As mentioned, the error message shows you the exact problem: you are passing 25 characters into a field set up to hold 20. You might also want to consider defining the columns a little more precisely. You can define whether the VARCHAR2 column will store a certain number of bytes or characters. You may encounter a problem in the future where you try to insert a multi byte character into the field, for example this is 5 characters in length but it won't fit into 5 bytes: 'ÀÈÌÕÛ'

Here is an example:

Besides all of the other suggestions, there is one other thing you need to consider. Is your helloworld.jar a console program? If it is, then I don't believe you'll be able to make it into a double-clickable jar file. Console programs use the regular cmd.exe shell window for their input and output. Usually the jar "launcher" is bound to javaw.exe which doesn't create a command-shell window.

$truthiness above has the value true. Why? = has a higher precedence than and. The addition of parentheses to show the implicit order makes this clearer:

A data warehouse is a TYPE of database.

In addition to what folks have already said, data warehouses tend to be OLAP, with indexes, etc. tuned for reading, not writing, and the data is de-normalized / transformed into forms that are easier to read & analyze.

Some folks have said "databases" are the same as OLTP -- this isn't true. OLTP, again, is a TYPE of database.

Other types of "databases": Text files, XML, Excel, CSV..., Flat Files :-)

To clear out all the parameters, without doing a page refresh, AND if you are using HTML5, then you can do this:

Old question, but an easy way is to:

• Iterate through file, adding each line to an new array list
• iterate through the array, find matching String, then call the remove method.
• iterate through array again, printing each line to the file, boolean for append should be false, which basically replaces the file

I ran into this error also. For whatever reason I had originally coded

The obvious reason that people wanted assertNotEquals() was to compare builtins without having to convert them to full blown objects first:

There is a lot of confusion here, especially if you read outdated sources.

The basic one is Activity, which can show Fragments. You can use this combination if you're on Android version > 4.

However, there is also a support library which encompasses the other classes you mentioned: FragmentActivity, ActionBarActivity and AppCompat. Originally they were used to support fragments on Android versions < 4, but actually they're also used to backport functionality from newer versions of Android (material design for example).

The latest one is AppCompat, the other 2 are older. The strategy I use is to always use AppCompat, so that the app will be ready in case of backports from future versions of Android.

You can replace the "#" characters with whatever character you would like to pad with, repeated the amount of times that you want the total width of the string to be. E.g. if you want to add zeros to the left so that the whole string is 15 characters long:

The benefit of this over khachik's answer is that this does not use Integer.parseInt, which can throw an Exception (for example, if the number you want to pad is too large like 12147483647). The disadvantage is that if what you're padding is already an int, then you'll have to convert it to a String and back, which is undesirable.

So, if you know for sure that it's an int, khachik's answer works great. If not, then this is a possible strategy.

You can access your array keys like so:

This brings you two advantages:

1. You can iterate longer lists without getting a MemoryError.

If you only override equals() and not hashCode() your class violates this contract.

The mistake that you are making is that you seem to be using a dataset object for storing your data. Each time you use the following code to put data into your dataset you add data to the data already in your dataset.

myDataAdapter.Fill(myDataSet)

If you assign the table in your dataset to a DataGridView object in your program by the following code you will get duplicate results because you have not cleared data which is already residing in your dataset and in your dataset table.

As it has been pointed out, it depends on the type. For built-in data types, it is best to pass by value. Even some very small structures, such as a pair of ints can perform better by passing by value.

Here is an example, assume you have an integer value and you want pass it to another routine. If that value has been optimized to be stored in a register, then if you want to pass it be reference, it first must be stored in memory and then a pointer to that memory placed on the stack to perform the call. If it was being passed by value, all that is required is the register pushed onto the stack. (The details are a bit more complicated than that given different calling systems and CPUs).

If you are doing template programming, you are usually forced to always pass by const ref since you don't know the types being passed in. Passing penalties for passing something bad by value are much worse than the penalties of passing a built-in type by const ref.

First make sure your image is RGB (not indexed color) then use the "color to alpha" feature to turn the clubs/diamonds clear, then fill or set the background or whatever to get the color you want.

This, combined with the lack of real closures, is my biggest gripe for Java. Honestly, most of the methods mentioned above are pretty easy to read and REALLY efficient; however, after spending time with .Net, Erlang, etc... list comprehension integrated at the language level makes everything so much cleaner. Without additions at the language level, Java just cant be as clean as many other languages in this area.

If performance is a huge concern, Google collections is the way to go (or write your own simple predicate utility). Lambdaj syntax is more readable for some people, but it is not quite as efficient.

And then there is a library I wrote. I will ignore any questions in regard to its efficiency (yea, its that bad)...... Yes, i know its clearly reflection based, and no I don't actually use it, but it does work:

You can also wrap your text in label fields, so your form will be more self-explainable semantically.

