Maven parent pom vs modules pom

From my experience and Maven best practices there are two kinds of "parent poms"

  • "company" parent pom - this pom contains your company specific information and configuration that inherit every pom and doesn't need to be copied. These informations are:

    • repositories
    • distribution managment sections
    • common plugins configurations (like maven-compiler-plugin source and target versions)
    • organization, developers, etc

    Preparing this parent pom need to be done with caution, because all your company poms will inherit from it, so this pom have to be mature and stable (releasing a version of parent pom should not affect to release all your company projects!)

  • second kind of parent pom is a multimodule parent. I prefer your first solution - this is a default maven convention for multi module projects, very often represents VCS code structure

The intention is to be scalable to a large scale build so should be scalable to a large number of projects and artifacts.

Mutliprojects have structure of trees - so you aren't arrown down to one level of parent pom. Try to find a suitable project struture for your needs - a classic exmample is how to disrtibute mutimodule projects

A few bonus questions:

  • Where is the best place to define the various shared configuration as in source control, deployment directories, common plugins etc. (I'm assuming the parent but I've often been bitten by this and they've ended up in each project rather than a common one).

This configuration has to be wisely splitted into a "company" parent pom and project parent pom(s). Things related to all you project go to "company" parent and this related to current project go to project one's.

  • How do the maven-release plugin, hudson and nexus deal with how you set up your multi-projects (possibly a giant question, it's more if anyone has been caught out when by how a multi-project build has been set up)?

Company parent pom have to be released first. For multiprojects standard rules applies. CI server need to know all to build the project correctly.

Assuming no nulls, you GROUP BY the unique columns, and SELECT the MIN (or MAX) RowId as the row to keep. Then, just delete everything that didn't have a row id:

You are going to have to truncate the values yourself as strings before you put them into that column.

Otherwise, if you want more decimal places, you will need to change your declaration of the decimal column.

Using prepared statements with JDBCTemplate

I'd factor out the prepared statement handling to at least a method. In this case, because there are no results it is fairly simple (and assuming that the connection is an instance variable that doesn't change):

Which is pretty simple to integrate with other things, yes? And if you call the method many times, the update will only be constructed once and that will make things much faster. Well, assuming you don't do crazy things like doing each update in its own transaction...

Note that the types are fixed. This is because for any particular query/update, they should be fixed so as to allow the database to do its job efficiently. If you're just pulling arbitrary strings from a CSV file, pass them in as strings. There's also no locking; far better to keep individual connections to being used from a single thread instead.

Assignment makes pointer from integer without cast

You are returning char, and not char*, which is the pointer to the first character of an array.

If you want to return a new character array instead of doing in-place modification, you can ask for an already allocated pointer (char*) as parameter or an uninitialized pointer. In this last case you must allocate the proper number of characters for new string and remember that in C parameters as passed by value ALWAYS, so you must use char** as parameter in the case of array allocated internally by function. Of course, the caller must free that pointer later.

I think you're running into problems with the `r. I was able to remove the `r from your example, use only `n, and it worked. Of course, I don't know exactly how you generated the original string so I don't know what's in there.

I'd need to work a bit on this schema. But you can try with this trick, that is much more readable than the code you posted, and avoids the Join part (because it handles the Join logic outside the Criteria Query).

The error happens when you have compiled with higher version of Java and it is been tried to run with lower version of JRE. Even with minor version mismatch you would have this issue

I had issue compiling with JDK 1.8.0_31 and it was run with jdk1.8.0_25 and was displaying the same error. Once either the target is updated to higher version or compiled with same or lesser version would resolve the issue

Iterate through a C array

It depends. If it's a dynamically allocated array, that is, you created it calling malloc, then as others suggest you must either save the size of the array/number of elements somewhere or have a sentinel (a struct with a special value, that will be the last one).

If it's a static array, you can sizeof it's size/the size of one element. For example:

int array[10], array_size;
...
array_size = sizeof(array)/sizeof(int);

Note that, unless it's global, this only works in the scope where you initialized the array, because if you past it to another function it gets decayed to a pointer.

When should static_cast, dynamic_cast, const_cast and reinterpret_cast be used?

Use dynamic_cast for converting pointers/references within an inheritance hierarchy.

Use static_cast for ordinary type conversions.

