Get Value of Radio button group

Question

I m trying to get the value of two radio button groups using the jQuery syntax as given below  When the code below is run I get the value selected from the first radio button group twice instead of getting the value of each individual group   Am I doing something obviously wrong here  Thanks for any help      lt a href     id  check var  gt Check values lt  a gt  lt br  gt  lt br  gt   lt script gt       a check var   click function         alert    input radio  name r   checked   val                       input radio  name s   checked   val            lt  script gt  Group 1 lt br  gt   lt input type  radio   name  r  value  radio1   gt  radio1  lt input type  radio   name  r  value  radio2   gt  radio2  lt br  gt  lt br  gt  Group 2 lt br  gt   lt input type  radio   name  s  value  radio3   gt  radio3  lt input type  radio   name  s  value  radio4   gt  radio4

Your quotes only need to surround the value part of the attribute-equals selector, [attr='val'], like this:

$('a#check_var').click(function() {
  alert($("input:radio[name='r']:checked").val()+ ' '+
        $("input:radio[name='s']:checked").val());
});?