Just remember to float labels and inputs to the left and to add a specific width to them, and the containing form. Then you can add margins to both of them, to adjust the spacing between the lines (you understand, of course, that this is a pretty minimal markup that expects content to be as big as to some limit).

You get that error because you don't have the public key of the person who signed the message.

Session.Abandon() destroys the session and the Session_OnEnd event is triggered.

Session.Clear() just removes all values (content) from the Object. The session with the same key is still alive.

Your error indicates that the operation is being cancelled for some reason. I'd need more details to understand why. But I think the bigger issue may be that since your endpoint https://host.com/a/path is bogus, there is no real server response to report, and hence you're seeing nil.

If you hit up a valid endpoint that serves up a proper response, you should see a non-nil value for res (using the techniques Sam mentions) in the form of a NSURLHTTPResponse object with properties like statusCode, etc.

Also, just to be clear, error is of type NSError. It tells you why the network request failed. The status code of the failure on the server side is actually a part of the response.

Adding lots of load balancers creates extra overhead and latency and that is the drawback for scaling out horizontally in nosql databases. It is like the question why people say RPC is not recommended since it is not robust.

I think in a real system we should use both sql and nosql databases to utilize both multicore and cloud computing capabilities of today's systems.

On the other hand, complex transactional queries has high performance if sql databases such as oracle being used. NoSql could be used for bigdata and horizontal scalability by sharding.

As explained in other answers, to use this ParameterizedType approach, you need to extend the class, but that seems like extra work to make a whole new class that extends it...

So, making the class abstract it forces you to extend it, thus satisfying the subclassing requirement. (using lombok's @Getter).

Before using chunksize option if you want to be sure about the process function that you want to write inside the chunking for-loop as mentioned by @unutbu you can simply use nrows option.

Once you are sure that the process block is ready, you can put that in the chunking for loop for the entire dataframe.

I think the reason it doesn't work has something to do with the fact that you have the right position set, but not the left.

EDIT:

Appears as though Firefox behaves as expected because its calculated left position is available as the correct value in pixels, whereas Webkit based browsers, and apparently IE, return a value of auto for the left position.

Because auto is not a starting position for an animation, the animation effectively runs from 0 to 0. Not very interesting to watch. :o)

Setting the left position manually before the animate as above fixes the issue.

If you don't like cluttering the landscape with variables, here's a nice version of the same thing that obviates the need for a variable:

I ran into this problem today. Due to the timeframe and some other issues, getting the key from the provider was not possible.

I found the following solution here (under pixelloa's comment) and thought it would be good to have the answer on Stack Overflow as well.

If the certificate does not have a private key, you can fix this by doing the following:

To fix this, use the MMC snapin to import the cert into PERSONAL store of the computer account, click it and grab the serial # line. Go to dos, run certutil -repairstore my "paste the serial # in here" (you need the quotes unless you remove the spaces from the serial number) then refresh MMC with personal certs, right click it - export - select everything except DELETE PRIVATE KEY, hit ok. Then go to IIS and IMPORT cert instead of finish request.

For what it's worth, all I actually had to do was run the certutil -repairstore command, and my certificate worked. I did run the export and set a password for the export itself, but I did not have to reimport the certificate. The certificate now shows up in IIS's list of certificates and can be used for HTTPS bindings.

Basically, in this case of checking if a key exists in an array, isset

• tells if the expression (array) is defined, and the key is set
• no warning or error if the var is not defined, not an array ...
• but returns false if the value for that key is null

and array_key_exists

• tells if a key exists in an array as the name implies
• but gives a warning if the array parameter is not an array

So how do we check if a key exists which value may be null in a variable

• that may or may not be an array
• (or similarly is a multidimensional array for which the key check happens at dim 2 and dim 1 value may not be an array for the 1^st dim (etc...))

without getting a warning, without missing the existing key when its value is null (what were the PHP devs thinking would also be an interesting question, but certainly not relevant on SO). And of course we don't want to use @

isset($var[$key]);            // silent but misses null values
array_key_exists($key, $var); // works but warning if $var not defined/array

It seems is_array should be involved in the equation, but it gives a warning if $var is not defined, so that could be a solution:

which is likely to be faster if the tests are mainly on non-null values. Otherwise for an array with mostly null values

Let's think a little different, You can use static parameters:

With Visual Studio 2015 I found the problem was caused by referencing the .min version of a javascript file in the BundleConfig when debug=true is set in the web.config.

For example, with jquery specifying the following in BundleConfig:

bundles.Add(new ScriptBundle("~/bundles/jquery").Include("~/Scripts/jquery-{version}.min.js"));

resulted in the jquery not loading correctly at all when debug=true was set in the web.config.

Referencing the un-minified version:

corrects the problem.

Setting debug=false also corrects the problem, but of course that is not exactly helpful.

It is also worth noting that while some minified javascript files loaded correctly and others did not. I ended up removing all minified javascript files in favor of VS handling minification for me.

You don't need ROOT permissions to get the list of Installed Apps.

You can do it with android PackageManager.

