I found that, when you use EXTERNAL TABLE and LOCATION together, Hive creates table and initially no data will present (assuming your data location is different from the Hive 'LOCATION').

When you use 'LOAD DATA INPATH' command, the data get MOVED (instead of copy) from data location to location that you specified while creating Hive table.

If location is not given when you create Hive table, it uses internal Hive warehouse location and data will get moved from your source data location to internal Hive data warehouse location (i.e. /user/hive/warehouse/).

One can access the "Find in Files" window via the drop-down menu selection and search all files in the Entire Solution: Edit > Find and Replace > Find in Files

Other, alternative is to open the "Find in Files" window via the "Standard Toolbars" button as highlighted in the below screen-short:

You may try to put the right database name in connection url in the configuration file. As I had the same error while run the POJO class file and it has been solved by this.

Your Person objects need to implement a method, say compare: which takes another Person object, and return NSComparisonResult according to the relationship between the 2 objects.

Then you would call sortedArrayUsingSelector: with @selector(compare:) and it should be done.

There are other ways, but as far as I know there is no Cocoa-equiv of the Comparable interface. Using sortedArrayUsingSelector: is probably the most painless way to do it.

This is documented behavior. From ?as.Date:

format: A character string. If not specified, it will try '"%Y-%m-%d"' then '"%Y/%m/%d"' on the first non-'NA' element, and give an error if neither works.

as.Date("01 Jan 2000") yields an error because the format isn't one of the two listed above. as.Date("01/01/2000") yields an incorrect answer because the date isn't in one of the two formats listed above.

I take "standard unambiguous" to mean "ISO-8601" (even though as.Date isn't that strict, as "%m/%d/%Y" isn't ISO-8601).

If you receive this error, the solution is to specify the format your date (or datetimes) are in, using the formats described in ?strptime. Be sure to use particular care if your data contain day/month names and/or abbreviations, as the conversion will depend on your locale (see the examples in ?strptime and read ?LC_TIME).

I had the same issue but installing the Windows 8.1 SDK as per Catquatwa's answer did not work for me (signtool.exe was still missing from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\vX\Bin).

Well, it generally depends on the shell. For bash, it marks the variable as "exportable" meaning that it will show up in the environment for any child processes you run.

Non-exported variables are only visible from the current process (the shell).

From the bash man page:

The supplied names are marked for automatic export to the environment of subsequently executed commands.

If the -f option is given, the names refer to functions. If no names are given, or if the -p option is supplied, a list of all names that are exported in this shell is printed.

You can also set variables as exportable with the typeset command and automatically mark all future variable creations or modifications as such, with set -a.

I am a bit extending provided answers (since so far they concentrate on their "own"/artificial terminology focusing on programming a particular language instead of taking care of the bigger picture behind the scene of creating the programming languages, in general, i.e. when things like type-safety vs. memory considerations make the difference):

Java code on 3rd line (bar)?1:0 illustrates that bar (boolean) cannot be implicitly converted (casted) into an int. I am bringing this up not to illustrate the details of implementation behind JVM, but to point out that in terms of low level considerations (as memory size) one does have to prefer values over type safety. Especially if that type safety is not truly/fully used as in boolean types where checks are done in form of

if value \in {0,1} then cast to boolean type, otherwise throw an exception.

All just to state that {0,1} < {-2^31, .. , 2^31 -1}. Seems like an overkill, right? Type safety is truly important in user defined types, not in implicit casting of primitives (although last are included in the first).

Bytes are not types or bits

Note that in memory your variable from range of {0,1} will still occupy at least a byte or a word (xbits depending on the size of the register) unless specially taken care of (e.g. packed nicely in memory - 8 "boolean" bits into 1 byte - back and forth).

By preferring type safety (as in putting/wrapping value into a box of a particular type) over extra value packing (e.g. using bit shifts or arithmetic), one does effectively chooses writing less code over gaining more memory. (On the other hand one can always define a custom user type which will facilitate all the conversion not worth than Boolean).

keyword vs. type

Finally, your question is about comparing keyword vs. type. I believe it is important to explain why or how exactly you will get performance by using/preferring keywords ("marked" as primitive) over types (normal composite user-definable classes using another keyword class) or in other words

boolean foo = true;

vs.

Boolean foo = true;

The first "thing" (type) can not be extended (subclassed) and not without a reason. Effectively Java terminology of primitive and wrapping classes can be simply translated into inline value (a LITERAL or a constant that gets directly substituted by compiler whenever it is possible to infer the substitution or if not - still fallback into wrapping the value).

Optimization is achieved due to trivial:

"Less runtime casting operations => more speed."

That is why when the actual type inference is done it may (still) end up in instantiating of wrapping class with all the type information if necessary (or converting/casting into such).

So, the difference between boolean and Boolean is exactly in Compilation and Runtime (a bit far going but almost as instanceof vs. getClass()).

Finally, autoboxing is slower than primitives

Note the fact that Java can do autoboxing is just a "syntactic sugar". It does not speed up anything, just allows you to write less code. That's it. Casting and wrapping into type information container is still performed. For performance reasons choose arithmetics which will always skip extra housekeeping of creating class instances with type information to implement type safety. Lack of type safety is the price you pay to gain performance. For code with boolean-valued expressions type safety (when you write less and hence implicit code) would be critical e.g. for if-then-else flow controls.

Are you using php 5.4 on your local? the render line is using the new way of initializing arrays. Try replacing ["title" => "Welcome "] with array("title" => "Welcome ")

NOTE: screen is actually not able to send hex, as far as I know. To do that, use echo or printf

I was using the suggestions in this post to write to a serial port, then using the info from another post to read from the port, with mixed results. I found that using screen is an "easier" solution, since it opens a terminal session directly with that port. (I put easier in quotes, because screen has a really weird interface, IMO, and takes some further reading to figure it out.)

You can issue this command to open a screen session, then anything you type will be sent to the port, plus the return values will be printed below it:

screen /dev/ttyS0 19200,cs8

(Change the above to fit your needs for speed, parity, stop bits, etc.) I realize screen isn't the "linux command line" as the post specifically asks for, but I think it's in the same spirit. Plus, you don't have to type echo and quotes every time.

ECHO:

Follow praetorian droid's answer. HOWEVER, this didn't work for me until I also used the cat command (cat < /dev/ttyS0) while I was sending the echo command.

PRINTF:

I found that one can also use printf's '%x' command:

I haven't tested it but apparently you can add quicktime animations to a pdf (no idea why). So the solution would be to export the animated gif to quicktime and add it to the pdf.

Here the solution that apparently works:

1. Open the GIF in Quicktime and save as MOV (Apparently it works with other formats too, you'll have to try it out).
2. Insert the MOV into the PDF (with Adobe InDesign (make sure to set Object> Interactive> film options > Embed in PDF) - It should work with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC too: see link
3. Save the PDF.

I was looking for a solution to enumerate an array of an unknown at compile time rank with an access to every element indices set. I saw solutions with yield but here is another implementation with no yield. It is in old school minimalistic way. In this example AppendArrayDebug() just prints all the elements into StringBuilder buffer.

This expression 12-4-2005 is a calculated int and the value is -1997. You should do like this instead '2005-04-12' with the ' before and after.

The problem you're going to run into is that dates are stored as timestamps in Mongo. So, to match a date you're asking it to match a timestamp. In your case I think you're trying to match a day (ie. from 00:00 to 23:59 on a specific date). If your dates are stored without times then you should be okay. Otherwise, try specifying your date as a range of time on the same day (ie. start=00:00, end=23:59) if gte doesn't work.

The lack of a Linux-like backtick/backquote facility is a major annoyance of the pre-PowerShell world. Using backquotes via for-loops is not at all cosy. So we need kinda of setvar myvar cmd-line command.

Here are my two cents on how to do the transformations for secondary axis. First, you want to couple the the ranges of the primary and secondary data. This is usually messy in terms of polluting your global environment with variables you don't want.

To make this easier, we'll make a function factory that produces two functions, wherein scales::rescale() does all the heavy lifting. Because these are closures, they are aware of the environment in which they were created, so they 'have a memory' of the to and from parameters generated before creation.

• One functions does the forward transformation: transforms the secondary data to the primary scale.
• The second function does the reverse transformation: transforms data in primary units to secondary units.

Just incase anyone wanted to do this and finds this in the future, you can use rasdial.exe from command prompt to connect to a VPN network

it will then prompt for a password, else you can use "username" "password", this is however less secure

I deleted the entire Config folder but preserved the files repositories.yml repository-cache repository-grouping.yml. after running SmartGit, it created the config folder (i think it used the config from an older build (to save things like my git credentials)), then i copied back my three files and i had all my repositories which is the most important info i needed.

I had the same error on git pull origin branchname when setting the remote origin as path fs and not ssh in .git/config:

fatal: '/path/to/repo.git' does not appear to be a git repository 
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

It was like so (this only works for users on same server of git that have access to git):

the reason I had it as a directory path was because the git files are on the same server.

There is huge difference between onChange and onTextChange prop of <TextInput />. Don't be like me and use onTextChange which returns string and don't use onChange which returns full objects.

According to Apple's session on "Implementing Dark Mode on iOS" (https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2019/214/ starting at 31:13) it is possible to set overrideUserInterfaceStyle to UIUserInterfaceStyleLight or UIUserInterfaceStyleDark on any view controller or view, which will the be used in the traitCollection for any subview or view controller.

When working with objects, you generally pass by reference rather than by value - so in some ways this operates like a pointer, but is generally completely transparent.

I'm afraid there is no "better" way to get this size, however it's not that much pain.

Of course your code should be safe for both binary/mono images as well as multi-channel ones, but the principal dimensions of the image always come first in the numpy array's shape. If you opt for readability, or don't want to bother typing this, you can wrap it up in a function, and give it a name you like, e.g. cv_size:

In our case it was due to the Recovery Model on the primary database having been changed after we did the backup in preparation for setting up log shipping.

Ensuring the Recovery Model was set to Full Recovery before doing the backup and setting up log shipping resolved it for us.

You will have to use JavaScript. The browser will only send the value of the selected option (so its not PHP's fault).

What your JS should do is hook into the form's submit event and create a hidden field with the value of the selected option's stud_name value. This hidden field will then get sent to the server.

That being said ... you shouldn't relay on the client to provide the correct data. You already know what stud_name should be for a given value on the server (since you are outputting it). So just apply the same logic when you are processing the form.

Objects which are immutable can not have their state changed after they have been created.

There are three main reasons to use immutable objects whenever you can, all of which will help to reduce the number of bugs you introduce in your code:

• It is much easier to reason about how your program works when you know that an object's state cannot be changed by another method
• Immutable objects are automatically thread safe (assuming they are published safely) so will never be the cause of those hard-to-pin-down multithreading bugs
• Immutable objects will always have the same Hash code, so they can be used as the keys in a HashMap (or similar). If the hash code of an element in a hash table was to change, the table entry would then effectively be lost, since attempts to find it in the table would end up looking in the wrong place. This is the main reason that String objects are immutable - they are frequently used as HashMap keys.

There are also some other optimisations you might be able to make in code when you know that the state of an object is immutable - caching the calculated hash, for example - but these are optimisations and therefore not nearly so interesting.

If both your client and service is installed on the same machine, and you are facing this problem with the correct (read: tried and tested elsewhere) client and service configurations, then this might be worth checking.

Check host entries in your host file

Check to see if you are accessing your web service with a hostname, and that same hostname has been associated with an IP address in the hosts file mentioned above. If yes, NTLM/Windows credentials will NOT be passed from the client to the service as any request for that hostname will be routed again at the machine level.

Try either of the following

• Remove the host entry of that hostname from the hosts file
OR
• If removing host entry is not possible, then try accessing your service with another hostname. You might also try with IP address instead of hostname

If your computer is a 64bit, all you need to do is uninstall your Java x86 version and install a 64bit version. I had the same problem and this worked. Nothing further needs to be done.

the "display/offsetHeight" hack didn't work in my case, at least when it was applied to the element being animated.

i had a dropdown menu that was being open/closed over the page content. the artifacts were being left on the page content after the menu had closed (only in webkit browsers). the only way the "display/offsetHeight" hack worked is if i applied it to the body, which seems nasty.

however, i did find another solution:

1. before the element starts animating, add a class that defines "-webkit-backface-visibility: hidden;" on the element (you could also use inline style, i'd guess)
2. when it's done animating, remove the class (or style)

this is still pretty hacky (it uses a CSS3 property to force hardware rendering), but at least it only affects the element in question, and worked for me on both safari and chrome on PC and Mac.

here is the best way:

1. create a general css file with all shared code
2. insert all specific page css code into the same page, on the tag or using the attribute style="" for each page

on this way you have only one css with all shared code and an html page. by the way (and i know that this is not the right topic) you can also encode your images in base64 (but you can also do it with your js and css files). in this way you reduce even more http requests to 1.

I'm not sure what you're doing, but this will go from JSON to CSV using JavaScript. This is using the open source JSON library, so just download JSON.js into the same folder you saved the code below into, and it will parse the static JSON value in json3 into CSV and prompt you to download/open in Excel.

Background: I am using Linux Mint 13. In my case, this error happened when I restarted the computer and my DHCP assigned a new local IP address (from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.4) to my desktop.

Newer versions of MS Office come with Spreadsheet Compare, which performs a fairly nice diff in a GUI. It detects most kinds of changes.

If you put this in a file, open in it a web browser, the javascript will execute and and the "data" attribute + value will be added to the object element.

Note: If you simply look at the HTML source, you wil NOT see the attribute. This is because the browser is showing you the static source sent by the webserver, NOT the dynamically rendered DOM. To inspect the DOM, use a tool like Firebug. This will show you what DOM the browser has rendered, and you will be able to see the added attribute.

Using Firefox + Firebug or Google Chrome, you can right click on a part of a page and do "Inspect Element". This will bring up a view of the rendered DOM.

If it is because of the overhead in terms of creating objects, then it probably can't be sped up at all with SA.

If it is because it is loading up related objects, then you might be able to do something with lazy loading. Are there lots of objects being created due to references? (IE, getting a Company object also gets all of the related People objects).

It's always pass by value, but for objects the value of the variable is a reference. Because of this, when you pass an object and change its members, those changes persist outside of the function. This makes it look like pass by reference. But if you actually change the value of the object variable you will see that the change does not persist, proving it's really pass by value.

This question is about whether an element exists and all answers check if it doesn't exist :) Minor difference but worth mentioning.

Based on jQuery documentation the recommended way to check for existence is

I usually face this issue on Android 5.0+ version devices. Since it has multi-user profiles accounts on the same devices. Every app will install as a separate instance for all users. Make sure to uninstall for all the users as below screenshot.

Just use os.listdir and os.path.isfile instead of os.walk.

math.sqrt is the C implementation of square root and is therefore different from using the ** operator which implements Python's built-in pow function. Thus, using math.sqrt actually gives a different answer than using the ** operator and there is indeed a computational reason to prefer numpy or math module implementation over the built-in. Specifically the sqrt functions are probably implemented in the most efficient way possible whereas ** operates over a large number of bases and exponents and is probably unoptimized for the specific case of square root. On the other hand, the built-in pow function handles a few extra cases like "complex numbers, unbounded integer powers, and modular exponentiation".

In terms of which is more "Pythonic", I think we need to discuss the very definition of that word. From the official Python glossary, it states that a piece of code or idea is Pythonic if it "closely follows the most common idioms of the Python language, rather than implementing code using concepts common to other languages." In every single other language I can think of, there is some math module with basic square root functions. However there are languages that lack a power operator like ** e.g. C++. So ** is probably more Pythonic, but whether or not it's objectively better depends on the use case.

The export default {...} construction is just a shortcut for something like this:

We had a similar problem with BIRT reports in that we wanted to report on those days that had no data. Since there were no entries for those dates, the easiest solution for us was to create a simple table that stored all dates and use that to get ranges or join to get zero values for that date.

We have a job that runs every month to ensure that the table is populated 5 years out into the future. The table is created thus:

No doubt there are magical tricky ways to do this with different DBMS' but we always opt for the simplest solution. The storage requirements for the table are minimal and it makes the queries so much simpler and portable. This sort of solution is almost always better from a performance point-of-view since it doesn't require per-row calculations on the data.

The other option (and we've used this before) is to ensure there's an entry in the table for every date. We swept the table periodically and added zero entries for dates and/or times that didn't exist. This may not be an option in your case, it depends on the data stored.

If you really think it's a hassle to keep the all_dates table populated, a stored procedure is the way to go which will return a dataset containing those dates. This will almost certainly be slower since you have to calculate the range every time it's called rather than just pulling pre-calculated data from a table.

But, to be honest, you could populate the table out for 1000 years without any serious data storage problems - 365,000 16-byte (for example) dates plus an index duplicating the date plus 20% overhead for safety, I'd roughly estimate at about 14M [365,000 * 16 * 2 * 1.2 = 14,016,000 bytes]), a minuscule table in the scheme of things.

Using the Excel Text import wizard to import it if it is a text file, like a CSV file, is another option and can be done based on which row number to which row numbers you specify. See: This link

There's actually no direct way to get path to webdir in Symfony2 as the framework is completely independent of the webdir.

You can use getRootDir() on instance of kernel class, just as you write. If you consider renaming /web dir in future, you should make it configurable. For example AsseticBundle has such an option in its DI configuration (see here and here).

You might want to have all three options: --upgrade and --force-reinstall ensures reinstallation, while --no-deps avoids reinstalling dependencies.

Since C++11, you may want to use either snake_case or camelCase for function names.

This is because to make a class work as the range-expression in a range-based for-loop, you have to define functions called begin and end (case-sensitive) for that class.

With the information provided, I'd model the database to have the following:

POLICIES

• POLICY_ID (primary key)

LIABILITIES

• POLICY_ID (foreign key)

...and so on, because I'd expect there to be different attributes associated with each section of the policy. Otherwise, there could be a single SECTIONS table and in addition to the policy_id, there'd be a section_type_code...

Either way, this would allow you to support optional sections per policy...

I don't understand what you find unsatisfactory about this approach - this is how you store data while maintaining referential integrity and not duplicating data. The term is "normalized"...

Moving on to the best practices of OOPS, @MrTrick's answer must be marked as correct, although my answer provides a hacked solution its not the best method.

Simply iterate its using {}

Example:

$videos{0}->id

This way your object is not destroyed and you can easily iterate through object.

For PHP 5.6 and below use this

$videos{0}['id']

Both array() and the stdClass objects can be accessed using the current() key() next() prev() reset() end() functions.

So, if your object looks like

object(stdClass)#19 (3) {
  [0]=>
  object(stdClass)#20 (22) {
    ["id"]=>
    string(1) "123"
  etc...

Then you can just do;

$id = reset($obj)->id; //Gets the 'id' attr of the first entry in the object

If you need the key for some reason, you can do;
