A more elegant solution that avoids the casting is to implement an extension to IList to do the job.

  3. Right click on the yellow (has to be yellow if it's driver problem) icon representing your mobile device

  8. then choose manually
  9. From the windows opened look for driver disk the bottom right button

  12. Then choose the driver
  13. When windows warn your about possible incompatibility go on.

Building executable jar with maven?

Actually, I think that the answer given in the question you mentioned is just wrong (UPDATE - 20101106: someone fixed it, this answer refers to the version preceding the edit) and this explains, at least partially, why you run into troubles.


It generates two jar files in logmanager/target: logmanager-0.1.0.jar, and logmanager-0.1.0-jar-with-dependencies.jar.

The first one is the JAR of the logmanager module generated during the package phase by jar:jar (because the module has a packaging of type jar). The second one is the assembly generated by assembly:assembly and should contain the classes from the current module and its dependencies (if you used the descriptor jar-with-dependencies).

I get an error when I double-click on the first jar:

Could not find the main class: com.gorkwobble.logmanager.LogManager. Program will exit.

If you applied the suggested configuration of the link posted as reference, you configured the jar plugin to produce an executable artifact, something like this:

A slightly different error when I double-click the jar-with-dependencies.jar:

Again, if you configured the assembly plugin as suggested, you have something like this:

The jar is actually not executable, which again is not what you want.


So, my suggestion would be to remove the configuration element from the maven-jar-plugin and to configure the maven-assembly-plugin like this:

Of course, replace org.sample.App with the class you want to have executed. Little bonus, I've bound assembly:single to the package phase so you don't have to run assembly:assembly anymore. Just run mvn install and the assembly will be produced during the standard build.

So, please update your pom.xml with the configuration given above and run mvn clean install. Then, cd into the target directory and try again:

java -jar logmanager-0.1.0-jar-with-dependencies.jar

If you get an error, please update your question with it and post the content of the META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file and the relevant part of your pom.xml (the plugins configuration parts). Also please post the result of:

java -cp logmanager-0.1.0-jar-with-dependencies.jar com.gorkwobble.logmanager.LogManager

to demonstrate it's working fine on the command line (regardless of what eclipse is saying).

EDIT: For Java 6, you need to configure the maven-compiler-plugin. Add this to your pom.xml:

I needed to template a few files with minimal tooling and for me the issue with above sed -e '/../r file.txt is that it only appends the file after it prints out the rest of the match, it doesn't replace it.

So, your checkbox changes the testb inside of the child scope, but not the outer parent scope.

Note, that if you want to modify the data in the parent scope, you'll need to modify the internal properties of an object like in the last div that I added.

What is move semantics?

Move semantics are based on rvalue references.
An rvalue is a temporary object, which is going to be destroyed at the end of the expression. In current C++, rvalues only bind to const references. C++1x will allow non-const rvalue references, spelled T&&, which are references to an rvalue objects.
Since an rvalue is going to die at the end of an expression, you can steal its data. Instead of copying it into another object, you move its data into it.

In the above code, with old compilers the result of f() is copied into x using X's copy constructor. If your compiler supports move semantics and X has a move-constructor, then that is called instead. Since its rhs argument is an rvalue, we know it's not needed any longer and we can steal its value.
So the value is moved from the unnamed temporary returned from f() to x (while the data of x, initialized to an empty X, is moved into the temporary, which will get destroyed after the assignment).

You can't declare an array using a variable so Byte byteData[len]; won't work. If you want to copy the data from a pointer, you also need to memcpy (which will go through the data pointed to by the pointer and copy each byte up to a specified length).

Try:

This code will dynamically allocate the array to the correct size (you must free(byteData) when you're done) and copy the bytes into it.

You could also use getBytes:length: as indicated by others if you want to use a fixed length array. This avoids malloc/free but is less extensible and more prone to buffer overflow issues so I rarely ever use it.

Yeah, use .match, rather than .search. The result from the .match call will return the actual string that was matched itself, but it can still be used as a boolean value.

