I suspect that the problem lies in the fact that you are calling your state setter immediately inside the function component body, which forces React to re-invoke your function again, with the same props, which ends up calling the state setter again, which triggers React to call your function again.... and so on.

I had a very similar issue to this when testing a restored backup of a mysql and associated php system. No matter what configuration settings I added on mysql it was not making any difference. After troubleshooting the issue for some time I noticed in the mysql logs that the mysql config files were being largely ignored by mysql. The reason was due to the file permissions being too open which was due to the fact my zip backup and restore process was losing all file permissions. I modified my backup and restore scripts to use tar instead and then everything worked as it should.

In summary, check the file permissions on your mysql config files are correct. Hope this helps someone.

Double quotes are string interpolation in PHP, so if you're going to use variables in a double quotes string, it's pointless to use the concat operator. On the flip side, single quotes are not string interpolation, so if you've only got like one variable at the end of a string it can make sense, or just use it for the whole string.

In fact, there's a micro op available here since the interpreter doesn't care about parsing the string for variables. The boost is nearly unnoticable and totally ignorable on a small scale. However, in a very large application, especially good old legacy monoliths, there can be a noticeable performance increase if strings are used like this. (and IMO, it's easier to read anyway)

The default constructor has no arguments. You need to specify a constructor:

1. In reference to the error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

   That error means that the Data Source Name (DSN) you are specifying in your connection configuration is not being found in the windows registry.

   • It is important that your ODBC driver's executable and linking format (ELF) is the same as your application. In other words, you need a 32-bit driver for a 32-bit application or a 64-bit driver for a 64-bit application.

     If these do not match, it is possible to configure a DSN for a 32-bit driver and when you attempt to use that DSN in a 64-bit application, the DSN won't be found because the registry holds DSN information in different places depending on ELF (32-bit versus 64-bit).

     Be sure you are using the correct ODBC Administrator tool. On 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, the default ODBC Administrator tool is in c:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe. However, on a 64-bit Windows machine, the default is the 64-bit version. If you need to use the 32-bit ODBC Administrator tool on a 64-bit Windows system, you will need to run the one found here: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

     Where I see this tripping people up is when a user uses the default 64-bit ODBC Administrator to configure a DSN; thinking it is for a 32-bit DSN. Then when the 32-bit application attempts to connect using that DSN, "Data source not found..." occurs.

   • It's also important to make sure the spelling of the DSN matches that of the configured DSN in the ODBC Administrator. One letter wrong is all it takes for a DSN to be mismatched.

     It may not be the same product brand that you have, however; it is a generic problem that is encountered when using ODBC data source names.

I had the same error which was coming and dont need to worry about this error, just restart the server and restart the SQL services. This issue comes when there is low disk space issue and system will go into hung state and then the sql services will stop automatically.

You get this exact same error when trying to connect to a MySQL database from MS-Access when the bit version (32 vs 64) of Access doesn't match

1. the bit version of the ODBC Driver you are using
2. the bit version of the ODBC Manager you used to set it up.

For those of you trying to connect MS-Access to MySQL on a 64 bit Windows system, I went through sheer torture trying to get it to work with both MS-Access 2010 and MS-Access 2013. Finally got it working, and here are the lessons I've learned along the way:

I bought a new Windows 7, 64 bit laptop, and I have an app which relies on MS-Access using MySQL tables.

1. I installed the latest version of MySQL, 5.6, using the All In One package install. This allows you to install both the database and ODBC drivers all at once. That's nice, but the ODBC driver it installs seems to be the 64 bit one, so it will not work with 32 bit MS-Access. It also seems a little buggy - not for sure on that one. When you Add a new DSN in the ODBC Manager, this driver appears as "Microsoft ODBC For Oracle". I could not get this one to work. I had to install the 32 bit one, discussed below.

   • MySQL was working fine after the install. I restored my application MySQL database in the usual way. Now I want to connect to it using MS-Access.

   
   

2. I had previously installed Office 2013, which I assumed was 64 bit. But upon checking the version (File, Account, About Access), I see that it is 32 bit. Both Access 2010 and 2013 are most commonly sold as 32-bit versions.

3. My machine is a 64 bit machine. So by default, when you go to set up your DSN's for MS-Access, and go in the usual way into the ODBC Manager via Control Panel, Administrative Options, you get the 64 bit ODBC manager. You have no way of knowing that! You just can't tell. This is a huge gotcha!! It is impossible to set up a DSN from there and have it successfully connect to MS Access 32 bit. You will get the dreaded error:

   "the specified dsn contains an architecture mismatch..."

4. You must download and install the 32 bit ODBC driver from MySQL. I used version 3.5.1

5. You must tell the ODBC Manager in Control Panel to take a hike and must instead explicitly invoke the 32 bit ODBC Manager with this command executed at the Start, Command prompt:

   c:\windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

   I created a shortcut to this on my desktop. From here, build your DSN with this manager. Important point: BUILD THEM AS SYSTEM DSNS, NOT USER DSNS! This tripped me up for awhile.

   By the way, the 64 bit version of the ODBC Manager can also be run explicitly as:

   c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe

6. Once you've installed the 32-bit ODBC Driver from MySql, when you click Add in the ODBC Manager you will see 2 drivers listed. Choose "MySQL ODBC 5.2 ANSI Driver". I did not try the UNICODE driver.

That does it. Once you have defined your DSN's in the 32 bit ODBC manager, you can connect to MySQL in the usual way from within Access - External Data, ODBC Database, Link to the Database, select Machine Data Source, and the DSN you created to your MySQL database will be there.

I had the same issue, my problem was that the firewall on the server wasn't open from the current ip address.

I had a similar issue and found that it was much simpler to to get rid of the Excel files as soon as possible. As part of the first steps in my package I used Powershell to extract the data out of the Excel files into CSV files. My own Excel files were simple but here

Then you go on next tab system DSN then you select ADD tabthen select postgreSQL_ANSI_64X ODBC after you that you have created PostgreSQL ODBC connection.

Note that if you use SELECT FOR UPDATE to perform a uniqueness check before an insert, you will get a deadlock for every race condition unless you enable the innodb_locks_unsafe_for_binlog option. A deadlock-free method to check uniqueness is to blindly insert a row into a table with a unique index using INSERT IGNORE, then to check the affected row count.

It turns out that you can create 32-bit ODBC connections using C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. My solution was to create the 32-bit ODBC connection as a System DSN. This still didn't allow me to connect to it since .NET couldn't look it up. After significant and fruitless searching to find how to get the OdbcConnection class to look for the DSN in the right place, I stumbled upon a web site that suggested modifying the registry to solve a different problem.

I ended up creating the ODBC connection directly under HKLM\Software\ODBC. I looked in the SysWOW6432 key to find the parameters that were set up using the 32-bit version of the ODBC administration tool and recreated this in the standard location. I didn't add an entry for the driver, however, as that was not installed by the standard installer for the app either.

After creating the entry (by hand), I fired up my windows service and everything was happy.

For anyone coming to this latterly, I was having this problem over a Windows network, and offer an additional thing to check:

Python script connecting would work from commandline on my (linux) machine, but some users had problems connecting - that it worked from CLI suggested the DSN and credentials were right. The issue for us was that the group security policy required the ODBC credentials to be set on every machine. Once we added that (for some reason, the user had three of the four ODBC credentials they needed for our various systems), they were able to connect.

You can of course do that at group level, but as it was a simple omission on the part of one machine, I did it in Control Panel > ODBC Drivers > New

emphasis: Remember to always RESTART the CMD WINDOW after setting the PATH environmental variable for it to take effect!

I'll try to answer the why question: The Java array is very simple and rudimentary compared to classes like ArrayList, that are more dynamic. Java wants to know at declaration time how much memory should be allocated for the array. An ArrayList is much more dynamic and the size of it can vary over time.

If you initialize your array with the length of two, and later on it turns out you need a length of three, you have to throw away what you've got, and create a whole new array. Therefore the 'new' keyword.

In your first two examples, you tell at declaration time how much memory to allocate. In your third example, the array name becomes a pointer to nothing at all, and therefore, when it's initialized, you have to explicitly create a new array to allocate the right amount of memory.

I would say that (and if someone knows better, please correct me) the first example

AClass[] array = {object1, object2}

actually means

AClass[] array = new AClass[]{object1, object2};

but what the Java designers did, was to make quicker way to write it if you create the array at declaration time.

The suggested workarounds are good. If the time or memory usage is critical at runtime, use arrays. If it's not critical, and you want code that is easier to understand and to work with, use ArrayList.

A smart pointer is an object that acts, looks and feels like a normal pointer but offers more functionality. In C++, smart pointers are implemented as template classes that encapsulate a pointer and override standard pointer operators. They have a number of advantages over regular pointers. They are guaranteed to be initialized as either null pointers or pointers to a heap object. Indirection through a null pointer is checked. No delete is ever necessary. The biggest downsides of this solution are:

1. You need the stars inside the element to generate correct width;
2. There's no semantic markup, e.g. you'd prefer the score as text inside the element;
3. It only allows for as many scores as you'll have classes (because we can't use Javascript to set a precise width on a pseudo-element).

To fix this the solution above can be easily tweaked. The :before and :after bits need to become actual elements in the DOM (so we need some JS for that).

The latter is left as an excercise for the reader.

As an alternative, you should be able to change the from clause away from a single table and into a subquery that looks something like:

I have a project where the source files are in in a folder below the project folder. When I copied the project folder without the source folder and opened the copied project, the source files are not missing but found at the old location. I closed the project, copied also the source folder, and re-opened the project. Now, the project magically references the copied source files (both the new path showed up on "save as" and a change in a file has been saved in the copied version).

There is a caveat: If not both old and new project folders are below a used library folder, the above-mentioned magic discards also the absolute reference to the library and expects it under the same relative path.

The 500 code would normally indicate an error on the server, not anything with your code. Some thoughts

• Talk to the server developer for more info. You can't get more info directly.
• Verify your arguments into the call (values). Look for anything you might think could cause a problem for the server process. The process should not die and should return you a better code, but bugs happen there also.
• Could be intermittent, like if the server database goes down. May be worth trying at another time.

Oracle SQL Developer 4.0.1.14 surely does support connections to PostgreSQL.

• download JDBC driver for Postgres (http://jdbc.postgresql.org/download.html)

There are several problems in your code.

First the big ones:

1. You are creating a new figure and a new axes in every iteration of your loop ? put fig = plt.figure and ax = fig.add_subplot(1,1,1) outside of the loop.

2. Don't use the Locators. Call the functions ax.set_xticks() and ax.grid() with the correct keywords.

3. With plt.axes() you are creating a new axes again. Use ax.set_aspect('equal').

The minor things: You should not mix the MATLAB-like syntax like plt.axis() with the objective syntax. Use ax.set_xlim(a,b) and ax.set_ylim(a,b)

Surprised nobody brought this up earlier, but for the pragmatists requiring a database: MongoDB has excellent support for Geo queries including this one.

What you are looking for is:

Neighborhoods is the collection that stores one or more polygons in standard GeoJson format. If the query returns null it is not intersected otherwise it is.

The performance for more than 6,000 points classified in a 330 irregular polygon grid was less than one minute with no optimization at all and including the time to update documents with their respective polygon.

You can't do that for a dynamically allocated array (or a pointer). For static arrays, you can use sizeof(array) to get the whole array size in bytes and divide it by the size of each element:

To get the size of a dynamic array, you have to keep track of it manually and pass it around with it, or terminate it with a sentinel value (like '\0' in null terminated strings).

Update: I realized that your question is tagged C++ and not C. You should definitely consider using std::vector instead of arrays in C++ if you want to pass things around:

Now as to why you would want to use it

Lets take a setup:

So because obj was passed by value (make a copy and give that to the function) to foo, the printf will print the original value of 1.

Now if we update foo to:

There is a chance that the printf will print the updated value of 2. But there is also the possibility that foo will cause some form of memory corruption or exception.

The reason is this while you are now using a pointer to pass obj to the function you are also allocating 2 Megs of memory, this could cause the OS to move the memory around updating the location of obj. Since you have passed the pointer by value, if obj gets moved then the OS updates the pointer but not the copy in the function and potentially causing problems.

A final update to foo of:

This will always print the updated value.

See, when the compiler allocates memory for pointers it marks them as immovable, so any re-shuffling of memory caused by the large object being allocated the value passed to the function will point to the correct address to find out the final location in memory to update.

Any particular types of HANDLEs (hWnd, FILE, etc) are domain specific and point to a certain type of structure to protect against memory corruption.

I have built semi-long shell scripts (300-500 lines) and Python code which does similar functionality. When many external commands are being executed, I find the shell is easier to use. Perl is also a good option when there is lots of text manipulation.

My code was broken because I was using a deprecated technique. It used to be this:

You confuse how browsers renders the elements when there are floating elements. If one block element is floating (your inner div in your case), other block elements will ignore it because browser removes floating elements from the normal flow of the web page. Then, because the floated div has been removed from the normal flow, the outside div is filled in, like the inner div isn't there. However, inline elements (images, links, text, blackquotes) will respect the boundaries of the floating element. If you introduce text in the outside div, the text will place arround de inner div.

In other words, block elements (headers, paragraphs, divs, etc) ignore floating elements and fill in, and inline elements (images, links, text, etc) respect boundaries of floating elements.

Referring to Spring Boot application as a Service as well, I would go for the systemd version, since it's the easiest, least verbose, and best integrated into modern distros (and even the not-so-modern ones like CentOS 7.x).

/etc/services is only advisory, it's a listing of well-known ports. It doesn't mean that anything is actually running on that port or that the named service will run on that port.

In PostgreSQL's case it's typical to use port 5432 if it is available. If it isn't, most installers will choose the next free port, usually 5433.

You can see what is actually running using the netstat tool (available on OS X, Windows, and Linux, with command line syntax varying across all three).

This is further complicated on Mac OS X systems by the horrible mess of different PostgreSQL packages - Apple's ancient version of PostgreSQL built in to the OS, Postgres.app, Homebrew, Macports, the EnterpriseDB installer, etc etc.

What ends up happening is that the user installs Pg and starts a server from one packaging, but uses the psql and libpq client from a different packaging. Typically this occurs when they're running Postgres.app or homebrew Pg and connecting with the psql that shipped with the OS. Not only do these sometimes have different default ports, but the Pg that shipped with Mac OS X has a different default unix socket path, so even if the server is running on the same port it won't be listening to the same unix socket.

Most Mac users work around this by just using tcp/ip with psql -h localhost. You can also specify a port if required, eg psql -h localhost -p 5433. You might have multiple PostgreSQL instances running so make sure you're connecting to the right one by using select version() and SHOW data_directory;.

You can also specify a unix socket directory; check the unix_socket_directories setting of the PostgreSQL instance you wish to connect to and specify that with psql -h, e.g.psql -h /tmp.

A cleaner solution is to correct your system PATH so that the psql and libpq associated with the PostgreSQL you are actually running is what's found first on the PATH. The details of that depend on your Mac OS X version and which Pg packages you have installed. I don't use Mac and can't offer much more detail on that side without spending more time than is currently available.

I stumbled over the same issue and found a nice solution which does not need any static ip configuration:

to_date() returns a date at 00:00:00, so you need to "remove" the minutes from the date you are comparing to:

The literal '27-APR-12' can fail very easily if the default date format is changed to anything different. So make sure you you always use to_date() with a proper format mask (or an ANSI literal: date '2012-04-27')

Although you did right in using to_date() and not relying on implict data type conversion, your usage of to_date() still has a subtle pitfall because of the format 'dd-MON-yy'.

With a different language setting this might easily fail e.g. TO_DATE('27-MAY-12','dd-MON-yy') when NLS_LANG is set to german. Avoid anything in the format that might be different in a different language. Using a four digit year and only numbers e.g. 'dd-mm-yyyy' or 'yyyy-mm-dd'

Here is my observation. I created a login (readonly) for a group windows(AD) user account but, its acting defiantly in different SQL servers. In the SQl servers that users can not see the databases I added view definition checked and also gave database execute permeation to the master database for avoiding error 229. I do not have this issue if I create a login for a user.

The reason is that when instantiating a class template, all its declarations (not the definitions) of its member functions are instantiated too. The class template is instantiated precisely when the full definition of a specialization is required. That is the case when it is used as a base class for example, as in your case.

So what happens is that A<B> is instantiated at

class B : public A<B>

at which point B is not a complete type yet (it is after the closing brace of the class definition). However, A<B>::action's declaration requires B to be complete, because it is crawling in the scope of it:

Subclass::mytype

What you need to do is delaying the instantiation to some point at which B is complete. One way of doing this is to modify the declaration of action to make it a member template.

It is still type-safe because if var is not of the right type, passing var to do_action will fail.

This always brings my Motorola MB525 "online" again, after adb complains it would be "offline". I'm using OSX btw.

I'm jumping in here a little late, but came across this page when pondering it myself. Of course I don't know how Facebook or Twitter justified it, but here is my own thought process for what it's worth.

In the end, I concluded that this practice is not that unsemantic (is that a word?). In fact, besides shortness and the nice association of "i is for icon," I think it's actually the most semantic choice for an icon when a straightforward <img> tag is not practical.

1. The usage is consistent with the spec.

While it may not be what the W3 mainly had in mind, it seems to me the official spec for <i> could accommodate an icon pretty easily. After all, the reply-arrow symbol is saying "reply" in another way. It expresses a technical term that may be unfamiliar to the reader and would be typically italicized. ("Here at Twitter, this is what we call a reply arrow.") And it is a term from another language: a symbolic language.

If, instead of the arrow symbol, Twitter used <i>shout out</i> or <i>[Japanese character for reply]</i> (on an English page), that would be consistent with the spec. Then why not <i>[reply arrow]</i>? (I'm talking strictly HTML semantics here, not accessibility, which I'll get to.)

As far as I can see, the only part of the spec explicitly violated by icon usage is the "span of text" phrase (when the tag doesn't contain text also). It is clear that the <i> tag is mainly meant for text, but that's a pretty small detail compared with the overall intent of the tag. The important question for this tag is not what format of content it contains, but what the meaning of that content is.

This is especially true when you consider that the line between "text" and "icon" can be almost nonexistent on websites. Text may look like more like an icon (as in the Japanese example) or an icon may look like text (as in a jpg button that says "Submit" or a cat photo with an overlaid caption) or text may be replaced or enhanced with an image via CSS. Text, image - who cares? It's all content. As long as everyone - humans with impairments, browsers with impairments, search engine spiders, and other machines of various kinds can understand that meaning, we've done our job.

So the fact that the writers of the spec didn't think (or choose) to clarify this shouldn't tie our hands from doing what makes sense and is consistent with the spirit of the tag. The <a> tag was originally intended to take the user somewhere else, but now it might pop up a lightbox. Big whoop, right? If someone had figured out how to pop up a lightbox on click before the spec caught up, they still should have used the <a> tag, not a <span>, even if it wasn't entirely consistent with the current definition - because it came the closest and was still consistent with the spirit of the tag ("something will happen when you click here"). Same deal with <i> - whatever type of thing you put inside it, or however creatively you use it, it expresses the general idea of an alternate or set-apart term.

2. The <i> tag adds semantic meaning to an icon element.

The alternative option to carry an icon class by itself is <span>, which of course has no semantic meaning whatsoever. When a machine asks the <span> what it contains, it says, "I don't know. Could be anything." But the <i> tag says, "I contain a different way of saying something than the usual way, or maybe an unfamiliar term." That's not the same as "I contain an icon," but it's a lot closer to it than <span> got!

3. Eventually, common usage makes right.

In addition to the above, it's worth considering that machine readers (whether search engine, screen reader, or whatever) may at any time begin to take into account that Facebook, Twitter, and other websites use the <i> tag for icons. They don't care about the spec as much as they care about extracting meaning from code by whatever means necessary. So they might use this knowledge of common usage to simply record that "there may be an icon here" or do something more advanced like triggering a look into the CSS for a hint to meaning, or who knows what. So if you choose to use the <i> for icons on your website, you may be providing more meaning than the spec does.

Moreover, if this usage becomes widespread, it will likely be included in the spec in the future. Then you'll be going through your code, replacing <span>s with <i>'s! So it may make sense to get on board with what seems to be the direction of the spec, especially when it doesn't clearly conflict with the current spec. Common usage tends to dictate language rules more than the other way around. If you're old enough, do you remember that "Web site" was the official spelling when the word was new? Dictionaries insisted there must be a space and Web must be capitalized. There were semantic reasons for that. But common usage said, "Whatever, that's stupid. I'm using 'website' because it's more concise and looks better." And before long, dictionaries officially acknowledged that spelling as correct.

4. So I'm going ahead and using it.

So, <i> provides more meaning to machines because of the spec, it provides more meaning to humans because we easily associate "i" with "icon", and it's only one letter long. Win! And if you make sure to include equivalent text either inside the <i> tag or right next to it (as Twitter does), then screen readers understand where to click to reply, the link is usable if CSS doesn't load, and human readers with good eyesight and a decent browser see a pretty icon. With all this in mind, I don't see the downside.

You can set a JavaScript variable in your WepPage that gets set once it's been loaded. You could put it anywhere, but if you're using jQuery, $(document).onReady isn't a bad place to start. If not, then you can put it in a <script> tag at the bottom of the page.

An IntentService is an extension of a Service that is made to ease the execution of a task that needs to be executed in background and in a seperated thread.

IntentService starts, create a thread and runs its task in the thread. once done, it cleans everything. Only one instance of a IntentService can run at the same time, several calls are enqueued.

It is very simple to use and very convenient for a lot of uses, for instance downloading stuff. But it has limitations that can make you want to use instead the more basic (not simple) Service.

For example, a service connected to a xmpp server and bound by activities cannot be simply done using an IntentService. You'll end up ignoring or overriding IntentService stuffs.

OK, here is one solution I have come up with which is pretty messed up.

I put the full label text into the div using the fontFamily label attribute. Then I use querySelectorAll to match the resulting style attributes to pull out the refs and rewrite the tags once the map has loaded:

This seems pretty brittle. Are there any approaches which are less awful?

Is it very expensive to do this by json convert? But at least you have a 2 line solution and its generic. It does not matter eather if your datatable contains more or less fields than the object class:

Improving on Ocelot20's answer, if you have a table you're left outer joining with where you just want 0 or 1 rows out of it, but it could have multiple, you need to Order your joined table:

The full outer join or full join returns all rows from both tables, matching up the rows wherever a match can be made and placing NULLs in the places where no matching row exists.

Relationships in JPA are always unidirectional, unless you associate the parent with the child in both directions. Cascading REMOVE operations from the parent to the child will require a relation from the parent to the child (not just the opposite).

You'll therefore need to do this:

• Either, change the unidirectional @ManyToOne relationship to a bi-directional @ManyToOne, or a unidirectional @OneToMany. You can then cascade REMOVE operations so that EntityManager.remove will remove the parent and the children. You can also specify orphanRemoval as true, to delete any orphaned children when the child entity in the parent collection is set to null, i.e. remove the child when it is not present in any parent's collection.
• Or, specify the foreign key constraint in the child table as ON DELETE CASCADE. You'll need to invoke EntityManager.clear() after calling EntityManager.remove(parent) as the persistence context needs to be refreshed - the child entities are not supposed to exist in the persistence context after they've been deleted in the database.

This ensures we're linking the correct openssl for this situation. (and doesn't mess with .profile)

This one really sucked.

I tried all of the solutions suggested here but the only thing that worked was to

• create a new database
• run ALTER TABLE old_db.{table_name} RENAME new_db.{table_name} on all of the functioning tables
• run DROP old_db
• create old_db again
• run ALTER TABLE new_db.{table_name} RENAME old_db.{table_name} on all the tables in new_db

Once you have done that you can finally just create the table again that you previously had.

Several answers here suggest using datetime.datetime.strptime to parse RFC 3339 or ISO 8601 datetimes with timezones, like the one exhibited in the question:

This is a bad idea.

Assuming that you want to support the full RFC 3339 format, including support for UTC offsets other than zero, then the code these answers suggest does not work. Indeed, it cannot work, because parsing RFC 3339 syntax using strptime is impossible. The format strings used by Python's datetime module are incapable of describing RFC 3339 syntax.

The problem is UTC offsets. The RFC 3339 Internet Date/Time Format requires that every date-time includes a UTC offset, and that those offsets can either be Z (short for "Zulu time") or in +HH:MM or -HH:MM format, like +05:00 or -10:30.

Consequently, these are all valid RFC 3339 datetimes:

• 2008-09-03T20:56:35.450686Z
• 2008-09-03T20:56:35.450686+05:00
• 2008-09-03T20:56:35.450686-10:30

Alas, the format strings used by strptime and strftime have no directive that corresponds to UTC offsets in RFC 3339 format. A complete list of the directives they support can be found at https://docs.python.org/3/library/datetime.html#strftime-and-strptime-behavior, and the only UTC offset directive included in the list is %z:

%z

UTC offset in the form +HHMM or -HHMM (empty string if the the object is naive).

Example: (empty), +0000, -0400, +1030

This doesn't match the format of an RFC 3339 offset, and indeed if we try to use %z in the format string and parse an RFC 3339 date, we'll fail:

(Actually, the above is just what you'll see in Python 3. In Python 2 we'll fail for an even simpler reason, which is that strptime does not implement the %z directive at all in Python 2.)

The multiple answers here that recommend strptime all work around this by including a literal Z in their format string, which matches the Z from the question asker's example datetime string (and discards it, producing a datetime object without a timezone):

Since this discards timezone information that was included in the original datetime string, it's questionable whether we should regard even this result as correct. But more importantly, because this approach involves hard-coding a particular UTC offset into the format string, it will choke the moment it tries to parse any RFC 3339 datetime with a different UTC offset:

The answer is not efficiency. Non-reentrant mutexes lead to better code.

Example: A::foo() acquires the lock. It then calls B::bar(). This worked fine when you wrote it. But sometime later someone changes B::bar() to call A::baz(), which also acquires the lock.

Well, if you don't have recursive mutexes, this deadlocks. If you do have them, it runs, but it may break. A::foo() may have left the object in an inconsistent state before calling bar(), on the assumption that baz() couldn't get run because it also acquires the mutex. But it probably shouldn't run! The person who wrote A::foo() assumed that nobody could call A::baz() at the same time - that's the entire reason that both of those methods acquired the lock.

The right mental model for using mutexes: The mutex protects an invariant. When the mutex is held, the invariant may change, but before releasing the mutex, the invariant is re-established. Reentrant locks are dangerous because the second time you acquire the lock you can't be sure the invariant is true any more.

If you are happy with reentrant locks, it is only because you have not had to debug a problem like this before. Java has non-reentrant locks these days in java.util.concurrent.locks, by the way.

Here is how I made monthly page in similar manner as Fernando:

1. I wrote manually on each page number of the month and named that place as ThisMonth. Note that you can do this only before you make copies of the sheet. After copying Excel doesn't allow you to use same name, but with sheet copy it does it still. This solution works also without naming.
2. I added number of weeks in the month to location C12. Naming is fine also.

3. I made five weeks on every page and on fifth week I made function

   that empties fifth week if this month has only four weeks. C12 holds the number of weeks.

5. I created annual Excel, so I had 12 sheets in it: one for each month. In this example name of the sheet is "Month". Note that this solutions works also with the ODS file standard except you need to change all spaces as "_" characters.
6. I renamed first "Month" sheet as "Month (1)" so it follows the same naming principle. You could also name it as "Month1" if you wish, but "January" would require a bit more work.

7. Insert following function on the first day field starting sheet #2:

In my experience, don't use ffmpeg for splitting/join. MP4Box, is faster and light than ffmpeg. Please tryit. Eg if you want to split a 1400mb MP4 file into two parts a 700mb you can use the following cmdl: MP4Box -splits 716800 input.mp4 eg for concatenating two files you can use:

MP4Box -cat file1.mp4 -cat file2.mp4 output.mp4

Or if you need split by time, use -splitx StartTime:EndTime:

I had the same problem with my localhost project using Eclipse Luna, Maven and Tomcat - the Tomcat homepage would appear fine, however my project would get the 404 error.

After trying many suggested solutions (updating spring .jar file, changing properties of the Tomcat server, add/remove project, change JRE from 1.6 to 7 etc) which did not fix the issue, what worked for me was to just Refresh my project. It seems Eclipse does not automatically refresh the project after a (Maven) build. In Eclipse 3.3.1 there was a 'Refresh Automatically' option under Preferences > General > Workspace however that option doesn't look to be in Luna.

1. Maven clean-install on the project.
2. ** Right-click the project and select 'Refresh'. **
3. Right-click the Eclipse Tomcat server and select 'Clean'.
4. Right-click > Publish and then start the Tomcat server.

I'm astonished that no-one has mentioned the scripted backup solution offered by Ola Hallengren which absolutely does allow you to backup a DB from a remote server to a UNC path on your network for free (I'm actually using it as I type to backup a DB from a dev server to which I have no remote access other than through SSMS to a share on my dev PC). This has been available since 2008 and works on SQL Server 2005 through to 2014.

You need to ensure that the share you set up has enough access: I tend to allow full read/write to the 'Everyone' AD group for the duration of the backup process because I'm too lazy to figure out anything more restrictive but that's personal choice.

It's well-used, well-documented and very flexible. I tend to put the procs and the logging table in their own little utility database and then fire it up. Provided everything is in your AD domain and not remote in the sense that it's out on a co-located server or something, this works very well.

Compress and Send Bitmap

The accepted answer will crash when the Bitmap is too large. I believe it's a 1MB limit. The Bitmap must be compressed into a different file format such as a JPG represented by a ByteArray, then it can be safely passed via an Intent.

Implementation

The function is contained in a separate thread using Kotlin Coroutines because the Bitmap compression is chained after the Bitmap is created from an url String. The Bitmap creation requires a separate thread in order to avoid Application Not Responding (ANR) errors.

If it helps, I was using centrifuge with my reactjs app, and, after checking some comments below, I looked at the centrifuge.js library file, which in my version, had the following code snippet:

Others have commented on the (incorrect) use of 2/11 to specify the desired interval.

I personally however prefer writing things like that using ANSI interval literals which makes reading the query much easier:

I faced the same problem, and none of the options here helped me. Some mail services do not support specified styles. Here is my version, which solved the problem and works everywhere I checked:

One method you might want to consider if you're going to be working with the values a lot is to write them to a temporary table first. Then you just join on it like normal.

This way, you're only parsing once.

It's easiest to use one of the 'Split' UDFs, but so many people have posted examples of those, I figured I'd go a different route ;)

This example will create a temporary table for you to join on (#tmpDept) and fill it with the department id's that you passed in. I'm assuming you're separating them with commas, but you can -- of course -- change it to whatever you want.

This will allow you to pass in one department id, multiple id's with commas in between them, or even multiple id's with commas and spaces between them.

So if you did something like:

You would see the names of all of the department IDs that you passed in...

Again, this can be simplified by using a function to populate the temporary table... I mainly did it without one just to kill some boredom :-P

There are some options to do that.

One would be:

document.write(produceMessage())

Other would be appending some element in your document this way:

Add a space fudge factor to the Y Axis scale so the text has room to render in your javascript.

Then in your html after your chart canvas put something like...

It is not the most elegant solution, but worked well when I had a few layers between the html and the chart code (using angular-chart and not wanting to change any source code).

I don't think a message box is the best way to go with this as you would need the VB code running in a loop to check the cell contents, or unless you plan to run the macro manually. In this case I think it would be better to add conditional formatting to the cell to change the background to red (for example) if the value exceeds the upper limit.

The closest PowerShell construct I've been able to come up with to emulate that is:

Depends on the how you implement hashing, in the worst case it can go to O(n), in best case it is 0(1) (generally you can achieve if your DS is not that big easily)

You can often get this message when you are doing something like the following:

Resulted in our case in the following error:

SQL Exception: Data truncated for column 'level' at row 1

The problem turned out to be column misalignment that resulted in a tinyint trying to be stored in a datetime field or vice versa.

Important things to know about attributes:

• Attributes are metadata.
• They are baked into the assembly at compile-time which has very serious implications of how you could set their properties. Only constant (known at compile time) values are accepted
• The only way to make any sense and usage of custom attributes is to use Reflection. So if you don't use reflection at runtime to fetch them and decorate something with a custom attribute don't expect much to happen.

You can use --link option to link another container with a preferred alias

You can pause, restart, and stop containers that are connected to a network. Paused containers remain connected and can be revealed by a network inspect. When the container is stopped, it does not appear on the network until you restart it.

If specified, the container's IP address(es) is reapplied when a stopped container is restarted. If the IP address is no longer available, the container fails to start.

One way to guarantee that the IP address is available is to specify an --ip-range when creating the network, and choose the static IP address(es) from outside that range. This ensures that the IP address is not given to another container while this container is not on the network.

The GPL mkfile is just a (ba)sh script wrapper around dd; BSD's mkfile just memsets a buffer with non-zero and writes it repeatedly. I would not expect the former to out-perform dd. The latter might edge out dd if=/dev/zero slightly since it omits the reads, but anything that does significantly better is probably just creating a sparse file.

Absent a system call that actually allocates space for a file without writing data (and Linux and BSD lack this, probably Solaris as well) you might get a small improvement in performance by using ftrunc(2)/truncate(1) to extend the file to the desired size, mmap the file into memory, then write non-zero data to the first bytes of every disk block (use fgetconf to find the disk block size).

I got this error when I install some VS components. Unfortunately none of these answers didn't help me. I use TFS for command development and I have no permissions to edit build definition. I solved this problem by deleting environment variables which called VS110COMNTOOLS and VS120COMNTOOLS. I think it was installed with my VS components.

SQL Server returns messages after a batch of statements has been executed. Normally, you'd use SQL GO to indicate the end of a batch and to retrieve the results:

In this case, however, the print statement you want returned immediately is in the middle of a loop, so the print statements cannot be in their own batch. The only command I know of that will return in the middle of a batch is RAISERROR (...) WITH NOWAIT, which gbn has provided as an answer as I type this.

The sane way to do this is to use zip() and a List Comprehension / Generator Expression:

Also, if your'e not using array.array() or numpy.array(), then most likely you are using [] or list(), which give you Lists, not Arrays. Not the same thing.

You have to use .values for arrays. for example say you have dataframe which has a column name ie, test['Name'], you can do

Noticed the back slashes? They are used to join strings that are on new lines. Leaving them out generates an error.

When working with graphical user interfaces, you need to remember that drawing on a pane is done in the Java AWT/Swing event queue. You can't just use the Graphics object outside the paint()/paintComponent()/etc. methods.

However, you can use a technique called "Frame buffering". Basically, you need to have a BufferedImage and draw directly on it (see it's createGraphics() method; that graphics context you can keep and reuse for multiple operations on a same BufferedImage instance, no need to recreate it all the time, only when creating a new instance). Then, in your JPanel's paintComponent(), you simply need to draw the BufferedImage instance unto the JPanel. Using this technique, you can perform zoom, translation and rotation operations quite easily through affine transformations.
