Including C file into another file is legal, but not advisable thing to do, unless you know exactly why are you doing this and what are you trying to achieve.
I'm almost sure that if you will post here the reason that behind your question the community will find you another more appropriate way to achieve you goal (please note the "almost", since it is possible that this is the solution given the context).

By the way i missed the second part of the question. If C file is included to another file and in the same time included to the project you probably will end up with duplicate symbol problem why linking the objects, i.e same function will be defined twice (unless they all static).

This thread already has some great answers, but I feel I can bring a little more detail with this additional answer.

First, remember that a namespace declaration with periods, like:

namespace MyCorp.TheProduct.SomeModule.Utilities

is entirely equivalent to:

            namespace Utilities
            {

            }

If you wanted to, you could put using directives on all of these levels. (Of course, we want to have usings in only one place, but it would be legal according to the language.)

The rule for resolving which type is implied, can be loosely stated like this: First search the inner-most "scope" for a match, if nothing is found there go out one level to the next scope and search there, and so on, until a match is found. If at some level more than one match is found, if one of the types are from the current assembly, pick that one and issue a compiler warning. Otherwise, give up (compile-time error).

Now, let's be explicit about what this means in a concrete example with the two major conventions.

(1) With usings outside:

Concluding remarks

No matter if you put the usings inside or outside the namespace declaration, there's always the possibility that someone later adds a new type with identical name to one of the namespaces which have higher priority.

Also, if a nested namespace has the same name as a type, it can cause problems.

It is always dangerous to move the usings from one location to another because the search hierarchy changes, and another type may be found. Therefore, choose one convention and stick to it, so that you won't have to ever move usings.

Visual Studio's templates, by default, put the usings outside of the namespace (for example if you make VS generate a new class in a new file).

One (tiny) advantage of having usings outside is that you can then utilize the using directives for a global attribute, for example [assembly: ComVisible(false)] instead of [assembly: System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComVisible(false)].

To answer your immutable question:

Collections.singletonList will create an immutable List. An immutable List (also referred to as an unmodifiable List) cannot have it's contents changed. The methods to add or remove items will throw exceptions if you try to alter the contents.

A singleton List contains only that item and cannot be altered.

As already said, l.pop(0) is a O(len(l)) operation and must be avoided, the above msort function is O(n**2). If efficiency matter, indexing is better but have cost too. The for x in l is faster but not easy to implement for mergesort : iter can be used instead here. Finally, checking i < len(l) is made twice because tested again when accessing the element : the exception mechanism (try except) is better and give a last improvement of 30% .

As stated by many here, I am writing the same thing but with an additional point!

At first we need to make sure that our R Studio has these two packages installed:

1. "readxl"
2. "XLConnect"

In order to load a package in R you can use the below function:

In your scenario, you do not encrypt in the meaning of asymmetric encryption; I'd rather call it "encode".

So you encode your data into some binary representation, then you sign with your private key. If you cannot verify the signature via your public key, you know that the signed data is not generated with your private key. ("verification" meaning that the unsigned data is not meaningful)

You want the -u option for sudo in this case. From the man page:

After that, you can update ADT plugin after 20140702 version. This answer was intended for the ones starting from zero.

As many suggested removing the <Target> tag may make it compile-able. Yet, beware of the fact that it has a side effect when you do it for test projects.

I got error related to MSTest.TestAdapter nuget package while compiling. Resolved that issue by removing <Target> tag. Though it made build successful, test methods became non discover-able. Test explorer won't list down the test methods in that project and Run Test or Debug Test won't work as well.

I encountered this while using Visual Studio 2017 and .Net framework 4.7, it can very well happen in other versions

In my case, the problem was JS-CSS-HTML Formatter extension installed after january update. The default indent_char property is space. I uninstalled it and the weird behavior stops.

You should very rarely ever need to use dynamic cast.
This is why we have virtual methods:

The only reason I can think of is if you stored your object in a base class container:

This might help someone so I'll put my inputs here as well.

I've encountered the same (or similar) problem. Apparently, the problem was the POST request was blocked by Modsec by the following rules: 350147, 340147, 340148, 350148

After blocking the request, I was redirected to the same endpoint but as a GET request of course and thus the 405.

I whitelisted those rules and voila, the 405 error was gone.

For general case of syntax you can look at annex A of the ANSI C standard.

In the Backus-Naur form from there, you can see that typedef has the type storage-class-specifier.

In the type declaration-specifiers you can see that you can mix many specifier types, the order of which does not matter.

For example, it is correct to say,

long typedef long a;

to define the type a as an alias for long long. So , to understand the typedef on the exhaustive use you need to consult some backus-naur form that defines the syntax (there are many correct grammars for ANSI C, not only that of ISO).

When you use typedef to define an alias for a function type you need to put the alias in the same place where you put the identifier of the function. In your case you define the type FunctionFunc as an alias for a pointer to function whose type checking is disabled at call and returning nothing.

The variety of answers can cause a little confusion. We have

• setBackgroundResource()
• setBackgroundDrawable()
• setBackground()
• setImageResource()
• setImageDrawable()
• setImageBitmap()

The methods with Background in their name all belong to the View class, not to ImageView specifically. But since ImageView inherits from View you can use them, too. The methods with Image in their name belong specifically to ImageView.

Let's not use NOW() as you're losing any query caching or optimization because the query is different every time. See the list of functions you should not use in the MySQL documentation.

In the code below, let's assume this table is growing with time. New stuff is added and you want to show just the stuff in the last 30 days. This is the most common case.

Note that the date has been added as a string. It is better to add the date in this way, from your calling code, than to use the NOW() function as it kills your caching.

Methodology

In this experiment, two classes will be compared. The StreamReader and the FileStream class will be directed to read two files of 10K and 200K in their entirety from the application directory.

FileStream is obviously faster in this test. It takes an additional 50% more time for StreamReader to read the small file. For the large file, it took an additional 27% of the time.

StreamReader is specifically looking for line breaks while FileStream does not. This will account for some of the extra time.

Recommendations

Depending on what the application needs to do with a section of data, there may be additional parsing that will require additional processing time. Consider a scenario where a file has columns of data and the rows are CR/LF delimited. The StreamReader would work down the line of text looking for the CR/LF, and then the application would do additional parsing looking for a specific location of data. (Did you think String. SubString comes without a price?)

On the other hand, the FileStream reads the data in chunks and a proactive developer could write a little more logic to use the stream to his benefit. If the needed data is in specific positions in the file, this is certainly the way to go as it keeps the memory usage down.

FileStream is the better mechanism for speed but will take more logic.

I'd start by the distinction that exists in Scala between def, val and var.

• def - defines an immutable label for the right side content which is lazily evaluated - evaluate by name.

• val - defines an immutable label for the right side content which is eagerly/immediately evaluated - evaluated by value.

• var - defines a mutable variable, initially set to the evaluated right side content.

What made it work is the MediaStore.Images.Media.getBitmap(this.getContentResolver(), Uri.parse(mCurrentPhotoPath)), which is different from the code from developer.android.com. The original code gave me a FileNotFoundException.

Building on Brad Larson's answer, if you have major and minor version info stored in the info plist (as I did on a particular project), this worked well for me:

Now revving a minor version manually can be a pain, and so using a source repository revision number trick is ideal. If you've not tied that in (as I hadn't), the above snippet can be useful. It also pulls out the app's display name.

A well-explained answer is already given by @mkobit, but I will add a big picture of the range key and hash key.

In a simple words range + hash key = composite primary key CoreComponents of Dynamodb

A primary key is consists of a hash key and an optional range key. Hash key is used to select the DynamoDB partition. Partitions are parts of the table data. Range keys are used to sort the items in the partition, if they exist.

So both have a different purpose and together help to do complex query. In the above example hashkey1 can have multiple n-range. Another example of range and hashkey is game, userA(hashkey) can play Ngame(range)

The Music table described in Tables, Items, and Attributes is an example of a table with a composite primary key (Artist and SongTitle). You can access any item in the Music table directly, if you provide the Artist and SongTitle values for that item.