Use reinterpret_cast for low-level reinterpreting of bit patterns. Use with extreme caution.

Use const_cast for casting away const/volatile. Avoid this unless you are stuck using a const-incorrect API.

How to make inline functions in C#

The answer to your question is yes and no, depending on what you mean by "inline function". If you're using the term like it's used in C++ development then the answer is no, you can't do that - even a lambda expression is a function call. While it's true that you can define inline lambda expressions to replace function declarations in C#, the compiler still ends up creating an anonymous function.

Here's some really simple code I used to test this (VS2015):

It's a really short function, but it is a function.

Is this worth any effort to optimize? Nah. Maybe if you're calling it thousands of times a second, but if performance is that important then you should consider calling native code written in C/C++ to do the work.

In my experience readability and maintainability are almost always more important than optimizing for a few microseconds gain in speed. Use functions to make your code readable and to control variable scoping and don't worry about performance.

In SQL Server, using a prepared statement is definitely injection-proof because the input parameters don't form the query. It means that the executed query is not a dynamic query. Example of an SQL injection vulnerable statement.

Now if the value in the inoutusername variable is something like a' or 1=1 --, this query now becomes:

select * from table where username='a' or 1=1 -- and password=asda

And the rest is commented after --, so it never gets executed and bypassed as using the prepared statement example as below.

Here’s the modern answer (valid from 2014 and on). The accepted answer was a very fine answer in 2011. These days I recommend no one uses the Date, DateFormat and SimpleDateFormat classes. It all goes more natural with the modern Java date and time API.

To get a date-time object from your millis:

    ZonedDateTime dateTime = Instant.ofEpochMilli(millis)
            .atZone(ZoneId.of("Australia/Sydney"));

If millis equals 1318388699000L, this gives you 2011-10-12T14:04:59+11:00[Australia/Sydney]. Should the code in some strange way end up on a JVM that doesn’t know Australia/Sydney time zone, you can be sure to be notified through an exception.

@bokan indicated me that i should add a warning here.

if you have a ttl of 0 this means the every cached item can be purged immediately. so if you have a small cache size like 2mb and a ttl of 0 this would render the apc useless, because the data in the cache gets always overwritten.

lowering the ttl means only that the cache cannot become full, only with items which can't be replaced.

so you have to choose a good balance between ttl and cache size.

in my case i had a cache size of 1gb, so it was more than enough for me.

had the same issue on centos 5 with php 5.2.17 and noticed that if the cache size is small and the ttl parameter is "high" (like 7200) while having a lot of php files to cache, then the cache fills up quite fast and apc doesn't find anything which it can remove because all files in the cache still fit in the ttl.

increasing the memory size is only a part solution, you still run in this error if you cache fills up and all files are within the ttl.

so my solution was to set the ttl to 0, so apc fills up the cache an there is allways the possibility for apc to clear some memory for new data.

Conditionizr takes care of this for you and solves the Opera issue:

You're doing a LEFT OUTTER JOIN which indicates that you want every tuple from the table on the LEFT of the statement regardless of it has a matching record in the RIGHT table. This being the case, your results are being pruned from the RIGHT table but you're ending up with the same results as if you didn't include the AND at all within the ON clause.

Performing the AND in the WHERE clause causes the prune to happen after the LEFT JOIN takes place.

Example: "hello"

So when you compare a char to a char* you will get that same compiling error.

I have had the same problem (need to retrieve from huge file specific line).

Surely, I can every time run through all records in file and stop it when counter will be equal to target line, but it does not work effectively in a case when you want to obtain plural number of specific rows. That caused main issue to be resolved - how handle directly to necessary place of file.

I found out next decision: Firstly I completed dictionary with start position of each line (key is line number, and value – cumulated length of previous lines).

Let's break down your examples one by one.

@media (max-width:632px)

This one is saying for a window with a max-width of 632px that you want to apply these styles. At that size you would be talking about anything smaller than a desktop screen in most cases.

@media screen and (max-width:632px)

This one is saying for a device with a screen and a window with max-width of 632px apply the style. This is almost identical to the above except you are specifying screen as opposed to the other available media types the most common other one being print.

@media only screen and (max-width:632px)

Here is a quote straight from W3C to explain this one.

The keyword ‘only’ can also be used to hide style sheets from older user agents. User agents must process media queries starting with ‘only’ as if the ‘only’ keyword was not present.

As there is no such media type as "only", the style sheet should be ignored by older browsers.

my good friend Alessandro have a nice post regarding bit operators in C#, you should read about it so you know what to do.

It's pretty easy. If you break down the IP given to you to binary, the network address is the ip address where all of the host bits (the 0's in the subnet mask) are 0,and the last address, the broadcast address, is where all the host bits are 1.

For example:

ip 192.168.33.72 mask 255.255.255.192

11111111.11111111.11111111.11000000 (subnet mask)
11000000.10101000.00100001.01001000 (ip address)

The bolded parts is the HOST bits (the rest are network bits). If you turn all the host bits to 0 on the IP, you get the first possible IP:

11000000.10101000.00100001.01000000 (192.168.33.64)

If you turn all the host bits to 1's, then you get the last possible IP (aka the broadcast address):

11000000.10101000.00100001.01111111 (192.168.33.127)

So for my example:

the network is "192.168.33.64/26":
Network address: 192.168.33.64
First usable: 192.168.33.65 (you can use the network address, but generally this is considered bad practice)
Last useable: 192.168.33.126

Execute Immediate within a stored procedure keeps giving insufficient priviliges error

Oracle's security model is such that when executing dynamic SQL using Execute Immediate (inside the context of a PL/SQL block or procedure), the user does not have privileges to objects or commands that are granted via role membership. Your user likely has "DBA" role or something similar. You must explicitly grant "drop table" permissions to this user. The same would apply if you were trying to select from tables in another schema (such as sys or system) - you would need to grant explicit SELECT privileges on that table to this user.

The sql array type is not neccessary. Not if the element type is a primitive one. (Varchar, number, date,...)

Very basic sample:

When you want to reuse it, then it might be interesting to know how that would look like. If you issue several commands than those could be grouped in a package. The private package variable trick from above has its downsides. When you add variables to a package, you give it state and now it doesn't act as a stateless bunch of functions but as some weird sort of singleton object instance instead.

e.g. When you recompile the body, it will raise exceptions in sessions that already used it before. (because the variable values got invalided)

However, you could declare the type in a package (or globally in sql), and use it as a paramter in methods that should use it.

Percentage width in a RelativeLayout

You can accomplish this via layout weights. A weight dictates how the unclaimed portions of the screen are divided up. Give each EditText a layout_width of 0, and some proportional weight. I.e., give one a weight of 2, and the other a weight of 1 if you want the first to take up twice as much space.

Change UITableView height dynamically

Lots of the answers here don't honor changes of the table or are way too complicated. Using a subclass of UITableView that will properly set intrinsicContentSize is a far easier solution when using autolayout. No height constraints etc. needed.

Sniffing/logging your own Android Bluetooth traffic

Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) does have a new sniffing capability for Bluetooth. You should give it a try.

If you don’t own a sniffing device however, you aren’t necessarily out of luck. In many cases we can obtain positive results with a new feature introduced in Android 4.4: the ability to capture all Bluetooth HCI packets and save them to a file.

When the Analyst has finished populating the capture file by running the application being tested, he can pull the file generated by Android into the external storage of the device and analyze it (with Wireshark, for example).

Once this setting is activated, Android will save the packet capture to /sdcard/btsnoop_hci.log to be pulled by the analyst and inspected.

Type the following in case /sdcard/ is not the right path on your particular device:

We can then open a shell and pull the file: $adb pull /sdcard/btsnoop_hci.log and inspect it with Wireshark, just like a PCAP collected by sniffing WiFi traffic for example, so it is very simple and well supported:

What's the shebang/hashbang (#!) in Facebook and new Twitter URLs for?

The octothorpe/number-sign/hashmark has a special significance in an URL, it normally identifies the name of a section of a document. The precise term is that the text following the hash is the anchor portion of an URL. If you use Wikipedia, you will see that most pages have a table of contents and you can jump to sections within the document with an anchor, such as:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Turing identifies the page and Early_computers_and_the_Turing_test is the anchor. The reason that Facebook and other Javascript-driven applications (like my own Wood & Stones) use anchors is that they want to make pages bookmarkable (as suggested by a comment on that answer) or support the back button without reloading the entire page from the server.

In order to support bookmarking and the back button, you need to change the URL. However, if you change the page portion (with something like window.location = 'http://raganwald.com';) to a different URL or without specifying an anchor, the browser will load the entire page from the URL. Try this in Firebug or Safari's Javascript console. Load http://minimal-github.gilesb.com/raganwald. Now in the Javascript console, type:

You will see the page refresh from the server. Now type:

window.location = 'http://minimal-github.gilesb.com/raganwald#try_this';

Aha! No page refresh! Type:

Still no refresh. Use the back button to see that these URLs are in the browser history. The browser notices that we are on the same page but just changing the anchor, so it doesn't reload. Thanks to this behaviour, we can have a single Javascript application that appears to the browser to be on one 'page' but to have many bookmarkable sections that respect the back button. The application must change the anchor when a user enters different 'states', and likewise if a user uses the back button or a bookmark or a link to load the application with an anchor included, the application must restore the appropriate state.

So there you have it: Anchors provide Javascript programmers with a mechanism for making bookmarkable, indexable, and back-button-friendly applications. This technique has a name: It is a Single Page Interface.

p.s. There is a fourth benefit to this technique: Loading page content through AJAX and then injecting it into the current DOM can be much faster than loading a new page. In addition to the speed increase, further tricks like loading certain portions in the background can be performed under the programmer's control.

p.p.s. Given all of that, the 'bang' or exclamation mark is a further hint to Google's web crawler that the exact same page can be loaded from the server at a slightly different URL. See Ajax Crawling. Another technique is to make each link point to a server-accessible URL and then use unobtrusive Javascript to change it into an SPI with an anchor.

Where <ParentDirectory> is replaced with the full path of the directory containing the item you would like the name for.

While the output is not a simple as Timbo's answer, it will list all the items in the specified directory with the actual name and (if different) the short name.

If you do use for %I in (.) do echo %~sI you can replace the . with the full path of the file/folder to get the short name of that file/folder (otherwise the short name of the current folder is returned).

  3. type cmd in the address bar. It opens a command prompt window in that location

ComboBox SelectedItem vs SelectedValue

This is a long-standing "feature" of the list controls in .NET in my experience. Personally, I would just bind to the on change of the SelectedValue property and write whatever additional code is necessary to workaround this "feature" (such as having two properties, binding to one for SelectedValue, and then, on the set of that property, updating the value from SelectedItem in your custom code).

The DocumentFragment acts as a light weight document object that can be used to collect elements. Actually you are right: it runs another instance of make. A possible solution would be:

What happens in the case of parallel builds with make’s -j option? There's a way of fixing the order. From the make manual, section 4.2:

Occasionally, however, you have a situation where you want to impose a specific ordering on the rules to be invoked without forcing the target to be updated if one of those rules is executed. In that case, you want to define order-only prerequisites. Order-only prerequisites can be specified by placing a pipe symbol (|) in the prerequisites list: any prerequisites to the left of the pipe symbol are normal; any prerequisites to the right are order-only: targets : normal-prerequisites | order-only-prerequisites

The normal prerequisites section may of course be empty. Also, you may still declare multiple lines of prerequisites for the same target: they are appended appropriately. Note that if you declare the same file to be both a normal and an order-only prerequisite, the normal prerequisite takes precedence (since they are a strict superset of the behavior of an order-only prerequisite).

Hence the makefile becomes

In Project Structure (app) I changed the Compile SDK Version from API 22 to API 21 and changed Build Tools Version from 22.0.0 to 21.1.2.

When I downloaded the latest API 22 Adroid 5.1, every project I create is using this API and causes me the problem. Maybe, Android Team is looking for a fix for this one.

Object Required Error in excel VBA

The Set statement is only used for object variables (like Range, Cell or Worksheet in Excel), while the simple equal sign '=' is used for elementary datatypes like Integer. You can find a good explanation for when to use set here.

The other problem is, that your variable g1val isn't actually declared as Integer, but has the type Variant. This is because the Dim statement doesn't work the way you would expect it, here (see example below). The variable has to be followed by its type right away, otherwise its type will default to Variant. You can only shorten your Dim statement this way:

just remove them

Because sometimes for some helper functions, the IDE complains that the extension is missing from the composer.json file. Immediately press Alt+Enter to add it to the composer. But that doesn't mean that composer will count them in. The composer will complain next time while doing some operations. So that, we should not blindly type Alt+Enter rather than installing them manually in composer by doing composer install <package-name>.

