Maybe I'm missing something, but why try to parse the file? Why not just load the YAML and examine the object(s) that result?

We've hit a problem using it where the EF generates code that uses the CROSS and OUTER APPLY operators. This link shows that MS knows its a problem with SQL Server previous to 2005 however, they forget to mention that these operators are not supported by Oracle either.

I think the problem you're running into is that, even though you can set your own umask values in the system, this does not allow you to explicitly control the default permissions set on a new file by gedit (or whatever editor you use).

I believe this detail is hard-coded into gedit and most other editors. Your options for changing it are (a) hacking up your own mod of gedit or (b) finding a text editor that allows you to set a preference for default permissions on new files. (Sorry, I know of none.)

In light of this, it's really not so bad to have to chmod your files, right?

I can't give you graphics, but maybe I can give a clear explanation.

Suppose we have an information channel, such as a light that flashes once every day either red or green. How much information does it convey? The first guess might be one bit per day. But what if we add blue, so that the sender has three options? We would like to have a measure of information that can handle things other than powers of two, but still be additive (the way that multiplying the number of possible messages by two adds one bit). We could do this by taking log₂(number of possible messages), but it turns out there's a more general way.

Suppose we're back to red/green, but the red bulb has burned out (this is common knowledge) so that the lamp must always flash green. The channel is now useless, we know what the next flash will be so the flashes convey no information, no news. Now we repair the bulb but impose a rule that the red bulb may not flash twice in a row. When the lamp flashes red, we know what the next flash will be. If you try to send a bit stream by this channel, you'll find that you must encode it with more flashes than you have bits (50% more, in fact). And if you want to describe a sequence of flashes, you can do so with fewer bits. The same applies if each flash is independent (context-free), but green flashes are more common than red: the more skewed the probability the fewer bits you need to describe the sequence, and the less information it contains, all the way to the all-green, bulb-burnt-out limit.

It turns out there's a way to measure the amount of information in a signal, based on the the probabilities of the different symbols. If the probability of receiving symbol x_i is p_i, then consider the quantity

The smaller p_i, the larger this value. If x_i becomes twice as unlikely, this value increases by a fixed amount (log(2)). This should remind you of adding one bit to a message.

If we don't know what the symbol will be (but we know the probabilities) then we can calculate the average of this value, how much we will get, by summing over the different possibilities:

This is the information content in one flash.

Red bulb burnt out: pred = 0, pgreen=1, I = -(0 + 0)  = 0
Red and green equiprobable: pred = 1/2, pgreen = 1/2, I = -(2 * 1/2 * log(1/2)) = log(2)
Three colors, equiprobable: pi=1/3, I = -(3 * 1/3 * log(1/3)) = log(3)

This is the information content, or entropy, of the message. It is maximal when the different symbols are equiprobable. If you're a physicist you use the natural log, if you're a computer scientist you use log₂ and get bits.

If you specify the ON NULL clause, then Oracle Database assigns the DEFAULT column value when a subsequent INSERT statement attempts to assign a value that evaluates to NULL.

When you specify ON NULL, the NOT NULL constraint and NOT DEFERRABLE constraint state are implicitly specified. If you specify an inline constraint that conflicts with NOT NULL and NOT DEFERRABLE, then an error is raised.

The trouble with using dates as x-values, is that if you want a bar chart like in your second picture, they are going to be wrong. You should either use a stacked bar chart (colours on top of each other) or group by date (a "fake" date on the x-axis, basically just grouping the data points).

Rather than giving q="search_string" give it q="hashtag" in URL encoded form to return results with HASHTAG ONLY. So your query would become:

Solution (paraphrased from the Security Advisory)

It's possible to restore the previous behaviour by setting the system property hudson.model.ParametersAction.keepUndefinedParameters to true. This is potentially very unsafe and intended as a short-term workaround only.

To print all elements on the driver, one can use the collect() method to first bring the RDD to the driver node thus: rdd.collect().foreach(println). This can cause the driver to run out of memory, though, because collect() fetches the entire RDD to a single machine; if you only need to print a few elements of the RDD, a safer approach is to use the take(): rdd.take(100).foreach(println).

You separate the values you want to return by commas:

The commas indicate it's a tuple, so you could wrap your values by parentheses:

If you have the capability to do so, I would recommend using either mod-jk or mod-proxy-ajp to pass requests from Apache to JBoss. The AJP protocol is much more efficient compared to using HTTP proxy requests and as a benefit, JBoss will see the request as coming from the original client and not Apache.

When your mailSettings are set on Web.config, you don't need to do anything other than new up your SmtpClient and .Send. It finds the connection itself without needing to be referenced. You would change your C# from this:

In other words, you won't see your throughput cut in half, or anything like it, when you add TLS. Answers to the "duplicate" question focus heavily on application performance, and how that compares to SSL overhead. This question specifically excludes application processing, and seeks to compare non-SSL to SSL only. The main overhead of SSL is the handshake. That's where the expensive asymmetric cryptography happens. After negotiation, relatively efficient symmetric ciphers are used. You repository is bare, i.e. it does not have a working tree attached to it. The short answer is yes, as long as it is a public IP address.

Issuance of certificates to reserved IP addresses is not allowed, and all certificates previously issued to reserved IP addresses were revoked as of 1 October 2016.

According to the CA Browser forum, there may be compatibility issues with certificates for IP addresses unless the IP address is in both the commonName and subjectAltName fields. This is due to legacy SSL implementations which are not aligned with RFC 5280, notably, Windows OS prior to Windows 10.

I got the "No signing certificate" error when running Xcode 11.3 on macOS 10.14.x Mojave. (but after Xcode 12 was released.)

I was also using Fastlane. My fix was to set generate_apple_certs to false when running Match. This seemed to generate signing certificates that were backwards-compatible with Xcode 11.3

It seems, in some cases, we have to set manually the max width we want for the inputs.

Anyway, your example works. Just check it with a large screen, so you can see the name and email fields are getting the 2/12 of the with (col-lg-1 + col-lg-1 and you have 12 columns). But if you have a smaller screen (just resize your browser), the inputs will expand until the end of the row.

In Java, a String is a reference to heap-allocated storage. Returning "ans" only returns the reference so there is no need for stack-allocated storage. In fact, there is no way in Java to allocate objects in stack storage.

I would change to this, though. You don't need "ans" at all.

If the reason for allowing if (aBooleanVariable) return; someMoreCode; is to allow flags, then the fact that if (true) return; someMoreCode; does not generate a compile time error seems like inconsistency in the policy of generating CodeNotReachable exception, since the compiler 'knows' that true is not a flag (not a variable).

Two other ways which might be interesting, but don't apply to switching off part of a method's code as well as if (true) return:

Now, instead of saying if (true) return; you might want to say assert false and add -ea OR -ea package OR -ea className to the jvm arguments. The good point is that this allows for some granularity and requires adding an extra parameter to the jvm invocation so there is no need of setting a DEBUG flag in the code, but by added argument at runtime, which is useful when the target is not the developer machine and recompiling & transferring bytecode takes time.

There is also the System.exit(0) way, but this might be an overkill, if you put it in Java in a JSP then it will terminate the server.

Apart from that Java is by-design a 'nanny' language, I would rather use something native like C/C++ for more control.

Even if variable values don't point back to the name, you have access to the list of every assigned variable and its value, so I'm astounded that only one person suggested looping through there to look for your var name.

Someone mentioned on that answer that you might have to walk the stack and check everyone's locals and globals to find foo, but if foo is assigned in the scope where you're calling this retrieve_name function, you can use inspect's current frame to get you all of those local variables.

This solution only works if "Remember password" checkbox was previously marked.

First of all taskArtifacts.bin don't exist for this version of gradle and idea.log shows asterisks for passwords. This was old days solutions that doesn't worked to me.

Where I found the clear text passwords: C:\Users\{username}\AndroidStudioProjects\{project}\app\build\intermediates\signing_config\release\out\signing-config.json

In the world of web development, the device pixel ratio (also called CSS Pixel Ratio) is what determines how a device's screen resolution is interpreted by the CSS.

A browser's CSS calculates a device's logical (or interpreted) resolution by the formula:

Why does the Device Pixel Ratio exist?

The reason that CSS pixel ratio was created is because as phones screens get higher resolutions, if every device still had a CSS pixel ratio of 1 then webpages would render too small to see.

A typical full screen desktop monitor is a roughly 24" at 1920x1080 resolution. Imagine if that monitor was shrunk down to about 5" but had the same resolution. Viewing things on the screen would be impossible because they would be so small. But manufactures are coming out with 1920x1080 resolution phone screens consistently now.

So the device pixel ratio was invented by phone makers so that they could continue to push the resolution, sharpness and quality of phone screens, without making elements on the screen too small to see or read.

Another option is to ensure the file is not open anywhere else on your machine.

I had a similar problem with a new Apache web directory (account created with WHM) that I planned to use as a staging web server. I needed to initially clone my new project with the code base there and periodically deploy changes by pulling from repository.

The problem was that the account already contained web server files like:

.bash_history
.bash_logout
.bash_profile
.bashrc
.contactemail
.cpanel/
...

...that I did not want to either delete or commit to my repository. I needed them to just stay there unstaged and untracked.

What I did:

I went to my web folder (existing_folder):

cd /home/existing_folder

and then:

git init
git remote add origin PATH/TO/REPO
git pull origin master
git status

It displayed (as expected) a list of many not staged files - those that already existed initially from my cPanel web account.

Then, thanks to this article, I just added the list of those files to:

**.git/info/exclude**

This file, almost like the .gitignore file, allows you to ignore files from being staged. After this I had nothing to commit in the .git/ directory - it works like a personal .gitignore that no one else can see.

Now checking git status returns:

On branch master
nothing to commit, working tree clean

Now I can deploy changes to this web server by simply pulling from my git repository. Hope this helps some web developers to easily create a staging server.

above first. The data returned from it give only one of the duplicates, less than 1/2 of what this gives you but the count is good if that is all you want.

You can use .ndim for dimension and .shape to know the exact dimension

I got openCV installed smoothly in my mac by:

$ brew install opencv
$ brew link --overwrite --dry-run opencv // to force linking

I got it at windows 10 using:

JupyterLab ToC instructions

There are already many good answers to this question, but they often require tweaks to work properly with notebooks in JupyterLab. I wrote this answer to detail the possible ways of including a ToC in a notebook while working in and exporting from JupyterLab.

As a side panel

The jupyterlab-toc extension adds the ToC as a side panel that can number headings, collapse sections, and be used for navigation (see gif below for a demo). This extension is included by default since JupyterLab 3.0, in older version you can install it with the following command

jupyter labextension install @jupyterlab/toc

In the notebook as a cell

At the time being, this can either be done manually as in Matt Dancho's answer, or automatically via the toc2 jupyter notebook extension in the classic notebook interface.

First, install toc2 as part of the jupyter_contrib_nbextensions bundle:

conda install -c conda-forge jupyter_contrib_nbextensions

Then, launch JupyterLab, go to Help --> Launch Classic Notebook, and open the notebook in which you want to add the ToC. Click the toc2 symbol in the toolbar to bring up the floating ToC window (see the gif below if you can't find it), click the gear icon and check the box for "Add notebook ToC cell". Save the notebook and the ToC cell will be there when you open it in JupyterLab. The inserted cell is a markdown cell with html in it, it will not update automatically.

The default options of the toc2 can be configured in the "Nbextensions" tab in the classic notebook launch page. You can e.g. choose to number headings and to anchor the ToC as a side bar (which I personally think looks cleaner).

In an exported HTML file

nbconvert can be used to export notebooks to HTML following rules of how to format the exported HTML. The toc2 extension mentioned above adds an export format called html_toc, which can be used directly with nbconvert from the command line (after the toc2 extension has been installed):

Remember that shell commands can be added to notebook cells by prefacing them with an exclamation mark !, so you can stick this line in the last cell of the notebook and always have an HTML file with a ToC generated when you hit "Run all cells" (or whatever output you desire from nbconvert). This way, you could use jupyterlab-toc to navigate the notebook while you are working, and still get ToCs in the exported output without having to resort to using the classic notebook interface (for the purists among us).

Note that configuring the default toc2 options as described above, will not change the format of nbconver --to html_toc. You need to open the notebook in the classic notebook interface for the metadata to be written to the .ipynb file (nbconvert reads the metadata when exporting) Alternatively, you can add the metadata manually via the Notebook tools tab of the JupyterLab sidebar, e.g. something like:

If you prefer a GUI-driven approach, you should be able to open the classic notebook and click File --> Save as HTML (with ToC) (although note that this menu item was not available for me).

There is no way to create a file without opening it There is os.mknod("newfile.txt") (but it requires root privileges on OSX). The system call to create a file is actually open() with the O_CREAT flag. So no matter how, you'll always open the file.

So the easiest way to simply create a file without truncating it in case it exists is this:

The algorithm choice probably doesn't matter that much. I'd use AES since it's been better researched. What's much more important is choosing the right operation mode and key derivation function.

You might want to take a look at the TrueCrypt format specification for inspiration if you want fast random access. If you don't need random access than XTS isn't the optimal mode, since it has weaknesses other modes don't. And you might want to add some kind of integrity check(or message authentication code) too.

You don't need to muck about with extracting parts of the date. Just cast it to a date using to_date and the format in which its stored, then cast that date to a char in the format you want. Like this:

Details

A frequently-requested feature for YAML is the ability to insert arbitrary variable placeholders that support arbitrary cross-references and expressions that relate to the other content in the same (or transcluded) YAML file(s).

YAML supports anchors and aliases, but this feature does not support arbitrary placement of placeholders and expressions anywhere in the YAML text. They only work with YAML nodes.

It seems that you are trying to call a method with a Map parameter. So, to call with an empty person name the right approach should be

Could get you a null pointer exception. It all depends on the implementation of searchPerson() method.

To me it happened in DogController that autowired DogService that autowired DogRepository. Dog class used to have field name but I changed it to coolName, but didn't change methods in DogRepository: Dog findDogByName(String name). I change that method to Dog findDogByCoolName(String name) and now it works.

Just having final will have the intended effect.

Declaring static is making it a class variable, making it accessible using the class name <ClassName>.x

I recommend you try to suppress specific warnings by using @SuppressWarnings("squid:S2078").

For suppressing multiple warnings you can do it like this @SuppressWarnings({"squid:S2078", "squid:S2076"})

There is also the //NOSONAR comment that tells SonarQube to ignore all errors for a specific line.

Finally if you have the proper rights for the user interface you can issue a flag as a false positive directly from the interface.

The reason why I recommend suppression of specific warnings is that it's a better practice to block a specific issue instead of using //NOSONAR and risk a Sonar issue creeping in your code by accident.

As a summary, I would describe the wider impact of the repository pattern. It allows all of your code to use objects without having to know how the objects are persisted. All of the knowledge of persistence, including mapping from tables to objects, is safely contained in the repository.

Very often, you will find SQL queries scattered in the codebase and when you come to add a column to a table you have to search code files to try and find usages of a table. The impact of the change is far-reaching.

With the repository pattern, you would only need to change one object and one repository. The impact is very small.

Perhaps it would help to think about why you would use the repository pattern. Here are some reasons:

• You have a single place to make changes to your data access

• You have a single place responsible for a set of tables (usually)

• It is easy to replace a repository with a fake implementation for testing - so you don't need to have a database available to your unit tests

There are other benefits too, for example, if you were using MySQL and wanted to switch to SQL Server - but I have never actually seen this in practice!

In your case You can prefer HTML form post or AJAX. But before sending to server validate your json by yourself or use link like http://jsonlint.com/

If you have Json Object convert it into String using JSON.stringify(object), If you have JSON string send it as it is.

You have downloaded Jersey 2 (which RI of JAX-RS 2). The tutorial you're referring to uses Jersey 1. Download Jersey 1.17.1 from (here), should be sufficient for you.

Jersey 1 uses com.sun.jersey, and Jersey 2 uses org.glassfish.jersey hence the exception.

Also note that also init-param starting with com.sun.jersey won't be recognized by Jersey 2.

Make sure that the -L option appears ahead of the -l option; the order of options in linker command lines does matter, especially with static libraries. The -L option specifies a directory to be searched for libraries (static or shared). The -lname option specifies a library which is with libmine.a (static) or libmine.so (shared on most variants of Unix, but Mac OS X uses .dylib and HP-UX used to use .sl). Conventionally, a static library will be in a file libmine.a. This is convention, not mandatory, but if the name is not in the libmine.a format, you cannot use the -lmine notation to find it; you must list it explicitly on the compiler (linker) command line.

The -L./libmine option says "there is a sub-directory called libmine which can be searched to find libraries". I can see three possibilities:

1. You have such a sub-directory containing libmine.a, in which case you also need to add -lmine to the linker line (after the object files that reference the library).
2. You have a file libmine that is a static archive, in which case you simply list it as a file ./libmine with no -L in front.
3. You have a file libmine.a in the current directory that you want to pick up. You can either write ./libmine.a or -L . -lmine and both should find the library.

A faster way is to join the list, replace 8 and split the new string:

Calls 1 and 2 achieve the same thing as one another (up to a limit, explained below). Think of them as first specifying the grid layout with their first 2 numbers (2x2, 1x8, 3x4, etc), e.g:

You can see with call 1 on the LHS you can return any axis object, however with call 2 on the RHS you can only return up to index = 9 rendering subplots j), k), and l) inaccessible using this call.

I.e it illustrates this point from the documentation:

First you convert VARCHAR to DATE and then back to CHAR. I do this almost every day and never found any better way.

Okay, everyone here as a different opinion as to the tradeoffs and advantages of xrange versus range. They're mostly correct, xrange is an iterator, and range fleshes out and creates an actual list. For the majority of cases, you won't really notice a difference between the two. (You can use map with range but not with xrange, but it uses up more memory.)

What I think you rally want to hear, however, is that the preferred choice is xrange. Since range in Python 3 is an iterator, the code conversion tool 2to3 will correctly convert all uses of xrange to range, and will throw out an error or warning for uses of range. If you want to be sure to easily convert your code in the future, you'll use xrange only, and list(xrange) when you're sure that you want a list. I learned this during the CPython sprint at PyCon this year (2008) in Chicago.

I wish AngularJS had a built in confirmation dialog. Often, it is nicer to have a customized dialog than using the built in browser one.

I briefly used the twitter bootstrap until it was discontinued with version 6. I looked around for alternatives, but the ones I found were complicated. I decided to try the JQuery UI one.

On git for Windows you can also reinstall and select the Windows native certificate validation method (OpenSSL is default). This will skip the OpenSSL verification and instead use the Windows native one, which doesn't require maintaining a separate tool (OpenSSL) and certificates.

Currently it is placing that image as the background to the view and not the actual image in it.

How to fix app:mergeDebugResources in Android Studio (Resource path could not resolved / R.id is not accessible)

• Go to the project folder from file explorer.
• Delete(before delete Backup all files) .idea folder
• If there are any .gradle folder do the 2nd step to the .gradle folder too.
• If the Exception is referring any 3rd party library/jar file delete that also(keep a backup to add later)
• Open the project again from Android studio as "Open an existing android studio project"
• On right side gradle tab click "Refresh all Gradle projects".This will create the gradel project dependancies
• Now add again 3rd party libraries to the same previous folder structure

This should resolve your Gradle issue.. good luck.

Bad Choice of Format

By the way, that is a bad choice of format for a text representation of a date or date-time value. Whenever possible, stick with the standard ISO 8601 formats. ISO 8601 formats are unambiguous, understandable across human cultures, and are easy to parse by machine.

For a date-only value, the standard format is YYYY-MM-DD. Note how this format has the benefit of being chronological when sorted alphabetically.

LocalDate

The LocalDate class represents a date-only value without time-of-day and without time zone.

A time zone is crucial in determining a date. For any given moment, the date varies around the globe by zone. For example, a few minutes after midnight in Paris France is a new day while still “yesterday” in Montréal Québec.

The java.time framework is built into Java 8 and later. These classes supplant the troublesome old legacy date-time classes such as java.util.Date, Calendar, & SimpleDateFormat.

Where to obtain the java.time classes?

  • Most of the java.time functionality is back-ported to Java 6 & 7 in ThreeTen-Backport.
• Android
  • Later versions of Android (26+) bundle implementations of the java.time classes.
  • For earlier Android (<26), a process known as API desugaring brings a subset of the java.time functionality not originally built into Android.

Other answers are correct with regard to the bundled java.util.Date and java.util.Calendar classes. But those classes are notoriously troublesome. So here's some example code using the Joda-Time 2.3 library.

If you truly want a date without any time portion and no time zone, then use the LocalDate class in Joda-Time. That class provides methods of comparison including compareTo (used with Java Comparators), isBefore, isAfter, and isEqual.

Working With Spans Of Time

If you are working with spans of time, I suggest exploring in Joda-Time the classes: Duration, Interval, and Period. Methods such as overlap and contains make comparisons easy.

For text representations, look at the ISO 8601 standard’s:

  Example: P3Y6M4DT12H30M5S
  (Means “three years, six months, four days, twelve hours, thirty minutes, and five seconds”)
• interval
  Format: start/end

Joda-Time classes can work with strings in both those formats, both as input (parsing) and output (generating strings).

Joda-Time performs comparisons using the Half-Open approach where the beginning of the span is inclusive while the ending is exclusive. This approach is a wise one for handling spans of time. Search StackOverflow for more info.

There is nothing built into Android that offers this.

datetime.datetime.fromtimestamp() is correct, except you are probably having timestamp in miliseconds (like in JavaScript), but fromtimestamp() expects Unix timestamp, in seconds.

Do it like that:

EDIT: J.F. Sebastian correctly suggested to use true division by 1e3 (float 1000). The difference is significant, if you would like to get precise results, thus I changed my answer. The difference results from the default behaviour of Python 2.x, which always returns int when dividing (using / operator) int by int (this is called floor division). By replacing the divisor 1000 (being an int) with the 1e3 divisor (being representation of 1000 as float) or with float(1000) (or 1000. etc.), the division becomes true division. Python 2.x returns float when dividing int by float, float by int, float by float etc. And when there is some fractional part in the timestamp passed to fromtimestamp() method, this method's result also contains information about that fractional part (as the number of microseconds).

The answer with "round-tripping" is not exact : when you do

LocalDateTime ldt = LocalDateTime.ofInstant(instant, ZoneOffset.UTC);

if your system timezone is not UTC/GMT, you change the time !

There could be an error earlier in the CSS file that is causing your (correct) CSS to not work.
