If using TextBox2.Text as the source for a numeric value, it must first be checked to see if a value exists, and then converted to integer.

Yes, the biggest difference is that reject is a callback function that gets carried out after the promise is rejected, whereas throw cannot be used asynchronously. If you chose to use reject, your code will continue to run normally in asynchronous fashion whereas throw will prioritize completing the resolver function (this function will run immediately).

An example I've seen that helped clarify the issue for me was that you could set a Timeout function with reject, for example:

In the OP's small example the difference in indistinguishable but when dealing with more complicated asynchronous concept the difference between the two can be drastic.

Generally speaking:

all and any are functions that take some iterable and return True, if

• in the case of all(), no values in the iterable are falsy;
• in the case of any(), at least one value is truthy.

A value x is falsy iff bool(x) == False. A value x is truthy iff bool(x) == True.

Any non-booleans in the iterable will be fine — bool(x) will coerce any x according to these rules: 0, 0.0, None, [], (), [], set(), and other empty collections will yield False, anything else True. The docstring for bool uses the terms 'true'/'false' for 'truthy'/'falsy', and True/False for the concrete boolean values.

You misunderstood a little bit how these functions work. Hence, the following does something completely not what you thought:

In order to resolve this issue make all your data flow tasks in one sequence. It means it should not execute parallel. One data flow task sequence should contain only one data flow task and for this another data flow task as sequence.

However, I suggest making changing the format to what you actually want displayed. This allows you to retain the data type in the cell and easily use cell formulas to manipulate the data.

I have used the struts framework and find it fairly easy to learn. When using the struts framework each page of your site will have the following items.

1) An action which is used is called every time the HTML page is refreshed. The action should populate the data in the form when the page is first loaded and handles interactions between the web UI and the business layer. If you are using the jsp page to modify a mutable java object a copy of the java object should be stored in the form rather than the original so that the original data doesn't get modified unless the user saves the page.

2) The form which is used to transfer data between the action and the jsp page. This object should consist of a set of getter and setters for attributes that need to be accessible to the jsp file. The form also has a method to validate data before it gets persisted.

3) A jsp page which is used to render the final HTML of the page. The jsp page is a hybrid of HTML and special struts tags used to access and manipulate data in the form. Although struts allows users to insert Java code into jsp files you should be very cautious about doing that because it makes your code more difficult to read. Java code inside jsp files is difficult to debug and can not be unit tested. If you find yourself writing more than 4-5 lines of java code inside a jsp file the code should probably be moved to the action.

Don't really know how they compare for speed, but the first one looks like the right idea for scaling to really big JSON data, since it parses only a small chunk at a time so they don't need to hold all the data in memory at once (This can be faster or slower depending on the library/use case)

This need is exactly why createInsecureRfcommSocketToServiceRecord() was added to BluetoothDevice starting in Android 2.3.3 (API Level 10) (SDK Docs)...before that there was no SDK support for this. It was designed to allow Android to connect to devices without user interfaces for entering a PIN code (like an embedded device), but it just as usable for setting up a connection between two devices without user PIN entry.

The corollary method listenUsingInsecureRfcommWithServiceRecord() in BluetoothAdapter is used to accept these types of connections. It's not a security breach because the methods must be used as a pair. You cannot use this to simply attempt to pair with any old Bluetooth device.

You can also do short range communications over NFC, but that hardware is less prominent on Android devices. Definitely pick one, and don't try to create a solution that uses both.

Because you haven't specified what front end (GUI technology) you're using it would be hard to make a specific recommendation. In WPF you could create a listbox and for each new line of chat add a new listboxitem to the end of the collection. This link provides some suggestions as to how you may achieve the same result in a winforms environment.

I hope I am not overstating the obvious, but why not do it directly in the ASP side? Unless you are dynamically altering the SQL based on certain conditions in your program, you should avoid codebehind as much as possible.

You could do the above all in ASP directly without code using the SqlDataSource control and a property in your dropdownlist.

There's filter_var() as well and it's the native function which checks range. It doesn't give exactly what you want (never returns true), but with "cheat" we can change it.

I don't think it's a good code as for readability, but I show it's as a possibility:

If user would write empty value ($userScore = '') it would be correct, as in_array is set here for default, non-strict more and that means that range creates 0 as well, and '' == 0 (non-strict), but '' !== 0 (if you would use strict mode). It's easy to miss such things and that's why I wrote a bit about that. I was learned that strict operators are default, and programmer could use non-strict only in special cases. I think it's a good lesson. Most examples here would fail in some cases because non-strict checking.

Still I like filter_var and you can use above (or below if I'd got so "upped" ;)) functions and make your own callback which you would use as FILTER_CALLBACK filter. You could return bool or even add openRange parameter. And other good point: you can use other functions, e.g. checking range of every number of array or POST/GET values. That's really powerful tool.

It takes three parameters:

Path of a Root Directory, Depth up to which you want to get files and folders and the last one is for showing folders only or both folders and files.

EXAMPLE: EXEC xp_dirtree 'C:\', 2, 1

Think of it as a letter. Sometimes you get a letter, say asking you to fill in a form then return the form in a pre-addressed envelope which is in the original envelope that was housing the form.

Once you have finished filling the form in, you put it in the provided return envelop and send it back.

The callbackUrl is like that return envelope. You are basically saying I am sending you this data. Once you are done with it, I am on this callbackUrl waiting for your response. So the API will process the data you have sent then look at the callback to send you the response.

This is useful because sometimes you may take ages to process some data and it makes no sense to have the caller wait for a response. For example, say your API allows users to send documents to it and virus scan them. Then you send a report after. The scan could take maybe 3minutes. The user cannot be waiting for 3minutes. So you acknowledge that you got the document and let the caller get on with other business while you do the scan then use the callbackUrl when done to tell them the result of the scan.

• have to be carefully inspected for rights/permissions issues

not sure if the last one still applies ... it was one big night mare in a project I worked on some time ago.

There is nothing you can do on your end (client side). You can not enable crossDomain calls yourself, the source (dailymotion.com) needs to have CORS enabled for this to work.

The only thing you can really do is to create a server side proxy script which does this for you. Are you using any server side scripts in your project? PHP, Python, ASP.NET etc? If so, you could create a server side "proxy" script which makes the HTTP call to dailymotion and returns the response. Then you call that script from your Javascript code, since that server side script is on the same domain as your script code, CORS will not be a problem.

Here's a code excerpt we're using in our app to set request headers. You'll note we set the CONTENT_TYPE header only on a POST or PUT, but the general method of adding headers (via a request interceptor) is used for GET as well.

You can get to the root from within each site using $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']. For testing ONLY you can echo out the path to make sure it's working, if you do it the right way. You NEVER want to show the local server paths for things like includes and requires.

To define a global variable which is based off a DOM element a few things must be checked. First, if the code is in the <head> section, then the DOM will not loaded on execution. In this case, an event handler must be placed in order to set the variable after the DOM has been loaded, like this:

shortest/friendliest solution

After becoming frustrated with the too many limitations of cut, I wrote my own replacement, which I called cuts for "cut on steroids".

cuts provides what is likely the most minimalist solution to this and many other related cut/paste problems.

One example, out of many, addressing this particular question:

• auto-detection of most common field-delimiters in files (+ ability to override defaults)

Use a separate project with Resources

I can tell this from out experience, having a current solution with 12 24 projects that includes API, MVC, Project Libraries (Core functionalities), WPF, UWP and Xamarin. It is worth reading this long post as I think it is the best way to do so. With the help of VS tools easily exportable and importable to sent to translation agencies or review by other people.

EDIT 02/2018: Still going strong, converting it to a .NET Standard library makes it possible to even use it across .NET Framework and NET Core. I added an extra section for converting it to JSON so for example angular can use it.