Regarding the answer from Michael Wyraz, where you use alt*DeploymentRepository in your settings.xml or command on the line, be careful if you are using version 3.0.0-M1 of the maven-deploy-plugin (which is the latest version at the time of writing), there is a bug in this version that could cause a server authentication issue.

A workaround is as follows. In the value:

It was taken from /var/log/syslog.

Basically:

PID 12216 elected as a victim (due to its use of +9Gb of total-vm), so oom_killer reaped it.

You need to ensure the html and body are set to 100% and also be sure to add vendor prefixes for calc, so -moz-calc, -webkit-calc.

Your class doesn't have a __init__(), so by the time it's instantiated, the attribute atoms is not present. You'd have to do C.setdata('something') so C.atoms becomes available.

I will assume that you've done a data dump as insert statements, and you (or whoever Googles this) are attempting to figure out the date and time, or translate it for use elsewhere (eg: to convert to MySQL inserts). This is actually easy in any programming language.

Let's work with this:

CAST(0x0000A61300B1F1EB AS DateTime)

This Hex representation is actually two separate data elements... Date and Time. The first four bytes are date, the second four bytes are time.

  • The date is 0x0000A613
  • The time is 0x00B1F1EB

Convert both of the segments to integers using the programming language of your choice (it's a direct hex to integer conversion, which is supported in every modern programming language, so, I will not waste space with code that may or may not be the programming language you're working in).

  • The date of 0x0000A613 becomes 42515
  • The time of 0x00B1F1EB becomes 11661803

Now, what to do with those integers:

Date

Date is since 01/01/1900, and is represented as days. So, add 42,515 days to 01/01/1900, and your result is 05/27/2016.

Time

Time is a little more complex. Take that INT and do the following to get your time in microseconds since midnight (pseudocode):

TimeINT=Hex2Int(HexTime)
MicrosecondsTime = TimeINT*10000/3

From there, use your language's favorite function calls to translate microseconds (38872676666.7 µs in the example above) into time.

The result would be 10:47:52.677

How to make an introduction page with Doxygen

I tried all the above with v 1.8.13 to no avail. What worked for me (on macOS) was to use the doxywizard->Expert tag to fill the USE_MD_FILE_AS_MAINPAGE setting.

It made the following changes to my Doxyfile:

Step 9: Now the most difficult part - open "Terminal" on your Mac, and run the following commands:

openssl pkcs12 -in pushcert.p12 -out pushcert.pem -nodes -clcerts

The -m switch of PuTTY takes a path to a script file as an argument, not a command.

So you have to save your command (command_run) to a plain text file (e.g. c:\path\command.txt) and pass that to PuTTY:

Why am I getting an error "Object literal may only specify known properties"?

As of TypeScript 1.6, properties in object literals that do not have a corresponding property in the type they're being assigned to are flagged as errors.

Usually this error means you have a bug (typically a typo) in your code, or in the definition file. The right fix in this case would be to fix the typo. In the question, the property callbackOnLoactionHash is incorrect and should have been callbackOnLocationHash (note the mis-spelling of "Location").

This change also required some updates in definition files, so you should get the latest version of the .d.ts for any libraries you're using.

Type-checking only some properties

Is it a good idea to index datetime field in mysql?

MySQL recommends using indexes for a variety of reasons including elimination of rows between conditions: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/mysql-indexes.html

This makes your datetime column an excellent candidate for an index if you are going to be using it in conditions frequently in queries. If your only condition is BETWEEN NOW() AND DATE_ADD(NOW(), INTERVAL 30 DAY) and you have no other index in the condition, MySQL will have to do a full table scan on every query. I'm not sure how many rows are generated in 30 days, but as long as it's less than about 1/3 of the total rows it will be more efficient to use an index on the column.

Your question about creating an efficient database is very broad. I'd say to just make sure that it's normalized and all appropriate columns are indexed (i.e. ones used in joins and where clauses).

Usually you would be interested in also having some structure to your data in the receiving end:

json_encode($result)

This will preserve the array keys as well.

