One approach: if you can guarantee unrelated applications won't use the files in a conflicting manner, just create a pool of files of varying sizes in a specific directory, then create links to them when needed.
For example, have a pool of files called:
Then, if you have an application that needs a 1G file called /home/oracle/logfile, execute a "ln /home/bigfiles/1024M-A /home/oracle/logfile
".
If it's on a separate filesystem, you will have to use a symbolic link.
The A/B/etc files can be used to ensure there's no conflicting use between unrelated applications.
The link operation is about as fast as you can get.
In my case, strangely enough, I was missing the import of the class it was complaining about and my IDE didn't detect it.
The count function is meant to be used on
A stdClass is neither of these. The easier/quickest way to accomplish what you're after is
$count = count(get_object_vars($some_std_class_object));
This uses PHP's get_object_vars function, which will return the properties of an object as an array. You can then use this array with PHP's count function.
Swift 4.2 and Swift 5 colorise parts of the string.
A very easy way to use NSMutableAttributedString while extending the String. This also can be used to colourize more than one word in the whole string.
Add new file for extensions, File -> New -> Swift File with name for ex. "NSAttributedString+TextColouring" and add the code
import UIKit
extension String {
func attributedStringWithColor(_ strings: [String], color: UIColor, characterSpacing: UInt? = nil) -> NSAttributedString {
let attributedString = NSMutableAttributedString(string: self)
for string in strings {
let range = (self as NSString).range(of: string)
attributedString.addAttribute(NSAttributedString.Key.foregroundColor, value: color, range: range)
}
guard let characterSpacing = characterSpacing else {return attributedString}
attributedString.addAttribute(NSAttributedString.Key.kern, value: characterSpacing, range: NSRange(location: 0, length: attributedString.length))
return attributedString
}
}
Now you can use globally at any viewcontroller you want:
let attributedWithTextColor: NSAttributedString = "Doc, welcome back :)".attributedStringWithColor(["Doc", "back"], color: UIColor.black)
myLabel.attributedText = attributedWithTextColor
Update will give you better performance with a queryset of more than one object, as it will make one database call per queryset.
However save is useful, as it is easy to override the save method in your model and add extra logic there. In my own application for example, I update a dates when other fields are changed.
Class myModel(models.Model):
name = models.CharField()
date_created = models.DateField()
def save(self):
if not self.pk :
### we have a newly created object, as the db id is not set
self.date_created = datetime.datetime.now()
super(myModel , self).save()
You can assign, but not declare, inside an if
:
Try this:
int v; // separate declaration
if((v = someMethod()) != 0) return true;
The below regex would match white spaces but not of a new line character.
(?:(?!\n)\s)
If you want to add carriage return also then add \r
with the |
operator inside the negative lookahead.
(?:(?![\n\r])\s)
Add +
after the non-capturing group to match one or more white spaces.
(?:(?![\n\r])\s)+
I don't know why you people failed to mention the POSIX character class [[:blank:]]
which matches any horizontal whitespaces (spaces and tabs). This POSIX chracter class would work on BRE(Basic REgular Expressions), ERE(Extended Regular Expression), PCRE(Perl Compatible Regular Expression).

This is a valid regex for validating e-mails. It's totally compliant with RFC822 and accepts IP address and server names (for intranet purposes).
public static boolean isEmailValid(String email) {
final Pattern EMAIL_REGEX = Pattern.compile("[a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+(?:.[a-z0-9!#$%&'*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+)*@(?:[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])?.)+[a-z0-9](?:[a-z0-9-]*[a-z0-9])?", Pattern.CASE_INSENSITIVE);
return EMAIL_REGEX.matcher(email).matches();
}
Here are some output examples, when you call isEmailValid(emailVariable)
:
[email protected] // valid
[email protected] // valid
[email protected] // valid (with +label - Gmail accepts it!)
[email protected] // valid (with IP addresses)
[email protected] // valid (with +label and IP address)
john.foo@someserver // valid (with no first domain level)
[email protected] // valid (case insensitive)
@someserver // invalid
@someserver.com // invalid
john@. // invalid
[email protected] // invalid
Watch out for certain headers such as HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR
that appear to contain a single IP address. They may actually contain multiple addresses (a chain of proxies I assume).
They will appear to be comma delimited - and can be a lot longer than 45 characters total - so check before storing in DB.
If you are using Swift, this will do the same:
buttonName.setTitleColor(UIColor.blackColor(), forState: .Normal)
Hope that helps!
To remove the special characters, try
var name = name.replace(/[!@#$%^&*]/g, "");
add the following to the end of the first function
return $.Deferred().resolve();
call both functions like so
functionOne().done(functionTwo);
A Python 2+3 compatible solution is:

# might be around one day
from urllib import urlretrieve
# Get file from URL like this:
urlretrieve("http://www-scf.usc.edu/~chiso/oldspice/m-b1-hello.mp3")

You might need to restart Internet Information Services (IIS) before certain configuration changes take effect or when applications become unavailable. Restarting IIS is the same as first stopping IIS, and then starting it again, except it is accomplished with a single command.

It used to be possible to disable the Home button, but now it isn't. It's due to malicious software that would trap the user.
You can see more detailes here: Disable Home button in Android 4.0+
Finally, the Back button can be disabled, as you can see in this other question: Disable back button in android
The best way I found to do this was to use a custom dictionary class as explained in this post: https://stackoverflow.com/a/14620633/8484485
If iPython autocompletion support is needed, simply define the dir() function like this:
class AttrDict(dict):
def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs):
super(AttrDict, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs)
self.__dict__ = self
def __dir__(self):
return self.keys()
You then define your pseudo struct like so: (this one is nested)
my_struct=AttrDict ({
'com1':AttrDict ({
'inst':[0x05],
'numbytes':2,
'canpayload':False,
'payload':None
})
})
You can then access the values inside my_struct like this:
print(my_struct.com1.inst)
=>[5]
build
and listener
objects are presenting during system groovy execution. You can do this:
def myVar = build.getEnvironment(listener).get('myVar')
Your placeholder is replaced by a string and you're not handling it right.
Replace
"name LIKE '%?%' OR postal_code LIKE '%?%'", search, search
with
"name LIKE ? OR postal_code LIKE ?", "%#{search}%", "%#{search}%"
If you are using docker, it worked for me!
in the docker-compose.yml
add the following lines:
mysql:
...
command: --default-authentication-plugin=mysql_native_password
restart: always
after that, down
the container and up
again.
Juste add ShowHeaderWhenEmpty property and set it at true
This solution works for me
I use this function to convert string to tuple
import ast
def parse_tuple(string):
try:
s = ast.literal_eval(str(string))
if type(s) == tuple:
return s
return
except:
return
Usage
parse_tuple('("A","B","C",)') # Result: ('A', 'B', 'C')
In your case, you do
value = parse_tuple("('%s',)" % a)
I took the idea from @antron and implemented it differently: generating a true enum class.
This implementation meets all the requirements listed in original question but currently has only one real limitation: it assumes the enum values are either not provided or, if provided, must start with 0 and go up sequentially without gaps.
This is not an intrinsic limitation - simply that I don't use ad-hoc enum values. If this is needed, one can replace vector lookup with traditional switch/case implementation.
The solution uses some c++17 for inline variables but this can be easily avoided if needed. It also uses boost:trim because of simplicity.
Most importantly, it takes only 30 lines of code and no black magic macros. The code is below. It's meant to be put in header and included in multiple compilation modules.
It can be used the same way as was suggested earlier in this thread:
ENUM(Channel, int, Red, Green = 1, Blue)
std::out << "My name is " << Channel::Green;
//prints My name is Green
Pls let me know if this is useful and how it can be improved further.
#include <boost/algorithm/string.hpp>
struct EnumSupportBase {
static std::vector<std::string> split(const std::string s, char delim) {
std::stringstream ss(s);
std::string item;
std::vector<std::string> tokens;
while (std::getline(ss, item, delim)) {
auto pos = item.find_first_of ('=');
if (pos != std::string::npos)
item.erase (pos);
boost::trim (item);
tokens.push_back(item);
}
return tokens;
}
};
#define ENUM(EnumName, Underlying, ...) \
enum class EnumName : Underlying { __VA_ARGS__, _count }; \
struct EnumName ## Support : EnumSupportBase { \
static inline std::vector<std::string> _token_names = split(#__VA_ARGS__, ','); \
static constexpr const char* get_name(EnumName enum_value) { \
int index = (int)enum_value; \
if (index >= (int)EnumName::_count || index < 0) \
return "???"; \
else \
return _token_names[index].c_str(); \
} \
}; \
inline std::ostream& operator<<(std::ostream& os, const EnumName & es) { \
return os << EnumName##Support::get_name(es); \
}
This is a very common question seen on Stackoverflow.
The important part here is not the command displayed in the error, but what the actual error tells you instead.
a Quick breakdown on why this error is received.
cmd.exe
Being a terminal window relies on input and system Environment variables, in order to perform what you request it to do. it does NOT know the location of everything and it also does not know when to distinguish between commands or executable names which are separated by whitespace like space and tab or commands with whitespace as switch variables.
How do I fix this:
When Actual Command/executable fails
First we make sure, is the executable actually installed? If yes, continue with the rest, if not, install it first.
If you have any executable which you are attempting to run from cmd.exe
then you need to tell cmd.exe
where this file is located. There are 2 ways of doing this.
specify the full path to the file.
"C:\My_Files\mycommand.exe"
Add the location of the file to your environment Variables.
Goto:
------> Control Panel-> System-> Advanced System Settings->Environment Variables
In the System Variables
Window, locate path
and select edit
Now simply add your path to the end of the string, seperated by a semicolon ;
as:
;C:\My_Files\
Save the changes and exit. You need to make sure that ANY cmd.exe
windows you had open are then closed and re-opened to allow it to re-import the environment variables.
Now you should be able to run mycommand.exe from any path, within cmd.exe
as the environment is aware of the path to it.
When C:\Program
or Similar fails
This is a very simple error. Each string after a white space is seen as a different command in cmd.exe
terminal, you simply have to enclose the entire path in double quotes in order for cmd.exe
to see it as a single string, and not separate commands.
So to execute C:\Program Files\My-App\Mobile.exe
simply run as:
"C:\Program Files\My-App\Mobile.exe"
If you run your playbook with ansible-playbook -vvv
you'll see the actual command being run, so you can check whether the key is actually being included in the ssh command (and you might discover that the problem was the wrong username rather than the missing key).
I agree with Brian's comment above (and zigam's edit) that the vars section is too late. I also tested including the key in the on-the-fly definition of the host like this
# fails
- name: Add all instance public IPs to host group
add_host: hostname={{ item.public_ip }} groups=ec2hosts ansible_ssh_private_key_file=~/.aws/dev_staging.pem
loop: "{{ ec2.instances }}"
but that fails too.
So this is not an answer. Just some debugging help and things not to try.
If you want to do something like the following example, you'd have to use nested if
s.
If percentage is greater than or equal to 93%, then corresponding value in B should be 4 and if the percentage is greater than or equal to 90% and less than 92%, then corresponding value in B to be 3.7, etc.
Here's how you'd do it:
=IF(A2>=93%, 4, IF(A2>=90%, 3.7,IF(A2>=87%,3.3,0)))
In Google App Engine there is a webapp2
function called import_string
. For more info see here:https://webapp-improved.appspot.com/api/webapp2.html
So,
import webapp2
my_class = webapp2.import_string('my_package.my_module.MyClass')
For example this is used in the webapp2.Route
where you can either use a handler or a string.
You can use implode to return your array with a string separator.
$withComma = implode(",", $array);
echo $withComma;
// Will display apple,banana,orange
The most common solution is to strip the integer portion of the number and compare it to zero like so:
function Test()
{
var startVal = 123.456
alert( (startVal - Math.floor(startVal)) != 0 )
}
Given that IPV6 has a size of 1500, I would assert that carriers would not provide separate paths for IPV4 and IPV6 (they are both IP with different types), forcing them to equipment for ipv4 that would be old, redundant, more costly to maintain and less reliable. It wouldn't make any sense. Besides, doing so might easily be considered providing preferential treatment for some traffic -- a no no under rules they probably don't care much about (unless they get caught).
So 1472 should be safe for external use (though that doesn't mean an app like DNS that doesn't know about EDNS will accept it), and if you are talking internal nets, you can more likely know your network layout in which case jumbo packet sizes apply for for non-fragmented packets so for 4096 - 4068 bytes, and for intel's cards with 9014 byte buffers, a package size of ... wait...8086 bytes, would be the max...coincidence? snicker
****UPDATE****
Various answers give maximum values allowed by 1 SW vendor or various answers assuming encapsulation. The user didn't ask for the lowest value possible (like "0" for a safe UDP size), but the largest safe packet size.
Encapsulation values for various layers can be included multiple times. Since once you've encapsulated a stream -- there is nothing prohibiting, say, a VPN layer below that and a complete duplication of encapsulation layers above that.
Since the question was about maximum safe values, I'm assuming that they are talking about the maximum safe value for a UDP packet that can be received. Since no UDP packet is guaranteed, if you receive a UDP packet, the largest safe size would be 1 packet over IPv4 or 1472 bytes.
Note -- if you are using IPv6, the maximum size would be 1452 bytes, as IPv6's header size is 40 bytes vs. IPv4's 20 byte size (and either way, one must still allow 8 bytes for the UDP header).
concept47's approach is the right way to do it, but I'd advise to merge with the --no-ff option in order to keep your commit history clear.
git checkout develop
git pull --rebase
git checkout NewFeatureBranch
git merge --no-ff master
This one throw me for a spin. Angular 7, Webpack I found this article so I want to give credit to the Article https://www.edc4it.com/blog/web/helloworld-angular2.html
What the solution is: //on your component file. use template as webpack will treat it as text template: require('./process.component.html')
for karma to interpret it npm install add html-loader --save-dev { test: /.html$/, use: "html-loader" },
Hope this helps somebody
RecyclerView's Adapter doesn't come with many methods otherwise available in ListView's adapter. But your swap can be implemented quite simply as:
class MyRecyclerAdapter extends RecyclerView.Adapter<RecyclerView.ViewHolder> {
List<Data> data;
...
public void swap(ArrayList<Data> datas)
{
data.clear();
data.addAll(datas);
notifyDataSetChanged();
}
}
Also there is a difference between
list.clear();
list.add(data);
and
list = newList;
The first is reusing the same list object. The other is dereferencing and referencing the list. The old list object which can no longer be reached will be garbage collected but not without first piling up heap memory. This would be the same as initializing new adapter everytime you want to swap data.
If you need to brute force it for older browser compatibility, you can use Colllor to automatically select similar color variations.
Example (color: #a9dbb4):
I have replaced the printf
calls with calls to warning
in the C-code now. It will be effective in the version 2.17.2 which should be available tomorrow night. Then you should be able to avoid the warnings with suppressWarnings()
or any of the other above mentioned methods.
suppressWarnings({ your code })
This is a very highly upvoted issue request in Github for Floating Windows.
Until they support it, you can try the following workarounds:
The Duplicate Workspace in new Window Command was added in v1.24 (May 2018) to sort of address this.
workbench.action.duplicateWorkspaceInNewWindow
to Ctrl + Shift + N or whatever you'd likeRather than manually open a new window and dragging the file, you can do it all with a single command.
As AllenBooTung also pointed out, you can open/drag any file in a separate blank instance.
VS Code will not allow you to open the same folder in two different instances, but you can use Workspaces to open the same directory of files in a side by side instance.
For any workaround, also consider setting setting up auto save so the documents are kept in sync by updating the files.autoSave
setting to afterDelay
, onFocusChange
, or onWindowChange
If you are looking for a more generalized way to apply to many columns, what you can do is to build a list of column names and pass it as the index of the grouped dataframe. In your case, for example:
columns = ['Y'+str(i) for year in range(1967, 2011)]
df.groupby('Country')[columns].agg('sum')
Another thing you might want to check that the listener.ora file matches the way you are trying to connect to the DB. If you were connecting via a localhost reference and your listener.ora file got changed from:
HOST = localhost
to
HOST = 192.168.XX.XX
then this can cause the error that you had unless you update your hosts file to accommodate for this. Someone might have made this change to allow for remote connections to the DB from other machines.
Try grep -o
grep -oh "\w*th\w*" *
Edit: matching from Phil's comment
From the docs:
-h, --no-filename
Suppress the prefixing of file names on output. This is the default
when there is only one file (or only standard input) to search.
-o, --only-matching
Print only the matched (non-empty) parts of a matching line,
with each such part on a separate output line.
If a path may contain parentheses then the r'\(.*?\)'
regex is not enough:
import os, re
def remove_parenthesized_chunks(path, safeext=True, safedir=True):
dirpath, basename = os.path.split(path) if safedir else ('', path)
name, ext = os.path.splitext(basename) if safeext else (basename, '')
name = re.sub(r'\(.*?\)', '', name)
return os.path.join(dirpath, name+ext)
By default the function preserves parenthesized chunks in directory and extention parts of the path.
Example:
>>> f = remove_parenthesized_chunks
>>> f("Example_file_(extra_descriptor).ext")
'Example_file_.ext'
>>> path = r"c:\dir_(important)\example(extra).ext(untouchable)"
>>> f(path)
'c:\\dir_(important)\\example.ext(untouchable)'
>>> f(path, safeext=False)
'c:\\dir_(important)\\example.ext'
>>> f(path, safedir=False)
'c:\\dir_\\example.ext(untouchable)'
>>> f(path, False, False)
'c:\\dir_\\example.ext'
>>> f(r"c:\(extra)\example(extra).ext", safedir=False)
'c:\\\\example.ext'

treeView1.SelectedNode = treeNode;

I would like to expand on Riki_tiki_tavi's answer and get the data out there. I have created a datediff function that does almost everything sql server does. So that way we can take into account any unit.
create function datediff(units character varying, start_t timestamp without time zone, end_t timestamp without time zone) returns integer
language plpgsql
as
$$
DECLARE
diff_interval INTERVAL;
diff INT = 0;
years_diff INT = 0;
BEGIN
IF units IN ('yy', 'yyyy', 'year', 'mm', 'm', 'month') THEN
years_diff = DATE_PART('year', end_t) - DATE_PART('year', start_t);
IF units IN ('yy', 'yyyy', 'year') THEN
-- SQL Server does not count full years passed (only difference between year parts)
RETURN years_diff;
ELSE
-- If end month is less than start month it will subtracted
RETURN years_diff * 12 + (DATE_PART('month', end_t) - DATE_PART('month', start_t));
END IF;
END IF;
-- Minus operator returns interval 'DDD days HH:MI:SS'
diff_interval = end_t - start_t;
diff = diff + DATE_PART('day', diff_interval);
IF units IN ('wk', 'ww', 'week') THEN
diff = diff/7;
RETURN diff;
END IF;
IF units IN ('dd', 'd', 'day') THEN
RETURN diff;
END IF;
diff = diff * 24 + DATE_PART('hour', diff_interval);
IF units IN ('hh', 'hour') THEN
RETURN diff;
END IF;
diff = diff * 60 + DATE_PART('minute', diff_interval);
IF units IN ('mi', 'n', 'minute') THEN
RETURN diff;
END IF;
diff = diff * 60 + DATE_PART('second', diff_interval);
RETURN diff;
END;
$$;
Since hours are always positive, and always 2 digits, you can set a 1 in front of it and subtract 100:
echo $((1$hour+1-100))
which is equivalent to
echo $((1$hour-99))
Be sure to comment such gymnastics. :)
C:\Program Files\Git\bin

If you are clearing the cluster so that you can start again, then, in addition to what @rib47 said, I also do the following to ensure my systems are in a state ready for kubeadm init
again:
kubeadm reset -f
rm -rf /etc/cni /etc/kubernetes /var/lib/dockershim /var/lib/etcd /var/lib/kubelet /var/run/kubernetes ~/.kube/*
iptables -F && iptables -X
iptables -t nat -F && iptables -t nat -X
iptables -t raw -F && iptables -t raw -X
iptables -t mangle -F && iptables -t mangle -X
systemctl restart docker
You then need to re-install docker.io
, kubeadm
, kubectl
, and kubelet
to make sure they are at the latest versions for your distribution before you re-initialize the cluster.
EDIT: Discovered that calico adds firewall rules to the raw
table so that needs clearing out as well.
the following worked for me:
$.trim($('#dropdownId option:selected').html())
You can use IPython.display.clear_output
to clear the output of a cell.
from IPython.display import clear_output
for i in range(10):
clear_output(wait=True)
print("Hello World!")
At the end of this loop you will only see one Hello World!
.
Without a code example it's not easy to give you working code. Probably buffering the latest n events is a good strategy. Whenever the buffer changes you can clear the cell's output and print the buffer again.
I'm partial to Jacob Wright's Date.format()
library, which implements JavaScript date formatting in the style of PHP's date()
function.
new Date(unix_timestamp * 1000).format('h:i:s')
Not native in Javascript, but plenty of libraries have this method.

is sufficient, however you can also use a class-name of 'hover' if you wish, and the following would be equally applicable:
a.hover:hover {text-decoration: underline; }
Incidentally it may be worth pointing out that the class name of 'hover' doesn't really add anything to the element, as the psuedo-element of a:hover
does the same thing as that of a.hover:hover
. Unless it's just a demonstration of using a class-name.
One thing that to be remembered while solving such problems is that in JSON file, a {
indicates a JSONObject
and a [
indicates JSONArray
. If one could manage them properly, it would be very easy to accomplish the task of parsing the JSON file. The above code was really very helpful for me and I hope this content adds some meaning to the above code.
The Gson JsonReader documentation explains how to handle parsing of JsonObjects
and JsonArrays
:
- Within array handling methods, first call beginArray() to consume the array's opening bracket. Then create a while loop that accumulates values, terminating when hasNext() is false. Finally, read the array's closing bracket by calling endArray().
- Within object handling methods, first call beginObject() to consume the object's opening brace. Then create a while loop that assigns values to local variables based on their name. This loop should terminate when hasNext() is false. Finally, read the object's closing brace by calling endObject().
Here what I DO on MY PC I install all software that i usually used in G: partian not C: if my operating system is fall (win 10) , Do not need to reinstall them again and lost time , Then How windows work it update PATH automatic if you install any new programe or pice of softwore ,

It's not that much work to make a function that's allocating the needed memory for your string. That's a little c-function i wrote some time ago, i always use it to read in strings.
It will return the read string or if a memory error occurs NULL. But be aware that you have to free() your string and always check for it's return value.
#define BUFFER 32
char *readString()
{
char *str = malloc(sizeof(char) * BUFFER), *err;
int pos;
for(pos = 0; str != NULL && (str[pos] = getchar()) != '\n'; pos++)
{
if(pos % BUFFER == BUFFER - 1)
{
if((err = realloc(str, sizeof(char) * (BUFFER + pos + 1))) == NULL)
free(str);
str = err;
}
}
if(str != NULL)
str[pos] = '\0';
return str;
}

(there are also /etc/paths.d/git
and /etc/manpaths.d/git
items).
Salt is used to add an extra level of complexity to the hash, to make it harder to brute-force crack.
From an article on Sitepoint:
A hacker can still perform what's called a dictionary attack. Malicious parties may make a dictionary attack by taking, for instance, 100,000 passwords that they know people use frequently (e.g. city names, sports teams, etc.), hash them, and then compare each entry in the dictionary against each row in the database table. If the hackers find a match, bingo! They have your password. To solve this problem, however, we need only salt the hash.
To salt a hash, we simply come up with a random-looking string of text, concatenate it with the password supplied by the user, then hash both the randomly generated string and password together as one value. We then save both the hash and the salt as separate fields within the Users table.
In this scenario, not only would a hacker need to guess the password, they'd have to guess the salt as well. Adding salt to the clear text improves security: now, if a hacker tries a dictionary attack, he must hash his 100,000 entries with the salt of every user row. Although it's still possible, the chances of hacking success diminish radically.
There is no method automatically doing this in .NET, so you'll have go with the solution above.
Often it is easier to parse without VBA, when you don't want to enable macros. This can be done with the replace function. Enter your start and end nodes into cells B1 and C1.
Cell A1: {your XML here}
Cell B1: <X>
Cell C1: </X>
Cell D1: =REPLACE(A1,1,FIND(A2,A1)+LEN(A2)-1,"")
Cell E1: =REPLACE(A4,FIND(A3,A4),LEN(A4)-FIND(A3,A4)+1,"")
And the result line E1 will have your parsed value:
Cell A1: {your XML here}
Cell B1: <X>
Cell C1: </X>
Cell D1: 24.365<X><Y>78.68</Y></PointN>
Cell E1: 24.365
As @Daniel Kutik mentioned, presetdef
is a good option. Especially if one is working on a project with many build.xml
files which one cannot, or prefers not to, edit (e.g., those from third-parties.)
To use presetdef
, add these lines in your top-level build.xml
file:
<presetdef name="javac">
<javac includeantruntime="false" />
</presetdef>
Now all subsequent javac
tasks will essentially inherit includeantruntime="false"
. If your projects do actually need ant runtime libraries, you can either add them explicitly to your build files OR set includeantruntime="true"
. The latter will also get rid of warnings.
Subsequent javac
tasks can still explicitly change this if desired, for example:
<javac destdir="out" includeantruntime="true">
<src path="foo.java" />
<src path="bar.java" />
</javac>
I'd recommend against using ANT_OPTS
. It works, but it defeats the purpose of the warning. The warning tells one that one's build might behave differently on another system. Using ANT_OPTS
makes this even more likely because now every system needs to use ANT_OPTS
in the same way. Also, ANT_OPTS
will apply globally, suppressing warnings willy-nilly in all your projects

Thanks... :)
When working with fragments, instead of using this
or refering to the context, always use getActivity()
. You should call
getActivity().finish();
to finish your activity from fragment.
To declare a string literal as an output column, leave the Table
off and just use Test
. It doesn't need to be associated with a table among your joins, since it will be accessed only by its column alias. When using a metadata function like getColumnMeta()
, the table name will be an empty string because it isn't associated with a table.
SELECT
`field1`,
`field2`,
'Test' AS `field3`
FROM `Test`;
Note: I'm using single quotes above. MySQL is usually configured to honor double quotes for strings, but single quotes are more widely portable among RDBMS.
If you must have a table alias name with the literal value, you need to wrap it in a subquery with the same name as the table you want to use:
SELECT
field1,
field2,
field3
FROM
/* subquery wraps all fields to put the literal inside a table */
(SELECT field1, field2, 'Test' AS field3 FROM Test) AS Test
Now field3
will come in the output as Test.field3
.
you can use the keyword 'In' and pass the List argument. e.g : findByInventoryIdIn
List<AttributeHistory> findByValueIn(List<String> values);
put a int
infront of the all the voxelCoord
's...Like this below :
patch = numpyImage [int(voxelCoord[0]),int(voxelCoord[1])- int(voxelWidth/2):int(voxelCoord[1])+int(voxelWidth/2),int(voxelCoord[2])-int(voxelWidth/2):int(voxelCoord[2])+int(voxelWidth/2)]
According to the Facebook documentation it's not possible to get all the fans of a page:
Although you can't get a list of all the fans of a Facebook Page, you can find out whether a specific person has liked a Page.
If dgv(11, dgv.CurrentRow.Index).Selected = True Then
dgv.Rows.RemoveAt(dgv.CurrentRow.Index)
Else
Exit Sub
End If
I've been through this whole list and there are partially correct and partially incorrect elements right through, as of 2020.
I found that the indent and offset was the biggest problem when using UTF-8, so I'm posting this as a 2020 compatible CSS solution using the "upright triangle" bullet as my example.
ul {
list-style: none;
text-indent: -2em; // needs to be 1 + ( 2 x margin), and the result 'negative'
}
ul li:before {
content: "\25B2";
margin: 0 0.5em; // 0.5 x 2 = 1, + 1 offset to get the bullet back in the right spot
}
use em
as the unit to avoid conflict with font sizing
I could see that there is a better library than the apache commons exec library. You can execute your job using Java Secure Shell (JSch).
I had the same problem. I used JSch to solve this problem. Apache commons had some issues running commands on a different server. Plus JSch gave me result and errors InputStreams. I found it more elegant. Sample solution can be found here : http://wiki.jsch.org/index.php?Manual%2FExamples%2FJschExecExample

EDIT 1: In order to find your process (if its a long-running one) being executed on Unix, use the ps -aux | grep java
. The process ID should be listed alongwith the unix command you are executing.
This is very simple beacuse i have created a couple lines of code that will do this for you
So set a variable as msg and then use this code. it popup in a VBS message box.
CODE:
@echo off
echo %msg% >vbs.txt
copy vbs.txt vbs.vbs
del vbs.txt
start vbs.vbs
timeout /t 1
del vbs.vbs
cls
This is just something i came up with it should work for most of your message needs and it also works with Spaces unlike some batch scripts
Usually, only the endpoint that issues an 'active close' should go into TIME_WAIT state. So, if possible, have your clients issue the active close which will leave the TIME_WAIT on the client and NOT on the server.
See here: http://www.serverframework.com/asynchronousevents/2011/01/time-wait-and-its-design-implications-for-protocols-and-scalable-servers.html and http://www.isi.edu/touch/pubs/infocomm99/infocomm99-web/ for details (the later also explains why it's not always possible due to protocol design that doesn't take TIME_WAIT into consideration).
To me this kind of seemingly simple problem is what Python is all about. Especially if you're coming from a language like C++, where simple text parsing can be a pain in the butt, you'll really appreciate the functionally unit-wise solution that python can give you. I'd keep it really simple with a couple of built-in functions and some generator expressions.
You'll need open(name, mode)
, myfile.readlines()
, mystring.split()
, int(myval)
, and then you'll probably want to use a couple of generators to put them all together in a pythonic way.
# This opens a handle to your file, in 'r' read mode
file_handle = open('mynumbers.txt', 'r')
# Read in all the lines of your file into a list of lines
lines_list = file_handle.readlines()
# Extract dimensions from first line. Cast values to integers from strings.
cols, rows = (int(val) for val in lines_list[0].split())
# Do a double-nested list comprehension to get the rest of the data into your matrix
my_data = [[int(val) for val in line.split()] for line in lines_list[1:]]
Look up generator expressions here. They can really simplify your code into discrete functional units! Imagine doing the same thing in 4 lines in C++... It would be a monster. Especially the list generators, when I was I C++ guy I always wished I had something like that, and I'd often end up building custom functions to construct each kind of array I wanted.
Using a UI Framework would be a lot cleaner (and involve fewer components). Here is an example using wxPython:
import wx
import os
class MyForm(wx.Frame):
def __init__(self):
wx.Frame.__init__(self, None, wx.ID_ANY, "Launch Scripts")
panel = wx.Panel(self, wx.ID_ANY)
sizer = wx.BoxSizer(wx.VERTICAL)
buttonA = wx.Button(panel, id=wx.ID_ANY, label="App A", name="MYSCRIPT")
buttonB = wx.Button(panel, id=wx.ID_ANY, label="App B", name="MYOtherSCRIPT")
buttonC = wx.Button(panel, id=wx.ID_ANY, label="App C", name="SomeDifferentScript")
buttons = [buttonA, buttonB, buttonC]
for button in buttons:
self.buildButtons(button, sizer)
panel.SetSizer(sizer)
def buildButtons(self, btn, sizer):
btn.Bind(wx.EVT_BUTTON, self.onButton)
sizer.Add(btn, 0, wx.ALL, 5)
def onButton(self, event):
"""
This method is fired when its corresponding button is pressed, taking the script from it's name
"""
button = event.GetEventObject()
os.system('python {}.py'.format(button.GetName()))
button_id = event.GetId()
button_by_id = self.FindWindowById(button_id)
print "The button you pressed was labeled: " + button_by_id.GetLabel()
print "The button's name is " + button_by_id.GetName()
# Run the program
if __name__ == "__main__":
app = wx.App(False)
frame = MyForm()
frame.Show()
app.MainLoop()
I haven't tested this yet, and I'm sure there are cleaner ways of launching a python script form a python script, but the idea I think will still hold. Good luck!
If you are working with Source safe then make a new directory and take the latest there, this solved my issue...thanks
I haven't used DataReaders for 3+ years, so I wanted to confirm my memory and found this. Anyway, for anyone who happens upon this post like I did and wants a method to test IsDBNull using the column name instead of ordinal number, and you are using VS 2008+ (& .NET 3.5 I think), you can write an extension method so that you can pass the column name in:
public static class DataReaderExtensions
{
public static bool IsDBNull( this IDataReader dataReader, string columnName )
{
return dataReader[columnName] == DBNull.Value;
}
}

What worked for me was to create a viewmodel that contained the date property as a string. Assigning the DateTime property from the domain model and calling the .ToString() on the date property while assigning the value to the viewmodel.
A JSON result from an MVC action method will return the date in a format compatible with the view.
public class TransactionsViewModel
{
public string DateInitiated { get; set; }
public string DateCompleted { get; set; }
}
public class Transaction{
public DateTime? DateInitiated {get; set;}
public DateTime? DateCompleted {get; set;}
}
public JsonResult GetTransactions(){
var transactions = _transactionsRepository.All;
var model = new List<TransactionsViewModel>();
foreach (var transaction in transactions)
{
var item = new TransactionsViewModel
{
...............
DateInitiated = transaction.DateInitiated.ToString(),
DateCompleted = transaction.DateCompleted.ToString(),
};
model.Add(item);
}
return Json(model, JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet);
}
In Azure Data warehouse also this occurs sometimes, because temporary tables created for a user session.. I got the same issue fixed by reconnecting the database,
As Integer.toHexString(byte/integer) is not working when you are trying to convert signed bytes like UTF-16 decoded characters you have to use:
Integer.toString(byte/integer, 16);
or
String.format("%02X", byte/integer);
reverse you can use
Integer.parseInt(hexString, 16);

Sure! Setup:
>>> import pandas as pd
>>> from random import randint
>>> df = pd.DataFrame({'A': [randint(1, 9) for x in range(10)],
'B': [randint(1, 9)*10 for x in range(10)],
'C': [randint(1, 9)*100 for x in range(10)]})
>>> df

2 5 70 900
3 8 80 900

5 9 30 900
6 2 80 700
7 2 80 400
8 5 80 300
9 7 70 800
We can apply column operations and get boolean Series objects:
>>> df["B"] > 50
0 False
1 True
2 True
3 True
4 False
5 False
6 True
7 True
8 True
9 True
Name: B
>>> (df["B"] > 50) & (df["C"] == 900)
0 False
1 False
2 True
3 True
4 False
5 False
6 False
7 False
8 False
9 False
[Update, to switch to new-style .loc
]:
And then we can use these to index into the object. For read access, you can chain indices:
>>> df["A"][(df["B"] > 50) & (df["C"] == 900)]
2 5
3 8
Name: A, dtype: int64
but you can get yourself into trouble because of the difference between a view and a copy doing this for write access. You can use .loc
instead:
>>> df.loc[(df["B"] > 50) & (df["C"] == 900), "A"]
2 5
3 8
Name: A, dtype: int64
>>> df.loc[(df["B"] > 50) & (df["C"] == 900), "A"].values
array([5, 8], dtype=int64)
>>> df.loc[(df["B"] > 50) & (df["C"] == 900), "A"] *= 1000
>>> df
A B C
0 9 40 300
1 9 70 700
2 5000 70 900
3 8000 80 900
4 7 50 200
5 9 30 900
6 2 80 700
7 2 80 400
8 5 80 300
9 7 70 800
Note that I accidentally typed == 900
and not != 900
, or ~(df["C"] == 900)
, but I'm too lazy to fix it. Exercise for the reader. :^)
In the answer from @mariubog (https://stackoverflow.com/a/27882337/1279002) I was using password grant types too as in the example but needed to set the client authentication scheme to form. Scopes were not supported by the endpoint for password and there was no need to set the grant type as the ResourceOwnerPasswordResourceDetails object sets this itself in the constructor.
...
public ResourceOwnerPasswordResourceDetails() {
setGrantType("password");
}
...
The key thing for me was the client_id and client_secret were not being added to the form object to post in the body if resource.setClientAuthenticationScheme(AuthenticationScheme.form);
was not set.
See the switch in:
org.springframework.security.oauth2.client.token.auth.DefaultClientAuthenticationHandler.authenticateTokenRequest()

A shot in the dark, but could it be that you are not allowing installation from unknown sources, and that OI is somehow bypassing that?

HTH,
In general, the best practice recommendation is singular, except for those enums that have the [Flags] attribute attached to them, (and which therefore can contain bit fields), which should be plural.
After reading your edited question, I get the feeling you may think the property name or variable name has to be different from the enum type name... It doesn't. The following is perfectly fine...
public enum Status { New, Edited, Approved, Cancelled, Closed }
public class Order
{
private Status stat;
public Status Status
{
get { return stat; }
set { stat = value; }
}
}
In SQL Server I would use:
WHERE CHARINDEX(CHAR(13), name) <> 0 OR CHARINDEX(CHAR(10), name) <> 0
This will search for both carriage returns and line feeds.
If you want to search for tabs too just add:
OR CHARINDEX(CHAR(9), name) <> 0

Although all of the answers fix the issue but they come with trade-offs/adjustments/compromises like
floats
, You have to float elements border-top
, This pushes the parent at least 1px downwards which should then be adjusted with introducing -1px
margin to the parent element itself. This can create problems when parent already has margin-top
in relative units.padding-top
, same effect as using border-top
overflow: hidden
, Can't be used when parent should display overflowing content, like a drop down menuoverflow: auto
, Introduces scrollbars for parent element that has (intentionally) overflowing content (like shadows or tool tip's triangle)The issue can be resolved by using CSS3 pseudo elements as follows
.parent::before {
clear: both;
content: "";
display: table;
margin-top: -1px;
height: 0;
}
If you want each task to run regardless of any failures, you can do something like:
task :build_all do
[:debug, :release].each do |t|
ts = 0
begin
Rake::Task["build"].invoke(t)
rescue
ts = 1
next
ensure
Rake::Task["build"].reenable # If you need to reenable
end
return ts # Return exit code 1 if any failed, 0 if all success
end
end

This will solve your problem
If you have Iterable convert to stream and find last element
Iterator<String> sourceIterator = Arrays.asList("one", "two", "three").iterator();
Iterable<String> iterable = () -> sourceIterator;
String last = StreamSupport.stream(iterable.spliterator(), false).reduce((first, second) -> second).orElse(null);
inside the Form, You can use this code. Replace your variable name (i use $variable)
<input type="text" value="<?php echo (isset($variable))?$variable:'';?>">
Use the collapse
argument to paste
:
paste(a,collapse=" ")
[1] "aa bb cc"
The other answer is very complete, but here is a rule of thumb:
call
is blocking:
call('notepad.exe')
print('hello') # only executed when notepad is closed
Popen
is non-blocking:
Popen('notepad.exe')
print('hello') # immediately executed
Perhaps it behaves slightly different on Eclipselink. To re-attach detached objects without getting stale data, I usually do:
Object obj = em.find(obj.getClass(), id);
and as an optional a second step (to get caches invalidated):
em.refresh(obj)
Missing Context file location in configuration can cause this, one approach to solve this:
like:
@ContextConfiguration(locations = { "classpath:META-INF/your-spring-context.xml" })

@RunWith( SpringJUnit4ClassRunner.class )
@ContextConfiguration(locations = { "classpath:META-INF/your-spring-context.xml" })
public class UserServiceTest extends AbstractJUnit4SpringContextTests {}

I just created a 2:1 div that resized to occupy the full width, but then shrinks the width if it would cause the top or bottom to exceed. But note, this will only work with the size of the window, not the size of the parent.
#scene {
position: relative;
top: 50vh;
left: 50vw;
width: 100vw;
height: 50vw;
max-height: 100vh;
max-width: calc(100vh * 2);
transform: translate(-50%, -50%);
}
I'm sure you can work out the correct %'s to use for 4:3

Your original problem was that you were checking if the list was null, which it would never be because you instantiated it with List<Integer> numbers = new ArrayList<Integer>();
. However, you have updated your code to use the List.isEmpty()
method to properly check if the list is empty.
The problem now is that you are never actually sending an empty list to giveList()
. In your do-while loop, you add any input number to the list, even if it is -1. To prevent -1 being added, change the do-while loop to only add numbers if they are not -1. Then, the list will be empty if the user's first input number is -1.
do {
number = Integer.parseInt(JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Enter a number (-1 to stop)"));
/* Change this line */
if (number != -1) numbers.add(number);
} while (number != -1);

Cool @derek-kromm, Your answer is accepted and correct, But I am wondering if we need to alter
more than the column. Here is how we can do.
ALTER TABLE tbl_name

ALTER COLUMN col_name2 TYPE varchar (11),
ALTER COLUMN col_name3 TYPE varchar (11);

As someone else pointed out, the Web Audio API has a better timer.
But in general, if these events happen consistently, how about you put them all on the same timer? I'm thinking about how a step sequencer works.
Practically, could it looks something like this?
var timer = 0;
var limit = 8000; // 8000 will be the point at which the loop repeats
var drumInterval = 8000;
var chordInterval = 1000;
var bassInterval = 500;
setInterval(function {
timer += 500;
if (timer == drumInterval) {
// Do drum stuff
}
if (timer == chordInterval) {
// Do chord stuff
}
if (timer == bassInterval) {
// Do bass stuff
}
// Reset timer once it reaches limit
if (timer == limit) {
timer = 0;
}
}, 500); // Set the timer to the smallest common denominator
JavaScript-ViewState-Parser:
The parser should work with most non-encrypted ViewStates. It doesn’t handle the serialization format used by .NET version 1 because that version is sorely outdated and therefore too unlikely to be encountered in any real situation.

No, you would need to create a seperate query for each update.
How about
Scanner scanner = new Scanner(result);
String line = scanner.nextLine();//will contain 34.1 -118.33
I like Tony approach. It works, but I decided to implement in different way. Here my comments:
1) I did some tests and when using ng-style, Angular evaluates ng-style content, I mean getTableHeight() function more than once. I put a breakpoint into getTableHeight() function to analyze this.
By the way, ui-if was removed. Now you have ng-if build-in.
2) I prefer to write a service like this:
angular.module('angularStart.services').factory('uiGridService', function ($http, $rootScope) {
var factory = {};
factory.getGridHeight = function(gridOptions) {
var length = gridOptions.data.length;
var rowHeight = 30; // your row height
var headerHeight = 40; // your header height
var filterHeight = 40; // your filter height
return length * rowHeight + headerHeight + filterHeight + "px";
}
factory.removeUnit = function(value, unit) {
return value.replace(unit, '');
}
return factory;
});
And then in the controller write the following:
angular.module('app',['ui.grid']).controller('AppController', ['uiGridConstants', function(uiGridConstants) {
...
// Execute this when you have $scope.gridData loaded...
$scope.gridHeight = uiGridService.getGridHeight($scope.gridData);
And at the HTML file:
<div id="grid1" ui-grid="gridData" class="grid" ui-grid-auto-resize style="height: {{gridHeight}}"></div>
When angular applies the style, it only has to look in the $scope.gridHeight variable and not to evaluate a complete function.
3) If you want to calculate dynamically the height of an expandable grid, it is more complicated. In this case, you can set expandableRowHeight property. This fixes the reserved height for each subgrid.
$scope.gridData = {
enableSorting: true,
multiSelect: false,
enableRowSelection: true,
showFooter: false,
enableFiltering: true,
enableSelectAll: false,
enableRowHeaderSelection: false,
enableGridMenu: true,
noUnselect: true,
expandableRowTemplate: 'subGrid.html',
expandableRowHeight: 380, // 10 rows * 30px + 40px (header) + 40px (filters)
onRegisterApi: function(gridApi) {
gridApi.expandable.on.rowExpandedStateChanged($scope, function(row){
var height = parseInt(uiGridService.removeUnit($scope.jdeNewUserConflictsGridHeight,'px'));
var changedRowHeight = parseInt(uiGridService.getGridHeight(row.entity.subGridNewUserConflictsGrid, true));
if (row.isExpanded)
{
height += changedRowHeight;
}
else
{
height -= changedRowHeight;
}
$scope.jdeNewUserConflictsGridHeight = height + 'px';
});
},
columnDefs : [
{ field: 'GridField1', name: 'GridField1', enableFiltering: true }
]
}

List<object> listO = ((IEnumerable<object>)o).ToList();

This might be a better approach than top answer if you need to compare 2 output arrays to each other but use the first array to populate the options.
This is also helpful when you have a non-numeric or offset index (key) in your array.
<select name="roles[]" multiple>
@foreach($roles as $key => $value)
<option value="{{$key}}" @if(in_array($value, $compare_roles))selected="selected"@endif>
{{$value}}
</option>
@endforeach
</select>
In this code's thread creation, the address of a function pointer is being passed.
The original
pthread_create(&some_thread, NULL, &print_the_arguments, (void *)&args) != 0
It should read as
pthread_create(&some_thread, NULL, print_the_arguments, (void *) &args)
A good way to remember is that all of this function's arguments should be addresses.
some_thread
is declared statically, so the address is sent properly using &
.
I would create a pthread_attr_t
variable, then use pthread_attr_init()
on it and pass that variable's address. But, passing a NULL
pointer is valid as well.
The &
in front of the function label is what is causing the issue here. The label used is already a void*
to a function, so only the label is necessary.
To say != 0
with the final argument would seem to cause undetermined behavior. Adding this means that a boolean is being passed instead of a reference.
Akash Agrawal's answer is also part of the solution to this code's problem.
You can solve this by simply adding class to modal-header
<div class="modal-header bg-primary text-white">
Suppose the pattern you want is abc+d. You want to match the second occurrence of this pattern in a string.
You would construct the following regex:
abc+d.*?(abc+d)
This would match strings of the form: <your-pattern>...<your-pattern>
. Since we're using the reluctant qualifier *? we're safe that there cannot be another match of between the two. Using matcher groups which pretty much all regex implementations provide you would then retrieve the string in the bracketed group which is what you want.
After creating your client specifying the binding and endpoint address, you can assign an OperationTimeout,
client.InnerChannel.OperationTimeout = new TimeSpan(0, 5, 0);
create an xml gradient.xml file under drawable folder
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<item>
<shape android:shape="rectangle" >
<corners android:radius="50dip" />
<stroke android:width="1dip" android:color="#667162" />
<gradient android:angle="-90" android:startColor="#ffffff" android:endColor="#ffffff" />
</shape>
</item>
</selector>
then add this to your TextView
android:background="@drawable/gradient"
There is a much easier way now : android-holo-colors.com
It will let you change the colors of all holo drawables (buttons, spinners, ...) easily. You select the color and then download a zip file containing drawables for all resolutions.

You can use flexbox to lay out your items:
#parent {_x000D_
display: flex;_x000D_
}_x000D_
#narrow {_x000D_
width: 200px;_x000D_
background: lightblue;_x000D_
/* Just so it's visible */_x000D_
}_x000D_
#wide {_x000D_
flex: 1;_x000D_
/* Grow to rest of container */_x000D_
background: lightgreen;_x000D_
/* Just so it's visible */_x000D_
}
_x000D_

<div id="wide">Wide (rest of width)</div>_x000D_
<div id="narrow">Narrow (200px)</div>_x000D_

_x000D_
This is basically just scraping the surface of flexbox. Flexbox can do pretty amazing things.
For older browser support, you can use CSS float and a width properties to solve it.
#narrow {_x000D_
float: right;_x000D_

background: lightgreen;_x000D_
}
_x000D_
<div id="parent">_x000D_
<div id="wide">Wide (rest of width)</div>_x000D_
<div id="narrow">Narrow (200px)</div>_x000D_
</div>

If the to-be-updated component is not inside the same NamingContainer
component (ui:repeat
, h:form
, h:dataTable
, etc), then you need to specify the "absolute" client ID. Prefix with :
(the default NamingContainer
separator character) to start from root.
<p:ajax process="@this" update="count :subTotal"/>
To be sure, check the client ID of the subTotal
component in the generated HTML for the actual value. If it's inside for example a h:form
as well, then it's prefixed with its client ID as well and you would need to fix it accordingly.
<p:ajax process="@this" update="count :formId:subTotal"/>
Space separation of IDs is more recommended as <f:ajax>
doesn't support comma separation and starters would otherwise get confused.
Alternatively,
1) Without touching System.Reflection
namespace,
GETNAME(new { myInput });
public static string GETNAME<T>(T myInput) where T : class
{
if (myInput == null)
return string.Empty;
return myInput.ToString().TrimStart('{').TrimEnd('}').Split('=')[0].Trim();
}
2) The below one can be faster though (from my tests)
GETNAME(new { variable });
public static string GETNAME<T>(T myInput) where T : class
{
if (myInput == null)
return string.Empty;
return typeof(T).GetProperties()[0].Name;
}
You can also extend this for properties of objects (may be with extension methods):
new { myClass.MyProperty1 }.GETNAME();
You can cache property values to improve performance further as property names don't change during runtime.
The Expression approach is going to be slower for my taste. To get parameter name and value together in one go see this answer of mine

scrollTop: $(id_or_Name).offset().top-70
}, timelength, function(){
window.location.hash = id_or_Name;
});
}
There are a few important informations missing from your question:
$ vim --version
?If your Vim was built with clipboard support, you are supposed to use the clipboard register like this, in normal mode:
gg"+yG
If your Vim doesn't have clipboard support, you can manage to copy text from Vim to your OS clipboard via other programs. This pretty much depends on your OS but you didn't say what it is so we can't really help.
However, if your Vim is crippled, the best thing to do is to install a proper build with clipboard support but I can't tell you how either because I don't know what OS you use.
edit
On debian based systems, the following command will install a proper Vim with clipboard, ruby, python… support.
$ sudo apt-get install vim-gnome
You can use the checked

<input type="radio" checked="checked">
Here's a method for getting the version from the pom.properties, falling back to getting it from the manifest
public synchronized String getVersion() {
String version = null;
// try to load from maven properties first
try {
Properties p = new Properties();
InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream("/META-INF/maven/com.my.group/my-artefact/pom.properties");
if (is != null) {
p.load(is);
version = p.getProperty("version", "");
}
} catch (Exception e) {
// ignore
}
// fallback to using Java API
if (version == null) {
Package aPackage = getClass().getPackage();
if (aPackage != null) {
version = aPackage.getImplementationVersion();
if (version == null) {
version = aPackage.getSpecificationVersion();
}
}
}
if (version == null) {
// we could not compute the version so use a blank
version = "";
}
return version;
}
Using a void * means that the function can take a pointer that doesn't need to be a specific type. For example, in socket functions, you have
send(void * pData, int nLength)
this means you can call it in many ways, for example
char * data = "blah";
send(data, strlen(data));
POINT p;
p.x = 1;
p.y = 2;
send(&p, sizeof(POINT));
Semaphore can be counted, while mutex can only count to 1.
Suppose you have a thread running which accepts client connections. This thread can handle 10 clients simultaneously. Then each new client sets the semaphore until it reaches 10. When the Semaphore has 10 flags, then your thread won't accept new connections
Mutex are usually used for guarding stuff. Suppose your 10 clients can access multiple parts of the system. Then you can protect a part of the system with a mutex so when 1 client is connected to that sub-system, no one else should have access. You can use a Semaphore for this purpose too. A mutex is a "Mutual Exclusion Semaphore".
git reset --hard && git clean -df
Caution: This will reset and delete any untracked files.
If you have lots of columns and only one is different you could do:
In[1]: grouper = df.groupby('Company Name')
In[2]: res = grouper.count()
In[3]: res['Amount'] = grouper.Amount.sum()
In[4]: res
Out[4]:
Organisation Name Amount
Company Name
Vifor Pharma UK Ltd 5 4207.93
Note you can then rename the Organisation Name column as you wish.
You need to upload the image aswell, then link to the image on the server.
Huffman encoding is a sensible option here. Gzip and friends do this, but the way they work is to build a Huffman tree for the input, send that, then send the data encoded with the tree. If the tree is large relative to the data, there may be no not saving in size.
However, it is possible to avoid sending a tree: instead, you arrange for the sender and receiver to already have one. It can't be built specifically for every string, but you can have a single global tree used to encode all strings. If you build it from the same language as the input strings (English or whatever), you should still get good compression, although not as good as with a custom tree for every input.
If you have <deployment retail="true"/>
in your .NET Framework's machine.config, you won't see detailed error messages. Make sure that setting is false, or not present.
It wasn't working for me. I run crontab with sudo, so I switched to root, did the above suggestions, and crontab would open in vim, but it still wouldn't from my user account. Finally I ran sudo select-editor
from the user account and that did the trick.
I concur with the other answers. UUIDs are safe enough for nearly all practical purposes1, and certainly for yours.
But suppose (hypothetically) that they aren't.
Is there a better system or a pattern of some type to alleviate this issue?
Here are a couple of approaches:
Use a bigger UUID. For instance, instead of a 128 random bits, use 256 or 512 or ... Each bit you add to a type-4 style UUID will reduce the probability of a collision by a half, assuming that you have a reliable source of entropy2.
Build a centralized or distributed service that generates UUIDs and records each and every one it has ever issued. Each time it generates a new one, it checks that the UUID has never been issued before. Such a service would be technically straight-forward to implement (I think) if we assumed that the people running the service were absolutely trustworthy, incorruptible, etcetera. Unfortunately, they aren't ... especially when there is the possibility of governments' security organizations interfering. So, this approach is probably impractical, and may be3 impossible in the real world.
1 - If uniqueness of UUIDs determined whether nuclear missiles got launched at your country's capital city, a lot of your fellow citizens would not be convinced by "the probability is extremely low". Hence my "nearly all" qualification.
2 - And here's a philosophical question for you. Is anything ever truly random? How would we know if it wasn't? Is the universe as we know it a simulation? Is there a God who might conceivably "tweak" the laws of physics to alter an outcome?
3 - If anyone knows of any research papers on this problem, please comment.
One possible idea is to write separate constructor function
//Something is the structure we work with
type Something struct {
Text string
DefaultText string
}
// NewSomething create new instance of Something
func NewSomething(text string) Something {
something := Something{}
something.Text = text
something.DefaultText = "default text"
return something
}
We can use pattern to validate it.
android.util.Patterns.PHONE
public class GeneralUtils {
private static boolean isValidPhoneNumber(String phoneNumber) {
return !TextUtils.isEmpty(phoneNumber) && android.util.Patterns.PHONE.matcher(phoneNumber).matches();
}
}

The docker run
command has a --ulimit
flag you can use this flag to set the open file limit in your docker container.
Run the following command when spinning up your container to set the open file limit.
docker run --ulimit nofile=<softlimit>:<hardlimit>
the first value before the colon indicates the soft file limit and the value after the colon indicates the hard file limit. you can verify this by running your container in interactive mode and executing the following command in your containers shell ulimit -n

If you want unmodifiable map, finally java 9 added a cool factory method of
to Map
interface. Similar method is added to Set, List as well.
Map<String, String> unmodifiableMap = Map.of("key1", "value1", "key2", "value2");
The stopit
package, found on pypi, seems to handle timeouts well.
I like the @stopit.threading_timeoutable
decorator, which adds a timeout
parameter to the decorated function, which does what you expect, it stops the function.
Check it out on pypi: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/stopit
if ([self.locationManager respondsToSelector:@selector(setAllowsBackgroundLocationUpdates:)]) {
[self.locationManager setAllowsBackgroundLocationUpdates:YES];
}
This is needed for background location tracking since iOS 9.
In other thread I commented a solution for this issue in two ways:
First method:
func Find(slice interface{}, f func(value interface{}) bool) int {
s := reflect.ValueOf(slice)
if s.Kind() == reflect.Slice {
for index := 0; index < s.Len(); index++ {
if f(s.Index(index).Interface()) {
return index
}
}
}
return -1
}
Use example:
type UserInfo struct {
UserId int
}
func main() {
var (
destinationList []UserInfo
userId int = 123
)
destinationList = append(destinationList, UserInfo {
UserId : 23,
})
destinationList = append(destinationList, UserInfo {
UserId : 12,
})
idx := Find(destinationList, func(value interface{}) bool {
return value.(UserInfo).UserId == userId
})
if idx < 0 {
fmt.Println("not found")
} else {
fmt.Println(idx)
}
}
Second method with less computational cost:
func Search(length int, f func(index int) bool) int {
for index := 0; index < length; index++ {
if f(index) {
return index
}
}
return -1
}
Use example:
type UserInfo struct {
UserId int
}
func main() {
var (
destinationList []UserInfo
userId int = 123
)
destinationList = append(destinationList, UserInfo {
UserId : 23,
})
destinationList = append(destinationList, UserInfo {
UserId : 123,
})
idx := Search(len(destinationList), func(index int) bool {
return destinationList[index].UserId == userId
})
if idx < 0 {
fmt.Println("not found")
} else {
fmt.Println(idx)
}
}
This is the resolution of the screen that the given component is currently assigned (something like most part of the root window is visible on that screen).
public Rectangle getCurrentScreenBounds(Component component) {
return component.getGraphicsConfiguration().getBounds();
}
Usage:
Rectangle currentScreen = getCurrentScreenBounds(frameOrWhateverComponent);
int currentScreenWidth = currentScreen.width // current screen width
int currentScreenHeight = currentScreen.height // current screen height
// absolute coordinate of current screen > 0 if left of this screen are further screens
int xOfCurrentScreen = currentScreen.x
If you want to respect toolbars, etc. you'll need to calculate with this, too:
GraphicsConfiguration gc = component.getGraphicsConfiguration();
Insets screenInsets = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenInsets(gc);
And if everything else fails from these great choice of answers, you can always use "find" like this. Or you may need to use sudo
If you are root, just type $$> find / -name 'postgres'
If you are a user, you will need sudo priv's to run it through all the directories
I run it this way, from the /
base to find the whole path that the element is found in. This will return any files or directories with the "postgres" in it.
You could do the same thing looking for the pg_hba.conf
or postgresql.conf
files also.
I just added that to the media object manually
let media = document.querySelector('.my-video');
media.isplaying = false;
...
if(media.isplaying) //do something
Then just toggle it when i hit play or pause.
Minor addition to what has been said before. You likely want to return a dataframe. This would be done as
import pypyodbc
import pandas as pd
cnxn = pypyodbc.connect("Driver={SQL Server Native Client 11.0};"
"Server=server_name;"
"Database=db_name;"
"uid=User;pwd=password")
df = pd.read_sql_query('select * from table', cnxn)
git checkout stash@{N} <File(s)/Folder(s) path>
Eg. To restore only ./test.c file and ./include folder from last stashed,
git checkout stash@{0} ./test.c ./include
Modules go in site-packages
and executables go in your system's executable path. For your environment, this path is /usr/local/bin/
.
To avoid having to deal with this, simply use easy_install
, distribute
or pip
. These tools know which files need to go where.
You can achieve an expected result with requests
library as well:
import requests
url = "http://www.mywebsite.org/Data%20Set.zip"
print(f"Before: {url}")
print(f"After: {requests.utils.unquote(url)}")
Output:
$ python3 test_url_unquote.py
Before: http://www.mywebsite.org/Data%20Set.zip
After: http://www.mywebsite.org/Data Set.zip
Might be handy if you are already using requests
, without using another library for this job.
you can read this doc .this concept is well explained here http://developer.android.com/training/basics/fragments/communicating.html
This worked for me:
Check the length
property and use ?
to avoid undefined
errors.
So your example would be:
<div class="comeBack_up" *ngIf="previous_info?.length">
UPDATE
The length property only exists on arrays. Since the question was about objects, use Object.getOwnPropertyNames(obj)
to get an array of properties from the object. The example becomes:
<div class="comeBack_up" *ngIf="previous_info && Object.getOwnPropertyNames(previous_info).length > 0">
The previous_info &&
is added to check if the object exists. If it evaluates to true
the next statement checks if the object has at least on proporty. It does not check whether the property has a value.
The C++ ? General ? Additional Include Directories parameter is for listing directories where the compiler will search for header files.
You need to tell the linker where to look for libraries to link to. To access this setting, right-click on the project name in the Solution Explorer window, then Properties ? Linker ? General ? Additional Library Directories. Enter <boost_path>\stage\lib
here (this is the path where the libraries are located if you build Boost using default options).

It involves eyeballing it (well I suppose you could get out a calculator and calculate) but just insert said control on the form and then remove any anchoring (anchor = None).
As you didn't give us very much information, I'm assuming the language you're writing the code in is C#. First of all: Prefer System.Collections.Generic.List over an ArrayList. Secondly: One way would be to loop through every item in the list and check whether it contains "How". Another way would be to use LINQ. Here's a quick example that filters out every item which doesn't contain "How":
var list = new List<string>();
list.AddRange(new string[] {
"How are you?",
"How you doing?",
"Joe",
"Mike", });
foreach (string str in list.Where(s => s.Contains("How")))
{
Console.WriteLine(str);
}
Console.ReadLine();
A slightly faster approach than looping on xrange(N)
is:
import itertools
for _ in itertools.repeat(None, N):
do_something()
You can use jQuery's hover
event to keep track manually:
$(...).hover(
function() { $.data(this, 'hover', true); },
function() { $.data(this, 'hover', false); }
).data('hover', false);
if ($(something).data('hover'))
//Hovered!
Try this code it works:
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Dim CustomeDate As String = ("#" & DOE.Value.Date.ToString("d/MM/yyyy") & "#")
MsgBox(CustomeDate.ToString)
con.Open()
dadap = New System.Data.OleDb.OleDbDataAdapter("SELECT * FROM QRY_Tran where FORMAT(qry_tran.doe,'d/mm/yyyy') = " & CustomeDate & "", con)
ds = New System.Data.DataSet
dadap.Fill(ds)
Dgview.DataSource = ds.Tables(0)
con.Close()
Note : if u use dd
for date representation it will return nothing while selecting 1 to 9 so use d
for selection
'Date time format
'MMM Three-letter month.
'ddd Three-letter day of the week.
'd Day of the month.
'HH Two-digit hours on 24-hour scale.
'mm Two-digit minutes.
'yyyy Four-digit year.
The documentation contains a full list of the date formats.
I assume X
and Y
are arrays? If so, there's a very simple way to do this:
x = [1, 1, 2, 4]
y = [1, 2, 2, 2]
# intersection
x & y # => [1, 2]
# union
x | y # => [1, 2, 4]
# difference
x - y # => [4]

Thanks for the great answers! Fastest way to get a few one-off files to Colab from Google drive: Load the Drive helper and mount
from google.colab import drive
This will prompt for authorization.
drive.mount('/content/drive')
Open the link in a new tab-> you will get a code - copy that back into the prompt you now have access to google drive check:
!ls "/content/drive/My Drive"
then copy file(s) as needed:
!cp "/content/drive/My Drive/xy.py" "xy.py"
confirm that files were copied:
!ls
Note: there is no guarantee this code will work in future versions of the .Net framework. Using private .Net framework internals as done here through reflection is probably not good overall. Use the interop solution mentioned at the bottom, as the Windows API is less likely to change.
If you are looking for a Folder picker that looks more like the Windows 7 dialog, with the ability to copy and paste from a textbox at the bottom and the navigation pane on the left with favorites and common locations, then you can get access to that in a very lightweight way.
The FolderBrowserDialog UI is very minimal:
But you can have this instead:
Here's a class that opens a Vista-style folder picker using the .Net private IFileDialog
interface, without directly using interop in the code (.Net takes care of that for you). It falls back to the pre-Vista dialog if not in a high enough Windows version. Should work in Windows 7, 8, 9, 10 and higher (theoretically).

I developed this as a cleaned up version of .NET Win 7-style folder select dialog by Bill Seddon of lyquidity.com (I have no affiliation). I wrote my own because his solution requires an additional Reflection class that isn't needed for this focused purpose, uses exception-based flow control, doesn't cache the results of its reflection calls. Note that the nested static VistaDialog
class is so that its static reflection variables don't try to get populated if the Show
method is never called.
It is used like so in a Windows Form:
var dialog = new FolderSelectDialog {
InitialDirectory = musicFolderTextBox.Text,
Title = "Select a folder to import music from"
};
if (dialog.Show(Handle)) {
musicFolderTextBox.Text = dialog.FileName;
}
You can of course play around with its options and what properties it exposes. For example, it allows multiselect in the Vista-style dialog.
Also, please note that Simon Mourier gave an answer that shows how to do the exact same job using interop against the Windows API directly, though his version would have to be supplemented to use the older style dialog if in an older version of Windows. Unfortunately, I hadn't found his post yet when I worked up my solution. Name your poison!
Try this
#dimScreen {
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background:rgba(255,255,255,0.5);
position: fixed;
top: 0;
left: 0;
}
In my case my request object inherited from base object. Without knowingly I added a property with int? in my request object and my base object also has same property ( same name ) with int datatype. I noticed this and deleted the property which I added in request object and after that it worked fine.
Because the first option is already selected, the change event is never fired. Add an empty value as the first one and check for empty in the location assignment.

Change my JavaScript connection from localhost to 127.0.0.1 and it worked fine.
The same was occurring with MongoDB Compass too.

Had the same error but with a different scenario. I had my state as
this.state = {
date: new Date()
}
so when I was asking it in my Class Component I had
p>Date = {this.state.date}</p>
Instead of
p>Date = {this.state.date.toLocaleDateString()}</p>
driver.execute_script("document.getElementById('your ID Element').scrollIntoView();")
it's working for my case.
You can pass data as the third argument to call()
. Or, depending on your API, it's possible you may want to use the sixth parameter.
From the docs:
$this->call($method, $uri, $parameters, $files, $server, $content);
This syntax is from the Visual Basic Select...Case Statement:
Dim number As Integer = 8
Select Case number
Case 1 To 5
Debug.WriteLine("Between 1 and 5, inclusive")
' The following is the only Case clause that evaluates to True.
Case 6, 7, 8
Debug.WriteLine("Between 6 and 8, inclusive")
Case Is < 1
Debug.WriteLine("Equal to 9 or 10")
Case Else
Debug.WriteLine("Not between 1 and 10, inclusive")
End Select
You cannot use this syntax in C#. Instead, you must use the syntax from your first example.
There is a lot of options and they all have their pros and cons. Here is list of options ordered by implementation difficulty.

Disclaimer: I'm the founder of ApiFlash. I did my best to provide an honest and useful answer.
NPP+ v7.9.1 with the latest version of XMLTools can't format exported VBA code from Office 2016/2019 Word. It puts all the code on the same line since it strips the CRLF out. Moreover, when you enable "auto validation" it errors out on the first VBA line that is, Attribute VB_Name = "The VBA module name". So any of the xml tool validations apparently can't be used for VBA validation.
This probably isn't the best way for your particular problem, but you can use the String.matches(String regex)
method or the matcher equivalent. We just need to construct a regular expression from your prospective title. Here it gets complex.
List<DVD> matchingDvds(String titleFragment) {
String escapedFragment = Pattern.quote(titleFragment);
// The pattern may have contained an asterisk, dollar sign, etc.
// For example, M*A*S*H, directed by Robert Altman.
Pattern pat = Pattern.compile(escapedFragment, Pattern.CASE_INSENSITIVE);
List<DVD> foundDvds = new ArrayList<>();
for (DVD dvd: catalog) {
Matcher m = pat.matcher(dvd.getTitle());
if (m.find()) {
foundDvds.add(dvd);
}
}
return foundDvds;
}
But this is inefficient, and it's being done purely in Java. You would do better to try one of these techniques:
Collator
and CollationKey
classes.boolean matches(String fragment)
. Have the DVD tell you what it matches.title
column of the DVD
table that way. Use JDBC or Hibernate or JPA or Spring Data, whichever you choose.Apache Lucene
and possibly Apache Solr
.If you can wait until Java 8, use lambda expressions. You can avoid the Pattern and Matcher class that I used above by building the regex this way:
String escapedFragment = Pattern.quote(titleFragment);
String fragmentAnywhereInString = ".*" + escapedFragment + ".*";
String caseInsensitiveFragment = "(?i)" + fragmentAnywhereInString;
// and in the loop, use:
if(dvd.getTitle().matches(caseInsensitiveFragment)) {
foundDvds.add(dvd);
}
But this compiles the pattern too many times. What about lower-casing everything?
if (dvd.getTitle().toLowerCase().contains(titleFragment.toLowerCase()))
Congratulations; you've just discovered the Turkish problem. Unless you state the locale in toLowerCase
, Java finds the current locale. And the lower-casing is slow because it has to take into account the Turkish dotless i and dotted I. At least you have no patterns and no matchers.
There is also whereRaw('RAND()')
which does the same, you can then chain ->get()
or ->first()
or even go crazy and add ->paginate(int)
.
What I looked for is not exactly pointed out in here in SO, I'm writing for the benefit of others who might search for similar. I faced an issue with one file (present in old repo) getting removed in the repo. And when I apply the patch, it fails as it couldn't find the file to be applied. (so my case is git patch fails for file got removed) '#git apply --reject' definitely gave a view but didn't quite get me to the fix. I couldn't use wiggle as it is not available for us in our build servers. In my case, I got through this problem by removing the entry of the 'file which got removed in the repo' from patch file I've tried applying, so I got all other changes applied without an issue (using 3 way merge, avoiding white space errors), And then manually merging content of file removed into where its moved.
Sometimes, patience is key.
I had the same problem with a java project with big node_modules / .m2 directories.
The indexing was very long so I paused it and it prevented me from using Run Configurations.
So I waited for the indexing to finish and only then I was able to run my main class.
This is how I would code up any truth table. For xor in particular we have:
| a | b | xor | |
|---|----|-------|-------------|
| T | T | F | |
| T | F | T | a and not b |
| F | T | T | not a and b |
| F | F | F | |
Just look at the T values in the answer column and string together all true cases with logical or. So, this truth table may be produced in case 2 or 3. Hence,
xor = lambda a, b: (a and not b) or (not a and b)

There are some default or existing modules in node.js when you download and install node.js like http, sys etc.
Since they are already in node.js, when we want to use these modules we basically do like import modules, but why? because they are already present in the node.js. Importing is like taking them from node.js and putting them into your program. And then using them.
Whereas Exports is exactly the opposite, you are creating the module you want, let's say the module addition.js and putting that module into the node.js, you do it by exporting it.
Before I write anything here, remember, module.exports.additionTwo is same as exports.additionTwo
Huh, so that's the reason, we do like
exports.additionTwo = function(x)
{return x+2;};
Be careful with the path
Lets say you have created an addition.js module,
exports.additionTwo = function(x){
return x + 2;
};
When you run this on your NODE.JS command prompt:
node
var run = require('addition.js');
This will error out saying
Error: Cannot find module addition.js
This is because the node.js process is unable the addition.js since we didn't mention the path. So, we have can set the path by using NODE_PATH
set NODE_PATH = path/to/your/additon.js
Now, this should run successfully without any errors!!
One more thing, you can also run the addition.js file by not setting the NODE_PATH, back to your nodejs command prompt:
node
var run = require('./addition.js');
Since we are providing the path here by saying it's in the current directory ./
this should also run successfully.
Using the jQuery URL Parser plugin, you should be able to do this:
jQuery.url.segment(1)
Here's what I currently use. The triple comment ( / * / * / * ) is for an integration that picks out header comments from the object definition.

It can be solved by using different attribute.
The reason is that the data doesn't match the datatype. I have come across the same issues that I forgot to make the fields match. Though my case is not same as yours, but it shows the similar error message.
The situation is that I copy a table, but accidently I misspell one field, so I change it using the ALTER
after creating the database. And the order of fields in both table is not identical. so when I use the INSERT INTO TableName SELECT * FROM TableName
, the result showed the similar errors: Operand type clash: datetime is incompatible with uniqueidentifier
This is a simiple example:
use example
go
create table Test1 (
id int primary key,
item uniqueidentifier,
inserted_at datetime
)
go
create table Test2 (
id int primary key,
inserted_at datetime
)
go
alter table Test2 add item uniqueidentifier;
go
--insert into Test1 (id, item, inserted_at) values (1, newid(), getdate()), (2, newid(), getdate());
insert into Test2 select * from Test1;
select * from Test1;
select * from Test2;
The error message is:
Msg 206, Level 16, State 2, Line 24
Operand type clash: uniqueidentifier is incompatible with datetime
If you are looking for non-jQuery solution that gives correct values in virtual pixels on mobile, and you think that plain window.innerHeight
or document.documentElement.clientHeight
can solve your problem, please study this link first: https://tripleodeon.com/assets/2011/12/table.html
The developer has done good testing that reveals the problem: you can get unexpected values for Android/iOS, landscape/portrait, normal/high density displays.
My current answer is not silver bullet yet (//todo), but rather a warning to those who are going to quickly copy-paste any given solution from this thread into production code.
I was looking for page width in virtual pixels on mobile, and I've found the only working code is (unexpectedly!) window.outerWidth
. I will later examine this table for correct solution giving height excluding navigation bar, when I have time.
Here is a sample helper class which converts an Object and returns an Expando with all public properties of the given object.
public static class dynamicHelper
{
public static ExpandoObject convertToExpando(object obj)
{
//Get Properties Using Reflections
BindingFlags flags = BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.Instance;
PropertyInfo[] properties = obj.GetType().GetProperties(flags);
//Add Them to a new Expando
ExpandoObject expando = new ExpandoObject();
foreach (PropertyInfo property in properties)
{
AddProperty(expando, property.Name, property.GetValue(obj));
}
return expando;
}
public static void AddProperty(ExpandoObject expando, string propertyName, object propertyValue)
{
//Take use of the IDictionary implementation
var expandoDict = expando as IDictionary;
if (expandoDict.ContainsKey(propertyName))
expandoDict[propertyName] = propertyValue;
else
expandoDict.Add(propertyName, propertyValue);
}
}
Usage:
//Create Dynamic Object
dynamic expandoObj= dynamicHelper.convertToExpando(myObject);
//Add Custom Properties
dynamicHelper.AddProperty(expandoObj, "dynamicKey", "Some Value");
Use jQuery....I know you say you're trying to teach someone javascript, but teach him a cleaner technique... for instance, I could:
<select id="navigation">
<option value="unit_01.htm">Unit 1</option>
<option value="#5.2">Bookmark 2</option>
</select>
And with a little jQuery, you could do:
$("#navigation").change(function()
{
document.location.href = $(this).val();
});
Unobtrusive, and with clean separation of logic and UI.
I haven't seen the Gas assembler specifically, but in general the stack is "implemented" by maintaining a reference to the location in memory where the top of the stack resides. The memory location is stored in a register, which has different names for different architectures, but can be thought of as the stack pointer register.
The pop and push commands are implemented in most architectures for you by building upon micro instructions. However, some "Educational Architectures" require you implement them your self. Functionally, push would be implemented somewhat like this:
load the address in the stack pointer register to a gen. purpose register x
store data y at the location x
increment stack pointer register by size of y
Also, some architectures store the last used memory address as the Stack Pointer. Some store the next available address.
