That your example is invalid is only because you chose a reserved character to start your scalars with. If you replace the * with some other non-reserved character (I tend to use non-ASCII characters for that as they are seldom used as part of some specification), you end up with perfectly legal YAML:

This will load into the standard representation for mappings in the language your parser uses and does not magically expand anything.

The expanding is done on the fly and handles nested definitions, but you have to be careful about not invoking infinite recursion.

By specifying the dumper, you can dump the original YAML from the data loaded in, because of the on-the-fly expansion:

In my case the problem was that https was unable to start correctly because Listen 443 was in "IfDefine SSL" derective, but my apache didnt start with -DSSL option. The fix was to change my apachectl script in:

$HTTPD -k $ARGV

to:

$HTTPD -k $ARGV -DSSL

To make use of regular expressions directly in Excel formulas the following UDF (user defined function) can be of help. It more or less directly exposes regular expression functionality as an excel function.

How it works

It takes 2-3 parameters.

1. A text to use the regular expression on.
2. A regular expression.
3. A format string specifying how the result should look. It can contain $0, $1, $2, and so on. $0 is the entire match, $1 and up correspond to the respective match groups in the regular expression. Defaults to $0.

How to use

To use this UDF do the following (roughly based on this Microsoft page. They have some good additional info there!):

2. Add VBA reference to the Regular Expressions library (shamelessly copied from Portland Runners++ answer):

You could always treat the list like a stack just popping the elements off the top of the stack from the back end of the list. That way you take advantage of first in last out characteristics of a stack. Of course you are consuming the 1st array. I do like this method in that it's pretty intuitive in that you see one list being consumed from the back end while the other is being built from the front end.

With vanilla JavaScript, you don't need the hash (#) e.g. document.getElementById('id_here') , however when using jQuery, you do need to put hash to target elements based on id just like CSS.

As mentionned in comments: you need a way to send your static files to the client. This can be achieved with a reverse proxy like Nginx, or simply using express.static().

Put all your "static" (css, js, images) files in a folder dedicated to it, different from where you put your "views" (html files in your case). I'll call it static for the example. Once it's done, add this line in your server code:

This will effectively serve every file in your "static" folder via the /static route.

You can delete the remote-tracking branch using

git branch -d -r origin/<remote branch name>

as VonC mentions above. However, if you keep your local copy of the branch, git push will still try to push that branch (which could give you a non-fast-forward error as it did for ruffin). This is because the config push.default defaults to matching which means:

matching - push all matching branches. All branches having the same name in both ends are considered to be matching. This is the default.

Seeing as this is probably not what you wanted when you deleted the remote-tracking branch, you can set push.default to upstream (or tracking if you have git < 1.7.4.3)

upstream - push the current branch to its upstream branch.

Note: The simpler solution would be to just rename your local branch to something else. That would eliminate some potential for confusion, as well.

Is there a way to exclude column(s) from a table without specifying all the columns?

Using declarative SQL in the usual way, no.

I think your proposed syntax is worthy and good. In fact, the relational database language 'Tutorial D' has a very similar syntax where the keywords ALL BUT are followed by a set of attributes (columns).

However, SQL's SELECT * already gets a lot a flak (@Guffa's answer here is a typical objection), so I don't think SELECT ALL BUT will get into the SQL Standard anytime soon.

I think the best 'work around' is to create a VIEW with only the columns you desire then SELECT * FROM ThatView.

Here is a situation where you can divide by zero. The business rule is that to calculate inventory turns, you take cost of goods sold for a period, annualize it. After you have the annualized number, you divide by the average inventory for the period.

I'm looking at calculating the number of inventory turns that occur in a three month period. I have calculated that I have Cost of Goods sold during the three month period of $1,000. The annual rate of sales is $4,000 ($1,000/3)*12. The beginning inventory is 0. The ending inventory is 0. My average inventory is now 0. I have sales of $4000 per year, and no inventory. This yields an infinite number of turns. This means that all my inventory is being converted and purchased by customers.

This is a business rule of how to calculate inventory turns.

If you want to get the week number with the year, Grant Shannon's solution using strftime works, but you need to make some corrections for the dates around january 1st. If your merge was not too complicated another option would be to:

1. Move all the changes including the merge changes back to stash using "git stash"
2. Run the merge again and commit your changes (without the changes from the dropped stash)

Regarding accuracy, you are almost correct. On SOME Windows machines, currentTimeMillis() has a resolution of about 10ms (not 50ms). I'm not sure why, but some Windows machines are just as accurate as Linux machines.

Assuming you're using WinForms, as it was the first thing I did when I was starting C# you need to create an event to close this form.

Lets say you've got a button called myNewButton. If you double click it on WinForms designer you will create an event. After that you just have to use this.Close

I came here looking for making an input that's actually multiple lines. Turns out I didn't want an input, I wanted a textarea. You can set height or line-height as other answers specify, but it'll still just be one line of a textbox. If you want actual multiple lines, use a textarea instead. The following is an example of a 3-row textarea with a width of 500px (should be a good part of the page, not necessary to set this and will have to change it based on your requirements).

Associative array in PHP actually considered as a dictionary.

An array in PHP is actually an ordered map. A map is a type that associates values to keys. it can be treated as an array, list (vector), hash table (an implementation of a map), dictionary, collection, stack, queue, and probably more.

They're apples and oranges. You don't want to compare them. They're two different things. AngularJs has already jQuery lite built in which allows you to perform basic DOM manipulation without even including the full blown jQuery version.

jQuery is all about DOM manipulation. It solves all the cross browser pain otherwise you will have to deal with but it's not a framework that allows you to divide your app into components like AngularJS.

A nice thing about AngularJs is that it allows you to separate/isolate the DOM manipulation in the directives. There are built-in directives ready for you to use such as ng-click. You can create your own custom directives that will contain all your view logic or DOM manipulation so you don't end up mingle DOM manipulation code in the controllers or services that should take care of the business logic.

Angular breaks down your app into - Controllers - Services - Views - etc.

and there is one more thing, that's the directive. It's an attribute you can attach to any DOM element and you can go nuts with jQuery within it without worrying about your jQuery ever conflicts with AngularJs components or messes up with its architecture.

I heard from a meetup I attended, one of the founders of Angular said they worked really hard to separate out the DOM manipulation so do not try to include them back in.

A transparent, clean and simple approach, checking cookies availability with PHP and taking advantage of AJAX transparent redirection, hence not triggering a page reload. It doesn't require sessions either.

First time the script is called, the cookie is set and the script tells the browser to redirect to itself. The browser does it transparently. No page reload takes place because it's done within an AJAX call scope.

If the script is called for the second time (identified by the "reload" parameter) and the cookie is not received, it responds an HTTP 200 with string "false" -and the showCookiesMessage function gets called.

I'm not sure if this is bad practice or no, but my team and I have been using a mixed html, JS, and php solution. We start with the PHP string we want to pull into a JS variable, lets call it:

With the November 2016 (release notes) update of VSCode, there is built-in support for converting to upper case and lower case via the commands editor.action.transformToUppercase and editor.action.transformToLowercase. These don't have default keybindings. They also work with multi-line blocks.

The change-case extension is still useful for other text transformations, e.g. camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, etc.

Using a custom url attribute makes the HTML invalid. Although that may not be a huge problem, the given examples are neither accessible. Not for keyboard navigation and not in cases when JavaScript is turned off (or blocked by some other script). Even Google will not find the page located at the specified url, not via this route at least.

It's quite easy to make this accessible though. Just make sure there's a regular link inside the div that points to the url. Using JavaScript/jQuery you add an onclick to the div that redirects to the location specified by the link's href attribute. Now, when JavaScript doesn't work, the link still does and it can even catch the focus when using the keyboard to navigate (and you don't need custom attributes, so your HTML can be valid).

I wrote a jQuery plugin some time ago that does this. It also adds classNames to the div (or any other element you want to make clickable) and the link so you can alter their looks with CSS when the div is indeed clickable. It even adds classNames that you can use to specify hover and focus styles.

All you need to do is specify the element(s) you want to make clickable and call their clickable() method: in your case that would be $("div.clickable).clickable();

I just bumped into the same problem and I used the following solution (all from Package Manager Console)

This will create 2 separate folders in the Migrations folder. Each will contain the generated Configuration.cs file. Unfortunately you still have to rename those Configuration.cs files otherwise there will be complaints about having two of them. I renamed my files to ConfigA.cs and ConfigB.cs

EDIT: (courtesy Kevin McPheat) Remember when renaming the Configuration.cs files, also rename the class names and constructors /EDIT

With this structure you can simply do

I could not get the -o|--outputDir option to work. It kept on giving Microsoft.Dnx.Runtime.Common.Commandline.CommandParsingException: Unrecognized command or argument

However it looks like the first time an migration is added it is added into the Migrations folder, and a subsequent migration for another context is automatically put into a subdolder of migrations.

The original names ContextA seems to violate some naming conventions so I now use ContextAContext and ContextBContext. Using these names you could use the following commands: (note that my dnx still works from the package manager console and I do not like to open a separate CMD window to do migrations)

This will create a model snapshot and a initial migration in the Migrations folder for ContextAContext. It will create a folder named ContextB containing these files for ContextBContext

I manually added a ContextA folder and moved the migration files from ContextAContext into that folder. Then I renamed the namespace inside those files (snapshot file, initial migration and note that there is a third file under the initial migration file ... designer.cs). I had to add .ContextA to the namespace, and from there the framework handles it automatically again.

Using the following commands would create a new migration for each context

PM>  dnx ef migrations add Update1 -c "ContextBContext"

and the generated files are put in the correct folders.

If it's something more specific like DateKey (yyyymmdd) that you need for dimensional models, I suggest something without any casts/converts:

Reading it as UTF-16 was also my problem.

My problem, it showed an error called "The class Form1 can be designed, but is not the first class in the file. Visual Studio requires that designers use the first class in the file. Move the class code so that it is the first class in the file and try loading the designer again. ". So I moved the Form class to the first one and it worked. :)

Here's a future-proof approach.

Based on your question, you seem to be modifying 1 property in state for all of your elements. That's why when you click on one, all of them are being changed.

In particular, notice that the state tracks an index of which element is active. When MyClickable is clicked, it tells the Container its index, Container updates the state, and subsequently the isActive property of the appropriate MyClickables.

vw and vh stand for viewport width and viewport height respectively.

The difference between using width: 100vw instead of width: 100% is that while 100% will make the element fit all the space available, the viewport width has a specific measure, in this case the width of the available screen, including the document margin.

If you set the style body { margin: 0 }, 100vw should behave the same as 100%.

Additional notes

Using vw as unit for everything in your website, including font sizes and heights, will make it so that the site is always displayed proportionally to the device's screen width regardless of it's resolution. This makes it super easy to ensure your website is displayed properly in both workstation and mobile.

When you access C.method (the method inside a class instead of inside an instance), you get an unbound method. If you want to call it, you have to pass the instance as first parameter because the method is not bound to any instance.

Knowing that difference, you can make use of functions/methods as objects, like passing methods around. As an example use case, imagine an API that lets you define a callback function, but you want to provide a method as callback function. No problem, just pass self.myCallbackMethod as the callback and it will automatically be called with the instance as first argument. This wouldn't be possible in static languages like C++ (or only with trickery).

Fast-forward merging makes sense for short-lived branches, but in a more complex history, non-fast-forward merging may make the history easier to understand, and make it easier to revert a group of commits.

Finished features may be merged into the develop branch to add them to the upcoming release:

The --no-ff flag causes the merge to always create a new commit object, even if the merge could be performed with a fast-forward. This avoids losing information about the historical existence of a feature branch and groups together all commits that together added the feature.

Jakub Narebski also mentions the config merge.ff:

By default, Git does not create an extra merge commit when merging a commit that is a descendant of the current commit. Instead, the tip of the current branch is fast-forwarded.
When set to false, this variable tells Git to create an extra merge commit in such a case (equivalent to giving the --no-ff option from the command line).
When set to 'only', only such fast-forward merges are allowed (equivalent to giving the --ff-only option from the command line).

The fast-forward is the default because:

• short-lived branches are very easy to create and use in Git

I think the lifetime of branches varies greatly from user to user. Among experienced users, though, there's probably a tendency to have far more short-lived branches.

To me, a short-lived branch is one that I create in order to make a certain operation easier (rebasing, likely, or quick patching and testing), and then immediately delete once I'm done.
That means it likely should be absorbed into the topic branch it forked from, and the topic branch will be merged as one branch. No one needs to know what I did internally in order to create the series of commits implementing that given feature.

More generally, I add:

it really depends on your development workflow:

• if it is linear, one branch makes sense.
• If you need to isolate features and work on them for a long period of time and repeatedly merge them, several branches make sense.

Actually, when you consider the Mercurial branch model, it is at its core one branch per repository (even though you can create anonymous heads, bookmarks and even named branches)

Mercurial, by default, uses anonymous lightweight codelines, which in its terminology are called "heads".

Limiting the length of the input is definitely easier. You could accept an arbitrarily-long input by using a loop, reading in a bit at a time, re-allocating space for the string as necessary...

But that's a lot of work, so most C programmers just chop off the input at some arbitrary length. I suppose you know this already, but using fgets() isn't going to allow you to accept arbitrary amounts of text - you're still going to need to set a limit.

I had the same problem, caused by the Debian/ Ubuntu default configuration of module suphp. It contained suPHP_Engine off for whole /usr/share, which resulted in the php sources being shown in the browser. Deactivating with a2dismod suphp was the interim solution.

Docker images are stored as filesystem layers. Every command in the Dockerfile creates a layer. You can also create layers by using docker commit from the command line after making some changes (via docker run probably).

These layers are stored by default under /var/lib/docker. While you could (theoretically) cherry pick files from there and install it in a different docker server, is probably a bad idea to play with the internal representation used by Docker.

When you push your image, these layers are sent to the registry (the docker hub registry, by default… unless you tag your image with another registry prefix) and stored there. When pushing, the layer id is used to check if you already have the layer locally or it needs to be downloaded. You can use docker history to peek at which layers (other images) are used (and, to some extent, which command created the layer).

As for options to share an image without pushing to the docker hub registry, your best options are:

• docker save an image or docker export a container. This will output a tar file to standard output, so you will like to do something like docker save 'dockerizeit/agent' > dk.agent.latest.tar. Then you can use docker load or docker import in a different host.

• Host your own private registry. - Outdated, see comments See the docker registry image. We have built an s3 backed registry which you can start and stop as needed (all state is kept on the s3 bucket of your choice) which is trivial to setup. This is also an interesting way of watching what happens when pushing to a registry

• Use another registry like quay.io (I haven't personally tried it), although whatever concerns you have with the docker hub will probably apply here too.

Unfortunately we need to run docker-compose logs separately from docker-compose run. In order to get this to work reliably we need to suppress the docker-compose run exit status then redirect the log and exit with the right status.

The issue is that you are serializing your bean with a custom Gson object while the application is attempting to deserialize your JSON with a Jackson ObjectMapper (within MappingJackson2HttpMessageConverter).

If you open up your server logs, you should see something like

The alternative is to register your own MappingJackson2HttpMessageConverter by configuring your own ObjectMapper to have the same date format as your Gson.

Using CONCAT(CONCAT(,),) worked for me when concatenating more than two strings.

My problem required working with date strings (only) and creating YYYYMMDD from YYYY-MM-DD as follows (i.e. without converting to date format):

The current accepted answer by crack is deprecated in Symfony 2.3 and will be removed by 3.0. It should be moved to the constructor:

I think I may have a better solution for having a fully responsive iframe (a vimeo video in my case) embed on your site. Nest the iframe in a div. Give them the following styles:

The solution that worked for me is as follows:

1. Make sure VirtualBox Manager is not running.
2. Back up the files ~\.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml and ~\.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml-prev.
3. Edit these files to modify the <HardDisks>...</HardDisks> section to remove the duplicate entry of <HardDisk />.
4. Now run VirtualBox Manager.

Note in the above fragment that the last two entries refer to the same VM but have different uuid's. One of them is invalid and should be removed. Which one is invalid can be found out by hit and trial -- first remove the second entry and try; if it doesn't work, remove the third entry.

I had the same error here but with glassfish server. Maybe it can help. I needed to configure the glassfish-web.xml file with the content inside the <resources> from glassfish-resources.xml. As I got another error I could find this annotation in the server log:

One more important difference between add and replace is this:

replace removes the existing fragment and adds a new fragment. This means when you press back button the fragment that got replaced will be created with its onCreateView being invoked. Whereas add retains the existing fragments and adds a new fragment that means existing fragment will be active and they wont be in 'paused' state hence when a back button is pressed onCreateView is not called for the existing fragment(the fragment which was there before new fragment was added).

In terms of fragment's life cycle events onPause, onResume, onCreateView and other life cycle events will be invoked in case of replace but they wont be invoked in case of add.

Edit: One should be careful if she is using some kind of event bus library like Greenrobot's Eventbus and reusing the same fragment to stack the fragment on top of other via add. In this scenario, even though you follow the best practice and register the event bus in onResume and unregister in onPause, event bus would still be active in each instance of the added fragment as add fragment wont call either of these fragment life cycle methods. As a result event bus listener in each active instance of the fragment would process the same event which may not be what you want.

You can't "execute" a DLL. You can execute functions within the DLL, as explained in the other answers. Although .EXE files and .DLL files are essentially identical in terms of format, the distinguishing feature of an .EXE is that it contains a designated "entry point" to go and do the thing the EXE was created to do. DLLs actually have something similar, but the purpose of the "dll main" is just to perform initialization and not fulfill the primary purpose of the DLL; that is for the (presumably) various other functions it contains.

Just to augment the accepted answer with a brief newbie-friendly short answer, you probably don't need exec.

If you're still here, the following discussion should hopefully reveal why. When you run, say,

sh -c 'command'

you run a sh instance, then start command as a child of that sh instance. When command finishes, the sh instance also finishes.

sh -c 'exec command'

runs a sh instance, then replaces that sh instance with the command binary, and runs that instead.

Of course, both of these are useless in this limited context; you simply want

command

There are some fringe situations where you want the shell to read its configuration file or somehow otherwise set up the environment as a preparation for running command. This is pretty much the sole situation where exec command is useful.

This does some stuff to prepare the environment so that it contains what is needed. Once that's done, the sh instance is no longer necessary, and so it's a (minor) optimization to simply replace the sh instance with the command process, rather than have sh run it as a child process and wait for it, then exit as soon as it finishes.

Similarly, if you want to free up as much resources as possible for a heavyish command at the end of a shell script, you might want to exec that command as an optimization.

If something forces you to run sh but you really wanted to run something else, exec something else is of course a workaround to replace the undesired sh instance (like for example if you really wanted to run your own spiffy gosh instead of sh but yours isn't listed in /etc/shells so you can't specify it as your login shell).

The second use of exec to manipulate file descriptors is a separate topic. The accepted answer covers that nicely; to keep this self-contained, I'll just defer to the manual for anything where exec is followed by a redirect instead of a command name.

The cursor is the Interface that represents a 2-dimensional table of any database.

When you try to retrieve some data using SELECT statement, then the database will 1st create a CURSOR object and return its reference to you.

The pointer of this returned reference is pointing to the 0th location which is otherwise called as before the first location of the Cursor, so when you want to retrieve data from the cursor, you have to 1st move to the 1st record so we have to use moveToFirst

When you invoke moveToFirst() method on the Cursor, it takes the cursor pointer to the 1st location. Now you can access the data present in the 1st record

This *& in theory as well as in practical its possible and called as reference to pointer variable. and it's act like same. This *& combination is used in as function parameter for 'pass by' type defining. unlike ** can also be used for declaring a double pointer variable.
The passing of parameter is divided into pass by value, pass by reference, pass by pointer. there are various answer about "pass by" types available. however the basic we require to understand for this topic is.

Specifically, I got this issue when attempting to retrieve the default (no-args) InitialContext within an embedded Tomcat7 instance, in SpringBoot.

The solution for me, was to tell Tomcat to enableNaming.

i.e.

Be careful. For this you need @GET (not @PUT).

I had the same problem exactly, and I can't remember how I fond this solution but simply adding DISTINCTROW solved the problem.

In your code it will look like this:

UPDATE DISTINCTROW [GS] INNER JOIN [Views] ON <- the only change is here
    ([Views].Hostname = [GS].Hostname) 
    AND ([GS].APPID = [Views].APPID) 
 ...

I'm not sure why this works, but for me, it did exactly what I needed.

This is exactly what bytearray is for:

newFileByteArray = bytearray(newFileBytes)
newFile.write(newFileByteArray)

If you're using Python 3.x, you can use bytes instead (and probably ought to, as it signals your intention better). But in Python 2.x, that won't work, because bytes is just an alias for str. As usual, showing with the interactive interpreter is easier than explaining with text, so let me just do that.

Python 3.x:

The lookup time is slow because when you use mmap to does not load content of array to memory when you invoke load method. Data is lazy loaded when particular data is needed. And this happens in lookup in your case. But second lookup won`t be so slow.

This is nice feature of mmap when you have a big array you do not have to load whole data into memory.

To solve your can use joblib you can dump any object you want using joblib.dump even two or more numpy arrays, see the example

I am not saying this is the best/only way, but it works well for me.

The best easiest way I found to reset settings:

Open Settings page (Ctrl+Shift+P):

Go onto your desire setting section to reset, click on icon and then Reset Setting :

After brew install pyqt, you can brew test pyqt which will use the python you have got in your PATH in oder to do the test (show a Qt window).

Sometimes it is necessary to open a new shell or tap in order to use the freshly brewed binaries.

I frequently check these issues by printing the sys.path from inside of python: python -c "import sys; print(sys.path)" The $(brew --prefix)/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages have to be in the sys.path in order to be able to import stuff. As said, for brewed python, this is default but for any other python, you will have to set the PYTHONPATH.
