I did come also in search of how to get input data from the Text widget. Regarding the problem with a new line on the end of the string. You can just use .strip() since it is a Text widget that is always a string.

Also, I'm sharing code where you can see how you can create multiply Text widgets and save them in the dictionary as form data, and then by clicking the submit button get that form data and do whatever you want with it. I hope it helps others. It should work in any 3.x python and probably will work in 2.7 also.

Surrounding the path and the argument with spaces inside quotes as in your example should do. The command may need to handle the quotes when the parameters are passed to it, but it usually is not a big deal.

In order to completely set the background to a given color :

1) set first the background color

2) call method "Clear(0,0,this.getWidth(),this.getHeight())" (width and height of the component paint area)

I think it is the basic procedure to set the background... I've had the same problem.

Another usefull hint : if you want to draw BUT NOT in a specific zone (something like a mask or a "hole"), call the setClip() method of the graphics with the "hole" shape (any shape) and then call the Clear() method (background should previously be set to the "hole" color).

You can make more complicated clip zones by calling method clip() (any times you want) AFTER calling method setClip() to have intersections of clipping shapes.

I had an older version of Azure AD installed too, this is what worked for me. Install this.

Which approach you use, of course, depends on what your end goal is. If you want to submit the results with a form then using native form elements means you don't have to use scripting to submit. Yes, using nircmd does mean you are using another 3rd-party .exe, but it can do some functions not in (most of) the above solutions (e.g., pick a icon # in a dll with multiple icons, assign a hot-key, and set the shortcut target to be minimized or maximized).

Though it appears that the shortcutjs.bat solution above can do most of that, too, but you'll need to dig more to find how to properly assign those settings. Nircmd is probably simpler.

I ran into a very obscure and annoying cause of error 6. After goofing around with some NFS mounted volumes, uploads started failing. Problem resolved by restarting services

This is likely because with the trailing slash, NGinx tries to find the default index file which is probably index.html without configuration. Without the trailing slash it tries to match the file testservice which he can't find. Either this and/or you don't have any default index file in the testservice folder.

Try adding this line to your server configuration :

In the latest Intellij ver 2020, we have an option called soft-wrap these files. Settings > Editor > General > soft-wrap these files. Check this option and add the type of files u need wrap.

People use it because they're inherently lazy when building dynamic SQL queries. If you start with a "where 1 = 1" then all your extra clauses just start with "and" and you don't have to figure out.

Not that there's anything wrong with being inherently lazy. I've seen doubly-linked lists where an "empty" list consists of two sentinel nodes and you start processing at the first->next up until last->prev inclusive.

This actually removed all the special handling code for deleting first and last nodes. In this set-up, every node was a middle node since you weren't able to delete first or last. Two nodes were wasted but the code was simpler and (ever so slightly) faster.

The only other place I've ever seen the "1 = 1" construct is in BIRT. Reports often use positional parameters and are modified with Javascript to allow all values. So the query:

select * from tbl where col = ?

when the user selects "*" for the parameter being used for col is modified to read:

select * from tbl where ((col = ?) or (1 = 1))

This allows the new query to be used without fiddling around with the positional parameter details. There's still exactly one such parameter. Any decent DBMS (e.g., DB2/z) will optimize that query to basically remove the clause entirely before trying to construct an execution plan, so there's no trade-off.

For the record, I think the assertion that "There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it." is bogus. It makes an assumption that many technical minded people make, that everyone thinks alike. What is obvious to one person is not so obvious to another.

I would argue that my proposed solution is clearly readable, and does what you ask. I don't believe there are any performance hits involved with it--though I admit I might be missing something. But despite all of that, it might not be obvious and preferable to another developer.

Existing code is working, but is blocking the thread.

.Select(async ev => await ProcessEventAsync(ev))

creates a new Task for every event, but

.Select(t => t.Result)

blocks the thread waiting for each new task to end.

In the other hand your code produce the same result but keeps asynchronous.

Just one comment on your first code. This line

var tasks = await Task.WhenAll(events...

will produce a single Task<TResult[]> so the variable should be named in singular.

Finally your last code make the same but is more succinct.

The Functional Approach

All the cool kids are doing functional programming (hello React users) these days so I thought I would give the functional solution. In my view it's actually a lot nicer than the imperatival for and each loops that have been proposed thus far and with ES6 syntax it is quite elegant.

There's now a great way of doing this called findIndex which takes a function that return true/false based on whether the array element matches (as always, check for browser compatibility though).

Well, the above answer is correct, auto_now_add and auto_now would do it, but it would be better to make an abstract class and use it in any model where you require created_at and updated_at fields.

break completely exits the loop. continue skips the statements after the continue statement and keeps looping.

1. on your android studio at the top right corner beside the search icon you can find the SDK Manager.
2. view android SDK location (this will show you your sdk path)
3. navigate to file explorer on your system, and locate the file path, this should be found something like Windows=> c://Users/johndoe/AppData/local/android (you can now see the sdk.) Mac=>/Users/johndoe/Library/Android/sdk
4. check the platform tools folder and see if you would see anything like adb.exe (it should be missing probably because it was corrupted and your antivirus or windows defender has quarantined it)
5. delete the platform tools folder
6. go back to android studio and from where you left off navigate to sdk tools (this should be right under android sdk location)
7. uncheck android sdk platform-tools and select ok. (this will uninstall the platform tools from your ide) wait till it is done and then your gradle will sync.
8. after sync is complete, go back and check the box of android sdk platform-tools (this will install a fresh one with new adb.exe) wait till it is done and sync project and then you are good to go.

I hope this saves someone some hours of pain.

I found that many people seem to have a problem with using mysql_connect, mysql_query and mysql_fetch_array.

If you want the click handler to work for an element that gets loaded dynamically, then you set the event handler on a parent object (that does not get loaded dynamically) and give it a selector that matches your dynamic object like this:

$('#parent').on("click", "#child", function() {});

The event handler will be attached to the #parent object and anytime a click event bubbles up to it that originated on #child, it will fire your click handler. This is called delegated event handling (the event handling is delegated to a parent object).

It's done this way because you can attach the event to the #parent object even when the #child object does not exist yet, but when it later exists and gets clicked on, the click event will bubble up to the #parent object, it will see that it originated on #child and there is an event handler for a click on #child and fire your event.

In my experience JSON.stringify is slightly faster than util.inspect. I had to save the result object of a DB2 query as a json file, The query returned an object of 92k rows, the conversion took very long to complete with util.inspect, so I did the following test by writing the same 1000 record object to a file with both methods.

You could use the built-in exec statement, eg.:

All of the answers so far are good, and get at different aspects of how a hashtable works. Here is a simple example that might be helpful. Lets say we want to store some items with lower case alphabetic strings as a keys.

As simon explained, the hash function is used to map from a large space to a small space. A simple, naive implementation of a hash function for our example could take the first letter of the string, and map it to an integer, so "alligator" has a hash code of 0, "bee" has a hash code of 1, "zebra" would be 25, etc.

Next we have an array of 26 buckets (could be ArrayLists in Java), and we put the item in the bucket that matches the hash code of our key. If we have more than one item that has a key that begins with the same letter, they will have the same hash code, so would all go in the bucket for that hash code so a linear search would have to be made in the bucket to find a particular item.

In our example, if we just had a few dozen items with keys spanning the alphabet, it would work very well. However, if we had a million items or all the keys all started with 'a' or 'b', then our hash table would not be ideal. To get better performance, we would need a different hash function and/or more buckets.

The *TO_BE_REPLACED_LAYOUT_ID* can be the entire page of activity or a part of it, just make sure to put an id to the layout to be replaced. It is general practice to put the replaceable layout in a FrameLayout .

The @EJB is used to inject EJB's only and is available for quite some time now. @Inject can inject any managed bean and is a part of the new CDI specification (since Java EE 6).

In simple cases you can simply change @EJB to @Inject. In more advanced cases (e.g. when you heavily depend on @EJB's attributes like beanName, lookup or beanInterface) than in order to use @Inject you would need to define a @Producer field or method.

train_test_split splits arrays or matrices into random train and test subsets. That means that everytime you run it without specifying random_state, you will get a different result, this is expected behavior. For example:

Run 1:

It changes. On the other hand if you use random_state=some_number, then you can guarantee that the output of Run 1 will be equal to the output of Run 2, i.e. your split will be always the same. It doesn't matter what the actual random_state number is 42, 0, 21, ... The important thing is that everytime you use 42, you will always get the same output the first time you make the split. This is useful if you want reproducible results, for example in the documentation, so that everybody can consistently see the same numbers when they run the examples. In practice I would say, you should set the random_state to some fixed number while you test stuff, but then remove it in production if you really need a random (and not a fixed) split.

Regarding your second question, a pseudo-random number generator is a number generator that generates almost truly random numbers. Why they are not truly random is out of the scope of this question and probably won't matter in your case, you can take a look here form more details.

In my case, we have hooks for commit messages, our server script accepts commits if they have the special format for commit message"<JIRA ID><Message>". It(hook) declines commit if respective Jira ticket does not exist or there are some special symbols in the commit message. Your example creates multiple key: value pairs if using fromkeys. If you don't want this, you can use one key and create an alias for the key. For example if you are using a register map, your key can be the register address and the alias can be register name. That way you can perform read/write operations on the correct register.

The big thing to get your head around is that the File class tries to represent a view of what Sun like to call "hierarchical pathnames" (basically a path like c:/foo.txt or /usr/muggins). This is why you create files in terms of paths. The operations you are describing are all operations upon this "pathname".

• getPath() fetches the path that the File was created with (../foo.txt)
• getAbsolutePath() fetches the path that the File was created with, but includes information about the current directory if the path is relative (/usr/bobstuff/../foo.txt)
• getCanonicalPath() attempts to fetch a unique representation of the absolute path to the file. This eliminates indirection from ".." and "." references (/usr/foo.txt).

Note I say attempts - in forming a Canonical Path, the VM can throw an IOException. This usually occurs because it is performing some filesystem operations, any one of which could fail.

CEF offers lot of flexibility and options for customisation. But if the intent is to develop quickly node-webkit is also a good option. Node-web kit also offers ability to call node modules directly from DOM.

If there aren't any native modules to integrate Node-Webkit can offer better mileage. With native modules C/C++ or even C# it is better with CEF.

According to a react developer, you dont need the namespace xmlns. If you need the attribute xlink:href you can use xlinkHref from react 0.14

Binary semaphore and Mutex are different. From OS perspective, a binary semaphore and counting semaphore are implemented in the same way and a binary semaphore can have a value 0 or 1.

Mutex -> Can only be used for one and only purpose of mutual exclusion for a critical section of code.

There is no need for using NSAttributedString. All you need is a simple label with the proper textColor. Plus this simple solution will work with all versions of iOS, not just iOS 6.

I know this question is old. And the question did not mentioned which version of Bootstrap he was using. So i'll assume the answer to this question is resolved.

If any of you (like me) stumbled upon this question and looking for answer using current bootstrap 5.0 (2020) and 4.5 (2019) framework, then here's the solution.

Bootstrap 4.5 and 5.0

Use d-flex justify-content-center on your column div. This will center everything inside that column.

mysqli_fetch_assoc() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given

This means that the first parameter you passed is a boolean (true or false).

The first parameter is $result, and it is false because there is a syntax error in the query.

" ... WHERE PartNumber = $partid';"

You should never directly include a request variable in a SQL query, else the users are able to inject SQL in your queries. (See SQL injection.)

You should escape the variable:

Or better, use Prepared Statements.

You can always create a new Eclipse workspace. The Eclipse.exe -clean option is not sufficient in some cases, for example, if the local history becomes a problem.

Edit:

Eclipse is mostly a collection of third party plugins. And each of those plugins can add some extra useful, useless or problematic information to the central Eclipse workspace meta-data folder.

The problem is that not every plugin participates during the user-issued cleanup routine. Therefore, I'd say that it is a problem in the system design of Eclipse, that it allows plugins to misbehave like this.

And therefore, I'd recommend to make yourself comfortable with the idea of using multiple workspaces and linking-in external project entities into each workspace. Because, this is the only workaround for the given system design, to handle faulty plugins that spam your workspace.

But this should not be the default pattern you follow when dealing with blocks that call self! This should only be used to break what would otherwise be a retain cycle between self and the block. If you were to adopt this pattern everywhere, you'd run the risk of passing a block to something that got executed after self was deallocated.

The substitute of fcntl on windows are win32api calls. The usage is completely different. It is not some switch you can just flip.

In other words, porting a fcntl-heavy-user module to windows is not trivial. It requires you to analyze what exactly each fcntl call does and then find the equivalent win32api code, if any.

There's also the possibility that some code using fcntl has no windows equivalent, which would require you to change the module api and maybe the structure/paradigm of the program using the module you're porting.

In short: the web server issues a unique identifier to each visitor on his first visit. The visitor must bring back that ID for him to be recognised next time around. This identifier also allows the server to properly segregate objects owned by one session against that of another.

Once he's on the service mode and on the groove, the same servlet will work on the requests from all other clients.

Why isn't it a good idea to have one instance per client? Think about this: Will you hire one pizza guy for every order that came? Do that and you'd be out of business in no time.

It comes with a small risk though. Remember: this single guy holds all the order information in his pocket: so if you're not cautious about thread safety on servlets, he may end up giving the wrong order to a certain client.

In my case it was permissions issue. The catch is that on device with Android 4.0.4 I got access to file without any error or exception. Here's an option that's similar, but provides another choice:

The difference here is that:

• Reduces repeated code by instantiating and configuring JsonSerializerSettings each place it's used.
• Saves time in configuring every property of every object to be serialized.
• Still gives other developers flexibility in serialization options, rather than having the property explicitly specified on a reusable object.
• My use-case is that the code is a 3rd party library and I don't want to force serialization options on developers who would want to reuse my classes.
• Potential drawbacks are that it's another object that other developers would need to know about, or if your application is small and this approach wouldn't matter for a single serialization.

I'd say consistency is more important than saving a few bytes. I always include semicolons.

On the other hand, I'd like to point out there are many places where the semicolon is not syntactically required, even if a compressor is nuking all available whitespace. e.g. at then end of a block.

I happened to get this error after changing Digital Ocean machine (IP address). Apparently Gmail recognized it as a hacking attack. After following their directions, and approving the new IP address the code is back and running.

Here I propose a way to do this exclusively using the Bootstrap framework built-in functionality.

1. You need to make sure the target div has an ID.
2. Bootstrap has a class "collapse", this will hide your block by default. If you want your div to be collapsible AND be shown by default you need to add "in" class to the collapse. Otherwise the toggle behavior will not work properly.
3. Then, on your hyperlink (also works for buttons), add an href attribute that points to your target div.
4. Finally, add the attribute data-toggle="collapse" to instruct Bootstrap to add an appropriate toggle script to this tag.

Here is a code sample than can be copy-pasted directly on a page that already includes Bootstrap framework (up to version 3.4.1):

If there are contents within the div that has the curved corners, you have to set overflow: hidden because otherwise the child div's overflow can give the impression that the border-radius isn't working.

str.join() Return a string which is the concatenation of the strings in iterable. The separator between elements is the string providing this method.

In C++, we had to write explicitly everything that the compiler is supposed to write for us (default constructor, destructor, copy constructor, copy assignment operator) for every class. Looks like whoever wrote the standards was not very confident on the language.

I think the easiest way to think about this variable like input parameter in lambda expression in C#. I.e. $_ is similar to x in x => Console.WriteLine(x) anonymous function in C#. Consider following examples:

PowerShell:

1,2,3 | ForEach-Object {Write-Host $_}

Prints:

1
2
3

or

1,2,3 | Where-Object {$_ -gt 1}

Prints:

2
3

And compare this with C# syntax using LINQ:

var list = new List<int> { 1, 2, 3 };
list.ForEach( _ => Console.WriteLine( _ ));

From the tool's documentation:

PyInstaller analyzes myscript.py and:

• Writes myscript.spec in the same folder as the script.
• Creates a folder build in the same folder as the script if it does not exist.
• Writes some log files and working files in the build folder.
• Creates a folder dist in the same folder as the script if it does not exist.
• Writes the myscript executable folder in the dist folder.

In the dist folder you find the bundled app you distribute to your users.
