Function overloading is done when you want to have the same function with different parameters

The up-voted answer is valid.. and this information helped me quite a bit. I know this topic has been discussed before but I wanted to add some additional input. People are saying that you must "manually edit" the application.config file in the Users IISExpress/Config directory. This was a big issue for me because I wanted to distribute the configuration via Source control to various developers.
What I found is that you can automate the updating of this file using the "C:\Program Files\IIS Express\appcmd.exe" program. It took a while to find out the control parameters but Ill share my findings here. Essentially you can make a .bat file that runs both the NETSH command and the APPCMD.EXE (and perhaps swap out a host file if you like) to make host header configuration easy with IIS Express.
Your install bat file would look something like this:

Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 can be installed on windows 10 without having installation media. The file you need is called microsoft-windows-netfx3-ondemand-package.cab

Firstly, add path of visual studio common tools (c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\Tools
) into the system path. To learn how to add a path into system path, please check this website:

After that, whenever you need, open a command line and execute vsvars32.bat
to add all required visual studio tools' paths into the system path.

Just finished writing my own parser. I tried to use various parser found here, none seems to work with both ksh93 (AIX) and bash (Linux).
It's old programming style - parsing line by line. Pretty fast since it used few external commands. A bit slower because of all the eval required for dynamic name of the array.
The ini support 3 special syntaxs:
I used all thoses syntax to have pretty complex, re-usable ini file. Useful to install products when installing a new OS - we do that a lot.
Values can be accessed with ${ini[$section.$item]}. The array MUST be defined before calling this.

Some context that I haven't seen clearly stated in the existing answers (and also a lot has changed since 2012!):
If you can control both the 3rd party iframe and the parent page (i.e. you are able to insert JavaScript on the parent page), then several workarounds are available. I would suggest the most elegant of these is making use of the postMessage API as described by @Frank's answer, as a) this does not require any redirects and b) does not require any user interactions.
If you do NOT control both the 3rd party iframe and the parent page, e.g. you have a widget hosted on a site you do not control, then most of the answers posted here will not work in Safari as of May 2020, and will stop working in Chrome around 2022. That is, unless a user has already visited your domain or interacts with the iframe, you are not able to set cookies. However, there are some commercial services offering solutions to solve this problem, such as CloudCookie.io

Step 2: Now extract this .zip file in the same folder (or NEW FOLDER).

My experience when using Dapper to connect to MySQL is that it does matter. I changed a non nullable bit(1) to a nullable tinyint(1) by using the following script:
ALTER TABLE TableName MODIFY Setting BOOLEAN null;
Then Dapper started throwing Exceptions. I tried to look at the difference before and after the script. And noticed the bit(1) had changed to tinyint(1).
I then ran:

Which solved the problem.

You can't use @android:style/TextAppearance
as the parent for the whole app's theme; that's why koopaking3's solution seems quite broken.
To change default text colour everywhere in your app using a custom theme, try something like this. Works at least on Android 4.0+ (API level 14+).

Yes, basically what you done is right, except you forget that JavaScript is sync in many cases, so you running the code before your DOM gets loaded, there are few ways to solve this:
1) Check to see if DOM fully loaded, then do whatever you want, you can listen to DOMContentLoaded for example:

You tried to do a.setText(a1). a1 is an int value, but setText() requires a string value. For this reason you need use String.valueOf(a1) to pass the value of a1 as a String and not as an int to a.setText(), like so:

that was the exact solution to the problem with my case.
You can avoid using the --onto parameter by making a temp branch on the commit you like and then use rebase in its simple form:

I had the same problem in production (development everything worked), in my case the DB server is not on the same machine as the app, so finally what worked is just to migrate by writing:

To start, let's look at how existing JSF implementations like Mojarra and MyFaces and JSF component libraries like PrimeFaces and OmniFaces use it. No one of them use resource libraries this way. They use it (under the covers, by @ResourceDependency
or UIViewRoot#addComponentResource()

I've found the issue happens when you have multiple projects building in parallel and one or more of the projects are attempting to copy the same files, creating race conditions that will result in occasional errors. So how to solve it?
There's a lot of options, as above just changing things around could solve the issue for some people. More robust solutions would be...
Restrict the files being copied i.e. instead of xcopy $(TargetDir)*.*"
... instead do xcopy "$(TargetDir)$(TargetName).*"
...
Catch the error and retry i.e:

You can use two different techniques to achieve this.
The first one is with javascript: set the scrollTop property of the scrollable element (e.g. document.body.scrollTop = 1000;

The second is setting the link to point to a specific id in the page e.g.

I run into this problem on a regular basis and often use the "add a method" solution. However, there are definitely cases where "add a method" or "compute it in the view" don't work (or don't work well). E.g. when you are caching template fragments and need some non-trivial DB computation to produce it. You don't want to do the DB work unless you need to, but you won't know if you need to until you are deep in the template logic.
Some other possible solutions:
Use the {% expr <expression> as <var_name> %} template tag found at http://www.djangosnippets.org/snippets/9/ The expression is any legal Python expression with your template's Context as your local scope.
Change your template processor. Jinja2 (http://jinja.pocoo.org/2/) has syntax that is almost identical to the Django template language, but with full Python power available. It's also faster. You can do this wholesale, or you might limit its use to templates that you are working on, but use Django's "safer" templates for designer-maintained pages.

Since Git 1.7.9 (released in late January 2012), there is a neat mechanism in Git to avoid having to type your password all the time for HTTP / HTTPS, called credential helpers. (Thanks to dazonic for pointing out this new feature in the comments below.)
With Git 1.7.9 or later, you can just use one of the following credential helpers:
git config --global credential.helper cache
... which tells Git to keep your password cached in memory for (by default) 15 minutes. You can set a longer timeout with:
git config --global credential.helper "cache --timeout=3600"
(That example was suggested in the GitHub help page for Linux.) You can also store your credentials permanently if so desired, see the other answers below.

)?
For this slightly different scenario I want to share with you what I found out.
In the solutions below, I am assuming the following declaration for nodes

Background
As a starting point, I found a good answer here. The idea is to convert the anonymous data type into a dictionary by using reflection. The dictionary makes it easy to access the properties, since their names are stored as keys (you can access them like myDict["myProperty"]
).
Inspired by the code in the link above, I created an extension class providing GetProp
, UnanonymizeProperties
and UnanonymizeListItems
as extension methods, which simplify access to anonymous properties. With this class you can simply do the query as follows:

If you're not forced to use an older C# compiler, keep it as is, because using null-conditionals makes null handling much easier.
Note: Like the other solution with dynamic, this solution is also using late binding, but in this case you're not getting an exception - it will simply not find the element if you're referring to a non-existing property, as long as you keep the null-conditional operators.
What might be useful for some applications is that the property is referred to via a string in solution 2, hence it can be parameterized.

This is called the "shape" in NumPy, and can be requested via the .shape
attribute:

To find the current thread Id use - `Thread.CurrentThread.ManagedThreadId'. But in this case you might need the current win32 thread id - use pInvoke to get it with this function:

First you'll need to save the managed thread id and win32 thread id connection - use a dictionary that maps a win32 id to managed thread.

Global variables certainly do exist in GAS, but you must understand the client/server relationship of the environment in order to use them correctly - please see this question: Global variables in Google Script (spreadsheet)

There's 3 satellites at least that you must be able to receive from of the 24-32 out there, and they each broadcast a time from a synchronized atomic clock. The differences in those times that you receive at any one time tell you how long the broadcast took to reach you, and thus where you are in relation to the satellites. So, it sort of reads from something, but it doesn't connect to that thing. Note that this doesn't tell you your orientation, many GPSes fake that (and speed) by interpolating data points.
If you don't count the cost of the receiver, it's a free service. Apparently there's higher resolution services out there that are restricted to military use. Those are likely a fixed cost for a license to decrypt the signals along with a confidentiality agreement.
Now your device may support GPS tracking, in which case it might communicate, say via GPRS, to a database which will store the location the device has found itself to be at, so that multiple devices may be tracked. That would require some kind of connection.
Maps are either stored on the device or received over a connection. Navigation is computed based on those maps' databases. These likely are a licensed item with a cost associated, though if you use a service like Google Maps they have the license with NAVTEQ and others.
let vs var. It's all about scope.
var variables are global and can be accessed basically everywhere, while let variables are not global and only exist until a closing parenthesis kills them.
See my example below, and note how the lion (let) variable acts differently in the two console.logs; it becomes out of scope in the 2nd console.log.

if I understand your question correctly, you want to know the row number during a conditional loop over an internal table. You can use the system variable sy-tabix if you work with internal tables. Please refer to the ABAP documentation if you need more information (especially the chapter on internal table processing).

To iterate through all the inputs in a form you can do this:

This uses the jquery :input selector to get ALL types of inputs, if you just want text you can do :

Linking the scrollers worked, but in the way it's written it creates a loop which makes scrolling slow in most browsers if you click on the part of the lighter scrollbar and hold it (not when dragging the scroller).
I fixed it with a flag:
