While using backticks or popen is often what you really want, it doesn't actually answer the question asked. There may be valid reasons for capturing system output (maybe for automated testing). A little Googling turned up an answer I thought I would post here for the benefit of others.

Since I needed this for testing my example uses a block setup to capture the standard output since the actual system call is buried in the code being tested:

But note that turning off warning messages globally might not be a good idea.

There's a simply way of doing it. You define for all the rows, except the first one, the following class with properties:

Then you apply the class to all non-first rows and adjust the negative top value to fit your desired row space. It's easy and works way better. :) Hope it helped.

Before Android 4.4

What you are trying to do is simply not possible from an app (at least not on a non-rooted/non-modified device). The message "NFC tag type not supported" is displayed by the Android system (or more specifically the NFC system service) before and instead of dispatching the tag to your app. This means that the NFC system service filters MIFARE Classic tags and never notifies any app about them. Consequently, your app can't detect MIFARE Classic tags or circumvent that popup message.

On a rooted device, you may be able to bypass the message using either

1. Xposed to modify the behavior of the NFC service, or

2. the CSC (Consumer Software Customization) feature configuration files on the system partition (see /system/csc/. The NFC system service disables the popup and dispatches MIFARE Classic tags to apps if the CSC feature <CscFeature_NFC_EnableSecurityPromptPopup> is set to any value but "mifareclassic" or "all". For instance, you could use:

   <CscFeature_NFC_EnableSecurityPromptPopup>NONE</CscFeature_NFC_EnableSecurityPromptPopup>
   

   You could add this entry to, for instance, the file "/system/csc/others.xml" (within the section <FeatureSet> ... </FeatureSet> that already exists in that file).

Since, you asked for the Galaxy S6 (the question that you linked) as well: I have tested this method on the S4 when it came out. I have not verified if this still works in the latest firmware or on other devices (e.g. the S6).

This is pure guessing, but according to this (link no longer available), it seems that some apps (e.g. NXP TagInfo) are capable of detecting MIFARE Classic tags on affected Samsung devices since Android 4.4. This might mean that foreground apps are capable of bypassing that popup using the reader-mode API (see NfcAdapter.enableReaderMode) possibly in combination with NfcAdapter.FLAG_READER_SKIP_NDEF_CHECK.

A NullPointerException means that one of the variables you are passing is null, but the code tries to use it like it is not.

For example, If I do this:

The code tries to grab the intValue of myInteger, but since it is null, it does not have one: a null pointer exception happens.

What this means is that your getTask method is expecting something that is not a null, but you are passing a null. Figure out what getTask needs and pass what it wants!

Firstly, in histories_T, you are referencing table T_customer (should be T_customers) and secondly, you are missing the FOREIGN KEY clause that REFERENCES orders; which is not being created (or dropped) with the code you provided.

There may be additional errors as well, and I admit Oracle has never been very good at describing the cause of errors - "Mutating Tables" is a case in point.

As mentioned already, the contents are stored at the server. However the session is identified by a session-id, which is stored at the client and send with each request. Usually the session-id is stored in a cookie, but it can also be appended to urls. (That's the PHPSESSID query-parameter you some times see)

I wanted to add that you don't need Visual C++ 2010 versions when using 2012 version (at least in this case).

AFAIK there is no way to visually see line endings in the editor space, but in the bottom-right corner of the window there is an indicator that says "CLRF" or "LF" which will let you set the line endings for a particular file. Clicking on the text will allow you to change the line endings as well.

The below trick worked for me.

1) Comment/delete the below configuration from server.xml file (inside conf folder) of tomcat.

2) Delete the existing ROOT folder (If any) residing inside tomcat webapps folder. And rename your war (e.g: test.war ) file to ROOT.war.

I started my journey in the Python <-> C++ binding from this page, with the objective of linking high level data types (multidimensional STL vectors with Python lists) :-)

Having tried the solutions based on both ctypes and boost.python (and not being a software engineer) I have found them complex when high level datatypes binding is required, while I have found SWIG much more simple for such cases.

This example uses therefore SWIG, and it has been tested in Linux (but SWIG is available and is widely used in Windows too).

The objective is to make a C++ function available to Python that takes a matrix in form of a 2D STL vector and returns an average of each row (as a 1D STL vector).

I have same issue and found this topic. the above answers can solve those problem, but I don't think them are good plans.

let us think about the real world.

if we use those answers, we have to change our code. you have to change your code style. something like this:

as time goes on, think about your project. the code is ugly and hard to read! anthoer reason is simple is always better. if you have 10 bindAtTheStart, it may no bugs. if you have 100 bindAtTheStart, are you really sure you can keep them in right order?

so if you have to bind same events multiple.I think the best way is control js-file or js-code load order. jquery can handle event data as queue. the order is first-in, first-out. you don't need change any code. just change load order.

Also, you can use -o or --offline in the mvn command line which will put maven in "offline mode" so it won't check for updates. You'll get some warning about not being able to get dependencies not already in your local repo, but no big deal.

You should use TEXT (storing unlimited number of characters) for the sake of forward compatibility. Hashing algorithms (need to) become stronger over time and thus this database field will need to support more characters over time. Additionally depending on your migration strategy you may need to store new and old hashes in the same field, so fixing the length to one type of hash is not recommended.

What if .NET 5.0 replaces System.Collections.Generic.List<T> to System.Collection.Generics.LinearList<T>. .NET always owns the name List<T> but they guarantee that IList<T> is a contract. So IMHO we (atleast I) are not supposed to use someone's name (though it is .NET in this case) and get into trouble later.

In case of using IList<T>, the caller is always guareented things to work, and the implementer is free to change the underlying collection to any alternative concrete implementation of IList

As per @Charles Harley, there is a bug in 2.3 and below where filling the list item with a colour causes the colour to flow out over the whole list. His fix is to define a shape drawable containing the colour you want, and to use that instead of the colour.

I suggest looking at this link if you want to just use a colour as selector, and are targeting Android 2 (or at least allow for Android 2).

array is a slightly misleading name. For a dynamically allocated array of pointers, malloc will return a pointer to a block of memory. You need to use Chess* and not Chess[] to hold the pointer to your array.

Notification after API 11 (More control)

API 11 provides additional control on Notification behavior

• Notification Dismissal
  By default, if a user taps on notification then it performs the assigned click event but it does not clear away the notification. If you want your notification to get cleared when then you should add this

  mBuilder.setAutoClear(true);

• Prevent user from dismissing notification
  A user may also dismiss the notification by swiping it. You can disable this default behavior by adding this while building your notification

If your app runs on lower API than 11 then your notification will work without above mentioned additional features. This is the advantage to choosing NotificationCompat.Builder over Notification.Builder

Notification after API 16 (More informative)

With the introduction of API 16, notifications were given so many new features
Notification can be so much more informative.
You can add a bigPicture to your logo. Say you get a message from a person now with the mBuilder.setLargeIcon(Bitmap bitmap) you can show that person's photo. So in the statusbar you will see the icon when you scroll you will see the person photo in place of the icon. There are other features too

• Add a counter in the notification
• Ticker message when you see the notification for the first time
• Expandable notification
• Multiline notification and so on

Having been bitten by this, I have a habit of including locally defined variables in the innermost scope which I use to transfer to any closure. In your example:

I had the same problem. I was using Docker Toolbox on Windows Home. Instead of localhost I had to use http://192.168.99.100:8080/.

Since jQuery 1.8 there is a jQuery.parseHTML() function which is now a preferred way of creating elements. Also, there are some issues with parsing HTML via $('(html code goes here)'), fo example official jQuery website mentions the following in one of their release notes:

Relaxed HTML parsing: You can once again have leading spaces or newlines before tags in $(htmlString). We still strongly advise that you use $.parseHTML() when parsing HTML obtained from external sources, and may be making further changes to HTML parsing in the future.

You have a line break <br> in-between the second and third images in your markup. Get rid of that, and it'll show inline.

Yes, since some genius in the Java API creation committee decided that, even though certain classes have size() members or length attributes, they won't implement getSize() or getLength() which JSF and most other standards require, you can't do what you want.

There's a couple ways to do this.

One: add a function to your Bean that returns the length:

This allocates the memory on the stack.

data s1;

Assignments just copies numbers, sometimes pointers.

This fails

s1.name = "Paulo";

because the compiler knows that s1.name is the start of a struct 64 bytes long, and "Paulo" is a char[] 6 bytes long (6 because of the trailing \0 in C strings)
Thus, trying to assign a pointer to a string into a string.

To copy "Paulo" into the struct at the point name and "Rossi" into the struct at point surname.

You end up with

strcpy does the same thing but it knows about \0 termination so does not need the length hardcoded.

Alternatively you can define a struct which points to char arrays of any length.

Found one solution for WIFI (works for Android 4.3, 4.4):

1. Connect to WIFI network (e.g. 'Alex')
2. Settings->WIFI

In my case, my site was hosted on shared hosting and there was a resource over usage not even relating to my database, thus my database was locked down, the hosting panel was Plesk

Have you tried logging in as the jenkins user?

