Apps targeting Android Q - API 29 by default are given a filtered view into external storage. A quick fix for that is to add this code in the AndroidManifest.xml:

A color value has more than one dimension, so there is no intrinsic way to compare two colors. You have to determine for your use case the meaning of the colors and thereby how to best compare them.

Most likely you want to compare the hue, saturation and/or lightness properties of the colors as oppposed to the red/green/blue components. If you are having trouble figuring out how you want to compare them, take some pairs of sample colors and compare them mentally, then try to justify/explain to yourself why they are similar/different.

Once you know which properties/components of the colors you want to compare, then you need to figure out how to extract that information from a color.

Most likely you will just need to convert the color from the common RedGreenBlue representation to HueSaturationLightness, and then calculate something like

avghue = (color1.hue + color2.hue)/2
distance = abs(color1.hue-avghue)

This example would give you a simple scalar value indicating how far the gradient/hue of the colors are from each other.

You want to iterate through the list, sum all the numbers, and then divide the sum by the number of elements in the list. You can use a for loop to accomplish this.

average = 0
sum = 0    
for n in numbers:
    sum = sum + n
average = sum / len(numbers)

The for loop looks at each element in the list, and then adds it to the current sum. You then divide by the length of the list (or the number of elements in the list) to find the average.

I would recommend googling a python reference to find out how to use common programming concepts like loops and conditionals so that you feel comfortable when starting out. There are lots of great resources online that you could look up.

If possible, you may want to use IPython.

To get a list of all current user-defined variables, IPython provides a magic command named who (magics must be prefixed with the modulo character unless the automagic feature is enabled):

You can use the whos magic to get more detail:

There are a wealth of other magics available. IPython is basically the Python interpreter on steroids. One convenient magic is store, which lets you save variables between sessions (using pickle).

Why not try some of the third party tools that can be integrated into SSMS.

I’ve worked with ApexSQL Search (100% free) with good success for both schema and data search and there is also SSMS tools pack that has this feature (not free for SQL 2012 but quite affordable).

Stored procedure above is really great; it’s just that this is way more convenient in my opinion. Also, it would require some slight modifications if you want to search for datetime columns or GUID columns and such…

Trying to think in tableless design does not mean that you can not use tables :)

It is only that you can think of it that tabular data can be presented in a table, and that other elements (mostly div's) are used to create the layout of the page.

So I should say that you have to read some information on styling with div-elements, or use this page as a good example page!

You can create a class in Typescript as follows:

It might be a bit messy, but sometimes you just don't need to access self, but you would prefer to keep the method in the class and not make it static. Or you just want to avoid adding a bunch of unsightly decorators. Here are some potential workarounds for that situation.

If your method only has side effects and you don't care about what it returns:

If you do need the return value:

Now your method is using self, and the warning goes away!

I had the same problem on ios7. I called it in selector and it worked on both ios7 and ios8.

You may also insert the day in the calculation so the method also works when the delay interval pass over midnight.

require.paths is deprecated.

This can't be done with random(...), and if you're generating the random(...) numbers for ML related things, most of the time, you'll end up using .uniform(...)

In my case I had the same issue on running from eclipse. Just did the following to resolve it: Right Click the Project --> Mavan --> Update Project.

And it worked!

int *pointer[280]; //Creates 280 pointers of type int.

In 32 bit os, 4 bytes for each pointer. so 4 * 280 = 1120 bytes.

int (*pointer)[100][280]; // Creates only one pointer which is used to point an array of [100][280] ints.

Here only 4 bytes.

Coming to your question, int (*pointer)[280]; and int (*pointer)[100][280]; are different though it points to same 2D array of [100][280].

Because if int (*pointer)[280]; is incremented, then it will points to next 1D array, but where as int (*pointer)[100][280]; crosses the whole 2D array and points to next byte. Accessing that byte may cause problem if that memory doen't belongs to your process.

You just need to run query

Unlike languages that employ 'true' lexical scoping, Python opts to have specific 'namespaces' for variables, whether it be global, nonlocal, or local. It could be argued that making developers consciously code with such namespaces in mind is more explicit, thus more understandable. I would argue that such complexities make the language more unwieldy, but I guess it's all down to personal preference.

Here are some examples regarding global:-

The same patterns can be applied to nonlocal variables too, but this keyword is only available to the latter Python versions.

In case you're wondering, nonlocal is used where a variable isn't global, but isn't within the function definition it's being used. For example, a def within a def, which is a common occurrence partially due to a lack of multi-statement lambdas. There's a hack to bypass the lack of this feature in the earlier Pythons though, I vaguely remember it involving the use of a single-element list...

Note that writing to variables is where these keywords are needed. Just reading from them isn't ambiguous, thus not needed. Unless you have inner defs using the same variable names as the outer ones, which just should just be avoided to be honest.

You must specify that the friend is a template function:

The sane way to do this is to use zip() and a List Comprehension / Generator Expression:

If an initial value is supplied to reduce then sometimes its type must be specified, viz:-

a.reduce(fn, [])

may have to be

a.reduce<string[]>(fn, [])

or

I'd like to give a small addition to the existing answers. You get the same "Unclosed Character Literal error", if you give value to a char with incorrect unicode form. Like when you write:

char HI = '\3072';

You have to use the correct form which is:

char HI = '\u3072';

Some great news! Since version 3.6 the cPython implementation has preserved the insertion order of dictionaries (https://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-dev/2016-September/146327.html). This means that the json library is now order preserving by default. Observe the difference in behaviour between python 3.5 and 3.6. The code:

I'd like to suggest a yet-unmentioned solution: use CSS3's calc() to mix % and px units. calc() has excellent support nowadays, and it allows for fast construction of quite complex layouts.

For non-printable keys such as arrow keys and shortcut keys such as Ctrl-z, Ctrl-x, Ctrl-c that may trigger some action in the browser (for instance, inside editable documents or elements), you may not get a keypress event in all browsers. For this reason you have to use keydown instead, if you're interested in suppressing the browser's default action. If not, keyup will do just as well.

Attaching a keydown event to document works in all the major browsers:

It's not an official term. For easy CSV access, there is a library called OpenCSV. It really ease access to CSV file content.

By using the CsvJdbc driver, you can load your CSV files as JDBC data source, and then directly map your beans to this datasource.

However if you pass 201308131830 as a number it is 50 to 100x larger than can be represented by a 32-bit integer. [dependent on your system's specific implementation] If your server/PHP version does not support 64-bit integers then the number will overflow and probably end up being output as a negative number and date() will default to Jan 1, 1970 00:00:00 GMT.

Make sure whatever source you are retrieving this data from returns that date as a string, and keep it as a string.

Note that there are other ways of achieving data consistency that #pragma pack offers (for instance some people use #pragma pack(1) for structures that should be sent across the network). For instance, see the following code and its subsequent output:

Notice how the size of struct a is exactly what the byte count is, but struct b has padding added (see this for details on the padding). By doing this as opposed to the #pragma pack you can have control of converting the "wire format" into the appropriate types. For instance, "char two[2]" into a "short int" et cetera.

If you want to check on the object itself without interfering with the prototype, use hasOwnProperty():

One way is to use a Boolean series to index the column df['one']. This gives you a new column where the True entries have the same value as the same row as df['one'] and the False values are NaN.

EDIT: It is very clear that this is a non-desired way as pointed out below (I had it coming). So in essence, this is how you would do it in plain old javascript. Most people would suggest you to use jQuery (other answer has the jQuery version) for good reason.

Use a forward declaration in the header file if needed, and #import the header files for any classes you're using in the implementation. In other words, you always #import the files you're using in your implementation, and if you need to reference a class in your header file use a forward declaration as well.

I have used the following for "formatting" the database on device after I have changed the structure of the database in assets. I simply uncomment the line in MainActivity when I wanted that the database is read from the assets again. When appending only once or once every now and again, using np.append on your array should be fine. The drawback of this approach is that memory is allocated for a completely new array every time it is called. When growing an array for a significant amount of samples it would be better to either pre-allocate the array (if the total size is known) or to append to a list and convert to an array afterward.

Comments:

1. I assume, that there is exactly one form element, that can be either a textarea, input field, select form, a set of radio buttons or a single checkbox (you will have to update my code if you need more checkboxes).

I was wondering how to do this myself; it seems Gmail has since silently implemented this feature. I created the following filter:

One of the ways to get around login issues with ssh, scp, and sftp (all use the same protocol and sshd server) is to create public/private key pairings.

Some servers may disallow this, but most sites don't. These directions are for Unix/Linux/Mac. As always, Windows is a wee bit different although the cygwin environment on Windows does follow these steps.

• On your machine, create your public/private key using ssh-keygen. This can vary from system to system, but the program should lead you through this.
• When ssh-keygen is finished, you will have a $HOME/.ssh directory on your machine. This directory will contain a public key and a private key. There will be two more files that are generated as you go along. One is known_hosts which contains the fingerprints of all known hosts you've logged into. The second will be called either authorized_keys or authorized_keys2 depending upon your implementation.
• If it's not there already, log into the remote host, and run ssh-keygen there too. This will generate a $HOME/.ssh directory there as well as a private/public key pair. Don't do this if the $HOME/.ssh directory already exists and has a public and private key file. You don't want to regenerate it.
• On the remote server in the $HOME/.ssh directory, create a file called authorized_keys. In this file, put your public key. This public key is found on your $HOME/.ssh directory on your local machine. It will end with *.pub. Paste the contents of that into authorized_keys. If authorized_keys already exists, paste your public key in the next line.

Now, when you log in using ssh, or you use scp or sftp, you will not be required to enter a password. By the way, the user IDs on the two machines do not have to agree. I've logged into many remote servers as a different user and setup my public key in authorized_keys and have no problems logging directly into that user.

Doing Private Public Key Authentication on Windows

If you use Windows, you will need something that can do ssh. Most people I know use PuTTY which can generate public/private keys, and do the key pairing when you login remotely. I can't remember all of the steps, but you generate two files (one contains the public key, one contains the private key), and configure PuTTY to use both of those when logging into a remote site. If that remote site is Linux/Unix/Mac, you can copy your public key and put it into the authorized_keys file.

If you can use SSH Public/Private keys, you can eliminate the need for passwords in your scripts. Otherwise, you will have to use something like Expect or Perl with Net::SSH which can watch the remote host and enter the password when prompted.

A lot of the answers here go the "use a framework" route. There's zero wrong with that. However I don't think it really answers your question, because frameworks may or may not use JSPs, nor are they designed in any way with removing java use in JSPs as a primary goal.

The only good answer to your question "how do I avoid using Java in a JSP" is: you can't.

That's what JSPs are for - using Java to render HTML with dynamic data/logic. The follow up question might be, how much java should I use in my JSPs.
Before we answer that question, you should also ponder, "do I need to use JSPs to build web content using Java?" The answer to that last one is, no. There are many alternatives to JSPs for developing web facing applications using Java. Struts for example does not force you to use JSPs - don't get me wrong, you can use them and many implementations do, but you don't absolutely have to. Struts doesn't even force you to use any HTML. A JSP doesn't either, but let's be honest, a JSP producing no HTML is kinda weird. Servlets, famously, allow you to serve any kind of content you like over HTTP dynamically. They are the primary tech behind pretty much everything java web - JSPs are just HTML templates for servlets, really.
So the answer to how much java you should put in a JSP is, "as little as possible". I of course have java in my JSPs, but it consists exclusively of tag library definitions, session and client variables, and beans encapsulating server side objects. The <%%> tags in my HTML are almost exclusively property calls or variable expressions. Rare exceptions include ultra-specific calculations pertaining to a single page and unlikely to ever be reused; bugfixes stemming from page-specific issues only applying to one page; last minute concatenations and arithmetic stemming from unusual requirements limited in scope to a single page; and other similar cases. In a code set of 1.5 million lines, 3000 JSPs and 5000 classes, there are maybe 100 instances of such unique snippets. It would have been quite possible to make these changes in classes or tag library definitions, but it would have been inordinately complex due to the specificity of each case, taken longer to write and debug, and taken more time as a result to get to my users. It's a judgement call. But make no mistake, you cannot write JSPs of any meaning with "no java" nor would you want to. The capability is there for a reason.

Based on your description of what you want to do, the code seems to be correct as it is. ENDIF isn't a valid SQL loop control keyword. Are you sure that the INSERTS are actually pulling data to put into @Classes? In fact, if it was bad it just wouldn't run.

What you might want to try is to put a few PRINT statements in there. Put a PRINT above each of the INSERTS just outputting some silly text to show that that line is executing. If you get both outputs, then your SELECT...INSERT... is suspect. You could also just do the SELECT in place of the PRINT (that is, without the INSERT) and see exactly what data is being pulled.

A simple bit of jQuery solved this problem for me.

in the V2.0 it's not possible. The iframe blocks all styling out of this. It's difficult to add a custom theme instead of the dark or light one.

Transact-SQL is a bit more tricky that C# or C++ try/catch blocks, because of the added complexity of transactions. A CATCH block has to check the xact_state() function and decide whether it can commit or has to rollback. As complement to Mark's answer, the compile function does not have access to scope, but the link function does.

What you're describing is known as flattening a list, and with this new knowledge you'll be able to find many solutions to this on Google (there is no built-in flatten method). Here is one of them, from http://www.daniel-lemire.com/blog/archives/2006/05/10/flattening-lists-in-python/:

Your problem has nothing to do with encodings, it's a simple matter of understanding basic C++. You are returning a pointer to a local variable from your function, which will have gone out of scope by the time anyone can use it, thus creating undefined behaviour (i.e. a programming error).

Follow this Golden Rule: "If you are using naked char pointers, you're Doing It Wrong. (Except for when you aren't.)"

The solution accepted will change the height of the TableViewCell. To fix that, perform following steps:

Update 11-May-16

There have been many updates to chrome since I posted this and have had to alter the script alot to keep it working as I needed.

Couple of issues with newer versions of chrome:

• built in pinch to zoom
• Chrome restore error always showing after forced shutdown
• auto update popup

Because of the restore error switched out to incognito mode as this launches a clear version all the time and does not save what the user was viewing and so if it crashes there is nothing to restore. Also the auto up in newer versions of chrome being a pain to try and disable I switched out to use chromium as it does not auto update and still gives all the modern features of chrome. Note make sure you download the top version of chromium this comes with all audio and video codecs as the basic version of chromium does not support all codecs.

I use this for exhibitions to lock down screens. I think its what your looking for.

• Start chrome and go to www.google.com drag and drop the url out onto the desktop
• rename it to something handy for this example google_homepage
• drop this now into your c directory, click on my computer c: and drop this file in there
• start chrome again go to settings and under on start up select open a specific page and set your home page here.

Next part is the script that I use to start close and restart chrome again in kiosk mode. The locations is where I have chrome installed so it might be abit different for you depending on your install.

Open your text editor of choice or just notepad and past the below code in, make sure its in the same format/order as below. Save it to your desktop as what ever you like so for this example chrome_startup_script.txt next right click it and rename, remove the txt from the end and put in bat instead. double click this to launch the script to see if its working correctly.

A command line box should appear and run through the script, chrome will start and then close down the reason to do this is to remove any error reports such as if the pc crashed, when chrome starts again without this it would show the yellow error bar at the top saying chrome did not shut down properly would you like to restore it. After a few seconds chrome should start again and in kiosk mode and will point to what ever homepage you have set.

With recent versions of chrome they have really got into enabling touch gestures, this means that swiping left or right on a touchscreen will cause the browser to go forward or backward in history. To prevent this we need to disable the history navigation on the back and forward buttons to do that add the following --overscroll-history-navigation=0 to the end of the script.

So here, what am doing is, adding up the height of elements and than deducting from 100% using calc() function.

Just make sure that you use height: 100%; for the parent elements.

Run your program with valgrind of linked to efence. That will tell you where the pointer is being dereferenced and most likely fix your problem if you fix all the errors they tell you about.

Short Answer:

• npm install honors package-lock.json only if it satisfies the requirements of package.json.
• If it doesn't satisfy those requirements, packages are updated & package-lock is overwritten.
• If you want the install to fail instead of overwriting package-lock when this happens, use npm ci.

Here is a scenario that might explain things (Verified with NPM 6.3.0)

You declare a dependency in package.json like:

Then you do, npm install which will generate a package-lock.json with:

"depA": "1.0.0"

Few days later, a newer minor version of "depA" is released, say "1.1.0", then the following holds true:

In your situation I think your partner is correct. What's nice about rebasing is that to the outsider your changes look like they all happened in a clean sequence all by themselves. This means

• your changes are very easy to review
• you can continue to make nice, small commits and yet you can make sets of those commits public (by merging into master) all at once
• when you look at the public master branch you'll see different series of commits for different features by different developers but they won't all be intermixed

You can still continue to push your private development branch to the remote repository for the sake of backup but others should not treat that as a "public" branch since you'll be rebasing. BTW, an easy command for doing this is git push --mirror origin .

The article Packaging software using Git does a fairly nice job explaining the trade offs in merging versus rebasing. It's a little different context but the principals are the same -- it basically comes down to whether your branches are public or private and how you plan to integrate them into the mainline.

This assumes you know the position of the element in the ListView :

In my case I had to make a POST request, which had information sent through the header, and also a file sent using a FormData object.

I made it work using a combination of some of the answers here, so basically what ended up working was having this five lines in my Ajax request:

A short function I wrote a while back to pack a wchar_t array into a char array. Characters that aren't on the ANSI code page (0-127) are replaced by '?' characters, and it handles surrogate pairs correctly.

That is millions of cells, in which case there is no way a search and replace would be able to handle it memory-wise (correct me if I am wrong).

In the case I am right and you don't want millions of "null" cells, then here is a macro. It asks you to select the range then put "null" inside every cell that was blank.

Up through C++03, your first example was valid, but used a deprecated implicit conversion--a string literal should be treated as being of type char const *, since you can't modify its contents (without causing undefined behavior).

As of C++11, the implicit conversion that had been deprecated was officially removed, so code that depends on it (like your first example) should no longer compile.

You've noted one way to allow the code to compile: although the implicit conversion has been removed, an explicit conversion still works, so you can add a cast. I would not, however, consider this "fixing" the code.

Truly fixing the code requires changing the type of the pointer to the correct type:

char const *p = "abc"; // valid and safe in either C or C++.

As to why it was allowed in C++ (and still is in C): simply because there's a lot of existing code that depends on that implicit conversion, and breaking that code (at least without some official warning) apparently seemed to the standard committees like a bad idea.

You have set a fixed width and height in your svg tag. This is probably the root of your problem. Try not removing those and set the width and height (if needed) using CSS instead.

I ended up overriding Fragment.onResume() and grabbing the attributes from the underlying dialog, then setting width/height params there. I set the outermost layout height/width to match_parent. Note that this code seems to respect the margins I defined in the xml layout as well.

To start with, I'd use double.Parse rather than Convert.ToDouble in the first place.

As to whether you should use Parse or TryParse: can you proceed if there's bad input data, or is that a really exceptional condition? If it's exceptional, use Parse and let it blow up if the input is bad. If it's expected and can be cleanly handled, use TryParse.

You can use numpy.recfromcsv(filename): the types of each column will be automatically determined (as if you use np.genfromtxt() with dtype=None), and by default delimiter=",". It's basically a shortcut for np.genfromtxt(filename, delimiter=",", dtype=None) that Pierre GM pointed at in his answer.

For the benefit of anyone else reading this question that really is missing print statements from their output, there actually are cases where the print executes but is not returned to the client. I can't tell you specifically what they are. I can tell you that if put a go statement immediately before and after any print statement, you will see it if it is executed.

You're doing it the right way. Class methods (similar to 'static' methods in C++ or Java) aren't part of the instance, so they have to be referenced directly.

On that note, in your example you'd be better served making 'default_make' a regular method:

My problem was not related to skype as i didn't had it installed. The solution I found was that 2 .dll files(msvcp110.dll, msvcr110.dll) were missing from the directory :

So I copied these 2 files to all these locations just in case and restarted wamp it worked

I was creating a form in which the user enters an email address used by another macro to email a specific cell group to the address entered. In addition to erickson's suggestions, there's also jna, which allows you to call native libraries without using jni. It's shockingly easy to use, and I've used it on a couple of projects with great success.

XLS is a binary proprietary format used by Microsoft. Parsing XLS with server side languages is very difficult without using some specific library or Office Interop. Doing this with javascript is mission impossible. Thanks to the HTML5 File API you can read its binary contents but in order to parse and interpret it you will need to dive into the specifications of the XLS format. Starting from Office 2007, Microsoft embraced the Open XML file formats (xslx for Excel) which is a standard.

What is NP?

What is NP-Complete?

One problem remains: Where should you store the password that you use to encrypt the passwords? You can store it in the source file and obfuscate it, but it's not too hard to find it again. Alternatively, you can give it as a system property when you start the Java process (-DpropertyProtectionPassword=...).

The same issue remains if you use the KeyStore, which also is protected by a password. Basically, you will need to have one master password somewhere, and it's pretty hard to protect.

Arrays have numerical indexes. So,

a = new Array();
a['a1']='foo';
a['a2']='bar';

and

b = new Array(2);
b['b1']='foo';
b['b2']='bar';

are not adding elements to the array, but adding .a1 and .a2 properties to the a object (arrays are objects too). As further evidence, if you did this:

a = new Array();
a['a1']='foo';
a['a2']='bar';
console.log(a.length);   // outputs zero because there are no items in the array

Your third option:

c=['c1','c2','c3'];

is assigning the variable c an array with three elements. Those three elements can be accessed as: c[0], c[1] and c[2]. In other words, c[0] === 'c1' and c.length === 3.

Javascript does not use its array functionality for what other languages call associative arrays where you can use any type of key in the array. You can implement most of the functionality of an associative array by just using an object in javascript where each item is just a property like this.

It is generally a mistake to use an array for this purpose as it just confuses people reading your code and leads to false assumptions about how the code works.

The easiest way would be to use a GUI:

For those who are having trouble with fatal error: ESP8266WiFi.h: No such file or directory, you can install the package manually.

1. Download the Arduino ESP8266 core from here https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino
2. Go into library from the downloaded core and grab ESP8266WiFi.
3. Drag that into your local Arduino/library folder. This can be found by going into preferences and looking at your Sketchbook location

You may still need to have the http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json package installed beforehand, however.

Edit: That wasn't the full issue, you need to make sure you have the correct ESP8266 Board selected before compiling.

Even using stack will not convert a recursive algorithm into iterative. Normal recursion is function based recursion and if we use stack then it becomes stack based recursion. But its still recursion.

For recursive algorithms, space complexity is O(N) and time complexity is O(N). For iterative algorithms, space complexity is O(1) and time complexity is O(N).

But if we use stack things in terms of complexity remains same. I think only tail recursion can be converted into iteration.

A: strpos returns the index position of where it first found the $needle, which could be 0. Since 0 also resolves to false the solution is to use strict comparison: if( false !== strpos( $haystack, $needle )...

Some applications may detect click source at low OS level. If you really need that kind of hack, you may just run target app in virtual machine's window, and run cliker in host OS, it can help.

In Java, according to the JSSE Reference Guide, there is no default for the keystore, the default for the truststore is "jssecacerts, if it exists. Otherwise, cacerts".

A few applications use ~/.keystore as a default keystore, but this is not without problems (mainly because you might not want all the application run by the user to use that trust store).

I'd suggest using application-specific values that you bundle with your application instead, it would tend to be more applicable in general.

If you get to the point where all the mentioned solutions don't work (as it got for me), do this:

• Create two tables. One for the header and another for the body
• Give the two tables different parent containers/divs