Do remember that json_encode only works on utf8 -encoded data.

Yes, use DialogFragment and in onCreateDialog you can simply use an AlertDialog builder anyway to create a simple AlertDialog with Yes/No confirmation buttons. Not very much code at all.

With regards handling events in your fragment there would be various ways of doing it but I simply define a message Handler in my Fragment, pass it into the DialogFragment via its constructor and then pass messages back to my fragment's handler as approprirate on the various click events. Again various ways of doing that but the following works for me.

In the dialog hold a message and instantiate it in the constructor:

Thought I'd simplify the simplest examples copied from above, working for me on Py3.6. Simplest is multiprocessing.Pool:

You can set the number of processes in the pool with, e.g., Pool(processes=5). However it defaults to CPU count, so leave it blank for CPU-bound tasks. (I/O-bound tasks often suit threads anyway, as the threads are mostly waiting so can share a CPU core.) Pool also applies chunking optimization.

(Note that the worker method cannot be nested within a method. I initially defined my worker method inside the method that makes the call to pool.map, to keep it all self-contained, but then the processes couldn't import it, and threw "AttributeError: Can't pickle local object outer_method..inner_method". More here. It can be inside a class.)

(Appreciate the original question specified printing 'represent!' rather than time.sleep(), but without it I thought some code was running concurrently when it wasn't.)


Py3's ProcessPoolExecutor is also two lines (.map returns a generator so you need the list()):

git replace local version with remote version

I understand the question as this: you want to completely replace the contents of one file (or a selection) from upstream. You don't want to affect the index directly (so you would go through add + commit as usual).

Simply do

git checkout remote/branch -- a/file b/another/file

If you want to do this for extensive subtrees and instead wish to affect the index directly use

git read-tree remote/branch:subdir/

You can then (optionally) update your working copy by doing

I found the error: I have a library that it was built using jdk 1.6. The Spring main controller and components are in this library. And how I use jdk 1.7, It does not find the classes built in 1.6.

The solution was built all using "compiler compliance level: 1.7" and "Generated .class files compatibility: 1.6", "Source compatibility: 1.6".

I setup this option in Eclipse: Preferences\Java\Compiler.

Query 1 run faster with small or medium records, if number of records equal 5,000 or higher, the result are similar.

Result for 500 records:

How do I check in python if an element of a list is empty?

Just check if that element is equal to None type or make use of NOT operator ,which is equivalent to the NULL type you observe in other languages.

Anyway if you know the size of your list then you don't need to do all this.

Java: Clear the console

If you want a more system independent way of doing this, you can use the JLine library and ConsoleReader.clearScreen(). Prudent checking of whether JLine and ANSI is supported in the current environment is probably worth doing too.

Something like the following code worked for me:

Maven Unable to locate the Javac Compiler in:

Had the same problem, but in my case, the directory eclipse pointed the JRE was the JDK. So, i searched for that tools.jar and was there.

I did

  • Java Build Path >> Libraries
  • JRE System Lybrary >> Edit
  • Installed JREs >> click on my jdk >> edit
  • Add External Jars >> tools.jar

And then compiled fine

What you actually created with:

Was fixed size array (not list) with size of 0. You can create fixed size array of size for example 4 with:

MyType[] array = new MyType[4]

But there's no add method of course.

If you create list with def it's something like creating this instance with Object (You can read more about def here). And [] creates empty ArrayList in this case.

I got this problem and it turns out that JBossDevStudio 9.1 on Windows is a 32-bit program. Eclipse, and thus the JBossDevStudio, does not work with the wrong type of JVM. 64-bit eclipse needs a 64-bit JVM, 32-bit eclipse needs a 32-bit JVM. Thus configuring Eclipse to run with my installed 64-bit JDK did not work.

Installing a 32 bit JDK and running Eclipse from that solved the problem.

At least for one of my projects, an other where I had tried to configure a runtime JDK in the Eclipse project properties is still broken.

T-SQL CASE Clause: How to specify WHEN NULL

The issue is that NULL is not considered to be equal to anything even not to itself, but the strange part is that is also not not equal to itself.

Consider the following statements (which is BTW illegal in SQL Server T-SQL but is valid in My-SQL, however this is what ANSI defines for null, and can be verified even in SQL Server by using case statements etc.)

SELECT NULL = NULL -- Results in NULL

SELECT NULL <> NULL -- Results in NULL

So there is no true/false answer to the question, instead the answer is also null.

This has many implications, for example in

  1. CASE statements, in which any null value will always use the ELSE clause unless you use explicitly the WHEN IS NULL condition (NOT the WHEN NULL condition )
  2. String concatenation, as
    SELECT a + NULL -- Results in NULL
  3. In a WHERE IN or WHERE NOT IN clause, as if you want correct results make sure in the correlated sub-query to filter out any null values.

One can override this behavior in SQL Server by specifying SET ANSI_NULLS OFF, however this is NOT recommended and should not be done as it can cause many issues, simply because deviation of the standard.

(As a side note, in My-SQL there is an option to use a special operator <=> for null comparison.)

In comparison, in general programming languages null is treated is a regular value and is equal to itself, however the is the NAN value which is also not equal to itself, but at least it returns 'false' when comparing it to itself, (and when checking for not equals different programming languages have different implementations).

Note however that in the Basic languages (i.e. VB etc.) there is no 'null' keyword and instead one uses the 'Nothing' keyword, which cannot be used in direct comparison and instead one needs to use 'IS' as in SQL, however it is in fact equal to itself (when using indirect comparisons).

'git status' shows changed files, but 'git diff' doesn't

I ran into this problem. My case was similar to the LESS issue posted by rcwxok.

In my case, I set the PAGER environment variable to PAGER='less -RSF'.

However, unlike the previous answers, I didn't want to remove the -F option, because I explicitly put it there hoping to prevent showing the diff in less if it's shorter than a screenful.

To get the desired result, instead of removing -F, I added -X: PAGER='less -RSFX'. This both solved the git diff issue and in addition it prevents showing short diffs with less.

Use sudo with password as parameter

One option is to use the -A flag to sudo. This runs a program to ask for the password. Rather than ask, you could have a script that just spits out the password so the program can continue.

You can kill processes by name with killall <name>

killall sends a signal to all processes running any of the specified commands. If no signal name is specified, SIGTERM is sent.

If the command name is not regular expression (option -r) and contains a slash (/), processes executing that particular file will be selected for killing, independent of their name.

But if you don't see the process with ps aux, you probably won't have the right to kill it ...

I'm not aware of anything like a single table that lets you compare all of them in at one glance (I'm not sure such a table would even be feasible).

It's an attribute wildcard selector. In the sample you've given, it looks for any child element under .show-grid that has a class that CONTAINS span.

I don't know how well you know C pointers, but array access in C (like array[2]) is actually a shorthand for accessing memory via a pointer. To access the memory pointed to by data, you write *data. This is known as dereferencing the pointer. Since data is of type int *, then *data is of type int. Now to an important piece of information: (data + 2) means "add the byte size of 2 ints to the adress pointed to by data".

An array in C is just a sequence of values in adjacent memory. array[1] is just next to array[0]. So when we allocate a big block of memory and want to use it as an array, we need an easy way of getting the direct adress to every element inside. Luckily, C lets us use the array notation on pointers as well. data[0] means the same thing as *(data+0), namely "access the memory pointed to by data". data[2] means *(data+2), and accesses the third int in the memory block.

Wanted to share what caused the error in my case. Spend couple hours to figure this out, so hopefully it will help to save someone some time.

Strangely enough, the error was raised with the Enable drop directory quota setting being enabled for the domain.

coonstructors are called automatically when you create a new object, thereby "constructing" the object. The reason you can have more than one init is because names are just references in python, and you are allowed to change what each variable references whenever you want (hence dynamic typing)

This assigns the result of the command in backticks to the variable x. (i.e. it's not particular to tr but is a common pattern/solution for shell scripting)

You can use $(..) instead of the backticks. See here for more info.

