Granted that any image the user can see will be able to be saved on the computer and there is nothing you can do about it. Now if you want to block access to other images that the user is not supposed to see, I am actually doing it that way:

• Every link is to the "src" in your image tag is in fact a request send to a controller on the server,
• the server checks the access rights of that specific user, and returns the image if the user is supposed to have access to it,
• all images are stored in a directory that is not directly accessible from the browser.

Benefit:

• The user will not have access to anything that you don't intent him/her to have access to

• Those requests are slow.. especially is there are lots of images on the same page. I haven't found a good way to accelerate that in fact..

I know this question has far too many answers already, but none of them met my exact requirements.

I wanted a function that has the exact opposite behavior of parentNode.insertBefore - that is, it must accept a null referenceNode (which the accepted answer does not) and where insertBefore would insert at the end of the children this one must insert at the start, since otherwise there'd be no way to insert at the start location with this function at all; the same reason insertBefore inserts at the end.

Since a null referenceNode requires you to locate the parent, we need to know the parent - insertBefore is a method of the parentNode, so it has access to the parent that way; our function doesn't, so we'll need to pass the parent as a parameter.

The resulting function looks like this:

yield from basically chains iterators in a efficient way:

As you can see it removes one pure Python loop. That's pretty much all it does, but chaining iterators is a pretty common pattern in Python.

Threads are basically a feature that allow you to jump out of functions at completely random points and jump back into the state of another function. The thread supervisor does this very often, so the program appears to run all these functions at the same time. The problem is that the points are random, so you need to use locking to prevent the supervisor from stopping the function at a problematic point.

Generators are pretty similar to threads in this sense: They allow you to specify specific points (whenever they yield) where you can jump in and out. When used this way, generators are called coroutines.

I ran into this same issue and realized that, since I am using spring boot, all I needed to do to resolve the issue was to add the following dependency:

HTML does not support a dropdown list with checkboxes. You can have a dropdown list, or a checkbox list. You could possibly fake a dropdowncheckbox list using javascript and hiding divs, but that would be less reliable than just a standard checkbox list.

There are of course 3rd party controls that look like a dropdown checkboxlist, but they are using the div tricks.

you could also use a double listbox, which handles multi select by moving items back and forth between two lists. This has the added benefit of being easily to see all the selected items at once, even though the list of total items is long

One more thing you have to keep in mind that the APPEND() method in Pandas doesn't modify the original object. Instead it creates a new one with combined data. Because of involving creation and data buffer, its performance is not well. You'd better use CONCAT() function when doing multi-APPEND operations.

In my case, I had this in my code which did not work:

If you did a new or clean install of OS X version 10.3 or more recent, the default user terminal shell is bash.

Bash is essentially an enhanced and GNU freeware version of the original Bourne shell, sh. On a final note, I am on Linux (Ubuntu 11) and Mac osX so I use bash and the thing I like the most is customizing the .bashrc (source'd from .bash_profile on OSX) file with aliases, some examples below. I now placed all my aliases in a separate .bash_aliases file and include it with:

Add .idea directory to the list of ignored files

First, add it to .gitignore, so it is not accidentally committed by you (or someone else) again:

Second, remove the directory only from the repository, but do not delete it locally. To achieve that, do what is listed here:

I had similar issue and in my case I can not change the directive since, it is a library and change a code of the library is not a good practice. So what I did was use a variable to wait for page load and use ng-if inside my html to wait render the particular element.

In my controller:

The pipe (|) in this code sample from Austin isn't the delimiter, but to pipe the ForEach-Object, so if you want to use it as delimiter, you need to do this:

I found this really useful:

1. Find the MySQL process in Services under Control Panel -> Administration Tools

2. 404 error in the normal browsers.

Fixes -

1. For the eclipse browser error, check whether you are using secured URL - https://localhost:8080. This should be http://localhost:8080
2. For the 404 error: Go to Tomcat server in the console. Do a right click, select properties. In the properties window, Click "Switch location" and then click OK. Followed by that, Go to Tomcat server in the console, double click it, Under "server locations" select "Use Tomcat installation" radio button. Save it.

The reason for choosing this option is, When the default option is given as eclipse location, we will see 404 error as it changes Catalina parameters (sometimes). But if we change it to Tomcat location, it works fine.

Your -vm argument seems ok BUT it's position is wrong. According to this Eclipse Wiki entry :

The -vm option must occur before the -vmargs option, since everything after -vmargs is passed directly to the JVM.

So your -vm argument is not taken into account and it fails over to your default java installation, which is probably 1.6.0_65.

I was struggling with the same thing, running a shell script that set variables, then wanting to use the variables in the shared-pom. The goal was to have environment variables replace strings in my project files using the com.google.code.maven-replacer-plugin.

Using ${env.foo} or ${env.FOO} didn't work for me. Maven just wasn't finding the variable. What worked was passing the variable in as a command-line parameter in Maven. Here's the setup:

1. Set the variable in the shell script. If you're launching Maven in a sub-script, make sure the variable is getting set, e.g. using source ./maven_script.sh to call it from the parent script.

2. In shared-pom, create a command-line param that grabs the environment variable:

Yes, you can group by multiple columns. For example,

The results will first be grouped by col1, then by col2. In MySQL, column preference goes from left to right.

Try this:

4. Click Add another rule (or edit the existing/default one)

Anything written in the A1:A100 cells will be checked, and if there is a duplicate (occurs more than once) then it'll be coloured.

For locales using comma (,) as a decimal separator, the argument separator is most likely a semi-colon (;). That is, try: =countif(A:A;A1)>1, instead.

For multiple columns, use countifs.

Reselecting key file in a combobox and entering password helps on this for us.

But it is needed to do each time the key file changes and it seems to be not OK.

I suppose it is useful if the result of the cast will be passed to a method that you know will handle null references without throwing and ArgumentNullException or suchlike.

I tend to find very little use for as, since:

The use of as is very much an edge-case scenario for me, so I can't think of any general rules for when I would use it over just casting and handling the (more informative) casting exception further up the stack.

Another great implementation is balupton's jQuery History which will use the native onhashchange event if it is supported by the browser, if not it will use an iframe or interval appropriately for the browser to ensure all the expected functionality is successfully emulated. It also provides a nice interface to bind to certain states.

Another project worth noting as well is jQuery Ajaxy which is pretty much an extension for jQuery History to add ajax to the mix. As when you start using ajax with hashes it get's quite complicated!

I love programming in assembly language, but it takes more code to do the same thing as in a high-level languge, and there is a direct correlation between lines of code and bugs. (This was explained decades ago in The Mythical Man-Month.)

It's possible to think of C as 'high level assembly', but get a few steps above that and you're in a different world. In C# you don't think twice about writing this:

foreach (string s in listOfStrings) { /* do stuff */ }

This would be dozens, maybe hundreds of lines of code in assembly, each programmer implementing it would take a different approach, and the next person coming along would have to figure it out. So if you believe (as many do) that programs are written primarily for other people to read, assembly is less readable than the typical HLL.

Edit: I accumulated a personal library of code used for common tasks, and macros for implementing C-like control structures. But I hit the wall in the 90s, when GUIs became the norm. Too much time was being spent on things that were routine.

The last task I had where ASM was essential was a few years ago, writing code to combat malware. No user interface, so it was all the fun parts without the bloat.

I think best solution is Immer. It allows you to update object like you are directly modifying fields (masterField.fieldOne.fieldx = 'abc'). But it will not change actual object of course. It collects all updates on a draft object and gives you a final object at the end which you can use to replace original object.

Use enums for TYPE SAFETY, this is a language feature so you will usually get:

• Compiler support (immediately see type issues)
• Tool support in IDEs (auto-completion in switch case, missing cases, force default, ...)
• In some cases enum performance is also great (EnumSet, typesafe alternative to traditional int-based "bit flags.")

Enums can have methods, constructors, you can even use enums inside enums and combine enums with interfaces.

Think of enums as types to replace a well defined set of int constants (which Java 'inherited' from C/C++) and in some cases to replace bit flags.

Ok so if you need 72dp, couldn't you just add the difference in padding in the xml file? This way you keep Androids default Inset/Padding that they want us to use.

So: 72-16=56

Therefor: add 56dp padding to put yourself at an indent/margin total of 72dp.

Or you could just change the values in the Dimen.xml files. that's what I am doing now. It changes everything, the entire layout, including the ToolBar when implemented in the new proper Android way.

NetBeans Free! Plus, the best functionality of all offerings. Includes inline database connections, code completion, syntax checking, color coding, split views etc. Downside: It's a memory hog on the Mac. Be prepared to allow half a gig of memory then you'll need to shut down and restart.

Komodo A step above a Text Editor. Does not support database connections or split views. Color coding and syntax checking are there to an extent. The project control on Komodo is very unwieldy and strange compared to the other IDEs.

Aptana The perfect solution. Eclipsed based and uses the Aptana PHP plug in. Real time syntax checking, word wrap, drag and drop split views, database connections and a slew of other excellent features. Downside: Not a supported product any more. Aptana Studio 2.0+ uses PDT which is a watered down, under-developed (at present) php plug in.

Zend Studio - Almost identical to Aptana, except no word wrap and you can't change alot of the php configuration on the MAC apparently due to bugs.

Coda Created by Panic, Coda has nice integration with source control and their popular FTP client, transmit. They also have a collaboration feature which is cool for pair-programming.

PhpEd with Parallels or Wine. The best IDE for Windows has all the feature you could need and is worth the effort to pass it through either Parallels or Wine.

Dreamweaver Good for Javascript/HTML/CSS, but only marginal for PHP. There is some color coding, but no syntax checking or code completion native to the package. Database connections are supported, and so are split views.

I'm using NetBeans, which is free, and feature rich. I can deal with the memory issues for a while, but it could be slow coming to the MAC.

You need to move the global declaration inside your function:

The statement tells the Python compiler that any assignments (and other binding actions) to that name are to alter the value in the global namespace; the default is to put any name that is being assigned to anywhere in a function, in the local namespace. The statement only applies to the current scope.

Since you are never assigning to g_c in the class body, putting the statement there has no effect. The global statement only ever applies to the scope it is used in, never to any nested scopes. See the global statement documentation, which opens with:

The global statement is a declaration which holds for the entire current code block.

Nested functions and classes are not part of the current code block.

I'll insert the obligatory warning against using globals to share changing state here: don't do it, this makes it harder to reason about the state of your code, harder to test, harder to refactor, etc. If you must share a changing singleton state (one value in the whole program) then at least use a class attribute:

CONNECTION_REFUSED is standard when the port is closed, but it could be rejected because SSL is failing authentication (one of a billion reasons). Did you configure SSL with Ratchet? (Apache is bypassed) Did you try without SSL in JavaScript?

I don't think Ratchet has built-in support for SSL. But even if it does you'll want to try the ws:// protocol first; it's a lot simpler, easier to debug, and closer to telnet. Chrome or the socket service may also be generating the REFUSED error if the service doesn't support SSL (because you explicitly requested SSL).

However the refused message is likely a server side problem, (usually port closed).

There are a few situations where you might prefer the first one to (slightly) improve performance, for example on some JVMs without a JIT compiler.

Out of that kind of very specific context, you should use the first one.

The problem is the import of ProjectsListComponent in your ProjectsModule. You should not import that, but add it to the export array, if you want to use it outside of your ProjectsModule.

Other issues are your project routes. You should add these to an exportable variable, otherwise it's not AOT compatible. And you should -never- import the BrowserModule anywhere else but in your AppModule. Use the CommonModule to get access to the *ngIf, *ngFor...etc directives:

If for example, I want to select an element in the same section (e.g div) as a label, you can use this

This just means, look for a label (it could anything like a, h2) called labelName. Navigate to the parent of that label (i.e. div class="ParentDiv"). Search within the descendants of that parent to find any child element with the value of elementToSelect. With this, it will not select the second elementToSelect with DontSelect div as parent.

The trick is that you can reduce search areas for an element by navigating to the parent first and then searching descendant of that parent for the element you need. Other Syntax like following-sibling::h2 can also be used in some cases. This means the sibling following element h2. This will work for elements at the same level, having the same parent.

Here author performed tests showed that integer unix timestamp is better than DateTime. Note, he used MySql. But I feel no matter what DB engine you use comparing integers are slightly faster than comparing dates so int index is better than DateTime index. Take T1 - time of comparing 2 dates, T2 - time of comparing 2 integers. Search on indexed field takes approximately O(log(rows)) time because index based on some balanced tree - it may be different for different DB engines but anyway Log(rows) is common estimation. (if you not use bitmask or r-tree based index). So difference is (T2-T1)*Log(rows) - may play role if you perform your query oftenly.

For iOS 8 above it's really simple:

I had a similar problem, but none of the solutions listed here helped. My problem was that my solution has multiple projects and the wrong one was selected as the StartUp Project, once I changed that, it worked.

Using git branch -r lists all remote branches and git branch -a lists all branches on local and remote. These lists get outdated though. To keep these lists up-to-date, run

git remote update --prune

which will update your local branch list with all new ones from the remote and remove any that are no longer there. Running this update command without the --prune will retrieve new branches but not delete ones no longer on the remote.

You can speed up this update by specifying a remote, otherwise it will pull updates from all remotes you have added, like so

git remote update --prune origin

Javascript is single threaded, hence the page blocking behaviour. You can use the deferred/promise approach suggested by others, but the most basic way would be to use window.setTimeout. E.g.

Update Based on the answer: by @sennet and the comment by @dvlsg (see Fiddle) it should be noted that there is a difference between format and toISOString. Both are correct but the underlying process differs. toISOString converts to a Date object, sets to UTC then uses the native Date prototype function to output ISO8601 in UTC with milliseconds (YYYY-MM-DD[T]HH:mm:ss.SSS[Z]). On the other hand, format uses the default format (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ) without milliseconds and maintains the timezone offset.

I've opened an issue as I think it can lead to unexpected results.

I have experienced that a drop-down menu, referring to a control range (for example after copying sheets from one workbook to another), will keep that cell reference after copying the worksheet, and keeps a data connection which is invisible in "Connections". I found this in the "Search" menu in the ribbon, where an arrow can be selected to mark objects. Underneath the arrow is a menu selection to see all the objects listed in a panel. Then you can delete those unwanted objects and the data source/connection is gone...

I don't think a message box is the best way to go with this as you would need the VB code running in a loop to check the cell contents, or unless you plan to run the macro manually. In this case I think it would be better to add conditional formatting to the cell to change the background to red (for example) if the value exceeds the upper limit.

UTF-8 is one possible encoding scheme for Unicode text.

Unicode is a broad-scoped standard which defines over 140,000 characters and allocates each a numerical code (a code point). It also defines rules for how to sort this text, normalise it, change its case, and more. A character in Unicode is represented by a code point from zero up to 0x10FFFF inclusive, though some code points are reserved and cannot be used for characters.

There is more than one way that a string of Unicode code points can be encoded into a binary stream. These are called "encodings". The most straightforward encoding is UTF-32, which simply stores each code point as a 32-bit integer, with each being 4 bytes wide.

UTF-8 is another encoding, and is becoming the de-facto standard, due to a number of advantages over UTF-32 and others. UTF-8 encodes each code point as a sequence of either 1, 2, 3 or 4 byte values. Code points in the ASCII range are encoded as a single byte value, to be compatible with ASCII. Code points outside this range use either 2, 3, or 4 bytes each, depending on what range they are in.

UTF-8 has been designed with these properties in mind:

• ASCII characters are encoded exactly as they are in ASCII, such that an ASCII string is also a valid UTF-8 string representing the same characters.

• Binary sorting: Sorting UTF-8 strings using a binary sort will still result in all code points being sorted in numerical order.

• When a code point uses multiple bytes, none of those bytes contain values in the ASCII range, ensuring that no part of them could be mistaken for an ASCII character. This is also a security feature.

• UTF-8 can be easily validated, and distinguished from other character encodings by a validator. Text in other 8-bit or multi-byte encodings will very rarely also validate as UTF-8 due to the very specific structure of UTF-8.

• Random access: At any point in a UTF-8 string it is possible to tell if the byte at that position is the first byte of a character or not, and to find the start of the next or current character, without needing to scan forwards or backwards more than 3 bytes or to know how far into the string we started reading from.

1. Change a folder's name from oldfolder to newfolder

git mv oldfolder newfolder

2. If newfolder is already in your repository & you'd like to override it and use:- force

git mv -f oldfolder newfolder

Don't forget to add the changes to index & commit them after renaming with git mv.

3. Renaming foldername to folderName on case insensitive file systems

Simple renaming with a normal mv command(not git mv) won’t get recognized as a filechange from git. If you try it with the ‘git mv’ command like in the following line

git mv foldername folderName

If you’re using a case insensitive filesystem, e.g. you’re on a Mac and you didn’t configure it to be case sensitive, you’ll experience an error message like this one:

fatal: renaming ‘foldername’ failed: Invalid argument

And here is what you can do in order to make it work:-

git mv foldername tempname && git mv tempname folderName

This splits up the renaming process by renaming the folder at first to a completely different foldername. After renaming it to the different foldername the folder can finally be renamed to the new folderName. After those ‘git mv’s, again, do not forget to add and commit the changes. Though this is probably not a beautiful technique, it works perfectly fine. The filesystem will still not recognize a change of the letter cases, but git does due to renaming it to a new foldername, and that’s all we wanted :)

I assume you are talking about getElementById() returning a reference to an element whilst the others return a node list. Just subscript the nodelist for the others, e.g. document.getElementBytag('table')[4].

You were looking for help on installations with pip. You can find it with the following command:

pip install --help

Running pip install -e /path/to/package installs the package in a way, that you can edit the package, and when a new import call looks for it, it will import the edited package code. This can be very useful for package development.

Factory methods should be considered as an alternative to constructors - mostly when constructors aren't expressive enough, ie.

Factory classes are useful when you need a complicated process for constructing the object, when the construction need a dependency that you do not want for the actual class, when you need to construct different objects etc.

These are the complete steps that I usually follow. I am posting this steps as short as possible and assuming that you know about Mac and Xcode projects. First of all, open the terminal and use the following commands, and press enter after each command.

If you're like me and came here looking for a way to make sass --watch work with compass, the answer is to use Compass' version of watch, simply:

compass watch

If you're on a Mac and don't yet have the gem installed, you might run into errors when you try to install the Compass gem, due to permission problems that arise on OSX versions later than 10.11. Install ruby with Homebrew to get around this. See this answer for how to do that.

Alternatively you could just use CodeKit, but if you're stubborn like me and want to use Sublime Text and command line, this is the route to go.

• the sleep value (here 0.2), depends on the length (seconds) of your default beep sound
• I choosed to use os.system rather then subprocess.Popen for simplicity (it could be bad)
• the '-n' for echo is to have no more display

• also tested through ssh on an X term

After spending a few hours: I restarted the Android SDK Manager and at this time I noticed that I got Android SDK Platform-tools (upgrade) and Android SDK Build-tools (new).

After installing those, I was finally able to fully compile my project.

Note: The latest ADT (Version 22) should be installed.

try launching it via android-studio/eclipse plugin. Thats how I had similar issue when launching it from ubuntu.

As metioned by nixxx adding ob_start() before adding any php code will prevent the headers already sent error.

If you are not breaking/continuing/returning etc., you could just add a catch to any unknown exception and put the always code behind it. That is also when you don't need the exception to be re-thrown.

So what's the problem?

Normally finally in other programming languages usually runs no matter what(usually meaning regardless of any return, break, continue, ...) except for some sort of system exit() - which differes a lot per programming language - e.g. PHP and Java just exit in that moment, but Python executes finally anyways and then exits.

I don't love relying on storage internals (that datetime is a float with whole number = day and fractional = time), but I do the same thing as the answer Jhonny D. Cano. This is the way all of the db devs I know do it. Definitely do not convert to string. If you must avoid processing as float/int, then the best option is to pull out hour/minute/second/milliseconds with DatePart()

I had the same issue on OS X 10.9.1 with python 2.7.5. No issues with WORKON_HOME for me, but I did have to manually add source "/usr/local/bin/virtualenvwrapper.sh" to ~/.bash_profile (or ~/.bashrc in unix) after I ran pip install virtualenvwrapper

Here a simple solution with only java.* and javax.crypto.* dependencies for encryption of bytes providing confidentiality and integrity. It shall be indistinguishable under a choosen plaintext attack for short messages in the order of kilobytes.

It uses AES in the GCM mode with no padding, a 128bit key is derived by PBKDF2 with lots of iterations and a static salt from the provided password. This makes sure brute forcing passwords is hard and distributes the entropy over the entire key.

A random initialisation vector (IV) is generated and will be prepended to the ciphertext. Furthermore, the static byte 0x01 is prepended as the first byte as a 'version'.

The entire message goes into the message authentication code (MAC) generated by AES/GCM.

If a variable is declared outside of a function its already in global scope. So there is no need to declare. But from where you calling this variable must have access to this variable. If you are calling from inside a function you have to use global keyword:

2. A reg will create a register(D FLIP FLOP ) which gets or recieve inputs on basis of sensitivity list either it can be clock (rising or falling ) or combinational edge .

so it completely depends on your use whether you need to create a register and tick it according to sensitivity list or you want to create a port/pin assignment

Using WebChromeClient allows you to handle Javascript dialogs, favicons, titles, and the progress. Take a look of this example: Adding alert() support to a WebView

At first glance, there are too many differences WebViewClient & WebChromeClient. But, basically: if you are developing a WebView that won't require too many features but rendering HTML, you can just use a WebViewClient. On the other hand, if you want to (for instance) load the favicon of the page you are rendering, you should use a WebChromeClient object and override the onReceivedIcon(WebView view, Bitmap icon).

Most of the times, if you don't want to worry about those things... you can just do this:

The class attribute can contain multiple styles, so you could specify it as

and do string manipulation to remove 'highlight' from element.className

Using jQuery would make this simpler as you have the methods

By far my favourite all purpose shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+A

It does a search as you type through all the commands in intellij. Not only that but when you find the command you want it also displays the corresponding shortcut key next to it!

I tried this: change 'tr' for 'td' and you will get all HTMLRowElements into an Array, and using textContent will change from Object into String

You can keep your set of random values from changing every time you make an adjustment, by adjusting the automatic recalculation, to: manual recalculate. (Re)calculations are then only done when you press F9. Or shift F9.

When you create a cookie via PHP die Default Value is 0, from the manual:

If set to 0, or omitted, the cookie will expire at the end of the session (when the browser closes)

Otherwise you can set the cookies lifetime in seconds as the third parameter:

But if you mean to get the remaining lifetime of an already existing cookie, i fear that, is not possible (at least not in a direct way).

They're essentially the opposite of what you thought they were.
