Basic difference between add() and replace() can be described as:

• add() is used for simply adding a fragment to some root element.
• replace() behaves similarly but at first it removes previous fragments and then adds next fragment.

We can see the exact difference when we use addToBackStack() together with add() or replace().

When we press back button after in case of add()... onCreateView is never called, but in case of replace(), when we press back button ... oncreateView is called every time.

Since String types in Swift aim to provide excellent UTF-8 support, you can no longer access character indexes/ranges/substrings using Int types. Instead, you use String.Index:

In my case, it was due to Same Origin policies. To explain it further, MDN states the following:

If the iframe and the iframe's parent document are Same Origin, returns a Document (that is, the active document in the inline frame's nested browsing context), else returns null.

First, rewrite your array like this:

You should likely change the .container to .container-fluid, which will cause your container to stretch the entire screen. This will allow any div's inside of it to naturally stretch as wide as they need.

You should pull that div outside of the container. You're asking a div to stretch wider than its parent, which is generally not recommended practice.

If you cannot pull it out of the div for some reason, you should change the position style with this css:

The easiest way I have found to have the proper "directory" structure appear under the drawable folder for my icons is this:

1. Right click "Drawable"
2. Click on "New", then "Image Asset"
3. Change "Asset Type" to "Action Bar and Tab Icons"
4. For "Foreground" choose "ClipArt"
5. For "Clipart" click and "Choose" button and pick any icon
6. For "Resource Name" type in you icon file name

Now the pseudo-directories have been created for you under the Drawable folder in the Android view. Open up the true directories on your file system "main/res/drawable-xxhdpi", "main/res/drawable-xhdpi" and replace the icons in each folder with your own of the proper density.

The answer depends on the presence of other shapes, level of noise if any and invariance you want to provide for (e.g. rotation, scaling, etc). These requirements will define not only the algorithm but also required pre-procesing stages to extract features.

Template matching that was suggested above works well when shapes aren't rotated or scaled and when there are no similar shapes around; in other words, it finds a best translation in the image where template is located:

Geometric hashing is a good method to get invariance in terms of rotation and scaling; this method would require extraction of some contour points.

Generalized Hough transform can take care of invariance, noise and would have minimal pre-processing but it is a bit harder to implement than other methods. OpenCV has such transforms for lines and circles.

In the case when number of shapes is limited calculating moments or counting convex hull vertices may be the easiest solution: openCV structural analysis

For IPv4 addresses, you can use VARCHAR to store them as strings, but also look into storing them as long integesrs INT(11) UNSIGNED. You can use MySQL's INET_ATON() function to convert them to integer representation. The benefit of this is it allows you to do easy comparisons on them, like BETWEEN queries

You can use MATCH for instance.

1. Select the column from the first cell, for example cell A2 to cell A100 and insert a conditional formatting, using 'New Rule...' and the option to conditional format based on a formula.

2. In the entry box, put:

3. Pick the desired formatting (change the font to red or fill the cell background, etc) and click OK.

MATCH takes the value A2 from your data table, looks into 'Sheet2'!A:A and if there's an exact match (that's why there's a 0 at the end), then it'll return the row number.

Note: Conditional formatting based on conditions from other sheets is available only on Excel 2010 onwards. If you're working on an earlier version, you might want to get the list of 'Don't check' in the same sheet.

Well, why this exists in general is probably different than why it exists in your example.

No, what you are looking for would be called a parent selector. CSS has none; they have been proposed multiple times but I know of no existing or forthcoming standard including them. You are correct that you would need to use something like jQuery or use additional class annotations to achieve the effect you want.

You may want to add an extra layer of precision, to specify, for each field, whether sorting should be ascendant or descendant. I guess a solution is to replace Field objects by objects of a class you could call SortedField, containing a Field object, plus another field meaning ascendant or descendant.

Dictionary literals are a little more obviously dictionaries, and you can create any kind of key, but you need to quote the key names. On the other hand, you can use variables for keys if you need to for some reason:

I'd recommend PhatStudio if you're using upto VS 2012. Works pretty fast, and supports multi-word search by using "space". So to search for LoginController, you could press Alt+O and search using "Lo Con".

You could also use ReSharper (paid) and CodeMaid (free) to do this.

If you're running PHP, I recommend Minify because it does combines and minifies on the fly for both CSS and JS. Once you've configured it, just work as normal and it takes care of everything.

For me, the reason for this error was that there was a folder with the same name as the python module I was trying to import.

And python treated that folder as a python package and tried to import from that empty package "core", not from core.py.

Seems like for some reason git left that empty folder during the branches switch

So I just removed that folder and everything worked like a charm

If you want to tag the branch you are in, then type:

git tag <tag>

and push the branch with:

While the current Answer is right in most cases, there are certain situations that it will not give you the correct answer. If you use inside your script functions then:

Returns the name of the function instead name of the name of the script.

Already some great answers to this question, however here is a nice snippet that I use regularly to drop rows if they have non-numeric values on some columns:

The way this works is we first drop all the data_columns from the df, and then use a join to put them back in after passing them through pd.to_numeric (with option 'coerce', such that all non-numeric entries are converted to NaN). The result is saved to num_df.

On the second line we use a filter that keeps only rows where all values are not null.

Note that pd.to_numeric is coercing to NaN everything that cannot be converted to a numeric value, so strings that represent numeric values will not be removed. For example '1.25' will be recognized as the numeric value 1.25.

Disclaimer: pd.to_numeric was introduced in pandas version 0.17.0

• They don't demand unenforceable adherence to thinly documented conventions
• They don't conflict with the proper use of final fields
• They don't throw unnecessary checked exceptions
• They don't require casts.

All standard collections have copy constructors. Use them.

The short answer: when you create a ListView you pass it a reference to the data. Now, whenever this data will be altered, it will affect the list view and thus add the item to it, after you'll call adapter.notifyDataSetChanged();.

A short summary from my humble knowledge:

There are some easy computational problems (like finding the shortest path between two points in a graph), which can be calculated pretty fast ( O(n^k), where n is the size of the input and k is a constant (in the case of graphs, it's the number of vertexes or edges)).

Other problems, like finding a path that crosses every vertex in a graph or getting the RSA private key from the public key is harder (O(e^n)).

But CS speak tells that the problem is that we cannot 'convert' a non-deterministic Turing-machine to a deterministic one, we can, however, transform non-deterministic finite automatons (like the regex parser) into deterministic ones (well, you can, but the run-time of the machine will take long). That is, we have to try every possible path (usually smart CS professors can exclude a few ones).

It's interesting because nobody even has any idea of the solution. Some say it's true, some say it's false, but there is no consensus. Another interesting thing is that a solution would be harmful for public/private key encryptions (like RSA). You could break them as easily as generating an RSA key is now.

And it's a pretty inspiring problem.

First of all, MEAN is an acronym for MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.js.

It generically identifies the combined used of these technologies in a "stack". There is no such a thing as "The MEAN framework".

Lior Kesos at Linnovate took advantage of this confusion. He bought the domain MEAN.io and put some code at https://github.com/linnovate/mean

They luckily received a lot of publicity, and theree are more and more articles and video about MEAN. When you Google "mean framework", mean.io is the first in the list.

Unfortunately the code at https://github.com/linnovate/mean seems poorly engineered.

In February I fell in the trap myself. The site mean.io had a catchy design and the Github repo had 1000+ stars. The idea of questioning the quality did not even pass through my mind. I started experimenting with it but it did not take too long to stumble upon things that were not working, and puzzling pieces of code.

The commit history was also pretty concerning. They re-engineered the code and directory structure multiple times, and merging the new changes is too time consuming.

The nice things about both mean.io and mean.js code is that they come with Bootstrap integration. They also come with Facebook, Github, Linkedin etc authentication through PassportJs and an example of a model (Article) on the backend on MongoDB that sync with the frontend model with AngularJS.

According to Linnovate's website:

My understanding is that the main Javascript developer (Amos Haviv) left Linnovate to work on Mean.js leaving MEAN.io project with people that are novice Node.js developers that are slowing understanding how things are supposed to work.

In the future things may change but for now I would avoid to use mean.io. If you are looking for a boilerplate for a quickstart Mean.js seems a better option than mean.io.

I think you can probably work with any ApplicationContext type.

Usually you would use an init method (in addition to your setter method):

You cannot add style to an SVG <g> element. Its only purpose is to group children. That means, too, that style attributes you give to it are given down to its children, so a fill="green" on the <g> means an automatic fill="green" on its child <rect> (as long as it has no own fill specification).

You should not throw an ArithmeticException. Since the error is in the supplied arguments, throw an IllegalArgumentException. As the documentation says:

Thrown to indicate that a method has been passed an illegal or inappropriate argument.

orphanRemoval has nothing to do with ON DELETE CASCADE.

orphanRemoval is an entirely ORM-specific thing. It marks "child" entity to be removed when it's no longer referenced from the "parent" entity, e.g. when you remove the child entity from the corresponding collection of the parent entity.

ON DELETE CASCADE is a database-specific thing, it deletes the "child" row in the database when the "parent" row is deleted.

This command:

I believe this has already been answered by other users before me, so I only add it for the sake of completeness: the with statement simplifies exception handling by encapsulating common preparation and cleanup tasks in so-called context managers. More details can be found in PEP 343. For instance, the open statement is a context manager in itself, which lets you open a file, keep it open as long as the execution is in the context of the with statement where you used it, and close it as soon as you leave the context, no matter whether you have left it because of an exception or during regular control flow. The with statement can thus be used in ways similar to the RAII pattern in C++: some resource is acquired by the with statement and released when you leave the with context.

2. Some examples are: opening files using with open(filename) as fp:, acquiring locks using with lock: (where lock is an instance of threading.Lock). You can also construct your own context managers using the contextmanager decorator from contextlib. For instance, I often use this when I have to change the current directory temporarily and then return to where I was:

You can use the setsockopt function to set a timeout on receive operations:

Reportedly on Windows this should be done before calling bind. I have verified by experiment that it can be done either before or after bind on Linux and OS X.

For the offline tools that support multiple inputs, the best I've seen so far is https://github.com/wolverdude/GenSON/ I'd like to see a tool that takes filenames on standard input because I have thousands of files. However, I run out of open file descriptors, so make sure the files are closed. I'd also like to see JSON Schema generators that handle recursion. I am now working on generating Java classes from JSON objects in hopes of going to JSON Schema from my Java classes. Here is my GenSON script if you are curious or want to identify bugs in it.

Although not a complete answer to your question, there are shortcut keys in Excel to change the formatting of the selected cell(s) to either Date or Time (unfortunately, I haven't found one for Date+Time).

C and C++ obey the "maximum munch" rule. The same way a---b is translated to (a--) - b, in your case x-->0 translates to (x--)>0.

What the rule says essentially is that going left to right, expressions are formed by taking the maximum of characters which will form an valid expression.

Why are you using try catch blocks to read the tree? It's easy enough (and probably safer) to query whether a key exists in a dict before trying to retrieve it. A function using guard clauses might look like this:

I think the previous answers missed the most important (non-trivial) aspect of the OP's question, i.e., how to perform the search/replace in a "time saving" manner, meaning once, not three times, and "maintain case" originally present.

On the pane, check "[X] Preserve Case" before clicking the Replace All button

This performs a case-aware "smart" replacement in one pass:

Like others said, you can just loop over the array and print out the elements one by one. To make the output show up as numbers instead of "letters and symbols" you were seeing, you need to convert each element to a string. So your code becomes something like this:

The key thing to remember, the initial poster excluded all data after 2009-11-15 00:00:00. So, any data that was recorded at midnight on the 15th was included but any data after midnight on the 15th was not. If their query was,

That will produce the diff between the tips of the two branches. If you'd prefer to find the diff from their common ancestor to test, you can use three dots instead of two:

The program is printing "Hey this is my first hello world ", then it is moving the cursor back to the beginning of the line. How this will look on the screen depends on your environment. It appears the beginning of the string is being overwritten by something, perhaps your command line prompt.

The comment in your code is wrong. INADDR_ANY doesn't put server's IP automatically'. It essentially puts 0.0.0.0, for the reasons explained in mark4o's answer.

The answer to this question is, perhaps surprisingly, never, or more realistically, only when you are forced to for interoperability with legacy code. This is the recommendation in Effective Java, 3rd Edition by Joshua Bloch:

There is no reason to use Java serialization in any new system you write

Oracle's chief architect, Mark Reinhold, is on record as saying removing the current Java serialization mechanism is a long-term goal.

Why Java serialization is flawed

Java provides as part of the language a serialization scheme you can opt in to, by using the Serializable interface. This scheme however has several intractable flaws and should be treated as a failed experiment by the Java language designers.

• It fundamentally pretends that one can talk about the serialized form of an object. But there are infinitely many serialization schemes, resulting in infinitely many serialized forms. By imposing one scheme, without any way of changing the scheme, applications can not use a scheme most appropriate for them.
• It is implemented as an additional means of constructing objects, which bypasses any precondition checks your constructors or factory methods perform. Unless tricky, error prone, and difficult to test extra deserialization code is written, your code probably has a gaping security weakness.
• Testing interoperability of different versions of the serialized form is very difficult.
• Handling of immutable objects is troublesome.

What to do instead

Instead, use a serialization scheme that you can explicitly control. Such as Protocol Buffers, JSON, XML, or your own custom scheme.

You need jackson dependency for this serialization and deserialization.

After that, You need to tell Jackson ObjectMapper to use JavaTimeModule. To do that, Autowire ObjectMapper in the main class and register JavaTimeModule to it.

As you are using Python 3, the module has been renamed to tkinter, as stated in the documentation:

Note Tkinter has been renamed to tkinter in Python 3. The 2to3 tool will automatically adapt imports when converting your sources to Python 3.

I was looking for the same thing since the background of my select is the same as the arrow color. As previously mentioned, it is impossible yet to add anything using :before or :after on a select element. My solution was to create a wrapper element on which I added the following :before code.

I have used FontAwesome.io for my new arrow, but you can use whatever else you want. Obviously this is not a perfect solution, but depending on your needs it might be enough.

In your case, expand columns of that database in the object explorer. Drag the columns in to the query area.

And then just delete one or two columns which you don't want and then run it. I'm open to any suggestions easier than this.

A CSS compiler like Sass or LESS is a great way to go. That way you'll be able to deliver a single, minimised CSS file for the site (which will be far smaller and faster than a normal single CSS source file), while maintaining the nicest development environment, with everything neatly split into components.

Sass and LESS have the added advantage of variables, nesting and other ways to make CSS easier to write and maintain. Highly, highly recommended. I personally use Sass (SCSS syntax) now, but used LESS previously. Both are great, with similar benefits. Once you've written CSS with a compiler, it's unlikely you'd want to do without one.