A composite primary key gives you additional flexibility when querying data. For example, if you provide only the value for Artist, DynamoDB retrieves all of the songs by that artist. To retrieve only a subset of songs by a particular artist, you can provide a value for Artist along with a range of values for SongTitle.

For questions on simple string manipulation the dir built-in function comes in handy. It gives you, among others, a list of methods of the argument, e.g., dir(s) returns a list containing upper.

Try running CREATE TABLE [schemaname].[tableName]; GO;

This assumes the schemaname exists in your database. Please use CREATE SCHEMA [schemaname] if you need to create a schema as well.

C# 4.0's dynamic keyword makes this even easier, if less safe:

If you are using Java 1.6 or greater, you can use Arrays.copyOfRange to copy a portion of the array. From the javadoc:

Copies the specified range of the specified array into a new array. The initial index of the range (from) must lie between zero and original.length, inclusive. Most of the answers given so far go in the wrong direction, suggesting to load additional libraries and use the code instead of markup. In Ipython/Jupyter Notebooks it is very simple. Make sure the cell is indeed in markup and to display a image use:

Both are the same thing but many of the databases are not providing the varying char mainly postgreSQL is providing. So for the multi database like Oracle Postgre and DB2 it is good to use the Varchar

GUID algorithms are usually implemented according to the v4 GUID specification, which is essentially a pseudo-random string. Sadly, these fall into the category of "likely non-unique", from Wikipedia (I don't know why so many people ignore this bit): "... other GUID versions have different uniqueness properties and probabilities, ranging from guaranteed uniqueness to likely non-uniqueness."

The pseudo-random properties of V8's JavaScript Math.random() are TERRIBLE at uniqueness, with collisions often coming after only a few thousand iterations, but V8 isn't the only culprit. I've seen real-world GUID collisions using both PHP and Ruby implementations of v4 GUIDs.

Because it's becoming more and more common to scale ID generation across multiple clients, and clusters of servers, entropy takes a big hit -- the chances of the same random seed being used to generate an ID escalate (time is often used as a random seed in pseudo-random generators), and GUID collisions escalate from "likely non-unique" to "very likely to cause lots of trouble".

To solve this problem, I set out to create an ID algorithm that could scale safely, and make better guarantees against collision. It does so by using the timestamp, an in-memory client counter, client fingerprint, and random characters. The combination of factors creates an additive complexity that is particularly resistant to collision, even if you scale it across a number of hosts:

Joining the party late, but just as a complement, I ran into some problems with Seaborn not so long ago, because CoLab installed a version with !pip that wasn't updated. In my specific case, I couldn't use Scatterplot, for example. The answer to this is below:

To install the module, all you need is:

!pip install seaborn

To upgrade it to the most updated version:

!pip install --upgrade seaborn

If you want to install a specific version

!pip install seaborn==0.9.0

I believe all the rules common to pip apply normally, so that pretty much should work.

To get the file name portion of the file name, the basename method is used:

In your for loop you need to multiply the units * price. That gives you the total for that particular item. Also in the for loop you should add that to a counter that keeps track of the grand total. Your code would look something like

total should be scoped so it's accessible from within main unless you want to pass it around between function calls. Then you can either just print out the total or create a method that prints it out for you.

I had a number of issues come up with JSON dates and decided to just get rid of the problem by addressing the date issue in the SQL. Change the date format to a string format

This annotation must be specified for persistent fields or properties of type java.util.Date and java.util.Calendar. It may only be specified for fields or properties of these types.

The Temporal annotation may be used in conjunction with the Basic annotation, the Id annotation, or the ElementCollection annotation (when the element collection value is of such a temporal type.

In plain Java APIs, the temporal precision of time is not defined. When dealing with temporal data, you might want to describe the expected precision in database. Temporal data can have DATE, TIME, or TIMESTAMP precision (i.e., the actual date, only the time, or both). Use the @Temporal annotation to fine tune that.

Option 2 is a non-starter - you can't override fields, you can only hide them.

Personally, I'd go for option 1 every time. I try to keep fields private at all times. That's if you really need to be able to override the property at all, of course. Another option is to have a read-only property in the base class which is set from a constructor parameter:

Download the file and extract the comdlg32.ocx to your the Windows\System32 folder or Windows\SysWOW64. In my case i started with Windows\System32 but it didn’t work at my end, so I again saved in Windows\SysWOW64.

Type following command from Start, Run dialog:“c:\windows>System32\regsvr32 Comdlg32.ocx “ or “c:\windows>SysWOW64\regsvr32 Comdlg32.ocx ”

Now Comdlg.ocx File is register and next step is to register the DLL

1. Copy the Fundsite.Text.Encoding. dll into .Net Framework folder for 64bit on below path C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727

2. Then on command prompt and go to directory C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727 and then run the following command as shown below.

This will register the dll successfully.

Although it's too late , But here is my experience .

Whenever you get your maven project from a source controller or just copying your project from one machine to another , you need to update the dependencies .

For this Right-click on Project on project explorer -> Maven -> Update Project.

Please consider checking the "Force update of snapshot/releases" checkbox.

If you have not your dependencies in m2/repository then you need internet connection to get from the remote maven repository.

In case you have get from the source controller and you have not any unit test , It's probably your test folder does not include in the source controller in the first place , so you don't have those in the new repository.so you need to create those folders manually.

I have had both these cases .

I am not familiar with JXL and but we use POI. POI is well maintained and can handle both the binary .xls format and the new xml based format that was introduced in Office 2007.

CSV files are not excel files, they are text based files, so these libraries don't read them. You will need to parse out a CSV file yourself. I am not aware of any CSV file libraries, but I haven't looked either.

The answers cover things very well. I just wanted to point out that the mechanism of out parameters, as described in the question isn't very javascriptish. While other languages support it, javascript prefers you to simply return values from functions.

With ES6/ES2015 they added destructuring that makes a solution to this problem more elegant when returning an array. Destructuring will pull parts out of an array/object:

One way to achieve this is by adding the disabled prop to all children of the div. You can achieve this very easily:

This just means that the git clone copied the files down from github and placed them into a folder. If you try to do it again it will not let you because it can't clone into a folder that has files into it. So if you think the git clone did not complete properly, just delete the folder and do the git clone again. The clone creates a folder the same name as the git repo.

I'd suggest OOWeb to act as an HTTP server and a templating engine like Velocity to generate HTML. I also second Esko's suggestion of Wicket. Both solutions are considerably simpler than the average setup.

A few notes:

• If the JScriptTypeInfo instance refers to a Javascript object, For Each ... Next won't work. However, it does work if it refers to a Javascript array (see GetKeys function).
• The access properties whose name is only known at run-time, use the functions GetProperty and GetObjectProperty.
• The Javascript array provides the properties length, 0, Item 0, 1, Item 1 etc. With the VBA dot notation (jsonObject.property), only the length property is accessible and only if you declare a variable called length with all lowercase letters. Otherwise the case doesn't match and it won't find it. The other properties are not valid in VBA. So better use the GetProperty function.
• The code uses early binding. So you have to add a reference to "Microsoft Script Control 1.0".
• You have to call InitScriptEngine once before using the other functions to do some basic initialization.

It usually works when you change the directory name, where the file is. It worked for me when I moved it from "js/" to "../js"

I needed to copy a table from one database another database. For anyone using a GUI like Sequel Ace you can right click table and click 'copy create table syntax' and run that query (you can edit the query, e.g. change table name, remove foreign keys, add/remove columns if desired)

You might have set oracle not to start automatically. Goto Start and search for Services. Scroll down and look for OracleServiceORCL (or OracleServiceSID). Double click and change startup type to automatic if it is set as manual.

First. You have mistake in using function strtotime see PHP documentation

You need modify your code to pass integer timestamp into this function.

Second. You use format d.m.Y H:i that includes time part. If you wish to compare only dates, you must remove time part, e.g. `$date = date("d.m.Y");``

Third. I am not sure if it works in the same way for you, but my PHP doesn't understand date format from $timestamp and returns 01.01.1970 02:00 into $match_date

You need to check if strtotime($timestamp) returns correct date string. If no, you need to specify format which is used in $timestamp variable. You can do this using one of functions date_parse_from_format or DateTime::createFromFormat

Keep in mind that readonly only applies to the value itself, so if you're using a reference type readonly only protects the reference from being change. The state of the instance is not protected by readonly.

This article explains in detail how to find the reason for last startup/shutdown. In my case, this was due to windows SCCM pushing updates even though I had it disabled locally. Visit the article for full details with pictures. For reference, here are the steps copy/pasted from the website:

For my case, dmatrices in patsy solved my problem. Actually, this function is designed for the generation of dependent and independent variables from a given DataFrame with an R-style formula string. But it can be used for the generation of dummy features from the categorical features. All you need to do would be drop the column 'Intercept' that is generated by dmatrices automatically regardless of your original DataFrame.

You can do this with ssh, for example:

You can add the StrictHostKeyChecking=no option to ssh:

This will disable the host key check and automatically add the host key to the list of known hosts. If you do not want to have the host added to the known hosts file, add the option -o UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null.

Note that this disables certain security checks, for example protection against man-in-the-middle attack. It should therefore not be applied in a security sensitive environment.

SQlite does not have a specific datetime type. You can use TEXT, REAL or INTEGER types, whichever suits your needs.

SQLite does not have a storage class set aside for storing dates and/or times. Instead, the built-in Date And Time Functions of SQLite are capable of storing dates and times as TEXT, REAL, or INTEGER values:

• TEXT as ISO8601 strings ("YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.SSS").
• REAL as Julian day numbers, the number of days since noon in Greenwich on November 24, 4714 B.C. according to the proleptic Gregorian calendar.

This will run on every row of the specified table. No need for a WHERE clause unless you want to specify only certain rows.

I got it working by adding to ~/.profile. Somehow after updating to El Capitan beta, it didnt work even though JAVA_HOME was defined in .bash_profile.

If there are any El Capitan beta users, try adding to .profile

1. = 0 means that a function is pure virtual and you cannot instantiate an object from this class. You need to derive from it and implement this method
2. = delete means that the compiler will not generate those constructors for you. AFAIK this is only allowed on copy constructor and assignment operator. But I am not too good at the upcoming standard.

It's important to understand that there are two aspects to thread safety.

1. execution control, and
2. memory visibility

The first has to do with controlling when code executes (including the order in which instructions are executed) and whether it can execute concurrently, and the second to do with when the effects in memory of what has been done are visible to other threads. Because each CPU has several levels of cache between it and main memory, threads running on different CPUs or cores can see "memory" differently at any given moment in time because threads are permitted to obtain and work on private copies of main memory.

Using synchronized prevents any other thread from obtaining the monitor (or lock) for the same object, thereby preventing all code blocks protected by synchronization on the same object from executing concurrently. Synchronization also creates a "happens-before" memory barrier, causing a memory visibility constraint such that anything done up to the point some thread releases a lock appears to another thread subsequently acquiring the same lock to have happened before it acquired the lock. In practical terms, on current hardware, this typically causes flushing of the CPU caches when a monitor is acquired and writes to main memory when it is released, both of which are (relatively) expensive.

Using volatile, on the other hand, forces all accesses (read or write) to the volatile variable to occur to main memory, effectively keeping the volatile variable out of CPU caches. This can be useful for some actions where it is simply required that visibility of the variable be correct and order of accesses is not important. Using volatile also changes treatment of long and double to require accesses to them to be atomic; on some (older) hardware this might require locks, though not on modern 64 bit hardware. Under the new (JSR-133) memory model for Java 5+, the semantics of volatile have been strengthened to be almost as strong as synchronized with respect to memory visibility and instruction ordering (see http://www.cs.umd.edu/users/pugh/java/memoryModel/jsr-133-faq.html#volatile). For the purposes of visibility, each access to a volatile field acts like half a synchronization.

Under the new memory model, it is still true that volatile variables cannot be reordered with each other. The difference is that it is now no longer so easy to reorder normal field accesses around them. Writing to a volatile field has the same memory effect as a monitor release, and reading from a volatile field has the same memory effect as a monitor acquire. In effect, because the new memory model places stricter constraints on reordering of volatile field accesses with other field accesses, volatile or not, anything that was visible to thread A when it writes to volatile field f becomes visible to thread B when it reads f.

So, now both forms of memory barrier (under the current JMM) cause an instruction re-ordering barrier which prevents the compiler or run-time from re-ordering instructions across the barrier. In the old JMM, volatile did not prevent re-ordering. This can be important, because apart from memory barriers the only limitation imposed is that, for any particular thread, the net effect of the code is the same as it would be if the instructions were executed in precisely the order in which they appear in the source.

One use of volatile is for a shared but immutable object is recreated on the fly, with many other threads taking a reference to the object at a particular point in their execution cycle. One needs the other threads to begin using the recreated object once it is published, but does not need the additional overhead of full synchronization and it's attendant contention and cache flushing.

Speaking to your read-update-write question, specifically. Consider the following unsafe code:

Now, with the updateCounter() method unsynchronized, two threads may enter it at the same time. Among the many permutations of what could happen, one is that thread-1 does the test for counter==1000 and finds it true and is then suspended. Then thread-2 does the same test and also sees it true and is suspended. Then thread-1 resumes and sets counter to 0. Then thread-2 resumes and again sets counter to 0 because it missed the update from thread-1. This can also happen even if thread switching does not occur as I have described, but simply because two different cached copies of counter were present in two different CPU cores and the threads each ran on a separate core. For that matter, one thread could have counter at one value and the other could have counter at some entirely different value just because of caching.

What's important in this example is that the variable counter was read from main memory into cache, updated in cache and only written back to main memory at some indeterminate point later when a memory barrier occurred or when the cache memory was needed for something else. Making the counter volatile is insufficient for thread-safety of this code, because the test for the maximum and the assignments are discrete operations, including the increment which is a set of non-atomic read+increment+write machine instructions, something like:

Volatile variables are useful only when all operations performed on them are "atomic", such as my example where a reference to a fully formed object is only read or written (and, indeed, typically it's only written from a single point). Another example would be a volatile array reference backing a copy-on-write list, provided the array was only read by first taking a local copy of the reference to it.

I have a utility method that returns a string with the stacktrace:

In config/database.php I changed the default DB connection from mysql to sqlite. I deleted the .env file (actually renamed it) and created the sqlite file with touch storage/database.sqlite. The migration worked with sqlite.

Then I switched back the config/database.php default DB connection to mysql and recovered the .env file. The migration worked with mysql.

It doesn't make sense I guess. Maybe was something serverside.

You can direct the subprocess output to the streams directly. Simplified example:

There exists an axes method tick_params that can change tick properties. It also exists as an axis method as set_tick_params

As a side note, the current solution mixes the stateful interface (using pyplot) with the object-oriented interface by using the command plt.xticks(rotation=70). Since the code in the question uses the object-oriented approach, it's best to stick to that approach throughout. The solution does give a good explicit solution with plt.setp( axs[1].xaxis.get_majorticklabels(), rotation=70 )

Database clustering is a bit of an ambiguous term, some vendors consider a cluster having two or more servers share the same storage, some others call a cluster a set of replicated servers.

Replication defines the method by which a set of servers remain synchronized without having to share the storage being able to be geographically disperse, there are two main ways of going about it:

• master-master (or multi-master) replication: Any server can update the database. It is usually taken care of by a different module within the database (or a whole different software running on top of them in some cases).

  Downside is that it is very hard to do well, and some systems lose ACID properties when in this mode of replication.

  Upside is that it is flexible and you can support the failure of any server while still having the database updated.

• master-slave replication: There is only a single copy of authoritative data, which is the pushed to the slave servers.

  Downside is that it is less fault tolerant, if the master dies, there are no further changes in the slaves.

  Upside is that it is easier to do than multi-master and it usually preserve ACID properties.

Load balancing is a different concept, it consists distributing the queries sent to those servers so the load is as evenly distributed as possible. It is usually done at the application layer (or with a connection pool). The only direct relation between replication and load balancing is that you need some replication to be able to load balance, else you'd have a single server.

(1) list[...]<- I had posted this over a decade ago on r-help. Since then it has been added to the gsubfn package. It does not require a special operator but does require that the left hand side be written using list[...] like this:

As you say, this is strictly undefined behaviour, though it will "work" on many platforms. The real reason for using unions is to create variant records.

Of course, you also need some sort of discriminator to say what the variant actually contains. And note that in C++ unions are not much use because they can only contain POD types - effectively those without constructors and destructors.

Scan your workspace .metadata directory for files called *.launch. I forget which plugin directory exactly holds these records, but it might even be the most basic org.eclipse.plugins.core one.

.NET works fine with Unicode, assuming it's told it's Unicode to begin with (or left at the default).

My guess is that your receiving app can't handle it. So, I'd probably use the ASCIIEncoder with an EncoderReplacementFallback with String.Empty:

Edit: In a comment, I was asked to explain what this code is doing. Basically, it's creating an ACTION_SEND intent for the native email client ONLY, then tacking other intents onto the chooser. Making the original intent email-specific gets rid of all the extra junk like wifi and bluetooth, then I grab the other intents I want from a generic ACTION_SEND of type plain-text, and tack them on before showing the chooser.

When I grab the additional intents, I set custom text for each one.

Edit2: It's been awhile since I posted this, and things have changed a bit. If you are seeing gmail twice in the list of options, try removing the special handling for "android.gm" as suggested in a comment by @h_k below.

Based on your comments to orip's post, I guess this is what happened:

1. You edited __init__.py on windows.
2. The windows editor added something non-printing, perhaps a carriage-return (end-of-line in Windows is CR/LF; in unix it is LF only), or perhaps a CTRL-Z (windows end-of-file).
3. You used WinSCP to copy the file to your unix box.
4. WinSCP thought: "This has something that's not basic text; I'll put a .bin extension to indicate binary data."
5. The missing __init__.py (now called __init__.py.bin) means python doesn't understand toolkit as a package.

As xanatos said, this is a misuse of ForEach.

If you are going to use linq to handle this, I would do it like this:

However, the Loop approach is more readable and therefore more maintainable.

It needs to be clarified that not only data should be cache-friendly, it is just as important for the code. This is in addition to branch predicition, instruction reordering, avoiding actual divisions and other techniques.

Typically the denser the code, the fewer cache lines will be required to store it. This results in more cache lines being available for data.

The code should not call functions all over the place as they typically will require one or more cache lines of their own, resulting in fewer cache lines for data.

A function should begin at a cache line-alignment-friendly address. Though there are (gcc) compiler switches for this be aware that if the the functions are very short it might be wasteful for each one to occupy an entire cache line. For example, if three of the most often used functions fit inside one 64 byte cache line, this is less wasteful than if each one has its own line and results in two cache lines less available for other usage. A typical alignment value could be 32 or 16.

So spend some extra time to make the code dense. Test different constructs, compile and review the generated code size and profile.

Now in all those path settings that the Eclipse Help manual talks about INSTEAD of typing the path, Select Variables and

**MINGW_HOME** 

and do so for all instances which would ask for the compiler's path.

First would be to click Preferences of the whatever project and C/C++ General then Paths and Symbols and add the

**MINGW_HOME** to those paths of for the compiler.

Next simply add the home directory to the Build Variables under the C++/C Build