As I think you have entered it manually, you should remove it, then install it in proper procedure composer install <package-name>

Or else you can run composer update to count that added dependencies in.

Adjusting HttpWebRequest Connection Timeout in C#

I believe that the problem is that the WebRequest measures the time only after the request is actually made. If you submit multiple requests to the same address then the ServicePointManager will throttle your requests and only actually submit as many concurrent connections as the value of the corresponding ServicePoint.ConnectionLimit which by default gets the value from ServicePointManager.DefaultConnectionLimit. Application CLR host sets this to 2, ASP host to 10. So if you have a multithreaded application that submits multiple requests to the same host only two are actually placed on the wire, the rest are queued up.

I have not researched this to a conclusive evidence whether this is what really happens, but on a similar project I had things were horrible until I removed the ServicePoint limitation.

Another factor to consider is the DNS lookup time. Again, is my belief not backed by hard evidence, but I think the WebRequest does not count the DNS lookup time against the request timeout. DNS lookup time can show up as very big time factor on some deployments.

And yes, you must code your app around the WebRequest.BeginGetRequestStream (for POSTs with content) and WebRequest.BeginGetResponse (for GETs and POSTSs). Synchronous calls will not scale (I won't enter into details why, but that I do have hard evidence for). Anyway, the ServicePoint issue is orthogonal to this: the queueing behavior happens with async calls too.

That's a very complex question for a simple answer.

You may want to take a look at existing API frameworks, like Swagger Specification (OpenAPI), and services like apiary.io and apiblueprint.org.

Also, here's an example of the same REST API described, organized and even styled in three different ways. It may be a good start for you to learn from existing common ways.

At the very top level I think quality REST API docs require at least the following:

  • a list of all your API endpoints (base/relative URLs)
  • corresponding HTTP GET/POST/... method type for each endpoint
  • request/response MIME-type (how to encode params and parse replies)
  • a sample request/response, including HTTP headers
  • type and format specified for all params, including those in the URL, body and headers
  • a brief text description and important notes
  • a short code snippet showing the use of the endpoint in popular web programming languages

Also there are a lot of JSON/XML-based doc frameworks which can parse your API definition or schema and generate a convenient set of docs for you. But the choice for a doc generation system depends on your project, language, development environment and many other things.

MySQL JOIN the most recent row only?

For anyone who must work with an older version of MySQL (pre-5.0 ish) you are unable to do sub-queries for this type of query. Here is the solution I was able to do and it seemed to work great.

I haven't tested this on newer versions of MySQL but it works on 4.0.30.

This answer is a little late, but I stumbled upon a solution that makes everything a LOT easier.

You can actually assign the form name directly to your controller if you're using the controllerAs syntax and then reference it from your "this" variable. Here's how I did it in my code:

I configured the controller via ui-router (but you can do it however you want, even in the HTML directly with something like <div ng-controller="someController as myCtrl">) This is what it might look like in a ui-router configuration:

About applying a soft reset: Assume you have the commits A to E (A---B---C---D---E) and you like to delete the last commit (E). Then you can do a soft reset to commit D. Once you're finished training, then you run against your testing set and verify that the accuracy is sufficient.

Training Set: this data set is used to adjust the weights on the neural network.

You're not adjusting the weights of the network with this data set, you're just verifying that any increase in accuracy over the training data set actually yields an increase in accuracy over a data set that has not been shown to the network before, or at least the network hasn't trained on it (i.e. validation data set). If the accuracy over the training data set increases, but the accuracy over the validation data set stays the same or decreases, then you're overfitting your neural network and you should stop training.

This is old question but my case shows that my case wasn't discussed here.

I like the most the answer of Simon_Weaver (https://stackoverflow.com/a/54411397/2903893). He explains in details how to get user name using IPrincipal and IIdentity. This answer is absolutely correct and I recommend to use this approach. However, during debugging I encountered with the problem when ASP.NET can NOT populate service principle properly. (or in other words, IPrincipal.Identity.Name is null)

It's obvious that to get user name MVC framework should take it from somewhere. In the .NET world, ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core is using Open ID Connect middleware. In the simple scenario web apps authenticate a user in a web browser. In this scenario, the web application directs the user’s browser to sign them in to Azure AD. Azure AD returns a sign-in response through the user’s browser, which contains claims about the user in a security token. To make it work in the code for your application, you'll need to provide the authority to which you web app delegates sign-in. When you deploy your web app to Azure Service the common scenario to meet this requirements is to configure web app: "App Services" -> YourApp -> "Authentication / Authorization" blade -> "App Service Authenticatio" = "On" and so on (https://github.com/Huachao/azure-content/blob/master/articles/app-service-api/app-service-api-authentication.md). I beliebe (this is my educated guess) that under the hood of this process the wizard adjusts "parent" web config of this web app by adding the same settings that I show in following paragraphs. Basically, the issue why this approach does NOT work in ASP.NET Core is because "parent" machine config is ignored by webconfig. (this is not 100% sure, I just give the best explanation that I have). So, to meke it work you need to setup this manually in your app.

I will give a windows solution which I was facing and took a while to solve.

First of all, in windows (I will be taking Windows as the OS here), if you do pip install <package_name>, it will be by default installed globally (if you have not activated a virtual enviroment). Once you activate a virtual enviroment and you are inside it, all pip installations will be inside that virtual enviroment.


pip is installing the said packages but not I cannot use them?

For this pip might be giving you a warning that the pip executables like pip3.exe, pip.exe are not on your path variable. For this you might add this path ( usually - C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Roaming\Programs\Python\ ) to your enviromental variables. After this restart your cmd, and now try to use your installed python package. It should work now.

Visual Studio displaying errors even if projects build

I had a problem like this where Intellisense didn't seem to recognise the existence of one project (lots of "can't find this type", "this namespace doesn't exist", etc. errors).

Removing and re-adding the project reference in all the referencing projects would fix the issue, but the underlying cause could be fixed by editing the .proj file of the problem project.

Near the top of the "missing" project' .csproj file is an element:

<ProjectGuid>{GUID}</ProjectGuid>

and in all of the referencing projects .csproj files were project references:

You can keep your work stashed away, without commiting it, with git stash. You would than use git stash pop to get it back. Or you can (as carleeto said) git commit it to a separate branch.

Checkout by date using rev-parse

You can checkout a commit by a specific date using rev-parse like this:

As noted in the comments this method uses the reflog to find the commit in your history. By default these entries expire after 90 days. Although the syntax for using the reflog is less verbose you can only go back 90 days.

Checkout out by date using rev-list

The other option, which doesn't use the reflog, is to use rev-list to get the commit at a particular point in time with:

git checkout `git rev-list -n 1 --first-parent --before="2009-07-27 13:37" master`

Note the --first-parent if you want only your history and not versions brought in by a merge. That's what you usually want.

Since this question is still asked over and over again one year later I will post my answer here as well.

The clue (on Windows only) is to arrange the entries in the path variable right.

As the NPM wiki tells us:

Because the installer puts C:\Program Files (x86)\nodejs before C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\npm on your PATH, it will always use version of npm installed with node instead of the version of npm you installed using npm -g install npm@<version>.

So your path variable will look something like:

…;C:\<path-to-node-installation>;%appdata%\npm;…

Now you have two possibilities:

  1. Swap the two entries so it will look like
…;%appdata%\npm;C:\<path-to-node-installation>;…

This will load the npm version installed with npm (and not with node) and with the installed Angular CLI version.

  1. If you (for whatever reason) like to use the npm version bundled with node, add the direct path to your global Angualr CLI version. After this your path variable should look like this: …;C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules\@angular\cli;C:\<path-to-node-installation>;%appdata%\npm;… or …;%appdata%\npm\node_modules\@angular\cli;C:\<path-to-node-installation>;%appdata%\npm;… for the short form.

This worked for me since a while now.

You can't do it using environment variables directly. You need to use the set of "non standard" options that are passed to the java command. Run: java -X for details. The options you're looking for are -Xmx and -Xms (this is "initial" heap size, so probably what you're looking for.)

Some products like Ant or Tomcat might come with a batch script that looks for the JAVA_OPTS environment variable, but it's not part of the Java runtime. If you are using one of those products, you may be able to set the variable like:

The ratio is less than one on my machine, running the latest version of MSVS 2019, .NET 4.6.1
