It was due to IE Document-mode version too low. Press 'F12' and using higher version( My case, above version 9 is OK)

I had a similar issue, no videos would play in Chrome. Tried installing beta 64bit, going back to Chrome 32bit release.

The only thing that worked for me was updating my video drivers.

I have the NVIDIA GTS 240. Downloaded, installed the drivers and restarted and Chrome 38.0.2125.77 beta-m (64-bit) starting playing HTML5 videos again on youtube, vimeo and others. Hope this helps anyone else.

fenomas's answer was really good...it got me off of looking into the HTML code. I know that jb was looking for something that works in Captivate, but the question is broad enough to include people working out of Flash (I'm using CS5), so I thought I'd throw in the specific answer to my situation here.

If you're using the stock Adobe FLVPlayback component in Flash (you probably are if you used File > Import > Import Video...), there's an option in the Properties panel, under Component Parameters. Look for 'autoPlay' and uncheck it. That'll stop autoplay when the page loads!

You should declare your method first in void initState(), so when the first time pages has been loaded, it will init your method first, hope it can help

First you have to ensure that there is a SMTP server listening on port 25.

To look whether you have the service, you can try using TELNET client, such as:

C:\> telnet localhost 25

(telnet client by default is disabled on most recent versions of Windows, you have to add/enable the Windows component from Control Panel. In Linux/UNIX usually telnet client is there by default.

If it waits for long then time out, that means you don't have the required SMTP service. If successfully connected you enter something and able to type something, the service is there.

If you don't have the service, you can use these:

• A mock SMTP server that will mimic the behavior of actual SMTP server, as you are using Java, it is natural to suggest Dumbster fake SMTP server. This even can be made to work within JUnit tests (with setup/tear down/validation), or independently run as separate process for integration test.
• If your host is Windows, you can try installing Mercury email server (also comes with WAMPP package from Apache Friends) on your local before running above code.
• If your host is Linux or UNIX, try to enable the mail service such as Postfix,
• Another full blown SMTP server in Java, such as Apache James mail server.

If you are sure that you already have the service, may be the SMTP requires additional security credentials. If you can tell me what SMTP server listening on port 25 I may be able to tell you more.

I believe, this arrow exists because of your IDE. IntelliJ IDEA does such thing with some code. This is called code folding. You can click at the arrow to expand it.

IE9 currently lacks CSS3 gradient support. However, here is a nice workaround solution using PHP to return an SVG (vertical linear) gradient instead, which allows us to keep our design in our stylesheets.

It is greatly frustrating that CakePHP does not have a $this->Model->lastQuery();. Here are two solutions including a modified version of Handsofaten's:

1. Create a Last Query Function

To print the last query run, in your /app_model.php file add:

It's a lot more simple that you think. You've signed into both your mobile and Chrome on your desktop using the same Google account. Google simply expect you will have your mobile with you most of the time. They take the location data from your phone and assume the location of your current desktop session is the same.

I proved this by RDPing into my Windows machine at home from work and checking Google maps remotely. It show my location as the same as Chrome on Linux at work.

If you don't have a mobile that is signed into Google then all they can do is lookup GeoIP data for the IP address assigned by your ISP. It will typically be wildly inaccurate.

Here are some explanations why build_active_architecture is set to NO. Xcode now detects which devices you have connected and will set the active architecture accordingly. So if you plug a 2nd generation iPod Touch into your computer, Xcode should set the active architecture to armv6. It isn't that hard to deal with the character array itself without converting the array to a string. Especially in the case where the length of the character array is know or can be easily found. With the character array, the length must be determined in the same scope as the array definition, e.g.:

Above is simply the standard char to int conversion approach with a few additional conditionals included. To handle stray characters, in addition to the digits and '-', the only trick is making smart choices about when to start collecting digits and when to stop.

If you start collecting digits for conversion when you encounter the first digit, then the conversion ends when you encounter the first '-' or non-digit. This makes the conversion much more convenient when interested in indexes such as (e.g. file_0127.txt).

I would suggest to link the file instead of copy it. It is save to update. I linked the file to /usr/lib/python3/ directory.

Learn to use a javascript debugger. Venkman (for Firefox) or the Web Inspector (part of Chome & Safari) are excellent tools for debugging what's going on.

You can set breakpoints and interrogate the state of the machine as you're interacting with your script; step through parts of your code to make sure everything is working as planned, etc.

You can't have a dict with duplicate keys for definition! Instead you can use a single key and, as value, a list of elements that had that key.

So you can follow these steps:

I had this problem with only with redirectMode="ResponseRewrite" (redirectMode="ResponseRedirect" worked fine) and none of the above solutions helped my resolve the issue. The apparent contradictions that appear in the question are caused because in one case the Equals function is called on a string object, and in the other case the == operator is called on the System.Object type. string and object implement equality differently from each other (value vs. reference respectively).

Beyond this fact, any type can define == and Equals differently, so in general they are not interchangeable.

I know this question is very old, but I would like to add a few points, strangely omitted:

1. you can right-click the query in the container, and click properties, and fill that with your description. The text you input that way is also accessible in design view, in the Descrption property
2. Each field can be documented as well. Just make sure the properties window is open, then click the query field you want to document, and fill the Description (just above the too little known Format property)

It's a bit sad that no product (I know of) documents these query fields descriptions and expressions.

There are several possible solutions:

Create an empty file

The echo version will work only if your version of echo supports the -n switch to suppress newlines. This is a non-standard addition. The other examples will all work in a POSIX shell.

Create a file containing a newline and nothing else

printf '\n' > file

This is a valid "text file" because it ends in a newline.

Write text into a file

"$EDITOR" file

These are equivalent. The $EDITOR command assumes that you have an interactive text editor defined in the EDITOR environment variable and that you interactively enter equivalent text. The cat version presumes a literal newline after the \ and after each other line. Other than that these will all work in a POSIX shell.

Of course there are many other methods of writing and creating files, too.

Run this command line on your preferred shell session:

To answer to your second question. You can just hit the IP address of the machine that your flask app is running, e.g. 192.168.1.100 in a browser on different machine on the same network and you are there. Though, you will not be able to access it if you are on a different network. Firewalls or VLans can cause you problems with reaching your application. If that computer has a public IP, then you can hit that IP from anywhere on the planet and you will be able to reach the app. Usually this might impose some configuration, since most of the public servers are behind some sort of router or firewall.

If you will be processing all pages in order then simply remembering the last key value seen on the previous page and using TOP (25) ... WHERE Key > @last_key ORDER BY Key can be the best performing method if suitable indexes exist to allow this to be seeked efficiently - or an API cursor if they don't.

For selecting an arbitary page the best solution for SQL Server 2005 - 2008 R2 is probably ROW_NUMBER and BETWEEN

For SQL Server 2012+ you can use the enhanced ORDER BY clause for this need.

EDIT Since not so recently by now, MinGW-w64 has "absorbed" one of the toolchain building projects. The downloads can be found here. The installer should work, and allow you to pick a version that you need.

Note the Qt SDK comes with the same toolchain. So if you are developing in Qt and using the SDK, just use the toolchain it comes with.

Another alternative that has up to date toolchains comes from... harhar... a Microsoft developer, none other than STL (Stephan T. Lavavej, isn't that a spot-on name for the maintainer of MSVC++ Standard Library!). You can find it here. It includes Boost.

Another option which is highly useful if you care for prebuilt dependencies is MSYS2, which provides a Unix shell (a Cygwin fork modified to work better with Windows pathnames and such), also provides a GCC. It usually lags a bit behind, but that is compensated for by its good package management system and stability. They also provide a functional Clang with libc++ if you care for such thing.

I leave the below for reference, but I strongly suggest against using MinGW.org, due to limitations detailed below. TDM-GCC (the MinGW-w64 version) provides some hacks that you may find useful in your specific situation, although I recommend using vanilla GCC at all times for maximum compatibility.

GCC for Windows is provided by two projects currently. They both provide a very own implementation of the Windows SDK (headers and libraries) which is necessary because GCC does not work with Visual Studio files.

1. The older mingw.org, which @Mat already pointed you to. They provide only a 32-bit compiler. See here for the downloads you need:

   • Binutils is the linker and resource compiler etc.
   • GCC is the compiler, and is split in core and language packages
   • GDB is the debugger.
   • runtime library is required only for mingw.org
   • You might need to download mingw32-make seperately.
   • For support, you can try (don't expect friendly replies) [email protected]

   Alternatively, download mingw-get and use that.

2. The newer mingw-w64, which as the name predicts, also provides a 64-bit variant, and in the future hopefully some ARM support. I use it and built toolchains with their CRT. Personal and auto builds are found under "Toolchains targetting Win32/64" here. They also provide Linux to Windows cross-compilers. I suggest you try a personal build first, they are more complete. Try mine (rubenvb) for GCC 4.6 to 4.8, or use sezero's for GCC 4.4 and 4.5. Both of us provide 32-bit and 64-bit native toolchains. These packages include everything listed above. I currently recommend the "MinGW-Builds" builds, as these are currently sanctioned as "official builds", and come with an installer (see above).

Both projects have their files listed on sourceforge, and all you have to do is either run the installer (in case of mingw.org) or download a suitable zipped package and extract it (in the case of mingw-w64).

There are a lot of "non-official" toolchain builders, one of the most popular is TDM-GCC. They may use patches that break binary compatibility with official/unpatched toolchains, so be careful using them. It's best to use the official releases.

While it is true that exporting an excel file that contains special characters to csv can be a pain in the ass, there is however a simple work around: simply copy/paste the cells into a google docs and then save from there.

"Assuming we're talking about NTFS and not FAT32, the "255 characters for path+file" is a limitation of Explorer, not the filesystem itself. NTFS supports paths up to 32,000 Unicode characters long, with each component up to 255 characters.

Explorer -and the Windows API- limits you to 260 characters for the path, which include drive letter, colon, separating slashes and a terminating null character. It's possible to read a longer path in Windows if you start it with a \\"

All answers suggest that ViewBag and/or ViewData is to pass data from Controller to Views which is misinformation. both are very useful to pass data from Views to Layout or Partial to Views (or ViewComponents, etc) It's not controller exclusive.

as the default asp.net sample have this in the layout page:

The most notable difference is ViewData is a Strongly Typed Dictionary while ViewBag is a dynamic type.

When to use one or another?

• ViewBag doesn't support not valid C# names. you can't access ViewData["Key With Space"] with ViewBag
• ViewBag.Something is dynamic and you may have problems when calling methods (like extension methods) that needs to know the exact parameter at compile time.
• ViewBag can check for nulls syntactical cleaner: ViewBag.Person?.Name
• ViewData have all the properties of a Dictionary like ContainsKey, Add, etc. so you can use ViewData.Add("somekey", "somevalue") keep in mind it might throw exceptions.
• Using ViewData on views needs TypeCasting while ViewBag don't.

Knowing the subtle differences, using one or another is much more a taste preference.

Normally you can think of ViewBag.AnyKey to an alias of ViewData["AnyKey"]

A @ViewScoped bean lives exactly as long as a JSF view. It usually starts with a fresh new GET request, or with a navigation action, and will then live as long as the enduser submits any POST form in the view to an action method which returns null or void (and thus navigates back to the same view). Once you refresh the page, or return a non-null string (even an empty string!) navigation outcome, then the view scope will end.

A @RequestScoped bean lives exactly as long a HTTP request. It will thus be garbaged by end of every request and recreated on every new request, hereby losing all changed properties.

A @ViewScoped bean is thus particularly more useful in rich Ajax-enabled views which needs to remember the (changed) view state across Ajax requests. A @RequestScoped one would be recreated on every Ajax request and thus fail to remember all changed view state. Note that a @ViewScoped bean does not share any data among different browser tabs/windows in the same session like as a @SessionScoped bean. Every view has its own unique @ViewScoped bean.

This works to make the carousel items full screen, but carousel items that contain images or videos that have a specific size & aspect ratio require further consideration.

Since the viewport h/w ratio is likely to be different than the image or video h/w ratio, usually background images or object-fit are commonly used to size images and videos to "full screen". For videos, use the Bootstrap responsive embed classes as needed for the video ratio (21:9, 19:9, etc...).

For me, it worked like following. Please look at JAVA_HOME environment variable, whether it is pointing to JRE or JDK.? If it pointed to JRE, you will face "Perhaps you are running on a JRE rather than a JDK" issue. if so change the path to JDK.

I found that restarting Docker didn't work, I had to stop and then start Docker with two separate commands.

The problem is that buttons render differently across browsers. In Firefox, 24px is sufficient to cover the default padding and space allowed for your "A" character and center it. In IE and Chrome, it does not, so it defaults to the minimum value needed to cover the left padding and the text without cutting it off, but without adding any additional width to the button.

You can either increase the width, or as suggested above, alter the padding. If you take away the explicit width, it should work too.

unique_ptr guarantees that a single unique_ptr container has ownership of the held pointer. This means that you can't make copies of a unique_ptr (because then two unique_ptrs would have ownership), so you can only move it.

The steps described above do work, however I've encountered this problem on IntelliJ IDEA and have found that I'm having these problems with existing projects and the only solution is to remove the 'appcompat' module (not the library) and re-import it.

As @cs95 mentioned in a comment, to drop only one level, use:

Well don't get too much into Lexical construct of the language as they might have put it there to resolve some compilation ambiguity which is termed as special cases during compiling process or for some backward compatibility, try to focus on core Lexical construct.

The essence of `interface is to capture some abstract concept (idea/thought/higher order thinking etc) whose implementation may vary ... that is, there may be multiple implementation.

An Interface is a pure abstract data type that represents the features of the Object it is capturing or representing.

Features can be represented by space or by time. When they are represented by space (memory storage) it means that your concrete class will implement a field and method/methods that will operate on that field or by time which means that the task of implementing the feature is purely computational (requires more cpu clocks for processing) so you have a trade off between space and time for feature implementation.

If your concrete class does not implement all features it again becomes abstract because you have a implementation of your thought or idea or abstractness but it is not complete , you specify it by abstract class.

A concrete class will be a class/set of classes which will fully capture the abstractness you are trying to capture class XYZ.

So the Pattern is

Interface--->Abstract class/Abstract classes(depends)-->Concrete class

If you installed IIS after the .Net framework you can solve the porblem by re-installing the .Net framework. Part of its install detects whether IIS is present and updates IIS accordingly.

The issue of being forced to trigger('change') drove me nuts, as I had custom code in the change trigger, which should only trigger when the user changes the option in the dropdown. IMO, change should not be triggered when setting an init value at the start.

The reason this particular exception gets thrown is that the content of the element gets applied to the ListView's Items collection. So the XAML initialises the ListView with a single local:ImageView in its Items collection. But when using an ItemsControl you must use either the Items property or the ItemsSource property, you can't use both at the same time. Hence when the ItemsSource attribute gets processed an exception is thrown.

You can find out which property the content of an element will get applied to by looking for the ContentPropertyAttribute on the class. In this case it's defined higher in the class hierarchy, on the ItemsControl:

Or it can be a genuine network issue. Restart your network-manager using sudo service network-manager restart or fix it up

I have just received this error after switching from HTTPS to SSH (for my origin remote). To fix, I simply ran the following command (for each repo):

ssh -T [email protected]

Upon receiving a successful response, I could fetch/push to the repo with ssh.

I took that command from Git's Testing your SSH connection guide, which is part of the greater Connecting to GitHub with with SSH guide.

Note: Git 2.6 (Q3/Q4 2015) will finally provide a more meaningful error message.

log: diagnose empty HEAD more clearly

If you init or clone an empty repository, the initial message from running "git log" is not very friendly:

$ git init
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/peff/foo/.git/
$ git log
fatal: bad default revision 'HEAD'

Let's detect this situation and write a more friendly message:

$ git log
fatal: your current branch 'master' does not have any commits yet

We also detect the case that 'HEAD' points to a broken ref; this should be even less common, but is easy to see.
Note that we do not diagnose all possible cases. We rely on resolve_ref, which means we do not get information about complex cases. E.g., "--default master" would use dwim_ref to find "refs/heads/master", but we notice only that "master" does not exist.
Similarly, a complex sha1 expression like "--default HEAD^2" will not resolve as a ref.

But that's OK. We fall back to a generic error message in those cases, and they are unlikely to be used anyway.
Catching an empty or broken "HEAD" improves the common case, and the other cases are not regressed.

open the my-default.ini Configuration Setting file in any text editor.

search the line in the configuration file.

# port = .....

replace it with :

port=<my_new_port_number>

like my self changed to :

port=15800

This is a tricky question.

There a set of problems about file permissions. If you can do this at the command line

$ sudo chown myaccount /path/to/file

then you have a standard permissions problem. Make sure you own the file and have permission to modify the directory.

If you cannnot get permissions, then you have probably mounted a FAT-32 filesystem. If you ls -l the file, and you find it is owned by root and a member of the "plugdev" group, then you are certain its the issue. FAT-32 permissions are set at the time of mounting, using the line of /etc/fstab file. You can set the uid/gid of all the files like this:

Also, note that the FAT-32 won't take symbolic links.

Yes you can. But this depends what exactly you are trying to do. if your target xml file contains HMTL elements and you are triyng to apply this xsl:template on them it makes sense to use table, div or anithing else.