Try this:

Often times you see failure if the host has not been added or authorized (hence I always manually login as hudson/jenkins for the first connection to github/bitbucket) but that link you included supposedly fixes that.

If the above doesn't work try recopying the key. Make sure its the pub key (ie id_rsa.pub). Maybe you missed some characters?

What you can try to do is get the transformation Matrix from the animation before you stop it and inspect the Matrix contents to get the position values you are looking for.

1. In Chrome's Developer Tools, bring up the 'Search' panel by hitting Ctrl+Shift+F.

2. Type in the name of the element you're trying to find.

Results for binded elements should appear in the panel and state the file they're located in.

When you insert ANY variable into HTML, unless you want the browser to interpret the variable itself as HTML, it's best to use htmlspecialchars() on it. Among other things, it prevents hackers from inserting arbitrary HTML in your page.

The value of $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] is taken directly from the URL entered in the browser. Therefore if you use it without htmlspecialchars(), you're allowing hackers to directly manipulate the output of your code.

For example, if I e-mail you a link to http://example.com/"><script>malicious_code_here()</script><span class=" and you have <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] ?>">, the output will be:

My script will run, and you will be none the wiser. If you were logged in, I may have stolen your cookies, or scraped confidential info from your page.

However, if you used <form action="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']) ?>">, the output would be:

When you submitted the form, you'd have a weird URL, but at least my evil script did not run.

On the other hand, if you used <form action="">, then the output would be the same no matter what I added to my link. This is the option I would recommend.

I wrote my thoughts of static classes in an earlier Stack Overflow answer: Class with single method -- best approach?

I used to love utility classes filled up with static methods. They made a great consolidation of helper methods that would otherwise lie around causing redundancy and maintenance hell. They're very easy to use, no instantiation, no disposal, just fire'n'forget. I guess this was my first unwitting attempt at creating a service-oriented architecture - lots of stateless services that just did their job and nothing else. As a system grows however, dragons be coming.

Polymorphism

Say we have the method UtilityClass.SomeMethod that happily buzzes along. Suddenly we need to change the functionality slightly. Most of the functionality is the same, but we have to change a couple of parts nonetheless. Had it not been a static method, we could make a derivate class and change the method contents as needed. As it's a static method, we can't. Sure, if we just need to add functionality either before or after the old method, we can create a new class and call the old one inside of it - but that's just gross.

Interface woes

Static methods cannot be defined through interfaces for logic reasons. And since we can't override static methods, static classes are useless when we need to pass them around by their interface. This renders us unable to use static classes as part of a strategy pattern. We might patch some issues up by passing delegates instead of interfaces.

Testing

This basically goes hand in hand with the interface woes mentioned above. As our ability of interchanging implementations is very limited, we'll also have trouble replacing production code with test code. Again, we can wrap them up, but it'll require us to change large parts of our code just to be able to accept wrappers instead of the actual objects.

Fosters blobs

As static methods are usually used as utility methods and utility methods usually will have different purposes, we'll quickly end up with a large class filled up with non-coherent functionality - ideally, each class should have a single purpose within the system. I'd much rather have a five times the classes as long as their purposes are well defined.

Parameter creep

To begin with, that little cute and innocent static method might take a single parameter. As functionality grows, a couple of new parameters are added. Soon further parameters are added that are optional, so we create overloads of the method (or just add default values, in languages that support them). Before long, we have a method that takes 10 parameters. Only the first three are really required, parameters 4-7 are optional. But if parameter 6 is specified, 7-9 are required to be filled in as well... Had we created a class with the single purpose of doing what this static method did, we could solve this by taking in the required parameters in the constructor, and allowing the user to set optional values through properties, or methods to set multiple interdependent values at the same time. Also, if a method has grown to this amount of complexity, it most likely needs to be in its own class anyway.

Demanding consumers to create an instance of classes for no reason

One of the most common arguments is: Why demand that consumers of our class create an instance for invoking this single method, while having no use for the instance afterwards? Creating an instance of a class is a very very cheap operation in most languages, so speed is not an issue. Adding an extra line of code to the consumer is a low cost for laying the foundation of a much more maintainable solution in the future. And finally, if you want to avoid creating instances, simply create a singleton wrapper of your class that allows for easy reuse - although this does make the requirement that your class is stateless. If it's not stateless, you can still create static wrapper methods that handle everything, while still giving you all the benefits in the long run. Finally, you could also make a class that hides the instantiation as if it was a singleton: MyWrapper.Instance is a property that just returns new MyClass();

Only a Sith deals in absolutes

Of course, there are exceptions to my dislike of static methods. True utility classes that do not pose any risk to bloat are excellent cases for static methods - System.Convert as an example. If your project is a one-off with no requirements for future maintenance, the overall architecture really isn't very important - static or non static, doesn't really matter - development speed does, however.

Standards, standards, standards!

Using instance methods does not inhibit you from also using static methods, and vice versa. As long as there's reasoning behind the differentiation and it's standardised. There's nothing worse than looking over a business layer sprawling with different implementation methods.

To start Jupyter Notebook in Windows:

• open a Windows cmd (win + R and return cmd)

Things are about to change on the "eol conversion" front, with the upcoming Git 1.7.2:

A new config setting core.eol is being added/evolved:

This is a replacement for the 'Add "core.eol" config variable' commit that's currently in pu (the last one in my series).
Instead of implying that "core.autocrlf=true" is a replacement for "* text=auto", it makes explicit the fact that autocrlf is only for users who want to work with CRLFs in their working directory on a repository that doesn't have text file normalization.
When it is enabled, "core.eol" is ignored.

Introduce a new configuration variable, "core.eol", that allows the user to set which line endings to use for end-of-line-normalized files in the working directory.
It defaults to "native", which means CRLF on Windows and LF everywhere else. Note that "core.autocrlf" overrides core.eol.
This means that:

puts CRLFs in the working directory even if core.eol is set to "lf".

core.eol:

Sets the line ending type to use in the working directory for files that have the text property set.
Alternatives are 'lf', 'crlf' and 'native', which uses the platform's native line ending.
The default value is native.

Other evolutions are being considered:

For 1.8, I would consider making core.autocrlf just turn on normalization and leave the working directory line ending decision to core.eol, but that will break people's setups.

convert.c: refactor crlf_action

Refactor the determination and usage of crlf_action.
Today, when no "crlf" attribute are set on a file, crlf_action is set to CRLF_GUESS. Use CRLF_UNDEFINED instead, and search for "text" or "eol" as before.

Replace the old CRLF_GUESS usage:

CRLF_GUESS && core.autocrlf=true -> CRLF_AUTO_CRLF
CRLF_GUESS && core.autocrlf=false -> CRLF_BINARY
CRLF_GUESS && core.autocrlf=input -> CRLF_AUTO_INPUT

Make more clear, what is what, by defining:

- CRLF_UNDEFINED : No attributes set. Temparally used, until core.autocrlf
                   and core.eol is evaluated and one of CRLF_BINARY,
                   CRLF_AUTO_INPUT or CRLF_AUTO_CRLF is selected
- CRLF_BINARY    : No processing of line endings.
- CRLF_TEXT      : attribute "text" is set, line endings are processed.
- CRLF_TEXT_INPUT: attribute "input" or "eol=lf" is set. This implies text.
- CRLF_TEXT_CRLF : attribute "eol=crlf" is set. This implies text.
- CRLF_AUTO      : attribute "auto" is set.
- CRLF_AUTO_INPUT: core.autocrlf=input (no attributes)
- CRLF_AUTO_CRLF : core.autocrlf=true  (no attributes)

As torek adds in the comments:

all these translations (any EOL conversion from eol= or autocrlf settings, and "clean" filters) are run when files move from work-tree to index, i.e., during git add rather than at git commit time.
(Note that git commit -a or --only or --include do add files to the index at that time, though.)

The other solutions didn't work for me. Maybe the old DOCTYPE in the project I am working on prevents HTML5 options.

Backticks enclose template literals, previously known as template strings. Template literals are string literals that allow embedded expressions and string interpolation features.

Template literals have expressions embedded in placeholders, denoted by the dollar sign and curly brackets around an expression, i.e. ${expression}. The placeholder / expressions get passed to a function. The default function just concatenates the string.

To escape a backtick, put a backslash before it:

While working with selected cells as shown by @tbur can be useful, it's also not the only option available.

1) I have experienced same issue, my Xcode version was 7.0.1, and I updated my iPhone to version 9.2, then upon using Xcode, my iPhone was shown in the section of unavailable device. Just like in image below:

2) But then I somehow managed to select my iPhone by clicking at
Product -> Destination -> Unavailable Device

3) But that didn't solved my problem, and it started showing:

Could not find Developer Disk Image

Solution) Then finally I downloaded latest version of Xcode version 7.2 from here and everything has worked fine for me.

Update: Whenever version of iPhone device is higher than version of Xcode, you may experience same issue, so you should update your Xcode version to remove this error.

In the version of Android Studio I have (0.3.2), it was as easy as using the menu.

VCS Menu > Git > Share on GitHub.

It will then ask you for your credentials, and then a name for your new repo, and that's it!
