You can look at this argument from several angles including the one of a purely OO approach which says to program against an Interface not an implementation. With this thought, using IList follows the same principal as passing around and using Interfaces that you define from scratch. I also believe in the scalability and flexibility factors provided by an Interface in general. If a class implmenting IList<T> needs to be extended or changed, the consuming code does not have to change; it knows what the IList Interface contract adheres to. However using a concrete implementation and List<T> on a class that changes, could cause the calling code to need to be changed as well. This is because a class adhering to IList<T> guarantees a certain behavior that is not guaranteed by a concrete type using List<T>.

Also having the power to do something like modify the default implementation of List<T> on a class Implementing IList<T> for say the .Add, .Remove or any other IList method gives the developer a lot of flexibility and power, otherwise predefined by List<T>

For performing Unmarshall using JAXB:

1) Convert given XML to XSD(by yourself or by online convertor),

2) Create a JAXB project in eclipse,

3) Create XSD file and paste that converted XSD content in it,

4) Right click on **XSD file--> Generate--> JAXB Classes-->follow the instructions(this will create all nessasary .java files in src, i.e., one package-info, object factory and pojo class),

5) Create another .java file in src to operate unmarshall operation, and run it.

Creating a link could become a complex issue when supporting multiple OS and multiple platform. For example the WebObjects isn't supported on iOS 7 (some of them), some links you create would open another country store then the user's etc.

There is an open source library called iLink that could help you.

There advantages of this library is that the links would be found and created at run time (the library would check the app ID and the OS it is running on and would figure out what link should be created). The best point in this is that you don't need to configure almost anything before using it so that is error free and would work always. That's great also if you have few targets on same project so you don't have to remember which app ID or link to use. This library also would prompt the user to upgrade the app if there is a new version on the store (this is built in and you turn this off by a simple flag) directly pointing to the upgrade page for the app if user agrees.

Copy the 2 library files to your project (iLink.h & iLink.m).

I had a similar error with a fresh install of Android Studio 1.2.1.1 attempting to build a new blank app for API 22: Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

I fixed it by simply changing the Build Tools Version from "23.0.0 rc1" to "22.0.1" and then rebuilding.

Sorry, I was not able to add a comment to one of existing answers, but in case you wanted to implement a kind of warning dialog, I just wanted to mention that any event handler function has an argument - event. In your case you can call event.preventDefault() to disallow leaving the page automatically, then issue your own dialog. I consider this a way better option than using standard ugly and insecure alert(). I personally implemented my own set of dialog boxes based on kendoWindow object (Telerik's Kendo UI, which is almost fully open-sourced, except of kendoGrid and kendoEditor). You can also use dialog boxes from jQuery UI. Please note though, that such things are asynchronous, and you will need to bind a handler to onclick event of every button, but this is all quite easy to implement.

However, I do agree that the lack of the real close event is terrible: if you, for instance, want to reset your session state at the back-end only on case of the real close, it's a problem.

I looked for an array wrapper which makes it comparable to use with guava TreeRangeMap. The class doesn't accept comparator.

After some research I realized that ByteBuffer from JDK has this feature and it doesn't copy original array which is good. More over you can compare faster with ByteBuffer::asLongBuffer 8 bytes at time (also doesn't copy). By default ByteBuffer::wrap(byte[]) use BigEndian so order relation is the same as comparing individual bytes.

The hint is, the output file is created even if you get this error. The automatic deconstruction of vector starts after your code executed. Elements in the vector are deconstructed as well. The sh solution by Brian Campbell, while noble and well executed, has a few problems, so I thought I'd provide my own bash solution.

The problems with the sh one:

• The tilde in ~/foo doesn't expand to your homedirectory inside heredocs. And neither when it's read by the read statement or quoted in the rm statement. Which means you'll get No such file or directory errors.
• Forking off grep and such for basic operations is daft. Especially when you're using a crappy shell to avoid the "heavy" weight of bash.
• I also noticed a few quoting issues, for instance around a parameter expansion in his echo.
• While rare, the solution cannot cope with filenames that contain newlines. (Almost no solution in sh can cope with them - which is why I almost always prefer bash, it's far more bulletproof & harder to exploit when used well).

While, yes, using /bin/sh for your hashbang means you must avoid bashisms at all costs, you can use all the bashisms you like, even on Ubuntu or whatnot when you're honest and put #!/bin/bash at the top.

So, here's a bash solution that's smaller, cleaner, more transparent, probably "faster", and more bulletproof.

1. Notice the quotes around $1 in the rm statement!
2. The -d check will also fail if $1 is empty, so that's two checks in one.
3. I avoided regular expressions for a reason. If you must use =~ in bash, you should be putting the regular expression in a variable. In any case, globs like mine are always preferable and supported in far more bash versions.

I use this to display a little PyGTK calendar widget which runs when I click the clock. If I click and the calendar is not up, the calendar displays. If the calendar is running and I click the clock, the calendar disappears.

As you can see, this code uses a StreamWriter to write the entire string (with proper encoding) out to the MemoryStream. This takes the hassle out of ensuring the entire byte array for the string is written.

Update: I stepped into issue with empty stream several time. It's enough to call Flush right after you've finished writing.

As @Nils mentionned, you can use the update_fields keyword argument of the save() method to manually specify the fields to update.

Generally, this isn't a great idea. Taking your scenario, if you had evil intentions, you could hide everything underneath your "overlay". Then, when a user clicks on a link they think should take them to bankofamerica.com, instead it triggers the hidden link which takes them to myevilsite.com.

That said, event bubbling works, and if it's within an application, it's not a big deal. The following code is an example. Clicking the blue area pops up an alert, even though the alert is set on the red area. Note that the orange area does NOT work, because the event will propagate through the PARENT elements, so your overlay needs to be inside whatever element you're observing the clicks on. In your scenario, you may be out of luck.

Update: The assumption of this config is that there doesn't exist any php script under /path/to/root/of/static/files. This is common in most modern php frameworks. Please take a look at XML DOM Parser (W3Schools). It's a tutorial on XML DOM parsing. The actual DOM parser differs from browser to browser but the DOM API is standardised and remains the same (more or less).

The accepted answer is really helpful! Just to add that process substitution (i.e., <(COMMAND)) is not supported in some shells (e.g., dash).

In my case, I was trying to create a custom action (basically a one-line shell script) in Thunar file manager to start a shell and activate the selected Python virtual environment. My first attempt was:

urxvt -e bash --rcfile <(echo ". $HOME/.bashrc; . %f/bin/activate;")

where %f is the path to the virtual environment handled by Thunar. I got an error (by running Thunar from command line):

/bin/sh: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

Then I realized that my sh (essentially dash) does not support process substitution.

My solution was to invoke bash at the top level to interpret the process substitution, at the expense of an extra level of shell:

I was able to get a great solution to this problem with iScroll, with the feel of momentum scrolling and everything https://github.com/cubiq/iscroll The github doc is great, and I mostly followed it. Here's the details of my implementation.

HTML: I wrapped the scrollable area of my content in some divs that iScroll can use:

The only other gotcha was occasionally I would lose part of my page that I was trying to scroll to, and it would refuse to scroll. I had to add in some calls to myScroller.refresh() whenever I changed the contents of the #wrapper, and that solved the problem.

EDIT: Another gotcha was that iScroll eats all the "click" events. I turned on the option to have iScroll emit a "tap" event and handled those instead of "click" events. Thankfully I didn't need much clicking in the scroll area, so this wasn't a big deal.

Are you sure you need a regex? It seems that you only need to know if a word is present in a string, so you can do:

Difference between Paint() and Repaint() method

Paint():

This method holds instructions to paint this component. Actually, in Swing, you should change paintComponent() instead of paint(), as paint calls paintBorder(), paintComponent() and paintChildren(). You shouldn't call this method directly, you should call repaint() instead.

Repaint():

This method can't be overridden. It controls the update() -> paint() cycle. You should call this method to get a component to repaint itself. If you have done anything to change the look of the component, but not its size ( like changing color, animating, etc. ) then call this method.

I think your port is probably open, but you don't have anything that listens on it.

The Apple Mac OS X operating system has SSH installed by default but the SSH daemon is not enabled. This means you can’t login remotely or do remote copies until you enable it.

To enable it, go to ‘System Preferences’. Under ‘Internet & Networking’ there is a ‘Sharing’ icon. Run that. In the list that appears, check the ‘Remote Login’ option. In OS X Yosemite and up, there is no longer an 'Internet & Networking' menu; it was moved to Accounts. The Sharing menu now has its own icon on the main System Preferences menu. (thx @AstroCB)

This starts the SSH daemon immediately and you can remotely login using your username. The ‘Sharing’ window shows at the bottom the name and IP address to use. You can also find this out using ‘whoami’ and ‘ifconfig’ from the Terminal application.

These instructions are copied from Enable SSH in Mac OS X, but I wanted to make sure they won't go away and to provide quick access.

I was seeing this unexpected token o error because my (incomplete) code had run previously (live reload!) and set the particular keyed local storage value to [object Object] instead of {}. You can easily customize the android Navigation drawer once you know how its implemented. here is a nice tutorial where you can set it up.

You can customize this listview to your liking by adding the header. And radiobuttons.

There seems to be many solutions out there that worked with downgrading npm versions. For me, the solution was

npm install -force

I tried the downgrading of npm versions, modifying my npm prefix config to match the npm directory, and clearing cache. None of these worked, but apparently they worked for others, so it may be worth a shot.

First make sure all nuget packages are at the same version across all projects in your solution. e.g. you dont want one project to reference NLog 4.0.0.0 and another project to reference NLog 4.1.0.0. Then try reinstalling nuget packages with

Update-Package -reinstall

I had 3 3rd party assemblies that were referenced by my assembly A and only 2 were included in References by my assembly B which also referenced A.

The missing reference to the 3rd party assembly was added by the update package command, and the error went away.

I had the same issue in a Windows Service. All keys where in the right place in the registry. The build of the service was done for x86 and I still got the exception. I found out about CorFlags.exe

Run this on your service.exe without flags to verify if you run under 32 bit. If not run it with the flag /32BIT+ /Force (Force only for signed assemblies)

If you have UAC turned you can get the following error: corflags : error CF001 : Could not open file for writing Give the user full control on the assemblies.

As to me, i need to caffe to my python path. I can add it's path to the file /home/xy/.bashrc by add

You can't call free on the pointers returned from strsep. Those are not individually allocated strings, but just pointers into the string s that you've already allocated. When you're done with s altogether, you should free it, but you do not have to do that with the return values of strsep.

Let me give some information on them:

1. quit() simply raises the SystemExit exception.

   Furthermore, if you print it, it will give a message:

4. os._exit() exits the program without calling cleanup handlers, flushing stdio buffers, etc. Thus, it is not a standard way to exit and should only be used in special cases. The most common of these is in the child process(es) created by os.fork.

   Note that, of the four methods given, only this one is unique in what it does.

Summed up, all four methods exit the program. However, the first two are considered bad to use in production code and the last is a non-standard, dirty way that is only used in special scenarios. So, if you want to exit a program normally, go with the third method: sys.exit.

Or, even better in my opinion, you can just do directly what sys.exit does behind the scenes and run:

raise SystemExit

This way, you do not need to import sys first.

However, this choice is simply one on style and is purely up to you.

Preface: will your viewer work?

Make sure your viewer/editor/terminal (however you are interacting with your utf-8 encoded file) can read the file. This is frequently an issue on Windows, for example, Notepad.

Writing Unicode text to a text file?

In Python 2, use open from the io module (this is the same as the builtin open in Python 3):

Best practice, in general, use UTF-8 for writing to files (we don't even have to worry about byte-order with utf-8).

encoding = 'utf-8'

utf-8 is the most modern and universally usable encoding - it works in all web browsers, most text-editors (see your settings if you have issues) and most terminals/shells.

On Windows, you might try utf-16le if you're limited to viewing output in Notepad (or another limited viewer).

Based on the counts, we can probably improve our results by excluding the Cn and Co categories, which have no symbols associated with them.

My Python 3.5 from Anaconda has unicode 8.0, I would presume most 3's would.

If you're inserting text content in your document in a location where text content is expected¹, you typically only need to escape the same characters as you would in XML. Inside of an element, this just includes the entity escape ampersand & and the element delimiter less-than and greater-than signs < >:

& becomes &
< becomes &lt;
> becomes &gt;

Inside of attribute values you must also escape the quote character you're using:

" becomes "
' becomes '

In some cases it may be safe to skip escaping some of these characters, but I encourage you to escape all five in all cases to reduce the chance of making a mistake.

If your document encoding does not support all of the characters that you're using, such as if you're trying to use emoji in an ASCII-encoded document, you also need to escape those. Most documents these days are encoded using the fully Unicode-supporting UTF-8 encoding where this won't be necessary.

In general, you should not escape spaces as  .   is not a normal space, it's a non-breaking space. You can use these instead of normal spaces to prevent a line break from being inserted between two words, or to insert          extra        space       without it being automatically collapsed, but this is usually a rare case. Don't do this unless you have a design constraint that requires it.

¹ By "a location where text content is expected", I mean inside of an element or quoted attribute value where normal parsing rules apply. For example: <p>HERE</p> or <p title="HERE">...</p>. What I wrote above does not apply to content that has special parsing rules or meaning, such as inside of a script or style tag, or as an element or attribute name. For example: <NOT-HERE>...</NOT-HERE>, <script>NOT-HERE</script>, <style>NOT-HERE</style>, or <p NOT-HERE="...">...</p>.

In these contexts, the rules are more complicated and it's much easier to introduce a security vulnerability. I strongly discourage you from ever inserting dynamic content in any of these locations. I have seen teams of competent security-aware developers introduce vulnerabilities by assuming that they had encoded these values correctly, but missing an edge case. There's usually a safer alternative, such as putting the dynamic value in an attribute and then handling it with JavaScript.

If you must, please read the Open Web Application Security Project's XSS Prevention Rules to help understand some of the concerns you will need to keep in mind.

The only way I could finally get this to work was by creating an array in JavaScript. The array elements reference the various info-windows (one info-window is created for each marker on the map). Each array element contains the unique text for its appropriate map marker. I defined the JavaScript event for each info-window based on the array element. And when the event fires, I use the "this" keyword to reference the array element to reference the appropriate value to display.

There is nothing wrong with the example you have given. But i must say i believe it's not efficient to store function definitions in a cpp file. I only understand the need to separate the function's declaration and definition.

When used together with explicit class instantiation, the Boost Concept Check Library (BCCL) can help you generate template function code in cpp files.

I've solved the problem by add attribute 'defer' to the 'script' element.

From the W3C FAQ:

Although many programming languages have devices like drop-down boxes that have the capability of sorting a list of items before displaying them as part of their functionality, the HTML <select> function has no such capabilities. It lists the <options> in the order received.

You'd have to sort them by hand for a static HTML document, or resort to Javascript or some other programmatic sort for a dynamic document.

It's simple to implement this with the built-in DOM methods without a big library like jQuery, if you want, it just takes a bit more code - iterate over an array of event names, and add a listener for each:

I think it might be better to keep the binding the entire time, and simply update the data associated with it. I ran into this issue, and found that just calling using the .resetAll() method on the array in which I was keeping my data was the most effective way to do this.

Basically you can start with some global var which contains data to be rendered via the ViewModel:

It took me a while to realize I couldn't just make myLiveData a normal array -- the ko.oberservableArray part was important.

Unless your data is really huge, user's won't even be able to notice the time in between resetting the array and then adding the most-current data back in.

My own experience has been that it's best to stick to one of two kinds of assembly references:

• A 'local' assembly in the current build directory
• An assembly in the GAC

I've found (much like you've described) other methods to either be too easily broken or have annoying maintenance requirements.

Any assembly I don't want to GAC, has to live in the execution directory. Any assembly that isn't or can't be in the execution directory I GAC (managed by automatic build events).

This hasn't given me any problems so far. While I'm sure there's a situation where it won't work, the usual answer to any problem has been "oh, just GAC it!". 8 D

On newer versions of yum, this information is stored in the "yumdb" when the package is installed. This is the only 100% accurate way to get the information, and you can use:

I use this for a slideshow in which I have two of these "tiles" and I fade one out and the other in. The loading is done on the "tile" that is not visible to avoid the jarring visual affect of the resetting of the style back to "auto".

On windows, use https://github.com/Zapotek/raw2vmdk to convert raw files created by dd or winhex to vmdk. raw2vmdk v0.1.3.2 has a bug - once the vmdk file is created, edit the vmdk file and fix the path to the raw file (in my case instead of D:\Temp\flash_16gb.raw (created by winhex) the generated path was D:Tempflash_16gb.raw). Basically, the problem lies in block12. for the block1/2 to take up the total height of the block12, it must have a defined height. This stack overflow post explains that in really good detail.

So setting a defined height for block12 will allow you to set a proper height. I have created an example on JSfiddle that will show you the the blocks can be floated next to one another if the block12 div is set to a standard height through out the page.

Here is an example including a header and block3 div with some content in for examples.

The order the bound callbacks are called in is managed by each jQuery object's event data. There aren't any functions (that I know of) that allow you to view and manipulate that data directly, you can only use bind() and unbind() (or any of the equivalent helper functions).

Dowski's method is best, you should modify the various bound callbacks to bind to an ordered sequence of custom events, with the "first" callback bound to the "real" event. That way, no matter in what order they are bound, the sequence will execute in the right way.

The only alternative I can see is something you really, really don't want to contemplate: if you know the binding syntax of the functions may have been bound before you, attempt to un-bind all of those functions and then re-bind them in the proper order yourself. That's just asking for trouble, because now you have duplicated code.

It would be cool if jQuery allowed you to simply change the order of the bound events in an object's event data, but without writing some code to hook into the jQuery core that doesn't seem possible. And there are probably implications of allowing this that I haven't thought of, so maybe it's an intentional omission.

In Java:

I was using Django 1.10 before.So I was facing this problem. Now I downgraded it to Django 1.9 and it is working fine.

If you only want to upgrade one specific package called somepackage, the command you should use in recent versions of pip is

pip install --upgrade --upgrade-strategy only-if-needed somepackage