C free(): invalid pointer

You're attempting to free something that isn't a pointer to a "freeable" memory address. Just because something is an address doesn't mean that you need to or should free it.

There are two main types of memory you seem to be confusing - stack memory and heap memory.

  • Stack memory lives in the live span of the function. It's temporary space for things that shouldn't grow too big. When you call the function main, it sets aside some memory for your variables you've declared (p,token, and so on).

  • Heap memory lives from when you malloc it to when you free it. You can use much more heap memory than you can stack memory. You also need to keep track of it - it's not easy like stack memory!

You have a few errors:

  • You're trying to free memory that's not heap memory. Don't do that.

  • You're trying to free the inside of a block of memory. When you have in fact allocated a block of memory, you can only free it from the pointer returned by malloc. That is to say, only from the beginning of the block. You can't free a portion of the block from the inside.

For your bit of code here, you probably want to find a way to copy relevant portion of memory to somewhere else...say another block of memory you've set aside. Or you can modify the original string if you want (hint: char value 0 is the null terminator and tells functions like printf to stop reading the string).

EDIT: The malloc function does allocate heap memory*.

When you find yourself working on something like an AVR microcontroller as H2CO3 has, it is definitely worthwhile to note all the differences, which from my own experience with embedded systems, extend well past memory allocation.

Update built-in vim on Mac OS X

Don't overwrite the built-in Vim.

Instead, install it from source in a different location or via Homebrew or MacPorts in their default location then add this line to your .bashrc or .profile:

alias vim='/path/to/your/own/vim'

and/or change your $PATH so that it looks into its location before the default location.

The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to simply download the latest MacVim which comes with a very complete vim executable and use it in Terminal.app like so.

ReDim Preserve to a Multi-Dimensional Array in Visual Basic 6

I stumbled across this question while hitting this road block myself. I ended up writing a piece of code real quick to handle this ReDim Preserve on a new sized array (first or last dimension). Maybe it will help others who face the same issue.

So for the usage, lets say you have your array originally set as MyArray(3,5), and you want to make the dimensions (first too!) larger, lets just say to MyArray(10,20). You would be used to doing something like this right?

 ReDim Preserve MyArray(10,20) '<-- Returns Error

But unfortunately that returns an error because you tried to change the size of the first dimension. So with my function, you would just do something like this instead:

 MyArray = ReDimPreserve(MyArray,10,20)

Now the array is larger, and the data is preserved. Your ReDim Preserve for a Multi-Dimension array is complete. :)

And last but not least, the miraculous function: ReDimPreserve()

As you have found out, any locally installed binaries are in ./node_modules/.bin. In order to always run binaries in this directory rather than globally available binaries, if present, I suggest you put ./node_modules/.bin first in your path:

If you put this in your ~/.profile, coffee will always be ./node_modules/.bin/coffee if available, otherwise /usr/local/bin/coffee (or whatever prefix you are installing node modules under).

How can I replace text with CSS?

I had an issue where I had to replace the text of link, but I couldn't use JavaScript nor could I directly change the text of a hyperlink as it was compiled down from XML. Also, I couldn't use pseudo elements, or they didn't seem to work when I had tried them.

Basically, I put the text I wanted into a span and put the anchor tag underneath it and wrapped both in a div. I basically moved the anchor tag up via CSS and then made the font transparent. Now when you hover over the span, it "acts" like a link. A really hacky way of doing this, but this is how you can have a link with different text...

The CSS will need to change based off your requirements, but this is a general way of doing what you are asking.

To really get this clear, here's my for-beginners answer: You inputed the arguments in the wrong order.
A keyword argument has this style:

nullable=True, unique=False

A fixed parameter should be defined: True, False, etc. A non-keyword argument is different:

name="Ricardo", fruit="chontaduro" 

This syntax error asks you to first put name="Ricardo" and all of its kind (non-keyword) before those like nullable=True.
