Your code is reading a sequence of UTF8-encoded bytes, and decoding them using an 8-bit encoding.

You need to fix that code to decode the bytes as UTF8.

If you give the find command an absolute path, it will spit the results out with an absolute path. So, from the Ken directory if you were to type:

After struggling with this for hours, I've come up with a solution that feels almost the best.

Chaos' answer of converting values to hexstring doesn't work with every datatype, specifically with datetime columns.

I use PHP's PDO::quote(), but as it comes with PHP, PDO::quote() is not supported for MS SQL Server and returns FALSE. The solution for it to work was to download some Microsoft bundles:

• Microsoft Drivers 3.0 for PHP for SQL Server (SQLSRV30.EXE): Download and follow the instructions to install.
• Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Native Client: Search through the extensive page for the Native Client. Even though it's 2012, I'm using it to connect to SQL Server 2008 (installing the 2008 Native Client didn't worked). Download and install.

After that you can connect in PHP with PDO using a DSN like the following example:

sqlsrv:Server=192.168.0.25; Database=My_Database;

Using the UID and PWD parameters in the DSN didn't worked, so username and password are passed as the second and third parameters on the PDO constructor when creating the connection. Now you can use PHP's PDO::quote(). Enjoy.

The -i flag probably doesn't work for you, because you followed an example for GNU sed while macOS uses BSD sed and they have a slightly different syntax.

All the other answers tell you how to correct the syntax to work with BSD sed. The alternative is to install GNU sed on your macOS with:

brew install gsed

and then use it instead of the sed version shipped with macOS (note the g prefix), e.g:

JEP 269: Convenience Factory Methods for Collections

JEP 269 provides some convenience factory methods for Java Collections API. These immutable static factory methods are built into the List, Set, and Map interfaces in Java 9 and later.

The same error appears if you do not use the correct (numeric) format of your data in your data.frame column using mean() function. Therefore, check your data using str(data.frame&column) function to see what data type you have, and convert it to numeric format if necessary. For example, if your data is Character convert it with as.numeric(data.frame$column), or as a factor with as.numeric(as.character(data.frame$column)). The mean function does not work with types other than numeric.

You should always avoid using List<T> as a parameter. Not only because this pattern reduces the opportunities of the caller to store the data in a different kind of collection, but also the caller has to convert the data into a List first.

Converting an IEnumerable into a List costs O(n) complexity which is absolutely unneccessary. And it also creates a new object.

TL;DR you should always use a proper interface like IEnumerable or IQueryable based on what do you want to do with your collection. ;)

Executive summary: it's 64 bits, or larger.

unsigned long long is the same as unsigned long long int. Its size is platform-dependent, but guaranteed by the C standard (ISO C99) to be at least 64 bits. There was no long long in C89, but apparently even MSVC supports it, so it's quite portable.

In the current C++ standard (issued in 2003), there is no long long, though many compilers support it as an extension. The upcoming C++0x standard will support it and its size will be the same as in C, so at least 64 bits.

You can get the exact size, in bytes (8 bits on typical platforms) with the expression sizeof(unsigned long long). If you want exactly 64 bits, use uint64_t, which is defined in the header <stdint.h> along with a bunch of related types (available in C99, C++11 and some current C++ compilers).

A subclass is something that extends the functionality of your existing class. I.e.

Superclass - describes the catagory of objects:

You can double click the file and install it like any ttf. Then if you nead the individual ttf files you can go to C:\Windows\Fonts\Font Name and there you will findit. If you cant do this i suspect you have a corupt file.

I had a slightly more specialised case, a search form which had an input which had autocomplete for a person name. The Javascript code set a hidden input which from.reset() does not clear.

However I didn't want to reset all hidden inputs. There I added a class, search-value, to the hidden inputs which where to be cleared.

You are really going to want to do 2 or 3, don't disable event validation.

There are two main problems with adding items to an asp:listbox client side.

• The first is that it interferes with event validation. What came back to the server is not what it sent down.

• The second is that even if you disable event validation, when your page gets posted back the items in the listbox will be rebuilt from the viewstate, so any changes you made on the client are lost. The reason for this is that a asp.net does not expect the contents of a listbox to be modified on the client, it only expects a selection to be made, so it discards any changes you might have made.

The best option is most likely to use an update panel as has been recommended. Another option, if you really need to do this client side, is to use a plain old <select> instead of an <asp:ListBox>, and to keep your list of items in a hidden field. When the page renders on the client you can populate it from a split of your text field contents.

Then, when you are ready to post it, you repopulate the hidden field's contents from your modified <select>. Then, of course, you have to split that again on the server and do something with your items, since your select is empty now that it's back on the server.

All in all it's a pretty cumbersome solution that I would not really recommend, but if you really have to do client-side modifications of a listBox, it does work. I would really recommend you look into an updatePanel before going this route, however.

The Wingware editor from http://www.wingware.com is Python-specific with very good auto-completion for Python/Django/Zope, etc.

It has a built in Python shell to run snippets (or select and run) and support for Mercurial/Git, etc. and a built-in unittest/nose/doctest test runner. It's commercial though, but as it is written in Python, it's cross platform.

I bought it a while ago, and thought it looked dorky, but I've tried them all and keep coming back. Caveat that I am a Windows guy with no Emacs or Vim skills, so leveraging that was not an option. And the Mac version requires X Window and seems to be more glitchy.

Object.keys returns all the properties of an object, so it works nicely for returning all the values from dictionary styled objects.

You also mentioned a hashmap in your question, the above definition is for a dictionary style interface. Therefore the keys will be unique, but the values will not.

You could use it like a hashset by just assigning the same value to the key and its value.

if you wanted the keys to be unique and with potentially different values, then you just have to check if the key exists on the object before adding to it.

There is another route of failure, besides the version of Java you are running: You could be running out of Heap/RAM

If you had a once working version of SQLDeveloper, and you are starting to see the screenshot referenced in the original post, then you can try to adjust the amount of space SQLDeveloper requests when starting up.

Edit the file:

Edit the line that specifies the max ram to use: AddVMOption -Xmx, reducing the size. For example I changed my file to have the following lines, which solved the issue.

In addition to the answer, $ yarn cache clean removes all libraries from cache. If you want to remove a specific lib's cache run $ yarn cache dir to get the right yarn cache directory path for your OS, then $ cd to that directory and remove the folder with the name + version of the lib you want to cleanup.

Making local variables and method parameters final is essential if you want to pass those parameters into anonymous classes - like you instantiate an anonymous Thread and want to access those params in the body of the run() method.

Apart from that I am not sure of the performance benefits w.r.t better performance through compiler optimization. It is up to the specific compiler implementation whether it wants to optimize it at all...

There is one edge case where static has a surprising effect(at least it was to me). The C++03 Standard states in 14.6.4.2/1:

The only way to ensure that the function in our unnamed namespace will not be found in templates using ADL is to make it static.

Update for Modern C++

As of C++ '11, members of an unnamed namespace have internal linkage implicitly (3.5/4):

An unnamed namespace or a namespace declared directly or indirectly within an unnamed namespace has internal linkage.

But at the same time, 14.6.4.2/1 was updated to remove mention of linkage (this taken from C++ '14):

For a function call where the postfix-expression is a dependent name, the candidate functions are found using the usual lookup rules (3.4.1, 3.4.2) except that:

• For the part of the lookup using unqualified name lookup (3.4.1), only function declarations from the template definition context are found.

• For the part of the lookup using associated namespaces (3.4.2), only function declarations found in either the template definition context or the template instantiation context are found.

The result is that this particular difference between static and unnamed namespace members no longer exists.

The easiest way is to redirect the output of the echo by >>:

Why is gets() dangerous

The first internet worm (the Morris Internet Worm) escaped about 30 years ago (1988-11-02), and it used gets() and a buffer overflow as one of its methods of propagating from system to system. The basic problem is that the function doesn't know how big the buffer is, so it continues reading until it finds a newline or encounters EOF, and may overflow the bounds of the buffer it was given.

You should forget you ever heard that gets() existed.

The C11 standard ISO/IEC 9899:2011 eliminated gets() as a standard function, which is A Good Thing™ (it was formally marked as 'obsolescent' and 'deprecated' in ISO/IEC 9899:1999/Cor.3:2007 — Technical Corrigendum 3 for C99, and then removed in C11). Sadly, it will remain in libraries for many years (meaning 'decades') for reasons of backwards compatibility. If it were up to me, the implementation of gets() would become:

Given that your code will crash anyway, sooner or later, it is better to head the trouble off sooner rather than later. I'd be prepared to add an error message:

Modern versions of the Linux compilation system generates warnings if you link gets() — and also for some other functions that also have security problems (mktemp(), …).

Alternatives to gets()

fgets()

As everyone else said, the canonical alternative to gets() is fgets() specifying stdin as the file stream.

What no-one else yet mentioned is that gets() does not include the newline but fgets() does. So, you might need to use a wrapper around fgets() that deletes the newline:

Also, as caf points out in a comment and paxdiablo shows in his answer, with fgets() you might have data left over on a line. My wrapper code leaves that data to be read next time; you can readily modify it to gobble the rest of the line of data if you prefer:

The residual problem is how to report the three different result states — EOF or error, line read and not truncated, and partial line read but data was truncated.

This problem doesn't arise with gets() because it doesn't know where your buffer ends and merrily tramples beyond the end, wreaking havoc on your beautifully tended memory layout, often messing up the return stack (a Stack Overflow) if the buffer is allocated on the stack, or trampling over the control information if the buffer is dynamically allocated, or copying data over other precious global (or module) variables if the buffer is statically allocated. None of these is a good idea — they epitomize the phrase 'undefined behaviour`.

There is also the TR 24731-1 (Technical Report from the C Standard Committee) which provides safer alternatives to a variety of functions, including gets():

§6.5.4.1 The gets_s function

No additional characters are read after a new-line character (which is discarded) or after end-of-file. The discarded new-line character does not count towards number of characters read. A null character is written immediately after the last character read into the array.

5 If end-of-file is encountered and no characters have been read into the array, or if a read error occurs during the operation, then s[0] is set to the null character, and the other elements of s take unspecified values.

Recommended practice

6 The fgets function allows properly-written programs to safely process input lines too long to store in the result array. In general this requires that callers of fgets pay attention to the presence or absence of a new-line character in the result array. Consider using fgets (along with any needed processing based on new-line characters) instead of gets_s.

²⁵⁾ The gets_s function, unlike gets, makes it a runtime-constraint violation for a line of input to overflow the buffer to store it. Unlike fgets, gets_s maintains a one-to-one relationship between input lines and successful calls to gets_s. Programs that use gets expect such a relationship.

The Microsoft Visual Studio compilers implement an approximation to the TR 24731-1 standard, but there are differences between the signatures implemented by Microsoft and those in the TR.

The C11 standard, ISO/IEC 9899-2011, includes TR24731 in Annex K as an optional part of the library. Unfortunately, it is seldom implemented on Unix-like systems.

getline() — POSIX

POSIX 2008 also provides a safe alternative to gets() called getline(). It allocates space for the line dynamically, so you end up needing to free it. It removes the limitation on line length, therefore. It also returns the length of the data that was read, or -1 (and not EOF!), which means that null bytes in the input can be handled reliably. There is also a 'choose your own single-character delimiter' variation called getdelim(); this can be useful if you are dealing with the output from find -print0 where the ends of the file names are marked with an ASCII NUL '\0' character, for example.

What worked for me is the following (in view of the confusion in other answers):

Are these really lists (ordered, with duplicates), or are they sets (unordered, no duplicates)?

Because if it's the latter, then you can use, say, a java.util.HashSet<E> and do this in expected linear time using the convenient retainAll.

HttpClient 4.4 suffered from a bug in this area relating to validating possibly stale connections before returning to the requestor. It didn't validate whether a connection was stale, and this then results in an immediate NoHttpResponseException.

This issue was resolved in HttpClient 4.4.1. See this JIRA and the release notes

Six years on, this is still at the top for some searches. Things have changed a lot since then. Now the defacto standard is more or less to use Volley and the NetworkImageView which takes care of the heavy lifting for you.

Assuming that you already have your Apaters, Loaders and ListFragments setup properly, this official google tutorial explains how to use NetworkImageView to load the images. Images are automatically loaded in a background thread and the view updated on the UI thread. It even supports caching.

The middle letter of an odd-length word is irrelevant in determining whether the word is a palindrome. Just ignore it.

Hint: all you need is a slight tweak to the following line to make this work for all word lengths:

P.S. If you insist on handling the two cases separately, if len(word) % 2: ... would tell you that the word has an odd number of characters.

I ran into this problem as well in a Jenkins Docker container (tried jenkins:lts, jenkins, jenkins:slim and jenkins:slim-lts. I didn't want to go through all repositories and update the pom for each project, so I just added the disableClassPathURLCheck to the maven command line call:

It is correct that there is no work-around for this aside from ditching the select element, but if you only need to show more items in your select list you can simply use the size attribute:

The execution process is really confusing with recursive CTE, I found the best answer at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms186243(v=sql.105).aspx and the abstract of the CTE execution process is as below.

The semantics of the recursive execution is as follows:

1. Split the CTE expression into anchor and recursive members.
2. Run the anchor member(s) creating the first invocation or base result set (T0).
3. Run the recursive member(s) with Ti as an input and Ti+1 as an output.
4. Repeat step 3 until an empty set is returned.
5. Return the result set. This is a UNION ALL of T0 to Tn.

If you want to print the last 10 lines, use

Often our databases are really big and the take time to take dump directly from remote machine to other machine as our friends other have suggested above.

In such cases what you can do is to take the dump on remote machine using MYSQLDUMP Command

MYSQLDUMP -uuser -p --all-databases > file_name.sql

and than transfer that file from remote server to your machine using Linux SCP Command

scp user@remote_ip:~/mysql_dump_file_name.sql ./

Because you are doing integer division.

As @Noldorin says, if both operators are integers, then integer division is used.

The result 0.33333333 can't be represented as an integer, therefore only the integer part (0) is assigned to the result.

If any of the operators is a double / float, then floating point arithmetic will take place. But you'll have the same problem if you do that:

int n = 1.0 / 3.0;

I had the same issue. Changing

$.ajax(...)

to

jQuery.ajax(...)

did not work. But then I found that jQuery was included twice and removing one of them fixed the problem.

setTimeout is a kind of Thread, it holds a operation for a given time and execute.

in here the first argument should be a function type; as an example if you want to print your name after 3 seconds, your code should be something like below.

In general it is safer to work on copies than on original data frames, except when you know that you won't be needing the original anymore and want to proceed with the manipulated version. Normally, you would still have some use for the original data frame to compare with the manipulated version, etc. Therefore, most people work on copies and merge at the end.

You should use the ISO-8601 format for string representations of dates - anything else is dependent on the SQL Server language and dateformat settings.

The ISO-8601 format for a DATETIME when using only the date is: YYYYMMDD (no dashes or antyhing!)

For a DATETIME with the time portion, it's YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS (with dashes, and a T in the middle to separate date and time portions).

If you want to convert a string to a DATE for SQL Server 2008 or newer, you can use YYYY-MM-DD (with the dashes) to achieve the same result. And don't ask me why this is so inconsistent and confusing - it just is, and you'll have to work with that for now.

So in your case, you should try:

The real answer is: Because you cannot trust defer.

In concept, defer and async differ as follows:

async allows the script to be downloaded in the background without blocking. Then, the moment it finishes downloading, rendering is blocked and that script executes. Render resumes when the script has executed.

defer does the same thing, except claims to guarantee that scripts execute in the order they were specified on the page, and that they will be executed after the document has finished parsing. So, some scripts may finish downloading then sit and wait for scripts that downloaded later but appeared before them.

Unfortunately, due to what is really a standards cat fight, defer's definition varies spec to spec, and even in the most recent specs doesn't offer a useful guarantee. As answers here and this issue demonstrate, browsers implement defer differently:

• In certain situations some browsers have a bug that causes defer scripts to run out of order.
• Some browsers delay the DOMContentLoaded event until after the defer scripts have loaded, and some don't.
• Some browsers obey defer on <script> elements with inline code and without a src attribute, and some ignore it.

Fortunately the spec does at least specify that async overrides defer. So you can treat all scripts as async and get a wide swath of browser support like so:

98% of browsers in use worldwide and 99% in the US will avoid blocking with this approach.

(If you need to wait until the document has finished parsing, listen to the event DOMContentLoaded event or use jQuery's handy .ready() function. You'd want to do this anyway to fall back gracefully on browsers that don't implement defer at all.)

Your code is passing a function as an argument to find. That function takes an element argument (of type Conversation) and returns void (meaning there is no return value). TypeScript describes this as (element: Conversation) => void'

What TypeScript is saying is that the find function doesn't expect to receive a function that takes a Conversation and returns void. It expects a function that takes a Conversations, a number and a Conversation array, and that this function should return a boolean.

So bottom line is that you either need to change your code to pass in the values to find correctly, or else you need to provide an overload to the definition of find in your definition file that accepts a Conversation and returns void.

From python 3.x, the unified integer libries are even more smarter than older versions. On my (i7 Ubuntu) box I got the following,

Probably, the easiest way to achieve this is to simply add the reference to the assembly and then (manually) patch the textual representation of the reference in the corresponding Visual Studio project file (extension .csproj) such that it becomes relative.

I've done this plenty of times in VS 2005 without any problems.

Function map(), according to spec 22.1.3.15 would firstly check HasProperty then call the callback, but it turns out that:

Solution from k06a (https://github.com/k06a/ABStaticTableViewController) is better because it hides whole section including cells headers and footers, where this solution (https://github.com/peterpaulis/StaticDataTableViewController) hides everything except footer.

It would not be very useful to apply sanitizing here (although it would not break anything, either).

So, follow recommendations, but not blindly - rather understand why they are for :)

The issue, I believe, is that the Json action result is intended to take an object (your model) and create an HTTP response with content as the JSON-formatted data from your model object.

What you are passing to the controller's Json method, though, is a JSON-formatted string object, so it is "serializing" the string object to JSON, which is why the content of the HTTP response is surrounded by double-quotes (I'm assuming that is the problem).

I think you can look into using the Content action result as an alternative to the Json action result, since you essentially already have the raw content for the HTTP response available.

LinearLayout is a subclass of ViewGroup, which has a method called addView. The addView method should be what you are after.

Issue here is that Pino is incorrectly specifying his default route. Particularly his "area" definition is incorrect. "Area" is checked via DataTokens collection and should be added as such:

The distance estimate provided by iOS is based on the ratio of the beacon signal strength (rssi) over the calibrated transmitter power (txPower). The txPower is the known measured signal strength in rssi at 1 meter away. Each beacon must be calibrated with this txPower value to allow accurate distance estimates.

While the distance estimates are useful, they are not perfect, and require that you control for other variables. Be sure you read up on the complexities and limitations before misusing this.

When we were building the Android iBeacon library, we had to come up with our own independent algorithm because the iOS CoreLocation source code is not available. We measured a bunch of rssi measurements at known distances, then did a best fit curve to match our data points. The algorithm we came up with is shown below as Java code.

I was facing this issue in android studio 3.4. By turning off the Instant Run solved my issue. Don't know any explanation till now. Hope this helps someone in future.

You could use dict.fromkeys as follows:

dict.fromkeys([1, 2, 3, 4], list())

This will create a list object for each key. If you change value for any specific key it won't affect other keys (as most people would want, I presume).

You can do that just combining the script name ($0) with realpath and/or dirname. It works for Bash and Shell.

date_format requires first argument as timestamp so not the best way to convert a string. Use date_parse instead.

Also, use %c for non zero-padded month, %e for non zero-padded day of the month and %Y for four digit year.

It could be a simple jar problem. may be you are using a old mysql-connector-java-XXX-bin.jar which is not supported by your current mysql version. i used mysql-connector-java-5.1.18-bin.jar as i am using mysql 5.5 and this problem is resolved for me.

We use SubClass extends SuperClass only when the subclass wants to use some functionality (methods or instance variables) that is already declared in the SuperClass, or if I want to slightly modify the functionality of the SuperClass (Method overriding). But say, I have an Animal class(SuperClass) and a Dog class (SubClass) and there are few methods that I have defined in the Animal class eg. doEat(); , doSleep(); ... and many more.

Now, my Dog class can simply extend the Animal class, if i want my dog to use any of the methods declared in the Animal class I can invoke those methods by simply creating a Dog object. So this way I can guarantee that I have a dog that can eat and sleep and do whatever else I want the dog to do.

Now, imagine, one day some Cat lover comes into our workspace and she tries to extend the Animal class(cats also eat and sleep). She makes a Cat object and starts invoking the methods.

But, say, someone tries to make an object of the Animal class. You can tell how a cat sleeps, you can tell how a dog eats, you can tell how an elephant drinks. But it does not make any sense in making an object of the Animal class. Because it is a template and we do not want any general way of eating.

So instead, I will prefer to make an abstract class that no one can instantiate but can be used as a template for other classes.

So to conclude, Interface is nothing but an abstract class(a pure abstract class) which contains no method implementations but only the definitions(the templates). So whoever implements the interface just knows that they have the templates of doEat(); and doSleep(); but they have to define their own doEat(); and doSleep(); methods according to their need.

You extend only when you want to reuse some part of the SuperClass(but keep in mind, you can always override the methods of your SuperClass according to your need) and you implement when you want the templates and you want to define them on your own(according to your need).

I will share with you a piece of code: You try it with different sets of inputs and look at the results.

Why can't we make a unique id as below.

We can use DateTime.Now.Ticks and Guid.NewGuid().ToString() to combine together and make a unique id.

As the DateTime.Now.Ticks is added, we can find out the Date and Time in seconds at which the unique id is created.

I had the same issue using IIS.

Stable sort will always return same solution (permutation) on same input.

For instance [2,1,2] will be sorted using stable sort as permutation [2,1,3] (first is index 2, then index 1 then index 3 in sorted output) That mean that output is always shuffled same way. Other non stable, but still correct permutation is [2,3,1].

Quick sort is not stable sort and permutation differences among same elements depends on algorithm for picking pivot. Some implementations pick up at random and that can make quick sort yielding different permutations on same input using same algorithm.

Stable sort algorithm is necessary deterministic.

Here's some sample code. This worked for me.

issue is the object containg the CGPDFDocumentRef. I synchronize the part where I access the pdfDoc property because I release it and recreate it when receiving memoryWarnings. It seems that the CGPDFDocumentRef object do some internal caching that I did not find how to get rid of.

Another source of this problem occurs if you are using Geronimo with its embedded Tomcat. In this case, after many iterations of testing commons-io and commons-fileupload, the problem arises from a parent classloader handling the commons-xxx jars. This has to be prevented. The crash always occurred at:

fileItems = uploader.parseRequest(request);

Note that the List type of fileItems has changed with the current version of commons-fileupload to be specifically List<FileItem> as opposed to prior versions where it was generic List.

I added the source code for commons-fileupload and commons-io into my Eclipse project to trace the actual error and finally got some insight. First, the exception thrown is of type Throwable not the stated FileIOException nor even Exception (these will not be trapped). Second, the error message is obfuscatory in that it stated class not found because axis2 could not find commons-io. Axis2 is not used in my project at all but exists as a folder in the Geronimo repository subdirectory as part of standard installation.

Finally, I found 1 place that posed a working solution which successfully solved my problem. You must hide the jars from parent loader in the deployment plan. This was put into geronimo-web.xml with my full file shown below.

What's above are user variables, and below are system variables. The elements are combined when creating the environment for an application. System variables are shared for all users, but user variables are only for your account/profile.

If you deleted the system ones by accident, bring up the Registry Editor, then go to HKLM\ControlSet002\Control\Session Manager\Environment (assuming your current control set is not ControlSet002). Then find the Path value and copy the data into the Path value of HKLM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment. You might need to reboot the computer. (Hopefully, these backups weren't from too long ago, and they contain the info you need.)

This, surprisingly, works rather well. The only problem is that if the body is particularly long (somewhere over 2000 characters), then it just opens a new email but there's no information in it. I suspect that it'd be to do with the maximum length of the URL being exceeded.

As some guys already mentioned here the problem is with the exception swallowing in case you just call e.printStackTrace() in the catch block. It won't stop the thread execution and will continue after the try block as in normal condition.

Instead of that you need either try to recover from the exception (in case it is recoverable), or to throw RuntimeException, or to bubble the exception to the caller in order to avoid silent crashes (for example, due to improper logger configuration).

If you are standing on a different branch and want to checkout the newest version of master you can also do

It's an array formula, so you will need to enter it with the Control-Shift-Enter key combination.

Here's how the formula works.

1. MONTH($A$2:$A$6) creates an array of numeric values of the month for the dates in A2:A6, that is,
   {1, 1, 1, 2, 2}.
2. Then the comparison {1, 1, 1, 2, 2}= 1 produces the array {TRUE, TRUE, TRUE, FALSE, FALSE}, which comprises the condition for the IF statement.
3. The IF statement then returns an array of values, with {430, 96, 400.. for the values of the sum ranges where the month value equals 1 and ..0,0} where the month value does not equal 1.
4. That array {430, 96, 400, 0, 0} is then summed to get the answer you are looking for.

This is essentially equivalent to what the SUMIF and SUMIFs functions do. However, neither of those functions support the kind of calculation you tried to include in the conditional.

It's also possible to drop the IF completely. Since TRUE and FALSE can also be treated as 1 and 0, this formula--=SUM((MONTH($A$2:$A$6)=1)*$B$2:$B$6)--also works.

I tested 2 set based randomization methods against RAND() by generating 100,000,000 rows with each. To level the field the output is a float between 0-1 to mimic RAND(). Most of the code is testing infrastructure so I summarize the algorithms here:

RAND() alone is useless for set-based generation so generating the baseline for comparing randomness took over 6 hours and had to be restarted several times to finally get the right number of output rows. It also seems that the randomness leaves a lot to be desired although it's better than using checksum(newid()) to reseed each row.

In true java nature, it's pretty verbose lol. But, being a ported java library, especially considering they ported 1800'ish test cases, it also probably works superbly accurately.

Chrono manipulation is hard. That's why many other libraries are buggy in edge cases. Moment.js seems to get timezones right, but the other js libs I've seen, including timezone-js, don't seem trustworthy.

@cmaster made the best elaborated answer. In brief:

You should not rewrite branch history instead keep them in actual state for future references. While merging to master, it creates one extra commit but that is cheap. Commits does not cost.

I think you have loaded Xdebug probably twice in php.ini.

1. check the php.ini, that not have set xdebug.so for the values extension= and zend_extension=.

2. Check also /etc/php5/apache2 and /etc/php5/cli/. You should not load in each php.ini in these directories the extension xdebug.so. Only one file, php.ini should load it.

1. First of all svn status has the revision number, you can read it from there.

2. Also, each file that you store in SVN can store the revision number in itself -- add the $Rev$ keyword to your file and run propset: svn propset svn:keywords "Revision" file

3. Finally, the revision number is also in .svn/entries file, fourth line

Now each time you checkout that file, it will have the revision in itself.

TLDR:

- You can't hash a list, a set, nor a dict to put that into sets

- You can hash a tuple to put it into a set.

I am working on a project where we load multi-level menus with AJAX (we have our reasons :). Anyway, I used the live method for the hover which worked great on Chrome (IE9 did OK, but not great). • object O extends T makes the object O an instance of trait T; you can then pass O anywhere, a T is expected.
• if there is a class C, then object C is the companion object of class C; note that the companion object is not automatically an instance of C.

Most often, you need an object to hold methods and values/variables that shall be available without having to first instantiate an instance of some class. This use is closely related to static members in Java.

object as a special named instance

You can also use the object itself as some special instance of a class or trait. When you do this, your object needs to extend some trait in order to become an instance of a subclass of it.

Consider the following code:

This declaration first declares an anonymous (inaccessible) class that extends both B and C, and instantiates a single instance of this class named A.

This means A can be passed to functions expecting objects of type B or C, or B with C.

There also exist some special features of objects in Scala. I recommend to read the official documentation.

• def apply(...) enables the usual method name-less syntax of A(...)
• def unapply(...) allows to create custom pattern matching extractors
• if accompanying a class of the same name, the object assumes a special role when resolving implicit parameters

First of all, Applets are designed to be run from within the context of a browser (or applet viewer), they're not really designed to be added into other containers.

Technically, you can add a applet to a frame like any other component, but personally, I wouldn't. The applet is expecting a lot more information to be available to it in order to allow it to work fully.

Instead, I would move all of the "application" content to a separate component, like a JPanel for example and simply move this between the applet or frame as required...

ps- You can use f.setLocationRelativeTo(null) to center the window on the screen ;)

The creators of the .NET framework want you to use XML-based config files, rather than INI files. So no, there is no built-in mechanism for reading them.

There are third party solutions available, though.

• INI handlers can be obtained as NuGet packages, such as INI Parser.
• You can write your own INI handler, which is the old-school, laborious way. It gives you more control over the implementation, which you can use for bad or good. See e.g. an INI file handling class using C#, P/Invoke and Win32.

Break your problem in 2 statements: firstly, you want to select all if

(id=3 and cut_name= '?????' and cut_name='??')

is true . Secondly, you want to select all if

Under Arguments it points out that with [ the arguments i and j can be numeric, character or logical

So these work:

data[1,1]
data[1,"V1"]

As does this:

data$V1[1]

and keeping in mind a data frame is a list of vectors:

data[[1]][1]
data[["V1"]][1]

will also both work.

So that's a few things to be going on with. I suggest you type in the examples at the bottom of the help page one line at a time (yes, actually type the whole thing in one line at a time and see what they all do, you'll pick up stuff very quickly and the typing rather than copypasting is an important part of helping to commit it to memory.)
