I had this error and all the configurations mentioned above were correct however I was still getting "The client and service bindings may be mismatched" error.

What resolved my error, was matching the messageEncoding attribute values in the following node of service and client config files. They were different in mine, service was Text and client Mtom. Changing service to Mtom to match client's, resolved the issue.

This solution will change the git file permissions from 100755 to 100644 and push changes back to the bitbucket remote repo.

  1. Take a look at your repo's file permissions: git ls-files --stage

  2. If 100755 and you want 100644

Then run this command: git ls-files --stage | sed 's/\t/ /g' | cut -d' ' -f4 | xargs git update-index --chmod=-x

  1. Now check your repo's file permissions again: git ls-files --stage

  2. Now commit your changes:

Hmm @tamouse, that gist is somewhat confusing to me without reading the csv source, but generically, assuming each hash in your array has the same number of k/v pairs & that the keys are always the same, in the same order (i.e. if your data is structured), this should do the deed:

Regarding the accepted answer, it is important to use toSerialize.GetType() instead of typeof(T) in XmlSerializer constructor: if you use the first one the code covers all possible scenarios, while using the latter one fails sometimes.

Here is a link with some example code that motivate this statement, with XmlSerializer throwing an Exception when typeof(T) is used, because you pass an instance of a derived type to a method that calls SerializeObject<T>() that is defined in the derived type's base class: http://ideone.com/1Z5J1. Note that Ideone uses Mono to execute code: the actual Exception you would get using the Microsoft .NET runtime has a different Message than the one shown on Ideone, but it fails just the same.

It looks like the only way is to provide the whole modal structure with your ajax response.

As you can check from the bootstrap source code, the load function is binded to the root element.

In case you can't modify the ajax response, a simple workaround could be an explicit call of the $(..).modal(..) plugin on your body element, even though it will probably break the show/hide functions of the root element.

Intellisense and code suggestion not working in Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate RC

I occasionally encountered the same problem as the OP.

Unfortunately, none of the above solutions works for me. -- I also searched from internet for other possible solutions, including Microsoft's VS/windows forum, and did not find an answer.

But when I closed the VS solution, there was a message asking me to download and install "Microsoft SQL Server Compact 4.0"; per this hint I finally fixed the problem.

I hope this finding is of any help to others who may get the same issue.

rbenv not changing ruby version

First step is to find out which ruby is being called:

$ which ruby

Your system says:

/usr/bin/ruby

This is NOT the shim used by rbenv, which (on MacOS) should look like:

/Users/<username>/.rbenv/shims/ruby

The shim is actually a script that acts like a redirect to the version of ruby you set.

I recommend that for trouble shooting you unset the project specific "local" version, and the shell specific "shell" version and just test using the "global" version setting which is determined in a plain text file in ~/.rbenv/version which will just be the version number "1.9.3" in your case.

$ rbenv global 1.9.3
$ rbenv local --unset
$ rbenv shell --unset

You can do ls -laG in the root of your project folder (not the home folder) to make sure there is no longer a ".ruby-version" file there.

You can use rbenv versions to identify which version rbenv is set to use (and the location and name of the file that is setting that):

$ rbenv versions

NONE OF THAT MATTERS until you set the path correctly.

Use this to make sure your *MacOS will obey you:

$ rbenv init -

Followed by:

$ which ruby

To make sure it looks like:

/Users/<username>/.rbenv/shims/ruby

Then run this to add the line to your profile so it runs each time you open a new terminal window:

$ echo 'eval "$(rbenv init -)"' >> ~/.bash_profile

There are other ways to modify the path, feel free to substitute any of them instead of running the rbenv init.

NOTE: reinstall Rails with:

$ gem install rails

If you were trying to run Ruby on Rails, then you need to have this all working first, then install the rails gem again. A previous install of Rails will use a hard coded path to the wrong ruby and several other things will be in the wrong place, so just install the gem again.

P. S. If your MacOS won't obey you (*mentioned above) then you may have to find another way to modify your path, but that's unlikely to be a problem because "Macs just work" ;)

Task.Run with Parameter(s)?

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to share a solution I ended up having to use since the accepted post still has an issue.

The Issue:

As pointed out by Alexandre Severino, if param (in the function below) changes shortly after the function call, you might get some unexpected behavior in MethodWithParameter.

Task.Run(() => MethodWithParameter(param)); 

My Solution:

To account for this, I ended up writing something more like the following line of code:

(new Func<T, Task>(async (p) => await Task.Run(() => MethodWithParam(p)))).Invoke(param);

This allowed me to safely use the parameter asynchronously despite the fact that the parameter changed very quickly after starting the task (which caused issues with the posted solution).

Using this approach, param (value type) gets its value passed in, so even if the async method runs after param changes, p will have whatever value param had when this line of code ran.

Simulating a mouse click

My guess is that the webpage is listening to mousedown rather than click (which is bad for accessibility because when a user uses the keyboard, only focus and click are fired, not mousedown). So you should simulate mousedown, click, and mouseup (which, by the way, is what the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad do on tap events).

To simulate the mouse events, you can use this snippet for browsers that support DOM 2 Events. For a more foolproof simulation, fill in the mouse position using initMouseEvent instead.

When you fire a simulated click event, the browser will actually fire the default action (e.g. navigate to the link's href, or submit a form).

In IE, the equivalent snippet is this (unverified since I don't have IE). I don't think you can give the event handler mouse positions.

Simulating keydown and keypress

You can simulate keydown and keypress events, but unfortunately in Chrome they only fire the event handlers and don't perform any of the default actions. I think this is because the DOM 3 Events working draft describes this funky order of key events:

  1. keydown (often has default action such as fire click, submit, or textInput events)
  2. keypress (if the key isn't just a modifier key like Shift or Ctrl)
  3. (keydown, keypress) with repeat=true if the user holds down the button
  4. default actions of keydown!!
  5. keyup

This means that you have to (while combing the HTML5 and DOM 3 Events drafts) simulate a large amount of what the browser would otherwise do. I hate it when I have to do that. For example, this is roughly how to simulate a key press on an input or textarea.

I don't think it is possible to simulate key events in IE.

What your missing here is that .Reverse() is a void method. It's not possible to assign the result of .Reverse() to a variable. You can however alter the order to use Enumerable.Reverse() and get your result

Reason of the error: Package name left blank while creating a class. This make use of default package. Thus causes this error.

Quick fix:

  1. Create a package eg. helloWorld inside the src folder.

When you create a new project in Eclipse then by default module feature is selected. And in Eclipse-2020-09-R, a pop-up appears which ask for creation of module-info.java file. If you select don't create then module-info.java will not create and your project will free from this issue.

Best practice is while crating project, after giving project name. Click on next button instead of finish. On next page at the bottom it ask for creation of module-info.java file. Select or deselect as per need.

If selected: (by default) click on finish button and give name for module. Now while creating a class don't forget to give package name. Whenever you create a class just give package name. Any name, just don't left it blank.

How to debug heap corruption errors?

The best tool I found useful and worked every time is code review (with good code reviewers).

Other than code review, I'd first try Page Heap. Page Heap takes a few seconds to set up and with luck it might pinpoint your problem.

If no luck with Page Heap, download Debugging Tools for Windows from Microsoft and learn to use the WinDbg. Sorry couldn't give you more specific help, but debuging multi-threaded heap corruption is more an art than science. Google for "WinDbg heap corruption" and you should find many articles on the subject.

My answer to this is the same as in an answer to your earlier question. For a probability density function, the integral over the entire space is 1. Dividing by the sum will not give you the correct density. To get the right density, you must divide by the area. To illustrate my point, try the following example.

If you want it to check explicit for it to not be false (boolean value) you have to use

But in JavaScript we usually use falsy and truthy and you could use

if(!borrar())

but then values 0, '', null, undefined, null and NaN would not generate the alert.

The most simple way that I use was using proc dir, which is the container is must be running in order to inspect the docker container files.

  1. Find out the process id (PID) of the container and store into some variable

  2. Make sure the container process is running, and use the variable name to get into the container folder

    cd /proc/$PID/root

If you want to get through the dir without finding out the PID number, just us this long command

After you get inside of the container, everything you do will affect the actual process of the container, such as stopping the service or changing the port number.

Putting e (the returns elements) gives jQuery context under which to apply the CSS selector. This keeps it from applying the ID to other elements in the DOM tree.

The issue appears to be that you aren't using the UL. If you put a naked li in the DOM tree, you're going to have issues. I thought it could handle/workaround this, but it can't.

You may not be putting naked LI's in your DOM tree for your "real" implementation, but the UL's are necessary for this to work. Sigh.

Variables declared outside function

The local names for a function are decided when the function is defined:

In this case, x exists in the local namespace. Execution of x += 5 requires a pre-existing value for x (for integers, it's like x = x + 5), and this fails at function call time because the local name is unbound - which is precisely why the exception UnboundLocalError is named as such.

