I had similar problem. it was showing error "Missing artifact......".After digging in, I found that I have proxy settings enabled which should be configured (proxyname, user/pwd) in setting.xml inside conf folder of Maven. As a resolution go to
Eclipse....Windows->preferences->Maven->UserSettings
....and update the user setting to point the setting.xml which you have inside conf folder of Maven. After that go to Project->Update All Maven Dependencies
. It should work fine after the build.
You need to download this from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7435.
The tool is called "Microsoft URL Rewrite Module 2.0 for IIS 7" and is described as follows by Microsoft: "URL Rewrite Module 2.0 provides a rule-based rewriting mechanism for changing requested URL’s before they get processed by web server and for modifying response content before it gets served to HTTP clients"
Actually I used my script in html directly. But in javascript when you add oninput event listener for this event it gives the data automatically.You just need to assign the value as per your requirement.

You need to escape <
and &
. Escaping >
too doesn't hurt:
function magic(input) {
input = input.replace(/&/g, '&');
input = input.replace(/</g, '<');
input = input.replace(/>/g, '>');
return input;
}
Or you let the DOM engine do the dirty work for you (using jQuery because I'm lazy):
function magic(input) {
return $('<span>').text(input).html();
}
What this does is creating a dummy element, assigning your string as its textContent (i.e. no HTML-specific characters have side effects since it's just text) and then you retrieve the HTML content of that element - which is the text but with special characters converted to HTML entities in cases where it's necessary.
As was described in Orhan Obut's answer but with the changes:
<ImageView
android:layout_width="0dp" //or use your own value
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:src="@drawable/img"
android:layout_weight="75" />// in case of use of weight
to avoid stretches of the image. And img.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><layer-list xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<item android:drawable="@drawable/profile" />
<item android:drawable="@drawable/circle" /></layer-list>
(without changes), and circle.xml:
<shape xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:innerRadiusRatio="2"
android:shape="ring"
android:thickness="300dp"
android:useLevel="false">
<solid android:color="@android:color/white"/>
<stroke
android:width="2dp"
android:color="@android:color/black"/>
</shape>
here the thickness of the ring gotten maximal - 1000dp
and radiusRatio is a half of image width(max ring width, yes?) - 2
and the stroke is for required border if needed.
I used square png image ( profile.png ), btw. With same width and height.
This is correct for arbitrary ImageView dimentions.
If you go to the Flat file connection manager under Advanced and Look at the "OutputColumnWidth" description's ToolTip It will tell you that Composit characters may use more spaces. So the "é" in "Société" most likely occupies more than one character.
EDIT: Here's something about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precomposed_character
Set line-height
to the vertical size of the picture, then do vertical-align:middle
like Josh said.
so if the picture is 20px
, you would have
{
line-height:20px;
font-size:14px;
vertical-align:middle;
}
In my case, it wasn't working because I had added only one folder of the monorepo to the project, even though I had the package.json
and the extension configured. I worked only when I added the whole project (which contained the package.json
file) to the VS Code.
Here's the simplest way that I know of to do this:
final Runnable stuffToDo = new Thread() {
@Override
public void run() {
/* Do stuff here. */
}
};
final ExecutorService executor = Executors.newSingleThreadExecutor();
final Future future = executor.submit(stuffToDo);
executor.shutdown(); // This does not cancel the already-scheduled task.
try {
future.get(5, TimeUnit.MINUTES);
}
catch (InterruptedException ie) {
/* Handle the interruption. Or ignore it. */
}
catch (ExecutionException ee) {
/* Handle the error. Or ignore it. */
}
catch (TimeoutException te) {
/* Handle the timeout. Or ignore it. */
}
if (!executor.isTerminated())
executor.shutdownNow(); // If you want to stop the code that hasn't finished.
Alternatively, you can create a TimeLimitedCodeBlock class to wrap this functionality, and then you can use it wherever you need it as follows:
new TimeLimitedCodeBlock(5, TimeUnit.MINUTES) { @Override public void codeBlock() {
// Do stuff here.
}}.run();
You should use the following:
<td><input id="priceInput-{{orderLine.id}}" type="number" [(ngModel)]="orderLine.price"></td>
You will need to add the FormsModule
to your app.module
in the inputs
section as follows:
import { FormsModule } from '@angular/forms';
@NgModule({
declarations: [
...
],
imports: [
BrowserModule,
FormsModule
],
..
The use of the brackets around the ngModel
are as follows:
The []
show that it is taking an input from your TS file. This input should be a public member variable. A one way binding from TS to HTML.
The ()
show that it is taking output from your HTML file to a variable in the TS file. A one way binding from HTML to TS.
The [()]
are both (e.g. a two way binding)
See here for more information: https://angular.io/guide/template-syntax
I would also suggest replacing id="priceInput-{{orderLine.id}}"
with something like this [id]="getElementId(orderLine)"
where getElementId(orderLine)
returns the element Id in the TS file and can be used anywere you need to reference the element (to avoid simple bugs like calling it priceInput1
in one place and priceInput-1
in another. (if you still need to access the input by it's Id somewhere else)

Use oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver, not oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver. You do not need to register it if the driver jar file is in the "WEB-INF\lib" directory, if you are using Tomcat. Save this as test.jsp and put it in your web directory, and redeploy your web app folder in Tomcat manager:
<%@ page import="java.sql.*" %>

<HEAD>
<TITLE>Simple JSP Oracle Test</TITLE>
</HEAD><BODY>

Connection conn = null;
try {
Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver");
conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:XXXX:dbName", "user", "password");
Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
out.println("Connection established!");
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
out.println("Exception: " + ex.getMessage() + "");
}
finally
{
if (conn != null) {
try {
conn.close();
}
catch (Exception ignored) {
// ignore
}
}
}

You can try L&F which i am developing - WebLaF
It combines three parts required for successful UI development:
Binaries: https://github.com/mgarin/weblaf/releases
Source: https://github.com/mgarin/weblaf
Licenses: GPLv3 and Commercial
A few examples showing how some of WebLaF components look like:
Main reason why i have started with a totally new L&F is that most of existing L&F lack flexibility - you cannot re-style them in most cases (you can only change a few colors and turn on/off some UI elements in best case) and/or there are only inconvenient ways to do that. Its even worse when it comes to custom/3rd party components styling - they doesn't look similar to other components styled by some specific L&F or even totally different - that makes your application look unprofessional and unpleasant.
My goal is to provide a fully customizable L&F with a pack of additional widely-known and useful components (for example: date chooser, tree table, dockable and document panes and lots of other) and additional helpful managers and utilities, which will reduce the amount of code required to quickly integrate WebLaF into your application and help creating awesome UIs using Swing.
Here are oneliners:
$(basename "${s%.*}")
$(basename "${s}" ".${s##*.}")
I needed this, the same as asked by bongbang and w4etwetewtwet.
In my case I was using the WebBrowser control (forcing IE 11) and I could not get past the error. Switching to CefSharp which uses Chrome solved it for me.
frameLayout.addView(yourView); <----- if you are getting error on this line remove view from it's parent first
if (yourView.getParent() != null)
((ViewGroup) yourView.getParent()).removeView(yourView); frameLayout.addView(yourView); (Add view to layout)
You can use the overloaded < or > operators.
For example:
DateTime d1 = new DateTime(2008, 1, 1);
DateTime d2 = new DateTime(2008, 1, 2);
if (d1 < d2) { ...
Here is an example - accepting no parameters and returning nothing.
class CallbackTest
{
public myCallback: {(): void;};
public doWork(): void
{
//doing some work...
this.myCallback(); //calling callback
}
}
var test = new CallbackTest();
test.myCallback = () => alert("done");
test.doWork();
If you want to accept a parameter, you can add that too:
public myCallback: {(msg: string): void;};
And if you want to return a value, you can add that also:
public myCallback: {(msg: string): number;};
The proper way to do it is by using tput
or terminfo
functions to obtain terminal properties and then insert newlines according to the dimensions..

The X-Frame-Options HTTP response header can be used to indicate whether or not a browser should be allowed to render a page in a <frame>
, <iframe>
or <object>
. Sites can use this to avoid clickjacking attacks, by ensuring that their content is not embedded into other sites.
For More Information: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/X-Frame-Options
I have an alternate solution for this problem, which I am going to demonstrate by using PHP:
iframe.php:
<iframe src="target_url.php" width="925" height="2400" frameborder="0" ></iframe>
target_url.php:
<?php
echo file_get_contents("http://www.example.com");
?>
So here's what I found out.
Flush would not work under Apache's mod_gzip or Nginx's gzip because, logically, it is gzipping the content, and to do that it must buffer content to gzip it. Any sort of web server gzipping would affect this. In short, at the server side we need to disable gzip and decrease the fastcgi buffer size. So:
In php.ini:
output_buffering = Off
zlib.output_compression = Off
In nginx.conf:
gzip off;
proxy_buffering off;
Also have these lines at hand, especially if you don't have access to php.ini:
@ini_set('zlib.output_compression',0);
@ini_set('implicit_flush',1);
@ob_end_clean();
set_time_limit(0);
Last, if you have it, comment the code bellow:
ob_start('ob_gzhandler');
ob_flush();
PHP test code:
ob_implicit_flush(1);
for ($i=0; $i<10; $i++) {
echo $i;
// this is to make the buffer achieve the minimum size in order to flush data
echo str_repeat(' ',1024*64);
sleep(1);
}
The issue is that you are serializing your bean with a custom Gson
object while the application is attempting to deserialize your JSON with a Jackson ObjectMapper
(within MappingJackson2HttpMessageConverter
).
If you open up your server logs, you should see something like
Exception in thread "main" com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.exc.InvalidFormatException: Can not construct instance of java.util.Date from String value '2013-34-10-10:34:31': not a valid representation (error: Failed to parse Date value '2013-34-10-10:34:31': Can not parse date "2013-34-10-10:34:31": not compatible with any of standard forms ("yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSZ", "yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSS'Z'", "EEE, dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss zzz", "yyyy-MM-dd"))
at [Source: java.io.StringReader@baea1ed; line: 1, column: 20] (through reference chain: com.spring.Bean["publicationDate"])
among other stack traces.
One solution is to set your Gson
date format to one of the above (in the stacktrace).
The alternative is to register your own MappingJackson2HttpMessageConverter
by configuring your own ObjectMapper
to have the same date format as your Gson
.
There is also http://appyframework.org/pod.html which takes a LibreOffice or OpenOffice document as template and can generate pdf, rtf, odt ... To generate pdf it requires a headless OOo on some server. Documentation is concise but relatively complete. http://appyframework.org/podWritingTemplates.html If you need advice, the author is rather helpful.
I find this type of approach works for me:
Product ProductDetail Country ========= ================== ========= ProductId ProductDetailId CountryId - etc - ProductId CountryName CountryId Language ProductName - etc - ProductDescription - etc -
The ProductDetail table holds all the translations (for product name, description etc..) in the languages you want to support. Depending on your app's requirements, you may wish to break the Country table down to use regional languages too.
str.replace is the wrong function for what you want to do (apart from it being used incorrectly). You want to replace any character of a set with a space, not the whole set with a single space (the latter is what replace does). You can use translate like this:
removeSpecialChars = z.translate ({ord(c): " " for c in "!@#$%^&*()[]{};:,./<>?\|`~-=_+"})
This creates a mapping which maps every character in your list of special characters to a space, then calls translate() on the string, replacing every single character in the set of special characters with a space.

Although standard action results FileContentResult or FileStreamResult may be used for downloading files, for reusability, creating a custom action result might be the best solution.
As an example let's create a custom action result for exporting data to Excel files on the fly for download.
ExcelResult class inherits abstract ActionResult class and overrides the ExecuteResult method.
We are using FastMember package for creating DataTable from IEnumerable object and ClosedXML package for creating Excel file from the DataTable.
public class ExcelResult<T> : ActionResult
{
private DataTable dataTable;
private string fileName;
public ExcelResult(IEnumerable<T> data, string filename, string[] columns)
{
this.dataTable = new DataTable();
using (var reader = ObjectReader.Create(data, columns))
{
dataTable.Load(reader);
}
this.fileName = filename;
}
public override void ExecuteResult(ControllerContext context)
{
if (context != null)
{
var response = context.HttpContext.Response;
response.Clear();
response.ContentType = "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet";
response.AddHeader("content-disposition", string.Format(@"attachment;filename=""{0}""", fileName));
using (XLWorkbook wb = new XLWorkbook())
{
wb.Worksheets.Add(dataTable, "Sheet1");
using (MemoryStream stream = new MemoryStream())
{
wb.SaveAs(stream);
response.BinaryWrite(stream.ToArray());
}
}
}
}
}
In the Controller use the custom ExcelResult action result as follows
[HttpGet]
public async Task<ExcelResult<MyViewModel>> ExportToExcel()
{
var model = new Models.MyDataModel();
var items = await model.GetItems();
string[] columns = new string[] { "Column1", "Column2", "Column3" };
string filename = "mydata.xlsx";
return new ExcelResult<MyViewModel>(items, filename, columns);
}
Since we are downloading the file using HttpGet, create an empty View without model and empty layout.

You should check type of received parameters. Maybe you should use arguments
array since second parameter can sometimes be 'parameters' and sometimes 'callback' and naming it parameters might be misleading.

You can use both javascript methods repeat() and split() together.
" ".repeat(10).split(" ")
This code will create an array that has 10 item and each item is empty string.
const items = " ".repeat(10).split(" ")
document.getElementById("context").innerHTML = items.map((item, index) => index)
console.log("items: ", items)

Your document does not contain any element with class content-nav
, thus the method .offset()
returns undefined which indeed has no top
property.
You can see for yourself in this fiddle
alert($('.content-nav').offset());
(you will see "undefined")
To avoid crashing the whole code, you can have such code instead:
var top = ($('.content-nav').offset() || { "top": NaN }).top;
if (isNaN(top)) {
alert("something is wrong, no top");
} else {
alert(top);
}
<?php echo substr($string, 0, strlen($string) - 3); ?>
Another way to phrase the same idea:
If speeding up the CPU doesn't speed up your program, it may be I/O bound.
If speeding up the I/O (e.g. using a faster disk) doesn't help, your program may be CPU bound.
(I used "may be" because you need to take other resources into account. Memory is one example.)
In python2, NoneType is the type of None. In Python3 NoneType is the class of None, for example:
>>> print(type(None)) #Python2
<type 'NoneType'> #In Python2 the type of None is the 'NoneType' type.
>>> print(type(None)) #Python3
<class 'NoneType'> #In Python3, the type of None is the 'NoneType' class.
for a in None:
print("k") #TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not iterable
def foo():
print("k")
a, b = foo() #TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not iterable
a = None
print(a is None) #prints True
print(a is not None) #prints False
print(a == None) #prints True
print(a != None) #prints False
print(isinstance(a, object)) #prints True
print(isinstance(a, str)) #prints False
Guido says only use is

is more robust to identity checking. Don't use equality operations because those can spit bubble-up implementationitis of their own. Python's Coding Style Guidelines - PEP-008
import sys
b = lambda x : sys.stdout.write("k")

Python's interpreter converted your code to pyc bytecode. The Python virtual machine processed the bytecode, it encountered a looping construct which said iterate over a variable containing None. The operation was performed by invoking the __iter__
method on the None.
None has no __iter__
method defined, so Python's virtual machine tells you what it sees: that NoneType has no __iter__
method.
This is why Python's duck-typing ideology is considered bad. The programmer does something completely reasonable with a variable and at runtime it gets contaminated by None, the python virtual machine attempts to soldier on, and pukes up a bunch of unrelated nonsense all over the carpet.
Java or C++ doesn't have these problems because such a program wouldn't be allowed to compile since you haven't defined what to do when None occurs. Python gives the programmer lots of rope to hang himself by allowing you to do lots of things that should cannot be expected to work under exceptional circumstances. Python is a yes-man, saying yes-sir when it out to be stopping you from harming yourself, like Java and C++ does.
You want to create a class that implements ResponseErrorHandler
and then use an instance of it to set the error handling of your rest template:
public class MyErrorHandler implements ResponseErrorHandler {
@Override
public void handleError(ClientHttpResponse response) throws IOException {
// your error handling here
}
@Override
public boolean hasError(ClientHttpResponse response) throws IOException {
...
}
}
[...]
public static void main(String args[]) {
RestTemplate restTemplate = new RestTemplate();
restTemplate.setErrorHandler(new MyErrorHandler());
}
Also, Spring has the class DefaultResponseErrorHandler
, which you can extend instead of implementing the interface, in case you only want to override the handleError
method.
public class MyErrorHandler extends DefaultResponseErrorHandler {
@Override
public void handleError(ClientHttpResponse response) throws IOException {
// your error handling here
}
}
Take a look at its source code to have an idea of how Spring handles HTTP errors.
Lots of good answers here, just out of curiosity after looking into this today, is it not best to use setInterval

location.reload();
}, 30000);

Many people will suggest you use MERGE
, but I caution you against it. By default, it doesn't protect you from concurrency and race conditions any more than multiple statements, but it does introduce other dangers:
http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/3074/use-caution-with-sql-servers-merge-statement/
Even with this "simpler" syntax available, I still prefer this approach (error handling omitted for brevity):
SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL SERIALIZABLE;
BEGIN TRANSACTION;
UPDATE dbo.table SET ... WHERE PK = @PK;
IF @@ROWCOUNT = 0
BEGIN
INSERT dbo.table(PK, ...) SELECT @PK, ...;
END
COMMIT TRANSACTION;
A lot of folks will suggest this way:
SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL SERIALIZABLE;
BEGIN TRANSACTION;
IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM dbo.table WHERE PK = @PK)
BEGIN
UPDATE ...
END
ELSE
BEGIN
INSERT ...
END
COMMIT TRANSACTION;
But all this accomplishes is ensuring you may need to read the table twice to locate the row(s) to be updated. In the first sample, you will only ever need to locate the row(s) once. (In both cases, if no rows are found from the initial read, an insert occurs.)
Others will suggest this way:
BEGIN TRY
INSERT ...
END TRY
BEGIN CATCH
IF ERROR_NUMBER() = 2627
UPDATE ...
END CATCH
However, this is problematic if for no other reason than letting SQL Server catch exceptions that you could have prevented in the first place is much more expensive, except in the rare scenario where almost every insert fails. I prove as much here:
Not sure what you think you gain by having a single statement; I don't think you gain anything. MERGE
is a single statement but it still has to really perform multiple operations anyway - even though it makes you think it doesn't.

Can be done using numpy where() function:
import pandas as pd
import numpy as np
In [716]: df = pd.DataFrame({"gene_name": ['SLC45A1', 'NECAP2', 'CLIC4', 'ADC', 'AGBL4'] , "BoolCol": [False, True, False, True, True] },
index=list("abcde"))
In [717]: df
Out[717]:
BoolCol gene_name
a False SLC45A1
b True NECAP2
c False CLIC4
d True ADC
e True AGBL4
In [718]: np.where(df["BoolCol"] == True)
Out[718]: (array([1, 3, 4]),)
In [719]: select_indices = list(np.where(df["BoolCol"] == True)[0])
In [720]: df.iloc[select_indices]
Out[720]:
BoolCol gene_name
b True NECAP2
d True ADC
e True AGBL4
Though you don't always need index for a match, but incase if you need:
In [796]: df.iloc[select_indices].index
Out[796]: Index([u'b', u'd', u'e'], dtype='object')
In [797]: df.iloc[select_indices].index.tolist()
Out[797]: ['b', 'd', 'e']

Create a complete bundle with:
$ git bundle create <filename> --all
Restore it with:
$ git clone <filename> <folder>
This operation is atomic AFAIK. Check official docs for the gritty details.
Regarding "zip": git bundles are compressed and surprisingly small compared to the .git folder size.
summation
and your other functions are defined after they're used in main
, and so the compiler has made a guess about it's signature; in other words, an implicit declaration has been assumed.
You should declare the function before it's used and get rid of the warning. In the C99 specification, this is an error.
Either move the function bodies before main
, or include method signatures before main
, e.g.:
#include <stdio.h>
int summation(int *, int *, int *);
int main()
{

As others have answered, there is no current way to add maxlength directly to a CSS class.
However, this creative solution can achieve what you are looking for.
I have the jQuery in a file named maxLengths.js which I reference in site (site.master for ASP)
run the snippet to see it in action, works well.
jquery, css, html:
$(function () {_x000D_
$(".maxLenAddress1").keypress(function (event) {_x000D_
_x000D_
if ($(this).val().length == 5) { /* obv 5 is too small for an address field, just want to use as an example though */_x000D_
return false;_x000D_
} else {_x000D_
return true;_x000D_
}_x000D_
_x000D_
});_x000D_
});
_x000D_
.maxLenAddress1{} /* this is here mostly for intellisense usage, but can be altered if you like */
_x000D_
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js"></script>_x000D_
_x000D_
<input type="text" class="maxLenAddress1" />
_x000D_
The advantage of using this: if it is decided the max length for this type of field needs to be pushed out or in across your entire application you can change it in one spot. Comes in handy for field lengths for things like customer codes, full name fields, email fields, any field common across your application.
You may want to also look into using Task
instead of background workers.
The easiest way to do this is in your example is Task.Run(InitializationThread);
.
There are several benefits to using tasks instead of background workers. For example, the new async/await features in .net 4.5 use Task
for threading. Here is some documentation about Task
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.threading.tasks.task
if you really want to loop over the env
list just do:
def envs = sh(returnStdout: true, script: 'env').split('\n')
envs.each { name ->
println "Name: $name"
}
encodeURI
and encodeURIComponent
:encodeURIComponent(value)
is mainly used to encode queryString parameter values, and it encodes every applicable character in value
. encodeURI
ignores protocol prefix (http://
) and domain name.
In very, very rare cases, when you want to implement manual encoding to encode additional characters (though they don't need to be encoded in typical cases) like: ! *
, then
you might use:
function fixedEncodeURIComponent(str) {
return encodeURIComponent(str).replace(/[!*]/g, function(c) {
return '%' + c.charCodeAt(0).toString(16);
});
}
(source)
This is the cleanest and most elegant/simple way to get a solution here.

Using a collection initializer
From C# 3, you can use collection initializers to construct a List and populate it using a single expression. The following example constructs a Human and its ContactNumbers:
var human = new Human(1, "Address", "Name") {
ContactNumbers = new List<ContactNumber>() {
new ContactNumber(1),
new ContactNumber(2),
new ContactNumber(3)
}
}
Specializing the Human
constructor
You can change the constructor of the Human
class to provide a way to populate the ContactNumbers
property:
public class Human
{
public Human(int id, string address, string name, IEnumerable<ContactNumber> contactNumbers) : this(id, address, name)
{
ContactNumbers = new List<ContactNumber>(contactNumbers);
}
public Human(int id, string address, string name, params ContactNumber[] contactNumbers) : this(id, address, name)
{
ContactNumbers = new List<ContactNumber>(contactNumbers);
}
}
// Using the first constructor:
List<ContactNumber> numbers = List<ContactNumber>() {
new ContactNumber(1),
new ContactNumber(2),
new ContactNumber(3)
};
var human = new Human(1, "Address", "Name", numbers);
// Using the second constructor:
var human = new Human(1, "Address", "Name",
new ContactNumber(1),
new ContactNumber(2),
new ContactNumber(3)
);
Bottom line
Which alternative is a best practice? Or at least a good practice? You judge it! IMO, the best practice is to write the program as clearly as possible to anyone who has to read it. Using the collection initializer is a winner for me, in this case. With much less code, it can do almost the same things as the alternatives -- at least, the alternatives I gave...

If you want examples of Algorithms/Group of Statements with Time complexity as given in the question, here is a small list -
O(1)
timeO(n)
timeIn a nutshell, all Brute Force Algorithms, or Noob ones which require linearity, are based on O(n) time complexity
O(log n)
timeO(n log n)
timeThe factor of 'log n' is introduced by bringing into consideration Divide and Conquer. Some of these algorithms are the best optimized ones and used frequently.
O(n^2)
timeThese ones are supposed to be the less efficient algorithms if their O(nlogn) counterparts are present. The general application may be Brute Force here.
The common way is the format()
function:
>>> s = "This is an {example} with {vars}".format(vars="variables", example="example")
>>> s
'This is an example with variables'
It works fine with a multi-line format string:
>>> s = '''\
... This is a {length} example.
... Here is a {ordinal} line.\
... '''.format(length='multi-line', ordinal='second')
>>> print(s)
This is a multi-line example.
Here is a second line.
You can also pass a dictionary with variables:
>>> d = { 'vars': "variables", 'example': "example" }
>>> s = "This is an {example} with {vars}"
>>> s.format(**d)
'This is an example with variables'
The closest thing to what you asked (in terms of syntax) are template strings. For example:
>>> from string import Template
>>> t = Template("This is an $example with $vars")
>>> t.substitute({ 'example': "example", 'vars': "variables"})
'This is an example with variables'
I should add though that the format()
function is more common because it's readily available and it does not require an import line.
I was getting the error : CryptographicException 'Keyset does not exist' when i run the MVC application.

defined global variables for fragment:
private final Object attachingActivityLock = new Object();
private boolean syncVariable = false;
implemented
@Override public void onAttach(Activity activity) { super.onAttach(activity); synchronized (attachingActivityLock) { syncVariable = true; attachingActivityLock.notifyAll(); } }
3 . I wrapped up my function, where I need to call getActivity(), in thread, because if it would run on main thread, i would block the thread with the step 4. and onAttach() would never be called.
Thread processImage = new Thread(new Runnable() {
@Override
public void run() {
processImage();
}
});
processImage.start();
4 . in my function where I need to call getActivity(), I use this (before the call getActivity())
synchronized (attachingActivityLock) {
while(!syncVariable){
try {
attachingActivityLock.wait();
} catch (InterruptedException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
}
If you have some UI updates, remember to run them on UI thread. I need to update ImgeView so I did:
image.post(new Runnable() {
@Override
public void run() {
image.setImageBitmap(imageToShow);
}
});

The short version is: The efficient way to use readlines()
is to not use it. Ever.
I read some doc notes on
readlines()
, where people has claimed that thisreadlines()
reads whole file content into memory and hence generally consumes more memory compared to readline() or read().
The documentation for readlines()
explicitly guarantees that it reads the whole file into memory, and parses it into lines, and builds a list
full of str
ings out of those lines.
But the documentation for read()
likewise guarantees that it reads the whole file into memory, and builds a str
ing, so that doesn't help.
On top of using more memory, this also means you can't do any work until the whole thing is read. If you alternate reading and processing in even the most naive way, you will benefit from at least some pipelining (thanks to the OS disk cache, DMA, CPU pipeline, etc.), so you will be working on one batch while the next batch is being read. But if you force the computer to read the whole file in, then parse the whole file, then run your code, you only get one region of overlapping work for the entire file, instead of one region of overlapping work per read.
You can work around this in three ways:
readlines(sizehint)
, read(size)
, or readline()
.mmap
the file, which allows you to treat it as a giant string without first reading it in.For example, this has to read all of foo
at once:
with open('foo') as f:
lines = f.readlines()
for line in lines:
pass
But this only reads about 8K at a time:
with open('foo') as f:
while True:
lines = f.readlines(8192)
if not lines:
break
for line in lines:
pass
And this only reads one line at a time—although Python is allowed to (and will) pick a nice buffer size to make things faster.
with open('foo') as f:
while True:
line = f.readline()
if not line:
break
pass
And this will do the exact same thing as the previous:
with open('foo') as f:
for line in f:
pass
Meanwhile:
but should the garbage collector automatically clear that loaded content from memory at the end of my loop, hence at any instant my memory should have only the contents of my currently processed file right ?
Python doesn't make any such guarantees about garbage collection.
The CPython implementation happens to use refcounting for GC, which means that in your code, as soon as file_content
gets rebound or goes away, the giant list of strings, and all of the strings within it, will be freed to the freelist, meaning the same memory can be reused again for your next pass.
However, all those allocations, copies, and deallocations aren't free—it's much faster to not do them than to do them.
On top of that, having your strings scattered across a large swath of memory instead of reusing the same small chunk of memory over and over hurts your cache behavior.
Plus, while the memory usage may be constant (or, rather, linear in the size of your largest file, rather than in the sum of your file sizes), that rush of malloc
s to expand it the first time will be one of the slowest things you do (which also makes it much harder to do performance comparisons).
Putting it all together, here's how I'd write your program:

with open(filename, 'rb') as f:
if filename.endswith(".gz"):
f = gzip.open(fileobj=f)
words = (line.split(delimiter) for line in f)

Or, maybe:
for filename in os.listdir(input_dir):
if filename.endswith(".gz"):
f = gzip.open(filename, 'rb')
else:
f = open(filename, 'rb')
with contextlib.closing(f):
words = (line.split(delimiter) for line in f)
... my logic ...

If you open your resource file and change the access modifier to public or internal it will generate a class from your resource file which allows you to create strongly typed resource references.
Which means you can do something like this instead (using C# 6.0). Then you dont have to remember if firstname was lowercased or camelcased. And you can see if other properties use the same resource value with a find all references.
[Display(Name = nameof(PropertyNames.FirstName), ResourceType = typeof(PropertyNames))]
public string FirstName { get; set; }
I wrote a class to handle this, as it seems to be a recurring need in my various projects:
https://github.com/koush/UrlImageViewHelper
UrlImageViewHelper will fill an ImageView with an image that is found at a URL.
The sample will do a Google Image Search and load/show the results asynchronously.
UrlImageViewHelper will automatically download, save, and cache all the image urls the BitmapDrawables. Duplicate urls will not be loaded into memory twice. Bitmap memory is managed by using a weak reference hash table, so as soon as the image is no longer used by you, it will be garbage collected automatically.
Create an new Style with any name, in my case "Theme.Alert.NoActionBar"
<style name="Theme.Alert.NoActionBar" parent="Theme.AppCompat.Dialog">
<item name="windowNoTitle">true</item>
<item name="windowActionBar">false</item>
</style>
set its parent as "Theme.AppCompat.Dialog" like in the above code
open AndoridManifest.xml and customize the activity you want to show as Alert Dialog like this
<activity
android:excludeFromRecents="true"
android:theme="@style/Theme.Alert.NoActionBar"
android:name=".activities.UserLoginActivity" />
in my app i want show my user login activity as Alert Dialog, these are the codes i used. hope this works for you!!!
LinkedIn has updated their api and the sharing url's no longer works. Now you can only use the url
query parameter. Any other parameter is going to be removed from the url by LinkedIn.
Now you're forced to use oAuth and interact with the linkedin API to share content on behalf of a user.
What about using the following:
int number = input.nextInt();
if (number < 0) {
// negative
} else {
// it's a positive
}
also if you need to select a sibling with a name rather than the class, you could use the following
var $sibling = $(this).siblings('input[name=bidbutton]');
jQuery recently started using source maps.
For example, let's look at the minified jQuery 2.0.3 file's first few lines.
/*! jQuery v2.0.3 | (c) 2005, 2013 jQuery Foundation, Inc. | jquery.org/license
//@ sourceMappingURL=jquery.min.map
*/
Excerpt from Introduction to JavaScript Source Maps:
Have you ever found yourself wishing you could keep your client-side code readable and more importantly debuggable even after you've combined and minified it, without impacting performance? Well now you can through the magic of source maps.
Basically it's a way to map a combined/minified file back to an unbuilt state. When you build for production, along with minifying and combining your JavaScript files, you generate a source map which holds information about your original files. When you query a certain line and column number in your generated JavaScript you can do a lookup in the source map which returns the original location. Developer tools (currently WebKit nightly builds, Google Chrome, or Firefox 23+) can parse the source map automatically and make it appear as though you're running unminified and uncombined files.
emphasis mine
It's incredibly useful, and will only download if the user opens dev tools.
Remove the source mapping line, or do nothing. It isn't really a problem.
Side note: your server should return 404, not 500. It could point to a security problem if this happens in production.
I noticed that in netbeans Apache configuration in the servers tab. you can state the platform for your web application. I changed to 1.8 and it worked fine. (I am targeting java 8 platform in my application). Hope that might t help.
http://www.scipy.org/Tentative_NumPy_Tutorial#head-6a1bc005bd80e1b19f812e1e64e0d25d50f99fe2
NumPy's main object is the homogeneous multidimensional array. In Numpy dimensions are called axes. The number of axes is rank. Numpy's array class is called ndarray. It is also known by the alias array. The more important attributes of an ndarray object are:
ndarray.ndim
the number of axes (dimensions) of the array. In the Python world, the number of dimensions is referred to as rank.ndarray.shape
the dimensions of the array. This is a tuple of integers indicating the size of the array in each dimension. For a matrix with n rows and m columns, shape will be (n,m). The length of the shape tuple is therefore the rank, or number of dimensions, ndim.ndarray.size
the total number of elements of the array. This is equal to the product of the elements of shape.
The answer is "All of them". A java array is allocated with a fixed number of element slots. The "length" attribute will tell you how many. That number is immutable for the life of the array. For a resizable equivalent, you need one of the java.util.List classes - where you can use the size() method to find out how many elements are in use.
However, there's "In use" and then there's In Use. In an class object array, you can have element slots whose elements are null objects, so even though they count in the length attribute, but most people's definitions, they're not in use (YMMV, depending on the application). There's no builtin function for returning the null/non-null counts.
List objects have yet another definition of "In Use". To avoid excessive creation/destruction of the underlying storage structures, there's typically some padding in these classes. It's used internally, but isn't counted in the returned size() method. And if you attempt to access those items without expanding the List (via the add methods), you'll get an illegal index exception.
So for Lists, you can have "In Use" for non-null, committed elements, All committed elements (including null elements), or All elements, including the expansion space presently allocated.
I have 2 alarms. I am using intent with extras instead of action to identify the events:
Intent i = new Intent(context, AppReciever.class);
i.putExtra("timer", "timer1");
the thing is that with diff extras the intent (and the alarm) wont be unique. So to able to identify which alarm is active or not, I had to define diff requestCode
-s:
boolean alarmUp = (PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, MyApp.TIMER_1, i,
PendingIntent.FLAG_NO_CREATE) != null);
and here is how alarm was created:
public static final int TIMER_1 = 1;
public static final int TIMER_2 = 2;
PendingIntent pending = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, TIMER_1, i,
PendingIntent.FLAG_CANCEL_CURRENT);
setInexactRepeating(AlarmManager.RTC_WAKEUP,
cal.getTimeInMillis(), AlarmManager.INTERVAL_DAY, pending);
pending = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, TIMER_2, i,
PendingIntent.FLAG_CANCEL_CURRENT);
setInexactRepeating(AlarmManager.RTC_WAKEUP,
cal.getTimeInMillis(), AlarmManager.INTERVAL_DAY, pending);
... is syntax for variadic arguments.
I think it is implemented by the complier using slice ([]Type)
, just like the function append :
func append(slice []Type, elems ...Type) []Type
when you use "elems" in "append", actually it is a slice([]type).
So "a = append(a[:0], a[1:]...)
" means "a = append(a[0:0], a[1:])
"
a[0:0]
is a slice which has nothing
a[1:]
is "Hello2 Hello3"
This is how it works
If you are using postgres use text wherever you can, unless you have a size constraint since there is no performance penalty for text vs varchar
There is no performance difference among these three types, apart from increased storage space when using the blank-padded type, and a few extra CPU cycles to check the length when storing into a length-constrained column. While character(n) has performance advantages in some other database systems, there is no such advantage in PostgreSQL; in fact character(n) is usually the slowest of the three because of its additional storage costs. In most situations text or character varying should be used instead
Use the \
character to escape a character that has special meaning inside a regular expression.
To automate it, you could use this:
function escapeRegExp(text) {
return text.replace(/[-[\]{}()*+?.,\\^$|#\s]/g, '\\$&');
}
Update: There is now a proposal to standardize this method, possibly in ES2016: https://github.com/benjamingr/RegExp.escape
Update: The abovementioned proposal was rejected, so keep implementing this yourself if you need it.

