1. Fix references error.
2. Close Visual Studio.
3. Delete Packages.
4. Delete .vs folder.
5. Run Project Again.

Running in Debug Mode

When you're developing and debugging an application, you will typically run with the debug attribute in the web.config file set to true and your DLLs compiled in debug mode. However, before you deploy your application to test or to production, you should compile your components in release mode and set the debug attribute to false.

ASP.NET works differently on many levels when running in debug mode. In fact, when you are running in debug mode, the GC will allow your objects to remain alive longer (until the end of the scope) so you will always see higher memory usage when running in debug mode.

Another often unrealized side-effect of running in debug mode is that client scripts served via the webresource.axd and scriptresource.axd handlers will not be cached. That means that each client request will have to download any scripts (such as ASP.NET AJAX scripts) instead of taking advantage of client-side caching. This can lead to a substantial performance hit.

We ran into this problem and tracked it down to the Geocoding.net NuGet package that we were using to help with our Google Maps views (Geocoding.net version 3.1.0 published 2/4/2014).

The Geocoding dll appears to be .Net 4.0 when you examine the package file or view it using Jet Brains’ Dot Peek application; however, a colleague of mine says that it was compiled using ilmerge so it is most likely related to the ilmerge problems listed above.

It was a long process to track it down. We fetched different changesets from TFS till we narrowed it down to the changeset that added the aforementioned NuGet package. After removing it, we were able to deploy to our .NET 4 server.

Resharper detected Microsoft.Web.Infrastructure as an unused reference an so I deleted it. Locally was working fine but then I got the same error after publishing to dev.

Conclusion, beware when deleting references marked as unused by Resharper

Update-Package -reinstall Microsoft.Web.Infrastructure didn't work for me, as I kept receiving errors that it was already installed.

I had to navigate to the Microsoft.Web.Infrastructure.1.0.0.0 folder in the packages folder and manually delete that folder.

After doing this, running Install-Package Microsoft.Web.Infrastructure installed it.

Note: CopyLocal was automatically set to true.

My solution was simply to reload a saved GOOD (backup) copy of my settings (made a year ago). Worth trying before resetting everything to blank. My VS2010 would take 60 seconds to start debugging and approx. 3 minutes to stop debugging. I saved the corrupted settings and to my surprise they were over 3MB instead of 260Kb. I loaded the good backup copy and everything is great again :-)

I found that, I am using a different InstallUtil from my target .NET Framework. I am building a .NET Framework 4.5, meanwhile the error occured if I am using the .NET Framework 2.0 release. Having use the right InstallUtil for my target .NET Framework, solved this problem!

This is an old post, but it may help some people searching on this error to try setting "Enable 32-Bit Applications" to True for the app pool. That is what resolved the error for me. I came upon this solution by reading some the comments to @beckelmw's answer.

You'll find that TeamViewer rarely needs to relay traffic through their own servers. TeamViewer penetrates NAT and networks complicated by NAT using NAT traversal (I think it is UDP hole-punching, like Google's libjingle).

They do use their own servers to middle-man in order to do the handshake and connection set-up, but most of the time the relationship between client and server will be P2P (best case, when the hand-shake is successful). If NAT traversal fails, then TeamViewer will indeed relay traffic through its own servers.

I've only ever seen it do this when a client has been behind double-NAT, though.

A different user name is the common cause for this, Nuget downloads everything into: "C:\Users\USER_NAME\source\repos" and if you had the project previously setup on a different user name the .csproj file may still contain that old user name there, simply open it and do a search replace for "C:\Users\_OLD_USER_NAME\source\repos" to "C:\Users\NEW_USER_NAME\source\repos".

I didn't see this mentioned in other answers, so I'll add this to the pot.

As others have said, Python doesn't enforce type on function or method parameters. It is assumed that you know what you're doing, and that if you really need to know the type of something that was passed in, you will check it and decide what to do for yourself.

One of the main tools for doing this is the isinstance() function.

For example, if I write a method that expects to get raw binary text data, rather than the normal utf-8 encoded strings, I could check the type of the parameters on the way in and either adapt to what I find, or raise an exception to refuse.

FWIW I would use an httphandler - there seems no point in invoking a page lifecycle and having to deal with clipping off the bits of viewstate and session and what have you which don't make sense for an XML doc. It's like buying a car and stripping it for parts to make your motorbike.

I found it was impossible to assign a layout to the centralwidget until I had added at least one child beneath it. Then I could highlight the tiny icon with the red 'disabled' mark and then click on a layout in the Designer toolbar at top.

One of my projects in my solution was set to Release mode. I changed it back to Debug mode, and the breakpoints are hitting now.

This limitation affected me when I tried to overload operators for generic types; since there was no "INumeric" constraint, and for a bevy of other reasons the good people on stackoverflow are happy to provide, operations cannot be defined on generic types.

I wanted something like

I have worked around this issue using .net4 dynamic runtime typing.

The two things about using dynamic are

1. Performance. All value types get boxed.
2. Runtime errors. You "beat" the compiler, but lose type safety. If the generic type doesn't have the operator defined, an exception will be thrown during execution.

This error occurs because the transaction log becomes full due to LOG_BACKUP. Therefore, you can’t perform any action on this database, and In this case, the SQL Server Database Engine will raise a 9002 error.

To solve this issue you should do the following

• Take a Full database backup.
• Shrink the log file to reduce the physical file size.
• Create a LOG_BACKUP.
• Create a LOG_BACKUP Maintenance Plan to take backup logs frequently.

I just use the "New Class" dialog in Eclipse and set the base class as Activity. I'm not aware of any other way to do this. What other method would you expect to be available?

You need to set the binding context of the ToolStripComboBox.ComboBox.

Here is a slightly modified version of the code that I have just recreated using Visual Studio. The menu item combo box is called toolStripComboBox1 in my case. Note the last line of code to set the binding context.

I noticed that if the combo is in the visible are of the toolstrip, the binding works without this but not when it is in a drop-down. Do you get the same problem?

TemplateBinding is not quite the same thing. MSDN docs are often written by people that have to quiz monosyllabic SDEs about software features, so the nuances are not quite right.

TemplateBindings are evaluated at compile time against the type specified in the control template. This allows for much faster instantiation of compiled templates. Just fumble the name in a templatebinding and you'll see that the compiler will flag it.

The binding markup is resolved at runtime. While slower to execute, the binding will resolve property names that are not visible on the type declared by the template. By slower, I'll point out that its kind of relative since the binding operation takes very little of the application's cpu. If you were blasting control templates around at high speed you might notice it.

As a matter of practice use the TemplateBinding when you can but don't fear the Binding.

The second method creates the instance on the stack, along with such things as something declared int and the list of parameters that are passed into the function.

1. By default, read_csv uses a C parser engine for performance. The C parser can only handle single character separators. If your CSV has a multi-character separator, you will need to modify your code to use the 'python' engine. You can also pass regular expressions:

Did you install miniconda and pandas without dependencies?

Try installing numpy first with conda install numpy or pip install numpy.

If you're on Windows you can get pre-compiled versions of most libraries that require compilation from here.

A lot of people are going to say this is a bad answer because it is not best practice but you can also convert it to a List before your where.

result = result.ToList().Where(p => date >= p.DOB);

Slauma's answer is better, but this would work as well. This cost more because ToList() will execute the Query against the database and move the results into memory.

I met this issue right on when I first install the Heroku's POSTGRES.app thing. After one morning trial and error i think this one line of code solved problem. As describe earlier, this is because postgresql does not have default role the first time it is set up. And we need to set that.

You must log in to your respective psql console to use this psql command.

Also noted that, if you already created the role 'postgre' but still get permission errors, you need to alter with command:

The objects in the std::set are stored as const StudentT. So when you try to call getId() with the const object the compiler detects a problem, mainly you're calling a non-const member function on const object which is not allowed because non-const member functions make NO PROMISE not to modify the object; so the compiler is going to make a safe assumption that getId() might attempt to modify the object but at the same time, it also notices that the object is const; so any attempt to modify the const object should be an error. Hence compiler generates an error message.

The solution is simple: make the functions const as:

This is necessary because now you can call getId() and getName() on const objects as:

As you have to use WITH (NOLOCK) for each table it might be annoying to write it in every FROM or JOIN clause. However it has a reason why it is called a "dirty" read. So you really should know when you do one, and not set it as default for the session scope. Why?

Forgetting a WITH (NOLOCK) might not affect your program in a very dramatic way, however doing a dirty read where you do not want one can make the difference in certain circumstances.

So use WITH (NOLOCK) if the current data selected is allowed to be incorrect, as it might be rolled back later. This is mostly used when you want to increase performance, and the requirements on your application context allow it to take the risk that inconsistent data is being displayed. However you or someone in charge has to weigh up pros and cons of the decision of using WITH (NOLOCK).

I encountered that error when I forgot to uncheck the Precompiled header from the additional options in the wizard after naming a new Win32 console application.

Because I don't need stdafx.h library, I removed it by going to Project menu, then click Properties or [name of our project] Properties or simply press Alt + F7. What are you expecting? The default Tomcat homepage? If so, you'll need to configure Eclipse to take control over from Tomcat.

Doubleclick the Tomcat server entry in the Servers tab, you'll get the server configuration. At the left column, under Server Locations, select Use Tomcat installation (note, when it is grayed out, read the section leading text! ;) ). This way Eclipse will take full control over Tomcat, this way you'll also be able to access the default Tomcat homepage with the Tomcat Manager when running from inside Eclipse. I only don't see how that's useful while developing using Eclipse.

The port number is not the problem. You would otherwise have gotten an exception in Tomcat's startup log, and the browser would show a browser-specific "Connection timed out" error page and thus not a Tomcat-specific error page which could impossibly be served when Tomcat was not up and running.

If you use Guava library, you can resort to Files utility class. It has a specific method, getFileExtension(). For instance:

step 1: Initialize the keras callback library to import tensorboard by using below command

The regular expression will match a line feed (\n) followed by a line containing the string Test Case followed by a number (\d), and the replacement will prepend that with the text you want to insert (variable newtext). Setting re.Global = False makes the replacement stop after the first match.

If the line breaks in your text file are encoded as CR-LF (carriage return + line feed) you'll have to change \n into \r\n and vbLf into vbCrLf.

If you have to modify several text files, you could do it in a loop like this:

Facebook uses what's called the Open Graph Protocol to decide what things to display when you share a link. The OGP looks at your page and tries to decide what content to show. We can lend a hand and actually tell Facebook what to take from our page.

The way we do that is with og:meta tags.

NetBeans Free! Plus, the best functionality of all offerings. Includes inline database connections, code completion, syntax checking, color coding, split views etc. Downside: It's a memory hog on the Mac. Be prepared to allow half a gig of memory then you'll need to shut down and restart.

Komodo A step above a Text Editor. Does not support database connections or split views. Color coding and syntax checking are there to an extent. The project control on Komodo is very unwieldy and strange compared to the other IDEs.

Aptana The perfect solution. Eclipsed based and uses the Aptana PHP plug in. Real time syntax checking, word wrap, drag and drop split views, database connections and a slew of other excellent features. Downside: Not a supported product any more. Aptana Studio 2.0+ uses PDT which is a watered down, under-developed (at present) php plug in.

Zend Studio - Almost identical to Aptana, except no word wrap and you can't change alot of the php configuration on the MAC apparently due to bugs.

Coda Created by Panic, Coda has nice integration with source control and their popular FTP client, transmit. They also have a collaboration feature which is cool for pair-programming.

PhpEd with Parallels or Wine. The best IDE for Windows has all the feature you could need and is worth the effort to pass it through either Parallels or Wine.

Dreamweaver Good for Javascript/HTML/CSS, but only marginal for PHP. There is some color coding, but no syntax checking or code completion native to the package. Database connections are supported, and so are split views.

I'm using NetBeans, which is free, and feature rich. I can deal with the memory issues for a while, but it could be slow coming to the MAC.

.val() always works with textarea elements.

.text() works sometimes and fails other times! It's not reliable (tested in Chrome 33)

What's best is that .val() works seamlessly with other form elements too (like input) whereas .text() fails.

It means that the standard now defines multi-threading, and it defines what happens in the context of multiple threads. Of course, people used varying implementations, but that's like asking why we should have a std::string when we could all be using a home-rolled string class.

When you're talking about POSIX threads or Windows threads, then this is a bit of an illusion as actually you're talking about x86 threads, as it's a hardware function to run concurrently. The C++0x memory model makes guarantees, whether you're on x86, or ARM, or MIPS, or anything else you can come up with.

Wrap them in another class so that you can end up with a single array or List of those objects.

Since you haven't posted any code, it's difficult to know exactly which problems you're encountering. However, the blog post you link to does seem to work pretty decently... aside from the extra comma in each call to CCCrypt() which caused compile errors.

A later comment on that post includes this adapted code, which works for me, and seems a bit more straightforward. If you include their code for the NSData category, you can write something like this: (Note: The printf() calls are only for demonstrating the state of the data at various points — in a real application, it wouldn't make sense to print such values.)

This definitely works on Snow Leopard, and @Boz reports that CommonCrypto is part of the Core OS on the iPhone. Both 10.4 and 10.5 have /usr/include/CommonCrypto, although 10.5 has a man page for CCCryptor.3cc and 10.4 doesn't, so YMMV.

I was having a similar issue but none of these fixes worked. The problem was that my button was not yet on the page. The fix for this ended up being going from this:

Another solution relies on the responder chain, which may or may not work depending on what the first responder is:

This problem can be caused by requests for certain files that don't exist. For example, requests for files in wp-content/uploads/ where the file does not exist.

If this is the situation you're seeing, you can solve the problem by going to .htaccess and changing this line:

RewriteRule ^(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $1 [L]

to:

RewriteRule ^(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) - [L]

The underlying issue is that the rule above triggers a rewrite to the exact same url with a slash in front and because there was a rewrite, the newly rewritten request goes back through the rules again and the same rule is triggered. By changing that line's "$1" to "-", no rewrite happens and so the rewriting process does not start over again with the same URL.

It's possible that there's a difference in how apache 2.2 and 2.4 handle this situation of only-difference-is-a-slash-in-front and that's why the default rules provided by WordPress aren't working perfectly.

I would use VARCHAR for variable length data, but not with fixed length data. Because a SHA-1 value is always 160 bit long, the VARCHAR would just waste an additional byte for the length of the fixed-length field.

And I also wouldn’t store the value the SHA1 is returning. Because it uses just 4 bit per character and thus would need 160/4 = 40 characters. But if you use 8 bit per character, you would only need a 160/8 = 20 character long field.

So I recommend you to use BINARY(20) and the UNHEX function to convert the SHA1 value to binary.

I compared storage requirements for BINARY(20) and CHAR(40).

Ok, I don't normally answer my own questions but after a bit of tinkering, I have figured out definitively how Oracle stores the result of a DATE subtraction.

When you subtract 2 dates, the value is not a NUMBER datatype (as the Oracle 11.2 SQL Reference manual would have you believe). The internal datatype number of a DATE subtraction is 14, which is a non-documented internal datatype (NUMBER is internal datatype number 2). However, it is actually stored as 2 separate two's complement signed numbers, with the first 4 bytes used to represent the number of days and the last 4 bytes used to represent the number of seconds.

An example of a DATE subtraction resulting in a positive integer difference:

select date '2009-08-07' - date '2008-08-08' from dual;

Results in:

Recall that the result is represented as a 2 seperate two's complement signed 4 byte numbers. Since there are no decimals in this case (364 days and 0 hours exactly), the last 4 bytes are all 0s and can be ignored. For the first 4 bytes, because my CPU has a little-endian architecture, the bytes are reversed and should be read as 1,108 or 0x16c, which is decimal 364.

An example of a DATE subtraction resulting in a negative integer difference:

select date '1000-08-07' - date '2008-08-08' from dual;

Again, since I am using a little-endian machine, the bytes are reversed and should be read as 255,250,97,224 which corresponds to 11111111 11111010 01100001 11011111. Now since this is in two's complement signed binary numeral encoding, we know that the number is negative because the leftmost binary digit is a 1. To convert this into a decimal number we would have to reverse the 2's complement (subtract 1 then do the one's complement) resulting in: 00000000 00000101 10011110 00100000 which equals -368160 as suspected.

An example of a DATE subtraction resulting in a decimal difference:

Now this time, since the difference is 0 days and 6 hours, it is expected that the first 4 bytes are 0. For the last 4 bytes, we can reverse them (because CPU is little-endian) and get 84,96 = 01010100 01100000 base 2 = 21600 in decimal. Converting 21600 seconds to hours gives you 6 hours which is the difference which we expected.

Hope this helps anyone who was wondering how a DATE subtraction is actually stored.

You get the syntax error because the date math does not return a NUMBER, but it returns an INTERVAL:

You need to convert the number in your example into an INTERVAL first using the NUMTODSINTERVAL Function

Based on the reverse cast with the NUMTODSINTERVAL() function, it appears some rounding is lost in translation.

Based off of @Mike Sherrill Cat Recall's answer, this is what worked for me:

According to the RFC that introduced the operator, $a <=> $b evaluates to:

• 0 if $a == $b
• -1 if $a < $b
• 1 if $a > $b

which seems to be the case in practice in every scenario I've tried, although strictly the official docs only offer the slightly weaker guarantee that $a <=> $b will return

an integer less than, equal to, or greater than zero when $a is respectively less than, equal to, or greater than $b

Regardless, why would you want such an operator? Again, the RFC addresses this - it's pretty much entirely to make it more convenient to write comparison functions for usort (and the similar uasort and uksort).

usort takes an array to sort as its first argument, and a user-defined comparison function as its second argument. It uses that comparison function to determine which of a pair of elements from the array is greater. The comparison function needs to return:

an integer less than, equal to, or greater than zero if the first argument is considered to be respectively less than, equal to, or greater than the second.

The spaceship operator makes this succinct and convenient:

Only specify your database name, then sort all the tables in descending order - from LARGEST to SMALLEST table inside selected database. Needs only 1 variable to be replaced = your database name.

The trouble looks like the image isn't square and the browser adjusts as such. After rotation ensure the dimensions are retained by changing the image margin.

When you use File or any of the other FileXxx variants, you are looking for a file on the file system relative to the "working directory". The working directory, can be described as this:

When you run from the command line

C:\EclipseWorkspace\ProjectRoot\bin > java com.mypackage.Hangman1

the working directory is C:\EclipseWorkspace\ProjectRoot\bin. With your IDE (at least all the ones I've worked with), the working directory is the ProjectRoot. So when the file is in the ProjectRoot, then using just the file name as the relative path is valid, because it is at the root of the working directory.

Similarly, if this was your project structure ProjectRoot\src\word.txt, then the path "src/word.txt" would be valid.

Why it May not Work

For one, the working directory could always change. For instance, running the code from the command line like in the example above, the working directory is the bin. So in this case it will fail, as there is not bin\word.txt

Secondly, if you were to export this project into a jar, and the file was configured to be included in the jar, it would also fail, as the path will no longer be valid either.

That being said, you need to determine if the file is to be an embedded-resource (or just "resource" - terms which sometimes I'll use interchangeably). If so, then you will want to build the file into the classpath, and access it via an URL. First thing you would need to do (in this particular) case is make sure that the file get built into the classpath. With the file in the project root, you must configure the build to include the file. But if you put the file in the src or in some directory below, then the default build should put it into the class path.

You can access classpath resource in a number of ways. You can make use of the Class class, which has getResourceXxx method, from which you use to obtain classpath resources.

For example, if you changed your project structure to ProjectRoot\src\resources\word.txt, you could use this:

BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(is));

getResourceAsStream returns an InputStream, but obtains an URL under the hood. Alternatively, you could get an URL if that's what you need. getResource() will return an URL

For Maven users, where the directory structure is like src/main/resources, the contents of the resources folder is put at the root of the classpath. So if you have a file in there, then you would only use getResourceAsStream("/thefile.txt")

myCars.TakeWhile(car => !myCondition(car)).Count();

It works! Think about it. The index of the first matching item equals the number of (not matching) item before it.

Story time

I too dislike the horrible standard solution you already suggested in your question. Like the accepted answer I went for a plain old loop although with a slight modification:

Note that it will return the number of items instead of -1 when there is no match. But let's ignore this minor annoyance for now. In fact the horrible standard solution crashes in that case and I consider returning an index that is out-of-bounds superior.

What happens now is ReSharper telling me Loop can be converted into LINQ-expression. While most of the time the feature worsens readability, this time the result was awe-inspiring. So Kudos to the JetBrains.

Analysis

Pros

• Concise
• Combinable with other LINQ
• Avoids newing anonymous objects
• Only evaluates the enumerable until the predicate matches for the first time

Therefore I consider it optimal in time and space while remaining readable.

Cons

• Not quite obvious at first
• Does not return -1 when there is no match

Of course you can always hide it behind an extension method. And what to do best when there is no match heavily depends on the context.

These are present by default as rownames when you create a data.frame.

and you can access them via the rownames command.

if you need them as numbers, simply coerce to numeric by adding as.numeric, as in as.numeric(rownames(df)).

You don't need to add them, as if you know what you are looking for (say item df$c == 'i', you can use the which command:

R> which(df$c =='i')
[1] 9

or if you don't know the column

R> which(df == 'i', arr.ind=T)
     row col
[1,]   9   3

you may access the element using df[9, 'c'], or df$c[9].

If you wanted to add them you could use df$rownumber <- as.numeric(rownames(df)), though this may be less robust than df$rownumber <- 1:nrow(df) as there are cases when you might have assigned to rownames so they will no longer be the default index numbers (the which command will continue to return index numbers even if you do assign to rownames).

There is only one reason when one needs to pass props to super():

When you want to access this.props in constructor.

Passing:

class MyComponent extends React.Component {    
    constructor(props) {
        super(props)

        console.log(this.props)
        // -> { icon: 'home', … }
    }
}

Not passing:

class MyComponent extends React.Component {    
    constructor(props) {
        super()

        console.log(this.props)
        // -> undefined

        // Props parameter is still available
        console.log(props)
        // -> { icon: 'home', … }
    }

    render() {
        // No difference outside constructor
        console.log(this.props)
        // -> { icon: 'home', … }
    }
}

Note that passing or not passing props to super has no effect on later uses of this.props outside constructor. That is render, shouldComponentUpdate, or event handlers always have access to it.

This is explicitly said in one Sophie Alpert's answer to a similar question.

The documentation—State and Lifecycle, Adding Local State to a Class, point 2—recommends:

Class components should always call the base constructor with props.

However, no reason is provided. We can speculate it is either because of subclassing or for future compatibility.

I cannot get case to work at all. Heres what I have:

rem the case action commands for now just to test the script. the above pidof -x command is returning '1', the case statement is returning the results for '0'.

Anyone have any idea where I'm going wrong?

Solved it by adding the following to my BIN/BASH Script: PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin

For me, it worked best to add this in image css: max-width:100%; and NOT specify image width and height in html parameters. This adjusted the width to fit in device screen while adjusting height automatically. Otherwise height might be distorted.

I have this problem just now, my best solution I can give to you right now (despite that you didn't include any of your code) would be:

1. Check how you name your destination folder, eg: new_folder (sometimes this can cause error for permission as most hosts don't allow names using underscore, dash, etc to be created at run time). It worked for me.

2. If you were using recursive command to create sub-folders don't forget to put 0755 (remember to include 0 at the start) to the mkdir command, eg:

This is also worked for me just now.
