For the future googlers: use RingtoneManager.getActualDefaultRingtoneUri() instead of RingtoneManager.getDefaultUri(). According to its name, it would return the actual uri, so you can freely use it. From documentation of getActualDefaultRingtoneUri():

Gets the current default sound's Uri. This will give the actual sound Uri, instead of using this, most clients can use DEFAULT_RINGTONE_URI.

Meanwhile getDefaultUri() says this:

Returns the Uri for the default ringtone of a particular type. Rather than returning the actual ringtone's sound Uri, this will return the symbolic Uri which will resolved to the actual sound when played.

As the warning message states, the SDK location should not contain whitespace.

Your SDK is at C:\Users\Giacomo B\AppData\Local\Android\sdk. There is a whitespace character in Giacomo B.

The easiest solution is to move the SDK somewhere else, where there is no space or other whitespace character in the path, such as C:\Android\sdk. You can point both Android Studio installations to the new location.

The content of end is printed after the thing you want to print. By default it contains a newline ("\n") but it can be changed to something else, like an empty string.

While you have a return value in checkform, it isn't being used anywhere - try using onclick="return checkform()" instead.

There is no built-in oncontextmenu event handler in jQuery, but you can do something like this:

I did some mock testing to record the difference between save() and persist().

Sounds like both these methods behaves same when dealing with Transient Entity but differ when dealing with Detached Entity.

For the below example, take EmployeeVehicle as an Entity with PK as vehicleId which is a generated value and vehicleName as one of its properties.

Example 1 : Dealing with Transient Object

So, it is always better to use Persist() rather than Save() as save has to be carefully used when dealing with Transient object .

Important Note : In the above example , the pk of vehicle entity is a generated value , so when using save() to persist a detached entity , hibernate generates a new id to persist . However if this pk is not a generated value than it is result in a exception stating key violated.

Two Solutions:

1. Make Sure if you have some binding variables then move that code to settimeout( { }, 0);
2. Move your related code to ngAfterViewInit method

I just had to Clean my project and then it built successfully afterwards.

The key take away here is that the variable number of named arguments in the call translate into a dictionary in the function.

Document.ready (a jQuery event) will fire when all the elements are in place, and they can be referenced in the JavaScript code, but the content is not necessarily loaded. Document.ready executes when the HTML document is loaded.

That's exactly how you use it. There is a possibility that the address you have does not correspond to something directly in your source code though.

0x400534 is the address of main in my case. 0x400408 is also a valid function address in a.out, but it's a piece of code generated/imported by GCC, that has no debug info. (In this case, __libc_csu_init. You can see the layout of your executable with readelf -a your_exe.)

Other times when addr2line will fail is if you're including a library that has no debug information.

I had a problem like this before, it was the gradle.properties file doesn't exist, only the gradle.properties.txt , so i went to my project folder and i copied & pasted the gradle.properties.txt file but without .txt extension then it finally worked.

Try to replace your initialization code with:

Don't. Attribute access and indexing are separate things in Python, and you shouldn't want them to perform the same. Make a class (possibly one made by namedtuple) if you have something that should have accessible attributes and use [] notation to get an item from a dict.

<br> seems to be the best and only way that currently works on the app version to create a new line break. I have tried it successfully in a review, as well as unsuccessfully tried all other Unicode/HTML newline-related characters that the Wikipedia page for newlines would tell me. I used <br> with | immediately on either side, using no closing tag, and it magically created a single line break without revealing the source or screwing anything up.

TLDR: <br> lets you successfully utilize single line breaks in Google Play app -- unlike everything else I tried (a lot).

In bash version 4 associative arrays were introduced.

The arr array now contains the three key value pairs. Bash is fairly limited what you can do with them though, no sorting or popping etc.

First of all, it's actually not accurate to say that

x % 2 == x & 1

Simple counterexample: x = -1. In many languages, including Java, -1 % 2 == -1. That is, % is not necessarily the traditional mathematical definition of modulo. Java calls it the "remainder operator", for example.

With regards to bitwise optimization, only modulo powers of two can "easily" be done in bitwise arithmetics. Generally speaking, only modulo powers of base b can "easily" be done with base b representation of numbers.

In base 10, for example, for non-negative N, N mod 10^k is just taking the least significant k digits.

The thing you are missing is that T and interface{} which holds a value of T have different representations in memory so can't be trivially converted.

A variable of type T is just its value in memory. There is no associated type information (in Go every variable has a single type known at compile time not at run time). It is represented in memory like this:

• value

An interface{} holding a variable of type T is represented in memory like this

• pointer to type T
• value

So coming back to your original question: why go does't implicitly convert []T to []interface{}?

Converting []T to []interface{} would involve creating a new slice of interface {} values which is a non-trivial operation since the in-memory layout is completely different.

I'm not sure if you meant to include scripting languages, but I've seen TCL (which is also annoying), but... the mIRC scripting language annoys me to no end.

Because of some oversight in the parsing, it's whitespace significant when it's not supposed to be. Conditional statements will sometimes be executed when they're supposed to be skipped because of this. Opening a block statement cannot be done on a separate line, etc.

Other than that it's just full of messy, inconsistent syntax that was probably designed that way to make very basic stuff easy, but at the same time makes anything a little more complex barely readable.

Best Practice for Unique Device Identifier

If you just require a unique identifier, it's best to avoid using hardware identifiers as Google continuously tries to make it harder to access them for privacy reasons. You could just generate a UUID.randomUUID().toString(); and save it the first time it needs to be accessed in e.g. shared preferences. Alternatively you could use ANDROID_ID which is a 8 byte long hex string unique to the device, user and (only Android 8+) app installation. Which means that visiting this page will result in backing up your file... of course it doesn't have to be that way :) you can call this method on every post to your database to be up to date all the time, however, I would recommend to write it to one file at all the time instead of creating new files with time()... as it is above.

The problem, as the error message suggests, is that you have constraints of type NSAutoresizingMaskLayoutConstraints that conflict with your explicit constraints, because new_view.translatesAutoresizingMaskIntoConstraints is set to true.

This is the default setting for views you create in code. You can turn it off like this:

The error occurs when hash(#) is removed or messed around with. These two lines should appear as shown above.

Once I had this "simple" task and I used (new Date()).getTimezoneOffset() - the approach that is widely suggested here. But it turned out that the solution wasn't quite right. For some undocumented reasons in my case new Date() was returning GMT+0200 when new Date(0) was returning GMT+0300 which was right. Since then I always use

(new Date(0)).getTimezoneOffset() to get a correct timeshift.

• The first is c++ lib dependent as it accesses members of std::string, but is easily adjusted.

requests does not handle parsing XML responses, no. XML responses are much more complex in nature than JSON responses, how you'd serialize XML data into Python structures is not nearly as straightforward.

Answer to your question is NO.

Correct is MyString[position of character]. For your case MyString[0], 0 is the FIRST character of any string.

A character value is designated with ' (single quote), like this x character value is written as 'x'.

A string value is designated with " ( double quote), like this x string value is written as "x".

So Substring() method is also does not return a character, Substring() method returns a string!!!

A string is an array of characters, and last character must be '\0' (null) character. Thats the difference between character array and string ( which is an array of characters with last character as "end of string marker" '\0' null.

And also notice that 'x' IS NOT EQUAL to "x". Because "x" is actually 'x'+'\0'.

I think the Class on img tag is better when You use the same style in different structure on Your site. You have to decide when you write less line of CSS code and HTML is more readable.

As others have pointed out you are looking for std::numeric_limits<double>::quiet_NaN() although I have to say I prefer the cppreference.com documents. Especially because this statement is a little vague:

Only meaningful if std::numeric_limits::has_quiet_NaN == true.

and it was simple to figure out what this means on this site, if you check their section on std::numeric_limits::has_quiet_NaN it says:

This constant is meaningful for all floating-point types and is guaranteed to be true if std::numeric_limits::is_iec559 == true.

which as explained here if true means your platform supports IEEE 754 standard. This previous thread explains this should be true for most situations.

If the cell contains "AwesomeData" then we will try and create a file in the current users desktop called AwesomeData.pdf. If that already exists then try AwesomeData2.pdf and so on. In your code you could just replace the lines filename = Application..... with filename = GetFileName(Range("A1"))

Where is your code located in reference to everything else? Perhaps you need to make a module if you have not already and move your existing code into there.

You can also use map:

There are new methods added to java.util.Arrays to convert an array into a Java 8 stream which can then be used for summing etc.

Multiplying two arrays is a little more difficult because I can't think of a way to get the value AND the index at the same time as a Stream operation. This means you probably have to stream over the indexes of the array.

I'm pretty sure you should go with bar(); because with foo(); it creates a List (for nothing) since you create a new File[0] in the end anyway, so why not go with directly returning it!

While there are IPv6 equivalents for the IPv4 address range, you can't convert all IPv6 addresses to IPv4 - there are more IPv6 addresses than there are IPv4 addresses.

The only sane way around this issue is to update your application to be able to understand and store IPv6 addresses.

First off, you have to specify you wish to use Document Literal style:

• string.Join and foreach are both better than this, vastly slower, approach

I just add here something related. I was wanted to access a vector with backend indices, ie writting something like tail(x, i) but to return x[length(x) - i + 1] and not the whole tail.

Although the reference implementation of reStructuredText is written in Python, there are reStructuredText parsers in other languages too.

Python - Docutils

The main distribution of reStructuredText is the Python Docutils package. It contains several conversion tools:

• rst2html - from reStructuredText to HTML
• rst2xml - from reStructuredText to XML
• rst2latex - from reStructuredText to LaTeX
• rst2odt - from reStructuredText to ODF Text (word processor) document.
• rst2s5 - from reStructuredText to S5, a Simple Standards-based Slide Show System
• rst2man - from reStructuredText to Man page

Haskell - Pandoc

Pandoc is a Haskell library for converting from one markup format to another, and a command-line tool that uses this library. It can read Markdown and (subsets of) reStructuredText, HTML, and LaTeX, and it can write Markdown, reStructuredText, HTML, LaTeX, ConTeXt, PDF, RTF, DocBook XML, OpenDocument XML, ODT, GNU Texinfo, MediaWiki markup, groff man pages, and S5 HTML slide shows.

There is an Pandoc online tool (POT) to try this library. Unfortunately, compared to the reStructuredText online renderer (ROR),

• POT truncates input rather more shortly. The POT user must render input in chunks that could be rendered whole by the ROR.
• POT output lacks the helpful error messages displayed by the ROR (and generated by docutils)

Java - JRst

JRst is a Java reStructuredText parser. It can currently output HTML, XHTML, DocBook xdoc and PDF, BUT seems to have serious problems: neither PDF or (X)HTML generation works using the current full download, result pages in (X)HTML are empty and PDF generation fails on IO problems with XSL files (not bundled??). Note that the original JRst has been removed from the website; a fork is found on GitHub.

Scala - Laika

Laika is a new library for transforming markup languages to other output formats. Currently it supports input from Markdown and reStructuredText and produce HTML output. The library is written in Scala but should be also usable from Java.

Perl

• Text::Restructured - Perl implementation of reStructuredText parser
• Dotiac::DTL::Addon::markup - Filters to work with common markup languages - support reStructuredText
• Pod::POM::View::Restructured - View for Pod::POM that outputs reStructuredText

PHP

• Gregwar/RST - A mature PHP5.3 parser with tests
• php-restructuredtext - A simple, incomplete (but functional) implementation

C#/.NET

• reStructuredText for ANTLR - A C# based parser with tests (in progress). It also provides the language server behind reStructuredText extension for Visual Studio Code.

Nim/C

The Nim compiler features the commands rst2htmland rst2tex which transform reStructuredText files to HTML and TeX files. The standard library provides the following modules (used by the compiler) to handle reStructuredText files programmatically:

• rst - implements a reStructuredText parser
• rstast - implements an AST for the reStructuredText parser
• rstgen - implements a generator of HTML/Latex from reStructuredText

Leo

Leo, an outlining editor for programmers, supports reStructuredText via rst-plugin or via "@auto-rst" nodes (it's not well-documented, but @auto-rst nodes allow editing rst files directly, parsing the structure into the Leo outline).

It also provides a way to preview the resulting HTML, in a "viewrendered" pane.

FTE

The FTE Folding Text Editor - a free (licensed under the GNU GPL) text editor for developers. FTE has a mode for reStructuredText support. It provides color highlighting of basic RSTX elements and special menu that provide easy way to insert most popular RSTX elements to a document.

PyK

PyK is a successor of PyEdit and reStInPeace, written in Python with the help of the Qt4 toolkit.

Eclipse

The Eclipse IDE with the ReST Editor plug-in provides support for editing reStructuredText files.

NoTex

NoTex is a browser based (general purpose) text editor, with integrated project management and syntax highlighting. Plus it enables to write books, reports, articles etc. using rST and convert them to LaTex, PDF or HTML. The PDF files are of high publication quality and are produced via Sphinx with the Texlive LaTex suite.

Notepad++

Notepad++ is a general purpose text editor for Windows. It has syntax highlighting for many languages built-in and support for reStructuredText via a user defined language for reStructuredText.

Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code is a general purpose text editor for Windows/macOS/Linux. It has syntax highlighting for many languages built-in and supports reStructuredText via an extension from LeXtudio.

Versions 2 and 3 (currently in beta) support reStructuredText syntax highlighting by default, and several plugins are available through the package manager Package Control to provide snippets and code completion, additional syntax highlighting, conversion to/from RST and other formats, and HTML preview in the browser.

BBEdit / TextWrangler

BBEdit (and its free variant TextWrangler) for Mac can syntax-highlight reStructuredText using this codeless language module.

TextMate

TextMate, a proprietary general-purpose GUI text editor for Mac OS X, has a bundle for reStructuredText.

Intype

Intype is a proprietary text editor for Windows, that support reStructuredText out of the box.

E Text Editor

E is a proprietary Text Editor licensed under the "Open Company License". It supports TextMate's bundles, so it should support reStructuredText the same way TextMate does.

rstiki

rstiki is a minimalist single-file personal wiki using reStructuredText syntax (via docutils) inspired by pwyky. It does not support authorship indication, versioning, hierarchy, chrome/framing/templating or styling. It leverages docutils/reStructuredText as the wiki syntax. As such, it's under 200 lines of code, and in a single file. You put it in a directory and it runs.

ikiwiki

Ikiwiki is a wiki compiler. It converts wiki pages into HTML pages suitable for publishing on a website. Ikiwiki stores pages and history in a revision control system such as Subversion or Git. There are many other features, including support for blogging, as well as a large array of plugins. It's reStructuredText plugin, however is somewhat limited and is not recommended as its' main markup language at this time.

How I solved it was to insert calls to functions within my stateChange function. The page I had setup was 3 buttons that would load 3 different pages into the contentArea. Because I had to know which button was being pressed to load page 1, 2 or 3, I could easily use if/else statements to determine which page is being loaded and then which function to run. What I was trying to do was register different button listeners that would only work when the specific page was loaded because of element IDs..

so...

then the same for page 2 or 3.

I think what you want is mapply. You could apply the function to all columns, and then just drop the columns you don't want. However, if you are applying different functions to different columns, it seems likely what you want is mutate, from the dplyr package.

There are two options here.

1. a hidden field within the form, or
2. Add it to the route values parameter in the begin form method.

I did what Bob Murphy suggested was the "hard" option.

I installed Ubuntu under VMWare Server (free) at work and then followed this guide on setting up Gitosis. I found it much easier than trying to get it going under Windows. Once it's set up you really don't have to touch it because Gitosis administration can be done from Windows by pushing updated versions of the gitosis.conf file. Any work I do need to do on the server directly is done via PuTTY so I don't have to use the horrible VMWare Server interface.

I've recently been messing around with VirtualBox at home and I've found it much nicer/easier to work with than VMWare Server, so it may be worth looking at that.

Browsers can't handle that many arguments. See this snippet for example:

In eclipse try to go to file properties (Alt+Enter) and change the Resource → 'Text File encoding' → Other to UTF-8. Reopen the file and check there will be junk character somewhere in the string/file. Remove it. Save the file.

Compile and deploy the code.

Checking "Removable drives" and "Network drives" worked for me.

The .join() function is using the index of the passed as argument dataset, so you should use set_index or use .merge function instead.

Please find the two examples that should work in your case:

You can use both with relatively few issues. Twitter Bootstrap uses jQuery 1.7.1 (as of this writing), and I can't think of any reasons why you cannot integrate additional Jquery UI components into your HTML templates.

The use of LESS in Twitter Bootstrap is also optional. They use LESS to compile all the CSS that is used by Bootstrap, but if you just want to override or add your own styles, they provide an empty css file for that purpose.

There is also a blank js file (script.js) for you to add custom code. This is where you would add your handlers or selectors for additional jQueryUI components.

Whilst this an old question, I ran into this problem myself recently and some of the answers here are now deprecated (as the comments point out). So for the benefit of others who may have stumbled here:

A term query can be used to find the exact term specified in the reverse index:

One gotcha to be aware of (which caught me out) - how you define the document also makes a difference. If the field you're searching in has been indexed as a text type then Elasticsearch will perform a full text search (i.e using an analyzed string).

If you've indexed the field as a keyword then a keyword search using a 'non-analyzed' string is performed. This can have a massive practical impact as Analyzed strings are pre-processed (lowercased, punctuation dropped etc.) See (https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/guide/master/term-vs-full-text.html)

To avoid these issues, the string field has split into two new types: text, which should be used for full-text search, and keyword, which should be used for keyword search. (https://www.elastic.co/blog/strings-are-dead-long-live-strings)

Lookarounds can be nested.

So this regex matches "drupal-6.14/" that is not followed by "sites" that is not followed by "/all" or "/default".

Confusing? Using different words, we can say it matches "drupal-6.14/" that is not followed by "sites" unless that is further followed by "/all" or "/default"

You could use both LTRIM and RTRIM.

If you want to trim CHR(13) only when it comes with a CHR(10) it gets more complicated. Firstly, translated the combined string to a single character. Then LTRIM/RTRIM that character, then replace the single character back to the combined string.

If the script always outputs lines of 10 characters followed by 3 extra (in other words, you just want the first 10 characters), you can use

There is a workaround to solve this problem by using a derived table.

Because the LIMIT is inside the derived table the join will match only 1 row and thus the query will delete only this row.

In your build.gradle, if you have minifyEnabled for debug, remove it. I had it in my project and it took ~2-3 minutes to build. After looking at build progress, I found this as culprit, so deleting the commented line below, my issue was fixed.

How to change commits deeper in history

Since history in Git is immutable, fixing anything but the most recent commit (commit which is not branch head) requires that the history is rewritten from the changed commit and forward.

You can use StGIT for that, initialize branch if necessary, uncommitting up to the commit you want to change, pop to it if necessary, make a change then refresh patch (with -e option if you want to correct commit message), then push everything and stg commit.

Or you can use rebase to do that. Create new temporary branch, rewind it to the commit you want to change using git reset --hard, change that commit (it would be top of current head), then rebase branch on top of changed commit, using git rebase --onto .

Or you can use git rebase --interactive, which allows various modifications like patch re-ordering, collapsing, ...

I think that should answer your question. However, note that if you have pushed code to a remote repository and people have pulled from it, then this is going to mess up their code histories, as well as the work they've done. So do it carefully.

According to the React Documentation it's perfectly OK to call setState() from within the componentDidMount() function.

It will cause render() to be called twice, which is less efficient than only calling it once, but other than that it's perfectly fine.

In iPython 3.0.0, the inline backend needs to be configured in ipython_kernel_config.py. You need to manually add the c.InlineBackend.rc... line (as mentioned in Greg's answer). This will affect both the inline backend in the Qt console and the notebook.

As a different font is likely to be already defined by the browser for form elements, here are 2 ways to use this font everywhere:

There'll still have a monospace font on elements like pre/code, kbd, etc but, in case you use these elements, you'd better use a monospace font there.

Important note: if very few people has this font installed on their OS, then the second font in the list will be used. Here you defined no second font so the default serif font will be used, and it'll be Times, Times New Roman except maybe on Linux.
Two options there: use @font-face if your font is free of use as a downloadable font or add fallback(s): a second, a third, etc and finally a default family (sans-serif, cursive (*), monospace or serif). The first of the list that exists on the OS of the user will be used.

You have to grant the Superuser right to the shell app (com.anroid.shell). In my case, I use Magisk to root my phone Nexsus 6P (Oreo 8.1). So I can grant Superuser right in the Magisk Manager app, whih is in the left upper option menu.

Try to run Your XAMPP Control Panel as Run as administrator, then install Apache and MySQL.

If you're not using Homebrew, this is what I just did on MAC OS X Lion (10.7.5):

1. Get the latest version of the ZSH sourcecode

2. Untar the download into its own directory then install: ./configure && make && make test && sudo make install

3. This installs the the zsh binary at /usr/local/bin/zsh.

4. You can now use the shell by loading up a new terminal and executing the binary directly, but you'll want to make it your default shell...

This was always the question I had when I was working on one of my application which created massive number of threads per request.

So this is a really good question and there are two aspects of this:
1. Whether my Xms and Xmx value should be same
       - Most websites and even oracle docs suggest it to be the same. However, I suggest to have some 10-20% of buffer between those values to give heap resizing an option to your application in case sudden high traffic spikes OR a incidental memory leak.

2. Whether I should start my Application with lower heap size
       - So here's the thing - no matter what GC Algo you use (even G1), large heap always has some trade off. The goal is to identify the behavior of your application to what heap size you can allow your GC pauses in terms of latency and throughput.
              - For example, if your application has lot of threads (each thread has 1 MB stack in native memory and not in heap) but does not occupy heavy object space, then I suggest have a lower value of Xms.
              - If your application creates lot of objects with increasing number of threads, then identify to what value of Xms you can set to tolerate those STW pauses. This means identify the max response time of your incoming requests you can tolerate and according tune the minimum heap size.

Filezilla just released a Pro version of their FTP client. It connects to S3 buckets in a streamlined FTP like experience. I use it myself (no affiliation whatsoever) and it works great.

If you have a package-lock.json file, you may have to delete that file then run npm i. That worked for me

This is just a possible scenario which happened to me. Well if it helps someone then great: I wrote a complicated app which somewhere along the code I used a function to clear all textboxes values before showing them. Sometime later I tried to set a textbox value using jquery val('value') but I did'nt notice that right after that I invoked the ClearAllInputs method.. so, this could also happen.

I found that I also had to set the Access Modifier in the Resources tab to 'Public' - by default it was set to Internal and my icon only appeared in design mode but not when I ran the application.

Looks like the answer is that, as of now, you can't.

I did the below from the Views codebehind to set my property within the view model. Not sure if it really " breaks" the MVVM pattern but its the best and least complexe solution found.

  var data = this.DataContext as DBSelectionViewModel;

        data.PassKey = txtPassKey.Password;
