You need a little statistical knowledge to see this. R squared between two vectors is just the square of their correlation. So you can define you function as:
rsq <- function (x, y) cor(x, y) ^ 2
Sandipan's answer will return you exactly the same result (see the following proof), but as it stands it appears more readable (due to the evident $r.squared
).
Basically we fit a linear regression of y
over x
, and compute the ratio of regression sum of squares to total sum of squares.
lemma 1: a regression y ~ x
is equivalent to y - mean(y) ~ x - mean(x)
lemma 2: beta = cov(x, y) / var(x)
lemma 3: R.square = cor(x, y) ^ 2
R squared between two arbitrary vectors x
and y
(of the same length) is just a goodness measure of their linear relationship. Think twice!! R squared between x + a
and y + b
are identical for any constant shift a
and b
. So it is a weak or even useless measure on "goodness of prediction". Use MSE or RMSE instead:
I agree with 42-'s comment:
The R squared is reported by summary functions associated with regression functions. But only when such an estimate is statistically justified.
R squared can be a (but not the best) measure of "goodness of fit". But there is no justification that it can measure the goodness of out-of-sample prediction. If you split your data into training and testing parts and fit a regression model on the training one, you can get a valid R squared value on training part, but you can't legitimately compute an R squared on the test part. Some people did this, but I don't agree with it.
Here is very extreme example:
preds <- 1:4/4
actual <- 1:4
The R squared between those two vectors is 1. Yes of course, one is just a linear rescaling of the other so they have a perfect linear relationship. But, do you really think that the preds
is a good prediction on actual
??
Thanks for your comments 1, 2 and your answer of details.
You probably misunderstood the procedure. Given two vectors x
and y
, we first fit a regression line y ~ x
then compute regression sum of squares and total sum of squares. It looks like you skip this regression step and go straight to the sum of square computation. That is false, since the partition of sum of squares does not hold and you can't compute R squared in a consistent way.
As you demonstrated, this is just one way for computing R squared:
preds <- c(1, 2, 3)
actual <- c(2, 2, 4)
rss <- sum((preds - actual) ^ 2) ## residual sum of squares
tss <- sum((actual - mean(actual)) ^ 2) ## total sum of squares
rsq <- 1 - rss/tss
#[1] 0.25
But there is another:
regss <- sum((preds - mean(preds)) ^ 2) ## regression sum of squares
regss / tss
#[1] 0.75
Also, your formula can give a negative value (the proper value should be 1 as mentioned above in the Warning section).
preds <- 1:4 / 4
actual <- 1:4
rss <- sum((preds - actual) ^ 2) ## residual sum of squares
tss <- sum((actual - mean(actual)) ^ 2) ## total sum of squares
rsq <- 1 - rss/tss
#[1] -2.375
I had never expected that this answer could eventually be so long when I posted my initial answer 2 years ago. However, given the high views of this thread, I feel obliged to add more statistical details and discussions. I don't want to mislead people that just because they can compute an R squared so easily, they can use R squared everywhere.
One option would be to read the data from the registry. MSDN Article On The Topic: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.win32.registry.localmachine(v=vs.71).aspx)
The processors, I believe can be located here, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor
private void determineNumberOfProcessCores()
{
RegistryKey rk = Registry.LocalMachine;
String[] subKeys = rk.OpenSubKey("HARDWARE").OpenSubKey("DESCRIPTION").OpenSubKey("System").OpenSubKey("CentralProcessor").GetSubKeyNames();
textBox1.Text = "Total number of cores:" + subKeys.Length.ToString();
}
I am reasonably sure the registry entry will be there on most systems.
Though I would throw my $0.02 in.
Presently Package name starting with "com.example" is not allowed to upload in the app -store. Otherwise , all other package names starting with "com" are allowed .
All you need - add another key and use it.
As i've found first key - always Deployment Key.
You can also use EXIT_SUCCESS
instead of return 0;
. The macro EXIT_SUCCESS
is actually defined as zero, but makes your program more readable.
_meta
is private, but it's relatively stable. There are efforts to formalise it, document it and remove the underscore, which might happen before 1.3 or 1.4. I imagine effort will be made to ensure things are backwards compatible, because lots of people have been using it anyway.
If you're particularly concerned about compatibility, write a function that takes a model and returns the fields. This means if something does change in the future, you only have to change one function.
def get_model_fields(model):
return model._meta.fields
I believe this will return a list of Field
objects. To get the value of each field from the instance, use getattr(instance, field.name)
.
Update: Django contributors are working on an API to replace the _Meta object as part of a Google Summer of Code. See:
- https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/django-developers/hD4roZq0wyk
- https://code.djangoproject.com/wiki/new_meta_api
$(".oSlider-rotate").slider({

}
});
This will solve the issue
date -d '1 hour ago' '+%Y-%m-%d'
The output would be 2015-06-14

You may install your coinhsl library in one of your standard libraries directories and run 'ldconfig` before doing your ppyipopt install
sed cannot match \n because the trailing newline is removed before the line is put into the pattern space but can match \r, so you can convert \r\n (dos) to \n (unix) by removing \r
sed -i 's/\r//g' file
Warning: this will change the original file
However, you cannot change from unix EOL to dos or old mac (\r) by this. More readings here:

I tried to adapt @Siddhart's code to a relative path to run my open_form
macro, but it didn't seem to work. Here was my first attempt. My working solution is below.
Option Explicit
Dim xlApp, xlBook
dim fso
dim curDir
set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
curDir = fso.GetAbsolutePathName(".")
set fso = nothing
Set xlApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
'~~> Change Path here
Set xlBook = xlApp.Workbooks.Open(curDir & "Excels\CLIENTES.xlsb", 0, true)
xlApp.Run "open_form"
xlBook.Close
xlApp.Quit
Set xlBook = Nothing
Set xlApp = Nothing
WScript.Echo "Finished."
EDIT
I have actually worked it out, just in case someone wants to run a userform "alike" a stand alone application:
Issues I was facing:
1 - I did not want to use the Workbook_Open Event as the excel is locked in read only. 2 - The batch command is limited that the fact that (to my knowledge) it cannot call the macro.
I first wrote a macro to launch my userform while hiding the application:
Sub open_form()
Application.Visible = False
frmAddClient.Show vbModeless
End Sub
I then created a vbs to launch this macro (doing it with a relative path has been tricky):
dim fso
dim curDir
dim WinScriptHost
set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
curDir = fso.GetAbsolutePathName(".")
set fso = nothing
Set xlObj = CreateObject("Excel.application")
xlObj.Workbooks.Open curDir & "\Excels\CLIENTES.xlsb"
xlObj.Run "open_form"
And I finally did a batch file to execute the VBS...
@echo off
pushd %~dp0
cscript Add_Client.vbs
Note that I have also included the "Set back to visible" in my Userform_QueryClose
:
Private Sub cmdClose_Click()
Unload Me
End Sub
Private Sub UserForm_QueryClose(Cancel As Integer, CloseMode As Integer)
ThisWorkbook.Close SaveChanges:=True
Application.Visible = True
Application.Quit
End Sub
Anyway, thanks for your help, and I hope this will help if someone needs it

sync
method first lists both source and destination paths and copies only differences (name, size etc.).
cp --recursive
method lists source path and copies (overwrites) all to the destination path.
If you have possible matches in the destination path, I would suggest sync
as one LIST request on the destination path will save you many unnecessary PUT requests - meaning cheaper and possibly faster.
No shadow and no rounded borders in the bar
You are using an image so the easiest solution is row your boat with the flow,
You cannot give heights manually,yes you can but make sure it gets enough space to show your full image view there
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
for SeekBar
I am no good with Photoshop but I managed to edit a background one for a test
seekbar_brown_to_show_progress.png

android:splitTrack="false" // for unwanted white space in thumb
android:id="@+id/seekBar_luminosite"
android:layout_width="250dp" // use your own size
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:minHeight="10dp"
android:minWidth="15dp"
android:maxHeight="15dp"

As mentioned here: Re: BUG #4243: Idle in transaction it is probably best to check your pg_locks table to see what is being locked and that might give you a better clue where the problem lies.
worked for me:
AVG(CASE WHEN SecurityW <> 0 THEN SecurityW ELSE NULL END)
Note that the getopt package provides the get_Rscript_filename
function, which just uses the same solution presented here, but is already written for you in a standard R module, so you don't have to copy and paste the "get script path" function into every script you write.
You can simplify the code like this.
In Java:
new Handler().postDelayed (() -> {
//your code here
}, 1000);
In Kotlin:
Handler().postDelayed({
//your code here
}, 1000)
var result=[];
var app = angular.module('app', []);
app.controller('myCtrl', function ($scope, $http) {
var url="";// your request url
var request={};// your request parameters
var headers = {
// 'Authorization': 'Basic ' + btoa(username + ":" + password),
'Access-Control-Allow-Origin': true,
'Content-Type': 'application/json; charset=utf-8',
"X-Requested-With": "XMLHttpRequest"
}
$http.post(url, request, {
headers
})
.then(function Success(response) {
result.push(response.data);
$scope.Data = result;
},
function Error(response) {
result.push(response.data);
$scope.Data = result;
console.log(response.statusText + " " + response.status)
});
});
And also add following code in your WebApiConfig file
var cors = new EnableCorsAttribute("*", "*", "*");
config.EnableCors(cors);
make the utility class final and add a private constructor
To do a BEFORE UPDATE
in SQL Server I use a trick. I do a false update of the record (UPDATE Table SET Field = Field
), in such way I get the previous image of the record.
This can not be done purely with css. This is a behaviour, which affects the styling of the page.
With jquery you can quickly implement the behavior from your question:
$(function() {
$('#a').hover(function() {
$('#b').css('background-color', 'yellow');
}, function() {
// on mouseout, reset the background colour
$('#b').css('background-color', '');
});
});
You can using regex to parse string to detail time then create date or any return format like :
//example : let dateString = "2018-08-17 01:02:03.4"
function strToDate(dateString){
let reggie = /(\d{4})-(\d{2})-(\d{2}) (\d{2}):(\d{2}):(\d{2}).(\d{1})/
, [,year, month, day, hours, minutes, seconds, miliseconds] = reggie.exec(dateString)
, dateObject = new Date(year, month-1, day, hours, minutes, seconds, miliseconds);
return dateObject;
}
alert(strToDate(dateString));
Just three steps.
NetBeans update their tutorial for JDK8 and this Issue:
Getting Started with JAX-WS Web Services -> Enabling Access to External Schema
NOTE: Because people searching with the same keyword will land on this page, I am adding this answer which is not the cause for this compiler error in the above mentioned case.
I was facing this error when I had an enum
declared in some file which had one of the elements having the same symbol as my class name.
e.g. if I declare an enum = {A, B, C}
in some file which is included in another file where I declare an object of class A
.
This was throwing the same compiler error message mentioning that Class A does not name a type
. There was no circular dependency in my case.
So, be careful while naming classes and declaring enums (which might be visible, imported and used externally in other files) in C++.
This still loops through the cartesian product of the two lists, but it does it one line:
>>> lines1 = ['soup', 'butter', 'venison']
>>> lines2 = ['prune', 'rye', 'turkey']
>>> search_strings = ['a', 'b', 'c']
>>> any(s in l for l in lines1 for s in search_strings)
True
>>> any(s in l for l in lines2 for s in search_strings)
False
This also have the advantage that any
short-circuits, and so the looping stops as soon as a match is found. Also, this only finds the first occurrence of a string from search_strings
in linesX
. If you want to find multiple occurrences you could do something like this:
>>> lines3 = ['corn', 'butter', 'apples']
>>> [(s, l) for l in lines3 for s in search_strings if s in l]
[('c', 'corn'), ('b', 'butter'), ('a', 'apples')]
If you feel like coding something more complex, it seems the Aho-Corasick algorithm can test for the presence of multiple substrings in a given input string. (Thanks to Niklas B. for pointing that out.) I still think it would result in quadratic performance for your use-case since you'll still have to call it multiple times to search multiple lines. However, it would beat the above (cubic, on average) algorithm.
If your are invoking fetch on a localhost server, use non-SSL unless you have a valid certificate for localhost. fetch will fail on an invalid or self signed certificate especially on localhost.
Spring is moving away from XML files and uses annotations heavily. The following example is a simple standalone Spring application which uses annotation instead of XML files.
package com.zetcode.bean;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Component;
@Component
public class Message {
private String message = "Hello there!";
public void setMessage(String message){
this.message = message;
}
public String getMessage(){
return message;
}
}
This is a simple bean. It is decorated with the @Component
annotation for auto-detection by Spring container.
package com.zetcode.main;
import com.zetcode.bean.Message;
import org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.Autowired;
import org.springframework.context.ApplicationContext;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.AnnotationConfigApplicationContext;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.ComponentScan;
@ComponentScan(basePackages = "com.zetcode")
public class Application {
public static void main(String[] args) {
ApplicationContext context
= new AnnotationConfigApplicationContext(Application.class);
Application p = context.getBean(Application.class);
p.start();
}
@Autowired
private Message message;
private void start() {
System.out.println("Message: " + message.getMessage());
}
}
This is the main Application
class. The @ComponentScan
annotation searches for components. The @Autowired
annotation injects the bean into the message
variable. The AnnotationConfigApplicationContext
is used to create the Spring application context.
My Standalone Spring tutorial shows how to create a standalone Spring application with both XML and annotations.

ctx.translate(-x-w/2, -y-h/2);
ctx.drawImage(image, x, y, w, h);
ctx.restore();
}

Meta-programming is fun, but it can get in the way. Most solutions here make it difficult to:
So, my first suggestion is to follow the simple/explicit path (works with any test runner):
import unittest
class TestSequence(unittest.TestCase):
def _test_complex_property(self, a, b):
self.assertEqual(a,b)
def test_foo(self):
self._test_complex_property("a", "a")
def test_bar(self):
self._test_complex_property("a", "b")
def test_lee(self):
self._test_complex_property("b", "b")
if __name__ == '__main__':
unittest.main()
Since we shouldn't repeat ourselves, my second suggestion builds on Javier's answer: embrace property based testing. Hypothesis library:
is "more relentlessly devious about test case generation than us mere humans"
will provide simple count-examples
works with any test runner
has many more interesting features (statistics, additional test output, ...)
class TestSequence(unittest.TestCase):
@given(st.text(), st.text())
def test_complex_property(self, a, b):
self.assertEqual(a,b)
To test your specific examples, just add:
@example("a", "a")
@example("a", "b")
@example("b", "b")
To run only one particular example, you can comment out the other examples (provided example will be run first). You may want to use @given(st.nothing())
. Another option is to replace the whole block by:
@given(st.just("a"), st.just("b"))
OK, you don't have distinct test names. But maybe you just need:
There are several problems in your code.
First the big ones:
You are creating a new figure and a new axes in every iteration of your loop ?
put fig = plt.figure
and ax = fig.add_subplot(1,1,1)
outside of the loop.
Don't use the Locators. Call the functions ax.set_xticks()
and ax.grid()
with the correct keywords.
With plt.axes()
you are creating a new axes again. Use ax.set_aspect('equal')
.
The minor things:
You should not mix the MATLAB-like syntax like plt.axis()
with the objective syntax.
Use ax.set_xlim(a,b)
and ax.set_ylim(a,b)
This should be a working minimal example:
import numpy as np
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
fig = plt.figure()
ax = fig.add_subplot(1, 1, 1)
# Major ticks every 20, minor ticks every 5
major_ticks = np.arange(0, 101, 20)
minor_ticks = np.arange(0, 101, 5)
ax.set_xticks(major_ticks)
ax.set_xticks(minor_ticks, minor=True)
ax.set_yticks(major_ticks)
ax.set_yticks(minor_ticks, minor=True)
# And a corresponding grid
ax.grid(which='both')
# Or if you want different settings for the grids:
ax.grid(which='minor', alpha=0.2)
ax.grid(which='major', alpha=0.5)
plt.show()
Output is this:
This function doesn't fail for more than two duplicates values:
function unique(arr) {
var a = [];
var l = arr.length;
for(var i=0; i<l; i++) {
for(var j=i+1; j<l; j++) {
// If a[i] is found later in the array
if (arr[i] === arr[j])
j = ++i;
}
a.push(arr[i]);
}
return a;
};
Yes, it is possible. One of the solutions is below (jsfiddle as a proof).
HTML:
<a id="fire" href="#" title="submit form">Submit form</a>
(see, above there is no form)
JavaScript:
jQuery('#fire').click(function(event){
event.preventDefault();
var newForm = jQuery('<form>', {
'action': 'http://www.google.com/search',
'target': '_top'
}).append(jQuery('<input>', {
'name': 'q',
'value': 'stack overflow',
'type': 'hidden'
}));
newForm.submit();
});
The above example shows you how to create form, how to add inputs and how to submit. Sometimes display of the result is forbidden by X-Frame-Options
, so I have set target
to _top
, which replaces the main window's content. Alternatively if you set _blank
, it can show within new window / tab.
I solved Using:
Dictionary<short, string[]>
Like this
Dictionary<short, string[]> result = new Dictionary<short, string[]>();
result.Add(1,
new string[]
{
"FirstString",
"Second"
}
);
}
return result;
Adding this to the Vagrantfile
worked for me. These lines are the equivalent of you entering sudo su -
every time you login. Please notice that this requires reprovisioning the VM.
config.vm.provision "shell", inline: <<-SHELL
echo "sudo su -" >> .bashrc
SHELL
you can convert a string to array with str_split and use foreach
$chars = str_split($str);
foreach($chars as $char){
// your code
}
The error "Message: element not interactable" mostly occurs when your element is not clickable or it is not visible yet, and you should click or choose one other element before it. Then your element will get displayed and you can modify it.
You can check if your element is visible or not by calling is_displayed()
method like this:
print("Element is visible? " + str(element_name.is_displayed()))
A logical address is the address at which an item (memory cell, storage element, network host) appears to reside from the perspective of an executing application program.

For simple animations you can use an animated gif. I'm using one in this README file for instance.
We were getting this same error in Fiddler when trying to figure out why our Silverlight ArcGIS map viewer wasn't loading the map.
In our case it was a typo in the URL in the code. There was an equal sign in there for some reason.
http:=//someurltosome/awesome/place
instead of
http://someurltosome/awesome/place
After taking out that equal sign it worked great (of course).
You can do it by using below CSS:
table {
width: 100%;
table-layout: fixed;
}
th, td {
overflow: hidden;
width: 200px;
text-overflow: ellipsis;
white-space: nowrap;
}
Here is a StackBlitz Example
with Sample Data
Download and include this plugin
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/crypto-js/3.1.2/rollups/md5.js"></script>
and use like
if(CryptoJS.MD5($("#txtOldPassword").val())) != oldPassword) {
}
//Following lines shows md5 value
//var hash = CryptoJS.MD5("Message");
//alert(hash);
... takes no arguments and has a void return type?
If you are writing for System.Windows.Forms
, You can also use:
public delegate void MethodInvoker()
Here is a Bundle Transform that will replace css urls with urls relative to that css file. Just add it to your bundle and it should fix the issue.
public class CssUrlTransform: IBundleTransform
{
public void Process(BundleContext context, BundleResponse response) {
Regex exp = new Regex(@"url\([^\)]+\)", RegexOptions.IgnoreCase | RegexOptions.Singleline);
foreach (FileInfo css in response.Files) {
string cssAppRelativePath = css.FullName.Replace(context.HttpContext.Request.PhysicalApplicationPath, context.HttpContext.Request.ApplicationPath).Replace(Path.DirectorySeparatorChar, '/');
string cssDir = cssAppRelativePath.Substring(0, cssAppRelativePath.LastIndexOf('/'));
response.Content = exp.Replace(response.Content, m => TransformUrl(m, cssDir));
}
}
private string TransformUrl(Match match, string cssDir) {
string url = match.Value.Substring(4, match.Length - 5).Trim('\'', '"');
if (url.StartsWith("http://") || url.StartsWith("data:image")) return match.Value;
if (!url.StartsWith("/"))
url = string.Format("{0}/{1}", cssDir, url);
return string.Format("url({0})", url);

The issue with the "one thread per request" model for a server is that they don't scale well for several scenarios compared to the event loop thread model.
Typically, in I/O intensive scenarios the requests spend most of the time waiting for I/O to complete. During this time, in the "one thread per request" model, the resources linked to the thread (such as memory) are unused and memory is the limiting factor. In the event loop model, the loop thread selects the next event (I/O finished) to handle. So the thread is always busy (if you program it correctly of course).
The event loop model as all new things seems shiny and the solution for all issues but which model to use will depend on the scenario you need to tackle. If you have an intensive I/O scenario (like a proxy), the event base model will rule, whereas a CPU intensive scenario with a low number of concurrent processes will work best with the thread-based model.
In the real world most of the scenarios will be a bit in the middle. You will need to balance the real need for scalability with the development complexity to find the correct architecture (e.g. have an event base front-end that delegates to the backend for the CPU intensive tasks. The front end will use little resources waiting for the task result.) As with any distributed system it requires some effort to make it work.
If you are looking for the silver bullet that will fit with any scenario without any effort, you will end up with a bullet in your foot.
Jasypt provides the org.jasypt.properties.EncryptableProperties class for loading, managing and transparently decrypting encrypted values in .properties files, allowing the mix of both encrypted and not-encrypted values in the same file.
http://www.jasypt.org/encrypting-configuration.html
By using an org.jasypt.properties.EncryptableProperties object, an application would be able to correctly read and use a .properties file like this:
datasource.driver=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
datasource.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost/reportsdb
datasource.username=reportsUser
datasource.password=ENC(G6N718UuyPE5bHyWKyuLQSm02auQPUtm)
Note that the database password is encrypted (in fact, any other property could also be encrypted, be it related with database configuration or not).
How do we read this value? like this:
/*
* First, create (or ask some other component for) the adequate encryptor for
* decrypting the values in our .properties file.
*/
StandardPBEStringEncryptor encryptor = new StandardPBEStringEncryptor();
encryptor.setPassword("jasypt"); // could be got from web, env variable...
/*
* Create our EncryptableProperties object and load it the usual way.
*/
Properties props = new EncryptableProperties(encryptor);
props.load(new FileInputStream("/path/to/my/configuration.properties"));
/*
* To get a non-encrypted value, we just get it with getProperty...
*/
String datasourceUsername = props.getProperty("datasource.username");
/*
* ...and to get an encrypted value, we do exactly the same. Decryption will
* be transparently performed behind the scenes.
*/
String datasourcePassword = props.getProperty("datasource.password");
// From now on, datasourcePassword equals "reports_passwd"...
From Version 4.0.0 on RegionUtil
-methods have a new signature. For example:
RegionUtil.setBorderBottom(BorderStyle.DOUBLE,
CellRangeAddress.valueOf("A1:B7"), sheet);
An example that uses RecursiveDirectoryIterator class, it's a convenient way to iterate recursively over filesystem.
$output = array();
foreach( new RecursiveIteratorIterator(
new RecursiveDirectoryIterator( 'path', FilesystemIterator::SKIP_DOTS | FilesystemIterator::UNIX_PATHS ) ) as $value ) {
if ( $value->isFile() ) {
$output[] = array( $value->getMTime(), $value->getRealPath() );
}
}
usort ( $output, function( $a, $b ) {
return $a[0] > $b[0];
});

To clear your gradle cache in android studio:
gradlew clean
Dir[File.join(__dir__, "/app/**/*.rb")].each do |file|
require file
end
This will work recursively on your local machine and a remote (Like Heroku) which does not use relative paths.
To me an interface is a blueprint of a class, is this the best definition?
No. A blueprint typically includes the internals. But a interface is purely about what is visible on the outside of a class ... or more accurately, a family of classes that implement the interface.
The interface consists of the signatures of methods and values of constants, and also a (typically informal) "behavioral contract" between classes that implement the interface and others that use it.
there is an official YouTube Android Player API wich you can use. This is a bit more complicated but it is working better than other solutions using webclients.
First you must register your app in Googles API Console. This is completely free until your app gets over 25k request a month (or something like that). There are complete anf great tutorials under the link. I hope you can understand them. If not, ask! :)
Using the mysqli PHP driver, you can't get the insert_id after you commit.
The real solution is this:
function add_post($post_data){
$this->db->trans_begin();
$this->db->insert('posts',$post_data);
$item_id = $this->db->insert_id();
if( $this->db->trans_status() === FALSE )
{
$this->db->trans_rollback();
return( 0 );
}
else
{
$this->db->trans_commit();
return( $item_id );
}
}

I think the best way to do it to bind it with ngModel.
<select name="num" [(ngModel)]="number">
<option *ngFor="let n of numbers" [value]="n">{{n}}</option>
</select>
and in ts file add
number=47;
numbers=[45,46,47]
Yes. There are methods on the String itself for this.
Note that the result depends on the Locale the JVM is using. Beware, locales is an art in itself.
I'm assuming you want to display the welcome when you mouse over "some text".
As a message box, this will be:
<div id="sub1" onmouseover="javascript:alert('Welcome!');">some text</div>
As a tooltip, it should be:
<div id="sub1" title="Welcome!">some text</div>
As a new div, you can use:
<div id="sub1" onmouseover="javascript:var mydiv = document.createElement('div'); mydiv.height = 100; mydiv.width = 100; mydiv.zindex = 1000; mydiv.innerHTML = 'Welcome!'; mydiv.position = 'absolute'; mydiv.top = 0; mydiv.left = 0;">some text</div>
You should NEVER contain spaces in the id
of an element.
Angular 2.0.0 Final:
I have found that using a ViewChild
setter is most reliable way to set the initial form control focus:
@ViewChild("myInput")
set myInput(_input: ElementRef | undefined) {
if (_input !== undefined) {
setTimeout(() => {
this._renderer.invokeElementMethod(_input.nativeElement, "focus");
}, 0);
}
}
The setter is first called with an undefined
value followed by a call with an initialized ElementRef
.
Working example and full source here: http://plnkr.co/edit/u0sLLi?p=preview
Using TypeScript 2.0.3 Final/RTM, Angular 2.0.0 Final/RTM, and Chrome 53.0.2785.116 m (64-bit).
UPDATE for Angular 4+
Renderer
has been deprecated in favor of Renderer2
, but Renderer2
does not have the invokeElementMethod
. You will need to access the DOM directly to set the focus as in input.nativeElement.focus()
.
I'm still finding that the ViewChild setter approach works best. When using AfterViewInit
I sometimes get read property 'nativeElement' of undefined
error.
@ViewChild("myInput")
set myInput(_input: ElementRef | undefined) {
if (_input !== undefined) {
setTimeout(() => { //This setTimeout call may not be necessary anymore.
_input.nativeElement.focus();
}, 0);
}
}
X-XSS-Protection is a HTTP header understood by Internet Explorer 8 (and newer versions). This header lets domains toggle on and off the "XSS Filter" of IE8, which prevents some categories of XSS attacks. IE8 has the filter activated by default, but servers can switch if off by setting
X-XSS-Protection: 0
this is the solution you need, you can use the errorPlacement
method to override where to put the error message
$('form').validate({
rules: {
firstname: {
minlength: 3,
maxlength: 15,
required: true
},
lastname: {
minlength: 3,
maxlength: 15,
required: true
}
},
errorPlacement: function(error, element) {
error.insertAfter('.form-group'); //So i putted it after the .form-group so it will not include to your append/prepend group.
},
highlight: function(element) {
$(element).closest('.form-group').addClass('has-error');
},
unhighlight: function(element) {
$(element).closest('.form-group').removeClass('has-error');
}
});
it's works for me like magic. Cheers
If you are using Zsh, then try to add this line in ~/.zshrc file & restart terminal.
export JAVA_HOME=$(/usr/libexec/java_home)
How about add the strings to a hashtable where the value is an index:
Hashtable<String, Integer> itemIndex = new Hashtable<>();
itemIndex.put("First String",1);
itemIndex.put("Second String",2);
itemIndex.put("Third String",3);
int indexOfThirdString = itemIndex.get("Third String");
I was having the same issue, I made the table fixed and then specified my td width. If you have th you can do those as well.
<style>
table {
table-layout: fixed;
word-wrap: break-word;
}
</style>
<td width="10%" /td>
I didn't have any luck with .table-nonfluid.
The command setwd("~/")
should set your working directory to your home directory. You might be experiencing problems because the OS you are using does not recognise "~/"
as your home directory: this might be because of the OS, or it might be because of not having set that as your home directory elsewhere.
As you have tagged the post using RStudio:
You will now have set the folder as your working directory. Use the command getwd()
to get the working directory as it is now set, and save that as a variable string at the top of your script. Then use setwd
with that string as the argument, so that each time you run the script you use the same directory.
For example at the top of my script I would have:
work_dir <- "C:/Users/john.smith/Documents"
setwd(work_dir)
You could write a function template back
that delegates to the member function for ordinary containers and a normal function that implements the missing functionality for strings:
template <typename C>
typename C::reference back(C& container)
{
return container.back();
}
template <typename C>
typename C::const_reference back(const C& container)
{
return container.back();
}
char& back(std::string& str)
{
return *(str.end() - 1);
}
char back(const std::string& str)
{
return *(str.end() - 1);
}
Then you can just say back(foo)
without worrying whether foo
is a string or a vector.
Just pasting an ES6 version of sobstel's nice answer:
send(someUrl + 'error?d=' + encodeURI(JSON.stringify(json)) + '&callback=c', 'c', 5)
.then((json) => console.log(json))
.catch((err) => console.log(err))
function send(url, callback, timeout) {
return new Promise((resolve, reject) => {
let script = document.createElement('script')
let timeout_trigger = window.setTimeout(() => {
window[callback] = () => {}
script.parentNode.removeChild(script)
reject('No response')
}, timeout * 1000)
window[callback] = (data) => {
window.clearTimeout(timeout_trigger)
script.parentNode.removeChild(script)
resolve(data)
}
script.type = 'text/javascript'
script.async = true
script.src = url
document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script)
})
}
In your particular case the issue seem to be with accessing the site from non-canonical url (www.site.com vs. site.com).
Instead of fixing CORS issue (which may require writing proxy to server fonts with proper CORS headers depending on service provider) you can normalize your Urls to always server content on canonical Url and simply redirect if one requests page without "www.".
Alternatively you can upload fonts to different server/CDN that is known to have CORS headers configured or you can easily do so.
I think your issue is that Range("H18")
doesn't contain a formula. Also, you could make your code more efficient by eliminating x
. Instead, change your code to
Range("H18").GoalSeek Goal:=Range("H32").Value, ChangingCell:=Range("G18")
Your selector is missing a .
and though you say you want to change the border-color
- you're adding and removing a class that sets the background-color
You could try Conditional Formatting available in the tool menu "Format -> Conditional Formatting".
node-email-templates is a much better option: https://github.com/niftylettuce/node-email-templates
it has support for windows as well
Beware the leading 00 that can appear in the modulus when using:
openssl rsa -pubin -inform PEM -text -noout < public.key
The example modulus contains 257 bytes rather than 256 bytes because of that 00, which is included because the 9 in 98 looks like a negative signed number.
You can use String#replaceAll()
with a pattern of ^\"|\"$
for this.
E.g.
string = string.replaceAll("^\"|\"$", "");

That said, this smells a bit like that you're trying to invent a CSV parser. If so, I'd suggest to look around for existing libraries, such as OpenCSV.
If your page has a section for Scripts such as the following, then ensure you refer to your Jquery library from inside this section.

When Xcode asks you to reset certs, you reset it. And the app can be run on actual device without crash with that error messages. Once this problem is fixed in one swift project. Other swift projects with this problem are fixed also.
I have struggled for these about half a day and I found that reset certs again and again in provisioning portal doesn't help.

I maybe discovered a better way for not forcing the user to right click and "save image as". Live draw the canvas base64 code into the href
of the link and modify it so the download will start automatically. I don't know if it's universally browser compatible, but it should work with the main/new browsers.
var canvas = document.getElementById('your-canvas');
if (canvas.getContext) {
var C = canvas.getContext('2d');
}
$('#your-canvas').mousedown(function(event) {
// feel free to choose your event ;)
// just for example
// var OFFSET = $(this).offset();
// var x = event.pageX - OFFSET.left;
// var y = event.pageY - OFFSET.top;
// standard data to url
var imgdata = canvas.toDataURL('image/png');
// modify the dataUrl so the browser starts downloading it instead of just showing it
var newdata = imgdata.replace(/^data:image\/png/,'data:application/octet-stream');
// give the link the values it needs
$('a.linkwithnewattr').attr('download','your_pic_name.png').attr('href',newdata);
});
You can wrap the <a>
around anything you want.
I've found using cmd works well as an alternative, especially when you need to pipe the output from the called application (espeically when it doesn't have built in logging, unlike msbuild)
cmd /C "$msbuild $args" >> $outputfile
Try this solution:

Also check if the user running the IIS AppPool has read access to that folder/file.
Have a look at this:

Also have a look at this:
You should apply the following styles:
#button:active {
vertical-align: top;
padding: 8px 13px 6px;
}
This will give you the necessary effect, demo here.

To turn off autoindent when you paste code, there's a special "paste" mode.
Type
:set paste
Then paste your code. Note that the text in the tooltip now says -- INSERT (paste) --
.
After you pasted your code, turn off the paste-mode, so that auto-indenting when you type works correctly again.
:set nopaste
However, I always found that cumbersome. That's why I map <F3>
such that it can switch between paste and nopaste modes while editing the text! I add this to .vimrc
set pastetoggle=<F3>
I know I'm kinda late to the party but I made a little method others might find cool/useful.
public static JLabel linkify(final String text, String URL, String toolTip)
{
URI temp = null;
try
{
temp = new URI(URL);
}
catch (Exception e)
{
e.printStackTrace();
}
final URI uri = temp;
final JLabel link = new JLabel();
link.setText("<HTML><FONT color=\"#000099\">"+text+"</FONT></HTML>");
if(!toolTip.equals(""))
link.setToolTipText(toolTip);
link.setCursor(new Cursor(Cursor.HAND_CURSOR));
link.addMouseListener(new MouseListener()
{
public void mouseExited(MouseEvent arg0)
{
link.setText("<HTML><FONT color=\"#000099\">"+text+"</FONT></HTML>");
}
public void mouseEntered(MouseEvent arg0)
{
link.setText("<HTML><FONT color=\"#000099\"><U>"+text+"</U></FONT></HTML>");
}
public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent arg0)
{
if (Desktop.isDesktopSupported())
{
try
{
Desktop.getDesktop().browse(uri);
}
catch (Exception e)
{
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
else
{
JOptionPane pane = new JOptionPane("Could not open link.");
JDialog dialog = pane.createDialog(new JFrame(), "");
dialog.setVisible(true);
}
}
public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e)
{
}
public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e)
{
}
});
return link;
}
It'll give you a JLabel that acts like a proper link.
In action:
public static void main(String[] args)
{
JFrame frame = new JFrame("Linkify Test");
frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
frame.setSize(400, 100);
frame.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
Container container = frame.getContentPane();
container.setLayout(new GridBagLayout());
container.add(new JLabel("Click "));
container.add(linkify("this", "http://facebook.com", "Facebook"));
container.add(new JLabel(" link to open Facebook."));
frame.setVisible(true);
}
If you'd like no tooltip just send a null.
Hope someone finds this useful! (If you do, be sure to let me know, I'd be happy to hear.)

Here's another. Takes an absolute file path and a given string and passes it to word_find(), uses readlines() method on the given file within the enumerate() method which gives an iterable count as it traverses line by line, in the end giving you the line with the matching string, plus the given line number. Cheers.

if __name__ == '__main__':
file_to_process = '/path/to/file'
string_to_find = input()
word_find(file_to_process, string_to_find)

Summarising @Rasmi Ranjan Nayak and @nogard answers and adding another option:
You should use the flag --gtest_filter
, like
--gtest_filter=Test_Cases1*
(You can also do this in Properties|Configuration Properties|Debugging|Command Arguments)
You should set the variable GTEST_FILTER
like
export GTEST_FILTER = "Test_Cases1*"
You should set a flag filter
, like
::testing::GTEST_FLAG(filter) = "Test_Cases1*";
such that your main function becomes something like
int main(int argc, char **argv) {
::testing::InitGoogleTest(&argc, argv);
::testing::GTEST_FLAG(filter) = "Test_Cases1*";
return RUN_ALL_TESTS();
}
See section Running a Subset of the Tests for more info on the syntax of the string you can use.
A POJO is just a plain, old Java Bean with the restrictions removed. Java Beans must meet the following requirements:
POJO does not mandate any of these. It's just what the name says: an object that compiles under JDK can be considered a Plain Old Java Object. No app server, no base classes, no interfaces required to use.
The acronym POJO was a reaction against EJB 2.0, which required several interfaces, extended base classes, and lots of methods just to do simple things. Some people, Rod Johnson and Martin Fowler among them, rebelled against the complexity and sought a way to implement enterprise scale solutions without having to write EJBs.
Martin Fowler coined a new acronym.
Rod Johnson wrote "J2EE Without EJBs", wrote Spring, influenced EJB enough so version 3.1 looks a great deal like Spring and Hibernate, and got a sweet IPO from VMWare out of it.
Here's an example that you can wrap your head around:
public class MyFirstPojo
{
private String name;
public static void main(String [] args)
{
for (String arg : args)
{
MyFirstPojo pojo = new MyFirstPojo(arg); // Here's how you create a POJO
System.out.println(pojo);
}
}
public MyFirstPojo(String name)
{
this.name = name;
}
public String getName() { return this.name; }
public String toString() { return this.name; }
}
to make it work in intelliJ, you can also add
<generatedSourcesDirectory>src/main/generated</generatedSourcesDirectory>
to maven-compiler-plugin

I tried the below solution and it work fine for me.
/\(?([0-9]{3})\)?([ .-]?)([0-9]{3})\2([0-9]{4})/
Tried below phone format:
You are using str
methods on an open file object.
You can read the file as a list of lines by simply calling list()
on the file object:
with open('goodlines.txt') as f:
mylist = list(f)
This does include the newline characters. You can strip those in a list comprehension:
with open('goodlines.txt') as f:
mylist = [line.rstrip('\n') for line in f]
I've found the solution in this thread
@(ViewContext.RouteData.Values["parameterName"])
To get this i tried following code :
protected T GetObject<T>()
{
T obj = default(T);
obj =Activator.CreateInstance<T>();
return obj ;
}
Somehow even Webstorm made it like this import {of} from 'rxjs/observable/of';
and everything started to work

Simulator mimics the activity of something that it is simulating. It "appears"(a lot can go with this "appears", depending on the context) to be the same as the thing being simulated. For example the flight simulator "appears" to be a real flight to the user, although it does not transport you from one place to another.
Emulator, on the other hand, actually "does" what the thing being emulated does, and in doing so it too "appears to be doing the same thing". An emulator may use different set of protocols for mimicking the thing being emulated, but the result/outcome is always the same as the original object. For example, EMU8086 emulates the 8086 microprocessor on your computer, which obviously is not running on 8086 (= different protocols), but the output it gives is what a real 8086 would give.

Replacing forward(/) slash with backward(\) slash will do the job. The folder separator in Windows is \ not /
If you mean the row number after the last row that is used, you can find it with this:
Dim unusedRow As Long
unusedRow = Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell).Offset(1, 0).Row
If you mean a row that happens to be blank with data after it... it gets more complicated.
Here's a function I wrote which will give you the actual row number of the first row that is blank for the provided worksheet.
Function firstBlankRow(ws As Worksheet) As Long
'returns the row # of the row after the last used row
'Or the first row with no data in it
Dim rw As Range
For Each rw In ws.UsedRange.Rows
If rw.Address = ws.Range(rw.Address).SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks). _
Address Then
firstBlankRow = rw.Row
Exit For
End If
Next
If firstBlankRow = 0 Then
firstBlankRow = ws.Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell). _
Offset(1, 0).Row
End If
End Function
Usage example: firstblankRow(thisworkbook.Sheets(1))
or pass any worksheet.
Edit: As ooo pointed out, this will error if there are no blank cells in your used range.
In jsp you can do it like this:
<%
boolean checkboxDisabled = true; //do your logic here
String checkboxState = checkboxDisabled ? "disabled" : "";
%>
<input type="checkbox" <%=checkboxState%>>
If you can get away with using Guava it is by far the simplest way to do it, and you don't have to reinvent the wheel:
final HashCode hashCode = Hashing.sha1().hashString(yourValue, Charset.defaultCharset());
You can then take the hashed value and get it as a byte[]
, as an int
, or as a long
.
No wrapping in a try catch, no shenanigans. And if you decide you want to use something other than SHA-1, Guava also supports sha256, sha 512, and a few I had never even heard about like adler32 and murmur3.
Use HH
for 24 hour hours format:
DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss")
Or the tt
format specifier for the AM/PM
part:
DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss tt")
Take a look at the custom Date and Time format strings documentation.
/C
Carries out the command specified by the string and then terminates.
You can get all the cmd command line switches by typing cmd /?
.
This is specific to Windows.
I was facing the same issue where I have to kill one specific java program using taskkill. When I run the java program, tasklist was showing the same program with Image name set as java.exe.
But killing it using taskkill /F java.exe
will stop all other java applications other than intended one which is not required.
So I run the same java program using:
start "MyProgramName" java java-program..
Here start command will open a new window and run the java program with window's title set to MyProgramName.
Now to kill this java-program use the following taskkill command:
taskkill /fi "MyProgramName"
Your Java program will be killed only. Rest will be unaffected.
This cannot be answered that easily. It depends on the font used and the points per inch (ppi). This should give an overview of the problem.
If it is a Gradle project, in your build.gradle file, search for following settings:
sourceCompatibility = "xx"
targetCompatibility = "xx"
For all subrpojects, in your root build.gradle file, you may put:
subprojects { project ->
sourceCompatibility = "1.7"
targetCompatibility = "1.7"
}
Although you can manually set language levels in Idea > Settings, if it is a Gradle project, Idea automatically synchronizes module .iml files from Gradle settings ( tested with Idea 15+). So all your manual changes are overriden when gradle is refreshed.
Based on Gradle documentation, if these are not set, then current JVM configuration is used.

You could pass a function to the key
parameter to the .sort
method. With this, the system will sort by key(x) instead of x.
list1.sort(key=int)
BTW, to convert the list to integers permanently, use the map
function
list1 = list(map(int, list1)) # you don't need to call list() in Python 2.x
or list comprehension
list1 = [int(x) for x in list1]

Operation timed out (IPv6 issues)# You may run into errors if IPv6 is not configured correctly. A common error is:
The "https://getcomposer.org/version" file could not be downloaded: failed to
open stream: Operation timed out
We recommend you fix your IPv6 setup. If that is not possible, you can try the following workarounds:
Workaround Linux:
On linux, it seems that running this command helps to make ipv4 traffic have a higher prio than ipv6, which is a better alternative than disabling ipv6 entirely:
sudo sh -c "echo 'precedence ::ffff:0:0/96 100' >> /etc/gai.conf"
Workaround Windows:
On windows the only way is to disable ipv6 entirely I am afraid (either in windows or in your home router).
Workaround Mac OS X:
Get name of your network device:
networksetup -listallnetworkservices
Disable IPv6 on that device (in this case "Wi-Fi"):
networksetup -setv6off Wi-Fi
Run composer ...
You can enable IPv6 again with:
networksetup -setv6automatic Wi-Fi
That said, if this fixes your problem, please talk to your ISP about it to try and resolve the routing errors. That's the best way to get things resolved for everyone.
Hoping it will help you!
At first, you must specify your path, the path that your *.csv
files are in there
path = 'f:\project\dataset'
You can change it based on your system.
then,
use dir
function :
files = dir (strcat(path,'\*.csv'))
L = length (files);
for i=1:L
image{i}=csvread(strcat(path,'\',file(i).name));
% process the image in here
end
pwd
also can be used.
Use an OrderedDict. This will ensure that the order is preserved
>>> ''.join(OrderedDict.fromkeys( "aaabcabccd").keys())
'abcd'
PS: I just timed both the OrderedDict and Set solution, and the later is faster. If order does not matter, set should be the natural solution, if Order Matter;s this is how you should do.
>>> from timeit import Timer
>>> t1 = Timer(stmt=stmt1, setup="from __main__ import data, OrderedDict")
>>> t2 = Timer(stmt=stmt2, setup="from __main__ import data")
>>> t1.timeit(number=1000)
1.2893918431815337
>>> t2.timeit(number=1000)

To add to those who have mentioned the implicit rules, it's best to see what make has defined implicitly and for your env using:
make -p
For instance:
%.o: %.c
$(COMPILE.c) $(OUTPUT_OPTION) $<
which expands
COMPILE.c = $(CXX) $(CXXFLAGS) $(CPPFLAGS) $(TARGET_ARCH) -c
This will also print # environment
data. Here, you will find GCC's include path among other useful info.
C_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/include
In make, when it comes to search, the paths are many, the light is one... or something to that effect.
C_INCLUDE_PATH
is system-wide, set it in your shell's *.rc
.$(CPPFLAGS)
is for the preprocessor include path.VPATH = my_dir_to_search
... or even more specific
vpath %.c src
vpath %.h include
make uses VPATH as a general search path so use cautiously. If a file exists in more than one location listed in VPATH, make will take the first occurrence in the list.
The gradle versions in android studio and your code is not the same. This is why even after you update the gradle version on android studio, the error still persist.
So, edit the Gradle distribution reference in the gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties file:
distributionUrl = https\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-5.4.1-all.zip
Ref: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/gradle-plugin.html#updating-gradle
You can just set it to a class variable and read it from the main program:
class Foo:
def __init__(self):
#Do your stuff here
self.returncode = 42
bar = Foo()
baz = bar.returncode
So simple you can use case statement here.
CASE WHEN ISSUE_DIVISION = ISSUE_DIVISION_2 THEN
CASE WHEN ISSUE_DIVISION is null then "Null Value found" //give your option
Else 1 End
ELSE 0 END As Issue_Division_Result
The accepted answer is great if you have an object you want to turn into JSON. The question also mentions pretty-printing just any JSON string, and that's what I was trying to do. I just wanted to pretty-log some JSON from a POST request (specifically a CSP violation report).
To use MarshalIndent
, you would have to Unmarshal
that into an object. If you need that, go for it, but I didn't. If you just need to pretty-print a byte array, plain Indent
is your friend.
Here's what I ended up with:
import (
"bytes"
"encoding/json"
"log"
"net/http"
)
func HandleCSPViolationRequest(w http.ResponseWriter, req *http.Request) {
body := App.MustReadBody(req, w)
if body == nil {
return
}
var prettyJSON bytes.Buffer
error := json.Indent(&prettyJSON, body, "", "\t")
if error != nil {
log.Println("JSON parse error: ", error)
App.BadRequest(w)
return
}
log.Println("CSP Violation:", string(prettyJSON.Bytes()))
}
First of all, thanks for guiding me and closing this issue. I found a way to fix this issue from your discussions. Yeah, Let's come to the point. The thing is I'm Using GoogleMapHelper v3 helper in CakePHP3. When i tried to open bootstrap modal popup, I got struck with the grey box issue over the map. It's been extended for 2 days. Finally i got a fix over this.
We need to Update the GoogleMapHelper to fix the issue
Need to add the below script in setCenterMap function
google.maps.event.trigger({$id}, \"resize\");
And need the include below code in JavaScript
google.maps.event.addListenerOnce({$id}, 'idle', function(){
setCenterMap(new google.maps.LatLng({$this->defaultLatitude},
{$this->defaultLongitude}));
});
var object = { "a": 1, "b": 2};_x000D_
$.each(object, function(key, value){_x000D_
console.log(key + ": " + object[key]);_x000D_
});
_x000D_
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.0.0/jquery.min.js"></script>
_x000D_
//output
a: 1
b: 2
A less verbose approach:
int number = [dict[@"integer"] intValue];
<system.webServer>
<httpErrors errorMode="DetailedLocalOnly">
<remove statusCode="404" subStatusCode="-1" />
<error statusCode="404" prefixLanguageFilePath="" path="your page" responseMode="Redirect" />
</httpErrors>
</system.webServer>
Wrap them in an extra pair of parens and you're good to go.

composer require vendor/package:version
for example:
composer require refinery29/test-util:0.10.2
I just do this way :
if let myView = UINib.init(nibName: "MyView", bundle: nil).instantiate(withOwner: self)[0] as? MyView {
// Do something with myView
}
This sample uses the first view in the nib "MyView.xib" in the main bundle. But you can vary either the index, the nib name, or the bundle ( main by default ).
I used to awake views into the view init method or make generic methods as in the proposed answers above ( which are smart by the way ), but I don't do it anymore because I have noticed use cases are often different, and to cover all cases, generic methods become as complex as using the UINib.instantiate method.
I prefer to use a factory object, usually the ViewController that will use the view, or a dedicated factory object or view extension if the view needs to be used in multiple places.
In this example, a ViewController loads a view from nib. The nib file can be changed to use different layouts for the same view class. ( This not nice code, it just illustrates the idea )
class MyViewController {
// Use "MyView-Compact" for compact version
var myViewNibFileName = "MyView-Standard"
lazy var myView: MyView = {
// Be sure the Nib is correct, or it will crash
// We don't want to continue with a wrong view anyway, so ! is ok
UINib.init(nibName: myViewNibFileName, bundle: nil).instantiate(withOwner: self)[0] as! MyView
}()
}

Pointer helps to create user defined scope to a variable, which is called Dynamic variable. Dynamic Variable can be single variable or group of variable of same type (array
) or group of variable of different types (struct
). Default local variable scope starts when control enters into a function and ends when control comes out of that function. Default global vairable scope starts at program execution and ends once program finishes.
But scope of a dynamic variable which holds by a pointer can start and end at any point in a program execution, which has to be decided by a programmer. Dangling and memory leak comes into picture only if a programmer doesnt handle the end of scope.
Memory leak will occur if a programmer, doesnt write the code (free
of pointer) for end of scope for dynamic variables. Any way once program exits complete process memory will be freed, at that time this leaked memory also will get freed. But it will cause a very serious problem for a process which is running long time.
Once scope of dynamic variable comes to end(freed), NULL
should be assigned to pointer variable. Otherwise if the code wrongly accesses it undefined behaviour will happen. So dangling pointer is nothing but a pointer which is pointing a dynamic variable whose scope is already finished.
For completion sake:
#table_id td:nth-child(2) {white-space: nowrap;}
Is used for applying a style to the 2 column of the table_id
table.
This is supported by all major Browsers, IE started supporting this from IE9 onwards.
If you have a method that you want to throw an error but you want to do some cleanup in your method beforehand you can put the code that will throw the exception inside a try block, then put the cleanup in the catch block, then throw the error.
try {
//Dangerous code: could throw an error
} catch (Exception e) {
//Cleanup: make sure that this methods variables and such are in the desired state
throw e;
}
This way the try/catch block is not actually handling the error but it gives you time to do stuff before the method terminates and still ensures that the error is passed on to the caller.
An example of this would be if a variable changed in the method then that variable was the cause of an error. It may be desirable to revert the variable.
I extended python's random.shuffle() to take a second arg:
def shuffle_together(x, y):
assert len(x) == len(y)
for i in reversed(xrange(1, len(x))):
# pick an element in x[:i+1] with which to exchange x[i]
j = int(random.random() * (i+1))
x[i], x[j] = x[j], x[i]
y[i], y[j] = y[j], y[i]
That way I can be sure that the shuffling happens in-place, and the function is not all too long or complicated.
Here is the solution for Rest API

A good place to start is the sample application provided on the developer docs.
Take a look at other IME's to see what you should be aiming for. Some (like the official one) are open source.
This usually occurs when your current directory does not exist anymore. Most likely, from another terminal you remove that directory (from within a script or whatever). To get rid of this, in case your current directory was recreated in the meantime, just cd
to another (existing) directory and then cd
back; the simplest would be: cd; cd -
.
In .NET the struct and class declarations differentiate between reference types and value types.
When you pass round a reference type there is only one actually stored. All the code that accesses the instance is accessing the same one.
When you pass round a value type each one is a copy. All the code is working on its own copy.
This can be shown with an example:
struct MyStruct
{
string MyProperty { get; set; }
}
void ChangeMyStruct(MyStruct input)
{
input.MyProperty = "new value";
}
...
// Create value type
MyStruct testStruct = new MyStruct { MyProperty = "initial value" };
ChangeMyStruct(testStruct);
// Value of testStruct.MyProperty is still "initial value"
// - the method changed a new copy of the structure.
For a class this would be different
class MyClass
{
string MyProperty { get; set; }
}
void ChangeMyClass(MyClass input)
{
input.MyProperty = "new value";
}
...
// Create reference type
MyClass testClass = new MyClass { MyProperty = "initial value" };
ChangeMyClass(testClass);
// Value of testClass.MyProperty is now "new value"
// - the method changed the instance passed.
Classes can be nothing - the reference can point to a null.
Structs are the actual value - they can be empty but never null. For this reason structs always have a default constructor with no parameters - they need a 'starting value'.
Assuming you have some level of control over the protocol, I'm a big fan of sending heartbeats to verify that a connection is active. It's proven to be the most fail proof method and will often give you the quickest notification when a connection has been broken.
TCP keepalives will work, but what if the remote host is suddenly powered off? TCP can take a long time to timeout. On the other hand, if you have logic in your app that expects a heartbeat reply every x seconds, the first time you don't get them you know the connection no longer works, either by a network or a server issue on the remote side.
See Do I need to heartbeat to keep a TCP connection open? for more discussion.
you can also use:
pip install package==0.5.*
which is more consistent and easy to read.
An example of where the console will return ReferenceError is putting a function inside a JQuery document ready function
//this will fail
$(document).ready(function () {
myFunction(alert('doing something!'));
//other stuff
}
To succeed move the function outside the document ready function
//this will work
myFunction(alert('doing something!'));
$(document).ready(function () {
//other stuff
}
Then in the console window, type the function name with the '()' to execute the function
myFunction()
Also of use is being able to print out the function body to remind yourself what the function does. Do this by leaving off the '()' from the function name
function myFunction(alert('doing something!'))
Of course if you need the function to be registered after the document is loaded then you couldn't do this. But you might be able to work around that.
For Windows Forms you can control cursor position (and selection) with txtbox.SelectionStart
and txtbox.SelectionLength
properties. If you want to set caret to end try this:
txtbox.SelectionStart = txtbox.Text.Length;
txtbox.SelectionLength = 0;
For WPF see this question.
I was using SQLTool where I was getting oci.dll was not found then I downloaded instantclient-basic-nt-12.2.0.1.0 extracted it and added the folder till oci.dll file in path variable
eg.: Path: .;D:\Softwares\Oracle Instant Client\instantclient_12_2
It resolve my issue, now I am able to open the SQLTool
This solution worked better for me:
Note: You will have to check the box "Do not show this message again" the first time for the organized imports, but it works as expected after that.
step 2. with: Edit -> Macros -> "Start Macro Recording"
step 6. with: Edit -> Macros -> "Stop Macro Recording"
Everything else remains the same.

It got deprecated in version 4.3-alpha1
which you use because of the LATEST
version specification. If you take a look at the javadoc of the class, it tells you what to use instead: HttpClientBuilder
.
In the latest stable version (4.2.3
) the DefaultHttpClient
is not deprecated yet.
The date can be converted in typescript to this format 'yyyy-MM-dd'
by using Datepipe
import { DatePipe } from '@angular/common'
...
constructor(public datepipe: DatePipe){}
...
myFunction(){
this.date=new Date();
let latest_date =this.datepipe.transform(this.date, 'yyyy-MM-dd');
}
and just add Datepipe in 'providers' array of app.module.ts. Like this:
import { DatePipe } from '@angular/common'
...
providers: [DatePipe]
If you are running on headless CI and are installing the Android SDK through command line, make sure to include the m2repository packages in the --filter
argument:
android update sdk --no-ui --filter platform-tools,build-tools-19.0.1,android-19,extra-android-support,extra-android-m2repository,extra-google-m2repository
Update
As of Android SDK Manager rev. 22.6.4 this does not work anymore. Try this instead:
android list sdk --all
You will get a list of all available SDK packages. Look up the numerical values of the components from the first command above ("Google Repository" and others you might be missing).
Install the packages using their numerical values:
android update sdk --no-ui --all --filter <num>
Update #2 (Sept 2017)
With the "new" Android SDK tools that were released earlier this year, the android
command is now deprecated, and similar functionality has been moved to a new tool called sdkmanager
:
List installed components:
sdkmanager --list
Update installed components:
sdkmanager --update
Install a new component (e.g. build tools version 26.0.0
):
sdkmanager 'build-tools;26.0.0'

from __future__ import with_statement
Here's the closest thing to correct that you have. You're almost there, but with
doesn't have an except
clause:
with open("a.txt") as f: print(f.readlines()) except: # <- with doesn't have an except clause. print('oops')
A context manager's __exit__
method, if it returns False
will reraise the error when it finishes. If it returns True
, it will suppress it. The open
builtin's __exit__
doesn't return True
, so you just need to nest it in a try, except block:
try:
with open("a.txt") as f:
print(f.readlines())
except Exception as error:
print('oops')
And standard boilerplate: don't use a bare except:
which catches BaseException
and every other possible exception and warning. Be at least as specific as Exception
, and for this error, perhaps catch IOError
. Only catch errors you're prepared to handle.
So in this case, you'd do:
>>> try:
... with open("a.txt") as f:
... print(f.readlines())
... except IOError as error:
... print('oops')
...
oops
Accordig to this: https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=54784 casting as char should do the trick:
SELECT report_id, computer_id, MAX(CAST(date_entered AS CHAR))
FROM reports
GROUP BY report_id, computer_id
<p class="pull-left">Text left</p>
<p class="text-right">Text right in same line</p>
This work for me.

cPickle
comes with the standard library… in python 2.x. You are on python 3.x, so if you want cPickle
, you can do this:
>>> import _pickle as cPickle
However, in 3.x, it's easier just to use pickle
.
No need to install anything. If something requires cPickle
in python 3.x, then that's probably a bug.
Yeah, you need to grab the result of matcher.replaceAll()
:
String result = matcher.replaceAll(" ");
System.out.println(result);
Let's say you have an array of IDs and equivalent array of statuses - here is an example how to do this with a static SQL (a sql query that doesn't change due to different values) of the arrays :
drop table if exists results_dummy;
create table results_dummy (id int, status text, created_at timestamp default now(), updated_at timestamp default now());
-- populate table with dummy rows
insert into results_dummy
(id, status)
select unnest(array[1,2,3,4,5]::int[]) as id, unnest(array['a','b','c','d','e']::text[]) as status;
select * from results_dummy;
-- THE update of multiple rows with/by different values
update results_dummy as rd
set status=new.status, updated_at=now()
from (select unnest(array[1,2,5]::int[]) as id,unnest(array['a`','b`','e`']::text[]) as status) as new
where rd.id=new.id;
select * from results_dummy;
-- in code using **IDs** as first bind variable and **statuses** as the second bind variable:
update results_dummy as rd
set status=new.status, updated_at=now()
from (select unnest(:1::int[]) as id,unnest(:2::text[]) as status) as new
where rd.id=new.id;
If you just call:
string[] ssize = myStr.Split(null); //Or myStr.Split()
or:
string[] ssize = myStr.Split(new char[0]);
then white-space is assumed to be the splitting character. From the string.Split(char[])
method's documentation page.
If the separator parameter is
null
or contains no characters, white-space characters are assumed to be the delimiters. White-space characters are defined by the Unicode standard and returntrue
if they are passed to theChar.IsWhiteSpace
method.
Always, always, always read the documentation!

This solved my problem once in Windows:
subst X: "C:\Program files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5"
gem install mysql2 -v 0.x.x --platform=ruby -- --with-mysql-dir=X: --with-mysql-lib=X:\lib\opt
subst X: /D
You can use the following code to fit your system screen and task bar is visible.
private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// hide max,min and close button at top right of Window
this.FormBorderStyle = FormBorderStyle.None;
// fill the screen
this.Bounds = Screen.PrimaryScreen.Bounds;
}
No need to use:
this.TopMost = true;
That line interferes with alt+tab
to switch to other application. ("TopMost" means the window stays on top of other windows, unless they are also marked "TopMost".)
Because the second element is null after you clear the list.
Use:
String s = myList.get(0);
And remember, index 0 is the first element.
As of version 11, Opera supports linear gradients with the -o- vendor prefix. Chris Mills wrote a Dev.Opera article about it: http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/css3-linear-gradients/
Radial gradients are still in the works (both in the spec, and within Opera).
Another alternative is to use Pycharm IDE. For each project, you can set the Project Interpreter in Settings.
For example, if anaconda is installed in /home/user/anaconda2/bin/python, you can select the Project Interpreter and set to this folder.
Since the whole project is set to Anaconda's path, you can import any module which is packaged within Anaconda.
If you are in Jupyter notebook, you could run the following code to interactively display the dataframe in a well formatted table.
This answer builds on the to_html('temp.html') answer above, but instead of creating a file displays the well formatted table directly in the notebook:
from IPython.display import display, HTML
display(HTML(df.to_html()))
Credit for this code due to example at: Show DataFrame as table in iPython Notebook
That's because arc4random_uniform() is defined as follows:
func arc4random_uniform(_: UInt32) -> UInt32
It takes a UInt32 as input, and spits out a UInt32. You're attempting to pass it a range of values. arc4random_uniform gives you a random number in between 0 and and the number you pass it (exclusively), so if for example, you wanted to find a random number between -50 and 50, as in [-50, 50]
you could use arc4random_uniform(101) - 50
Both are the same thing but many of the databases are not providing the varying char mainly postgreSQL is providing. So for the multi database like Oracle Postgre and DB2 it is good to use the Varchar
For non-grouped elements, name and id should be same. In this case you gave name as 'sp' and id as 'sp_100'. Don't do that, do it like this:
HTML:
<input type="hidden" id="msg" name="msg" value="" style="display:none"/>
<input type="checkbox" name="sp" value="100" id="sp">
Javascript:
var Msg="abc";
document.getElementById('msg').value = Msg;
document.getElementById('sp').checked = true;

You are correct in guessing that the aim of using string builder is not achieved, at least not to its full extent.
However, when the compiler sees the expression "select id1, " + " id2 " + " from " + " table"
it emits code which actually creates a StringBuilder
behind the scenes and appends to it, so the end result is not that bad afterall.
But of course anyone looking at that code is bound to think that it is kind of retarded.
With JQuery you can try this $(window).innerHeight()
(Works for me on Chrome, FF and IE). With bootstrap modal I used something like the following;
$('#YourModal').on('show.bs.modal', function () {
$('.modal-body').css('height', $(window).innerHeight() * 0.7);
});
I'm using next approach:
ProductID OrderID,...
ProductID Title Name LanguageID
LanguageID Name Culture,....
for jQuery
we can use below:
by input name:
$('input[name="textboxname"]').val('some value');
by input class:
$('input[type=text].textboxclass').val('some value');
by input id:
$('#textboxid').val('some value');
I had a lot of problems exporting a project from Eclipse (assuming that is where you are exporting from). It was much easier for me to create a new project in Android Studio, then copy over the java files, xml files, layout directories, etc, and the AndroidManifest, into the appropriate location in the new project.
If you already have an R.java file for your project, you could try just copying it over to the new project. In Android Studio the R.java file seems to reside in build/source/r/debug/your-package-name/
I have tried this with and without the WRITE_INTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
There is no WRITE_INTERNAL_STORAGE
permission in Android.
How do I create this file for writing?
You don't, except perhaps on a rooted device, if your app is running with superuser privileges. You are trying to write to the root of internal storage, which apps do not have access to.
Please use the version of the FileOutputStream
constructor that takes a File
object. Create that File
object based off of some location that you can write to, such as:
getFilesDir()
(called on your Activity
or other Context
)getExternalFilesDir()
(called on your Activity
or other Context
)The latter will require WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
as a permission.
Is there an easier way than writing it to a file then reading from it again?
You can temporarily put it in a static data member.
because many people don't have SD card slots
"SD card slots" are irrelevant, by and large. 99% of Android device users will have external storage -- the exception will be 4+ year old devices where the user removed their SD card. Devices manufactured since mid-2010 have external storage as part of on-board flash, not as removable media.
To check if a path is an existing file:
Return
True
if path is an existing regular file. This follows symbolic links, so bothislink()
andisfile()
can be true for the same path.
With version 3 of the Google Maps API, the easiest way to do this may be by grabbing a custom icon set, like the one that Benjamin Keen has created here:
http://www.benjaminkeen.com/?p=105
If you put all of those icons at the same place as your map page, you can colorize a Marker simply by using the appropriate icon option when creating it:
var beachMarker = new google.maps.Marker({
position: myLatLng,
map: map,
icon: 'brown_markerA.png'
});
This is super-easy, and is the approach I'm using for the project I'm working on currently.
I had this problem and I solved with this way:
fieldset.scheduler-border {
border: solid 1px #DDD !important;
padding: 0 10px 10px 10px;
border-bottom: none;
}
legend.scheduler-border {
width: auto !important;
border: none;
font-size: 14px;
}
You're already doing it!
save()
will check if something in the model has changed. If it hasn't it won't run a db query.
Here's the relevant part of code in Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Model@performUpdate
:
protected function performUpdate(Builder $query, array $options = [])
{
$dirty = $this->getDirty();
if (count($dirty) > 0)
{
// runs update query
}
return true;
}
The getDirty()
method simply compares the current attributes with a copy saved in original
when the model is created. This is done in the syncOriginal()
method:
public function __construct(array $attributes = array())
{
$this->bootIfNotBooted();
$this->syncOriginal();
$this->fill($attributes);
}
public function syncOriginal()
{
$this->original = $this->attributes;
return $this;
}
If you want to check if the model is dirty just call isDirty()
:
if($product->isDirty()){
// changes have been made
}
Or if you want to check a certain attribute:
if($product->isDirty('price')){
// price has changed
}
I also encountered this problem, it troubled me for a long time, until I solved it according to @Chase Ries method.
The key to solving the problem is:
Try checking your
bin/pip
andbin/activate
scripts. Inbin/pip
, look at the shebang. Is it correct? If not, correct it. Then on line ~42
in yourbin/activate
, check to see if your virtualenv path is right. It'll look something like thisVIRTUAL_ENV="/Users/me/path/to/virtual/environment"
If it's wrong, correct it,
deactivate
, then. bin/activate
, and if our mutual problem had the same cause, it should work.
Below, I will explain this process in detail in the Ubuntu
environment, the same is true for Windows
and MacOS
.
The meaning of this sentence is that we need to check whether the first line #!/path/python
of the bin/pip
file in the virtual environment is correct.
As originally shown in my file:
#!/home/banni/dai/.venv/bin/python3
Run pip
in terminal(absolute path):
/home/banni/dai/.venv/bin/pip
Will find an error:
bash: ./pip: /home/banni/dai/.venv/bin/python3: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
Now I am confused why I can't find this python3
, because python3
exists in the folder .venv/bin
where the virtual environment is located.
I check the absolute path of the folder .venv/bin
. After executing the pwd
command, it displays:
/home/banni/Research/dai/.venv/bin
Carefully observe that the path of the .venv
folder has changed. Change the first line of the /bin/pip
file to
#!/home/banni/Research/dai/.venv/bin/python3
In the same way, check and modify the bin/activate
file.
I changed VIRTUAL_ENV="/home/banni/dai/.venv"
to VIRTUAL_ENV="/home/banni/Research/dai/.venv"
At this point, after activating the virtual environment, the pip
command can be executed normally.
So, for me, the reason for this problem is that the path of the folder where the virtual environment is located has changed (a secret problem that was left when the folders were organized before).
However, due to the change in the location of the folder where the virtual environment is located, there may be many path errors, so the easiest way is to restore the folder where the virtual environment is located to the original location.
I think this one will answer your question :P

Another suggestion, Let's say you have two same words in the String
String s1 = "who is my brother, who is your brother"; // I don't mind the meaning of the sentence.
replace function will change every string is given in the first parameter to the second parameter
System.out.println(s1.replace("brother", "sister")); // who is my sister, who is your sister
and you can use also replaceAll method for the same result
System.out.println(s1.replace("brother", "sister")); // who is my sister, who is your sister
if you want to change just the first string which is positioned earlier,
System.out.println(s1.replaceFirst("brother", "sister")); // whos is my sister, who is your brother.
Use the native PHP $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']
variable instead.
For window users this may be due to conflicting installation with virtualenv. For me it worked when I uninstalled virtualenv and pipenv first, and then install only pipenv.
pip uninstall virtualenv
pip uninstall pipenv
pip install pipenv
Now pipenv install xxx
worked for me
On socket.io >=1.0, after the connect event has triggered:
var socket = io('localhost');
var id = socket.io.engine.id
You can run it in NuGet Package Manager Console in Visual Studio 2013.
If you are not targeting 2.x versions you can set your minimum sdk version of 4.x and then create project. Appcompat V7 lib wont be created.
Following up on Niketya's answer, there's a good explanation of Pivot Tables here: http://peltiertech.com/WordPress/grouping-by-date-in-a-pivot-table/
For Excel 2007 you'd create the Pivot Table, make your Date column a Row Label, your Amount column a value. You'd then right click on one of the row labels (ie a date), right click and select Group. You'd then get the option to group by day, month, etc.
Personally that's the way I'd go.
If you prefer formulae, Smandoli's answer would get you most of the way there. To be able to use Sumif by day, you'd add a column with a formula like:
=DATE(YEAR(C1), MONTH(C1), DAY(C1))
where column C contains your datetimes.
You can then use this in your sumif.
