i used chardet to detect possible encoding of this data ( if its text ), but get {'confidence': 0.0, 'encoding': None}. Then i tried to use pickle.load and get nothing again. I tried to save this as file , test many different formats and failed here too. Maybe you tell us what type have this 16512 bytes of mysterious data?

A simple way around it is just try changing the order of your imported jar files which can be done from (Eclipse). Right click on your package -> Build Path -> Configure build path -> References and Libraries -> Order and Export. Try changing the order of jars which contain signature files.

You can use -j.

• %=, performs modulus on the variable, with the variable then being set to the result of it

Much of the value of PEP-8 is to stop people arguing about inconsequential formatting rules, and get on with writing good, consistently formatted code. Sure, no one really thinks that 79 is optimal, but there's no obvious gain in changing it to 99 or 119 or whatever your preferred line length is. I think the choices are these: follow the rule and find a worthwhile cause to battle for, or provide some data that demonstrates how readability and productivity vary with line length. The latter would be extremely interesting, and would have a good chance of changing people's minds I think.

In an array, you can access to any element by using array[index], while in a linked list you must navigate through all the list starting from first until you get the element you need.

LinkedList is faster than ArrayList for deletion. I understand this one. ArrayList's slower since the internal backing-up array needs to be reallocated.

Deletion time for ArrayList: Access time + O(n). Deletion time for LinkedList: Access time + O(1).

The ArrayList must move all the elements from array[index] to array[index-1] starting by the item to delete index. The LinkedList should navigate until that item and then erase that node by decoupling it from the list.

LinkedList is faster than ArrayList for deletion. I understand this one. ArrayList's slower since the internal backing-up array needs to be reallocated.

Insertion time for ArrayList: O(n). Insertion time for LinkedList: O(1).

Why the ArrayList can take O(n)? Because when you insert a new element and the array is full, you need to create a new array with more size (you can calculate the new size with a formula like 2 * size or 3 * size / 2). The LinkedList just add a new node next to the last.

This analysis is not just in Java but in another programming languages like C, C++ and C#.

You would want to amend the commit and then do a force push which will update the branch with the PR.

Here's how I recommend you do this:

1. Close the PR so that whomever is reviewing it doesn't pull it in until you've made your changes.
2. Do a Soft reset to the commit before your unwanted change (if this is the last commit you can use git reset --soft HEAD^ or if it's a different commit, you would want to replace 'HEAD^' with the commit id)
3. Discard (or undo) any changes to the file that you didn't intend to update
4. Make a new commit git commit -a -c ORIG_HEAD
5. Force Push to your branch
6. Re-Open Pull Request

The now that your branch has been updated, the Pull Request will include your changes.

You have a few options here. The simplest is to chain your collectors:

Personally I don't really see much value in generic tuples now that records are available in the language as records display intent better and require very little code.

If you have a std::wstring object, you can call c_str() on it to get a wchar_t*:

If you have created the virtualenv with the --no-site-packages switch (the default), then system-wide installed additions such as MySQLdb are not included in the virtual environment packages.

You need to install MySQLdb with the pip command installed with the virtualenv. Either activate the virtualenv with the bin/activate script, or use bin/pip from within the virtualenv to install the MySQLdb library locally as well.

Alternatively, create a new virtualenv with system site-packages included by using the --system-site-package switch.

I think this should also work with OSX. The only problem would be getting an equivalent command for installing libmysqlclient-dev and python-dev as they are needed to compile mysql-python I guess.

The problem with <select> is, it's sometimes disconnected with the state of what's currently rendered and unless something has changed in the option list, no change value is returned. This can be a problem when trying to select the first option from a list. The following code can get the first-option the first-time selected, but onchange="changeFontSize(this)" by its self would not. There are methods described above using a dummy option to force a user to make a change value to pickup the actual first value, such as starting the list with an empty value. There are 8 bits in a byte (normally speaking in Windows).

However, if you are dealing with characters, it will depend on the charset/encoding. Unicode character can be 2 or 4 bytes, so that would be 16 or 32 bits, whereas Windows-1252 sometimes incorrectly called ANSI is only 1 bytes so 8 bits.

In Asian version of Windows and some others, the entire system runs in double-byte, so a character is 16 bits.

Per Matteo's comment, all contemporary versions of Windows use 16-bits internally per character.

JPA is a layered API, the different levels have their own annotations. The highest level is the (1) Entity level which describes persistent classes then you have the (2) relational database level which assume the entities are mapped to a relational database and (3) the java model.

Level 1 annotations: @Entity, @Id, @OneToOne, @OneToMany, @ManyToOne, @ManyToMany. You can introduce persistency in your application using these high level annotations alone. But then you have to create your database according to the assumptions JPA makes. These annotations specify the entity/relationship model.

Level 2 annotations: @Table, @Column, @JoinColumn, ... Influence the mapping from entities/properties to the relational database tables/columns if you are not satisfied with JPA's defaults or if you need to map to an existing database. These annotations can be seen as implementation annotations, they specify how the mapping should be done.

In my opinion it is best to stick as much as possible to the high level annotations and then introduce the lower level annotations as needed.

To answer the questions: the @OneToMany/mappedBy is nicest because it only uses the annotations from the entity domain. The @oneToMany/@JoinColumn is also fine but it uses an implementation annotation where this is not strictly necessary.

To check if variable is null or empty use this:

Some people don't like this, and it's more of a .NET convention than Java, but you can name your interfaces with a capital I prefix, for example:

IProductRepository - interface

The people opposed to this naming convention might argue that you shouldn't care whether you're working with an interface or an object in your code, but I find it easier to read and understand on-the-fly.

I wouldn't name the implementation class with a "Class" suffix. That may lead to confusion, because you can actually work with "class" (i.e. Type) objects in your code, but in your case, you're not working with the class object, you're just working with a plain-old object.

Having just gone round the internet to read up on this and the options in Spring I'd second Luke's answer, use BCrypt (it's mentioned in the source code at Spring).

The best resource I found to explain why to hash/salt and why use BCrypt is a good choice is here: Salted Password Hashing - Doing it Right.

b or i means you want the text to be rendered as bold or italics. strong or em means you want the text to be rendered in a way that the user understands as "important". The default is to render strong as bold and em as italics, but some other cultures might use a different mapping.

Like strings in a program, b and i would be "hard coded" while strong and em would be "localized".

You might need to activate adb root from the developer settings menu. If you run adb root from the cmd line you can get:

root access is disabled by system setting - enable in settings -> development options

Once you activate the root option (ADB only or Apps and ADB) adb will restart and you will be able to use root from the cmd line.

A new idea: simple_xml works as a array.

This will linearly convert pressure values between min_p and max_p to angles between 0 and 360 (you could include min_a and max_a to constrain the angle, too).

To pick a data structure, I wouldn't use a list but you could look up values in a dictionary:

You can use javac *.java command to compile all you java sources. Also you should learn a little about classpath because it seems that you should set appropriate classpath for succesful compilation (because your IDE use some libraries for building WebService clients). What this is actually doing is creating a class derived from ArrayList<String> (the outer set of braces do this) and then declare a static initialiser (the inner set of braces). This is actually an inner class of the containing class, and so it'll have an implicit this pointer. There is a better way than using http access and that is to use the ssh service offered by github on port 443 of the ssh.github.com server.

We use a tool called corkscrew. This is available for both CygWin (through setup from the cygwin homepage) and Linux using your favorite packaging tool. For MacOSX it is available from macports and brew at least.

The commandline is as follows :

The proxyhost and proxyport are the coordinates of the https proxy. The targethost and targetport is the location of the host to tunnel to. The authfile is a textfile with 1 line containing your proxy server username/password separated by a colon

It's a prefix to indicate the number is in hexadecimal rather than in some other base. The C programming language uses it to tell compiler.

Example :

0x6400 translates to 6*16^3 + 4*16^2 + 0*16^1 +0*16^0 = 25600. When compiler reads 0x6400, It understands the number is hexadecimal with the help of 0x term. Usually we can understand by (6400)16 or (6400)8 or any base ..

4. Right click to amd64 => Security => Edit => Add User => Everyone Or Current User => Allow all permissions => OK.

If you use MVC 3 and .NET 4, you can use the new Display attribute in the System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations namespace. This attribute replaces the DisplayName attribute and provides much more functionality, including localization support.

Faced this issue on Android studio 4.1, windows 10.

The solution that worked for me:

1 - Go to gradle.properties file which is in the root directory of the project.

3 - Now close any open project from File -> close project.

Only useful for excluding parts of methods.

If you use #if to exclude some method from compilation then you will have to exclude from compilation all pieces of code which call that method as well (sometimes you may load some classes at runtime and you cannot find the caller with "Find all references"). Otherwise there will be errors.

If you use conditional compilation on the other hand you can still leave all pieces of code that call the method. All parameters will still be validated by the compiler. The method just won't be called at runtime. I think that it is way better to hide the method just once and not have to remove all the code that calls it as well. You are not allowed to use the conditional attribute on methods which return value - only on void methods. But I don't think this is a big limitation because if you use #if with a method that returns a value you have to hide all pieces of code that call it too.

Summary:

I would use #ifdef in C++ but with C#/VB I would use Conditional attribute. This way you hide the method definition without having to hide the pieces of code that call it. The calling code is still compiled and validated by the compiler, the method is not called at runtime though. You may want to use #if to avoid dependencies because with Conditional attribute your code is still compiled.

When I wrote the first version of this answer, I was only looking at the title question about < vs. <= in general, not the specific example of a constant a < 901 vs. a <= 900. Many compilers always shrink the magnitude of constants by converting between < and <=, e.g. because x86 immediate operand have a shorter 1-byte encoding for -128..127.

For ARM, being able to encode as an immediate depends on being able to rotate a narrow field into any position in a word. So cmp r0, #0x00f000 would be encodeable, while cmp r0, #0x00efff would not be. So the make-it-smaller rule for comparison vs. a compile-time constant doesn't always apply for ARM. AArch64 is either shift-by-12 or not, instead of an arbitrary rotation, for instructions like cmp and cmn, unlike 32-bit ARM and Thumb modes.

< vs. <= in general, including for runtime-variable conditions

In assembly language on most machines, a comparison for <= has the same cost as a comparison for <. This applies whether you're branching on it, booleanizing it to create a 0/1 integer, or using it as a predicate for a branchless select operation (like x86 CMOV). The other answers have only addressed this part of the question.

But this question is about the C++ operators, the input to the optimizer. Normally they're both equally efficient; the advice from the book sounds totally bogus because compilers can always transform the comparison that they implement in asm. But there is at least one exception where using <= can accidentally create something the compiler can't optimize.

As a loop condition, there are cases where <= is qualitatively different from <, when it stops the compiler from proving that a loop is not infinite. This can make a big difference, disabling auto-vectorization.

Unsigned overflow is well-defined as base-2 wrap around, unlike signed overflow (UB). Signed loop counters are generally safe from this with compilers that optimize based on signed-overflow UB not happening: ++i <= size will always eventually become false. (What Every C Programmer Should Know About Undefined Behavior)

Compilers can only optimize in ways that preserve the (defined and legally observable) behaviour of the C++ source for all possible input values, except ones that lead to undefined behaviour.

(A simple i <= size would create the problem too, but I thought calculating an upper bound was a more realistic example of accidentally introducing the possibility of an infinite loop for an input you don't care about but which the compiler must consider.)

In this case, size=0 leads to upper_bound=UINT_MAX, and i <= UINT_MAX is always true. So this loop is infinite for size=0, and the compiler has to respect that even though you as the programmer probably never intend to pass size=0. If the compiler can inline this function into a caller where it can prove that size=0 is impossible, then great, it can optimize like it could for i < size.

Asm like if(!size) skip the loop; do{...}while(--size); is one normally-efficient way to optimize a for( i<size ) loop, if the actual value of i isn't needed inside the loop (Why are loops always compiled into "do...while" style (tail jump)?).

But that do{}while can't be infinite: if entered with size==0, we get 2^n iterations. (Iterating over all unsigned integers in a for loop C makes it possible to express a loop over all unsigned integers including zero, but it's not easy without a carry flag the way it is in asm.)

With wraparound of the loop counter being a possibility, modern compilers often just "give up", and don't optimize nearly as aggressively.

Example: sum of integers from 1 to n

Using unsigned i <= n defeats clang's idiom-recognition that optimizes sum(1 .. n) loops with a closed form based on Gauss's n * (n+1) / 2 formula.

It also has a plain scalar loop which I think it uses for very small n, and/or for the infinite loop case.

BTW, both of these loops waste an instruction (and a uop on Sandybridge-family CPUs) on loop overhead. sub eax,1/jnz instead of add eax,1/cmp/jcc would be more efficient. 1 uop instead of 2 (after macro-fusion of sub/jcc or cmp/jcc). The code after both loops writes EAX unconditionally, so it's not using the final value of the loop counter.

With argc (argument count) and argv (argument vector) you can get the number and the values of passed arguments when your application has been launched.

This way you can use parameters (such as -version) when your application is started to act a different way.

But you can also use int main(void) as a prototype in C.

There is a third (less known and nonstandard) prototype with a third argument which is envp. It contains environment variables.

You're trying to assign three separate string literals to a single string variable. A valid string variable would be 'John, Sarah, George'. If you want embedded single quotes between the double quotes, you have to escape them.

Also, your actual SELECT won't work, because SQL databases won't parse the string variable out into individual literal values. You need to use dynamic SQL instead, and then execute that dynamic SQL statement. (Search this site for dynamic SQL, with the database engine you're using as the topic (as in [sqlserver] dynamic SQL), and you should get several examples.)

As mentioned this occurs when using RubyGems 1.6.0 with Ruby on Rails version earlier than version 3. My app is using Ruby on Rails 2.3.3 vendored into the /vendor of the project.

No doubt an upgrade of Ruby on Rails to a newer 2.3.X version may also fix this issue. However, this problem prevents you running Rake to unvendor Ruby on Rails and upgrade it.

The user agent string is a text that the browsers themselves send to the webserver to identify themselves, so that websites can send different content based on the browser or based on browser compatibility.

After my initial struggle with the link and controller functions and reading quite a lot about them, I think now I have the answer.

First lets understand,

How do angular directives work in a nutshell:

• We begin with a template (as a string or loaded to a string)

• Now, this templateString is wrapped as an angular element

• With el, now we compile it with $compile to get back the link function.

  Here is what happens,

  • All the directives that are discovered are compiled recursively and their link functions are collected.
  • Then, all the link functions are wrapped in a new link function and returned as l.

• Finally, we provide scope function to this l (link) function which further executes the wrapped link functions with this scope and their corresponding elements.

  l(scope)

• This adds the template as a new node to the DOM and invokes controller which adds its watches to the scope which is shared with the template in DOM.

Comparing compile vs link vs controller :

• Every directive is compiled only once and link function is retained for re-use. Therefore, if there's something applicable to all instances of a directive should be performed inside directive's compile function.

• Now, after compilation we have link function which is executed while attaching the template to the DOM. So, therefore we perform everything that is specific to every instance of the directive. For eg: attaching events, mutating the template based on scope, etc.

• Finally, the controller is meant to be available to be live and reactive while the directive works on the DOM (after getting attached). Therefore:

  (1) After setting up the view[V] (i.e. template) with link. $scope is our [M] and $controller is our [C] in M V C

  (2) Take advantage the 2-way binding with $scope by setting up watches.

  (3) $scope watches are expected to be added in the controller since this is what is watching the template during run-time.

  (4) Finally, controller is also used to be able to communicate among related directives. (Like myTabs example in https://docs.angularjs.org/guide/directive)

  (5) It's true that we could've done all this in the link function as well but its about separation of concerns.

I'm a Ubuntu user and I had the same issue, when I was trying to run python script through a bash script while files were located in a NTFS partition (even with su didn't work) then I've moved it home (ext4) then it worked.

That is because you pass string to the function. Just remove quotes and pass real values:

mputty uses putty and it extends putty. There is an option to run a script. If it does not work, make sure that wait period before typing is a high value or increase that value. See putty sessions , then name of session, right mouse button,properties/script page.

jQuery and console.log are unrelated entities, although useful when used together.

If you use a browser's built-in dev tools, console.log will log information about the object being passed to the log function.

If the console is not active, logging will not work, and may break your script. Be certain to check that the console exists before logging:

3. A second comet-style request to the web server or a script to report the size of data received. Some webservers like Lighttpd provide modules to do this in-process to save the overhead of calling an external script or process.

Technically there is a forth option, similar to YouTube upload, with Gears or HTML5 you can use blobs to split a file into small chunks and individually upload each chunk. On completion of each chunk you can update the progress status.

You could convert the dataframe to be a single column with stack (this changes the shape from 5x3 to 15x1) and then take the standard deviation:

Bash supports a concept called "Positional Parameters". These positional parameters represent arguments that are specified on the command line when a Bash script is invoked.

Positional parameters are referred to by the names $0, $1, $2 ... and so on. $0 is the name of the script itself, $1 is the first argument to the script, $2 the second, etc. $* represents all of the positional parameters, except for $0 (i.e. starting with $1).

This is done by overloading the "__gt__" method. For instance:

As you can see, "a > 4" was valid code.

Something that is incredible is how simple it is to do this. ALL operations in python are done in such a way. Saying a > b is equivalent to a.gt(b)!

Remove static keyword in method definition. Keep it just in your class definition.

static keyword placed in .cpp file means that a certain function has a static linkage, ie. it is accessible only from other functions in the same file.

Here I have a solution that avoid multiple requests, for loops and old document removal.

You can easily create a new idea manually using something like:_id:ObjectId() But knowing Mongo will automatically assign an _id if missing, you can use aggregate to create a $project containing all the fields of your document, but omit the field _id. You can then save it with $out

So if your document is:

It seems that none of the answers here will work with string-enums in strict-mode.

Consider enum as:

Accessing this with AnimalEnum["dog"] may result in an error like:

Element implicitly has an 'any' type because expression of type 'any' can't be used to index type 'typeof AnimalEnum'.ts(7053).

Proper solution for that case, write it as:

AnimalEnum["dog" as keyof typeof AnimalEnum]

The reasons for warning are documented here, and the simple fixes are to turn off the warning or put the following declaration in your code to supply the version UID. The actual value is not relevant, start with 999 if you like, but changing it when you make incompatible changes to the class is.

Remember that window is the global namespace. These two lines attempt to declare the same variable:

window.APP = { ... }
const APP = window.APP

The second definition is not allowed in strict mode (enabled with 'use strict' at the top of your file).

To fix the problem, simply remove the const APP = declaration. The variable will still be accessible, as it belongs to the global namespace.