Compare the other version, where x is not a local variable, so it can be resolved at the global scope instead:

Quick and simple: Both are equally fast, but Fortran is simpler. Whats really faster in the end depends on the algorithm, but there is considerable no speed difference anyway. This is what I learned in a Fortran workshop at high performance computing center Stuttgard, Germany in 2015. I work both with Fortran and C and share this opinion.

Explanation:

C was designed to write operating systems. Hence it has more freedom than needed to write high performance code. In general this is no problem, but if one does not programm carefully, one can easily slow the code down.

Fortran was designed for scientific programming. For this reason, it supports writing fast code syntax-wise, as this is the main purpose of Fortran. In contrast to the public opinion, Fortran is not an outdated programming language. Its latest standard is 2010 and new compilers are published on a regular basis, as most high performance code is writen in Fortran. Fortran further supports modern features as compiler directives (in C pragmas).

Example: We want to give a large struct as an input argument to a function (fortran: subroutine). Within the function the argument is not altered.

C supports both, call by reference and call by value, which is a handy feature. In our case, the programmer might by accident use call by value. This slows down things considerably, as the struct needs to be copied in within memory first.

Fortran works with call by reference only, which forces the programmer to copy the struct by hand, if he really wants a call by value operation. In our case fortran will be automatically as fast as the C version with call by reference.

If you are currently not on branch master, that's super easy:

For 1D array, numpy.correlate is faster than scipy.signal.correlate, under different sizes, I see a consistent 5x peformance gain using numpy.correlate. When two arrays are of similar size (the bright line connecting the diagonal), the performance difference is even more outstanding (50x +).

I went through this when trying to get a clientcert and private key out of a keystore.

The link above posted by welsh was great, but there was an extra step on my redhat distribution. If curl is built with NSS ( run curl --version to see if you see NSS listed) then you need to import the keys into an NSS keystore. I went through a bunch of convoluted steps, so this may not be the cleanest way, but it got things working

So export the keys into .p12

        -srcstoretype JKS -deststoretype PKCS12 \
        -srcstorepass $jkspassword -deststorepass $p12password

TL, DR: check if there´s anything running on the same port as the package manager (8081 by default)

Updated version of @Alaaedeen's answer. You can specify any part of the version of any package you want to install. This may cause other package versions to change. For example, if you don't care about which specific version of PyQt4 you want, do:

conda install pyqt=4

This would install the latest minor version and release of PyQt 4. You can specify any portion of the version that you want, not just the major number. So, for example

conda install pyqt=4.11

would install the latest (or last) release of version 4.11.

Keep in mind that installing a different version of a package may cause the other packages that depend on it to be rolled forward or back to where they support the version you want.

In the shell, you can't execute more than one statement at a time:

What is the difference between UTF-8 and ISO-8859-1?

UTF

UTF is a family of multi-byte encoding schemes that can represent Unicode code points which can be representative of up to 2^31 [roughly 2 billion] characters. UTF-8 is a flexible encoding system that uses between 1 and 4 bytes to represent the first 2^21 [roughly 2 million] code points.

Long story short: any character with a code point/ordinal representation below 127, aka 7-bit-safe ASCII is represented by the same 1-byte sequence as most other single-byte encodings. Any character with a code point above 127 is represented by a sequence of two or more bytes, with the particulars of the encoding best explained here.

ISO-8859

ISO-8859 is a family of single-byte encoding schemes used to represent alphabets that can be represented within the range of 127 to 255. These various alphabets are defined as "parts" in the format ISO-8859-n, the most familiar of these likely being ISO-8859-1 aka 'Latin-1'. As with UTF-8, 7-bit-safe ASCII remains unaffected regardless of the encoding family used.

The drawback to this encoding scheme is its inability to accommodate languages comprised of more than 128 symbols, or to safely display more than one family of symbols at one time. As well, ISO-8859 encodings have fallen out of favor with the rise of UTF. The ISO "Working Group" in charge of it having disbanded in 2004, leaving maintenance up to its parent subcommittee.

You can get that error if you have an object with the same name as the schema. For example:

When you refer to S2.MY_FUNC2 the object name is being resolved so it doesn't try to evaluate S2 as a schema name. When you just call it as MY_FUNC2 there is no confusion, so it works.

The documentation explains name resolution. The first piece of the qualified object name - S2 here - is evaluated as an object on the current schema before it is evaluated as a different schema.

It might not be a sequence; other objects can cause the same error. You can check for the existence of objects with the same name by querying the data dictionary.

The Stanford JS Crypto Library contains an implementation of SHA-256. While crypto in JS isn't really as well-vetted an endeavor as other implementation platforms, this one is at least partially developed by, and to a certain extent sponsored by, Dan Boneh, who is a well-established and trusted name in cryptography, and means that the project has some oversight by someone who actually knows what he's doing. The project is also supported by the NSF.

It's worth pointing out, however...
... that if you hash the password client-side before submitting it, then the hash is the password, and the original password becomes irrelevant. An attacker needs only to intercept the hash in order to impersonate the user, and if that hash is stored unmodified on the server, then the server is storing the true password (the hash) in plain-text.

So your security is now worse because you decided add your own improvements to what was previously a trusted scheme.

In CSS 1 and CSS 2 specifications, padding was available for all elements including <tr>. Yet support of padding for table-row (<tr>) has been removed in CSS 2.1 and CSS 3 specifications. I have never found the reason behind this annoying change which also affect margin property and a few other table elements (header, footer, and columns).

Update: in Feb 2015, this thread on the [email protected] mailing list discussed about adding support of padding and border for table-row. This would apply the standard box model also to table-row and table-column elements. It would permit such examples. The thread seems to suggest that table-row padding support never existed in CSS standards because it would have complicated layout engines. In the 30 September 2014 Editor's Draft of CSS basic box model, padding and border properties exist for all elements including table-row and table-column elements. If it eventually becomes a W3C recommendation, your html+css example may work as intended in browsers at last.

The concept of interval notation comes up in both Mathematics and Computer Science. The Mathematical notation [, ], (, ) denotes the domain (or range) of an interval.

  • The brackets [ and ] means:

    1. The number is included,

    1. The number is excluded,
    2. This side of the interval is open.

How does this relate to Mathematics and Computer Science?

Array indexes tend to use a different offset depending on which field are you in:

  • Mathematics tends to be one-based.
  • Certain programming languages tends to be zero-based, such as C, C++, Javascript, Python, while other languages such as Mathematica, Fortran, Pascal are one-based.

These differences can lead to subtle fence post errors, aka, off-by-one bugs when implementing Mathematical algorithms such as for-loops.

Integers

If we have a set or array, say of the first few primes [ 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29 ], Mathematicians would refer to the first element as the 1st absolute element. i.e. Using subscript notation to denote the index:

  • a[1] = 3

Floating-Point

Interval notation is also important for floating-point numbers to avoid subtle bugs.

When dealing with floating-point numbers especially in Computer Graphics (color conversion, computational geometry, animation easing/blending, etc.) often times normalized numbers are used. That is, numbers between 0.0 and 1.0.

It is important to know the edge cases if the endpoints are inclusive or exclusive:

  • (0,1) = 1e-M .. 0.999...
  • (0,1] = 1e-M .. 1.0
  • [0,1) = 0.0 .. 0.999...
  • [0,1] = 0.0 .. 1.0

Where M is some machine epsilon. This is why you might sometimes see const float EPSILON = 1e-# idiom in C code (such as 1e-6) for a 32-bit floating point number. Some implementations of a random number generator, random() may produce values in the range 0.0 .. 0.999... instead of the more convenient 0.0 .. 1.0. Proper comments in the code will document this as [0.0,1.0) or [0.0,1.0] so there is no ambiguity as to the usage.

Example:

  • You want to generate random() colors. You convert three floating-point values to unsigned 8-bit values to generate a 24-bit pixel with red, green, and blue channels respectively. Depending on the interval output by random() you may end up with near-white (254,254,254) or white (255,255,255).

I had the same error for quite a while, and here what fixed it for me.

I simply declared in service that i use what follows:

What should catch your attention here is "After=network.target". I spent days and days looking for fixes on nginx side, while the problem was just that. To be sure, stop running the node service you have, launch the ExecStart command directly and try to reproduce the bug. If it doesn't pop, it just means that your service has a problem. At least this is how i found my answer.

Why use a ReentrantLock if one can use synchronized(this)?

Synchronized locks does not offer any mechanism of waiting queue in which after the execution of one thread any thread running in parallel can acquire the lock. Due to which the thread which is there in the system and running for a longer period of time never gets chance to access the shared resource thus leading to starvation.

Reentrant locks are very much flexible and has a fairness policy in which if a thread is waiting for a longer time and after the completion of the currently executing thread we can make sure that the longer waiting thread gets the chance of accessing the shared resource hereby decreasing the throughput of the system and making it more time consuming.

Application not picking up .css file (flask/python)

I have read multiple threads and none of them fixed the issue that people are describing and I have experienced too.

I have even tried to move away from conda and use pip, to upgrade to python 3.7, i have tried all coding proposed and none of them fixed.

And here is why (the problem):

by default python/flask search the static and the template in a folder structure like:

/Users/username/folder_one/folder_two/ProjectName/src/app_name/<static>
 and 
/Users/username/folder_one/folder_two/ProjectName/src/app_name/<template>

you can verify by yourself using the debugger on Pycharm (or anything else) and check the values on the app (app = Flask(name)) and search for teamplate_folder and static_folder

in order to fix this, you have to specify the values when creating the app something like this:

$host is a variable of the Core module.

$host

This variable is equal to line Host in the header of request or name of the server processing the request if the Host header is not available.

This variable may have a different value from $http_host in such cases: 1) when the Host input header is absent or has an empty value, $host equals to the value of server_name directive; 2)when the value of Host contains port number, $host doesn't include that port number. $host's value is always lowercase since 0.8.17.

Convert INT to FLOAT in SQL

In oracle db there is a trick for casting int to float (I suppose, it should also work in mysql):

While @Heximal's answer works, I don't personally recommend it.

This is because it uses implicit casting. Although you didn't type CAST, either the SUM() or the 0.0 need to be cast to be the same data-types, before the + can happen. In this case the order of precedence is in your favour, and you get a float on both sides, and a float as a result of the +. But SUM(aFloatField) + 0 does not yield an INT, because the 0 is being implicitly cast to a FLOAT.

I find that in most programming cases, it is much preferable to be explicit. Don't leave things to chance, confusion, or interpretation.

If you want to be explicit, I would use the following.

CAST(SUM(sl.parts) AS FLOAT) * cp.price
-- using MySQL CAST FLOAT  requires 8.0

I won't discuss whether NUMERIC or FLOAT *(fixed point, instead of floating point)* is more appropriate, when it comes to rounding errors, etc. I'll just let you google that if you need to, but FLOAT is so massively misused that there is a lot to read about the subject already out there.

I've worked with a lot of CSV files in my time. I'd like to add the advice:

1 - Depending on the source (Excel, etc), commas or tabs may be embedded in a field. Usually, the rule is that they will be 'protected' because the field will be double-quote delimited, as in "Boston, MA 02346".

2 - Some sources will not double-quote delimit all text fields. Other sources will. Others will delimit all fields, even numerics.

3 - Fields containing double-quotes usually get the embedded double quotes doubled up (and the field itself delimited with double quotes, as in "George ""Babe"" Ruth".

4 - Some sources will embed CR/LFs (Excel is one of these!). Sometimes it'll be just a CR. The field will usually be double-quote delimited, but this situation is very difficult to handle.

There are two ways to do the redirect. Both apply to either subprocess.Popen or subprocess.call.

  1. Set the keyword argument shell = True or executable = /path/to/the/shell and specify the command just as you have it there.

  2. Since you're just redirecting the output to a file, set the keyword argument

    stdout = an_open_writeable_file_object
    

    where the object points to the output file.

subprocess.Popen is more general than subprocess.call.

Popen doesn't block, allowing you to interact with the process while it's running, or continue with other things in your Python program. The call to Popen returns a Popen object.

call does block. While it supports all the same arguments as the Popen constructor, so you can still set the process' output, environmental variables, etc., your script waits for the program to complete, and call returns a code representing the process' exit status.

returncode = call(*args, **kwargs) 

is basically the same as calling

returncode = Popen(*args, **kwargs).wait()

call is just a convenience function. It's implementation in CPython is in subprocess.py:

Isn't it difficult even for humans to distinguish between a bottle and a can in the second image (provided the transparent region of the bottle is hidden)?

They are almost the same except for a very small region (that is, width at the top of the can is a little small while the wrapper of the bottle is the same width throughout, but a minor change right?)

The first thing that came to my mind was to check for the red top of bottle. But it is still a problem, if there is no top for the bottle, or if it is partially hidden (as mentioned above).

The second thing I thought was about the transparency of bottle. OpenCV has some works on finding transparent objects in an image. Check the below links.

Particularly look at this to see how accurately they detect glass:

They say it is the implementation of the paper "A Geodesic Active Contour Framework for Finding Glass" by K. McHenry and J. Ponce, CVPR 2006.

It might be helpful in your case a little bit, but problem arises again if the bottle is filled.

So I think here, you can search for the transparent body of the bottles first or for a red region connected to two transparent objects laterally which is obviously the bottle. (When working ideally, an image as follows.)

Now you can remove the yellow region, that is, the label of the bottle and run your algorithm to find the can.

Anyway, this solution also has different problems like in the other solutions.

  1. It works only if your bottle is empty. In that case, you will have to search for the red region between the two black colors (if the Coca Cola liquid is black).
  2. Another problem if transparent part is covered.

But anyway, if there are none of the above problems in the pictures, this seems be to a better way.
