The quick start guide that keyboardsurfer references will work if you need to get your project to build properly, but it leaves you with a dummy google-play-services project in your Eclipse workspace, and it doesn't properly link Eclipse to the Google Play Services Javadocs.
Here's what I did instead:
Install the Google Play Services SDK using the instructions in the Android Maps V2 Quick Start referenced above, or the instructions to Setup Google Play Services SDK, but do not follow the instructions to add Google Play Services into your project.
Right click on the project in the Package Explorer, select Properties to open the properties for your project.
(Only if you already followed the instructions in the quick start guide!) Remove the dependency on the google-play-services project:
Click on the Android category and remove the reference to the google-play-services project.
Click on the Java Build Path category, then the Projects tab and remove the reference to the google-play-services project.
Click on the Java Build Path category, then the Libraries tab.
Click Add External JARs... and select the google-play-services.jar file. This should be in [Your ADT directory]\sdk\extras\google\google_play_services\libproject\google-play-services_lib\libs.
Click on the arrow next to the new google-play-services.jar entry, and select the Javadoc Location item.

In the end it really depends in your needs because you can also save it human readable format (see this Dump a NumPy array into a csv file) or even with other libraries if your files are extremely large (see this best way to preserve numpy arrays on disk for an expanded discussion).
However, (making an expansion since you use the word "properly" in your question) I still think using the numpy function out of the box (and most code!) most likely satisfy most user needs. The most important reason is that it already works. Trying to use something else for any other reason might take you on an unexpectedly LONG rabbit hole to figure out why it doesn't work and force it work.
Take for example trying to save it with pickle. I tried that just for fun and it took me at least 30 minutes to realize that pickle wouldn't save my stuff unless I opened & read the file in bytes mode with wb
. Took time to google, try thing, understand the error message etc... Small detail but the fact that it already required me to open a file complicated things in unexpected ways. To add that it required me to re-read this (which btw is sort of confusing) Difference between modes a, a+, w, w+, and r+ in built-in open function?.
So if there is an interface that meets your needs use it unless you have a (very) good reason (e.g. compatibility with matlab or for some reason your really want to read the file and printing in python really doesn't meet your needs, which might be questionable). Furthermore, most likely if you need to optimize it you'll find out later down the line (rather than spend ages debugging useless stuff like opening a simple numpy file).
So use the interface/numpy provide. It might not be perfect it's most likely fine, especially for a library that's been around as long as numpy.
I already spent the saving and loading data with numpy in a bunch of way so have fun with it, hope it helps!

A client will often test to see if the server handles ranged requests other than just looking for an Accept-Ranges
response. Chrome always sends a Range: bytes=0-
with its first GET request for a video, so it's something you can't dismiss.
Whenever a client includes Range:
in its request, even if it's malformed, it's expecting a partial content (206) response. When you seek forward during HTML5 video playback, the browser only requests the starting point. For example:

So, in order for the client to play video properly, your server must be able to handle these incomplete range requests.
You can handle the type of 'range' you specified in your question in two ways:

Not really related to this answer, but I'd ditch git pull
, which just runs git fetch
followed by git merge
. You are doing three merges, which is going to make your Git run three fetch operations, when one fetch is all you will need. Hence:

The most interesting part here is git merge -X theirs
. As root545 noted, the -X
options are passed on to the merge strategy, and both the default recursive
strategy and the alternative resolve
strategy take -X ours
or -X theirs
(one or the other, but not both). To understand what they do, though, you need to know how Git finds, and treats, merge conflicts.
A merge conflict can occur within some file1 when the base version differs from both the current (also called local, HEAD, or --ours
) version and the other (also called remote or --theirs
) version of that same file. That is, the merge has identified three revisions (three commits): base, ours, and theirs. The "base" version is from the merge base between our commit and their commit, as found in the commit graph (for much more on this, see other StackOverflow postings). Git has then found two sets of changes: "what we did" and "what they did". These changes are (in general) found on a line-by-line, purely textual basis. Git has no real understanding of file contents; it is merely comparing each line of text.
These changes are what you see in git diff
output, and as always, they have context as well. It's possible that things we changed are on different lines from things they changed, so that the changes seem like they would not collide, but the context has also changed (e.g., due to our change being close to the top or bottom of the file, so that the file runs out in our version, but in theirs, they have also added more text at the top or bottom).
If the changes happen on different lines—for instance, we change color
to colour
on line 17 and they change fred
to barney
on line 71—then there is no conflict: Git simply takes both changes. If the changes happen on the same lines, but are identical changes, Git takes one copy of the change. Only if the changes are on the same lines, but are different changes, or that special case of interfering context, do you get a modify/modify conflict.
The -X ours
and -X theirs
options tell Git how to resolve this conflict, by picking just one of the two changes: ours, or theirs. Since you said you are merging demo
(theirs) into master
(ours) and want the changes from demo
, you would want -X theirs
.
Blindly applying -X
, however, is dangerous. Just because our changes did not conflict on a line-by-line basis does not mean our changes do not actually conflict! One classic example occurs in languages with variable declarations. The base version might declare an unused variable:

In our version, we delete the unused variable to make a compiler warning go away—and in their version, they add a loop some lines later, using i
as the loop counter. If we combine the two changes, the resulting code no longer compiles. The -X
option is no help here since the changes are on different lines.
If you have an automated test suite, the most important thing to do is to run the tests after merging. You can do this after committing, and fix things up later if needed; or you can do it before committing, by adding --no-commit
to the git merge
command. We'll leave the details for all of this to other postings.
1You can also get conflicts with respect to "file-wide" operations, e.g., perhaps we fix the spelling of a word in a file (so that we have a change), and they delete the entire file (so that they have a delete). Git will not resolve these conflicts on its own, regardless of -X

There are three merges in both of our command sequences. The first is to bring origin/demo

Your question in somewhat confusing in that that you don't explain what you mean by "current element".
If you have multiple forms on a page with all kinds of input elements and a button of type "submit", then hitting "enter" upon filling any of it's fields will trigger submission of that form. You don't need any Javascript there.
But if you have multiple "submit" buttons on a form and no other inputs (e.g. "edit row" and/or "delete row" buttons in table), then the line you posted could be the way to do it.
Another way (no Javascript needed) could be to give different values to all your buttons (that are of type "submit"). Like this:

method_b is substantially more efficient at converting to a byte array because it makes low level function calls instead of manually transforming every character to an integer, and then converting that integer into its binary value.

You can't declare a component twice. You should declare and export your component in a new separate module. Next you should import this new module in every module you want to use your component.
It is hard to tell when you should create new module and when you shouldn't. I usually create a new module for every component I reuse. When I have some components that I use almost everywhere I put them in a single module. When I have a component that I don't reuse I won't create a separate module until I need it somewhere else.
Though it might be tempting to put all you components in a single module, this is bad for the performance. While developing, a module has to recompile every time changes are made. The bigger the module (more components) the more time it takes. Making a small change to big module takes more time than making a small change in a small module.

A recursive implementation will use more memory than a loop if tail call optimization can't be performed. While iteration may use less memory than a recursive function that can't be optimized, it has some limitations in its expressive power.
extern "C"
doesn't really change the way that the compiler reads the code. If your code is in a .c file, it will be compiled as C, if it is in a .cpp file, it will be compiled as C++ (unless you do something strange to your configuration).
What extern "C"
does is affect linkage. C++ functions, when compiled, have their names mangled -- this is what makes overloading possible. The function name gets modified based on the types and number of parameters, so that two functions with the same name will have different symbol names.

is still C++ code. There are limitations on what you can do in an extern "C" block, but they're all about linkage. You can't define any new symbols that can't be built with C linkage. That means no classes or templates, for example.
extern "C"
blocks nest nicely. There's also extern "C++"
if you find yourself hopelessly trapped inside of extern "C"
regions, but it isn't such a good idea from a cleanliness perspective.
Now, specifically regarding your numbered questions:
Regarding #1: __cplusplus will stay defined inside of extern "C"
blocks. This doesn't matter, though, since the blocks should nest neatly.
Regarding #2: __cplusplus will be defined for any compilation unit that is being run through the C++ compiler. Generally, that means .cpp files and any files being included by that .cpp file. The same .h (or .hh or .hpp or what-have-you) could be interpreted as C or C++ at different times, if different compilation units include them. If you want the prototypes in the .h file to refer to C symbol names, then they must have extern "C"
when being interpreted as C++, and they should not have extern "C"
when being interpreted as C -- hence the #ifdef __cplusplus
checking.
To answer your question #3: functions without prototypes will have C++ linkage if they are in .cpp files and not inside of an extern "C"
block. This is fine, though, because if it has no prototype, it can only be called by other functions in the same file, and then you don't generally care what the linkage looks like, because you aren't planning on having that function be called by anything outside the same compilation unit anyway.
For #4, you've got it exactly. If you are including a header for code that has C linkage (such as code that was compiled by a C compiler), then you must extern "C"
the header -- that way you will be able to link with the library. (Otherwise, your linker would be looking for functions with names like _Z1hic
when you were looking for void h(int, char)
5: This sort of mixing is a common reason to use extern "C"
, and I don't see anything wrong with doing it this way -- just make sure you understand what you are doing.

is a sum of N-1 items. Now reorder the items so, that after the first comes the last, then the second, then the second to last, i.e. (N-1) + 1 + (N-2) + 2 +..
. The way the items are ordered now you can see that each of those pairs is equal to N (N-1+1 is N, N-2+2 is N). Since there are N-1 items, there are (N-1)/2 such pairs. So you're adding N (N-1)/2 times, so the total value is N*(N-1)/2
.

The string,number and boolean data types can be represented both as Objects and Non objects.When they are represented as objects their typeof is always === 'object'. We shall come back to this once we understand the object data types.
Objects
The object datatypes can be further divided into two types
The Function type objects are the ones that return the string 'function' with typeof operator. All the user defined functions and all the JavaScript built in objects that can create new objects by using new operator fall into this category. For eg.
So, typeof(Object) === typeof(String) === typeof(Number) === typeof(Boolean) === typeof(Array) === typeof(RegExp) === typeof(Function) === typeof(UserDefinedFunction) === 'function'

Also, every object that is created (Function type or Non Function type) has a "constructor" property which is inherited from the object referenced by prototype property of the Constructor function. By default this "constructor" property references the Constructor function that created it (if the Constructor Function's default "prototype" is not changed).
For all Function type objects the constructor function is always function Function(){}
For Non Function type objects (e.g Javascript Built in Math object) the constructor function is the function that created it. For Math object it is function Object(){}.

Analogy:
Simple Registration form with attributes username, password and email id.

OK, based on some of the previous answers, I am expecting to get downvoted for this, but, I think you are delusional to think you can learn, on your own, how to program in Java in 10 weeks with no programming background. No person, with NO programming experience, other than some sort of prodigy, is going to learn to program in Java or almost any language in 10 weeks.
For clarity, copying and running hello world from a book does not make you a programmer. Hell, it will most likely take days just to get that working in some IDE.

If you go the binary serialization route, Consider the speed at which a particular member of the datum needs to be accessed. If it is only a small collection, loading the whole file will make sense, but if it will be large, you might also consider an index file.

Codeigniter is an MVC (Model - View - Controller) framework. It's really not a good idea to call a function from the view. The view should be used just for presentation, and all your logic should be happening before you get to the view in the controllers and models.

Assuming you really want a str:
When you do str(u'\u2013') you are trying to convert the Unicode string to a 8-bit string. To do this you need to use an encoding, a mapping between Unicode data to 8-bit data. What str() does is that is uses the system default encoding, which under Python 2 is ASCII. ASCII contains only the 127 first code points of Unicode, that is \u0000 to \u007F1. The result is that you get the above error, the ASCII codec just doesn't know what \u2013 is (it's a long dash, btw).

Json.NET probably serializes C# dictionaries adequately now, but when the OP originally posted this question, many MVC developers may have been using the JavaScriptSerializer class because that was the default option out of the box.
If you're working on a legacy project (MVC 1 or MVC 2), and you can't use Json.NET, I recommend that you use a List<KeyValuePair<K,V>>

In a couple of lines, Cygwin and PowerShell are different tools however if you have Cygwin installed you can run the Cygwin executables within a PowerShell session. I've gotten so used to PowerShell that now I no longer use grep, sort, awk, etc. There are pretty much built-in alternatives in PowerShell, and if not you can find a cmdlet out there.
The main tool I find myself using is ssh.exe, but within a PowerShell session.

“Active Compilation Conditions” is a new build setting for passing conditional compilation flags to the Swift compiler.
Previously, we had to declare your conditional compilation flags under OTHER_SWIFT_FLAGS, remembering to prepend “-D” to the setting. For example, to conditionally compile with a MYFLAG value:

Pull Request - I've used most of the already submitted ideas but one that I also often use is ( especially if its from another dev ) doing a Pull Request which gives a handy way to review all of the changes in a merge before it takes place. I know that is GitHub not git but it sure is handy.
You need to use cat
to get the contents of the file named 'DSC_0251.JPG', rather than the filename itself.

The Aoenlabs.Security is a class for sending POST data encrypted using standard encryption algorithms
In my case (Spring MVC + Hibernate project), I added Controller, Service, Dao, Model class & Thyme leaf page. Just didn't map new model class in "hibernate.cfg.xml" file. So that got this error. But after mapping new model class again got the error. Then deleted Controller, Service, Dao, Model class. Thyme leaf page and Created newly. Also mapped new model class. Then error has gone.
Depending on the number of headers and your development habits, you may want to investigate gccmakedep. This program examines your current directory and adds to the end of the makefile the header dependencies for each .c/cpp file. This is overkill when you have 2 headers and one program file. However, if you have 5+ little test programs and you are editing one of 10 headers, you can then trust make to rebuild exactly those programs which were changed by your modifications.