EDIT 2019: Going forward with Xamarin, this still works across all platforms. E.g. Xamarin.Forms advices to use resx files as well. (I did not develop an app in Xamarin.Forms yet, but the documentation, that is way to detailed to just get started, covers it: Xamarin.Forms Documentation). Just like converting it to JSON we can also convert it to a .xml file for Xamarin.Android.

EDIT 2019 (2): While upgrading to UWP from WPF, I encountered that in UWP they prefer to use another filetype .resw, which is is in terms of content identical but the usage is different. I found a different way of doing this which, in my opinion, works better then the default solution.

EDIT 2020: Updated some suggestions for larger (modulair) projects that might require multiple language projects.

So, lets get to it.

Pro's

• Strongly typed almost everywhere.
• In WPF you don't have to deal with ResourceDirectories.
• Supported for ASP.NET, Class Libraries, WPF, Xamarin, .NET Core, .NET Standard as far as I have tested.
• No extra third-party libraries needed.
• Supports culture fallback: en-US -> en.
• Not only back-end, works also in XAML for WPF and Xamarin.Forms, in .cshtml for MVC.
• Easily manipulate the language by changing the Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture
• Search engines can Crawl in different languages and user can send or save language-specific urls.

Con's

• WPF XAML is sometimes buggy, newly added strings don't show up directly. Rebuild is the temp fix (vs2015).
• UWP XAML does not show intellisense suggestions and does not show the text while designing.
• Tell me.

Setup

Create language project in your solution, give it a name like MyProject.Language. Add a folder to it called Resources, and in that folder, create two Resources files (.resx). One called Resources.resx and another called Resources.en.resx (or .en-GB.resx for specific). In my implementation, I have NL (Dutch) language as the default language, so that goes in my first file, and English goes in my second file.

Setup should look like this:

The properties for Resources.resx must be:

Make sure that the custom tool namespace is set to your project namespace. Reason for this is that in WPF, you cannot reference to Resources inside XAML.

And inside the resource file, set the access modifier to Public:

If you have such a large application (let's say different modules) you can consider creating multiple projects like above. In that case you could prefix your Keys and resource classes with the particular Module. Use the best language editor there is for Visual Studio to combine all files into a single overview.

Using in another project

Reference to your project: Right click on References -> Add Reference -> Prjects\Solutions.

Use namespace in a file: using MyProject.Language;

Use it like so in back-end: string someText = Resources.orderGeneralError; If there is something else called Resources, then just put in the entire namespace.

Using in MVC

In MVC you can do however you like to set the language, but I used parameterized url's, which can be setup like so:

Since it is strongly typed you are sure the resource string exists. You might need to recompile the project sometimes during setup, WPF is sometimes buggy with new namespaces.

One more thing for WPF, set the language inside the App.xaml.cs. You can do your own implementation (choose during installation) or let the system decide.

Using in UWP

In UWP, Microsoft uses this solution, meaning you will need to create new resource files. Plus you can not re-use the text either because they want you to set the x:Uid of your control in XAML to a key in your resources. And in your resources you have to do Example.Text to fill a TextBlock's text. I didn't like that solution at all because I want to re-use my resource files. Eventually I came up with the following solution. I just found this out today (2019-09-26) so I might come back with something else if it turns out this doesn't work as desired.

Add this to your project:

The last line is needed to refresh the UI. While I am still working on this project I noticed that I needed to do this 2 times. I might end up with a language selection at the first time the user is starting. But since this will be distributed via Windows Store, the language is usually equal to the system language.

Using it in Angular (convert to JSON)

Now days it is more common to have a framework like Angular in combination with components, so without cshtml. Translations are stored in json files, I am not going to cover how that works, I would just highly recommend ngx-translate instead of the angular multi-translation. So if you want to convert translations to a JSON file, it is pretty easy, I use a T4 template script that converts the Resources file to a json file. I recommend installing T4 editor to read the syntax and use it correctly because you need to do some modifications.

Only 1 thing to note: It is not possible to generate the data, copy it, clean the data and generate it for another language. So you have to copy below code as many times as languages you have and change the entry before '//choose language here'. Currently no time to fix this but probably will update later (if interested).

If you have a modulair application and you followed my suggestion to create multiple language projects, then you will have to create a T4 file for each of them. Make sure the json files are logically defined, it doesn't have to be en.json, it can also be example-en.json. Use in Xamarin.Android

As explained above in the updates, I use the same method as I have done with Angular/JSON. But Android uses XML files, so I wrote a T4 file that generates those XML files.

Android works with values-xx folders, so above is for English for in the values-en folder. But you also have to generate a default which goes into the values folder. Just copy above T4 template and change the folder in the above code.

There you go, you can now use one single resource file for all your projects. This makes it very easy exporting everything to an excl document and let someone translate it and import it again.

In Jake's ViewPageIndicator he has implemented View pager to display a String array (i.e. ["this","is","a","text"]) which you pass from YourAdapter.java (that extends FragmentPagerAdapter) to the YourFragment.java which returns a View to the viewpager.

In order to display something different, you simply have to change the context type your passing. In this case you want to pass images instead of text, as shown in the sample below:

Since it sounds like you already know what format the byte[] array is in (e.g. RGB, ARGB, BGR etc.) you might be able to use BufferedImage.setRGB(...), or a combination of BufferedImage.getRaster() and WritableRaster.setPixels(...) or WritableRaster.setSamples(...). I found many of these answers to be helpful but it wasn't clear how to do this with something that wasn't a button. I was adding a gesture recognizer to a UILabel in swift and struggled so here's what I found worked for me after reading everything above:

2. Find the bot (for instance you can go to Contacts and search for it)
3. Tap to open
4. Tap the bot name on the top bar. Your page becomes like this:

You can accomplish this (if I understand what you are trying to do) using dynamic SQL.

The trick is that you need to create a string containing the SQL statement. That's because the tablename has to specified in the actual SQL text, when you execute the statement. The table references and column references can't be supplied as parameters, those have to appear in the SQL text.

So you can use something like this approach:

First, we create a SQL statement as a string. Given a @KeyValue of 'Foo', that would create a string containing:

At this point, it's just a string. But we can execute the contents of the string, as a dynamic SQL statement, using EXECUTE (or EXEC for short).

The old-school sp_executesql procedure is an alternative to EXEC, another way to execute dymamic SQL, which also allows you to pass parameters, rather than specifying all values as literals in the text of the statement.

FOLLOWUP

EBarr points out (correctly and importantly) that this approach is susceptible to SQL Injection.

Consider what would happen if @KeyValue contained the string:

The string we would produce as a SQL statement would be:

'INSERT INTO @tmpTbl1 SELECT 1 AS foo; DROP TABLE students; -- AS fld1 ...'

When we EXECUTE that string as a SQL statement:

And it's not just a DROP TABLE that could be injected. Any SQL could be injected, and it might be much more subtle and even more nefarious. (The first attacks can be attempts to retreive information about tables and columns, followed by attempts to retrieve data (email addresses, account numbers, etc.)

One way to address this vulnerability is to validate the contents of @KeyValue, say it should contain only alphabetic and numeric characters (e.g. check for any characters not in those ranges using LIKE '%[^A-Za-z0-9]%'. If an illegal character is found, then reject the value, and exit without executing any SQL.

Try this piece of code:

The message means that you have incorrect syntax for using the digit variable. If you're not sending it any message - you don't need any brackets.

The pattern rules for glob are not regular expressions. Instead, they follow standard Unix path expansion rules. There are only a few special characters: two different wild-cards, and character ranges are supported [from pymotw: glob – Filename pattern matching].

So you can exclude some files with patterns.
For example to exclude manifests files (files starting with _) with glob, you can use:

Apparently there is no small simple cheap utility that would help performing this task. There is however 101 way to do it in a complicated and inconvenient manner.

You can invoke private method with reflection. Modifying the last bit of the posted code:

There are a couple of caveats. First, getDeclaredMethod will only find method declared in the current Class, not inherited from supertypes. So, traverse up the concrete class hierarchy if necessary. Second, a SecurityManager can prevent use of the setAccessible method. So, it may need to run as a PrivilegedAction (using AccessController or Subject).

In that code you are inserting two column value. You can try this

To ignore a field, annotate it with @Transient so it will not be mapped by hibernate.

If you have installed both Wampmanager and also Bitnami's wampstack on your Windows box (like I had done), make sure Bitnami has not been set to automatically start its wampstackApache and wampstackMySQL services at startup.

To check/fix this, click: Start-->Run and then type services.msc and click Ok.

Select Services in the list on the left and sort the services on Name. Scroll to the "w's". If wampstackApache and/or wampstackMySQL services are already started, right-click and stop both. You can do this with pure CSS but you will need to hard code the offset scroll amounts, which may not be ideal should you be changing page content- or should dimensions of your content change on say window resize.

I hope that I am understing your question correctly, but you can do this very quickly with Linq. I'm assuming that universally you will always have an Id property. Just create an interface to ensure this.

If how you identify an object to be the same changes from class to class, I would recommend passing in a delegate that returns true if the two objects have the same persistent id.

Use chown to change ownership and chmod to change rights.

use the -R option to apply the rights for all files inside of a directory too.

Note that both these commands just work for directories too. The -R option makes them also change the permissions for all files and directories inside of the directory.

For example

sudo chown -R username:group directory

will change ownership (both user and group) of all files and directories inside of directory and directory itself.

sudo chown username:group directory

will only change the permission of the folder directory but will leave the files and folders inside the directory alone.

you need to use sudo to change the ownership from root to yourself.

Edit:

Note that if you use chown user: file (Note the left-out group), it will use the default group for that user.

Also You can change the group ownership of a file or directory with the command:

chgrp group_name file/directory_name

You must be a member of the group to which you are changing ownership to.

User 500 is just a normal user. Typically user 500 was the first user on the system, recent changes (to /etc/login.defs) has altered the minimum user id to 1000 in many distributions, so typically 1000 is now the first (non root) user.

What you may be seeing is a system which has been upgraded from the old state to the new state and still has some processes knocking about on uid 500. You can likely change it by first checking if your distro should indeed now use 1000, and if so alter the login.defs file yourself, the renumber the user account in /etc/passwd and chown/chgrp all their files, usually in /home/, then reboot.

But in answer to your question, no, you should not really be worried about this in all likelihood. It'll be showing as "500" instead of a username because o user in /etc/passwd has a uid set of 500, that's all.

Also you can show your current numbers using id i'm willing to bet it comes back as 1000 for you.

You are using collapse on the div inside of your table row (tr). So when you collapse the div, the row is still there. You need to change it to where your id and class are on the tr instead of the div.

Change this:

DOUBLE columns are not the same as DECIMAL columns, and you will get in trouble if you use DOUBLE columns for financial data.

DOUBLE is actually just a double precision (64 bit instead of 32 bit) version of FLOAT. Floating point numbers are approximate representations of real numbers and they are not exact. In fact, simple numbers like 0.01 do not have an exact representation in FLOAT or DOUBLE types.

DECIMAL columns are exact representations, but they take up a lot more space for a much smaller range of possible numbers. To create a column capable of holding values from 0.0001 to 99.9999 like you asked you would need the following statement

The column definition follows the format DECIMAL(M, D) where M is the maximum number of digits (the precision) and D is the number of digits to the right of the decimal point (the scale).

This means that the previous command creates a column that accepts values from -99.9999 to 99.9999. You may also create an UNSIGNED DECIMAL column, ranging from 0.0000 to 99.9999.

Bear in mind that all of this information is true for versions of MySQL 5.0.3 and greater. If you are using previous versions, you really should upgrade.

This is bcrypt:

Generate a random salt. A "cost" factor has been pre-configured. Collect a password.

Derive an encryption key from the password using the salt and cost factor. Use it to encrypt a well-known string. Store the cost, salt, and cipher text. Because these three elements have a known length, it's easy to concatenate them and store them in a single field, yet be able to split them apart later.

When someone tries to authenticate, retrieve the stored cost and salt. Derive a key from the input password, cost and salt. Encrypt the same well-known string. If the generated cipher text matches the stored cipher text, the password is a match.

Bcrypt operates in a very similar manner to more traditional schemes based on algorithms like PBKDF2. The main difference is its use of a derived key to encrypt known plain text; other schemes (reasonably) assume the key derivation function is irreversible, and store the derived key directly.

Stored in the database, a bcrypt "hash" might look something like this:

The reason this is happening is because initializing an array does not initialize each element in that array. You need to first set houses[0] = new GameObject() and then it will work.

I ran into this issue when trying to get to one of my companies intranet sites. Here is the solution I used:

1. enter about:config into the firefox address bar and agree to continue.
2. search for the preference named security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling.
3. double-click this item to change its value to false.

This will lower your security as you will be able to view sites with invalid certs. Firefox will still prompt you that the cert is invalid and you have the choice to proceed forward, so it was worth the risk for me.

First of all I'd like to say that I 100% agree with John Saunders that you must avoid loops in SQL in most cases especially in production.

But occasionally as a one time thing to populate a table with a hundred records for testing purposes IMHO it's just OK to indulge yourself to use a loop.

Found a way to do this, simply add a querystring to load your components, like so:

Using #pragma once should work on any modern compiler, but I don't see any reason not to use a standard #ifndef include guard. It works just fine. The one caveat is that GCC didn't support #pragma once before version 3.4.

I also found that, at least on GCC, it recognizes the standard #ifndef include guard and optimizes it, so it shouldn't be much slower than #pragma once.

Typically one would use one (or more) image tags, maybe in combination with setting div background images in css to act as the submit button. The actual submit would be done in javascript on the click event.

you can use cURL. You can get cURL to only give you the headers, and not the body, which might make it faster. A bad domain could always take a while because you will be waiting for the request to time-out; you could probably change the timeout length using cURL.

I agree with everyone else here: With JS on the client, the cat is out of the bag and there is nothing completely foolproof that can be done.

Having said that; in some cases I do this to put some hurdles in the way of those who want to take a look at the code. This is how the algorithm works (roughly)

1. The server creates 3 hashed and salted values. One for the current timestamp, and the other two for each of the next 2 seconds. These values are sent over to the client via Ajax to the client as a comma delimited string; from my PHP module. In some cases, I think you can hard-bake these values into a script section of HTML when the page is formed, and delete that script tag once the use of the hashes is over The server is CORS protected and does all the usual SERVER_NAME etc check (which is not much of a protection but at least provides some modicum of resistance to script kiddies).

2. Also it would be nice, if the the server checks if there was indeed an authenticated user's client doing this

3. The client then sends the same 3 hashed values back to the server thru an ajax call to fetch the actual JS that I need. The server checks the hashes against the current time stamp there... The three values ensure that the data is being sent within the 3 second window to account for latency between the browser and the server

4. The server needs to be convinced that one of the hashes is matched correctly; and if so it would send over the crucial JS back to the client. This is a simple, crude "One time use Password" without the need for any database at the back end.

5. This means, that any hacker has only the 3 second window period since the generation of the first set of hashes to get to the actual JS code.

6. The entire client code can be inside an IIFE function so some of the variables inside the client are even more harder to read from the Inspector console

   This is not any deep solution: A determined hacker can register, get an account and then ask the server to generate the first three hashes; by doing tricks to go around Ajax and CORS; and then make the client perform the second call to get to the actual code -- but it is a reasonable amount of work.

Moreover, if the Salt used by the server is based on the login credentials; the server may be able to detect who is that user who tried to retreive the sensitive JS (The server needs to do some more additional work regarding the behaviour of the user AFTER the sensitive JS was retreived, and block the person if the person, say for example, did not do some other activity which was expected)

An old, crude version of this was done for a hackathon here: http://planwithin.com/demo/tadr.html That wil not work in case the server detects too much latency, and it goes beyond the 3 second window period

Paul's solution above did what I was hoping it would.

Also, it's useful to add aliases like hobs mentioned, if you put the following in the [alias] section of your ~/.gitconfig file then you can use short-hand to view diff between head and previous.

Then running $ git diff-last will get you your result. Note that this will also include any changes you've not yet committed as well as the diff between commits. If you want to ignore changes you've not yet committed, then you can use diff to compare the HEAD with it's parent directly:

If you wish to copy the data into a separate cv::Mat object you could use a function similar to this:

It would be important to note that this would only function properly on single channel images.

I'm not sure this is so surprising. Most people who code in PHP are not well versed in what PHP is actually doing at the bare metal. I'll state a few things, which will be true most of the time:

1. If you're not modifying the variable, by-value is faster in PHP. This is because it's reference counted anyway and by-value gives it less to do. It knows the second you modify that ZVAL (PHP's internal data structure for most types), it will have to break it off in a straightforward way (copy it and forget about the other ZVAL). But you never modify it, so it doesn't matter. References make that more complicated with more bookkeeping it has to do to know what to do when you modify the variable. So if you're read-only, paradoxically it's better not the point that out with the &. I know, it's counter intuitive, but it's also true.

2. Foreach isn't slow. And for simple iteration, the condition it's testing against — "am I at the end of this array" — is done using native code, not PHP opcodes. Even if it's APC cached opcodes, it's still slower than a bunch of native operations done at the bare metal.

3. Using a for loop "for ($i=0; $i < count($x); $i++) is slow because of the count(), and the lack of PHP's ability (or really any interpreted language) to evaluate at parse time whether anything modifies the array. This prevents it from evaluating the count once.

4. But even once you fix it with "$c=count($x); for ($i=0; $i<$c; $i++) the $i<$c is a bunch of Zend opcodes at best, as is the $i++. In the course of 100000 iterations, this can matter. Foreach knows at the native level what to do. No PHP opcodes needed to test the "am I at the end of this array" condition.

5. What about the old school "while(list(" stuff? Well, using each(), current(), etc. are all going to involve at least 1 function call, which isn't slow, but not free. Yes, those are PHP opcodes again! So while + list + each has its costs as well.

For these reasons foreach is understandably the best option for simple iteration.

And don't forget, it's also the easiest to read, so it's win-win.

There is no difference in working in both the concepts of assignment to unique_ptr.

is similar to

unique_ptr<int> uptr (new int(3));

Here unique_ptr automatically deletes the space occupied by uptr.

how pointers, declared in this way will be different from the pointers declared in a "normal" way.

If you create an integer in heap space (using new keyword or malloc), then you will have to clear that memory on your own (using delete or free respectively).

In the below code,

Here, you will have to delete heapInt, when it is done using. If it is not deleted, then memory leakage occurs.

In order to avoid such memory leaks unique_ptr is used, where unique_ptr automatically deletes the space occupied by heapInt when it goes out of scope. So, you need not do delete or free for unique_ptr.

When using numbers as the key, I suppose you could also try this:

You can use the following:

• literal: 8 (if the encoding you use can encode it — UTF-8 can, for example)
• character reference: ∞ (decimal), ∞ (hexadecimal)

But whether it is displayed correctly does also depend on the font the text is displayed with.

