Additionally, you cannot use "null" as a value in a conditional assignment. e.g...

bool testvalue = false;
int? myint = (testvalue == true) ? 1234 : null;

FAILS with: Type of conditional expression cannot be determined because there is no implicit conversion between 'int' and '<null>'.

So, you have to cast the null as well... This works:

int? myint = (testvalue == true) ? 1234 : (int?)null;

In Java, null only applies to object references; since boolean is a primitive type, it cannot be assigned null.

It's hard to get context from your example, but I'm guessing that if hideInNav is not in the object returned by getProperties(), the (default value?) you've indicated will be false. I suspect this is the bug that you're seeing, as false is not equal to null, so hideNavigation is getting the empty string?

You might get some better answers with a bit more context to your code sample.

When checking whether a reference (or nullable value type) variable is null, do not use = Nothing or <> Nothing. Always use Is Nothing or IsNot Nothing.

It will assign value of v1 to v2 if it is not null, else it will take a default value as zero.

v2=v1??0

Or below is the other way to write it.

v2 = v1.HasValue?v1:0

Something like:

There's no need to specify the type when you're just changing the nullability.

What I do in my projects is to activate the following option in the "Constant conditions & exceptions" code inspection:
Suggest @Nullable annotation for methods that may possibly return null and report nullable values passed to non-annotated parameters

When activated, all non-annotated parameters will be treated as non-null and thus you will also see a warning on your indirect call:

clazz.indirectPathToA(null); 

For even stronger checks the Checker Framework may be a good choice (see this nice tutorial.
Note: I have not used that yet and there may be problems with the Jack compiler: see this bugreport

You are making it complicated. string is already nullable. You don't need to make it more nullable. Take out the ? on the property type.

In VB.Net. Do NOT use "IsNot Nothing" when you can use ".HasValue". I just solved an "Operation could destabilize the runtime" Medium trust error by replacing "IsNot Nothing" with ".HasValue" In one spot. I don't really understand why, but something is happening differently in the compiler. I would assume that "!= null" in C# may have the same issue.

Radio buttons are useful, but they don't allow you to deselect. If you want this behaviour, then consider using a drop-down/select. The following code will generate the SelectList and this binds successfully to a nullable boolean:

If this is C#, it won't work: enums are value types, and can't be null.

The normal options are to add a None member:

The ? symbol is usually used in situations whereby the variable can accept a null or an integer or alternatively, return an integer or null.

No. Because it's non-nullable. If you want it to be nullable, you have to use Nullable<Guid> - if you didn't, there'd be no point in having Nullable<T> to start with. You've got a fundamental issue here - which you actually know, given your first paragraph. You've said, "I know if I want to achieve A, I must do B - but I want to achieve A without doing B." That's impossible by definition.

The closest you can get is to use one specific GUID to stand in for a null value - Guid.Empty (also available as default(Guid) where appropriate, e.g. for the default value of an optional parameter) being the obvious candidate, but one you've rejected for unspecified reasons.

string is a reference type, a class. You can only use Nullable<T> or the T? C# syntactic sugar with non-nullable value types such as int and Guid.

In particular, as string is a reference type, an expression of type string can already be null:

string lookMaNoText = null;

In Ef .net core there are two options that you can do; first with data annotations:

Abstract

This PEP proposes to introduce a syntax to declare the encoding of a Python source file. The encoding information is then used by the Python parser to interpret the file using the given encoding. Most notably this enhances the interpretation of Unicode literals in the source code and makes it possible to write Unicode literals using e.g. UTF-8 directly in an Unicode aware editor.

Problem

In Python 2.1, Unicode literals can only be written using the Latin-1 based encoding "unicode-escape". This makes the programming environment rather unfriendly to Python users who live and work in non-Latin-1 locales such as many of the Asian countries. Programmers can write their 8-bit strings using the favorite encoding, but are bound to the "unicode-escape" encoding for Unicode literals.

Proposed Solution

I propose to make the Python source code encoding both visible and changeable on a per-source file basis by using a special comment at the top of the file to declare the encoding.

To make Python aware of this encoding declaration a number of concept changes are necessary with respect to the handling of Python source code data.

Defining the Encoding

Python will default to ASCII as standard encoding if no other encoding hints are given.

To define a source code encoding, a magic comment must be placed into the source files either as first or second line in the file, such as:

      # coding=<encoding name>

or (using formats recognized by popular editors)

A subclass is something that extends the functionality of your existing class. I.e.

Superclass - describes the catagory of objects:

Subclass1 - describes attributes of the individual Fruit objects:

Subclass2 - describes attributes of the individual Fruit objects:

The 'abstract' keyword in the superclass means that the class will only define the mandatory information that each subclass must have i.e. A piece of fruit must have a color so it is defines in the super class and all subclasses must 'inherit' that attribute and define the value that describes the specific object.

New to Flutter. I'm using VS build-in terminal to do flutter run, to run the app in iPhone. It gives me error Error when reading 'lib/student_model.dart': No such file..., which is an old code version in my code. I have changed it to lib/model/student_model.dart.

And I search this line 'lib/student_model.dart'in the project, it appears filekernel_snapshot.d` containing it. So, it build the project with old code version.

This is a stab in the dark, but maybe do you need to wrap your JSON arguments; like say something like this:

You need to set figure properties.

At the very beginning of the script, call

Calling figure is a good thing, anyway, because without it, you always plot into the same window, and sometimes you may want to compare two windows side-by-side.

Alternatively, you can store the figure's handle by calling

so that you can later change the figure properties to your liking (the 'numberTitle' property setting eliminates the "figure X" text)

Check the sql log in the LOG directory of your instance - see if anything is going on there. You'll need to stop the service to open the log - or restart and you can read the old one - named with .1 on the end.

With the error you're getting, you need to enable TCP/IP or Named pipes for named connections. Shared memory connection should work, but you seem to not be using that. Are you trying to connect through SSMS?

Maven

The Answer by Bhesh Gurung is correct… unless your NetBeans project is Maven based.

Dependency

Under Maven, you add a "dependency". A dependency is a description of a library (its name & version number) you want to use from your code.

Or a dependency could be a description of a library which another library needs ("depends on"). Maven automatically handles this chain, libraries that need other libraries that then need other libraries and so on. For the mathematical-minded, perhaps the phrase "Maven resolves the transitive dependencies" makes sense.

Repository

Maven gets this related-ness information, and the libraries themselves from a Maven repository. A repository is basically an online database and collection of download files (the dependency library).

Adding a dependency to a Maven-based project is really quite easy. That is the whole point to Maven, to make managing dependent libraries easy and to make building them into your project easy. If you are really about to work on multi-gigabyte text files then do not use PowerShell. Even if you find a way to read it faster processing of huge amount of lines will be slow in PowerShell anyway and you cannot avoid this. Update: First, regarding your error when running exec:java, your main class is tr.edu.hacettepe.cs.b21127113.bil138_4.App. When talking about class names, they're (almost) always dot-separated. The simple class name is just the last part: App in your case. The fully-qualified name is the full package plus the simple class name, and that's what you give to maven or java when you want to run something. What you were trying to use was a file system path to a source file. That's an entirely different beast. A class name generally translates directly to a class file that's found in the class path, as compared to a source file in the file system. In your specific case, the class file in question would probably be at target/classes/tr/edu/hacettepe/cs/b21127113/bil138_4/App.class because maven compiles to target/classes, and java traditionally creates a directory for each level of packaging.

Your original problem is simply that you haven't put the Jackson jars on your class path. When you run a java program from the command line, you have to set the class path to let it know where it can load classes from. You've added your own jar, but not the other required ones. Your comment makes me think you don't understand how to manually build a class path. In short, the class path can have two things: directories containing class files and jars containing class files. Directories containing jars won't work. For more details on building a class path, see "Setting the class path" and the java and javac tool documentation.

I apologize for not noticing it sooner. The problem was sitting there in your original post, but I missed it.

Because unreachable code is meaningless to the compiler. Whilst making code meaningful to people is both paramount and harder than making it meaningful to a compiler, the compiler is the essential consumer of code. The designers of Java take the viewpoint that code that is not meaningful to the compiler is an error. Their stance is that if you have some unreachable code, you have made a mistake that needs to be fixed.

