and to get a wrap_content behavior you can wrap it with a Flex widget like Row.

"True" and "False" do not work, to disable, set to value disabled.

Also, don't worry about multiple items being selected, jQuery will operate on all of them that match. If you need just one you can use many things :first, :last, nth, etc.

You are using name and not id as other mention -- remember, if you use id valid xhtml requires the ids be unique.

I agree with Jim Blizard. The database is not the part of your technology stack that should send emails. For example, what if you send an email but then roll back the change that triggered that email? You can't take the email back.

It's better to send the email in your application code layer, after your app has confirmed that the SQL change was made successfully and committed.

I've continued my research and have not found any reasonable way to do this. The Columns property on the DataGrid isn't something I can bind against, in fact it's read only.

Bryan suggested something might be done with AutoGenerateColumns so I had a look. It uses simple .Net reflection to look at the properties of the objects in ItemsSource and generates a column for each one. Perhaps I could generate a type on the fly with a property for each column but this is getting way off track.

Since this problem is so easily sovled in code I will stick with a simple extension method I call whenever the data context is updated with new columns:

No, there is no difference. But I prefer using int[] array as it is more readable.

This issue has occurred to me when I had a bad reference in my render/return statement. (point to a non existing class). Also check your return statement code for bad references.

I had this issue with the Jenkins Git plugin after authentication issues with GitLab. Jenkins was reporting 'hudson.plugins.git.GitException:[...]stderr: GitLab: The project you were looking for could not be found. fatal: Could not read from remote repository.'

However if I did a 'git clone' or 'git fetch' direct from the Jenkins box (command line) it worked without issue.

The issue was resolved by deleting the entire /workspace directory in the Jenkins jobs folder for that particular job, e.g.

rm -Rf $JENKINS_HOME/jobs/myJenkinsJob/workspace/

Presumably the local .git folder had got stale/corrupted ?
