If you are using virtualenv, it is not as trivial to get the driver using the installer. What you can do then: install it as described by Devon. Then copy over cx_Oracle.pyd and the cx_Oracle-XXX.egg-info folder from Python\Lib\site-packages into the Lib\site-packages from your virtual env. Of course, also here, architecture and version are important.

Depending on the schema/account you are using to connect to the database, I would suspect you are missing a grant to the account you are using to connect to the database.

Connect as PCT account in the database, then grant the account you are using select access for the table.

grant select on pi_int to Account_used_to_connect

This one is not quite as easy to grasp but might have use for situations there there were a need to specify columns by a numeric vector:

Well, for starters, a struct is passed by value rather than by reference. Structs are good for relatively simple data structures, while classes have a lot more flexibility from an architectural point of view via polymorphism and inheritance.

Others can probably give you more detail than I, but I use structs when the structure that I am going for is simple.

Ideally you shouldn't be splitting strings in T-SQL at all.

What is the difference between Oracle SIDs and Oracle SERVICE NAMES. One config tool looks for SERVICE NAME and then the next looks for SIDs! What's going on?!

Oracle SID is the unique name that uniquely identifies your instance/database where as Service name is the TNS alias that you give when you remotely connect to your database and this Service name is recorded in Tnsnames.ora file on your clients and it can be the same as SID and you can also give it any other name you want.

SERVICE_NAME is the new feature from oracle 8i onwards in which database can register itself with listener. If database is registered with listener in this way then you can use SERVICE_NAME parameter in tnsnames.ora otherwise - use SID in tnsnames.ora.

Also if you have OPS (RAC) you will have different SERVICE_NAME for each instance.

SERVICE_NAMES specifies one or more names for the database service to which this instance connects. You can specify multiple services names in order to distinguish among different uses of the same database. For example:

SERVICE_NAMES = sales.acme.com, widgetsales.acme.com

You can also use service names to identify a single service that is available from two different databases through the use of replication.

In an Oracle Parallel Server environment, you must set this parameter for every instance.

In short: SID = the unique name of your DB instance, ServiceName = the alias used when connecting

There are a bunch of different reasons for the "Too Many Connections" error.

Check your my.cnf file for "max_connections". If none exist try:

However the default is 151, so you should be okay.

If you are on a shared host, it might be that other users are taking up too many connections.

The problem comes because of an interesting clash of new C++ features and what you're trying to do. First, let's take a look at the push_back signature:

void push_back(const T&)

It's expecting a reference to an object of type T. Under the old system of initialization, such a member exists. For example, the following code compiles just fine:

But without the headaches of a preprocessor macro (and with type safety). That means that the vector, which is expecting a reference, can't get one.

For security reasons most browsers do not allow to modify the clipboard (except IE, of course...).

As mentioned before, you can manually edit your project's .csproj file in order to apply it manually.

I also noticed that Visual Studio 2013 attempts to apply a relative path to the reference hintpath, probably because of an attempt to make the project file more portable.

Just like to revisit this almost 10 year old question. In this era of off-the-shelf programming, your best bet is to set your project up using a dependency manager (npm). I was solving this leetcode problem and I came across this beautiful solution by a user named Zitao Wang.

The problem goes like this for each element in the given array find the product of all the remaining numbers without making use of divison and in O(n) time

The standard solution is:

Pass 1: For all elements compute product of all the elements to the left of it
Pass 2: For all elements compute product of all the elements to the right of it
        and then multiplying them for the final answer 

His solution uses only one for loop by making use of. He computes the left product and right product on the fly using ~

Introduces policy-based design, type lists, and fundamental generic programming idioms then explains how many useful design patterns (including small object allocators, functors, factories, visitors, and multi-methods) can be implemented efficiently, modularly, and cleanly using generic programming. [Review]

• C++ Template Metaprogramming (David Abrahams and Aleksey Gurtovoy)

• C++ Concurrency In Action (Anthony Williams) A book covering C++11 concurrency support including the thread library, the atomics library, the C++ memory model, locks and mutexes, as well as issues of designing and debugging multithreaded applications. A second edition covering C++14 and C++17 has been already published. [Review]

• Advanced C++ Metaprogramming (Davide Di Gennaro) A pre-C++11 manual of TMP techniques, focused more on practice than theory. There are a ton of snippets in this book, some of which are made obsolete by type traits, but the techniques, are nonetheless useful to know. If you can put up with the quirky formatting/editing, it is easier to read than Alexandrescu, and arguably, more rewarding. For more experienced developers, there is a good chance that you may pick up something about a dark corner of C++ (a quirk) that usually only comes about through extensive experience.

Reference Style - All Levels

• The C++ Programming Language (Bjarne Stroustrup) (updated for C++11) The classic introduction to C++ by its creator. Written to parallel the classic K&R, this indeed reads very much like it and covers just about everything from the core language to the standard library, to programming paradigms to the language's philosophy. [Review] Note: All releases of the C++ standard are tracked in the question "Where do I find the current C or C++ standard documents?".

• C++ Standard Library Tutorial and Reference (Nicolai Josuttis) (updated for C++11) The introduction and reference for the C++ Standard Library. The second edition (released on April 9, 2012) covers C++11. [Review]

• The C++ IO Streams and Locales (Angelika Langer and Klaus Kreft) There's very little to say about this book except that, if you want to know anything about streams and locales, then this is the one place to find definitive answers. [Review]

C++11/14/17/… References:

• The C++11/14/17 Standard (INCITS/ISO/IEC 14882:2011/2014/2017) This, of course, is the final arbiter of all that is or isn't C++. Be aware, however, that it is intended purely as a reference for experienced users willing to devote considerable time and effort to its understanding. The C++17 standard is released in electronic form for 198 Swiss Francs.

• The C++17 standard is available, but seemingly not in an economical form – directly from the ISO it costs 198 Swiss Francs (about $200 US). For most people, the final draft before standardization is more than adequate (and free). Many will prefer an even newer draft, documenting new features that are likely to be included in C++20.

• Overview of the New C++ (C++11/14) (PDF only) (Scott Meyers) (updated for C++14) These are the presentation materials (slides and some lecture notes) of a three-day training course offered by Scott Meyers, who's a highly respected author on C++. Even though the list of items is short, the quality is high.

• The C++ Core Guidelines (C++11/14/17/…) (edited by Bjarne Stroustrup and Herb Sutter) is an evolving online document consisting of a set of guidelines for using modern C++ well. The guidelines are focused on relatively higher-level issues, such as interfaces, resource management, memory management and concurrency affecting application architecture and library design. The project was announced at CppCon'15 by Bjarne Stroustrup and others and welcomes contributions from the community. Most guidelines are supplemented with a rationale and examples as well as discussions of possible tool support. Many rules are designed specifically to be automatically checkable by static analysis tools.

• The C++ Super-FAQ (Marshall Cline, Bjarne Stroustrup and others) is an effort by the Standard C++ Foundation to unify the C++ FAQs previously maintained individually by Marshall Cline and Bjarne Stroustrup and also incorporating new contributions. The items mostly address issues at an intermediate level and are often written with a humorous tone. Not all items might be fully up to date with the latest edition of the C++ standard yet.

• cppreference.com (C++03/11/14/17/…) (initiated by Nate Kohl) is a wiki that summarizes the basic core-language features and has extensive documentation of the C++ standard library. The documentation is very precise but is easier to read than the official standard document and provides better navigation due to its wiki nature. The project documents all versions of the C++ standard and the site allows filtering the display for a specific version. The project was presented by Nate Kohl at CppCon'14.

• The Design and Evolution of C++ (Bjarne Stroustrup) If you want to know why the language is the way it is, this book is where you find answers. This covers everything before the standardization of C++.

• Ruminations on C++ - (Andrew Koenig and Barbara Moo) [Review]

• Advanced C++ Programming Styles and Idioms (James Coplien) A predecessor of the pattern movement, it describes many C++-specific “idioms”. It's certainly a very good book and might still be worth a read if you can spare the time, but quite old and not up-to-date with current C++.

• Large Scale C++ Software Design (John Lakos) Lakos explains techniques to manage very big C++ software projects. Certainly, a good read, if it only was up to date. It was written long before C++ 98 and misses on many features (e.g. namespaces) important for large-scale projects. If you need to work in a big C++ software project, you might want to read it, although you need to take more than a grain of salt with it. The first volume of a new edition is released in 2019.

• Inside the C++ Object Model (Stanley Lippman) If you want to know how virtual member functions are commonly implemented and how base objects are commonly laid out in memory in a multi-inheritance scenario, and how all this affects performance, this is where you will find thorough discussions of such topics.

• The Annotated C++ Reference Manual (Bjarne Stroustrup, Margaret A. Ellis) This book is quite outdated in the fact that it explores the 1989 C++ 2.0 version - Templates, exceptions, namespaces and new casts were not yet introduced. Saying that however, this book goes through the entire C++ standard of the time explaining the rationale, the possible implementations, and features of the language. This is not a book to learn programming principles and patterns on C++, but to understand every aspect of the C++ language.

• Thinking in C++ (Bruce Eckel, 2nd Edition, 2000). Two volumes; is a tutorial style free set of intro level books. Downloads: vol 1, vol 2. Unfortunately they're marred by a number of trivial errors (e.g. maintaining that temporaries are automatically const), with no official errata list. A partial 3^rd party errata list is available at http://www.computersciencelab.com/Eckel.htm, but it is apparently not maintained.

• Scientific and Engineering C++: An Introduction to Advanced Techniques and Examples (John Barton and Lee Nackman) It is a comprehensive and very detailed book that tried to explain and make use of all the features available in C++, in the context of numerical methods. It introduced at the time several new techniques, such as the Curiously Recurring Template Pattern (CRTP, also called Barton-Nackman trick). It pioneered several techniques such as dimensional analysis and automatic differentiation. It came with a lot of compilable and useful code, ranging from an expression parser to a Lapack wrapper. The code is still available online. Unfortunately, the books have become somewhat outdated in the style and C++ features, however, it was an incredible tour-de-force at the time (1994, pre-STL). The chapters on dynamics inheritance are a bit complicated to understand and not very useful. An updated version of this classic book that includes move semantics and the lessons learned from the STL would be very nice.

If I understand the situation correctly, you are just passing json data through the http body, instead of application/x-www-form-urlencoded data.

You can fetch this data with this snippet:

php://input is a so called wrapper.

php://input is a read-only stream that allows you to read raw data from the request body. In the case of POST requests, it is preferable to use php://input instead of $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA as it does not depend on special php.ini directives. Moreover, for those cases where $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA is not populated by default, it is a potentially less memory intensive alternative to activating always_populate_raw_post_data. php://input is not available with enctype="multipart/form-data".

Suppose I created an immutable Rectangle class like this:

Good abstraction usually implies good encapsulation.

An example of good abstraction is a generic database connection class. Its public interface is database-agnostic, and is very simple, yet allows me to do what I want with the connection. And you see? There's also encapsulation there, because the class must have all the low-level handles and calls inside.

You are close, but the parameter you pass to SecureStringToBSTR must be a SecureString. You appear to be passing the result of ConvertFrom-SecureString, which is an encrypted standard string. So call ConvertTo-SecureString on this before passing to SecureStringToBSTR.

3. Your subscripts are off - you're trying to give two indices into a$x, which is just the column (an atomic vector).

I'd fix up 3. to get to a$x[is.na(a$x)] <- 0

Build a release version, and the .app file is under build/Release folder of your project. Just copy it to Applications folder of your friend's machine. I don't think you need to build a installer.

I'm not aware of anything in base R, but it's straight-forward to make a function to do this using substr and nchar:

You need no sorted list. You need no sorting at all.

I need to add/remove keys from the list when object is added / removed from database.

But not immediately, the removal can wait. Use an ArrayList containing the ID's all alive objects plus at most some bounded percentage of deleted objects. Use a separate HashSet to keep track of deleted objects.

The only tricky part is the insert which has to check if an already deleted ID was resurrected.

The delete ensures that no more than 10% of elements in mostlyAliveIds are deleted IDs. When this happens, they get all removed in one sweep (I didn't check the JDK sources, but I hope, they do it right) and the show goes on.

With no more than 10% of dead IDs, the overhead of selectOne is no more than 10% on the average.

I'm pretty sure that it's faster than any sorting as the amortized complexity is O(n).

According to the w3 spec section 4.6.3 for XMLHttpRequest a user agent should honor the Set-Cookie header. So the answer is yes you should be able to.

Setup 1: compile your own glibc without dedicated GCC and use it

This setup might work and is quick as it does not recompile the whole GCC toolchain, just glibc.

But it is not reliable as it uses host C runtime objects such as crt1.o, crti.o, and crtn.o provided by glibc. This is mentioned at: https://sourceware.org/glibc/wiki/Testing/Builds?action=recall&rev=21#Compile_against_glibc_in_an_installed_location Those objects do early setup that glibc relies on, so I wouldn't be surprised if things crashed in wonderful and awesomely subtle ways.

For a more reliable setup, see Setup 2 below.

Setup 2: crosstool-NG pristine setup

This is an alternative to setup 1, and it is the most correct setup I've achieved far: everything is correct as far as I can observe, including the C runtime objects such as crt1.o, crti.o, and crtn.o.

In this setup, we will compile a full dedicated GCC toolchain that uses the glibc that we want.

The only downside to this method is that the build will take longer. But I wouldn't risk a production setup with anything less.

crosstool-NG is a set of scripts that downloads and compiles everything from source for us, including GCC, glibc and binutils.

Yes the GCC build system is so bad that we need a separate project for that.

This setup is only not perfect because crosstool-NG does not support building the executables without extra -Wl flags, which feels weird since we've built GCC itself. But everything seems to work, so this is only an inconvenience.

Get crosstool-NG, configure and build it:

Note however that restarting at an intermediate step resets the installation directory to the state it had during that step. I.e., you will have a rebuilt libc - but no final compiler built with this libc (and hence, no compiler libraries like libstdc++ either).

I'm not about to repeat all the other answers, but there's one aspect that I haven't yet seen mentioned - it's the story of disappearing data. I don't know where to find it, but...

Basically it's about a web application that mysteriously every few night did loose all its data and nobody knew why. Inspecting the Logs later revealed that the site was found by google or another arbitrary spider, that happily GET (read: GOT) all the links it found on the site - including the "delete this entry" and "are you sure?" links.

Actually - part of this has been mentioned. This is the story behind "don't change data on GET but only on POST". Crawlers will happily follow GET, never POST. Even robots.txt doesn't help against misbehaving crawlers.

Check out Project Silk. Not only does it demonstrate DDD but other cutting edge patterns. This is an excellent resource for any Web Developer. A full overview of the project can be found on MSDN.

There is the systems total file descriptor limit, what do you get from the command:

This returns counts of file descriptors:

To find out what a users file descriptor limit is run the commands:

sudo su - <username>
ulimit -Hn

To find out how many file descriptors are in use by a user run the command:

sudo lsof -u <username> 2>/dev/null | wc -l

So now if you are having a system file descriptor limit issue you will need to edit your /etc/sysctl.conf file and add, or modify it it already exists, a line with fs.file-max and set it to a value large enough to deal with the number of file descriptors you need and reboot.

The psutil library gives you information about CPU, RAM, etc., on a variety of platforms:

psutil is a module providing an interface for retrieving information on running processes and system utilization (CPU, memory) in a portable way by using Python, implementing many functionalities offered by tools like ps, top and Windows task manager.

It currently supports Linux, Windows, OSX, Sun Solaris, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and NetBSD, both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, with Python versions from 2.6 to 3.5 (users of Python 2.4 and 2.5 may use 2.1.3 version).

One trick that I like to use is to set the inter-field separator (IFS) to the delimiter character. This is especially handy for iterating through the space or return delimited results from the stdout of any of a number of unix commands.

Below is an example using semicolons (as you had mentioned in your question):

This will make a read-only static property, but it will still allow you to alter the content of the array returned, but when you call the property again, you will get the original, unaltered array again.

For clarification, this code is the same as (or actually a shorthand for):

I'm on Ubuntu. I used apt-get to install node. Npm was not included in that package, so it had to be installed separately. I assumed that would work, but apparently the npm version in the Ubuntu distribution was outdated.

The node wiki has this instruction:

Every method in HtmlHelper class has a twin with For suffix. Html.Hidden takes a string as an argument that you must provide but Html.HiddenFor takes an Expression that if you view is a strongly typed view you can benefit from this and feed that method a lambda expression like this

o=>o.SomeProperty 

instead of "SomeProperty" in the case of using Html.Hidden method.

I don't have enough reputation to comment, so I hope this is seen by people using the above "correct" answer:

Since php 5.5 the /e modifier in preg_replace() has been deprecated completely and the preg_match above will error out. The php documentation recommends using preg_match_callback in its place.

Please find the following solution as an alternative to the above proposed preg_match.

Spring cannot instantiate your TestController because its only constructor requires a parameter. You can add a no-arg constructor or you add @Autowired annotation to the constructor:

Decimals and Floats/Doubles cannot be compared without a cast whereas Floats and Doubles can.

Decimals also allow the encoding or trailing zeros.

I found that the RatingBar stretched to a maximum number of stars because it was enclosed in a Table with the attribute android:stretchColumns = "*".

Once I took stretchCoulumns off all columns, the RatingBar displayed according to the android:numStars value

post.capabilities.items will still be defined because it's an empty array, if you check post.capabilities.items.length it should work fine because 0 is falsy.

I guess the uname answer is unbeatable, mainly in terms of cleanliness.

If I remember correctly, the Python standard lib doesn't include tree data structures for the same reason that the .NET base class library doesn't: locality of memory is reduced, resulting in more cache misses. PDFBox contains tools for text extraction.

iText has more low-level support for text manipulation, but you'd have to write a considerable amount of code to get text extraction.

iText in Action contains a good overview of the limitations of text extraction from PDF, regardless of the library used (Section 18.2: Extracting and editing text), and a convincing explanation why the library does not have text extraction support. In short, it's relatively easy to write a code that will handle simple cases, but it's basically impossible to extract text from PDF in general.

Alternative solution

The above is the neatest solution, as you don't need to over-ride any styles. The alternative would be to stick with your current set-up, and over-ride the background style for the inner table, like this:

PHP is run server-side. JavaScript is run client-side in the browser of the user requesting the page. By the time the JavaScript is executed, there is no access to PHP on the server whatsoever. Please read this article with details about client-side vs server-side coding.

What happens in a nutshell is this:

• You click a link in your browser on your computer under your desk
• The browser creates an HTTP request and sends it to a server on the Internet
• The server checks if he can handle the request
• If the request is for a PHP page, the PHP interpreter is started
• The PHP interpreter will run all PHP code in the page you requested
• The PHP interpreter will NOT run any JS code, because it has no clue about it
• The server will send the page assembled by the interpreter back to your browser
• Your browser will render the page and show it to you
• JavaScript is executed on your computer

In your case, PHP will write the JS code into the page, so it can be executed when the page is rendered in your browser. By that time, the PHP part in your JS snippet does no longer exist. It was executed on the server already. It created a variable $result that contained a SQL query string. You didn't use it, so when the page is send back to your browser, it's gone. Have a look at the sourcecode when the page is rendered in your browser. You will see that there is nothing at the position you put the PHP code.

The only way to do what you are looking to do is either:

• do a redirect to a PHP script or
• do an AJAX call to a PHP script

with the values you want to be insert into the database.

Assuming your example text is representative of all the text, one line would consume about 75 bytes on my machine:

Doing some rough math:

75 bytes * 8,000,000 lines / 1024 / 1024 = ~572 MB

So roughly 572 meg to store the strings alone for one of these files. Once you start adding in additional, similarly structured and sized files, you'll quickly approach your virtual address space limits, as mentioned in @ShadowRanger's answer.

If upgrading your python isn't feasible for you, or if it only kicks the can down the road (you have finite physical memory after all), you really have two options: write your results to temporary files in-between loading in and reading the input files, or write your results to a database. Since you need to further post-process the strings after aggregating them, writing to a database would be the superior approach.

Ruby

Ruby 1.9 has a default JSON gem with C extensions. You can use it with

There is no way to use the switch statement for what you want it to do. The switch statement must be supplied with integral types, which does not include complex types such as a "Type" object, or any other object type for that matter.

You should be using pip to install packages, since it gives you uninstall capabilities.

Also, look into virtualenv. It works well with pip and gives you a sandbox so you can explore new stuff without accidentally hosing your system-wide install.

Another intuitive simple trick to debug especially script inside html returned by ajax, is to temporary put console.log("test") inside the script.

Once you have fired the event, open up the console tab inside the developer tools. you will see the source file link shown up at the right side of the "test" debug print statement. just click on the source (something like VM4xxx) and you can now set the break point.

A request to list "Number of employees in each department" or "Display how many people work in each department" is the same as "For each department, list the number of employees", this must include departments with no employees. In the sample database, Operations has 0 employees. So a LEFT OUTER JOIN should be used.

finally is for defining "clean up actions". The finally clause is executed in any event before leaving the try statement, whether an exception (even if you do not handle it) has occurred or not.

A static library(.a) is a library that can be linked directly into the final executable produced by the linker,it is contained in it and there is no need to have the library into the system where the executable will be deployed.

A shared library(.so) is a library that is linked but not embedded in the final executable, so will be loaded when the executable is launched and need to be present in the system where the executable is deployed.

A dynamic link library on windows(.dll) is like a shared library(.so) on linux but there are some differences between the two implementations that are related to the OS (Windows vs Linux) :

A DLL can define two kinds of functions: exported and internal. The exported functions are intended to be called by other modules, as well as from within the DLL where they are defined. Internal functions are typically intended to be called only from within the DLL where they are defined.

An SO library on Linux doesn't need special export statement to indicate exportable symbols, since all symbols are available to an interrogating process.

viewWillAppear:animated:, one of the most confusing methods in the iOS SDKs in my opinion, is never be invoked in such a situation, i.e., application switching. That method is only invoked according to the relationship between the view controller's view and the application's window, i.e., the message is sent to a view controller only if its view appears on the application's window, not on the screen.

When your application goes background, obviously the topmost views of the application window are no longer visible to the user. In your application window's perspective, however, they are still the topmost views and therefore they did not disappear from the window. Rather, those views disappeared because the application window disappeared. They did not disappeared because they disappeared from the window.

Therefore, when the user switches back to your application, they obviously seem to appear on the screen, because the window appears again. But from the window's perspective, they haven't disappeared at all. Therefore the view controllers never get the viewWillAppear:animated message.

My workmates and I have different Gemfile.lock, because we use different platforms, windows and mac, and our server is linux.

We decide to remove Gemfile.lock in repo and create Gemfile.lock.server in git repo, just like database.yml. Then before deploy it on server, we copy Gemfile.lock.server to Gemfile.lock on server using cap deploy hook

Check all the references carefully

• Version remains same on target machine and local machine
• If assembly is referenced from GAC, ensure that proper version is loaded

For me cleaning entire solution by deleting manually, updating (removing and adding) references again with version in sync with target machine and then building with with Copy Local > False for GAC assemblies solves the problem.

There is a specific method to do this:

Make sure that your line endings are standard Unix line feeds, i.e. \n (LF) only.

Using Windows line endings \r\n (CRLF) line endings will break the command line break.

This is because having \ at the end of a line with Windows line ending translates to \ \r \n.
As Mark correctly explains above:

The line-continuation will fail if you have whitespace after the backslash and before the newline.

This includes not just space () or tabs (\t) but also the carriage return (\r).

XML Schemas describe hierarchial data models and may not map well to a relational data model. Mapping XSD's to database tables is very similar mapping objects to database tables, in fact you could use a framework like Castor that does both, it allows you to take a XML schema and generate classes, database tables, and data access code. I suppose there are now many tools that do the same thing, but there will be a learning curve and the default mappings will most like not be what you want, so you have to spend time customizing whatever tool you use.

XSLT might be the fastest way to generate exactly the code that you want. If it is a small schema hardcoding it might be faster than evaluating and learing a bunch of new technologies.

There are several other ways, besides using the in operator (easiest):

On a sorted column, you can also try this idea:

I used to write my own error logging until I discovered ELMAH. I've never been able to get the emailing part down quite as perfectly as ELMAH does.

For file Type you can rely on FileExtentions and for writing it to disk you can use BinaryWriter. or a FileStream.

Not sure why they removed the option to just right click on the database and restore like you could in SQL Server Management Studio 2008 and earlier, but as mentioned above you can restore from a .BAK file with:

Notice the 00 on str[5]. That's how the print function will know how much it actually needs to send, despite the actual longitude of the vector and the whole content.

A Trap can be identified as a transfer of control, which is initiated by the programmer. The term Trap is used interchangeably with the term Exception (which is an automatically occurring software interrupt). But some may argue that a trap is simply a special subroutine call. So they fall in to the category of software-invoked interrupts. For example, in 80×86 machines, a programmer can use the int instruction to initiate a trap. Because a trap is always unconditional the control will always be transferred to the subroutine associated with the trap. The exact instruction, which invokes the routine for handling the trap is easily identified because an explicit instruction is used to specify a trap.

Instead of parsing this from proc, one can use functions like getrusage() or clock_gettime() and calculate the cpu usage as a ratio or wallclock time and time the process/thread used on the cpu.

A form action set to a JavaScript function is not widely supported, I'm surprised it works in FireFox.

The best is to just set form action to your PHP script; if you need to do anything before submission you can just add to onsubmit

Just stack two bootstrap tables; one for columns, the other for content. No plugins, just pure bootstrap (and that ain't no bs, haha!)

The content table div needs overflow-y:auto, for vertical scroll bars. Had to use table-layout:fixed, otherwise, columns did not line up. Also, had to put the whole thing inside a bootstrap panel to eliminate space between the tables.

Have not tested with custom column widths, but provided you keep the widths consistent between the tables, it should work.