There is a similar question here: Unreachable code: error or warning?, in which the author says "Personally I strongly feel it should be an error: if the programmer writes a piece of code, it should always be with the intention of actually running it in some scenario." Obviously the language designers of Java agree.

Whether unreachable code should prevent compilation is a question on which there will never be consensus. But this is why the Java designers did it.

A number of people in comments point out that there are many classes of unreachable code Java doesn't prevent compiling. If I understand the consequences of Gödel correctly, no compiler can possibly catch all classes of unreachable code.

Unit tests cannot catch every single bug. We don't use this as an argument against their value. Likewise a compiler can't catch all problematic code, but it is still valuable for it to prevent compilation of bad code when it can.

The Java language designers consider unreachable code an error. So preventing it compiling when possible is reasonable.

(Before you downvote: the question is not whether or not Java should have an unreachable statement compiler error. The question is why Java has an unreachable statement compiler error. Don't downvote me just because you think Java made the wrong design decision.)

For z-index to work, you also need to give it a position:

I know this is a little old, but I had just run into the same issue and was looking for an answer. Then I had a senior developer show me a very simple trick.

If you are using the management studio query editor, expand the database, then expand the table that you are selecting from so that you can see the columns folder.

In your select statement, just highlight the referenced columns folder above and drag and drop it into the query window. It will paste all of the columns of the table, then just simply remove the identity column from the list of columns...

If it's possible to sort your items then there is a much faster way to do this then doing key lookups into a hashtable or b-tree. Though if you're items aren't sortable you can't really put them into a b-tree anyway.

Anyway, if sortable sort both lists then it's just a matter of walking the lookup list in order.

With properties CI_Router::$directory, CI_Router::$class and CI_Router::$method being public and their respective fetch_*() no longer doing anything else to just return the properties - it doesn’t make sense to keep them.

Those are all internal, undocumented methods, but we’ve opted to deprecate them for now in order to maintain backwards-compatibility just in case. If some of you have utilized them, then you can now just access the properties instead:

One situation where % may help is when you are formatting regex expressions. For example,

'{type_names} [a-z]{2}'.format(type_names='triangle|square')

raises IndexError. In this situation, you can use:

After trying most of the solutions here, the easiest thing I found was the obvious - using a temp file. I'm not sure what you want to do with your multiple line output, but you can then deal with it line by line using read. About the only thing you can't really do is easily stick it all in the same variable, but for most practical purposes this is way easier to deal with.

EDIT: While this case works perfectly well, people reading this should be aware that you can easily squash your stdin inside the while loop, thus giving you a script that will run one line, clear stdin, and exit. One more time! This time with a different filehandle (stdin, stdout, stderr are 0-2, so we can use &3 or higher in bash).

you can also use mktemp, but this is just a quick code example. Usage for mktemp looks like:

Then use $filenamevar like you would the actual name of a file. Probably doesn't need to be explained here but someone complained in the comments.

I used a ternary in this case to keep track of the index backwards:

• Doom Emacs breaks the vanilla Emacs redo shortcut: C-g C-/ C-/ C-/ etc (or C-g C-_ C-_ C-_ etc) ...and instead that just keeps undoing.
• Doom Emacs also breaks the undo-tree redo shortcut mentioned in one of the other answers as being useful for spacemacs etc: S-C-/ (AKA C-?) ...and instead that throws the error "C-? is not defined".

What you need is:

• to be in evil-mode (C-z to toggle in and out of evil-mode) (in evil-mode should see blue cursor, not orange cursor) and
• to be in 'command mode' AKA 'normal mode' (as opposed to 'insert mode') (Esc to switch to command mode) (should see block cursor, not line cursor), and then it's
• u for undo and
• C-r for redo

You could avoid changing the code (although I recommend Boris' answer) and mock the constructor, like in this example for mocking the creation of a File object inside a method. Don't forget to put the class that will create the file in the @PrepareForTest.

One of the benefit of using the resource file is accessing the resources by names, so the image can change, the image name can change, as long as the resource is kept up to date correct image will show up.

Here is a cleaner approach to accomplish this: Assuming Resources.resx is in 'UI.Images' namespace, add the namespace reference in your xaml like this:

It might mean the application is already installed for another user on your device. Users share applications. I don't know why they do but they do. So if one user updates an application is updated for the other user also. If you uninstall on one, it doesn't remove the app from the system on the other.

For future Googlers i've a different approach to check if it's last element. It's similar to last lines in OP question.

From the docs:

When calling a function, the word "this" is a reference to the object that called the function.

You can always just export the HTML table to an XLS document. Excel does a pretty good job understanding HTML tables.

Another possiblitly is to export the HTML tables as a CSV or TSV file, but you would need to setup the formatting in your code. This isn't too difficult to accomplish.

There's some classes in the Microsoft.Office.Interop that allow you to create an Excel file programatically, but I have always found them to be a little clumsy. You can find a .NET version of creating a spreadsheet here, which should be pretty easy to modify for classic ASP.

As for .NET, I've always liked CarlosAG's Excel XML Writer Library. It has a nice generator so you can setup your Excel file, save it as an XML spreadsheet and it generates the code to do all the formatting and everything. I know it's not classic ASP, but I thought that I would throw it out there.

With what you're trying above, try adding the header:

See if that works. Also, I always use this for the content type:

To create a read-only database user account for MySQL

At a UNIX prompt, run the MySQL command-line program, and log in as an administrator by typing the following command:

Mssql Authentication is highly preferable where possible. It allows you to conform with an existing windows domain already used at your workplace, and you don't have to know your user's passwords.

However, It seems that it would not be possible for use in the occasion that the server's machine does not authenticate to your local workplace's intranet.

If you use sql authentication, security will be entirely up to you.

If you use microsoft authentication, security is essentially taken care of for you, but you'll be dealing with additional restrictions.

Most answers get you the current path and are context sensitive. In order to run your script from any directory, use the below snippet.

Evaluating "1,2,3" results in (1, 2, 3), a tuple. As you've discovered, tuples are immutable. Convert to a list before processing.

Ideally, find a JSON library in your language that you can feed some appropriate data structure to, and let it worry about how to escape things. It'll keep you much saner. If for whatever reason you don't have a library in your language, you don't want to use one (I wouldn't suggest this¹), or you're writing a JSON library, read on.

Escape it according to the RFC. JSON is pretty liberal: The only characters you must escape are \, ", and control codes (anything less than U+0020).

This structure of escaping is specific to JSON. You'll need a JSON specific function. All of the escapes can be written as \uXXXX where XXXX is the UTF-16 code unit¹ for that character. There are a few shortcuts, such as \\, which work as well. (And they result in a smaller and clearer output.)

To answer the second part of the question, the plurals would already be in a good word list, but if you wanted to specifically exclude those from the list for some reason, you could indeed write a function to handle it. But English pluralization rules are tricky enough that I'd just include the plurals in the word list to begin with.

As to where to find English word lists, I found several just by Googling "English word list". Here is one: http://www.sil.org/linguistics/wordlists/english/wordlist/wordsEn.txt You could Google for British or American English if you want specifically one of those dialects.

1. Extract the zip file into a folder, e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\ and it will create a jdk-11 folder (where the bin folder is a direct sub-folder). You may need Administrator privileges to extract the zip file to this location.

2. Set a PATH:

   • Select Control Panel and then System.
   • Click Advanced and then Environment Variables.
   • Add the location of the bin folder of the JDK installation to the PATH variable in System Variables.

If you're going to access your local computer (or any computer) using UNC, you'll need to setup a share. If you haven't already setup a share, you could use the default administrative shares. Example:

\\localhost\c$\my_dir

... accesses a folder called "my_dir" via UNC on your C: drive. By default all the hard drives on your machine are shared with hidden shares like c$, d$, etc.

SQLite doesn't define any particular extension for this, it's your own choice. Personally, I name them with the .sqlite extension, just so there isn't any ambiguity when I'm looking at my files later.

Two generic ways to do the same thing... I'm not aware of any specific open solutions to do this, but it'd be rather trivial to do.

You could write a daily or weekly cron/jenkins job to scrape the previous time period's email from the archive looking for your keyworkds/combinations. Sending a batch digest with what it finds, if anything.

But personally, I'd Setup a specific email account to subscribe to the various security lists you're interested in. Add a simple automated script to parse the new emails for various keywords or combinations of keywords, when it finds a match forward that email on to you/your team. Just be sure to keep the keywords list updated with new products you're using.

You could even do this with a gmail account and custom rules, which is what I currently do, but I have setup an internal inbox in the past with a simple python script to forward emails that were of interest.

You could use Role Strategy plugin for that purpose. It works like a charm, just setup some roles and assign them. Even on project-specific level.

Using the Join is the best way to use a multi-value parameter. But what if you want to have an efficient 'Select All'? If there are 100s+ then the query will be very inefficient.

To solve this instead of using a SQL Query as is, change it to using an expression (click the Fx button top right) then build your query something like this (speech marks are necessary):

Ok, so this might not fix your issue but it definitely worked for me.

So you've created your Mysql user I take it? Go to user privileges on PhpMyAdmin and click edit next to the user your using for Symfony. Scroll down to near the bottom and where it says which host you want to use make sure you've selected LocalHost not % Any.

Then in your config file swap 127.0.0.1 for localhost. Hopefully that will work for you. Just worked for me as I was having the same issue.

The accepted answer is not perfect. The line that was printed first will stay there and if your second print does not cover the entire new line, you will end up with garbage text.

By default, MomentJS parses in local time. If only a date string (with no time) is provided, the time defaults to midnight.

In your code, you create a local date and then convert it to the UTC timezone (in fact, it makes the moment instance switch to UTC mode), so when it is formatted, it is shifted (depending on your local time) forward or backwards.

If the local timezone is UTC+N (N being a positive number), and you parse a date-only string, you will get the previous date.

For now, I would ignore feof and similar functions. Exprience shows that it is far too easy to call it at the wrong time and process something twice in the belief that eof hasn't yet been reached.

Pitfall to avoid: using char for the type of c. getchar returns the next character cast to an unsigned char and then to an int. This means that on most [sane] platforms the value of EOF and valid "char" values in c don't overlap so you won't ever accidentally detect EOF for a 'normal' char.

You are making an ajax request which is asynchronous therefore your console log of the list length occurs before the ajax request has completed.

The only way of achieving what you want is changing the ajax call to be synchronous. You can do this by using the .ajax and passing in asynch : false however this is not recommended as it locks the UI up until the call has returned, if it fails to return the user has to crash out of the browser.

Returning the whole object on an update would not seem very relevant, but I can hardly see why returning the whole object when it is created would be a bad practice in a normal use case. This would be useful at least to get the ID easily and to get the timestamps when relevant. This is actually the default behavior got when scaffolding with Rails.

I really do not see any advantage to returning only the ID and doing a GET request after, to get the data you could have got with your initial POST.

Anyway as long as your API is consistent I think that you should choose the pattern that fits your needs the best. There is not any correct way of how to build a REST API, imo.

For me rebase did the trick

Be aware that this will not survive a conversion of the notebook to latex.

As there are some complaints about the deprecation of the proposed solution. They are totally valid and Scott has already answered the question with a more recent, i.e. CSS based approach. Nevertheless, this answer shows some general approach to use html tags within IPython to style markdown cell content beyond the available pure markdown capabilities.

but byte is in rage of -128 to 127 for this reasone, i think is better use rage 0 to 255 and you only need to do this:

Yes, all browsers should not submit the disabled inputs, as they are read-only.

Attribute definitions

disabled [CI] When set for a form control, this Boolean attribute disables the control for user input. When set, the disabled attribute has the following effects on an element:

• Disabled controls do not receive focus.
• Disabled controls are skipped in tabbing navigation.
• Disabled controls cannot be successful.

The following elements support the disabled attribute: BUTTON, INPUT, OPTGROUP, OPTION, SELECT, and TEXTAREA.

This attribute is inherited but local declarations override the inherited value.

How disabled elements are rendered depends on the user agent. For example, some user agents "gray out" disabled menu items, button labels, etc.

In this example, the INPUT element is disabled. Therefore, it cannot receive user input nor will its value be submitted with the form.

Note. The only way to modify dynamically the value of the disabled attribute is through a script.

Indeed, I've seen many people criticize the explicit comparison, and I may even have done so myself before now. I'd say the "short" style is idiomatic.

EDIT:

Note that this doesn't mean that line of code is always incorrect. Consider:

}

That will compile, but without the "== true" it won't, as there's no implicit conversion from bool? to bool.