You will get output from column value 9 to 26 as you have mentioned OFFSET as 8

Doing alist = [] does not clear the list, just creates an empty list and binds it to the variable alist. The old list will still exist if it had other variable bindings.

To actually clear a list in-place, you can use any of these ways:

1. alist.clear() # Python 3.3+, most obvious
2. del alist[:]
3. alist[:] = []
4. alist *= 0 # fastest

Building on top of what Finesse wrote, here is a simpler way to target the svg and change it's gradient.

This is what you need to do:

1. Assign classes to each color stop defined in the gradient element.
2. Target the css and change the stop-color for each of those stops using plain classes.
3. Win!

Some benefits of using classes instead of :nth-child is that it'll not be affected if you reorder your stops. Also, it makes the intent of each class clear - you'll be left wondering whether you needed a blue color on the first child or the second one.

I've tested it on all Chrome, Firefox and IE11:

That said, I would encourage you to think about making your own archetype. The reason is, no matter what you end up getting from someone else's, you can do better in not that much time, and a decent sized Java project is going to end up making a lot of jar projects.

I have tested the following regex which gives the same result as Chrome Html email input validation.

I had the same issue, but my setup required a different solution.

I'm using the create-react-app-rewired package with a config-overrides.js file. Previously, I was using the addBabelPresets import (in the override() method) from customize-cra and decided to abstract those presets to a separate file. Coincidentally, this solved my problem.

I added useBabelRc() to the override() method in config-overrides.js and created a babel.config.js file with the following:

If you happened to know the general location of cell towers, you could check to see if the current cell tower matches the location given (within an error margin of something large, like 10 or more miles).

For example, if your app unlocks features only if the user is in a specific location (your store, for example), you could check gps as well as cell towers. Currently, no gps spoofing app also spoofs the cell towers, so you could see if someone across the country is simply trying to spoof their way into your special features (I'm thinking of the Disney Mobile Magic app, for one example).

This is how the Llama app manages location by default, since checking cell tower ids are much less battery intensive than gps. It isn't useful for very specific locations, but if home and work are several miles away, it can distinguish between the two general locations very easily.

Of course, this would require the user to have a cell signal at all. And you would have to know all the cell towers ids in the area --on all network providers-- or you would run the risk of a false negative.

There is a difference between click() and submit().

submit() submits the form and executes the url that is given by the "action" attribute. If you have any javascript-function or jquery-plugin running to submit the form e.g. via ajax, submit() will ignore it. With click() the javascript-functions will be executed.

Include 'use strict'; as the first statement in a wrapping function, so it only affects that function. This prevents problems when concatenating scripts that aren't strict.

The best precision you can possibly get is through the use of the x86-only "rdtsc" instruction, which can provide clock-level resolution (ne must of course take into account the cost of the rdtsc call itself, which can be measured easily on application startup).

The main catch here is measuring the number of clocks per second, which shouldn't be too hard.

There is a built in method which would be the fastest method also, calling tolist on the .values np array:

Cygwin mount now support bind method which lets you mount a directory. Hence you can simply add the following line to /etc/fstab, then restart your shell:

Use ORACLE equivalent of getdate() which is sysdate . Read about here. Getdate() belongs to SQL Server , will not work on Oracle.

Other option is current_date

Why can't it just use AND in the ON clause? For example:

I was a bit puzzled that norm.fit apparently only worked with the expanded list of sampled values. I tried giving it two lists of numbers, or lists of tuples, but it only appeared to flatten everything and threat the input as individual samples. Since I already have a histogram based on millions of samples, I didn't want to expand this if I didn't have to. Thankfully, the normal distribution is trivial to calculate, so...

Grep DOES NOT use "wildcards" for search – that's shell globbing, like *.jpg. Grep uses "regular expressions" for pattern matching. While in the shell '*' means "anything", in grep it means "match the previous item zero or more times".

To answer of your question - you can find files matching some pattern with grep:

Then you can search their content (case insensitive):

If the paths can contain spaces, you should use the "zero end" feature:
