Crystal Reports 13 And Asp.Net 3.5

I believe you are not the only one who has problems when trying to deploy Crystal Report for VS 2010. Based on the error message you had, have you checked:

  1. Please make sure you just have one CR version installed on your system. If you do have other CR version installed, consider to uninstall it so that your application is not "confused" about the CR version.

  2. You need to make sure you download the correct CR version. Since you are using VS 2010, you need to refer to CRforVS_redist_install_64bit_13_0_1.zip (for 64 bit machine) or CRforVS_redist_install_32bit_13_0_1.zip (for 32 bit machine). These two are the redistributable packages. You can download full package from the below link as well: CRforVS_13_0_1.exe Note: It is sometimes necessary to install 32bit CR runtime even on 64bit OS

  3. Make sure you setup FULL TRUST permission on your root folder

  4. The LOCAL SERVICE permission must be setup on your application pool

  5. Make sure the aspnet_client folder exists on your root folder.

If you can make sure all the 5 points above, your Crystal Report should work without any fuss.

Another important thing to note down here is that if you host your Crystal Report with a shared host, you need to check it with them of whether they really support Crystal Report. If you still have problems, you can switch to http://www.asphostcentral.com, who provides Crystal Report support.

Your example is not reproducible since there is no ex1221new (there is an ex1221 in Sleuth2, so I guess that is what you meant). Also, you don't need (and shouldn't) pull columns out to send to ggplot. One advantage is that ggplot works with data.frames directly.

You can set the labels with xlab() and ylab(), or make it part of the scale_*.* call.

Chrome hangs after certain amount of data transfered - waiting for available socket

The message:

Waiting for available socket...

is shown, because you've reached a limit on the ssl_socket_pool either per Host, Proxy or Group.

Here are the maximum number of HTTP connections which you can make with a Chrome browser:

  • The maximum number of connections per proxy is 32 connections. This can be changed in Policy List.
  • Maximum per Host: 6 connections.

    This is likely hardcoded in the source code of the web browser, so you can't change it.

  • Total 256 HTTP connections pooled per browser.

The above limits can be checked or flushed at chrome://net-internals/#sockets (or in real-time at chrome://net-internals/#events&q=type:SOCKET%20is:active).


Your issue with audio can be related to Chrome bug 162627 where HTML5 audio fails to load and it hits max simultaneous connections per server:proxy. This is still active issue at the time of writing (2016).

Much older issue related to HTML5 video request stay pending, then it's probably related to Issue #234779 which has been fixed 2014. And related to SPDY which can be found in Issue 324653: SPDY issue: waiting for available sockets, but this was already fixed in 2014, so probably it's not related.

Other related issue now marked as duplicate can be found in Issue 401845: Failure to preload audio metadata. Loaded only 6 of 10+ which was related to the problem with the media player code leaving a bunch of paused requests hanging around.


This also may be related to some Chrome adware or antivirus extensions using your sockets in the backgrounds (like Sophos or Kaspersky), so check for Network activity in DevTools.

You just concatenate the string and insert a CHAR(13) where you want your line break.

The value violated the integrity constraints for the column

I've found that this can happen due to a number of various reasons.

In my case when I scroll to the end of the SQL import "Report", under the "Post-execute (Success)" heading it will tell me how many rows were copied and it's usually the next row in sheet which has the issue. Also you can tell which column by the import messages (in your case it was "Copy of F2") so you can generally find out which was the offending cell in Excel.

I've seen this happen for very silly reasons such as the date format in Excel being different than previous rows. For example cell A2 being "05/02/2017" while A3 being "5/2/2017" or even "05-02-2017". It seems the import wants things to be perfectly consistent.

It even happens if the Excel formats are different so if B2 is "512" but an Excel "Number" format and B3 is "512" but an Excel "Text" format then the Cell will cause an error.

I've also had situations where I literally had to delete all the "empty" rows below my data rows in the Excel sheet. Sometimes they appear empty but Excel considers them having "blank" data or something like that so the import tries to import them as well. This usually happens if you've had previous data in your Excel sheet which you've cleared but haven't properly deleted the rows.

And then there's the obvious reasons of trying to import text value into an integer column or insert a NULL into a NOT NULL column as mentioned by the others.

Here is how to assign a keyboard shortcut to a custom macro in Word 2013. The scenario is you created a macro named "fred" and you want to execute the macro by typing Ctrl+f.

C pointers and arrays: [Warning] assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast

In this case a[4] is the 5th integer in the array a, ap is a pointer to integer, so you are assigning an integer to a pointer and that's the warning.
So ap now holds 45 and when you try to de-reference it (by doing *ap) you are trying to access a memory at address 45, which is an invalid address, so your program crashes.

You should do ap = &(a[4]); or ap = a + 4;

In c array names decays to pointer, so a points to the 1st element of the array.
In this way, a is equivalent to &(a[0]).

Now you'll be in the ras directory. Now it's time to create a temporary file with our connection info that we will then append onto the rasphone.pbk file that will allow us to use the rasdial command.

So to create our temp file run:

C:\Windows\System32\ras>copy con temp.txt

Now it will let you type the contents of the file, which should look like this:

[CONNECTION NAME]
MEDIA=rastapi
Port=VPN2-0
Device=WAN Miniport (IKEv2)

So replace CONNECTION NAME and vpn.server.address.com with the desired connection name and the vpn server address you want.

Make a new line and press Ctrl+Z to finish and save.

Now we will append this onto the rasphone.pbk file that may or may not exist depending on if you already have network connections configured or not. To do this we will run the following command:

C:\Windows\System32\ras>type temp.txt >> rasphone.pbk

This will append the contents of temp.txt to the end of rasphone.pbk, or if rasphone.pbk doesn't exist it will be created. Now we might as well delete our temp file:

C:\Windows\System32\ras>del temp.txt

Now we can connect to our newly configured VPN server with the following command:

C:\Windows\System32\ras>rasdial "CONNECTION NAME" myUsername myPassword

When we want to disconnect we can run:

C:\Windows\System32\ras>rasdial /DISCONNECT

Copying PostgreSQL database to another server

You don't need to create an intermediate file. You can do

pg_dump -C -h localhost -U localuser dbname | psql -h remotehost -U remoteuser dbname

or

pg_dump -C -h remotehost -U remoteuser dbname | psql -h localhost -U localuser dbname

using psql or pg_dump to connect to a remote host.

With a big database or a slow connection, dumping a file and transfering the file compressed may be faster.

As Kornel said there is no need to dump to a intermediate file, if you want to work compressed you can use a compressed tunnel

pg_dump -C dbname | bzip2 | ssh  remoteuser@remotehost "bunzip2 | psql dbname"

or

pg_dump -C dbname | ssh -C remoteuser@remotehost "psql dbname"

but this solution also requires to get a session in both ends.

If your'e evaluating an expression inside a for/while loop with a ternary operator, and want to continue or break as a result - you're gonna have a problem because both continue&break aren't expressions, they're statements without any value.

This will produce Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token continue

If you really want a one-liner that returns a statement, you can use this instead:

Android Studio - Emulator - eglSurfaceAttrib not implemented

I've found the same thing, but only on emulators that have the Use Host GPU setting ticked. Try turning that off, you'll no longer see those warnings (and the emulator will run horribly, horribly slowly..)

In my experience those warnings are harmless. Notice that the "error" is EGL_SUCCESS, which would seem to indicate no error at all!

The useage would, in your case, look like this:

Node.js - use of module.exports as a constructor

CommonJS modules allow two ways to define exported properties. In either case you are returning an Object/Function. Because functions are first class citizens in JavaScript they to can act just like Objects (technically they are Objects). That said your question about using the new keywords has a simple answer: Yes. I'll illustrate...

Module exports

You can either use the exports variable provided to attach properties to it. Once required in another module those assign properties become available. Or you can assign an object to the module.exports property. In either case what is returned by require() is a reference to the value of module.exports.

A pseudo-code example of how a module is defined:

In the example above module.exports and exports are the same object. Since you can attach a function directly to module.exports you can essentially return a function and like any function it could be managed as a constructor (That's in italics since the only difference between a function and a constructor in JavaScript is how you intend to use it. Then have smaller entities. Or, do not update fields individually, but instead have more coarse-grained interactions with the database.

IOW, there is nothing in Room itself that will do what you seek.

How can I get a value from a map?

The main problem is that operator [] is used to insert and read a value into and from the map, so it cannot be const. If the key does not exist, it will create a new entry with a default value in it, incrementing the size of the map, that will contain a new key with an empty string ,in this particular case, as a value if the key does not exist yet. You should avoid operator[] when reading from a map and use, as was mention before, "map.at(key)" to ensure bound checking. This is one of the most common mistakes people often do with maps. You want a check constraint.

CHECK constraints determine the valid values from a logical expression that is not based on data in another column. For example, the range of values for a salary column can be limited by creating a CHECK constraint that allows for only data that ranges from $15,000 through $100,000. This prevents salaries from being entered beyond the regular salary range.

You want something like:

Instead of adding the line breaks with nl2br() and then removing the line breaks with explode(), try using the line break character '\r' or '\n' or '\r\n'.

What causes a Python segmentation fault?

I was experiencing this segmentation fault after upgrading dlib on RPI. I tracebacked the stack as suggested by Shiplu Mokaddim above and it settled on an OpenBLAS library.

Since OpenBLAS is also multi-threaded, using it in a muilt-threaded application will exponentially multiply threads until segmentation fault. For multi-threaded applications, set OpenBlas to single thread mode.

In python virtual environment, tell OpenBLAS to only use a single thread by editing:

    $ workon <myenv>
    $ nano .virtualenv/<myenv>/bin/postactivate

and add:

    export OPENBLAS_NUM_THREADS=1 
    export OPENBLAS_MAIN_FREE=1

After reboot I was able to run all my image recognition apps on rpi3b which were previously crashing it.

What does git rev-parse do?

git rev-parse is an ancillary plumbing command primarily used for manipulation.

One common usage of git rev-parse is to print the SHA1 hashes given a revision specifier. In addition, it has various options to format this output such as --short for printing a shorter unique SHA1.

There are other use cases as well (in scripts and other tools built on top of git) that I've used for:

  • --verify to verify that the specified object is a valid git object.
  • --git-dir for displaying the abs/relative path of the the .git directory.
  • Checking if you're currently within a repository using --is-inside-git-dir or within a work-tree using --is-inside-work-tree
  • Checking if the repo is a bare using --is-bare-repository

Massage just implies that it is possible to convert the info from one form into another i.e. a transformation command. These are some quick examples I can think of:

  • a branch or tag name into the commit's SHA1 it is pointing to so that it can be passed to a plumbing command which only accepts SHA1 values for the commit.
  • a revision range A..B for git log or git diff into the equivalent arguments for the underlying plumbing command as B ^A

Here's what I did: I created a matrix with two columns (because your data were in columns) where the columns were the species counts for Decline and for Improved. Then I made those categories the column names. I also made the Reasons the row names. The barplot() function can operate over this matrix, but wants the data in rows rather than columns, so I fed it a transposed version of the matrix. Lastly, I deleted some of your arguments to your barplot() function call that were no longer needed. In other words, the problem was that your data weren't set up the way barplot() wants for your intended output.

Javascript window.print() in chrome, closing new window or tab instead of cancelling print leaves javascript blocked in parent window

The problem is that there is an in-browser print dialogue within the popup window. If you call window.close() immediately then the dialogue is not seen by the user. The user needs to click "Print" within the dialogue. This is not the same as on other browsers where the print dialogue is part of the OS, and blocks the window.close() until dismissed - on Chrome, it's part of Chrome, not the OS.

This is the code I used, in a little popup window that is created by the parent window:

to set Binding you have to set Path with string, and with nameof keyword, it's possible to use Refactor option.

For example, if you have IsEnable dependency property in your UserControl and you want to bind it to IsEnable of some CheckBox in your UserControl, you can use these two codes:

The difference between .dylib and .so on mac os x is how they are compiled. For .so files you use -shared and for .dylib you use -dynamiclib. The reason the two are equivalent on Mac OS X is for backwards compatibility with other UNIX OS programs that compile to the .so file type.

Compilation notes: whether you compile a .so file or a .dylib file you need to insert the correct path into the dynamic library during the linking step. You do this by adding -install_name and the file path to the linking command. If you dont do this you will run into the problem seen in this post: Mac Dynamic Library Craziness (May be Fortran Only).

I also faced the same problem in the ReactJS application in Production mode. Here is the 2 solution to the problem.

1.Change the routing history to "hashHistory" instead of browserHistory in the place of

Try this - click on the name of your project on the list of files/folders on the left in Xcode (at the very top of the list). Look at the "Targets" section on the left-hand side of the window to the right. Likely, there's two listed with the second being a "test" item. Right-click on that item and select "delete". Then try to run the project again.

Better way to convert file sizes in Python

Here is my implementation:

It will print up to three decimals and it strips trailing zeros and periods. The boolean parameter si will toggle usage of 10-based vs. 2-based size magnitude.

This is its counterpart. It allows to write clean configuration files like {'maximum_filesize': from_filesize('10M'). It returns an integer that approximates the intended filesize. I am not using bit shifting because the source value is a floating point number (it will accept from_filesize('2.15M') just fine). Converting it to an integer/decimal would work but makes the code more complicated and it already works as it is.

PostgreSQL: Resetting password of PostgreSQL on Ubuntu

Assuming you're the administrator of the machine, Ubuntu has granted you the right to sudo to run any command as any user.
Also assuming you did not restrict the rights in the pg_hba.conf file (in the /etc/postgresql/9.1/main directory), it should contain this line as the first rule:

(About the file location: 9.1 is the major postgres version and main the name of your "cluster". It will differ if using a newer version of postgres or non-default names. Use the pg_lsclusters command to obtain this information for your version/system).

Anyway, if the pg_hba.conf file does not have that line, edit the file, add it, and reload the service with sudo service postgresql reload.

Then you should be able to log in with psql as the postgres superuser with this shell command:

sudo -u postgres psql

Once inside psql, issue the SQL command:

ALTER USER postgres PASSWORD 'newpassword';

In this command, postgres is the name of a superuser. If the user whose password is forgotten was ritesh, the command would be:

ALTER USER ritesh PASSWORD 'newpassword';

If leaving the password in clear text in the history of commands or the server log is a problem, psql provides an interactive meta-command to avoid that, as an alternative to ALTER USER ... PASSWORD:

It asks for the password with a double blind input, then hashes it according to the password_encryption setting and issue the ALTER USER command to the server with the hashed version of the password, instead of the clear text version.

We can do it nicely using Interceptors. You dont have to set options in all your services neither manage all your error responses, just define 2 interceptors (one to do something before sending the request to server and one to do something before sending the server's response to your service)

  1. Define an AuthInterceptor class to do something before sending the request to the server. You can set the api token (retrieve it from localStorage, see step 4) and other options in this class.
  2. Define an responseInterceptor class to do something before sending the server response to your service (httpClient). You can manage your server response, the most comon use is to check if the user's token is valid (if not clear token from localStorage and redirect to login).
  3. In your app.module import HTTP_INTERCEPTORS from '@angular/common/http'. Then add to your providers the interceptors (AuthInterceptor and responseInterceptor). Doing this your app will consider the interceptors in all our httpClient calls.

  4. At login http response (use http service), save the token at localStorage.

  5. Then use httpClient for all your apirest services.

Giving my function access to outside variable

By default, when you are inside a function, you do not have access to the outer variables.


If you want your function to have access to an outer variable, you have to declare it as global, inside the function :

But note that using global variables is not a good practice : with this, your function is not independant anymore.


A better idea would be to make your function return the result :

  • And it's better practice than using a global variable : your function is a unit, independant of any external code.

Image library for Python 3

As of March 30, 2012, I have tried and failed to get the sloonz fork on GitHub to open images. I got it to compile ok, but it didn't actually work. I also tried building gohlke's library, and it compiled also but failed to open any images. Someone mentioned PythonMagick above, but it only compiles on Windows. See PythonMagick on the wxPython wiki.

PIL was last updated in 2009, and while it's website says they are working on a Python 3 port, it's been 3 years, and the mailing list has gone cold.

To solve my Python 3 image manipulation problem, I am using subprocess.call() to execute ImageMagick shell commands. This method works.

Example showing why foo(_) and foo _ are different:

This example comes from 0__:

In the first case, process _ represents a method; Scala takes the polymorphic method and attempts to make it monomorphic by filling in the type parameter, but realizes that there is no type that can be filled in for A that will give the type (_ => Unit) => ? (Existential _ is not a type).

In the second case, process(_) is a lambda; when writing a lambda with no explicit argument type, Scala infers the type from the argument that foreach expects, and _ => Unit is a type (whereas just plain _ isn't), so it can be substituted and inferred.

This may well be the trickiest gotcha in Scala I have ever encountered.

Note that this example compiles in 2.13. Ignore it like it was assigned to underscore.

CSS Div Background Image Fixed Height 100% Width

It sounds like you want a background-image to keep it's own aspect ratio while expanding to 100% width and getting cropped off on the top and bottom. If that's the case, do something like this:

The problem with this approach is that you have the container elements at a fixed height, so there can be space below if the screen is small enough.

If you want the height to keep the image's aspect ratio, you'll have to do something like what I wrote in an edit to the answer I linked to above. Set the container's height to 0 and set the padding-bottom to the percentage of the width:

DTO - Data transfer objects are just data containers which are used to transport data between layers and tiers.

  • It mainly contains attributes. You can even use public attributes without getters and setters.
  • Data transfer objects do not contain any business logic.

Analogy:
Simple Registration form with attributes username, password and email id.

  • When this form is submitted in RegistrationServlet file you will get all the attributes from view layer to business layer where you pass the attributes to java beans and then to the DAO or the persistence layer.
  • DTO's helps in transporting the attributes from view layer to business layer and finally to the persistence layer.

DTO was mainly used to get data transported across the network efficiently, it may be even from JVM to another JVM.

DTOs are often java.io.Serializable - in order to transfer data across JVM.

VO - A Value Object [1][2] represents itself a fixed set of data and is similar to a Java enum. A Value Object's identity is based on their state rather than on their object identity and is immutable. A real world example would be Color.RED, Color.BLUE, SEX.FEMALE etc.

POJO vs JavaBeans

You are incorrectly using the super and this keyword. Here is an example of how they work:

Explanation:

  1. The first log outputs super.name, this refers to the prototype chain of the object tom, not the object tom self. Because we have added a name property on the Animal.prototype, horseee will be outputted.
  2. The second log outputs this.name, the this keyword refers to the the tom object itself.
  3. The third log is logged using the move method of the Animal base class. This method is called from Horse class move method with the syntax super.move(45);. Using the super keyword in this context will look for a move method on the prototype chain which is found on the Animal prototype.

Remember TS still uses prototypes under the hood and the class and extends keywords are just syntactic sugar over prototypical inheritance.

How to create a temporary table in SSIS control flow task and then use it in data flow task?

Solution:

Set the property RetainSameConnection on the Connection Manager to True so that temporary table created in one Control Flow task can be retained in another task.

Click the OLE DB Source on Data Flow tab and press F4 to view Properties. Set the property ValidateExternalMetadata to False so that SSIS would not try to check for the existence of the temporary table during validation phase of the package execution.

Both --assume-unchanged and --skip-worktree are NOT A CORRECT WAY to ignore files locally... Kindly check this answer and the notes in the documentation of git update-index. Files that for any reason keep changing frequently (and/or change from a clone to another) and their changes should not be committed, then these files SHOULD NOT be tracked in the first place.

However, the are two proper ways to ignore files locally (both work with untracked files). Either to put files names in .git/info/exclude file which is the local alternative of .gitignore but specific to the current clone. Or to use a global .gitignore (which should be properly used only for common auxiliary files e.g. pyz, pycache, etc) and the file will be ignored in any git repo in your machine.

To make the above as kind of automated (adding to exclude or global .gitignore), you can use the following commands (add to your bash-profile):

  • Per clone local exclude (Note that you should be in the root of the repository when calling the command because of using the relative path), change ##FILE-NAME## to .git/info/exclude

I actually just tried this with a couple of my repos and it works. Unlike Jörg's answer it won't let you continue to use the other repo, but I don't think you specified that anyway.

Note: Since this was originally written in 2009, git has added the subtree merge mentioned in the answer below. I would probably use that method today, although of course this method does still work.

Defining and using a variable in batch file

The spaces are significant. You created a variable named 'location ' with a value of
' "bob"'. Note - enclosing single quotes were added to show location of space.

If you want quotes in your value, then your code should look like

The last syntax prevents inadvertent trailing spaces from getting in the value, and also protects against special characters like & | etc.

If you don't have the option to delete the already existing file in the new location, but still need to move and delete from the original location, this renaming trick might work:

Running sites on "localhost" is extremely slow

I had same issues, edited my hosts file 127.0.0.1 localhost, but noticed no difference.

I then disabled Compression in the IIS panel and applied, and problem appears to now be resolved.

IIS Manager > Compression > Uncheck 'Enable dynamic content compression' and uncheck 'Enable static content compression'. Then 'Apply'.

Eclipse Problems View not showing Errors anymore

If you have reached here that means all the other solutions did not work for you. One reason could be your source folder is not a java project.

Solution would be to run below command on the source folder

mvn eclipse:eclipse

This worked for me.

If this also doesn't work then try removing .classpath and .project file and run the above command again

How to execute python file in linux

If you have python 3 installed then add this line to the top of the file:

 #!/usr/bin/env python3

You should also check the file have the right to be execute. chmod +x file.py

What is Python used for?

Python is a dynamic, strongly typed, object oriented, multipurpose programming language, designed to be quick (to learn, to use, and to understand), and to enforce a clean and uniform syntax.

  1. Python is dynamically typed: it means that you don't declare a type (e.g. 'integer') for a variable name, and then assign something of that type (and only that type). Instead, you have variable names, and you bind them to entities whose type stays with the entity itself. a = 5 makes the variable name a to refer to the integer 5. Later, a = "hello" makes the variable name a to refer to a string containing "hello". Static typed languages would have you declare int a and then a = 5, but assigning a = "hello" would have been a compile time error. On one hand, this makes everything more unpredictable (you don't know what a refers to). On the other hand, it makes very easy to achieve some results a static typed languages makes very difficult.
  2. Python is strongly typed. It means that if a = "5" (the string whose value is '5') will remain a string, and never coerced to a number if the context requires so. Every type conversion in python must be done explicitly. This is different from, for example, Perl or Javascript, where you have weak typing, and can write things like "hello" + 5 to get "hello5".
  3. Python is object oriented, with class-based inheritance. Everything is an object (including classes, functions, modules, etc), in the sense that they can be passed around as arguments, have methods and attributes, and so on.
  4. Python is multipurpose: it is not specialised to a specific target of users (like R for statistics, or PHP for web programming). It is extended through modules and libraries, that hook very easily into the C programming language.
  5. Python enforces correct indentation of the code by making the indentation part of the syntax. There are no control braces in Python. Blocks of code are identified by the level of indentation. Although a big turn off for many programmers not used to this, it is precious as it gives a very uniform style and results in code that is visually pleasant to read.
  6. The code is compiled into byte code and then executed in a virtual machine. This means that precompiled code is portable between platforms.

Python can be used for any programming task, from GUI programming to web programming with everything else in between. It's quite efficient, as much of its activity is done at the C level. Python is just a layer on top of C. There are libraries for everything you can think of: game programming and openGL, GUI interfaces, web frameworks, semantic web, scientific computing...

Convert SVG to image (JPEG, PNG, etc.) in the browser

There are several ways to convert SVG to PNG using the Canvg library.

In my case, I needed to get the PNG blob from inline SVG.

The library documentation provides an example (see OffscreenCanvas example).

But this method does not work at the moment in Firefox. Yes, you can enable the gfx.offscreencanvas.enabled option in the settings. But will every user on the site do this? :)

However, there is another way that will work in Firefox too.

MySQL Server has gone away when importing large sql file

If you are running with default values then you have a lot of room to optimize your mysql configuration.

The first step I recommend is to increase the max_allowed_packet to 128M.

Then download the MySQL Tuning Primer script and run it. It will provide recommendations to several facets of your config for better performance.

Also look into adjusting your timeout values both in MySQL and PHP.
