At first you must consider that if your activity which I called A extends another activity (B) and in both of

them you want to use onbackpressed function then every code you have in B runs in A too. So if you want to separate these you should separate them. It means that A should not extend B , then you can have onbackpressed separately for each of them.

I did this solution: if you want plot more than one plot in one figure, make sure before plotting next plots you have set right matplotlib.pyplot.hold(True) to able adding another plots.

Concerning the datetime values on the X axis, a solution using the alignment of bars works for me. When you create another bar plot with matplotlib.pyplot.bar(), just use align='edge|center' and set width='+|-distance'.

When you set all bars (plots) right, you will see the bars fine.

sequenceName is the name of the sequence in the DB. This is how you specify a sequence that already exists in the DB. If you go this route, you have to specify the allocationSize which needs to be the same value that the DB sequence uses as its "auto increment".

Check your dependencies for uses of + in the versions. Some dependency could be using com.android.support:appcompat-v7:+. This leads to problems when a new version gets released and could break features.

The solution for this would be to either use com.android.support:appcompat-v7:{compileSdkVersion}.+ or don't use + at all and use the full version (ex. com.android.support:appcompat-v7:26.1.0).

If it is not today's date then you should be able to use a string and specify the date format:

You do not always need to convert the string either, often you can just do something like:

And SQL Server will figure it out for you.

C# Debug - cannot start debugging because the debug target is missing

Please try with the steps below:

  1. Right click on the Visual Studio Project - Properties - Debug - (Start Action section) - select "Start project" radio button.

P.S. I experienced the same problem when I was playing with the options to redirect the console input / output to text file and have selected the option Properties - Debug - (Start Action section) - Start external program. When I moved the Solution to another location on my computer the problem occurred because it was searching for an absolute path to the executable file. Restoring the Visual Studio Project default settings (see above) fixed the problem. For your reference I am using Visual Studio 2013 Professional.

All these syntaxes work perfectly well IF YOUR COMMAND IS FOUND WITHIN THE PATH or IF THE COMMAND IS A cmdpath WITHOUT SPACES OR SPECIAL CHARACTERS.

But if you try to use an executable command located in a folder which path contains special characters then you would need to enclose your command path into double quotes (") and then the FOR /F syntax does not work.

NB: For those who wonder, the sample command used here (to select a folder) is FOLDERBROWSE.EXE. I found it on the web site f2ko.de (http://f2ko.de/en/cmd.php).

If anyone has a better solution for that kind of commands accessible through a complex path, I will be very glad to hear of it.

If the fields are not Primary Key, then you do not need to fulfill refresh/"Execute SQL" (Ctrl+R).

Whenever you want a Cmd-/, you have to change to the ABC keyboard (in your menu row at the top of your screen,if you have ticked it to be shown there in the System Settings - Keyboard tab).

The built-in process module has a method memoryUsage that offers insight in the memory usage of the current Node.js process. Here is an example from in Node v0.12.2 on a 64-bit system:

In this simple example, you can see that allocating an array of 10M elements consumers approximately 80MB (take a look at heapUsed).
If you look at V8's source code (Array::New, Heap::AllocateRawFixedArray, FixedArray::SizeFor), then you'll see that the memory used by an array is a fixed value plus the length multiplied by the size of a pointer. The latter is 8 bytes on a 64-bit system, which confirms that observed memory difference of 8 x 10 = 80MB makes sense.

Proper use of the IDisposable interface

The purpose of the Dispose pattern is to provide a mechanism to clean up both managed and unmanaged resources and when that occurs depends on how the Dispose method is being called. In your example, the use of Dispose is not actually doing anything related to dispose, since clearing a list has no impact on that collection being disposed. Likewise, the calls to set the variables to null also have no impact on the GC.

You can take a look at this article for more details on how to implement the Dispose pattern, but it basically looks like this:

The method that is the most important here is the Dispose(bool), which actually runs under two different circumstances:

  • disposing == true: the method has been called directly or indirectly by a user's code. Managed and unmanaged resources can be disposed.
  • disposing == false: the method has been called by the runtime from inside the finalizer, and you should not reference other objects. Only unmanaged resources can be disposed.

The problem with simply letting the GC take care of doing the cleanup is that you have no real control over when the GC will run a collection cycle (you can call GC.Collect(), but you really shouldn't) so resources may stay around longer than needed. Remember, calling Dispose() doesn't actually cause a collection cycle or in any way cause the GC to collect/free the object; it simply provides the means to more deterministicly cleanup the resources used and tell the GC that this cleanup has already been performed.

The whole point of IDisposable and the dispose pattern isn't about immediately freeing memory. The only time a call to Dispose will actually even have a chance of immediately freeing memory is when it is handling the disposing == false scenario and manipulating unmanaged resources. For managed code, the memory won't actually be reclaimed until the GC runs a collection cycle, which you really have no control over (other than calling GC.Collect(), which I've already mentioned is not a good idea).

Your scenario isn't really valid since strings in .NET don't use any unamanged resources and don't implement IDisposable, there is no way to force them to be "cleaned up."

Remember that the AND and OR operators evaluate whether or not the result code of the previous operation was equal to true/success (0). and -b is used to show all pids

Floating point vs integer calculations on modern hardware

The floating point version will be much slower, if there is no remainder operation. Since all the adds are sequential, the cpu will not be able to parallelise the summation. The latency will be critical. FPU add latency is typically 3 cycles, while integer add is 1 cycle. However, the divider for the remainder operator will probably the critical part, as it is not fully pipelined on modern cpu's. so, assuming the divide/remainder instruction will consume the bulk of the time, the difference due to add latency will be small.

This is not a particularly good answer as it explains how to run your java code n VS Code and not necessarily a Maven project, but it worked for me because I could not get around to doing the manual configuration myself. I decided to use this method instead since it is easier and faster.

Install VSCode (and for windows, set your environment variables), then install vscode:extension/vscjava.vscode-java-pack as detailed above, and then install the code runner extension pack, which basically sets up the whole process (in the background) as explained in the accepted answer above and then provides a play button to run your java code when you're ready.

This was all explained in this video.

Again, this is not the best solution, but if you want to cut to the chase, you may find this answer useful.

Anyways, You have a .c source file, and most of the code looks as per C standards, except that #include <iostream> and using namespace std;

C equivalent for the built-in functions of C++ standard #include<iostream> can be availed through #include<stdio.h>

  1. Replace #include <iostream> with #include <stdio.h>, delete using namespace std;
  2. With #include <iostream> taken off, you would need a C standard alternative for cout << endl;, which can be done by printf("\n"); or putchar('\n');
    Out of the two options, printf("\n"); works the faster as I observed.

    When used printf("\n"); in the code above in place of cout<<endl;

If none of the above is working, you are probably working on EDI trasaction where you need to validate your result against an HIPPA schema or any other complex xsd for that matter. The requirement is that, say there 8 REF segments and any of them have to appear in any order and also not all are required, means to say you may have them in following order 1st REF, 3rd REF , 2nd REF, 9th REF. Under default situation EDI receive will fail, beacause default complex type is

This will make each element unique, reason being All REF segements (above example) have same structure like REF01, REF02, REF03. And during validation the structure validation is ok but it doesn't let the values repeat because it tries to look for remaining values in first REF itself. Adding triggers will make them all unique and they will pass in any order and situational cases (like use 5 out 9 and not all 9/9).

  4. Any white space in string will make it return false.

Conditional formatting is automatically applied to any input that isn't an error, so you can achieve the same effect as:

If your listview only contains basic text, the simplest way to solve the problem is by using transparent brushes.

How do I setup the InternetExplorerDriver so it works

Here is the exact solution, which worked in my case:

  1. On IE 7 or higher on Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must set the Protected Mode settings for each zone to be the same value. The value can be on or off, as long as it is the same for every zone. To set the Protected Mode settings, choose "Internet Options..." from the Tools menu, and click on the Security tab. Based on BaileyP's answer. The main difference is that these methods return -1 if the pattern can't be matched.

Edit: Thanks to Jason Bunting's answer I got an idea. Why not modify the .lastIndex property of the regex? Though this will only work for patterns with the global flag (/g).

It's exactly what the error says. You didn't create any RestTemplate bean, so it can't autowire any. If you need a RestTemplate you'll have to provide one. For example, add the following to TestMicroServiceApplication.java:

There is no benefit to repeating identical code multiple times.

Also, if you place the logic in a method and it changes, you only need to modify your code in one place.

Whether or not you want to use a 3rd party library is an entirely different decision.

When you call setAdapter, that does not immediately lay out and position items on the screen (that takes a single layout pass) hence your scrollToPosition() call has no actual elements to scroll to when you call it.

Instead, you should register a ViewTreeObserver.OnGlobalLayoutListener (via addOnGlobalLayoutListner() from a ViewTreeObserver created by conversationView.getViewTreeObserver()) which delays your scrollToPosition() until after the first layout pass:
