Basically, there are three main characters which should be always escaped in your HTML and XML files, so they don't interact with the rest of the markups, so as you probably expect, two of them gonna be the syntax wrappers, which are <>, they are listed as below:

So you need to escape <, or & when followed by anything that could begin a character reference. Also The rule on ampersands is the only such rule for quoted attributes, as the matching quotation mark is the only thing that will terminate one. But if you don’t want to terminate the attribute value there, escape the quotation mark.

Changing to UTF-8 means re-saving your file:

Using the character encoding UTF-8 for your page means that you can avoid the need for most escapes and just work with characters. Note, however, that to change the encoding of your document, it is not enough to just change the encoding declaration at the top of the page or on the server. You need to re-save your document in that encoding. For help understanding how to do that with your application read Setting encoding in web authoring applications.

Invisible or ambiguous characters:

A particularly useful role for escapes is to represent characters that are invisible or ambiguous in presentation.

One example would be Unicode character U+200F RIGHT-TO-LEFT MARK. This character can be used to clarify directionality in bidirectional text (eg. when using the Arabic or Hebrew scripts). It has no graphic form, however, so it is difficult to see where these characters are in the text, and if they are lost or forgotten they could create unexpected results during later editing. Using ? (or its numeric character reference equivalent ?) instead makes it very easy to spot these characters.

An example of an ambiguous character is U+00A0 NO-BREAK SPACE. This type of space prevents line breaking, but it looks just like any other space when used as a character. Using   makes it quite clear where such spaces appear in the text.

It's safer to always percent-encode all characters except those defined as "unreserved" in RFC-3986.

unreserved = ALPHA / DIGIT / "-" / "." / "_" / "~"

So, percent-encode the plus character and other special characters.

The problem that you are having with pluses is because, according to RFC-1866 (HTML 2.0 specification), paragraph 8.2.1. subparagraph 1., "The form field names and values are escaped: space characters are replaced by `+', and then reserved characters are escaped"). This way of encoding form data is also given in later HTML specifications, look for relevant paragraphs about application/x-www-form-urlencoded.

Add a reference to System.Web.dll and then you can use the System.Web.HtmlUtility class

For html encoding, there's cgi.escape from the standard library:

As the alert method in JavaScript does not return a Boolean or yield the current thread, you must use a different method.

My number one recommendation requires a little CSS experience. You should instead create a div element that is fixed positionally.

Otherwise you could use the confirm() method.

An artifact is a file, usually a JAR, that gets deployed to a Maven repository.

A Maven build produces one or more artifacts, such as a compiled JAR and a "sources" JAR.

Each artifact has a group ID (usually a reversed domain name, like com.example.foo), an artifact ID (just a name), and a version string. The three together uniquely identify the artifact.

A project's dependencies are specified as artifacts.

Please take a look first at that answer.

Now, the error message is clear: you can only use bytes, not Python strings (what used to be unicode in Python < 3), so you have to encode the strings with your preferred encoding: utf-32, utf-16, utf-8 or even one of the restricted 8-bit encodings (what some might call codepages).

The bytes in your wordlist file are being automatically decoded to Unicode by Python 3 as you read from the file. I suggest you do:

m.update(line.encode(wordlistfile.encoding))

so that the encoded data pushed to the md5 algorithm are encoded exactly like the underlying file.

Short answer, unpacking tuples from a list in a for loop works. enumerate() creates a tuple using the current index and the entire current item, such as (0, ('bob', 3))

However, if you're dealing with a system that doesn't recognize one form, it seems like you're just going to have to give it what it expects regardless of what the "spec" says.

I wrote a Node.js module that determines your local IP address by looking at which network interface contains your default gateway.

This is more reliable than picking an interface from os.networkInterfaces() or DNS lookups of the hostname. It is able to ignore VMware virtual interfaces, loopback, and VPN interfaces, and it works on Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and FreeBSD. Under the hood, it executes route.exe or netstat and parses the output.

List<T>.Remove() and List<T>.RemoveAt() do not return the item that is being removed.

Therefore you have to use this:

Not only is it OS-agnostic (without even having to use the os package), it's also more readable than putting \n within strings.

Explanation

The print() function has an optional keyword argument for the end of the string, called end, which defaults to the OS's newline character, for eg. \n. So, when you're calling print('hello'), Python is actually printing 'hello' + '\n'. Which means that when you're calling just print without any arguments, it's actually printing '' + '\n', which results in a newline.

Alternative

Use multi-line strings.

You can override any of them when running docker run.

More on difference between CMD and ENTRYPOINT:

Argument to docker run such as /bin/bash overrides any CMD command we wrote in Dockerfile.

ENTRYPOINT cannot be overriden at run time with normal commands such as docker run [args]. The args at the end of docker run [args] are provided as arguments to ENTRYPOINT. In this way we can create a container which is like a normal binary such as ls.

So CMD can act as default parameters to ENTRYPOINT and then we can override the CMD args from [args].

ENTRYPOINT can be overriden with --entrypoint.

Python's datetime does not support the military timezone suffixes like 'Z' suffix for UTC. The following simple string replacement does the trick:

Cluster differs from Cloud and Grid in that a cluster is a group of computers connected by a local area network (LAN), whereas cloud and grid are more wide scale and can be geographically distributed. This is caused by non-matching Spring Boot dependencies. Check your classpath to find the offending resources. You have explicitly included version 1.1.8.RELEASE, but you have also included 3 other projects. Those likely contain different Spring Boot versions, leading to this error.

it may be that your firewalls are preventing you from accessing the localhost's webserver.
Put the IP addresses of both of your computers' internet security antivirus network security as safe IP addresses if required.
How to find the IP address of your windows PC: Start > (Run) type in: cmd (Enter)

Let's say your Apache or IIS webserver is installed on your PC: 192.168.0.3

I used google colab to run my models and everything was perfect untill i used inline tesorboard. With tensorboard inline, I had the same issue of "Module 'tensorflow' has no attribute 'contrib'".

It was able to run training when rebuild and reinstall the model using setup.py(research folder) after initialising tensorboard.

In Python2, input is evaluated, input() is equivalent to eval(raw_input()). When you enter klj, Python tries to evaluate that name and raises an error because that name is not defined.

Use raw_input to get a string from the user in Python2.

In order to replace text using regular expression use the re.sub function:

sub(pattern, repl, string[, count, flags])

It will replace non-everlaping instances of pattern by the text passed as string. If you need to analyze the match to extract information about specific group captures, for instance, you can pass a function to the string argument. more info here.

There are probably a few ways to do this, but one approach would be to merge the two dataframes together on the filename/m column, then populate the column 'n' from the right dataframe if a match was found. The n_x, n_y in the code refer to the left/right dataframes in the merge.

1. I save the diff of the current directory (including uncommitted files) against the current HEAD.
2. Then you can transport the save.patch file to wherever (including binary files).

When we create a customer directive, the scope of the directive could be in Isolated scope, It means the directive does not share a scope with the controller; both directive and controller have their own scope. However, data can be passed to the directive scope in three possible ways.

1. Data can be passed as a string using the @ string literal, pass string value, one way binding.
2. Data can be passed as an object using the = string literal, pass object, 2 ways binding.
3. Data can be passed as a function the & string literal, calls external function, can pass data from directive to controller.

I named it git-line-changes-by-author and put into /usr/local/bin. Because it is saved in my path, I can issue the command git line-changes-by-author --before 2018-12-31 --after 2020-01-01 to get the report for the 2019 year. As an example. And if I were to misspell the name git will suggest the proper spelling.

You may want to adjust the _get_repo_slug sub to only include the last portion of the remote.origin.url as my repos are saved as project/repo and your might not be.

• There's an = sign before the formula
• There's no white space before the = sign
• There are no quotes around the formula (must be =A1, instead of "=A1")
• You're not in formula view (hit Ctrl + ` to switch between modes)

In windows - I wanted to estimate size of mime64 sized buffer, but all precise calculation formula's did not work for me - finally I've ended up with approximate formula like this:

Mine64 string allocation size (approximate) = (((4 * ((binary buffer size) + 1)) / 3) + 1)

So last +1 - it's used for ascii-zero - last character needs to allocated to store zero ending - but why "binary buffer size" is + 1 - I suspect that there is some mime64 termination character ? Or may be this is some alignment issue.

I have used Excel/PowerPivot to create the postgreSQL insert statement. Seems like overkill, except when you need to do it over and over again. Once the data is in the PowerPivot window, I add successive columns with concatenate statements to 'build' the insert statement. I create a flattened pivot table with that last and final column. Copy and paste the resulting insert statement into my EXISTING postgreSQL table with pgAdmin.

Example two column table (my table has 30 columns from which I import successive contents over and over with the same Excel/PowerPivot.)

In PowerPivot I add calculated columns with the following commands:

This is more of an observation than an answer, but it may help others who were as frustrated as I was.

I kept getting this error from two tests in my suite. I thought I had simply broken the tests with the refactoring I was doing, so after backing out changes didn't work, I reverted to earlier code, twice (two revisions back) thinking it'd get rid of the error. Doing so changed nothing. I chased my tail all day yesterday, and part of this morning without resolving the issue.

I got frustrated and checked out the code onto a laptop this morning. Ran the entire test suite (about 180 tests), no errors. So the errors were never in the code or tests. Went back to my dev box and rebooted it to clear anything in memory that might have been causing the issue. No change, same errors on the same two tests. So I deleted the directory from my machine, and checked it back out. Voila! No errors.

No idea what caused it, or how to fix it, but deleting the working directory and checking it back out fixed whatever it was.

I was getting this error when running xcodebuild from commandline for integration tests on my work's CI. I managed to get it working by setting the project level setting to codesign. For some reason the target setting was being ignored and it reverted to the project's setting.

Question 1: Unfortunately the one in which you you say is most intuitive is the least used in Android. As I understand, you should separate your UI (XML) and computational functionality (Java Class Files). It also makes for easier debugging. It is actually a lot easier to read this way and think about Android imo.

Question 2: I believe the two mainly used are #2 and #3. I will use a Button clickButton as an example.

This way as my coworker explains is neater in his eyes, as all the onClick computation is handled in one place and not crowding the onCreate method. But the downside I see is, that the:

1. views themselves,

According to the create table statement, the default charset of the table is already utf8mb4. It seems that you have a wrong connection charset.

In Java, set the datasource url like this: jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/testdb?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf-8.

"?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf-8" is necessary for using utf8mb4.

It works for my application.

.NetCore is a fine release from Microsoft and Visual Studio's latest version is also available for mac but there is still some limitation. Like for creating GUI based application on .net core you have to write code manually for everything. Like in older version of VS we just drag and drop the things and magic happens. But in VS latest version for mac every code has to be written manually. However you can make web application and console application easily on VS for mac.

This code should execute correctly using Linux on x86 as well as ARM (or even CRIS) processors.

This demo program opens and initializes a serial terminal at 115200 baud for non-canonical mode that is as portable as possible.
The program transmits a hardcoded text string to the other terminal, and delays while the output is performed.
The program then enters an infinite loop to receive and display data from the serial terminal.
By default the received data is displayed as hexadecimal byte values.

You can also set a Constraint on a Table with the KEY fields and set On Conflict "Ignore"

When an applicable constraint violation occurs, the IGNORE resolution algorithm skips the one row that contains the constraint violation and continues processing subsequent rows of the SQL statement as if nothing went wrong. Other rows before and after the row that contained the constraint violation are inserted or updated normally. No error is returned when the IGNORE conflict resolution algorithm is used.

I was facing this problem even with use Illuminate\Http\Request; line at the top of my controller. Kept pulling my hair till I realized that I was doing $request::ip() instead of $request->ip(). Can happen to you if you didn't sleep all night and are looking at the code at 6am with half-opened eyes.

Simply, the "Real Time" priority class is higher than "High" priority class. I don't think there's much more to it than that. Oh yeah - you have to have the SeIncreaseBasePriorityPrivilege to put a thread into the Real Time class.

Windows will sometimes boost the priority of a thread for various reasons, but it won't boost the priority of a thread into another priority class. It also won't boost the priority of threads in the real-time priority class. So a High priority thread won't get any automatic temporary boost into the Real Time priority class.

Note that there's absolutely no problem with a thread having a Real-time priority on a normal Windows system - they aren't necessarily for special processes running on dedicatd machines. I imagine that multimedia drivers and/or processes might need threads with a real-time priority. However, such a thread should not require much CPU - it should be blocking most of the time in order for normal system events to get processing.

Currently AFAIK there is no easy way to do this as this information should be stored by index which private registry doesn't have. But depending on how you started registry you have 2 options:

1. if you started registry without -v to store data in separate host folder you can try with docker diff <id_of_registry_container> with this you should get info about changes in container fs. All pushed images should be somewhere in /tmp/registry/repositories/
2. if you started registry with -v just check content of mounted directory on host

If you used "centos" as name it should be in /tmp/registry/repositories/library/centos. This folder will contain text files which describes image structure. Actual data is in /tmp/registry/images/.

As Lucas says, what you are describing is the intended behaviour for the float property. What confuses many people is that float has been pushed well beyond its original intended usage in order to make up for shortcomings in the CSS layout model.

When similar error occurred to me, it was going to be the first merge and first commit. There was nothing in on-line repository. Therefore, there was no code on git-hub, to compare with.

I had a similar issue in windows 7 + ubuntu 12.04 as guest. I resolved by

• open 'network and sharing center' in windows
• right click 'nw-bridge' -> 'properties'
• Select "virtual box host only network" for the option "select adapters you want to use to connect computers on your local network"

No, there is no such printf width specifier to print floating-point with maximum precision. Let me explain why.

The maximum precision of float and double is variable, and dependent on the actual value of the float or double.

Recall float and double are stored in sign.exponent.mantissa format. This means that there are many more bits used for the fractional component for small numbers than for big numbers.

For example, float can easily distinguish between 0.0 and 0.1.

But float has no idea of the difference between 1e27 and 1e27 + 0.1.

This is because all the precision (which is limited by the number of mantissa bits) is used up for the large part of the number, left of the decimal.

The %.f modifier just says how many decimal values you want to print from the float number as far as formatting goes. The fact that the accuracy available depends on the size of the number is up to you as the programmer to handle. printf can't/doesn't handle that for you.

Whenever you pass a string of HTML to any of jQuery's methods, this is what happens:

A temporary element is created, let's call it x. x's innerHTML is set to the string of HTML that you've passed. Then jQuery will transfer each of the produced nodes (that is, x's childNodes) over to a newly created document fragment, which it will then cache for next time. It will then return the fragment's childNodes as a fresh DOM collection.

Note that it's actually a lot more complicated than that, as jQuery does a bunch of cross-browser checks and various other optimisations. E.g. if you pass just <div></div> to jQuery(), jQuery will take a shortcut and simply do document.createElement('div').

innerHTML is generally the faster approach, although don't let that govern what you do all the time. jQuery's approach isn't quite as simple as element.innerHTML = ... -- as I mentioned, there are a bunch of checks and optimisations occurring.

The correct technique depends heavily on the situation. If you want to create a large number of identical elements, then the last thing you want to do is create a massive loop, creating a new jQuery object on every iteration. E.g. the quickest way to create 100 divs with jQuery:

Symmetric Key Cryptography : Symmetric key uses the same key for encryption and decryption. The main challenge with this type of cryptography is the exchange of the secret key between the two parties sender and receiver.

Example : The following example uses symmetric key for encryption and decryption algorithm available as part of the Sun's JCE(Java Cryptography Extension). Sun JCE is has two layers, the crypto API layer and the provider layer.

DES (Data Encryption Standard) was a popular symmetric key algorithm. Presently DES is outdated and considered insecure. Triple DES and a stronger variant of DES. It is a symmetric-key block cipher. There are other algorithms like Blowfish, Twofish and AES(Advanced Encryption Standard). AES is the latest encryption standard over the DES.

Steps :

1. Add the Security Provider : We are using the SunJCE Provider that is available with the JDK.
2. Generate Secret Key : Use KeyGenerator and an algorithm to generate a secret key. We are using DESede.
3. Encode Text : For consistency across platform encode the plain text as byte using UTF-8 encoding.
4. Encrypt Text : Instantiate Cipher with ENCRYPT_MODE, use the secret key and encrypt the bytes.
5. Decrypt Text : Instantiate Cipher with DECRYPT_MODE, use the same secret key and decrypt the bytes.

All the above given steps and concept are same, we just replace algorithms.

Example: Cipher with two modes, they are encrypt and decrypt. we have to start every time after setting mode to encrypt or decrypt a text.

The following hack let's you sleep for 5 seconds

Since ping waits a second between the pings, you have to specify one more than you need.

Try \r\n where \r is carriage return. Also ensure that your output do not have new line, because debugger can show you special characters in form of \n, \r, \t etc.

I had similar problem with regex = "?". It happens for all special characters that have some meaning in a regex. So you need to have "\\" as a prefix to your regex.

Arrays.fill is the best option for general purpose use. If you need to fill large arrays though as of latest idk 1.8 u102, there is a faster way that leverages System.arraycopy. You can take a look at this alternate Arrays.fill implementation:

In any case, these implementations should be used only where needed. JDKs Arrays.fill should be the preferred choice.

Here is my contribution.
I will not try to list all tools/libraries/plugins that exist to take advantage of Docker with Maven. Some answers have already done it.
instead of, I will focus on applications typology and the Dockerfile way.
Dockerfile is really a simple and important concept of Docker (all known/public images rely on that) and I think that trying to avoid understanding and using Dockerfiles is not necessarily the better way to enter in the Docker world.

Dockerizing an application depends on the application itself and the goal to reach

1) For applications that we want to go on to run them on installed/standalone Java server (Tomcat, JBoss, etc...)

The road is harder and that is not the ideal target because that adds complexity (we have to manage/maintain the server) and it is less scalable and less fast than embedded servers in terms of build/deploy/undeploy.
But for legacy applications, that may considered as a first step.
Generally, the idea here is to define a Docker image for the server and to define an image per application to deploy.
The docker images for the applications produce the expected WAR/EAR but these are not executed as container and the image for the server application deploys the components produced by these images as deployed applications.
For huge applications (millions of line of codes) with a lot of legacy stuffs, and so hard to migrate to a full spring boot embedded solution, that is really a nice improvement.
I will not detail more that approach since that is for minor use cases of Docker but I wanted to expose the overall idea of that approach because I think that for developers facing to these complex cases, it is great to know that some doors are opened to integrate Docker.

2) For applications that embed/bootstrap the server themselves (Spring Boot with server embedded : Tomcat, Netty, Jetty...)

That is the ideal target with Docker. I specified Spring Boot because that is a really nice framework to do that and that has also a very high level of maintainability but in theory we could use any other Java way to achieve that.
Generally, the idea here is to define a Docker image per application to deploy.
The docker images for the applications produce a JAR or a set of JAR/classes/configuration files and these start a JVM with the application (java command) when we create and start a container from these images.
For new applications or applications not too complex to migrate, that way has to be favored over standalone servers because that is the standard way and the most efficient way of using containers.
I will detail that approach.

Dockerizing a maven application

1) Without Spring Boot

The idea is to create a fat jar with Maven (the maven assembly plugin and the maven shade plugin help for that) that contains both the compiled classes of the application and needed maven dependencies.
Then we can identify two cases :

• if the application is a desktop or autonomous application (that doesn't need to be deployed on a server) : we could specify as CMD/ENTRYPOINT in the Dockerfile the java execution of the application : java -cp .:/fooPath/* -jar myJar

• if the application is a server application, for example Tomcat, the idea is the same : to get a fat jar of the application and to run a JVM in the CMD/ENTRYPOINT. But here with an important difference : we need to include some logic and specific libraries (org.apache.tomcat.embed libraries and some others) that starts the embedded server when the main application is started.
  We have a comprehensive guide on the heroku website.
  For the first case (autonomous application), that is a straight and efficient way to use Docker.
  For the second case (server application), that works but that is not straight, may be error prone and is not a very extensible model because you don't place your application in the frame of a mature framework such as Spring Boot that does many of these things for you and also provides a high level of extension.
  But that has a advantage : you have a high level of freedom because you use directly the embedded Tomcat API.

2) With Spring Boot

At last, here we go.
That is both simple, efficient and very well documented.
There are really several approaches to make a Maven/Spring Boot application to run on Docker.
Exposing all of them would be long and maybe boring.
The best choice depends on your requirement.
But whatever the way, the build strategy in terms of docker layers looks like the same.
We want to use a multi stage build : one relying on Maven for the dependency resolution and for build and another one relying on JDK or JRE to start the application.

Build stage (Maven image) :

• pom copy to the image
• dependencies and plugins downloads.
  About that, mvn dependency:resolve-plugins chained to mvn dependency:resolve may do the job but not always.
  Why ? Because these plugins and the package execution to package the fat jar may rely on different artifacts/plugins and even for a same artifact/plugin, these may still pull a different version. So a safer approach while potentially slower is resolving dependencies by executing exactly the mvn command used to package the application (which will pull exactly dependencies that you are need) but by skipping the source compilation and by deleting the target folder to make the processing faster and to prevent any undesirable layer change detection for that step.
• source code copy to the image
• package the application

Run stage (JDK or JRE image) :

• copy the jar from the previous stage

Here two examples.

a) A simple way without cache for downloaded maven dependencies

Drawback of that solution ? Any changes in the pom.xml means re-creates the whole layer that download and stores the maven dependencies. That is generally not acceptable for applications with many dependencies (and Spring Boot pulls many dependencies), overall if you don't use a maven repository manager during the image build.

b) A more efficient way with cache for maven dependencies downloaded

The approach is here the same but maven dependencies downloads that are cached in the docker builder cache.
The cache operation relies on buildkit (experimental api of docker).
To enable buildkit, the env variable DOCKER_BUILDKIT=1 has to be set (you can do that where you want : .bashrc, command line, docker daemon json file...).

So in this case if a user enters a null string or whitespace, the use of the return method terminates the Main method elegantly.

When pthread_exit() is called, the calling threads stack is no longer addressable as "active" memory for any other thread. The .data, .text and .bss parts of "static" memory allocations are still available to all other threads. Thus, if you need to pass some memory value into pthread_exit() for some other pthread_join() caller to see, it needs to be "available" for the thread calling pthread_join() to use. It should be allocated with malloc()/new, allocated on the pthread_join threads stack, 1) a stack value which the pthread_join caller passed to pthread_create or otherwise made available to the thread calling pthread_exit(), or 2) a static .bss allocated value.

It's vital to understand how memory is managed between a threads stack, and values store in .data/.bss memory sections which are used to store process wide values.

I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure this problem out for several pages of a new site I'm developing and nothing seemed to work (including any of the various solutions presented above that I implemented. I'm guessing jQuery has just changed things up enough since they were suggested that the solutions dont' work any longer. I don't know. Honestly, I don't understand why there isn't something simple implemented into the jQuery ui to configure this, as it seems to be a fairly large issue with the calendar always popping up at some position considerably far down the page from the input to which it is attached.

Col. Shrapnel's SafeMySQL library for PHP provides type-hinted placeholders in its parametrised queries, and includes a couple of convenient placeholders for working with arrays. The ?a placeholder expands out an array to a comma-separated list of escaped strings*.

Check the man page for more info on the cut command.

The main (very interesting) difference for me is that:
"string" & Null -> "string"
while
"string" + Null -> Null

But that's probably more useful in database apps like Access.

The lock statement is translated to calls to the Enter and Exit methods of Monitor.

The lock statement will wait indefinitely for the locking object to be released.

The task gives you all the goodness of the task API:

• Adding continuations (Task.ContinueWith)
• Waiting for multiple tasks to complete (either all or any)

• Using await in C# 5

The copy command is a SQL*Plus command (not a SQL Developer command). If you have your tnsname entries setup for SID1 and SID2 (e.g. try a tnsping), you should be able to execute your command.

Another assumption is that table1 has the same columns as the message_table (and the columns have only the following data types: CHAR, DATE, LONG, NUMBER or VARCHAR2). Also, with an insert command, you would need to be concerned about primary keys (e.g. that you are not inserting duplicate records).

I tried a variation of your command as follows in SQL*Plus (with no errors):

copy from scott/tiger@db1 to scott/tiger@db2 create new_emp using select * from emp;

After I executed the above statement, I also truncate the new_emp table and executed this command:

With SQL Developer, you could do the following to perform a similar approach to copying objects:

1. On the tool bar, select Tools>Database copy.

2. Identify source and destination connections with the copy options you would like.

3. For object type, select table(s).

4. Specify the specific table(s) (e.g. table1).

The copy command approach is old and its features are not being updated with the release of new data types. There are a number of more current approaches to this like Oracle's data pump (even for tables).

Reducing the RAM size in the AVD settings worked for me. The AVD being slow can eat up a lot of RAM, so keeping it at a minimum is feasible.

This works for me:

You will always only get an indent error if there is actually an indent error. Double check that your final line is indented the same was as the other lines -- either with spaces or with tabs. Most likely, some of the lines had spaces (or tabs) and the other line had tabs (or spaces).

Trust in the error message -- if it says something specific, assume it to be true and figure out why.

Try this, which I think makes it clear. the underlying array is changed but our slice is not, print just prints len() chars, by another slice to the cap(), you can see the changed array:

While I commiserate with your concern about lacking this language feature, you're probably just going to want to use a normal for loop. And you'll probably be more okay with that than you think as you write more Go code.

I wrote this iter package — which is backed by a simple, idiomatic for loop that returns values over a chan int — in an attempt to improve on the design found in https://github.com/bradfitz/iter, which has been pointed out to have caching and performance issues, as well as a clever, but strange and unintuitive implementation. My own version operates the same way:

In the process, this benchmark also shows how the bradfitz solution underperforms in comparison to the built-in for clause for a loop size of 10.

In short, there appears to be no way discovered so far to duplicate the performance of the built-in for clause while providing a simple syntax for [0,n) like the one found in Python and Ruby.

Which is a shame because it would probably be easy for the Go team to add a simple rule to the compiler to change a line like

to the same machine code as for i := 0; i < 10; i++.

However, to be fair, after writing my own iter.N (but before benchmarking it), I went back through a recently written program to see all the places I could use it. There actually weren't many. There was only one spot, in a non-vital section of my code, where I could get by without the more complete, default for clause.

So while it may look like this is a huge disappointment for the language in principle, you may find — like I did — that you actually don't really need it in practice. Like Rob Pike is known to say for generics, you might not actually miss this feature as much as you think you will.

Using the request object, you can filter also so the header won't be set for every request.

The error happens because of you are trying to map a numeric vector to data in geom_errorbar: GVW[1:64,3]. ggplot only works with data.frame.

In general, you shouldn't subset inside ggplot calls. You are doing so because your standard errors are stored in four separate objects. Add them to your original data.frame and you will be able to plot everything in one call.

Here with a dplyr solution to summarise the data and compute the standard error beforehand.

This is real ASCII:

Otherwise, it will trim out newlines and other special characters that are part of the ASCII table!

I ran into the problem when venturing to use numpy.concatenate to emulate a C++ like pushback for 2D-vectors; If A and B are two 2D numpy.arrays, then numpy.concatenate(A,B) yields the error.

The fix was to simply to add the missing brackets: numpy.concatenate( ( A,B ) ), which are required because the arrays to be concatenated constitute to a single argument

Update your gradle build tools in project level gradle , and it will show you the exact resource that is causing the error.

What this message from the glibc dynamic linker actually means is that the library mentioned (/lib/libpam.so.0 in your case) doesn't have the VERDEF ELF section while the binary (authpam in your case) has some version definitions in VERNEED section for this library (presumably, libpam.so.0). You can easily see it with readelf, just look at .gnu.version_d and .gnu.version_r sections (or lack thereof).

So it's not a symbol version mismatch, because if the binary wanted to get some specific version via VERNEED and the library didn't provide it in its actual VERDEF, that would be a hard linker error and the binary wouldn't run at all (like this compared to this or that). It's that the binary wants some versions, but the library doesn't provide any information about its versions.

What does it mean in practice? Usually, exactly what is seen in this example — nothing, things just work ignoring versioning. Could things break? Of course, yes, so the other answers are correct in the fact that one should use the same libraries at runtime as the ones the binary was linked to at build time.

The Git plugin has an option (excluded region) to use regexes to determine whether to skip building based on whether files in the commit match the excluded region regex.

Unfortunately, the stock Git plugin does not have a "included region" feature at this time (1.15). However, someone posted patches on GitHub that work on Jenkins and Hudson that implement the feature you want.

It is a little work to build, but it works as advertised and has been extremely useful since one of my Git trees has multiple independent projects.
