As suggested by other answers, --build-arg may be the solution. In my case, I had to add --network=host in addition to the --build-arg options.

Not all programs do the same thing or run on the same hardware.

This is usually the answer why various language features exist. Arrays are a core computer science concept. Replacing arrays with lists/matrices/vectors/whatever advanced data structure would severely impact performance, and be downright impracticable in a number of systems. There are any number of cases where using one of these "advanced" data collection objects should be used because of the program in question.

In business programming (which most of us do), we can target hardware that is relatively powerful. Using a List in C# or Vector in Java is the right choice to make in these situations because these structures allow the developer to accomplish the goals faster, which in turn allows this type of software to be more featured.

When writing embedded software or an operating system an array may often be the better choice. While an array offers less functionality, it takes up less RAM, and the compiler can optimize code more efficiently for look-ups into arrays.

I am sure I am leaving out a number of the benefits for these cases, but I hope you get the point.

I think you maybe want ts_create as datetime (so rename -> dt_create) and only ts_update as timestamp? This will ensure it remains unchanging once set.

My understanding is that datetime is for manually-controlled values, and timestamp's a bit "special" in that MySQL will maintain it for you. In this case, datetime is therefore a good choice for ts_create.

I also had the same issue. I changed it to the following and it worked.

By default if you do not specify http method in a form it uses GET. To use POST method you need specifically state it.

What gives this away is the word transaction. It is evident by the statement that the query was attempting to change at least one row in one or more InnoDB tables.

Since you know the query, all the tables being accessed are candidates for being the culprit.

From there, you should be able to run SHOW ENGINE INNODB STATUS\G

You should be able to see the affected table(s)

You get all kinds of additional Locking and Mutex Information.

You should consider increasing the lock wait timeout value for InnoDB by setting the innodb_lock_wait_timeout, default is 50 sec

The first parameter to LayoutParams is the width and the second is the height. So if you want the width to be FILL_PARENT, but the width to be, say, 20px, then use something new LayoutParams(FILL_PARENT, 20). Of course you should never use actual pixels in your code; you'll need to conver that to density-independent pixels, but you get the idea. Also, you need to make sure your parent LinearLayout has the right width and height that you're looking for. Seems to be you want the LinearLayout to fill the parent width-wise and then have the adview fill that linearlayout witdh-wise as well, so you probably need to specify android:layout_width:"fill_parent" and android:layout_height:"wrap_content" in your linear layout's xml.

I am not new to stackoverflow, just never had an account and usually came here for answers. I can't comment or vote up an answer yet. BUT wanted to say that the code from Michael Bacon above works really well. I am new to Python but not to programming. I have been reading Python Crash Course and there are a few things I wanted to do to break up the reading cover to cover approach. One utility that has uses from an ETL or even data quality perspective would be to capture the row count of a file independently from any ETL. The file has X number of rows, you import into SQL or Hadoop and you end up with X number of rows. You can validate at the lowest level the row count of a raw data file.

I have been playing with his code and doing some testing and this code is very efficient so far. I have created several different CSV files, various sizes, and row counts. You can see my code below and my comments provide the times and details. The code Michael Bacon above provided runs about 6 times faster than the normal Python method of just looping the lines.

An Investigator to the Rescue

Many frameworks like Laravel , Django ,... run local web server that work on another port except 80.For example port 8000 is the most commen port that these local web servers use.

So when you run web servers that frameworks build them and type localhost:8000 it works well.But web server that xampp(apache) runs it has another port.In default it has 80 that it does not need to type it in url.And if you change port you should mention it in url.

**In brief:**web server in framework is different from web server in xampp . Check the port of each server and mention it in url when you use them.

PATH is an environment variable, and can be displayed with the echo command:

echo $PATH

It's a list of paths separated by the colon character ':'

The which command tells you which file gets executed when you run a command:

which lshw

sometimes what you get is a path to a symlink; if you want to trace that link to where the actual executable lives, you can use readlink and feed it the output of which:

readlink -f $(which lshw)

The -f parameter instructs readlink to keep following the symlink recursively.

Here's an example from my machine:

An error in your httpd.conf or other Apache config files will cause this. Revert httpd.conf et al to the pristine, installer versions and see if Apache runs again.

(I tried Skype and other suggestions here, no luck, but logs [XAMPP > Apache > Logs button] showed that it ran once when first installed. That was the giveaway.)

Likely errors:

• Did you edit with a Windows text editor that changes line endings to non-Unix? (Solution here.)
• Missing or invalid DSO files (.so)

You can use the function toprettyxml() from xml.dom.minidom in order to do that:

Most of the time after the installation of Eclipse eclipse.ini is changed. If you change the jdk in eclipse.ini then eclipse will use this jdk by default.

Let's say you install a new version of Eclipse and you have forgotten to change the eclipse.ini related to the jdk. Then Eclipse finds a jdk for you. Let's say it is java 1.6 that was automatically discovered (you did nothing).

If you use maven (M2E) and you reference a 1.7 jdk then you will see the frustrating message. But normally it is not displayed because you configure the correct jdk in eclipse.ini.

That was my case. I made reference into the pom to a jdk that was not configured into Eclipse.

In the screenshot you can see that 1.7 is configured and seen by Eclipse. In this case, you should make reference into the pom to a jre that is compatible with 1.7! If not -> frustrating message!

Overview

Synchronized keyword in Java has to do with thread-safety, that is, when multiple threads read or write the same variable.
This can happen directly (by accessing the same variable) or indirectly (by using a class that uses another class that accesses the same variable).

The synchronized keyword is used to define a block of code where multiple threads can access the same variable in a safe way.

Deeper

Syntax-wise the synchronized keyword takes an Object as it's parameter (called a lock object), which is then followed by a { block of code }.

• When execution encounters this keyword, the current thread tries to "lock/acquire/own" (take your pick) the lock object and execute the associated block of code after the lock has been acquired.

• Any writes to variables inside the synchronized code block are guaranteed to be visible to every other thread that similarly executes code inside a synchronized code block using the same lock object.

• Only one thread at a time can hold the lock, during which time all other threads trying to acquire the same lock object will wait (pause their execution). The lock will be released when execution exits the synchronized code block.

Synchronized methods:

Adding synchronized keyword to a method definition is equal to the entire method body being wrapped in a synchronized code block with the lock object being this (for instance methods) and ClassInQuestion.getClass() (for class methods).

- Instance method is a method which does not have static keyword.
- Class method is a method which has static keyword.

Technical

Without synchronization, it is not guaranteed in which order the reads and writes happen, possibly leaving the variable with garbage.
(For example a variable could end up with half of the bits written by one thread and half of the bits written by another thread, leaving the variable in a state that neither of the threads tried to write, but a combined mess of both.)

It is not enough to complete a write operation in a thread before (wall-clock time) another thread reads it, because hardware could have cached the value of the variable, and the reading thread would see the cached value instead of what was written to it.

Conclusion

Thus in Java's case, you have to follow the Java Memory Model to ensure that threading errors do not happen.
In other words: Use synchronization, atomic operations or classes that use them for you under the hoods.

Rather than manually looping, prefer using the appropriate C++ algorithm, in this case std::generate_n, with a proper random number generator:

This is close to something I would call the “canonical” solution for this problem.

Unfortunately, correctly seeding a generic C++ random number generator (e.g. MT19937) is really hard. The above code therefore uses a helper function template, random_generator:

With C#6.0 you also have a new way of formatting date when using string interpolation e.g.

will draw a rectangle in the image, but the return value will be None, so img changes to None and cannot be drawn.

Try

strcat attempts to append the second parameter to the first. This won't work since you are assigning implicitly sized constant strings.

If all you want to do is print two strings out

To "loop" and take advantage of Spark's parallel computation framework, you could define a custom function and use map.

I think your code is a bit too complicated and it needs more structure, because otherwise you'll be lost in all equations and operations. In the end this regression boils down to four operations:

1. Calculate the hypothesis h = X * theta
2. Calculate the loss = h - y and maybe the squared cost (loss^2)/2m
3. Calculate the gradient = X' * loss / m
4. Update the parameters theta = theta - alpha * gradient

In your case, I guess you have confused m with n. Here m denotes the number of examples in your training set, not the number of features.

You need to take care about the intuition of the regression using gradient descent. As you do a complete batch pass over your data X, you need to reduce the m-losses of every example to a single weight update. In this case, this is the average of the sum over the gradients, thus the division by m.

The next thing you need to take care about is to track the convergence and adjust the learning rate. For that matter you should always track your cost every iteration, maybe even plot it.

HTML5 <picture> tag will help you to resolve the right image source depending on the screen width

Apparently the browsers behaviour hasn't changed much over the past 5 years and many would still download the hidden images, even if there was a display: none property set on them.

Even though there's a media queries workaround, it could only be useful when the image was set as a background in the CSS.

While I was thinking that there's just a JS solution to the problem (lazy load, picturefill, etc.), it appeared that there's a nice pure HTML solution that comes out of the box with HTML5.

And that is the <picture> tag.

Here's how MDN describes it:

The HTML <picture> element is a container used to specify multiple <source> elements for a specific <img> contained in it. The browser will choose the most suitable source according to the current layout of the page (the constraints of the box the image will appear in) and the device it will be displayed on (e.g. a normal or hiDPI device.)

And here's how to use it:

The logic behind

The browser would load the source of the img tag, only if none of the media rules applies. When the <picture> element is not supported by the browser, it will again fallback to showing the img tag.

Normally you'd put the smallest image as the source of the <img> and thus not load the heavy images for larger screens. Vice versa, if a media rule applies, the source of the <img> will not be downloaded, instead it will download the url's contents of the corresponding <source> tag.

Only pitfall here is that if the element is not supported by the browser, it will only load the small image. On the other hand in 2017 we ought to think and code in the mobile first approach.

And before someone got too exited, here's the current browser support for <picture>:

The good thing is that html5please's sentence is to use it with a fallback. And I personally intend to take their advise.

More about the tag you can find in the W3C's specification. There's a disclaimer there, which I find important to mention:

The picture element is somewhat different from the similar-looking video and audio elements. While all of them contain source elements, the source element’s src attribute has no meaning when the element is nested within a picture element, and the resource selection algorithm is different. As well, the picture element itself does not display anything; it merely provides a context for its contained img element that enables it to choose from multiple URLs.

So what it says is that it only helps you improve the performance when loading an image, by providing some context to it.

And you can still use some CSS magic in order to hide the image on small devices:

Filenames can include spaces and even control characters. Spaces are (default) delimiters for shell expansion in bash and as a result of that x=$(find . -name "*.txt") from the question is not recommended at all. If find gets a filename with spaces e.g. "the file.txt" you will get 2 separated strings for processing, if you process x in a loop. You can improve this by changing delimiter (bash IFS Variable) e.g. to \r\n, but filenames can include control characters - so this is not a (completely) safe method.

From my point of view, there are 2 recommended (and safe) patterns for processing files:

1. Use for loop & filename expansion:

1. bash returns the search pattern ("*.txt") if no matching file is found - so the extra line "continue, if file does not exist" is needed. see Bash Manual, Filename Expansion

3. "If the failglob shell option is set, and no matches are found, an error message is printed and the command is not executed." (from Bash Manual above)
4. shell option globstar: "If set, the pattern ‘**’ used in a filename expansion context will match all files and zero or more directories and subdirectories. If the pattern is followed by a ‘/’, only directories and subdirectories match." see Bash Manual, Shopt Builtin

See David A. Wheeler below for detailed discussion of this topic.

2. There are some possible patterns to process find results in a while loop. Others (kevin, David W.) have shown how to do this using pipes:

This is why I recommend using process substitution as the "better", more useful, more general pattern.

The command for that is something roughly like:

ifconfig eth0:fakenfs 192.0.2.55 netmask 255.255.255.255

Where 192.0.2.55 is the IP of the NFS server that went away. You should then be able to ping the address, and you should also be able to unmount the filesystem (use unmount -f). You should then destroy the aliased interface so you no longer route traffic to the old NFS server to yourself with:

ifconfig eth0:fakenfs down

FreeBSD and similar operating systems

The command would be something like:

ifconfig em0 alias 192.0.2.55 netmask 255.255.255.255

And then to remove it:

ifconfig em0 delete 192.0.2.55

You can use the cross-env npm package. It will take care of trimming the environment variable, and will also make sure it works across different platforms.

I think you want to cast your dt to a date and fix the format of your date literal:

One source of interesting exploits has not been mentioned. PHP allows strings to have 0x00 bytes in them. Underlying (libc) functions treat this as the end of a string.

This allows for situations where (poorly implemented) sanity-checking in PHP can be fooled, e.g. in a situation like:

Visual Studio Code shows a link at the top of a Go test file which lets you run all the tests in just that file.

In the "Output" window, you can see that it automatically generates a regex which contains all of the test names in the current file:

I found this to be a simple understandable and easily explainable solution

console.log() just takes whatever you pass to it and writes it to a console's log window. If you pass in an array, you'll be able to inspect the array's contents. Pass in an object, you can examine the object's attributes/methods. pass in a string, it'll log the string. Basically it's "document.write" but can intelligently take apart its arguments and write them out elsewhere.

It's useful to outputting occasional debugging information, but not particularly useful if you have a massive amount of debugging output.

To watch as a script's executing, you'd use a debugger instead, which allows you step through the code line-by-line. console.log's used when you need to display what some variable's contents were for later inspection, but do not want to interrupt execution.

You can put \r\n in your string.

UPDATE 2019: I keep getting upvotes on this and that reminded me of another suggestion

Double quotes are string interpolation in PHP, so if you're going to use variables in a double quotes string, it's pointless to use the concat operator. On the flip side, single quotes are not string interpolation, so if you've only got like one variable at the end of a string it can make sense, or just use it for the whole string.

In fact, there's a micro op available here since the interpreter doesn't care about parsing the string for variables. The boost is nearly unnoticable and totally ignorable on a small scale. However, in a very large application, especially good old legacy monoliths, there can be a noticeable performance increase if strings are used like this. (and IMO, it's easier to read anyway)

There are two approaches, you can code in JScript or VBScript which do have the construct or you can fudge it in your code.

Little known: the GO sql statement can take an integer for the number of times to repeat previous command.

So if you:

This will repeat the USE command 2000 times, force deadlock on all other connections, and take ownership of the single connection. (Giving your query window sole access to do as you wish.)

You need to set

WindowStyle="None", AllowsTransparency="True" and optionally ResizeMode="NoResize"
and then set the Style property of the window to your custom window style, where you design the appearance of the window (title bar, buttons, border) to anything you want and display the window contents in a ContentPresenter.

This seems to be a good article on how you can achieve this, but there are many other articles on the internet.

To get around the problem, find out where pymysql is installed.

If for example it is installed in /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages, add the following code above the import pymysql command:

Disposing of a Working Copy

Subversion doesn't track either the state or the existence of working copies on the server, so there's no server overhead to keeping working copies around. Likewise, there's no need to let the server know that you're going to delete a working copy.

If you're likely to use a working copy again, there's nothing wrong with just leaving it on disk until you're ready to use it again, at which point all it takes is an svn update to bring it up to date and ready for use.

However, if you're definitely not going to use a working copy again, you can safely delete the entire thing using whatever directory removal capabilities your operating system offers. We recommend that before you do so you run svn status and review any files listed in its output that are prefixed with a ? to make certain that they're not of importance.

When you want to reuse it, then it might be interesting to know how that would look like. If you issue several commands than those could be grouped in a package. The private package variable trick from above has its downsides. When you add variables to a package, you give it state and now it doesn't act as a stateless bunch of functions but as some weird sort of singleton object instance instead.

e.g. When you recompile the body, it will raise exceptions in sessions that already used it before. (because the variable values got invalided)

However, you could declare the type in a package (or globally in sql), and use it as a paramter in methods that should use it.

We render the PDF file pages as PNG files on the server using JPedal (a java library). That, combined with some javascript, gives us high control over visualization and navigation.

The Groovy script you provided is formatting the first line as a blank line in the resultant script. The shebang, telling the script to run with /bin/bash instead of /bin/sh, needs to be on the first line of the file or it will be ignored.

So instead, you should format your Groovy like this:

If u.id_fu is a numeric field then you can remove the ' around them. The same for vizibility. Only if the field is a text field (data type char, varchar or one of the text-datatype e.g. longtext) then the value has to be enclosed by ' or even ".

Also I and Oracle too recommend to enclose table and field names in backticks. So you won't get into trouble if a field name contains a keyword.

Arbitrary attributes are not valid, but are perfectly reliable in modern browsers. If you are setting the properties via javascript, than you don't have to worry about validation as well.

An alternative is to set attributes in javascript. jQuery has a nice utility method just for that purpose, or you can roll your own.

400 Bad Request would now seem to be the best HTTP/1.1 status code for your use case.

At the time of your question (and my original answer), RFC 7231 was not a thing; at which point I objected to 400 Bad Request because RFC 2616 said (with emphasis mine):

The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax.

and the request you describe is syntactically valid JSON encased in syntactically valid HTTP, and thus the server has no issues with the syntax of the request.

However as pointed out by Lee Saferite in the comments, RFC 7231, which obsoletes RFC 2616, does not include that restriction:

The 400 (Bad Request) status code indicates that the server cannot or will not process the request due to something that is perceived to be a client error (e.g., malformed request syntax, invalid request message framing, or deceptive request routing).

However, prior to that re-wording (or if you want to quibble about RFC 7231 only being a proposed standard right now), 422 Unprocessable Entity does not seem an incorrect HTTP status code for your use case, because as the introduction to RFC 4918 says:

While the status codes provided by HTTP/1.1 are sufficient to describe most error conditions encountered by WebDAV methods, there are some errors that do not fall neatly into the existing categories. This specification defines extra status codes developed for WebDAV methods (Section 11)

And the description of 422 says:

The 422 (Unprocessable Entity) status code means the server understands the content type of the request entity (hence a 415(Unsupported Media Type) status code is inappropriate), and the syntax of the request entity is correct (thus a 400 (Bad Request) status code is inappropriate) but was unable to process the contained instructions.

(Note the reference to syntax; I suspect 7231 partly obsoletes 4918 too)

This sounds exactly like your situation, but just in case there was any doubt, it goes on to say:

For example, this error condition may occur if an XML request body contains well-formed (i.e., syntactically correct), but semantically erroneous, XML instructions.

(Replace "XML" with "JSON" and I think we can agree that's your situation)

Now, some will object that RFC 4918 is about "HTTP Extensions for Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV)" and that you (presumably) are doing nothing involving WebDAV so shouldn't use things from it.

Given the choice between using an error code in the original standard that explicitly doesn't cover the situation, and one from an extension that describes the situation exactly, I would choose the latter.

Furthermore, RFC 4918 Section 21.4 refers to the IANA Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) Status Code Registry, where 422 can be found.

I propose that it is totally reasonable for an HTTP client or server to use any status code from that registry, so long as they do so correctly.

But as of HTTP/1.1, RFC 7231 has traction, so just use 400 Bad Request!

However, assuming you mean you want to assign a different class to a div in response to an event, the answer is yes, you can certainly do this with jQuery. I am only a jQuery beginner, but I have used the following in my code:

you could also change from the .get() method to the .getJSON() method, jQuery will then parse the string returned as data to a javascript object and/or array that you can then reference like any other javascript object/array.

using your code above, if you changed .get to .getJSON, you should get an alert of [object Object] for each element in the array. If you changed the alert to alert(item.name) you will get the names.

There are four elements that will alter the meaning of the file output read by many Bash solutions:

1. The blank line 4;
2. Leading or trailing spaces on two lines;
3. Maintaining the meaning of individual lines (i.e., each line is a record);
4. The line 6 not terminated with a CR.

If you want the text file line by line including blank lines and terminating lines without CR, you must use a while loop and you must have an alternate test for the final line.

Here are the methods that may change the file (in comparison to what cat returns):

1) Lose the last line and leading and trailing spaces:

In my case, I used an anonymous function as a wrapper for the angular module, like this:

Just stumbled upon this and thought I would suggest my solution. I typically like to use the built in functionality of assigning a range to an multi-dim array (I guess it's also the JS Programmer in me).

cause $image is the value, so $images[$image] make no sense.

Not a direct answer, but I've seen many borked prod data situations that could have been avoided by typing the WHERE clause first! Sometimes a WHERE 1 = 0 can help with putting a working statement together safely too. And looking at an estimated execution plan, which will estimate rows affected, can be useful. Beyond that, in a transaction that you roll back as others have said.

You're comparing strings. JavaScript compares the ASCII code for each character of the string.

To see why you get false, look at the charCodes:

"1300".charCodeAt(0);
49
"999".charCodeAt(0);

The comparison is false because, when comparing the strings, the character codes for 1 is not greater than that of 9.

The fix is to treat the strings as numbers. You can use a number of methods:

You should use the csv module to read the tab-separated value file. Do not read it into memory in one go. Each row you read has all the information you need to write rows to the output CSV file, after all. Keep the output file open throughout.

You can use SHOW:

SHOW max_connections;

This returns the currently effective setting. Be aware that it can differ from the setting in postgresql.conf as there are a multiple ways to set run-time parameters in PostgreSQL. To reset the "original" setting from postgresql.conf in your current session:

RESET max_connections;

However, not applicable to this particular setting. The manual:

This parameter can only be set at server start.

There is a dirty trick, what I have used:

I am using bootstrap, so I just added .disabled class to the element which I want to disable. Bootstrap handles the rest of the things.

The answer by Tony Andrews is a decent one. But the real answer is that this has been a convention used by relational database community and is NOT a necessity. Maybe it is a good convention, maybe not.

Comparing anything to NULL results in UNKNOWN (3rd truth value). So as has been suggested with nulls all traditional wisdom concerning equality goes out the window. Well that's how it seems at first glance.

But I don't think this is necessarily so and even SQL databases don't think that NULL destroys all possibility for comparison.

Run in your database the query SELECT * FROM VALUES(NULL) UNION SELECT * FROM VALUES(NULL)

What you see is just one tuple with one attribute that has the value NULL. So the union recognized here the two NULL values as equal.

When comparing a composite key that has 3 components to a tuple with 3 attributes (1, 3, NULL) = (1, 3, NULL) <=> 1 = 1 AND 3 = 3 AND NULL = NULL The result of this is UNKNOWN.

But we could define a new kind of comparison operator eg. ==. X == Y <=> X = Y OR (X IS NULL AND Y IS NULL)

Having this kind of equality operator would make composite keys with null components or non-composite key with null value unproblematic.

You can understand the code compile structure from reading the actual code. Run-time structure are not clear unless you understand the pattern that was used.

The reason why your code doesn't work is because $watch by default does reference check. So in a nutshell it make sure that the object which is passed to it is new object. But in your case you are just modifying some property of form object not creating a new one. In order to make it work you can pass true as the third parameter.

• is stable - being around for so many years, it lacks any major problems
• dictates the standards in the ORM field
• implements the standard (JPA), in addition to dictating it.
• has tons of information about it on the Internet. There are many tutorials, common problem solutions, etc
• is powerful - you can translate a very complex object model into a relational model.
• it has support for any major and medium RDBMS
• is easy to work with, once you learn it well

A few points on why (and when) to use ORM:

• you work with objects in your system (if your system has been designed well). Even if using JDBC, you will end up making some translation layer, so that you transfer your data to your objects. But my bets are that hibernate is better at translation than any custom-made solution.
• it doesn't deprive you of control. You can control things in very small details, and if the API doesn't have some remote feature - execute a native query and you have it.
• any medium-sized or bigger system can't afford having one ton of queries (be it at one place or scattered across), if it aims to be maintainable
• if performance isn't critical. Hibernate adds performance overhead, which in some cases can't be ignored.

I was hoping for a more elegant way to do this but the to_posix_ts is already in my standard tool chain so I'm moving on.

A combination of both float: left; white-space: nowrap; worked for me.

Each of them independently didn't accomplish the desired result.

This is what I use in Kotlin:

The text at the navigation bar is normally colored by using one of the two following css classes in the bootstrap.css file.

Firstly, in case of using a default navigation bar (the gray one), the .navbar-default class will be used and the text is colored as dark gray.

I had the same thing. All came down to a "d" instead of a "D" in a tag name in the schema.

If you want to use std::string reliably, you must #include <string>.

You can also do ORDER BY TITLE COLLATE NOCASE.

TL;DR: Use StandardError instead for general exception catching. When the original exception is re-raised (e.g. when rescuing to log the exception only), rescuing Exception is probably okay.

Exception is the root of Ruby's exception hierarchy, so when you rescue Exception you rescue from everything, including subclasses such as SyntaxError, LoadError, and Interrupt.

Rescuing Interrupt prevents the user from using CTRLC to exit the program.

Rescuing SignalException prevents the program from responding correctly to signals. It will be unkillable except by kill -9.

Rescuing SyntaxError means that evals that fail will do so silently.

All of these can be shown by running this program, and trying to CTRLC or kill it:

Rescuing from Exception isn't even the default. Doing

does not rescue from Exception, it rescues from StandardError. You should generally specify something more specific than the default StandardError, but rescuing from Exception broadens the scope rather than narrowing it, and can have catastrophic results and make bug-hunting extremely difficult.

If you have a situation where you do want to rescue from StandardError and you need a variable with the exception, you can use this form:

For some odd reason, the "Game development with Unity" tool can become disabled in Visual Studio.

To fix this..

1. Open Visual Studio
2. Go to Extensions ? "Manage Extensions" ? Installed
3. Find "Visual Studio 2019 Tools for Unity"
4. If it is disabled, enable it
5. Restart VS

I had the same problem. I solve it when I convert string to factor. In your case, check the class of variable and check if they are numeric and 'train and test' should be factor.

It's been more than 10 years and not sure if anyone still finding this question or answer relevant.

But a quick workaround is just to wrap the asp control within a html container

e.g

So if we call AX it should return

if we call AH it should return

0000 0000

and when we call AL it should return

You will have to submit this data to the server somehow. I'm assuming that you don't want to do a full page reload every time a user clicks a link, so you'll have to user XHR (AJAX). If you are not using jQuery (or some other JS library) you can read this tutorial on how to do the XHR request "by hand".
