A functional requirement describes what a software system should do, while non-functional requirements place constraints on how the system will do so.

Let me elaborate.

An example of a functional requirement would be:

• A system must send an email whenever a certain condition is met (e.g. an order is placed, a customer signs up, etc).

A related non-functional requirement for the system may be:

• Emails should be sent with a latency of no greater than 12 hours from such an activity.

The functional requirement is describing the behavior of the system as it relates to the system's functionality. The non-functional requirement elaborates a performance characteristic of the system.

Typically non-functional requirements fall into areas such as:

Non-functional requirements are sometimes defined in terms of metrics (i.e. something that can be measured about the system) to make them more tangible. Non-functional requirements may also describe aspects of the system that don't relate to its execution, but rather to its evolution over time (e.g. maintainability, extensibility, documentation, etc.).

I faced this problem after installing clean Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS,

When I search about KB2999226 install fails during Visual Studio I also saw that I couldn't install any other updates.

By the way, I found a solution. When formatting some PCs with ( maybe ) partly corrupted bootable media, first Update for windows not completely installed.

As a solution;

1- Disable update for windows from Control Panel.

2- Restart your pc.

3- Install KB3102810 windows update. ( First update for Windows )

In python, integers and strings are immutable and are passed by value. You cannot pass a string, or integer, to a function and expect the argument to be modified.

So to convert string limit="100" to a number, you need to do

limit = int(limit) # will return new object (integer) and assign to "limit"

If you really want to go around it, you can use a list. Lists are mutable in python; when you pass a list, you pass it's reference, not copy. So you could do:

def int_in_place(mutable):
    mutable[0] = int(mutable[0])

mutable = ["1000"]
int_in_place(mutable)
# now mutable is a list with a single integer

But you should not need it really. (maybe sometimes when you work with recursions and need to pass some mutable state).

Solved the issue. Change your class name to make only the first letter capitalized. so if you got something like 'MyClass' change it to 'Myclass'. apply it to both the file name and class name.

If you do not have control of the server

I just had this issue, and was able to work around it.

First, connect to the MySQL database with an older client that doesn't mind old_passwords. Connect using the user that your script will be using.

Run these queries:

SET SESSION old_passwords=FALSE;
SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('[your password]');

In your PHP script, change your mysql_connect function to include the client flag 1:

Very often you have no option to setup the sending server so what I did I changed the XMLHttpRequest.open call in my javascript to a local get-file.php file where I have the following code in it:

In my case this solved the restriction/situation just perfectly. No need to hack Firefox or servers. Just load your javascript/html file with that small php file into the server and you're done.

That's the hard way, and those java.util.Date setter methods have been deprecated since Java 1.1 (1997). Simply format the date using SimpleDateFormat using a format pattern matching the input string.

In your specific case of "January 2, 2010" as the input string:

1. "January" is the full text month, so use the MMMM pattern for it
2. "2" is the short day-of-month, so use the d pattern for it.
3. "2010" is the 4-digit year, so use the yyyy pattern for it.

String string = "January 2, 2010";
DateFormat format = new SimpleDateFormat("MMMM d, yyyy", Locale.ENGLISH);
Date date = format.parse(string);

Note the importance of the explicit Locale argument. If you omit it, then it will use the default locale which is not necessarily English as used in the month name of the input string. Similarly, LocalDate#parse(text) parses an ISO date without the time component (see ISO_LOCAL_DATE), and ZonedDateTime#parse(text) parses an ISO date with an offset and time zone added (see ISO_ZONED_DATE_TIME).

tl;dr

Use neither.

• java.time.Instant replaces java.util.Date
• java.time.LocalDate replaces java.sql.Date

java.util.Date vs java.sql.Date: when to use which and why?

Both of these classes are terrible, flawed in design and in implementation. Avoid like the Plague Coronavirus.

Instead use java.time classes, defined in in JSR 310. These classes are an industry-leading framework for working with date-time handling. These supplant entirely the bloody awful legacy classes such as Date, Calendar, SimpleDateFormat, and such.

java.util.Date

The first, java.util.Date is meant to represent a moment in UTC, meaning an offset from UTC of zero hours-minutes-seconds.

java.time.Instant

Now replaced by java.time.Instant.

Instant instant = Instant.now() ;  // Capture the current moment as seen in UTC.

java.time.OffsetDateTime

Instant is the basic building-block class of java.time. For more flexibility, use OffsetDateTime set to ZoneOffset.UTC for the same purpose: representing a moment in UTC.

OffsetDateTime odt = OffsetDateTime.now( ZoneOffset.UTC ) ;

You can send this object to a database by using PreparedStatement::setObject with JDBC 4.2 or later.

java.sql.Date

The java.sql.Date class is also terrible and obsolete.

This class is meant to represent a date only, without a time-of-day and without a time zone. Unfortunately, in a terrible hack of a design, this class inherits from java.util.Date which represents a moment (a date with time-of-day in UTC). So this class is merely pretending to be date-only, while actually carrying a time-of-day and implicit offset of UTC. This causes so much confusion. Never use this class.

java.time.LocalDate

Instead, use java.time.LocalDate to track just a date (year, month, day-of-month) without any time-of-day nor any time zone or offset.

Send to the database.

The java.time framework is built into Java 8 and later. These classes supplant the troublesome old legacy date-time classes such as java.util.Date, Calendar, & SimpleDateFormat.

For me there was no default constructor defined for the POJOs I was trying to use. creating default constructor fixed it.

Apply style="text-align: right" to the input tag. This will allow entry to be right-justified, and (at least in Firefox 3, IE 7 and Safari) will even appear to flow from the right.

As Ciro Santilli notes using command substitutions will drop trailing newlines. Their workaround adding trailing characters is great, but after using it for quite some time I decided I needed a solution that didn't use command substitution at all.

My approach now uses read along with the printf builtin's -v flag in order to read the contents of stdin directly into a variable.

Yes, if you really want / need to do it you can use PowerMock. This should be considered a last resort. With PowerMock you can cause it to return a mock from the call to the constructor. Then do the verify on the mock. That said, csturtz's is the "right" answer.

The function returns a Promise (if you need to support IE, include the polyfill) that resolves once the document completes loading. It uses setInterval underneath because a similar implementation with setTimeout could result in a very deep stack.

Jenkins Pipeline testing becomes more and more of a pain. Unlike the classic declarative job configuration approach where the user was limited to what the UI exposed the new Jenkins Pipeline is a full fledged programming language for the build process where you mix the declarative part with your own code. As good developers we want to have some unit tests for this kind of code as well.

There are three steps you should follow when developing Jenkins Pipelines. The step 1. should cover 80% of the uses cases.

1. Do as much as possible in build scripts (eg. Maven, Gradle, Gulp etc.). Then in your pipeline scripts just calls the build tasks in the right order. The build pipeline just orchestrates and executes the build tasks but does not have any major logic that needs a special testing.
2. If the previous rule can't be fully applied then move over to Pipeline Shared libraries where you can develop and test custom logic on its own and integrate them into the pipeline.
3. If all of the above fails you, you can try one of those libraries that came up recently (March-2017). Jenkins Pipeline Unit testing framework or pipelineUnit (examples). Since 2018 there is also Jenkinsfile Runner, a package to execution Jenkins pipelines from a command line tool.

Explanation (by lineno.):

Not possible with standard unix commands. You might have luck with a file recovery utility. I have a .Net Core 3.1 MSTest project with similar issue. This post provided clues to fix it.

Breaking this down to a simple answer for .Net core 3.1:

• add/ensure nuget package: System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager to project
• add your app.config(xml) to project.

If it is a MSTest project:

• rename file in project to testhost.dll.config

  OR

• Use post-build command provided by DeepSpace101

each JSF component renders itself out to HTML and has complete control over what HTML it produces. There are many tricks that can be used by JSF, and exactly which of those tricks will be used depends on the JSF implementation you are using.

• Ensure that every from input has a totaly unique name, so that when the form gets submitted back to to component tree that rendered it, it is easy to tell where each component can read its value form.
• The JSF component can generate javascript that submitts back to the serer, the generated javascript knows where each component is bound too, because it was generated by the component.

• For things like hlink you can include binding information in the url as query params or as part of the url itself or as matrx parameters. for examples.

  http:..../somelink?componentId=123 would allow jsf to look in the component tree to see that link 123 was clicked. or it could e htp:..../jsf;LinkId=123

The easiest way to answer this question is to create a JSF page with only one link, then examine the html output it produces. That way you will know exactly how this happens using the version of JSF that you are using.

For people with only one IP address and multiple sites on one server, you can configure IIS to listen on a port other than 80, e.g 8080 by setting the TCP port in the properties of each of its sites (including the default one).

In Apache, enable mod_proxy and mod_proxy_http, then add a catch-all VirtualHost (after all others) so that requests Apache isn't explicitly handling get "forwarded" on to IIS.

It is trivial to retrieve the first two elements as the combination result if needed.

The process you need to follow is so similar to renaming a react native app. Basically you just need to run react-native upgrade in your root project directory. For further info you can check another question here. The instructions below explains how to create another react native project based on a copied one with a new name.

• First copy the directory which your to-be-name-changed application exists. And go to your newly cloned directory.
• Change the name at index.ios/android.js file which is given as a parameter to AppRegistry.
• Change the name and version accordingly on package.json
• Delete /ios and /android folders which are remaining from your older app.
• Run $react-native upgrade to generate /ios and /android folders again.
• Run $react-native link for any native dependency.
• Finally run $react-native run-ios or anything you want.

With the xhr2 library you can globally overwrite XMLHttpRequest from your JS code. This allows you to use external libraries in node, that were intended to be run from browsers / assume they are run in a browser.

Another way to do it would be to use the Excel ADODB provider to open a connection to the file and then use SQL to select data from the sheet you want, but since you are anyway working from within Excel I don't believe there is any reason to do this rather than just open the workbook. To include values that contain a semicolon, single-quote character, or double-quote character, the value must be enclosed in double quotation marks. If the value contains both a semicolon and a double-quote character, the value can be enclosed in single quotation marks.

The issue is not with web.config, but the format of the connection string. In a connection string, if you have a " in a value (of the key-value pair), you need to enclose the value in '. So, while Password=somepass"word does not work, Password='somepass"word' does.

Assuming Java (JDK + JRE) is installed in your system, do the following:

1. Install Tomcat7

The above solutions are great for the scenario where you have a small number of Counters. If you have a big list of them though, something like this is much nicer:

Outside of the performance (non)issues, I think the biggest failing of cursors is they are painful to debug. Especially compared to code in most client applications where debugging tends to be comparatively easy and language features tend to be much easier. In fact, I contend that nearly anything one is doing in SQL with a cursor should probably be happening in the client app in the first place.

StreamSaver is an alternative to save very large files without having to keep all data in the memory.
In fact it emulates everything the server dose when saving a file but all client side with service worker.

You can either get the writer and manually write Uint8Array's to it or pipe a binary readableStream to the writable stream

There is a few example showcasing:

• How to save multiple files as a zip
• piping a readableStream from eg Response or blob.stream() to StreamSaver
• manually writing to the writable stream as you type something
• or recoding a video/audio

On my side, this error came from the data type "INT' in the Null values column. The error is resolved by just changing the data a type to varchar.

If you use constants then you have no choice:

The only way to do that with pure javascript is to implement some kind of polling mechanism. You will need to send ajax requests at fixed intervals (each 5 seconds for example) to get the number of bytes received by the server.

A more efficient way would be to use flash. The flex component FileReference dispatchs periodically a 'progress' event holding the number of bytes already uploaded. If you need to stick with javascript, bridges are available between actionscript and javascript. The good news is that this work has been already done for you :)

It's true, they are both - or more precisely, they are "inline block" elements. This means that they flow inline like text, but also have a width and height like block elements.

In CSS, you can set an element to display: inline-block to make it replicate the behaviour of images*.

Images and objects are also known as "replaced" elements, since they do not have content per se, the element is essentially replaced by binary data.

* Note that browsers technically use display: inline (as seen in the developer tools) but they are giving special treatment to images. They still follow all traits of inline-block.

The various overloads of Runtime.getRuntime().exec(...) take either an array of strings or a single string. The single-string overloads of exec() will tokenise the string into an array of arguments, before passing the string array onto one of the exec() overloads that takes a string array. Note that the timezone offset you get is only valid at the moment in time where the expression is evaluated since the offset may change over time if you have daylight savings time. Yet the expression is useful together with NOW() to store the offset with the local time, which disambiguates what NOW() yields. (In DST timezones, NOW() jumps back one hour once a year, thus has some duplicate values for distinct points in time).

To render more than one whitespace on most web browsers use   instead of normal white spaces.

What I wound up doing is creating an arbitrary class called .elementhasfocus which is added and removed within the jQuery focus() function. When the hover() function runs on mouse out, it checks for .elementhasfocus:

As others already noted, in one case you are attempting to return cString (which is a char * value in this context - a pointer) from a function that is declared to return a char (which is an integer). In another case you do the reverse: you are assigning a char return value to a char * pointer. This is what triggers the warnings. You certainly need to declare your return values as char *, not as char.

Note BTW that these assignments are in fact constraint violations from the language point of view (i.e. they are "errors"), since it is illegal to mix pointers and integers in C like that (aside from integral constant zero). Your compiler is simply too forgiving in this regard and reports these violations as mere "warnings".

What I also wanted to note is that in several answers you might notice the relatively strange suggestion to return void from your functions, since you are modifying the string in-place. While it will certainly work (since you indeed are modifying the string in-place), there's nothing really wrong with returning the same value from the function. In fact, it is a rather standard practice in C language where applicable (take a look at the standard functions like strcpy and others), since it enables "chaining" of function calls if you choose to use it, and costs virtually nothing if you don't use "chaining".

That said, the assignments in your implementation of compareString look complete superfluous to me (even though they won't break anything). I'd either get rid of them

As an additional, unrealted note, I'd say that implementing a string comparison function in such a destructive fashion (it modifies the input strings) might not be the best idea. A non-destructive function would be of a much greater value in my opinion. Instead of performing as explicit conversion of the input strings to a lower case, it is usually a better idea to implement a custom char-by-char case-insensitive string comparison function and use it instead of calling the standard strcmp.

After trying all the other solutions posted here (Skype, updates to C++ Redistributable), I found that another process was using port 80. The culprit was Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS). You can stop the service from the command line on Windows 7/Vista:

Or set the service to not start automatically by going to Services: click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Services. There, locate "WAS Service" and "World Wide Web Publication Service" and set them to manual or deactivate them completely.

List<? extends HasWord> accepts any concrete classes that extends HasWord. If you have the following classes...

Threads share everything [1]. There is one address space for the whole process.

Each thread has its own stack and registers, but all threads' stacks are visible in the shared address space.

If one thread allocates some object on its stack, and sends the address to another thread, they'll both have equal access to that object.

Actually, I just noticed a broader issue: I think you're confusing two uses of the word segment.

The file format for an executable (eg, ELF) has distinct sections in it, which may be referred to as segments, containing compiled code (text), initialized data, linker symbols, debug info, etc. There are no heap or stack segments here, since those are runtime-only constructs.

These binary file segments may be mapped into the process address space seperately, with different permissions (eg, read-only executable for code/text, and copy-on-write non-executable for initialized data).

Areas of this address space are used for different purposes, like heap allocation and thread stacks, by convention (enforced by your language runtime libraries). It is all just memory though, and probably not segmented unless you're running in virtual 8086 mode. Each thread's stack is a chunk of memory allocated at thread creation time, with the current stack top address stored in a stack pointer register, and each thread keeps its own stack pointer along with its other registers.

[1] OK, I know: signal masks, TSS/TSD etc. The address space, including all its mapped program segments, are still shared though.

The clean, fast, and easy solutions posted as of the date of this answer are unsatisfactory. They are constructed over the flawed statement that SVG documents lack z order. Libraries are not necessary either. One line of code can perform most operations to manipulate the z order of objects or groups of objects that might be required in the development of an app that moves 2D objects around in an x-y-z space.

Z Order Definitely Exists in SVG Document Fragments

What is called an SVG document fragment is a tree of elements derived from the base node type SVGElement. The root node of an SVG document fragment is an SVGSVGElement, which corresponds to an HTML5 <svg> tag. The SVGGElement corresponds to the <g> tag and permits aggregating children.

Having a z-index attribute on the SVGElement as in CSS would defeat the SVG rendering model. Sections 3.3 and 3.4 of W3C SVG Recommendation v1.1 2nd Edition state that SVG document fragments (trees of offspring from an SVGSVGElement) are rendered using what is called a depth first search of the tree. That scheme is a z order in every sense of the term.

Z order is actually a computer vision shortcut to avoid the need for true 3D rendering with the complexities and computing demands of ray tracing. The linear equation for the implicit z-index of elements in an SVG document fragment.

z-index = z-index_of_svg_tag + depth_first_tree_index / tree_node_qty

This is important because if you want to move a circle that was below a square to above it, you simply insert the square before the circle. This can be done easily in JavaScript.

Supporting Methods

SVGElement instances have two methods that support simple and easy z order manipulation.

• parent.removeChild(child)
• parent.insertBefore(child, childRef)

• Re-enable ObjC inference for the entire class using @objcMembers

Re-enabling @objc inference leaves you with the warnings, but it's the quickest solution. Note that it's only available for projects migrated from an earlier Swift version. The other two options are more tedious and require some code-digging and extensive testing.

If you want the Swift UIView subclass to be entirely self contained, and have the ability to be instantiated using init or init(frame:) without exposing the implementation detail of using a Nib, then you can use a protocol extension to achieve this. I still had the problem after all these suggestions. Some class inside App_Code was being compiled to two DLL's. Something like this (simplified):

you must be pass ViewName and Model to RenderPartialViewToString method. it will return you view with validation which are you applied in model and append the content in "targetId" div in Index.cshtml. I this way by catching RenderHtml of partial view you can apply validation.

Now a days, the easiest way I found to have a more updated version of Python is to install it via conda into a conda environment.
