You can use str.translate, you just have to give it the right arguments:

The whole point of using Maps is direct access. If you know for sure that the value in a map will never be Groovy-false, then you can do this:

Bandwidth is tiered by instance size, here's a comprehensive answer:

For t2/m3/c3/c4/r3/i2/d2 instances:

• t2.nano = ??? (Based on the scaling factors, I'd expect 20-30 MBit/s)
• t2.micro = ~70 MBit/s (qiita says 63 MBit/s) - t1.micro gets about ~100 Mbit/s
• t2.small = ~125 MBit/s (t2, qiita says 127 MBit/s, cloudharmony says 125 Mbit/s with spikes to 200+ Mbit/s)
• *.medium = t2.medium gets 250-300 MBit/s, m3.medium ~400 MBit/s
• *.large = ~450-600 MBit/s (the most variation, see below)
• *.xlarge = 700-900 MBit/s
• *.2xlarge = ~1 GBit/s +- 10%
• *.4xlarge = ~2 GBit/s +- 10%
• *.8xlarge and marked specialty = 10 Gbit, expect ~8.5 GBit/s, requires enhanced networking & VPC for full throughput

m1 small, medium, and large instances tend to perform higher than expected. c1.medium is another freak, at 800 MBit/s.

I gathered this by combing dozens of sources doing benchmarks (primarily using iPerf & TCP connections). Credit to CloudHarmony & flux7 in particular for many of the benchmarks (note that those two links go to google searches showing the numerous individual benchmarks).

Caveats & Notes:

The large instance size has the most variation reported:

• m1.large is ~800 Mbit/s (!!!)
• t2.large = ~500 MBit/s
• c3.large = ~500-570 Mbit/s (different results from different sources)
• c4.large = ~520 MBit/s (I've confirmed this independently, by the way)
• m3.large is better at ~700 MBit/s
• m4.large is ~445 Mbit/s
• r3.large is ~390 Mbit/s

Burstable (T2) instances appear to exhibit burstable networking performance too:

• The CloudHarmony iperf benchmarks show initial transfers start at 1 GBit/s and then gradually drop to the sustained levels above after a few minutes. PDF links to reports below:

The two queries express the same question. Apparently the query optimizer chooses two different execution plans. My guess would be that the distinct approach is executed like:

• Copy all business_key values to a temporary table
• Sort the temporary table
• Scan the temporary table, returning each item that is different from the one before it

The group by could be executed like:

• Scan the full table, storing each value of business key in a hashtable
• Return the keys of the hashtable

The first method optimizes for memory usage: it would still perform reasonably well when part of the temporary table has to be swapped out. The second method optimizes for speed, but potentially requires a large amount of memory if there are a lot of different keys.

Since you either have enough memory or few different keys, the second method outperforms the first. It's not unusual to see performance differences of 10x or even 100x between two execution plans.

A simple answer to the question can be given using these points:

1. Arrays are to be used when a collection of similar type data elements is required. Whereas, linked list is a collection of mixed type data linked elements known as nodes.

2. In array, one can visit any element in O(1) time. Whereas, in linked list we would need to traverse entire linked list from head to the required node taking O(n) time.

3. For arrays, a specific size needs to be declared initially. But linked lists are dynamic in size.

Old-style .app bundles using Apple's JavaApplicationStub will use Apple Java 6 from /System/Library/Frameworks, and new-style ones built with AppBundler without a bundled JRE will use the "public" JRE in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home - that's hard-coded in the stub code and can't be changed, and you can't have two different public JREs installed at the same time.

Edit: I've had a look at VisualVM specifically, assuming you're using the "application bundle" version from the download page, and this particular app is not an AppBundler application, instead its main executable is a shell script that calls a number of other shell scripts and reads various configuration files. It defaults to picking the newest JDK from /Library/Java as long as that is 7u10 or later, or uses Java 6 if your Java 7 installation is update 9 or earlier. But unravelling the logic in the shell scripts it looks to me like you can specify a particular JDK using a configuration file.

Create a text file ~/Library/Application Support/VisualVM/1.3.6/etc/visualvm.conf (replace 1.3.6 with whatever version of VisualVM you're using) containing the line

visualvm_jdkhome="`/usr/libexec/java_home -v '1.7*'`"

and this will force it to choose Java 7 instead of 8.

Only people from Microsoft can really answer that question. However, I'd like to offer some fun facts about it ;)

First, this is what it says in MSDN about the Boolean.ToString() method:

Here comes the fun fact #1: it doesn't return TrueString or FalseString at all. It uses hardcoded literals "True" and "False". Wouldn't do you any good if it used the fields, because they're marked as readonly, so there's no changing them.

The alternative method, Boolean.ToString(IFormatProvider) is even funnier:

The provider parameter is reserved. It does not participate in the execution of this method. This means that the Boolean.ToString(IFormatProvider) method, unlike most methods with a provider parameter, does not reflect culture-specific settings.

What's the solution? Depends on what exactly you're trying to do. Whatever it is, I bet it will require a hack ;)

I solved it by making use of Type Assertions before exporting the component. TypeScript wasn't able to identify after composing it using redux 'compose' therefore I divided props types into IParentProps and IProps and use IParentProps while doing Type Assertions

First of all, from __future__ import print_function needs to be the first line of code in your script (aside from some exceptions mentioned below). Second of all, as other answers have said, you have to use print as a function now. That's the whole point of from __future__ import print_function; to bring the print function from Python 3 into Python 2.6+.

Can't get the others to work. I believe you just want what is in between ';' and '[' in all cases regardless of how long the string in between is. After specifying the field in the substring function, the second argument is the starting location of what you will extract. That is, where the ';' is + 1 (fourth position - the c), because you don't want to include ';'. The next argument takes the location of the '[' (position 14) and subtracts the location of the spot after the ';' (fourth position - this is why I now subtract 1 in the query). This basically says substring(field,location I want substring to begin, how long I want substring to be). I've used this same function in other cases. If some of the fields don't have ';' and '[', you'll want to filter those out in the "where" clause, but that's a little different than the question. If your ';' was say... ';;;', you would use 3 instead of 1 in the example. Hope this helps!

This will not work unless BException is a subclass of AException. When you override a method you must conform to the signature that the parent provides, and exceptions are part of the signature.

The solution is to declare the the interface also throws a BException.

The reason for this is you do not want code like:

read() -- at least on my system -- returns ssize_t. This is like size_t, except is signed. On my system, it's a long, not an int. You might get compiler warnings if you use int, depending on your system, your compiler, and what warnings you have turned on.

If you're using .NET Framework 4.5 or above, there is a now a MimeMapping.GetMimeMapping(filename) method that will return a string with the correct Mime mapping for the passed filename. Note that this uses the file extension, not data in the file itself.

The problem is you defined myList from main.py, but subfile.py needs to use it. Here is a clean way to solve this problem: move all globals to a file, I call this file settings.py. This file is responsible for defining globals and initializing them:

In my case I had a primary key in the database that had an accent, but in other table its foreign key didn't have. For some reason, MySQL allowed this.

The missing part of this discussion is the concept of idiom. James O. Coplien's book, "Advanced C++" was a huge influence here. Long before he discovered Christopher Alexander and the Column Without a Name (and you can't talk sensibly about patterns without reading Alexander either), he talked about the importance of mastering idioms in truly learning a language. He used string copy in C as an example, while(*from++ = *to++); You can see this as a bandaid for a missing language feature (or library feature), but what really matters about it is that it's a larger unit of thought, or of expression, than any of its parts.

That is what patterns, and languages, are trying to do, to allow us to express our intentions more succinctly. The richer the units of thought the more complex the thoughts you can express. Having a rich, shared vocabulary at a range of scales - from system architecture down to bit twiddling - allows us to have more intelligent conversations, and thoughts about what we should be doing.

No, they aren't the same algorithm. For starters, the LINQ OrderBy is documented as stable (i.e. if two items have the same Name, they'll appear in their original order).

It also depends on whether you buffer the query vs iterate it several times (LINQ-to-Objects, unless you buffer the result, will re-order per foreach).

For the OrderBy query, I would also be tempted to use:

One important step is missing in all answers. I successfully upgraded with following steps:

• stop apache service with wamp stack manager.
• rename your wampstack/php dir to wampstack/php_old
• copy new php dir to wampstack/
• replace wampstack/php/php.ini by wampstack/php_old/php.ini
• test and fix any error with php -v (for example missing extensions)
• [optional] update php version in wampstack/properties.ini
• Replace wampstack/apache/bin/php7ts.dll by wampstack/php/php7ts.dll
  • This is not mentioned in the other answers but you need this to use the right php version in apache!
• start apache service

I had this issue on a server of mine that was set up with it's regular IP and a failover IP. The failover IP did not point to the server at this time. I had to remove the failover IP from the server configuration in /etc/netplan/01-netcfg.yaml. Pointing the failover IP to that server would have probably solved the issue as well.

You have to create two triggers, but you can move the common code into a procedure and have them both call the procedure.

Ralph's answer is fabulous. I would rather use StringBuilder class to build/decorate the String because the usage of it is more look like Builder pattern.

Using splice method is surely the best answer if you need to insert into an array in-place.

However, if you are looking for an immutable function that returns a new updated array instead of mutating the original array on insert, you can use the following function.

After you install Oracle Client components on the remote server, restart SQL Server Agent from the PC Management Console or directly from Sql Server Management Studio. This will allow the service to load correctly the path to the Oracle components. Otherwise your package will work on design time but fail on run time.

It seems that this is not an uncommon problem.

Check this first.

If that doesn't help, you can install a local DNS server on Windows, such as this. Configure Windows to use localhost as the DNS server. This server can be configured to be authoritative for whatever fake domains you need, and to forward requests on to the real DNS servers for all other requests.

I personally think this is a bit over the top, and can't see why the hosts file wouldn't work. But it should solve the problem you're having. Make sure you set up your normal DNS servers as forwarders as well.

Partial mocking using Mockito's spy method could be the solution to your problem, as already stated in the answers above. To some degree I agree that, for your concrete use case, it may be more appropriate to mock the DB lookup. From my experience this is not always possible - at least not without other workarounds - that I would consider as being very cumbersome or at least fragile. Note, that partial mocking does not work with ally versions of Mockito. You have use at least 1.8.0.

I would have just written a simple comment for the original question instead of posting this answer, but StackOverflow does not allow this.

Just one more thing: I really cannot understand that many times a question is being asked here gets comment with "Why you want to do this" without at least trying to understand the problem. trick that is working here is the id that I have assigned to ImageView "imgView.setId(v)" and after that applying onClickListener to that I am again fetching the id of the view....I have also commented inside the code so that its easy to understand, I hope this may be very useful... Check if the jQuery object contains any element before you try to get its offset:

I know it's a very old comment, but still:

Instead of using single bracket (dfTest['A']), use double brackets (dfTest[['A']]).

i.e: min_max_scaler.fit_transform(dfTest[['A']]).

I believe this will give the desired result.

You shouldn't be using an item defined in the Layout XML in order to create more instances of it. You should either create it in a separate XML and inflate it or create the TableRow programmaticaly. If creating them programmaticaly, should be something like this:

However I doubt you want to do this, unless you just need to put something in as a placeholder until you come back and write the actual code for the if statement.

If you have something like this:

You can in general change it to this:

But in this specific case you could (and should) do this:

if num2 != num5:        # != is the not-equal-to operator

As for current Chrome version (56) you can't remove it yet. Solution provided in other posts leads to overflowing some part of the video.

I've found another solution - you can make the preceding button to overlap the download button and simply cover it, by using this technique:

The name is present inside the data. You need to parse a JSON hierarchically to be able to fetch the data properly.

Note: This example uses the org.json.JSONObject class and not org.json.simple.JSONObject.

Try to use the org.json.JSONObject instead. But then if you can't change your JSON library, you can refer to this example which uses the same library as yours and check the how to read a json part from it.

The height of a block element defaults to the height of the block's content. So, given something like this:

#inner will grow to be tall enough to contain the paragraph and #outer will grow to be tall enough to contain #inner.

When you specify the height or width as a percentage, that's a percentage with respect to the element's parent. In the case of width, all block elements are, unless specified otherwise, as wide as their parent all the way back up to <html>; so, the width of a block element is independent of its content and saying width: 50% yields a well defined number of pixels.

However, the height of a block element depends on its content unless you specify a specific height. So there is feedback between the parent and child where height is concerned and saying height: 50% doesn't yield a well defined value unless you break the feedback loop by giving the parent element a specific height.

You can drop the database and then recreate it with the below:-

mysql> drop database [database name];
mysql> create database [database name];

Similar to @Rikki, I solved this problem by upgrading matplotlib with pip install matplotlib --upgrade. If you can't upgrade uninstalling and reinstalling may work.

pip uninstall matplotlib

To set up for sync, the host application has to call

CookieSyncManager.getInstance().startSync()

in Activity.onResume(), and call

To get instant sync instead of waiting for the timer to trigger, the host can call

CookieSyncManager.getInstance().sync()

The sync interval is 5 minutes, so you will want to force syncs manually anyway, for instance in onPageFinished(WebView, String). Note that even sync() happens asynchronously, so don't do it just as your activity is shutting down.