While the error message suggests that all() or any() can be used, they are useful only when you want to reduce the result into a single Boolean value. That is however not what you are trying to do now, which is to test the membership of every values in the Series against the external list, and keep the results intact (i.e., a Boolean Series which will then be used to slice the original DataFrame).

You can split and join the string, but why not use substrings? Then you only end up with one split instead of splitting the string into 5 parts and re-joining it. The end result is the same, but the substring is probably a bit faster.

The problem with your code is in your loop in Check_Circular. You are advancing through the list using n1 by going one node at a time. By reassigning n2 to n2.next.next you are advancing through it two at a time.

When you do that, n2.next.next may be null, so n2 will be null after the assignment. When the loop repeats and it checks if n2.next is not null, it throws the NPE because it can't get to next since n2 is already null.

You want to do something like what Alex posted instead.

The advantage over e.g. len() is, that the QuerySet is not yet evaluated:

count() performs a SELECT COUNT(*) behind the scenes, so you should always use count() rather than loading all of the record into Python objects and calling len() on the result.

Having this in mind, When QuerySets are evaluated can be worth reading.

If you use get(), e.g. scorm.objects.get(pk=someid), and the object does not exists, an ObjectDoesNotExist exception is raised:

The proper way to fully uninstall conda (Anaconda / Miniconda):

1. Remove all conda-related files and directories using the Anaconda-Clean package

2. Remove your entire conda directory

What it is telling you is - the 2nd guard let or the if let check is not happening on an Optional Int or Optional String. You already have a non-optional value, so guarding or if-letting is not needed anymore

I had to go another route for an assignment but this is what I ended up with.

I had a user control which sat on page in a free form way, not constrained by another container, and the contents within the user control would not auto size but expand to the full size of what the user control was handed.

To get the user control to simply size to its content, for height only, I placed it into a grid with on row set to auto size such as this:

I faced a similar kind of issue while using a custom object as a key in Treemap. Whenever you are using a custom object as a key in hashmap then you override two function equals and hashcode, However if you are using ContainsKey method of Treemap on this object then you need to override CompareTo method as well otherwise you will be getting this error Someone using a custom object as a key in hashmap in kotlin should do like following

You can convert the datetime to a date then back to a datetime. This will reset the timestamp.

There are a few packages for prettifying HTML. You can find them by searching the Atom package archive:

Since hashes aren't inherently ordered, there isn't a notion of appending. Ruby hashes since 1.9 maintain insertion order, however. Here are the ways to add new key/value pairs.

The simplest solution is

h[:key] = "bar"

If you want a method, use store:

h.store(:key, "bar")

If you really, really want to use a "shovel" operator (<<), it is actually appending to the value of the hash as an array, and you must specify the key:

h[:key] << "bar"

The above only works when the key exists. To append a new key, you have to initialize the hash with a default value, which you can do like this:

h = Hash.new {|h, k| h[k] = ''}
h[:key] << "bar"

You may be tempted to monkey patch Hash to include a shovel operator that works in the way you've written:

However, this doesn't inherit the "syntactic sugar" applied to the shovel operator in other contexts:

I just encountered a similar issue and I found that it is a permission problem. When I copy the database "data", I have to add the permission for "NETWORK SERVICE"

You might want to try this example for version 2.6 of Python.

I ran into similar situation where I had to merge Date and Time fields to DateTime field. None of the above mentioned solution work, specially adding two fields as the data type for addition of these 2 fields is not same.

I created below solution, where I added hour and then minute part to the date. This worked beautifully for me. Please check it out and do let me know if you get into any issues.

Call JObject's ToString(Formatting.None) method.

Alternatively if you pass the object to the JsonConvert.SerializeObject method it will return the JSON without formatting.

If you are using Notepad++ editor Goto ctrl + F choose tab 3 find in files and enter:

1. Find What = text1*.*text2
2. Filters : .
3. Search mode = Regular Expression
4. Directory = enter the path of the directory you want to search in. You can check Follow current doc. to have the path of the current file to be filled.

You need to precede the lines starting with gcc and rm with a hard tab. Commands in make rules are required to start with a tab (unless they follow a semicolon on the same line). The result should look like this:

I use the InvokeOnClick() method. It takes two arguments: Control and EventArgs. How about using the wsdl /server or wsdl /serverinterface switches? As far as I understand the wsdl.exe command line properties, that's what you're looking for.

Generate an abstract class for an xml web service implementation using
ASP.NET based on the contracts. The default is to generate client proxy
classes.

On the other hand: why do you want to create obsolete technology solutions? Why not create this web service as a WCF service. That's the current and more modern, much more flexible way to do this!

When I use wsdl /server on a WSDL file, I get this file created:

This is basically almost exactly the same code that gets generated when you add an ASMX file to your solution (in the code behind file - "yourservice.asmx.cs"). I don't think you can get any closer to creating an ASMX file from a WSDL file.

You can always add the "yourservice.asmx" manually - it doesn't really contain much:
