Depending on the usecase it makes a difference whether you use javascript (element.value = x) or jQuery $(element).val(x);

When x is undefined jQuery results in an empty String whereas javascript results in "undefined" as a String.

You can use the Window object and access it everwhere. example window.defaultTitle = "my title"; then you can access window.defaultTitle without importing anything.

I use this one to validate emails often and it works like a charm. This validates that the email must have atleast one character before the @, and at least one character before the "."

1. Make sure that you have <%= csrf_meta_tag %> in your layout
2. Add a beforeSend to include the csrf-token in the ajax request to set the header. This is only required for post requests.

The code to read the csrf-token is available in the rails/jquery-ujs, so imho it is easiest to just use that, as follows:

This will most certainly solve your problem.

I think this first failed because you are ordering value which is null. If Delivery is a foreign key associated table then you should include this table first, example below:

The JSX syntax allows either to use strings or expressions ({...}) as values. You cannot mix both. Inside an expression you can, as the name suggests, use any JavaScript expression to compute the value.

For PHP, you can easily take advantage of HTML and some simple recursive code to make a pretty representation of nested arrays and objects.

This will print the array as a list of nested HTML lists. HTML and your browser will take care of indenting and making it legible.

Seems like views have own mechanics for tint management, so better will be put tint list:

I didn't immediately understand this based upon these descriptions but here is what I finally stumbled on:

1. Turn on "Show All Files" - there is an icon on the Solution Explorer toolbar
2. Using Windows Explorer (not solution explorer), move your files into the directory structure where you want them to reside
3. Click "Refresh" also on the Solution Explorer toolbar
4. The files that you've moved should be visible "ghosted" in the Solution Explorer tree structure where you've placed them
5. Right click on your ghosted files or folders and click "Include in Project". All the contents of a folder will be included

To get an array of values from multiple checked checkboxes, use jQuery map/get functions:

There is no need to know where the files are, because when you launch a bat file the working directory is the directory where it was launched (the "master folder"), so if you have this structure:

.\mydocuments\folder\mybat.bat

And the user starts the "mybat.bat", the working directory is ".\mydocuments\folder", so you only need to write the subfolder name in your script:

A key compatibility issue is support for persistent connections. I recently worked on a server that "supported" HTTP/1.1, yet failed to close the connection when a client sent an HTTP/1.0 request. When writing a server that supports HTTP/1.1, be sure it also works well with HTTP/1.0-only clients.

Actually, there are two ways to include images in email.

The first way ensures that the user will see the image, even if in some cases it’s only as an attachment to the message. This method is exactly what we call as “embedding images in email" in daily life.
Essentially, you’re attaching the image to the email. The plus side is that, in one way or another, the user is sure to get the image. While the downside is two fold. Firstly, spam filters look for large, embedded images and often give you a higher spam score for embedding images in email (Lots of spammers use images to avoid having the inappropriate content in their emails read by the spam filters.). Secondly, if you pay to send your email by weight or kilobyte, this increases the size of your message. If you’re not careful, it can even make your message too big for the parameters of the email provider.

The second way to include images (and the far more common way) is the same way that you put an image on a web page. Within the email, you provide a url that is the reference to the image’s location on your server, exactly the same way that you would on a web page. This has several benefits. Firstly, you won’t get caught for spamming or for your message “weighing” too much because of the image. Secondly, you can make changes to the images after the email has been sent if you find errors in them. On the flip side, your recipient will need to actively turn on image viewing in their email client to see your images.

TypeScript 2.1 introduced elegant way to handle this issue.

We can access all object property names during compilation phase by keyof keyword (see changelog).

Per the guide, by default the file will be created in the working directory of the process if possible, or in the system temporary directory otherwise. A specific location can be chosen by passing in the -XX:ErrorFile product flag. It says:

If the -XX:ErrorFile= file flag is not specified, the system attempts to create the file in the working directory of the process. In the event that the file cannot be created in the working directory (insufficient space, permission problem, or other issue), the file is created in the temporary directory for the operating system.

If newline='' is not specified, newlines embedded inside quoted fields will not be interpreted correctly, and on platforms that use \r\n linendings on write an extra \r will be added. It should always be safe to specify newline='', since the csv module does its own (universal) newline handling.

This error was generated for me by having an incorrectly formatted NLog.config file.

I have started using IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition version 12.1.3 and I found the setting in the following place: -

While editing the code (because mild OCD), I noticed that weather is also a list. You should probably consider something like

to make sure you are using the weatherIconUrl for the correct date instance.

For me, I had typed image with a lower case "i" instead of Image. So I did:

Parameters passed to the C program executable is nothing but an array of string(or character pointer),so memory would have been already allocated for these input parameter before your program access these parameters,so no need to allocate buffer,and that way you can avoid error handling code in your program as well(Reduce chances of segfault :)).

You can embed the assembly code in a normal C program. Here's a good introduction. Using the appropriate syntax, you can also tell GCC you want to interact with variables declared in C. The program below instructs gcc that:

You have more than one form tags with runat="server" on your template, most probably you have one in your master page, remove one on your aspx page, it is not needed if already have form in master page file which is surrounding your content place holders.

I want to point out some difficulties that arise when using the technique in the accepted answer, i.e. using a form post:

1. You can't set headers on the request. If your authentication schema involves headers, a Json-Web-Token passed in the Authorization header, you'll have to find other way to send it, for example as a query parameter.

2. You can't really tell when the request has finished. Well, you can use a cookie that gets set on response, as done by jquery.fileDownload, but it's FAR from perfect. It won't work for concurrent requests and it will break if a response never arrives.

3. If the server responds with a error, the user will be redirected to the error page.

4. You can only use the content types supported by a form. Which means you can't use JSON.

I ended up using the method of saving the file on S3 and sending a pre-signed URL to get the file.

Since GDB 7.5 you can use these native Convenience Functions:

Seems quite less problematic than having to execute a "foreign" strcmp() on the process' stack each time the breakpoint is hit. This is especially true for debugging multithreaded processes.

Note your GDB needs to be compiled with Python support, which is not an issue with current linux distros. To be sure, you can check it by running show configuration inside GDB and searching for --with-python. This little oneliner does the trick, too:

$_streq only matches the whole string, so if you want something more cunning you should use $_regex, which supports the Python regular expression syntax.

and if you want to check div has a perticular children(say <p> use:

I usually use float: left; and add overflow: auto; to solve the collapsing parent problem (as to why this works, overflow: auto will expand the parent instead of adding scrollbars if you do not give it explicit height, overflow: hidden works as well). Most of the vertical alignment needs I had are for one-line of text in menu bars, which can be solved using line-height property. If I really need to vertical align a block element, I'd set an explicit height on the parent and the vertically aligned item, position absolute, top 50%, and negative margin.

The reason I don't use display: table-cell is the way it overflows when you have more items than the site's width can handle. table-cell will force the user to scroll horizontally, while floats will wrap the overflow menu, making it still usable without the need for horizontal scrolling.

The best thing about float: left and overflow: auto is that it works all the way back to IE6 without hacks, probably even further.

When you use $('.deletelanguage').click() to register an event handler it adds the handler to only those elements which exists in the dom when the code was executed

I find using the pipe character with some top and bottom padding works well. Using a div with a border will require more CSS to vertically align it and get the horizontal spacing even with the other elements.

The procedure name should be in caps while creating procedure in database. You may use small letters for your procedure name while calling from Java class like:

Shelf is a JetBrains feature while Stash is a Git feature for same work. You can switch to different branch without commit and loss of work using either of features. My personal experience is to use Shelf.

Here's a shorter, syncronous version of this answer that can list all directories (hidden or not) in the current directory:

Seriously: The number of maximum parallel connections you should set depends on your expected tomcat usage and also on the number of cores on your server. More cores on your processor => more parallel threads that can be executed.

I solved a similar problem by placing the conversion of the integer to string out of the query. This can be achieved by putting the query into an object.

Another way that is never talked about is Create a view in MSSQL with all the data you want to present. Then use LINQ to SQL or whatever to map it. In your controller return it to the view. Done.

Let me just add to the answers above, that optimizing images, and serving responsive images helps page loading times dramatically since >90% of web traffic are images. You might want to pre-process images using JS / Node modules such as imagemin and related plug-ins, ideally during the build process with Grunt or Gulp.

Optimizing images means processing finding an ideal image type, and selecting optimal compression to achieve a balance between image quality and file size.

Serving responsive images translates into creating several sizes and formats of each image automatically and using srcset in your HTML allows you to serve optimal image set (that is, the ideal format and dimensions, thus optimal file size) for every single browser).

Image processing automation during the build process means incorporating it up once, and presenting optimized images further on, requiring minimum extra time.

I ran into the same problem as you. I wanted to make a DIV as background, why, because its easy to manipulate div through javascript. Anyways three things I did in the css for that div.

Slightly longer answer: There is an old, old workaround where you pass a string that you parse for optional arguments:

Obviously this is only occasionally useful. Generally when you want a single interface to a family of functionality.

You still find this approach in particle physics codes that are written by professional programs in c++ (like for instance ROOT). It's main advantage is that it may be extended almost indefinitely while maintaining back compatibility.

Here's my two cents.

As the other answers already state, you should use <pre> </pre> in conjuction with {@code }.

Use pre and {@code}

• Wrapping your code inside <pre> and </pre> prevents your code from collapsing onto one line;
• Wrapping your code inside {@code } prevents <, > and everything in between from disappearing. This is particularly useful when your code contains generics or lambda expressions.

Problems with annotations

Problems can arise when your code block contains an annotation. That is probably because when the @ sign appears at the beginning of the Javadoc line, it is considered a Javadoc tag like @param or @return. For example, this code could be parsed incorrectly:

Above code will disappear completely in my case.

To fix this, the line must not start with an @ sign:

Note that there are two spaces between @code and @Override, to keep things aligned with the next lines. In my case (using Apache Netbeans) it is rendered correctly.

I had similar problem when i was trying to work with coco-ssd. I think this problem is caused because of the version. I changed version of tfjs to 0.9.0 and coco-ssd version to 1.1.0 and it worked for me. (you can search for posenet versions on : https://www.jsdelivr.com/package/npm/@tensorflow-models/posenet)

Here's a rewrite of the accepted answer that ideally clarifies the advantages/risks of possible approaches:

You're trying to cherry pick fd9f578, which was a merge with two parents.

Instead of cherry-picking a merge, the simplest thing is to cherry pick the commit(s) you actually want from each branch in the merge.

Since you've already merged, it's likely all your desired commits are in your list. Cherry-pick them directly and you don't need to mess with the merge commit.

explanation

The way a cherry-pick works is by taking the diff that a changeset represents (the difference between the working tree at that point and the working tree of its parent), and applying the changeset to your current branch.

If a commit has two or more parents, as is the case with a merge, that commit also represents two or more diffs. The error occurs because of the uncertainty over which diff should apply.

alternatives

If you determine you need to include the merge vs cherry-picking the related commits, you have two options:

1. (More complicated and obscure; also discards history) you can indicate which parent should apply.

   • Use the -m option to do so. For example, git cherry-pick -m 1 fd9f578 will use the first parent listed in the merge as the base.

   • Also consider that when you cherry-pick a merge commit, it collapses all the changes made in the parent you didn't specify to -m into that one commit. You lose all their history, and glom together all their diffs. Your call.

2. (Simpler and more familiar; preserves history) you can use git merge instead of git cherry-pick.

   • As is usual with git merge, it will attempt to apply all commits that exist on the branch you are merging, and list them individually in your git log.

for your example:

There are many ways of doing this(listed by priority, specific to the OP's problem)

1. Option 1: Straight approach - Create multiple functions for each type you expect rather than having one generic function.

How token-based authentication works

In token-based authentication, the client exchanges hard credentials (such as username and password) for a piece of data called token. For each request, instead of sending the hard credentials, the client will send the token to the server to perform authentication and then authorization.

In a few words, an authentication scheme based on tokens follow these steps:

1. The client sends their credentials (username and password) to the server.
2. The server authenticates the credentials and, if they are valid, generate a token for the user.
3. The server stores the previously generated token in some storage along with the user identifier and an expiration date.
4. The server sends the generated token to the client.
5. The client sends the token to the server in each request.
6. The server, in each request, extracts the token from the incoming request. With the token, the server looks up the user details to perform authentication.
   • If the token is valid, the server accepts the request.
   • If the token is invalid, the server refuses the request.
7. Once the authentication has been performed, the server performs authorization.
8. The server can provide an endpoint to refresh tokens.

What you can do with JAX-RS 2.0 (Jersey, RESTEasy and Apache CXF)

This solution uses only the JAX-RS 2.0 API, avoiding any vendor specific solution. So, it should work with JAX-RS 2.0 implementations, such as Jersey, RESTEasy and Apache CXF.

It is worthwhile to mention that if you are using token-based authentication, you are not relying on the standard Java EE web application security mechanisms offered by the servlet container and configurable via application's web.xml descriptor. It's a custom authentication.

Authenticating a user with their username and password and issuing a token

Create a JAX-RS resource method which receives and validates the credentials (username and password) and issue a token for the user:

The name of the standard HTTP header is unfortunate because it carries authentication information, not authorization. However, it's the standard HTTP header for sending credentials to the server.

JAX-RS provides @NameBinding, a meta-annotation used to create other annotations to bind filters and interceptors to resource classes and methods. Define a @Secured annotation as following:

Securing your REST endpoints

To bind the authentication filter to resource methods or resource classes, annotate them with the @Secured annotation created above. For the methods and/or classes that are annotated, the filter will be executed. It means that such endpoints will only be reached if the request is performed with a valid token.

If some methods or classes do not need authentication, simply do not annotate them:

It's very likely that you will need to know the user who is performing the request agains your REST API. The following approaches can be used to achieve it:

Overriding the security context of the current request

Within your ContainerRequestFilter.filter(ContainerRequestContext) method, a new SecurityContext instance can be set for the current request. Then override the SecurityContext.getUserPrincipal(), returning a Principal instance:

Be sure you use the CDI @Produces annotation in your AuthenticatedUserProducer bean.

The key here is the bean annotated with @RequestScoped, allowing you to share data between filters and your beans. If you don't wan't to use events, you can modify the filter to store the authenticated user in a request scoped bean and then read it from your JAX-RS resource classes.

Compared to the approach that overrides the SecurityContext, the CDI approach allows you to get the authenticated user from beans other than JAX-RS resources and providers.

Supporting role-based authorization

Issuing tokens

A token can be:

• Opaque: Reveals no details other than the value itself (like a random string)
• Self-contained: Contains details about the token itself (like JWT).

See details below:

Random string as token

A token can be issued by generating a random string and persisting it to a database along with the user identifier and an expiration date. A good example of how to generate a random string in Java can be seen here. You also could use:

JWT (JSON Web Token)

JWT (JSON Web Token) is a standard method for representing claims securely between two parties and is defined by the RFC 7519.

It's a self-contained token and it enables you to store details in claims. These claims are stored in the token payload which is a JSON encoded as Base64. Here are some claims registered in the RFC 7519 and what they mean (read the full RFC for further details):

• iss: Principal that issued the token.
• sub: Principal that is the subject of the JWT.
• exp: Expiration date for the token.
• nbf: Time on which the token will start to be accepted for processing.
• iat: Time on which the token was issued.
• jti: Unique identifier for the token.

Be aware that you must not store sensitive data, such as passwords, in the token.

The payload can be read by the client and the integrity of the token can be easily checked by verifying its signature on the server. The signature is what prevents the token from being tampered with.

You won't need to persist JWT tokens if you don't need to track them. Althought, by persisting the tokens, you will have the possibility of invalidating and revoking the access of them. To keep the track of JWT tokens, instead of persisting the whole token on the server, you could persist the token identifier (jti claim) along with some other details such as the user you issued the token for, the expiration date, etc.

When persisting tokens, always consider removing the old ones in order to prevent your database from growing indefinitely.

Using JWT

There are a few Java libraries to issue and validate JWT tokens such as:

• jjwt
• java-jwt
• jose4j

Handling token revocation with JWT

If you want to revoke tokens, you must keep the track of them. You don't need to store the whole token on server side, store only the token identifier (that must be unique) and some metadata if you need. For the token identifier you could use UUID.

The jti claim should be used to store the token identifier on the token. When validating the token, ensure that it has not been revoked by checking the value of the jti claim against the token identifiers you have on server side.

For security purposes, revoke all the tokens for a user when they change their password.

Additional information

• It doesn't matter which type of authentication you decide to use. Always do it on the top of a HTTPS connection to prevent the man-in-the-middle attack.
• Take a look at this question from Information Security for more information about tokens.
• In this article you will find some useful information about token-based authentication.

You are using this :

mysql_fetch_array($result)

To get the error you're getting, it means that $result is not a resource.

In your code, $result is obtained this way :

$result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM student WHERE IDNO=".$_GET['id']);

If the SQL query fails, $result will not be a resource, but a boolean -- see mysql_query.

I suppose there's an error in your SQL query -- so it fails, mysql_query returns a boolean, and not a resource, and mysql_fetch_array cannot work on that.

You should check if the SQL query returns a result or not :

Also, you should escape the data you're putting in your SQL query, to avoid SQL injections !

For example, here, you should make sure that $_GET['id'] contains nothing else than an integer, using something like this :

Or you should check this before trying to execute the query, to display a nicer error message to the user.

I got

No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present

and the problem was with the URL I was providing. I was providing the URL without a route, e.g., https://misty-valley-1234.herokuapp.com/.

When I added a path it worked, e.g., https://misty-valley-1234.herokuapp.com/messages. With GET requests it worked either way but with POST responses it only worked with the added path.

Along with the gnobal's above solution, I had to set alpha to 0 in the layout file of that particular activity, because on certain phone (Redmi Narzo 20 pro running on Android 10) a dialog portion of the screen was showing with the screen that was supposed to be transparent. For some reason the windowIsFloating was causing this issue, but on removing it I wasn't getting the desired output.

Steps:

1. Add the following in the style.xml located under res > values > styles.xml

delete performs the check anyway, so checking it on your side adds overhead and looks uglier. A very good practice is setting the pointer to NULL after delete (helps avoiding double deletion and other similar memory corruption problems).

I'd also love if delete by default was setting the parameter to NULL like in

All of the answers so far ignore a dangerous problem with ===. It has been noted in passing, but not stressed, that integer and double are different types, so the following code:

gives:

 not equal

Note that this is NOT a case of a "rounding error". The two numbers are exactly equal down to the last bit, but they have different types.

This is a nasty problem because a program using === can run happily for years if all of the numbers are small enough (where "small enough" depends on the hardware and OS you are running on). However, if by chance, an integer happens to be large enough to be converted to a double, its type is changed "forever" even though a subsequent operation, or many operations, might bring it back to a small integer in value. And, it gets worse. It can spread - double-ness infection can be passed along to anything it touches, one calculation at a time.

In the real world, this is likely to be a problem in programs that handle dates beyond the year 2038, for example. At this time, UNIX timestamps (number of seconds since 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC) will require more than 32-bits, so their representation will "magically" switch to double on some systems. Therefore, if you calculate the difference between two times you might end up with a couple of seconds, but as a double, rather than the integer result that occurs in the year 2017.

I think this is much worse than conversions between strings and numbers because it is subtle. I find it easy to keep track of what is a string and what is a number, but keeping track of the number of bits in a number is beyond me.

So, in the above answers there are some nice tables, but no distinction between 1 (as an integer) and 1 (subtle double) and 1.0 (obvious double). Also, advice that you should always use === and never == is not great because === will sometimes fail where == works properly. Also, JavaScript is not equivalent in this regard because it has only one number type (internally it may have different bit-wise representations, but it does not cause problems for ===).

My advice - use neither. You need to write your own comparison function to really fix this mess.

if I set a breakpoint on the i = 34 line, it ONLY breaks when i change tabs, even when the tabs have child elements and one of them is selected.

I find that code gets messy fast when C# code is used to modify CSS values. Perhaps a better approach is for your code to dynamically set the class attribute on the div tag and then store any specific CSS settings in the style sheet.

That might not work for your situation, but its a decent default position if you need to change the style on the fly in server side code.

Git 1.8.2 added the possibility to track branches.

"git submodule" started learning a new mode to integrate with the tip of the remote branch (as opposed to integrating with the commit recorded in the superproject's gitlink).

A submodule is a single commit referenced by a parent repo.
Since it is a Git repo on its own, the "history of all commits" is accessible through a git log within that submodule.

So for a parent to track automatically the latest commit of a given branch of a submodule, it would need to:

• cd in the submodule
• git fetch/pull to make sure it has the latest commits on the right branch
• cd back in the parent repo
• add and commit in order to record the new commit of the submodule.

gitslave (that you already looked at) seems to be the best fit, including for the commit operation.

It is a little annoying to make changes to the submodule due to the requirement to check out onto the correct submodule branch, make the change, commit, and then go into the superproject and commit the commit (or at least record the new location of the submodule).

Other alternatives are detailed here.

Your CarBootSaleList class is not a list. It is a class that contain a list.

You have three options:

Make your CarBootSaleList object implement IEnumerable

or

make your CarBootSaleList inherit from List<CarBootSale>

or

if you are lazy this could almost do the same thing without extra coding

Well, since you can currently only have one ngView directive... I use nested directive controls. This allows you to set up templating and inherit (or isolate) scopes among them. Outside of that I use ng-switch or even just ng-show to choose which controls I'm displaying based on what's coming in from $routeParams.

I had the same problem in a Xamarin Forms project. iOS project was unavailable and I couldn't reload the project. I was looking for a solution that doesn't need uninstalling anything.

So without uninstalling anything, you could delete the .csproj.user file (or rename it) so Visual Studio will create the file again. Worked for me twice.

This is a bit late, but this is the best solution I found. You make a look-up dictionary for the form name and its class, you also have to add an attribute to identify the form, and in your views you have to add it as a hidden field, with the form.formlabel.

Firstly I'd like to draw your attention to the Cocoa/CF documentation (which is always a great first port of call). The Apple docs have a section at the top of each reference article called "Companion Guides", which lists guides for the topic being documented (if any exist). For example, with NSTimer, the documentation lists two companion guides:

• Timer Programming Topics for Cocoa
• Threading Programming Guide

For your situation, the Timer Programming Topics article is likely to be the most useful, whilst threading topics are related but not the most directly related to the class being documented. If you take a look at the Timer Programming Topics article, it's divided into two parts:

• Timers
• Using Timers

For articles that take this format, there is often an overview of the class and what it's used for, and then some sample code on how to use it, in this case in the "Using Timers" section. There are sections on "Creating and Scheduling a Timer", "Stopping a Timer" and "Memory Management". From the article, creating a scheduled, non-repeating timer can be done something like this:

This will create a timer that is fired after 2.0 seconds and calls targetMethod: on self with one argument, which is a pointer to the NSTimer instance.

If you then want to look in more detail at the method you can refer back to the docs for more information, but there is explanation around the code too.

If you want to stop a timer that is one which repeats, (or stop a non-repeating timer before it fires) then you need to keep a pointer to the NSTimer instance that was created; often this will need to be an instance variable so that you can refer to it in another method. You can then call invalidate on the NSTimer instance:

myTimer = nil;

It's also good practice to nil out the instance variable (for example if your method that invalidates the timer is called more than once and the instance variable hasn't been set to nil and the NSTimer instance has been deallocated, it will throw an exception).

Note also the point on Memory Management at the bottom of the article:

Because the run loop maintains the timer, from the perspective of memory management there's typically no need to keep a reference to a timer after you’ve scheduled it. Since the timer is passed as an argument when you specify its method as a selector, you can invalidate a repeating timer when appropriate within that method. In many situations, however, you also want the option of invalidating the timer—perhaps even before it starts. In this case, you do need to keep a reference to the timer, so that you can send it an invalidate message whenever appropriate. If you create an unscheduled timer (see “Unscheduled Timers”), then you must maintain a strong reference to the timer (in a reference-counted environment, you retain it) so that it is not deallocated before you use it.

Place all files need to copied in a separate folder, for ease place them in c drive.

Open Command Prompt - windows>type cmd>select command prompt.

You can see the default directory pointing - Ex : C:[Folder_Name]>. Change the directory to point to the folder which you have placed files to be copied, using ' cd [Folder_Name] ' command.

After pointing to directory - type 'dir' which shows all the files present in folder, just to make sure everything at place.

Now type : 'copy *.txt [newfile_name].txt' and press enter.

Done!

All the text in individual files will be copied to [newfile_name].txt

If you are very unlucky you have used about 100% of all inodes and can't create the scipt. You can check this with df -ih.

Then this bash command may help you:

sudo find . -xdev -type f | cut -d "/" -f 2 | sort | uniq -c | sort -n

And yes, this will take time, but you can locate the directory with the most files.

When posting an HTML checkbox to the server, it has a string value of 'on' or ''.

Readonly does not stop the user editing the checkbox, and disabled stops the value being posted back.
One way around this is to have a hidden element to store the actual value and the displayed checkbox is a dummy which is disabled. This way the checkbox state is persisted between posts.

Here is a function to do this. It uses a string of 'T' or 'F' and you can change this any way you like. This has been used in an ASP page using server side VB script.

I have tested this and it works just fine. It also does not rely upon JavaScript.

Try using the net use command in your script to map the share first, because you can provide it credentials. Then, your copy command should use those credentials.

This is a C# UIView extension method that's based on @SwiftArchitect's code. Not sure why you are not wrapping financial transactions in database transactions (as when you transfer funds from one account to another - you don't commit one side of the transaction at-a-time - this is why explicit transactions exist). Even if your code is braindead to business transactions as it sounds like it is, all transactional databases have the potential to do implicit rollbacks in the event of errors or failure. I think this discussion is way over your head.

If you are having locking problems, implement versioning and clean up your code.

No lock not only returns wrong values it returns phantom records and duplicates.

It is a common misconception that it always makes queries run faster. If there are no write locks on a table, it does not make any difference. If there are locks on the table, it may make the query faster, but there is a reason locks were invented in the first place.

In fairness, here are two special scenarios where a nolock hint may provide utility

1) Pre-2005 sql server database that needs to run long query against live OLTP database this may be the only way

2) Poorly written application that locks records and returns control to the UI and readers are indefinitely blocked. Nolock can be helpful here if application cannot be fixed (third party etc) and database is either pre-2005 or versioning cannot be turned on.

Right now you seem to be saying 'does this array of strings equal this string', which of course it never would.

Perhaps you should think about iterating through your array of strings with a loop, and checking each to see if they are equals() with the inputted string?

...or do I misunderstand your question?

As you say, local variables and references are stored on the stack. When a method returns, the stack pointer is simply moved back to where it was before the method started, that is, all local data is "removed from the stack". Therefore, there is no garbage collection needed on the stack, that only happens in the heap.

To answer your specific questions:

• You can limit the stack growth by:
  • grouping many local variables in an object: that object will be stored in the heap and only the reference is stored on the stack
  • limit the number of nested function calls (typically by not using recursion)

Globals in Python are global to a module, not across all modules. (Many people are confused by this, because in, say, C, a global is the same across all implementation files unless you explicitly make it static.)

There are different ways to solve this, depending on your actual use case.

Before even going down this path, ask yourself whether this really needs to be global. Maybe you really want a class, with f as an instance method, rather than just a free function? Then you could do something like this:

I've created a small plugin (available on NuGet) that allows you to add any (if supported by your terminal) color to your console output, without the limitations of the classic solutions.

It works by extending the String object and the syntax is very simple:

You make the mistake of returning a pointer to an automatic variable. The variable line is allocated in the stack and only lives as long as the function lives. You are not allowed to return a pointer to it, because as soon as it returns the memory will be given elsewhere.

I appreciate this question and all the info with it. I have something in mind that's kind of a question and an answer when it comes to String.Index.

I'm trying to see if there is an O(1) way to access a Substring (or Character) inside a String because string.index(startIndex, offsetBy: 1) is O(n) speed if you look at the definition of index function. Of course we can do something like:

then access any position in the characterArray however SPACE complexity of this is n = length of string, O(n) so it's kind of a waste of space.

I was looking at Swift.String documentation in Xcode and there is a frozen public struct called Index. We can initialize is as:

What you can do is check whether you props is defined initially or not by checking if nextProps.blog.content is undefined or not since your body is nested inside it like

You need not use type to check for undefined, just the strict operator !== which compares the value by their type as well as value

In order to check for undefined, you can also use the typeof operator like

typeof nextProps.blog.content != "undefined"

Quotes!

if [ "$1" != -v ]; then

Otherwise, when $1 is completely empty, your test becomes:

[ != -v ]

instead of

[ "" != -v ]

...and != is not a unary operator (that is, one capable of taking only a single argument).

In my situation I had moved the htdocs to a new location updated in httpd.conf, which worked fine. I then received the same error after updating the httpd-vhost.conf file.

I found that the error was caused by a typo in the vhost configuration file. Previously I changed all "DocumentRoot" ’s to the new htdocs location, but had forgot to update the new location for "ErrorLog". After correcting the missing path, Apache was running smooth again.

How to remove Node.js from Windows:

1. Take a deep breath.

2. Run npm cache clean --force

3. Uninstall from Programs & Features with the uninstaller.

4. Reboot (or you probably can get away with killing all node-related processes from Task Manager).

5. Look for these folders and remove them (and their contents) if any still exist. Depending on the version you installed, UAC settings, and CPU architecture, these may or may not exist:

   • C:\Program Files (x86)\Nodejs
   • C:\Program Files\Nodejs
   • C:\Users\{User}\AppData\Roaming\npm (or %appdata%\npm)
   • C:\Users\{User}\AppData\Roaming\npm-cache (or %appdata%\npm-cache)
   • C:\Users\{User}\.npmrc (and possibly check for that without the . prefix too)
   • C:\Users\{User}\AppData\Local\Temp\npm-*

6. Check your %PATH% environment variable to ensure no references to Nodejs or npm exist.

7. If it's still not uninstalled, type where node at the command prompt and you'll see where it resides -- delete that (and probably the parent directory) too.

8. Reboot, for good measure.

Obviously, this removes both '\n' and '\r' and is as simple as I know how to do it.

You can enter the following formula in the cell where you want to see the Overdue or Not due result:

This formula first tests if the source cell is blank. If it is, then the result cell will be filled with the empty string. Static import is used to import static fields / method of a class instead of:

You can write :

It is useful if you are often used a constant from another class in your code and if the static import is not ambiguous.

Btw, in your example "import static org.example.Myclass;" won't work : import is for class, import static is for static members of a class.

I will just add a blank ("") to the end of the variable and do the comparison. Something like below should work even when that variable is null. You can also trim the variable just in case of spaces.

which is nice if you want to insert multiple items at once.

There's a way you can get this problem without having mixed newline problems (at least, in my shell, which is GNU bash v4.3.30):

This is because bash expands backticks inside double-quoted strings (see the bash manual on quoting and command substitution), and before finding a matching backtick, will interpret any additional double quotes as part of the command substitution:

Command substitution happens inside double-quoted strings: foo.sh
$ echo "..even with double quotes: `grep -E "^foo|wrong" foo.sh`"
..even with double quotes: foo "What could possibly go wrong?"

You can get around this by escaping the backticks in your string with a backslash, or by using a single-quoted string.

I'm not really sure why this only gives the one error message, but I think it has to do with the function definition:

Just to clearify, in /etc/nginx/nginx.conf, you can put at the beginning of the file the line

error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log debug;

And then restart nginx:

sudo service nginx restart

That way you can detail what nginx is doing and why it is returning the status code 400.

As help to anybody that had the same problem as me, I accidentally mistyped the implementation type instead of the interface e.g.

I had the same problem and I solved it as follows:

1. check the node-sass version used in the current project

2. go to node-sass release: "https://github.com/sass/node-sass/releases/tag/v@.@.@" (put your node-sass version here)

3. check the Supported Environment table and see if your Node version exist in it

4. if it is not, downgrade your node version to the latest version existing in the table

I know it's not the perfect solution but I didn't find anything else in my case.

but on the other hand it creates a completely useless list of integers just to loop over them. Isn't it a waste of memory, especially as far as big numbers of iterations are concerned?

That is what xrange(n) is for. It avoids creating a list of numbers, and instead just provides an iterator object.

In Python 3, xrange() was renamed to range() - if you want a list, you have to specifically request it via list(range(n)).
