pip freeze has --all flag to show all the packages.

Other difference is the output it renders, that you can check by running the commands.

I have solved this by handling the "ModelState" dictionary, which is contained by the controller. The ModelState dictionary includes all the members that have to be validated.

Here is the solution:

If you need to implement a conditional validation based on some field (e.g. if A=true, then B is required), while maintaining property level error messaging (this is not true for the custom validators that are on object level) you can achieve this by handling "ModelState", by simply removing unwanted validations from it.

UPDATE:

This is my final implementation: I have used an interface on the model and the action attribute that validates the model which implements the said interface. Interface prescribes the Validate(ModelStateDictionary modelState) method. The attribute on action just calls the Validate(modelState) on IValidatorSomething.

I did not want to complicate this answer, so I did not mention the final implementation details (which, at the end, matter in production code).

MySQL has a function called ADDTIME for adding two times together - so you can do the whole thing in MySQL (provided you're using >= MySQL 4.1.3).

Something like (untested):

You can use the from and size parameters to page through all your data. This could be very slow depending on your data and how much is in the index.

I too have struggled with this new pagespeed metric.

Although I have found no practical way to get my score back up to %100 there are a few things I have found helpful.

Combining all css into one file helped a lot. All my sites are back up to %95 - %98.

The only other thing I could think of was to inline all the necessary css (which appears to be most of it - at least for my pages) on the first page to get the sweet high score. Although it may help your speed score this will probably make your page load slower though.

I was also facing the same problem when I am using the facebook authentication method. But I rectify that issue with following changes in Facebook api (Apps >> My App >> Basic).

1. I removed the url which i have given in ===> App on Facebook (Canvas URLs)
2. I gave site url only in ===> Website with Facebook Login option

Then i gave that AppId and App Secret in my webpage.

So by clicking on login button, It ask for access permissions then it redirect it to give url (Website with Facebook Login ).

Another solution could be, that you deleted a file from your Project by just removing it in your file system, instead of removing it within your project.

I had this same error in an MVC 4 application using Razor. In an attempt to clean up the web.config files, I removed the two webpages: configuration values:

Below is a Swift port of "SAMTextView" ObjC code posted as one of the first handful of replies to the question. I tested it on iOS 8. I tweaked a couple of things, including the bounds offset for the placement of the placeholder text, as the original was too high and too far right (used suggestion in one of the comments to that post).

I know there are a lot of simple solutions, but I like the approach of subclassing UITextView because it's reusable and I don't have to clutter classes utilizing it with the mechanisms.

You can do a post/get using a library which allows you to use HttpClient with strongly-typed callbacks.

The data and the error are available directly via these callbacks.

Traditional approach

In the traditional approach you return Observable<HttpResponse<T>> from Service API. This is tied to HttpResponse.

With this approach you have to use .subscribe(x => ...) in the rest of your code.

This creates a tight coupling between the http layer and the rest of your code.

Strongly-typed callback approach

You only deal with your Models in these strongly-typed callbacks.

Hence, The rest of your code only knows about your Models.

You'll probably want to try textContent instead of innerHTML.

Given innerHTML will return DOM content as a String and not exclusively the "text" in the div. It's fine if you know that your div contains only text but not suitable if every use case. For those cases, you'll probably have to use textContent instead of innerHTML

For example, considering the following markup:

It starts by either looking for 7 or 8 or 9, and then followed by 9 digits.

Looking at Standard .NET event patterns we find

I did most of the suggested stuff here, still didnt work. Tried this and it worked: Open your XAMPP Control Panel, locate the Config button for the Apache module. Click on the Config button and Select PHP (php.ini). Open with any text editor and remove the semi-column before php_openssl. Save and Restart Apache. That should do!

Since C++17 std::map offers two new insertion methods: insert_or_assign() and try_emplace(), as also mentioned in the comment by sp2danny.

insert_or_assign()

Basically, insert_or_assign() is an "improved" version of operator[]. In contrast to operator[], insert_or_assign() doesn't require the map's value type to be default constructible. For example, the following code doesn't compile, because MyClass does not have a default constructor:

Moreover, similar to insert(), insert_or_assign() returns a pair<iterator, bool>. The Boolean value is true if an insertion occurred and false if an assignment was done. The iterator points to the element that was inserted or updated.

try_emplace()

Similar to the above, try_emplace() is an "improvement" of emplace(). In contrast to emplace(), try_emplace() doesn't modify its arguments if insertion fails due to a key already existing in the map. For example, the following code attempts to emplace an element with a key that is already stored in the map (see *):

DataFrame has a private function _slice() to slice the DataFrame, and it allows the parameter axis to determine which axis to slice. The __getitem__() for DataFrame doesn't set the axis while invoking _slice(). So the _slice() slice it by default axis 0.

In typescript it is possible to do an instanceof check in an if statement and you will have access to the same variable with the Typed properties.

So let's say MarkerSymbolInfo has a property on it called marker. You can do the following:

I was having the same problems and believe I have solved it. I used the link meta tag as mentioned here to point to the image I wanted, but the key is that if you do that FB won't pull any other images as choices. Also if your image is too big, you won't have any choices at all.

I implemented compile on save with gulp task using gulp-typescript and incremental build. This allows to control compilation whatever you want. For Intellij IDEA (and Android Studio) each library is a Module. Think of a Module in Android Studio as an equivalent to project in Eclipse. Project in Android Studio is a collection of modules. Modules can be runnable applications or library modules.

So, in order to add a new android library project to you need to create a module of type "Android library". Then add this library module to the dependency list of your main module (Application module).

I agree with @CommonsWare that it seems a bit odd that you want to intercept the request to process the JSON yourself. Most of the time the POJO has all the data you need, so no need to mess around in JSONObject land. I suspect your specific problem might be better solved using a custom gson TypeAdapter or a retrofit Converter if you need to manipulate the JSON. However, retrofit provides more the just JSON parsing via Gson. It also manages a lot of the other tedious tasks involved in REST requests. Just because you don't want to use one of the features, doesn't mean you have to throw the whole thing out. There are times you just want to get the raw stream, so here is how to do it -

First, if you are using Retrofit 2, you should start using the Call API. Instead of sending an object to convert as the type parameter, use ResponseBody from okhttp --

betterBuildUrls()

Instead of creating our template using brute force, we can piece it together programmatically. This will have the advantage that we can re-use the code without needing to remember to change the template.

Each question in a form is an item. For this example, let's assume the form has only 4 questions, as you've described them. Item [0] is "Name", [1] is "Birthday", and so on.

We can create a form response, which we won't submit - instead, we'll partially complete the form, only to get the pre-filled form URL. Since the Forms API understands the data types of each item, we can avoid manipulating the string format of dates and other types, which simplifies our code somewhat.

Any date item in the pre-filled form URL is expected to be in this format: yyyy-mm-dd. This helper function extends the Date object with a new method to handle the conversion.

When reading dates from a spreadsheet, you'll end up with a javascript Date object, as long as the format of the data is recognizable as a date. (Your example is not recognizable, so instead of May 9th 1975 you could use 5/9/1975.)

<TL;DR> The problem is rather simple, actually: you are not matching the declared encoding (in the XML declaration) with the datatype of the input parameter. If you manually added <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><test/> to the string, then declaring the SqlParameter to be of type SqlDbType.Xml or SqlDbType.NVarChar would give you the "unable to switch the encoding" error. Then, when inserting manually via T-SQL, since you switched the declared encoding to be utf-16, you were clearly inserting a VARCHAR string (not prefixed with an upper-case "N", hence an 8-bit encoding, such as UTF-8) and not an NVARCHAR string (prefixed with an upper-case "N", hence the 16-bit UTF-16 LE encoding).

The fix should have been as simple as:

1. In the first case, when adding the declaration stating encoding="utf-8": simply don't add the XML declaration.
2. In the second case, when adding the declaration stating encoding="utf-16": either
   1. simply don't add the XML declaration, OR
   2. simply add an "N" to the input parameter type: SqlDbType.NVarChar instead of SqlDbType.VarChar :-) (or possibly even switch to using SqlDbType.Xml)

(Detailed response is below)

All of the answers here are over-complicated and unnecessary (regardless of the 121 and 184 up-votes for Christian's and Jon's answers, respectively). They might provide working code, but none of them actually answer the question. The issue is that nobody truly understood the question, which ultimately is about how the XML datatype in SQL Server works. Nothing against those two clearly intelligent people, but this question has little to nothing to do with serializing to XML. Saving XML data into SQL Server is much easier than what is being implied here.

It doesn't really matter how the XML is produced as long as you follow the rules of how to create XML data in SQL Server. I have a more thorough explanation (including working example code to illustrate the points outlined below) in an answer on this question: How to solve “unable to switch the encoding” error when inserting XML into SQL Server, but the basics are:

1. The XML declaration is optional
2. The XML datatype stores strings always as UCS-2 / UTF-16 LE
3. If your XML is UCS-2 / UTF-16 LE, then you:
   1. pass in the data as either NVARCHAR(MAX) or XML / SqlDbType.NVarChar (maxsize = -1) or SqlDbType.Xml, or if using a string literal then it must be prefixed with an upper-case "N".
   2. if specifying the XML declaration, it must be either "UCS-2" or "UTF-16" (no real difference here)
4. If your XML is 8-bit encoded (e.g. "UTF-8" / "iso-8859-1" / "Windows-1252"), then you:
   1. need to specify the XML declaration IF the encoding is different than the code page specified by the default Collation of the database
   2. you must pass in the data as VARCHAR(MAX) / SqlDbType.VarChar (maxsize = -1), or if using a string literal then it must not be prefixed with an upper-case "N".
   3. Whatever 8-bit encoding is used, the "encoding" noted in the XML declaration must match the actual encoding of the bytes.
   4. The 8-bit encoding will be converted into UTF-16 LE by the XML datatype

With the points outlined above in mind, and given that strings in .NET are always UTF-16 LE / UCS-2 LE (there is no difference between those in terms of encoding), we can answer your questions:

Is there a reason why I shouldn't use StringWriter to serialize an Object when I need it as a string afterwards?

No, your StringWriter code appears to be just fine (at least I see no issues in my limited testing using the 2nd code block from the question).

Wouldn't setting the encoding to UTF-16 (in the xml tag) work then?

It isn't necessary to provide the XML declaration. When it is missing, the encoding is assumed to be UTF-16 LE if you pass the string into SQL Server as NVARCHAR (i.e. SqlDbType.NVarChar) or XML (i.e. SqlDbType.Xml). The encoding is assumed to be the default 8-bit Code Page if passing in as VARCHAR (i.e. SqlDbType.VarChar). If you have any non-standard-ASCII characters (i.e. values 128 and above) and are passing in as VARCHAR, then you will likely see "?" for BMP characters and "??" for Supplementary Characters as SQL Server will convert the UTF-16 string from .NET into an 8-bit string of the current Database's Code Page before converting it back into UTF-16 / UCS-2. But you shouldn't get any errors.

On the other hand, if you do specify the XML declaration, then you must pass into SQL Server using the matching 8-bit or 16-bit datatype. So if you have a declaration stating that the encoding is either UCS-2 or UTF-16, then you must pass in as SqlDbType.NVarChar or SqlDbType.Xml. Or, if you have a declaration stating that the encoding is one of the 8-bit options (i.e. UTF-8, Windows-1252, iso-8859-1, etc), then you must pass in as SqlDbType.VarChar. Failure to match the declared encoding with the proper 8 or 16 -bit SQL Server datatype will result in the "unable to switch the encoding" error that you were getting.

For example, using your StringWriter-based serialization code, I simply printed the resulting string of the XML and used it in SSMS. As you can see below, the XML declaration is included (because StringWriter does not have an option to OmitXmlDeclaration like XmlWriter does), which poses no problem so long as you pass the string in as the correct SQL Server datatype:

You were clearly passing the string in as SqlDbType.VarChar. Switch to SqlDbType.NVarChar and it will work without needing to go through the extra step of removing the XML declaration. This is preferred over keeping SqlDbType.VarChar and removing the XML declaration because this solution will prevent data loss when the XML includes non-standard-ASCII characters. For example:

As you can see, there is no error this time, but now there is data-loss 🙀.

Various answers and notes are claiming that finish() can skip onPause() and onStop() and directly execute onDestroy(). To be fair, the Android documentation on this (http://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/Activity.html) notes "Activity is finishing or being destroyed by the system" which is pretty ambiguous but might suggest that finish() can jump to onDestroy().

The JavaDoc on finish() is similarly disappointing (http://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/Activity.html#finish()) and does not actually note what method(s) are called in response to finish().

So I wrote this mini-app below which logs each state upon entry. It includes a button which calls finish() -- so you can see the logs of which methods get fired. This experiment would suggested that finish() does indeed also call onPause() and onStop(). Here is the output I get:

Hmmm -- since this is handled by the JVM, I delved into the OpenJDK VM source code a little bit, thinking that maybe what's done by OpenJDK mimics what's done by Java 6 and prior. It isn't reassuring that there's a way to do this other than on Windows.

On Windows, OpenJDK's get_temp_directory() function makes a Win32 API call to GetTempPath(); this is how on Windows, Java reflects the value of the TMP environment variable.

On Linux and Solaris, the same get_temp_directory() functions return a static value of /tmp/.

I don't know if the actual JDK6 follows these exact conventions, but by the behavior on each of the listed platforms, it seems like they do.

one possibly simple method ( that may not meet different users needs ) is the use of shell PROMPT.it is a simple solution that can be useful in some cases. You can use the bash prompting feature as in the example below:

The above command will result in changing the shell prompt to :

[HH:MM:SS username@hostname]$ 

Each time you run a command (or hit enter) returning back to the shell prompt, the prompt will display current time.

notes:
1) beware that if you waited for sometime before you type your next command, then this time need to be considered, i.e the time displayed in the shell prompt is the timestamp when the shell prompt was displayed, not when you enter command. some users choose to hit Enter key to get a new prompt with a new timestamp before they are ready for the next command.
2) There are other available options and modifiers that can be used to change the bash prompt, refer to ( man bash ) for more details.

To call the camera you can use:

The stream should really by disposed of even if there's an exception (quite likely on file I/O) - using clauses are my favourite approach for this, so for writing your MemoryStream, you can use:

No, '.outer .inner' will look for all elements with the .inner class that also have an element with the .outer class as an ancestor. '.outer.inner' (no space) would give the results you're thinking of.

'.outer > .inner' will look for immediate children of an element with the .outer class for elements with the .inner class.

Both '.outer .inner' and '.outer > .inner' should work for your example, although the selectors are fundamentally different and you should be wary of this.

In my case I refactored code and put the creation of the Dialog in a separate class. I only handed over the clicked View because a View contains a context object already. This led to the same error message although all ran on the MainThread.

In my case I had virtual dir. When I accessed main WCF Service in main dir it was working fine but accessing WCF service in virtual dir was throwing an error. I had following code in web.config for both main and virtual dir.

if it's a size problem, please notice that 2 text lines and a padding style have great chance to have a height superior to 30px.

For example, if your font size is 12 px and your div padding is 5 px, a one text line div height will be 5px (padding-top) + 12px + 5 px (padding-bottom) = 22px < 30px so no problem,

There have been a slew of recent changes in this arena, so I thought a fresh answer would be helpful.

If you need superb performance, you should avoid LINQ and regular expressions in this case. I did some performance benchmarking, and it seems that if you want to strip white space from beginning and end of the string, string.Trim() is your ultimate function.

SQLAlchemy's ORM is meant to be used together with the SQL layer, not hide it. But you do have to keep one or two things in mind when using the ORM and plain SQL in the same transaction. Basically, from one side, ORM data modifications will only hit the database when you flush the changes from your session. From the other side, SQL data manipulation statements don't affect the objects that are in your session.

So if you say

it will do what it says, go fetch all the objects from the database, modify all the objects and then when it's time to flush the changes to the database, update the rows one by one.

Instead you should do this:

This will execute as one query as you would expect, and because at least the default session configuration expires all data in the session on commit you don't have any stale data issues.

In the almost-released 0.5 series you could also use this method for updating:

I just installed Visual Studio Code v1.25.1. on a Windows 7 Professional SP1 machine. I wanted to understand workspaces in detail, so I spent a few hours figuring out how they work in this version of Visual Studio Code. I thought the results of my research might be of interest to the community.

First, workspaces are referred to by Microsoft in the Visual Studio Code documentation as "multi-root workspaces." In plain English that means "a multi-folder (A.K.A "root") work environment." A Visual Studio Code workspace is simply a collection of folders - any collection you desire, in any order you wish. The typical collection of folders constitutes a software development project. However, a folder collection could be used for anything else for which software code is being developed.

The mechanics behind how Visual Studio Code handles workspaces is a bit complicated. I think the quickest way to convey what I learned is by giving you a set of instructions that you can use to see how workspaces work on your computer. I am assuming that you are starting with a fresh install of Visual Studio Code v1.25.1. If you are using a production version of Visual Studio Code I don't recommend that you follow my instructions because you may lose some or all of your existing Visual Studio Code configuration! If you already have a test version of Visual Studio Code v1.25.1 installed, **and you are willing to lose any configuration that already exists, the following must be done to revert your Visual Studio Code to a fresh installation state:

Delete the following folder (if it exists):

  C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Code\Workspaces (where "%username%" is the name of the currently logged-on user)

You will be adding folders to Visual Studio Code to create a new workspace. If any of the folders you intend to use to create this new workspace have previously been used with Visual Studio Code, please delete the ".vscode" subfolder (if it exists) within each of the folders that will be used to create the new workspace.

Launch Visual Studio Code. If the Welcome page is displayed, close it. Do the same for the Panel (a horizontal pane) if it is displayed. If you received a message that Git isn't installed click "Remind me later." If displayed, also close the "Untitled" code page that was launched as the default code page. If the Explorer pane is not displayed click "View" on the main menu then click "Explorer" to display the Explorer pane. Inside the Explorer pane you should see three (3) View headers - Open Editors, No Folder Opened, and Outline (located at the very bottom of the Explorer pane). Make sure that, at a minimum, the open editors and no folder opened view headers are displayed.

Visual Studio Code displays a button that reads "Open Folder." Click this button and select a folder of your choice. Visual Studio Code will refresh and the name of your selected folder will have replaced the "No Folder Opened" View name. Any folders and files that exist within your selected folder will be displayed beneath the View name.

Now open the Visual Studio Code Preferences Settings file. There are many ways to do this. I'll use the easiest to remember which is menu File → Preferences → Settings. The Settings file is displayed in two columns. The left column is a read-only listing of the default values for every Visual Studio Code feature. The right column is used to list the three (3) types of user settings. At this point in your test only two user settings will be listed - User Settings and Workspace Settings. The User Settings is displayed by default. This displays the contents of your User Settings .json file. To find out where this file is located, simply hover your mouse over the "User Settings" listing that appears under the OPEN EDITORS View in Explorer. This listing in the OPEN EDITORS View is automatically selected when the "User Settings" option in the right column is selected. The path should be:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Code\User\settings.json

This settings.json file is where the User Settings for Visual Studio Code are stored.

Now click the Workspace Settings option in the right column of the Preferences listing. When you do this, a subfolder named ".vscode" is automatically created in the folder you added to Explore a few steps ago. Look at the listing of your folder in Explorer to confirm that the .vscode subfolder has been added. Inside the new .vscode subfolder is another settings.json file. This file contains the workspace settings for the folder you added to Explorer a few steps ago.

At this point you have a single folder whose User Settings are stored at:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Code\User\settings.json

and whose Workspace Settings are stored at:

C:\TheLocationOfYourFolder\settings.json

This is the configuration when a single folder is added to a new installation of Visual Studio Code. Things get messy when we add a second (or greater) folder. That's because we are changing Visual Studio Code's User Settings and Workspace Settings to accommodate multiple folders. In a single-folder environment only two settings.json files are needed as listed above. But in a multi-folder environment a .vscode subfolder is created in each folder added to Explorer and a new file, "workspaces.json," is created to manage the multi-folder environment. The new "workspaces.json" file is created at:

c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Code\Workspaces\%workspace_id%\workspaces.json

The "%workspaces_id%" is a folder with a unique all-number name.

In the Preferences right column there now appears three user setting options - User Settings, Workspace Settings, and Folder Settings. The function of User Settings remains the same as for a single-folder environment. However, the settings file behind the Workspace Settings has been changed from the settings.json file in the single folder's .vscode subfolder to the workspaces.json file located at the workspaces.json file path shown above. The settings.json file located in each folder's .vscode subfolder is now controlled by a third user setting, Folder Options. This is a drop-down selection list that allows for the management of each folder's settings.json file located in each folder's .vscode subfolder. Please note: the .vscode subfolder will not be created in newly-added explorer folders until the newly-added folder has been selected at least once in the folder options user setting.

Notice that the Explorer single folder name has bee changed to "UNTITLED (WORKSPACE)." This indicates the following:

1. A multi-folder workspace has been created with the name "UNTITLED (WORKSPACE)
2. The workspace is named "UNTITLED (WORKSPACE)" to communicate that the workspace has not yet been saved as a separate, unique, workspace file
3. The UNTITLED (WORKSPACE) workspace can have folders added to it and removed from it but it will function as the ONLY workspace environment for Visual Studio Code

The full functionality of Visual Studio Code workspaces is only realized when a workspace is saved as a file that can be reloaded as needed. This provides the capability to create unique multi-folder workspaces (e.g., projects) and save them as files for later use! To do this select menu File → Save Workspace As from the main menu and save the current workspace configuration as a unique workspace file. If you need to create a workspace "from scratch," first save your current workspace configuration (if needed) then right-click each Explorer folder name and click "Remove Folder from Workspace." When all folders have been removed from the workspace, add the folders you require for your new workspace. When you finish adding new folders, simply save the new workspace as a new workspace file.

An important note - Visual Studio Code doesn't "revert" to single-folder mode when only one folder remains in Explorer or when all folders have been removed from Explorer when creating a new workspace "from scratch." The multi-folder workspace configuration that utilizes three user preferences remains in effect. This means that unless you follow the instructions at the beginning of this post, Visual Studio Code can never be returned to a single-folder mode of operation - it will always remain in multi-folder workspace mode.

This error can be due to many many things.

The key here seems the hint about error reading. I see you are working on a flash drive or something similar? Try to run the install on a local folder owned by your current user.

You could also try with sudo, that might solve a permission problem if that's the case.

Another reason why it cannot read could be because it has not downloaded correctly, or saved correctly. A little problem in your network could have caused that, and the cache clean would remove the files and force a refetch but that does not solve your problem. That means it would be more on the save part, maybe it didn't save because of permissions, maybe it didn't not save correctly because it was lacking disk space...

The main problem is that operator [] is used to insert and read a value into and from the map, so it cannot be const. If the key does not exist, it will create a new entry with a default value in it, incrementing the size of the map, that will contain a new key with an empty string ,in this particular case, as a value if the key does not exist yet. You should avoid operator[] when reading from a map and use, as was mention before, "map.at(key)" to ensure bound checking. This is one of the most common mistakes people often do with maps. Deleting the .git folder may cause problems in your git repository. If you want to delete all your commit history but keep the code in its current state, it is very safe to do it as in the following:

Depending on how you're approaching your objective(s), keep in mind that the developer is responsible to Dispose everything that is no longer being used or necessary.

This means: Everything you've created along with your pictureBox (i.e: Graphics, List; etc) shall be disposed whenever it is no longer necessary.

For Instance: Let's say you have a Image File Loaded into your PictureBox, and you wish to somehow Delete that file. If you don't unload the Image File from PictureBox correctly; you won't be able to delete the file, as this will likely throw an Exception saying that the file is being used.

Testing on Chrome, I see that it doesn't allow JSON.parse(String.fromCharCode(0x22, x, 0x22)); where x is 34, 92, or from 0 to 31.

Chars 34 and 92 are the " and \ characters respectively, and they are usually expected and properly escaped. It's chars 0 to 31 that would give you problems.

To help with debugging, before you do JSON.parse(input), first verify that the input doesn't contain problematic characters:

I realize this question is old and has been answered to death, but here's my stab at it. I'm trying to reinvent the wheel here because I was using the currently accepted answer and the mishandling of URL fragments recently bit me in a project.

The function is below. It's quite long, but it was made to be as resilient as possible. I would love suggestions for shortening/improving it. I put together a small jsFiddle test suite for it (or other similar functions). If a function can pass every one of the tests there, I say it's probably good to go.

Update: I came across a cool function for using the DOM to parse URLs, so I incorporated that technique here. It makes the function shorter and more reliable. Props to the author of that function.

You can also pad a string to the required length using Guava's Strings.padEnd(String input, int minLength, char padding)

with .Equals, you also gain the StringComparison options. very handy for ignoring case and other things.

Since == compares the values of a and b (which are pointers) this will only evaluate to true if the pointers point to the same object in memory. .Equals dereferences the pointers and compares the values stored at the pointers. a.Equals(b) would be true here.

and if you change b to:

then a.Equals(b) is false, but

a.Equals(b, StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase) 

would be true

a.CompareTo(b) calls the string's CompareTo function which compares the values at the pointers and returns <0 if the value stored at a is less than the value stored at b, returns 0 if a.Equals(b) is true, and >0 otherwise. However, this is case sensitive, I think there are possibly options for CompareTo to ignore case and such, but don't have time to look now. As others have already stated, this would be done for sorting. Comparing for equality in this manner would result in unecessary overhead.

I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out, but I think this should be enough info to start experimenting if you need more details.

I did not want to redownload the whole repository, so I found a workaround. It worked in my case, but generally I can imagine a lot of things can get broken (so either backup your working copy, or be ready to re-checkout the whole repo if something goes wrong).

The repo address and its UUID are saved in the .svn/wc.db SQLite database file in your working copy. Just open the database (e.g. in SQLite Browser), browse table REPOSITORY, and change the root and uuid column values to the new ones. You can find the UUID of the new repo by issuing svn info NEW_SERVER.

Again, treat this as a last resort method.

For me, the problem was incorrect content type of the served .css file (if it included certain unicode characters).

Changing the content-type to text/css solved the problem.

Just pass a callback as argument like this:

@robertc has it right, but you also need to notice that svg, #container causes the svg to be scaled exponentially for anything but 100% (once for #container and once for svg).

In other words, if I applied 50% h/w to both elements, it's actually 50% of 50%, or .5 * .5, which equals .25, or 25% scale.

One selector works fine when used as @robertc suggests.

Using count(*) over(partition by...) provides a simple and efficient means to locate unwanted repetition, whilst also list all affected rows and all wanted columns:

Nobody has answered the real "question" here: you ARE converting int to char correctly; in the ASCII table a decimal value of 01 is "start of heading", a non-printing character. Try looking up an ASCII table and converting an int value between 33 and 7E; that will give you characters to look at.

It's hard to write Python2 and Python3 and request dependencies code for the responses because they urlopen() functions and requests.get() function return different types:

That's exactly how you use it. There is a possibility that the address you have does not correspond to something directly in your source code though.

0x400534 is the address of main in my case. 0x400408 is also a valid function address in a.out, but it's a piece of code generated/imported by GCC, that has no debug info. (In this case, __libc_csu_init. You can see the layout of your executable with readelf -a your_exe.)

Other times when addr2line will fail is if you're including a library that has no debug information.

If you need the construct for a quick example to play with, use the : operator.

But if you are creating a vector/range of numbers dynamically, then use seq() instead.

Let's say you are creating the vector/range of numbers from a to b with a:b, and you expect it to be an increasing series. Then, if b is evaluated to be less than a, you will get a decreasing sequence but you will never be notified about it, and your program will continue to execute with the wrong kind of input.

In this case, if you use seq(), you can set the sign of the by argument to match the direction of your sequence, and an error will be raised if they do not match. For example,

seq(a, b, -1)

will raise an error for a=2, b=6, because the coder expected a decreasing sequence.

As the other answers mention, a struct is basically treated as a class in C++. This allows you to have a constructor which can be used to initialise the struct with default values. Below, the constructor takes sz and b as arguments, and initializes the other variables to some default values.

It is important to use the parameter with the key name "sequence_name". Run a debugging session on the hibernate class SequenceStyleGenerator, the configure(...) method at the line final QualifiedName sequenceName = determineSequenceName( params, dialect, jdbcEnvironment ); to see more details about how the sequence name is computed by Hibernate. There are some defaults in there you could also use.

After the fake entity, I created a CrudRepository:

Suppose you have 2 non-interleaving variables. So you want to access to each one from a different threads at the same time. You need to define the lock not on the object class itself, but on the class Object like below (example from the second Oracle link):

I'm currently using Windows and needed to develop a PDF parser but adding a new environment variable via sysdm.cpl alone did not work. For other Windows user, I strongly suggest adding C:\Program Files (x86)\Tesseract-OCR to your profile.ps1 as well (if using Powershell that is).

I don't think there can be such a B/W rule.
Code should be reviewed, with particular attention to the critical details.

I'm using the Google Pagespeed Insights image optimization guidelines, and for ImageMagick they recommend the following:

-sampling-factor 4:2:0
-strip
-quality 85 [it can vary, I use range 60-80, lower number here means smaller file]
-interlace
-colorspace RGB

Command in ImageMagick:

convert image.jpg -sampling-factor 4:2:0 -strip -quality 85 -interlace JPEG -colorspace RGB image_converted.jpg

With these options I get up to 40% savings in JPEG size without much visible loss.

Allowing git to pull in all the code for the branch and then I went to do a reset over to the commit that interested me.

There's no built-in command for that because it's illegal. You can't modify the size of an array once declared.

What you're looking for is either std::vector to simulate a dynamic array, or better yet a std::string.
