Non-static method requires a target
I face this error on testing WebAPI in Postman tool.
After building the code, If we remove any line (For Example: In my case when I remove one Commented line this error was occur...) in debugging mode then the "Non-static method requires a target" error will occur.
Again, I tried to send the same request. This time code working properly. And I get the response properly in Postman.
I hope it will use to someone...

I got the same error whilst using Excel 2003 DLLs and trying to write to the 257th column. Excel 2003 limits maximum column per worksheet to 256, thus raising this exception.

Are you absolutely sure this can't be done through inheritance? Reflection is the very last thing you should look at when solving a problem, it makes refactoring, understanding your code, and any automated analysis more difficult.
It looks like you should just have a DrawItem1, DrawItem2, etc class that override your dynMethod.
How do I import the javax.servlet API in my Eclipse project?
Ensure you've the right Eclipse and Server
Ensure that you're using at least Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java developers (with the Enterprise). It contains development tools to create dynamic web projects and easily integrate servletcontainers (those tools are part of Web Tools Platform, WTP). In case you already had Eclipse IDE for Java (without Enterprise), and manually installed some related plugins, then chances are that it wasn't done properly. You'd best trash it and grab the real Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java one.
You also need to ensure that you already have a servletcontainer installed on your machine which implements at least the same Servlet API version as the servletcontainer in the production environment, for example Apache Tomcat, Oracle GlassFish, JBoss AS/WildFly, etc. Usually, just downloading the ZIP file and extracting it is sufficient. In case of Tomcat, do not download the EXE format, that's only for Windows based production environments. See also a.o. Several ports (8005, 8080, 8009) required by Tomcat Server at localhost are already in use.
A servletcontainer is a concrete implementation of the Servlet API. Note that the Java EE SDK download at Oracle.com basically contains GlassFish. So if you happen to already have downloaded Java EE SDK, then you basically already have GlassFish. Also note that for example GlassFish and JBoss AS/WildFly are more than just a servletcontainer, they also supports JSF, EJB, JPA and all other Java EE fanciness. See also a.o. Integrate Server in Eclipse and associate it with Project
Once having installed both Eclipse for Enterprise Java and a servletcontainer on your machine, do the following steps in Eclipse:
Integrate servletcontainer in Eclipse
a. Via Servers view
Open the Servers view in the bottom box.
Rightclick there and choose New > Server.
Pick the appropriate servletcontainer make and version and walk through the wizard.
b. Or, via Eclipse preferences
Open Window > Preferences > Server > Runtime Environments.
You can Add, Edit and Remove servers here.
Associate server with project
a. In new project
Open the Project Navigator/Explorer on the left hand side.
Rightclick there and choose New > Project and then in menu Web > Dynamic Web Project.
In the wizard, set the Target Runtime to the integrated server.
b. Or, in existing project
Rightclick project and choose Properties.
In Targeted Runtimes section, select the integrated server.
Either way, Eclipse will then automatically take the servletcontainer's libraries in the build path. This way you'll be able to import and use the Servlet API.
Never carry around loose server-specific JAR files
You should in any case not have the need to fiddle around in the Build Path property of the project. You should above all never manually copy/download/move/include the individual servletcontainer-specific libraries like servlet-api.jar, jsp-api.jar, el-api.jar, j2ee.jar, javaee.jar, etc. It would only lead to future portability, compatibility, classpath and maintainability troubles, because your webapp would not work when it's deployed to a servletcontainer of a different make/version than where those libraries are originally obtained from.
In case you're using Maven, you need to make absolutely sure that servletcontainer-specific libraries which are already provided by the target runtime are marked as <scope>provided</scope>.
Here are some typical exceptions which you can get when you litter the /WEB-INF/lib or even /JRE/lib, /JRE/lib/ext, etc with servletcontainer-specific libraries in a careless attempt to fix the compilation errors:
- java.lang.NullPointerException at org.apache.jsp.index_jsp._jspInit
- java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/el/ELResolver
- java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: IS_DIR

Find which commit is currently checked out in Git
You have at least 5 different ways to view the commit you currently have checked out into your working copy during a git bisect session (note that options 1-4 will also work when you're not doing a bisect):
git show.git log -1.- Bash prompt.
git status.git bisect visualize.
I'll explain each option in detail below.
Option 1: git show
As explained in this answer to the general question of how to determine which commit you currently have checked-out (not just during git bisect), you can use git show with the -s option to suppress patch output:

Option 2: git log -1
You can also simply do git log -1 to find out which commit you're currently on.

Option 3: Bash prompt
In Git version 1.8.3+ (or was it an earlier version?), if you have your Bash prompt configured to show the current branch you have checked out into your working copy, then it will also show you the current commit you have checked out during a bisect session or when you're in a "detached HEAD" state. In the example below, I currently have c1abcde checked out:

Does dispatch_async(dispatch_get_main_queue(), ^{...}); wait until done?
Your proposed doCalculationsAndUpdateUIs does data processing and dispatches UI updates to the main queue. I presume that you have dispatched doCalculationsAndUpdateUIs to a background queue when you first called it.
While technically fine, that's a little fragile, contingent upon your remembering to dispatch it to the background every time you call it: I would, instead, suggest that you do your dispatch to the background and dispatch back to the main queue from within the same method, as it makes the logic unambiguous and more robust, etc.
Thus it might look like:

In terms of whether you dispatch your UI updates asynchronously with dispatch_async (where the background process will not wait for the UI update) or synchronously with dispatch_sync (where it will wait for the UI update), the question is why would you want to do it synchronously: Do you really want to slow down the background process as it waits for the UI update, or would you like the background process to carry on while the UI update takes place.
Generally you would dispatch the UI update asynchronously with dispatch_async as you've used in your original question. Yes, there certainly are special circumstances where you need to dispatch code synchronously (e.g. you're synchronizing the updates to some class property by performing all updates to it on the main queue), but more often than not, you just dispatch the UI update asynchronously and carry on. Dispatching code synchronously can cause problems (e.g. deadlocks) if done sloppily, so my general counsel is that you should probably only dispatch UI updates synchronously if there is some compelling need to do so, otherwise you should design your solution so you can dispatch them asynchronously.
In answer to your question as to whether this is the "best way to achieve this", it's hard for us to say without knowing more about the business problem being solved. For example, if you might be calling this doCalculationsAndUpdateUIs multiple times, I might be inclined to use my own serial queue rather than a concurrent global queue, in order to ensure that these don't step over each other. Or if you might need the ability to cancel this doCalculationsAndUpdateUIs when the user dismisses the scene or calls the method again, then I might be inclined to use a operation queue which offers cancelation capabilities. It depends entirely upon what you're trying to achieve.
But, in general, the pattern of asynchronously dispatching a complicated task to a background queue and then asynchronously dispatching the UI update back to the main queue is very common.
Eclipse/Java code completion not working
Maybe this helps other people who come across the same issue.
My setup: old Gradle project (version Gradle 2.12) made by someone else, imported using the Gradle Import Wizard into STS (Eclipse Oxygen.2 (4.7.2)).

It depends on the nature of your application. And, since you did not describe it in great detail, it is an impossible question to answer. I find Backbone to be the easiest, but I work in Angular all day. Performance is more up to the coder than the framework, in my opinion.
Are you doing heavy DOM manipulation? I would use jQuery and Backbone.
Very data driven app? Angular with its nice data binding.
Game programming? None - direct to canvas; maybe a game engine.

I did some benchmarking for speed on these answers and was surprised to see percent in the scales package so touted, given its sluggishness. I imagine the advantage is its automatic detector for for proper formatting, but if you know what your data looks like it seems clear to be avoided.
Here are the results from trying to format a list of 100,000 percentages in (0,1) to a percentage in 2 digits:

I think you want an additional projection that maps each group to a sorted-version of the group:

It also appears like you might want another flattening operation after that which will give you a sequence of students instead of a sequence of groups:

You can always collapse both into a single SelectMany call that does the projection and flattening together.

As Jon Skeet points out, there are certain inefficiencies in the overall query; the information gained from sorting each group is not being used in the ordering of the groups themselves. By moving the sorting of each group to come before the ordering of the groups themselves, the Max query can be dodged into a simpler First query.

Non-numeric Argument to Binary Operator Error in R
Because your question is phrased regarding your error message and not whatever your function is trying to accomplish, I will address the error.
- is the 'binary operator' your error is referencing, and either CurrentDay or MA (or both) are non-numeric.
A binary operation is a calculation that takes two values (operands) and produces another value (see wikipedia for more). + is one such operator: "1 + 1" takes two operands (1 and 1) and produces another value (2). Note that the produced value isn't necessarily different from the operands (e.g., 1 + 0 = 1).
R only knows how to apply + (and other binary operators, such as -) to numeric arguments:

There are multiple classes that are grouped together as "numeric" classes, the 2 most common of which are double (for double precision floating point numbers) and integer. R will automatically convert between the numeric classes when needed, so for the most part it does not matter to the casual user whether the number 3 is currently stored as an integer or as a double. Most math is done using double precision, so that is often the default storage.
Sometimes you may want to specifically store a vector as integers if you know that they will never be converted to doubles (used as ID values or indexing) since integers require less storage space. But if they are going to be used in any math that will convert them to double, then it will probably be quickest to just store them as doubles to begin with.

The issue here is that you've opened a file and read its contents so the cursor is at the end of the file. By writing to the same file handle, you're essentially appending to the file.

Password encryption at client side
I've listed a complete JavaScript for creating an MD5 at the bottom but it's really pointless without a secure connection for several reasons.
If you MD5 the password and store that MD5 in your database then the MD5 is the password. People can tell exactly what's in your database. You've essentially just made the password a longer string but it still isn't secure if that's what you're storing in your database.
If you say, "Well I'll MD5 the MD5" you're missing the point. By looking at the network traffic, or looking in your database, I can spoof your website and send it the MD5. Granted this is a lot harder than just reusing a plain text password but it's still a security hole.
Most of all though you can't salt the hash client side without sending the salt over the 'net unencrypted therefore making the salting pointless. Without a salt or with a known salt I can brute force attack the hash and figure out what the password is.
If you are going to do this kind of thing with unencrypted transmissions you need to use a public key/private key encryption technique. The client encrypts using your public key then you decrypt on your end with your private key then you MD5 the password (using a user unique salt) and store it in your database. Here's a JavaScript GPL public/private key library.

Using a <button> is also more semantic, whereas <div> is very generic. You get the following benefits for free:
- JavaScript is not necessary to submit the form
- Accessibility tools, e.g. screen readers, will (correctly) treat it as a button and not part of the normal text flow
<button type="submit">becomes a "default" button, which means the return key will automatically submit the form. You can't do this with a<div>, you'd have to add a separate keydown handler to the<form>element.
There's one (non-) caveat: a <button> can only have phrasing content, though it's unlikely anyone would need any other type of content when using the element to submit a form.

JPA OneToMany not deleting child
JPA's behaviour is correct (meaning as per the specification): objects aren't deleted simply because you've removed them from a OneToMany collection. There are vendor-specific extensions that do that but native JPA doesn't cater for it.
In part this is because JPA doesn't actually know if it should delete something removed from the collection. In object modeling terms, this is the difference between composition and "aggregation*.
In composition, the child entity has no existence without the parent. A classic example is between House and Room. Delete the House and the Rooms go too.
Aggregation is a looser kind of association and is typified by Course and Student. Delete the Course and the Student still exists (probably in other Courses).
So you need to either use vendor-specific extensions to force this behaviour (if available) or explicitly delete the child AND remove it from the parent's collection.
I'm aware of:
- Hibernate: cascade delete_orphan. See 10.11. Transitive persistence; and
- EclipseLink: calls this "private ownership". See How to Use the @PrivateOwned Annotation.

Guava's math libraries offer two methods that are useful when calculating exact integer powers:
pow(int b, int k) calculates b to the kth the power, and wraps on overflow
checkedPow(int b, int k) is identical except that it throws ArithmeticException on overflow
Personally checkedPow() meets most of my needs for integer exponentiation and is cleaner and safter than using the double versions and rounding, etc. In almost all the places I want a power function, overflow is an error (or impossible, but I want to be told if the impossible ever becomes possible).
If you want get a long result, you can just use the corresponding LongMath methods and pass int arguments.

I recommend, instead, updating the path in the associated script(s) (such as /usr/bin/yum) to point at your previous Python as the interpreter.
Ideally, you want to upgrade yum and its associated scripts so that they are supported by the default Python installed.
If that is not possible, the above is entirely workable and tested.
Change:

It doesn't know it's an array, that's why you have to supply delete[] instead of regular old delete.

Check the XML. It is not a valid xml.
Prolog is the first line with xml version info. It ok not to include it in your xml.
This error is thrown when the parser reads an invalid tag at the start of the document. Normally where the prolog resides.

What is "overhead"?
For a programmer overhead refers to those system resources which are consumed by your code when it's running on a giving platform on a given set of input data. Usually the term is used in the context of comparing different implementations or possible implementations.
For example we might say that a particular approach might incur considerable CPU overhead while another might incur more memory overhead and yet another might weighted to network overhead (and entail an external dependency, for example).
Let's give a specific example: Compute the average (arithmetic mean) of a set of numbers.
The obvious approach is to loop over the inputs, keeping a running total and a count. When the last number is encountered (signaled by "end of file" EOF, or some sentinel value, or some GUI buttom, whatever) then we simply divide the total by the number of inputs and we're done.
This approach incurs almost no overhead in terms of CPU, memory or other resources. (It's a trivial task).
Another possible approach is to "slurp" the input into a list. iterate over the list to calculate the sum, then divide that by the number of valid items from the list.
By comparison this approach might incur arbitrary amounts of memory overhead.
In a particular bad implementation we might perform the sum operation using recursion but without tail-elimination. Now, in addition to the memory overhead for our list we're also introducing stack overhead (which is a different sort of memory and is often a more limited resource than other forms of memory).
Yet another (arguably more absurd) approach would be to post all of the inputs to some SQL table in an RDBMS. Then simply calling the SQL SUM function on that column of that table. This shifts our local memory overhead to some other server, and incurs network overhead and external dependencies on our execution. (Note that the remote server may or may not have any particular memory overhead associated with this task --- it might shove all the values immediately out to storage, for example).
Hypothetically might consider an implementation over some sort of cluster (possibly to make the averaging of trillions of values feasible). In this case any necessary encoding and distribution of the values (mapping them out to the nodes) and the collection/collation of the results (reduction) would count as overhead.
We can also talk about the overhead incurred by factors beyond the programmer's own code. For example compilation of some code for 32 or 64 bit processors might entail greater overhead than one would see for an old 8-bit or 16-bit architecture. This might involve larger memory overhead (alignment issues) or CPU overhead (where the CPU is forced to adjust bit ordering or used non-aligned instructions, etc) or both.
Note that the disk space taken up by your code and it's libraries, etc. is not usually referred to as "overhead" but rather is called "footprint." Also the base memory your program consumes (without regard to any data set that it's processing) is called its "footprint" as well.

The switch statement takes an expression that is only evaluated once. Based on the result, another piece of code is executed.

Depending on what you're trying to achieve, you might be interested in the Command Pattern/Chain-of-responsibility pattern. Applied to your case, each piece of code would be represented by an implementation of a Command. Advantage: Instead of your hardcoded switch statement, hardcoded StartsWith evaluations and hardcoded strings, you'd have lot more flexibility.

request.FILES is a multivalue dictionary like object that keeps the files uploaded through an upload file button. Say in your html code the name of the button (type="file") is "myfile" so "myfile" will be the key in this dictionary. If you uploaded one file, then the value for this key will be only one and if you uploaded multiple files, then you will have multiple values for that specific key. If you use request.FILES['myfile'] you will get the first or last value (I cannot say for sure). This is fine if you only uploaded one file, but if you want to get all files you should do this:

Why am I getting an error "Object literal may only specify known properties"?
As of TypeScript 1.6, properties in object literals that do not have a corresponding property in the type they're being assigned to are flagged as errors.
Usually this error means you have a bug (typically a typo) in your code, or in the definition file. The right fix in this case would be to fix the typo. In the question, the property callbackOnLoactionHash is incorrect and should have been callbackOnLocationHash (note the mis-spelling of "Location").
This change also required some updates in definition files, so you should get the latest version of the .d.ts for any libraries you're using.

There are a few cases where you may have intended to have extra properties in your object. Depending on what you're doing, there are several appropriate fixes
Type-checking only some properties
Sometimes you want to make sure a few things are present and of the correct type, but intend to have extra properties for whatever reason. Type assertions (<T>v or v as T) do not check for extra properties, so you can use them in place of a type annotation:

Some APIs take an object and dynamically iterate over its keys, but have 'special' keys that need to be of a certain type. Adding a string indexer to the type will disable extra property checking

Mac OS X - EnvironmentError: mysql_config not found
I had been debugging this problem forever - 3 hours 17 mins. What particularly annoyed me was that I already had sql installed on my system through prior uni work but pip/pip3 wasn't recognising it. These threads above and many other I scoured the internet for were helpful in eluminating the problem but didn't actually solve things.
ANSWER
Pip is looking for mysql binaries in the Homebrew Directory which is located relative to Macintosh HD @
/usr/local/Cellar/
so I found that this requires you making a few changes
step 1: Download MySql if not already done so https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/
Step 2: Locate it relative to Macintosh HD and cd
/usr/local/mysql/bin
Step 3: Once there open terminal and use a text editor of choice - I'm a neovim guy myself so I typed (doesn't automatically come with Mac... another story for another day)
nvim mysql_config
Step 4: You will see at approx line 112

In Linux, there is different escape sequences for control terminal. For example, there is special escape sequence for erase whole line: \33[2K and for move cursor to previous line: \33[1A. So all you need is to print this every time you need to refresh the line. Here is the code which prints Line 1 (second variant):

Note that the Add method looks if a key is already present. If the key is new, a new list is created, the value is added to the list and the list is added to the dictionary. If the key was already present, the new value is added to the existing list.
Does Python's time.time() return the local or UTC timestamp?
The answer could be neither or both.
neither:
time.time()returns approximately the number of seconds elapsed since the Epoch. The result doesn't depend on timezone so it is neither UTC nor local time. Here's POSIX defintion for "Seconds Since the Epoch".both:
time.time()doesn't require your system's clock to be synchronized so it reflects its value (though it has nothing to do with local timezone). Different computers may get different results at the same time. Why do I always get the same sequence of random numbers with rand()?
To quote from man rand :
The srand() function sets its argument as the seed for a new sequence of pseudo-random integers to be returned by rand(). These sequences are repeatable by calling srand() with the same seed value.
If no seed value is provided, the rand() function is automatically seeded with a value of 1.
So, with no seed value, rand() assumes the seed as 1 (every time in your case) and with the same seed value, rand() will produce the same sequence of numbers.

In my case I was adding the buttons dynamically so my solution required some XML part and some Java part. I had to find and mix solutions from a few different places and thought I will share it here so someone else looking for the similar solution might find it helpful.

When should I use a List vs a LinkedList
The difference between List and LinkedList lies in their underlying implementation. List is array based collection (ArrayList). LinkedList is node-pointer based collection (LinkedListNode). On the API level usage, both of them are pretty much the same since both implement same set of interfaces such as ICollection, IEnumerable, etc.
The key difference comes when performance matter. For example, if you are implementing the list that has heavy "INSERT" operation, LinkedList outperforms List. Since LinkedList can do it in O(1) time, but List may need to expand the size of underlying array. Check your array index to see if it's accessed out of bound.
Once I accessed categories[0]. Later I changed the array name from categories to category but forgot to change the access point--from categories[0] to category[0], thus I also get this error.
JavaScript does a poor debug message. In your case, I reckon probably the access gets out of bound.

There is one trick that can be used.The trick is to append a parameter/string to the file name in the script tag and change it when you file changes.

The browser interprets the whole string as the file path even though what comes after the "?" are parameters. So wat happens now is that next time when you update your file just change the number in the script tag on your website (Example <script src="myfile.js?version=1.0.1"></script>) and each users browser will see the file has changed and grab a new copy.

How to calculate the sentence similarity using word2vec model of gensim with python
This is actually a pretty challenging problem that you are asking. Computing sentence similarity requires building a grammatical model of the sentence, understanding equivalent structures (e.g. "he walked to the store yesterday" and "yesterday, he walked to the store"), finding similarity not just in the pronouns and verbs but also in the proper nouns, finding statistical co-occurences / relationships in lots of real textual examples, etc.
The simplest thing you could try -- though I don't know how well this would perform and it would certainly not give you the optimal results -- would be to first remove all "stop" words (words like "the", "an", etc. that don't add much meaning to the sentence) and then run word2vec on the words in both sentences, sum up the vectors in the one sentence, sum up the vectors in the other sentence, and then find the difference between the sums. By summing them up instead of doing a word-wise difference, you'll at least not be subject to word order. That being said, this will fail in lots of ways and isn't a good solution by any means (though good solutions to this problem almost always involve some amount of NLP, machine learning, and other cleverness).
So, short answer is, no, there's no easy way to do this (at least not to do it well).

For a different approach, I would suggest using the XeTeX or LuaTex system. They allow you to access system fonts (TrueType, OpenType, etc) and set font features. In a typical LaTeX document, you just need to include this in your headers:

WebView and HTML5 <video>
Well, apparently this is just not possible without using a JNI to register a plugin to get the video event. (Personally, I am avoiding JNI's since I really don't want to deal with a mess when Atom-based android tablets come out in the next few months, losing the portability of Java.)
The only real alternative seems to be to create a new web page just for WebView and do video the old-school way with an A HREF link as cited in the Codelark url above.

Create redundant APIs with one API for getting all products and the one above for getting 1 or many. Since you shouldn't show more than 1 page of details to a user for the sake of UX, I believe having more than 1 ID would be useless and purely used for filtering the products.
It might not be that problematic, but you will either have to handle this yourself server side by returning a single entity (by verifying if your response contains one or more) or let clients manage it.

My Opinion
I would suggest using the ID in the path variable when unicity is guarantied when getting this resource's details. For example, the APIs below suggest multiple ways to get the details for a specific resource (assuming a product has a unique ID and a spec for that product has a unique name and you can navigate top down):

/products/{id}/specs/{name}
The moment you need more than 1 resource, I would suggest filtering from a larger collection. For the same example:
/products?ids=
Of course, this is my opinion as it is not imposed.
no debugging symbols found when using gdb
Some Linux distributions don't use the gdb style debugging symbols. (IIRC they prefer dwarf2.)
In general, gcc and gdb will be in sync as to what kind of debugging symbols they use, and forcing a particular style will just cause problems; unless you know that you need something else, use just -g.
Chrome Uncaught Syntax Error: Unexpected Token ILLEGAL
I had the same error when multiline string included new line (\n) characters. Merging all lines into one (thus removing all new line characters) and sending it to a browser used to solve. But was very inconvenient to code.
Often could not understand why this was an issue in Chrome until I came across to a statement which said that the current version of JavaScript engine in Chrome doesn't support multiline strings which are wrapped in single quotes and have new line (\n) characters in them. To make it work, multiline string need to be wrapped in double quotes. Changing my code to this, resolved this issue.
I will try to find a reference to a standard or Chrome doc which proves this. Until then, try this solution and see if works for you as well.

I encountered the same problem with a nexus 5 Android Lollipop 5.0.1:

"Best" can mean a number of different things. Do you mean "easiest," "fastest," "most efficient," "least code," "most readable?"
The most obvious approach is to loop through twice. On the first pass, order the values:

Spring Boot auto-configuration tries to configure beans automatically based on the dependencies added to the classpath. And because we have a JPA dependency (spring-data-starter-jpa) on our classpath, it tries to configure it.
The problem: Spring boot doesn't have the all the info needed to configure the JPA data source i.e. the JDBC connection properties. Solutions:
- provide the JDBC connection properties (best)
- postpone supplying connection properties by excluding some AutoConfig classes (temporary - should be removed eventually)
The above link excludes the DataSourceAutoConfiguration.class with
@SpringBootApplication(exclude={DataSourceAutoConfiguration.class})
But this didn't work for me. I instead, had to exclude 2 AutoConfig classes:

I had the same problem. I tried everything listed on this page. When I re-installed Composer it worked like before. I had a PHP version mismatch that was corrected with a new install establishing the dependencies with the PHP path installed in my system environment variables.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND the composer config -g -- disable-tls true approach.
By the way the way to reverse this is composer config -g -- disable-tls false.

You can concatenate strings using strcat. If you plan on concatenating numbers as strings, you must first use num2str to convert the numbers to strings.
Also, strings can't be stored in a vector or matrix, so f must be defined as a cell array, and must be indexed using { and } (instead of normal round brackets).

It is worth mentioning that it is because you cannot really use the -d/--data option if this is not a POST request. But this is still possible if you use the -G option.
Which means you can do this:

Here it is a bit silly but when you are on the command line and you have a lot of parameters, it is a lot tidier.
I am saying this because cURL commands are usually quite long, so it is worth making it on more than one line escaping the line breaks.

Correct way to delete cookies server-side
At the time of my writing this answer, the accepted answer to this question appears to state that browsers are not required to delete a cookie when receiving a replacement cookie whose Expires value is in the past. That claim is false. Setting Expires to be in the past is the standard, spec-compliant way of deleting a cookie, and user agents are required by spec to respect it.
Using an Expires attribute in the past to delete a cookie is correct and is the way to remove cookies dictated by the spec. The examples section of RFC 6255 states:
Finally, to remove a cookie, the server returns a Set-Cookie header with an expiration date in the past. The server will be successful in removing the cookie only if the Path and the Domain attribute in the Set-Cookie header match the values used when the cookie was created.
The User Agent Requirements section includes the following requirements, which together have the effect that a cookie must be immediately expunged if the user agent receives a new cookie with the same name whose expiry date is in the past

Points 11-3, 11-4, and 12 above together mean that when a new cookie is received with the same name, domain, and path, the old cookie must be expunged and replaced with the new cookie. Finally, the point below about expired cookies further dictates that after that is done, the new cookie must also be immediately evicted. The spec offers no wiggle room to browsers on this point; if a browser were to offer the user the option to disable cookie expiration, as the accepted answer suggests some browsers do, then it would be in violation of the spec. (Such a feature would also have little use, and as far as I know it does not exist in any browser.)
Why, then, did the OP of this question observe this approach failing? Though I have not dusted off a copy of Internet Explorer to check its behaviour, I suspect it was because the OP's Expires value was malformed! They used this value:

However, this is syntactically invalid in two ways.
The syntax section of the spec dictates that the value of the Expires attribute must be a

As far as I know, using "UTC" in this date format has never been valid; it wasn't a valid value when the format was first specified in 1982, and the HTTP spec has adopted a strictly more restrictive version of the format by banning the use of all "zone" values other than "GMT".
If the question asker here had instead used an Expires attribute like this, then:

If you have access to the element which the event is attached to inside the mouseout method, you can use contains() to see if the event.relatedTarget is a child element or not.
As event.relatedTarget is the element to which the mouse has passed into, if it isn't a child element, you have moused out of the element.