There is no portable way to read raw characters from a Java console.
Some platform-dependent workarounds have been presented above. But to be really portable, you'd have to abandon console mode and use a windowing mode, e.g. AWT or Swing.

android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:background="#ff0000">
<Button

android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_width="124dip"
android:layout_marginTop="5dip"
android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"/>
</RelativeLayout>
You could use the newly released Chrome Frame plugin for IE, but it requires that the HTML 5 website includes the special meta tag that enables the plugin.
http://code.google.com/chrome/chromeframe/
Chrome Frame seems to use Explore Canvas (excanvas.js).
It happens if you change your login or password of git service account (GitHub or GitLab, Bitbacket, etc). You need to change it in Windows Credentials Manager too.
So, type "Credential Manager" (rus. "????????? ??????? ??????") in Windows Search menu and go to your git service account and change data too.
Now this is a very old thread i've come across but as many have pushed their answer's, here is mine in a hope to help someone with this simple code.

for (var i = count = 0; i < search_value.length; count += (search_value[i++] == letter));_x000D_
console.log(count);

I'm not sure if it is the fastest solution but i preferred it for simplicity and for not using regex (i just don't like using them!)
I think you're making this a bit more complicated than it needs to be.

You can specify the latest version of ruby by looking at https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/downloads/
Fetch the latest version:
curl -sSL https://get.rvm.io | bash -s stable --ruby
Install it:
rvm install 2.2
Use it as default:
rvm use 2.2 --default
Or run the latest command from ruby:
rvm install ruby --latest
rvm use 2.2 --default
if you want to filter the tuples you can use on this way:
select distinct (case a > b then (a,b) else (b,a) end) from pairs
the good stuff is you don't have to use group by.
select * from (select top 6 * from vwTable order by Hours desc) T order by Hours
Using the textwrap module:
import textwrap
def wrap(s, w):
return textwrap.fill(s, w)
:return str:
Inspired by Alexander's Answer
def wrap(s, w):
return [s[i:i + w] for i in range(0, len(s), w)]
import re
def wrap(s, w):
sre = re.compile(rf'(.{{{w}}})')
return [x for x in re.split(sre, s) if x]
You should inject a startup script that will close the page after the postback has finished.
ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(typeof(Page), "closePage", "<script type='text/JavaScript'>window.close();</script>");
You can use concatenation operator and instead of declaring two variables only use one variable
String finalString = cursor.getString(numcol) + cursor.getString(cursor.getColumnIndexOrThrow(db.KEY_DESTINATIE));
The approach I have taken is to just throw exceptions from the api controller actions and have an exception filter registered that processes the exception and sets an appropriate response on the action execution context.
The filter exposes a fluent interface that provides a means of registering handlers for specific types of exceptions prior to registering the filter with global configuration.
The use of this filter enables centralized exception handling instead of spreading it across the controller actions. There are however cases where I will catch exceptions within the controller action and return a specific response if it does not make sense to centralize the handling of that particular exception.
Example registration of filter:
GlobalConfiguration.Configuration.Filters.Add(
new UnhandledExceptionFilterAttribute()
.Register<KeyNotFoundException>(HttpStatusCode.NotFound)
.Register<SecurityException>(HttpStatusCode.Forbidden)
.Register<SqlException>(
(exception, request) =>
{
var sqlException = exception as SqlException;
if (sqlException.Number > 50000)
{
var response = request.CreateResponse(HttpStatusCode.BadRequest);
response.ReasonPhrase = sqlException.Message.Replace(Environment.NewLine, String.Empty);
return response;
}
else
{
return request.CreateResponse(HttpStatusCode.InternalServerError);
}
}
)
);

Your question asks about "unix shell scripting", but is tagged bash
. Those are two different answers.
The POSIX specification for shells does not have anything to say about arrays, as the original Bourne shell did not support them. Even today, on FreeBSD, Ubuntu Linux, and many other systems, /bin/sh
does not have array support. So if you want your script to work in different Bourne-compatible shells, you shouldn't use them. Alternatively, if you are assuming a specific shell, then be sure to put its full name in the shebang line, e.g. #!/usr/bin/env bash
.
If you are using bash or zsh, or a modern version of ksh, you can create an array like this:
myArray=(first "second element" 3rd)
and access elements like this
$ echo "${myArray[1]}"
second element
You can get all the elements via "${myArray[@]}"
. You can use the slice notation ${array[@]:start:length} to restrict the portion of the array referenced, e.g. "${myArray[@]:1}"
to leave off the first element.
The length of the array is ${#myArray[@]}
. You can get a new array containing all the indexes from an existing array with "${!myArray[@]}"
.
Older versions of ksh before ksh93 also had arrays, but not the parenthesis-based notation, nor did they support slicing. You could create an array like this, though:
set -A myArray -- first "second element" 3rd
Actually isset just check if the variable sets or not.In this case if you want to check if your variable is really zero or empty you can use this example:
$myVar = '';
if (empty($myVar))
{
echo "Its empty";
}
echo "<br/>";
if ($myVar===0)
{
echo "also zero!";
}
just for notice $myVar==0 act like empty function.
You can also use formatDate
let formattedDt = formatDate(new Date(), 'yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ssZZZZZ', 'en_US')
for multiple classes situation, as @jbojcic mentioned above, you can use:
host: {class: 'A B C'}
I do it using HttpClient
from System.Net.Http
:
public static string PublicIPAddress()
{
string uri = "http://checkip.dyndns.org/";
string ip = String.Empty;
using (var client = new HttpClient())
{
var result = client.GetAsync(uri).Result.Content.ReadAsStringAsync().Result;
ip = result.Split(':')[1].Split('<')[0];
}
return ip;
}
you need to reconfigure your tnsnames.ora so that it can point to your hostname after that listener will be able to pick the new hostname. after which check the status of your listener lsnrctl status and start listener lsnrctl start then register your listener. Alter system register
I had a similar problem using Tomcat against Oracle. I DID have the context.xml in the META-INF directory, on the disc. This file was not showing in the eclipse project though. A simple hit on the F5 refresh and the context.xml file appeared and eclipse published it. Everything worked past that. Hope this helps someone.
Try hitting F5 in eclipse
You can try this:
input[type='text'] {
background-image: url(images/comment-author.gif);
background-position: 7px 7px;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
int x = 4<5;
Completely portable. Standard conformant. bool
to int
conversion is implicit!
§4.7/4 from the C++ Standard says (Integral Conversion)
If the source type is bool, the value
false
is converted to zero and the valuetrue
is converted to one.
As for C, as far as I know there is no bool
in C. (before 1999) So bool
to int
conversion is relevant in C++ only. In C, 4<5
evaluates to int
value, in this case the value is 1
, 4>5
would evaluate to 0
.
EDIT: Jens in the comment said, C99 has _Bool
type. bool
is a macro defined in stdbool.h
header file. true
and false
are also macro defined in stdbool.h
.
§7.16 from C99 says,
The macro
bool
expands to _Bool.[..]
true
which expands to the integer constant1
,false
which expands to the integer constant0
,[..]
First, you need the $
to access "myFold"'s value to make the code in the question work:
cd "$myFold"
To simplify this you create an alias in ~/.bashrc
:
alias cdmain='cd ~/Files/Scripts/Main'
Don't forget to source the .bashrc
once to make the alias become available in the current bash session:
source ~/.bashrc
Now you can change to the folder using:
cdmain
Pretty sad, eh? The way I usually do it is build up a container of iterators instead of deleting during traversal. Then loop through the container and use map.erase()
std::map<K,V> map;
std::list< std::map<K,V>::iterator > iteratorList;
for(auto i : map ){
if ( needs_removing(i)){
iteratorList.push_back(i);
}
}
for(auto i : iteratorList){
map.erase(*i)
}
Slight modification of this answer that seems to work well.
Function
function roundToStep(value, stepParam) {
var step = stepParam || 1.0;
var inv = 1.0 / step;
return Math.round(value * inv) / inv;
}
Usage
roundToStep(2.55) = 3
roundToStep(2.55, 0.1) = 2.6
roundToStep(2.55, 0.01) = 2.55
Normally there's no need for that. First of all

If your purpose is to determine the maximum size of an int in C when compiled the same way Python was, you can use the struct module to find out:

If you are curious about the internal implementation details of Python 3 int objects, Look at sys.int_info

Another handy aspect of @Valid not mentioned above is that (ie: using Postman to test an endpoint) @Valid will format the output of an incorrect REST call into formatted JSON instead of a blob of barely readable text. This is very useful if you are creating a commercially consumable API for your users.
To add new ViewController
once you have have an existing ViewController

Click on background of Main.storyboard

Search and select ViewController
from object library at the
utility window.
Drag and drop it in background to create a new ViewController

Object doesn't support this property or method.
Think of it like if anything after the dot is called on an object. It's like a chain.
An object is a class instance. A class instance supports some properties defined in that class type definition. It exposes whatever intelli-sense in VBE tells you (there are some hidden members but it's not related to this). So after each dot .
you get intelli-sense (that white dropdown) trying to help you pick the correct action.
(you can start either way - front to back or back to front, once you understand how this works you'll be able to identify where the problem occurs)
Type this much anywhere in your code area
Dim a As Worksheets
a.
you get help from VBE, it's a little dropdown called Intelli-sense
It lists all available actions that particular object exposes to any user. You can't see the .Selection
member of the Worksheets()
class. That's what the error tells you exactly.
Object doesn't support this property or method.
If you look at the example on MSDN
Worksheets("GRA").Activate
iAreaCount = Selection.Areas.Count
It activates
the sheet first then calls the Selection...
it's not connected together because Selection
is not a member of Worksheets()
class. Simply, you can't prefix the Selection
What about
Sub DisplayColumnCount()
Dim iAreaCount As Integer
Dim i As Integer
Worksheets("GRA").Activate
iAreaCount = Selection.Areas.Count
If iAreaCount <= 1 Then
MsgBox "The selection contains " & Selection.Columns.Count & " columns."
Else
For i = 1 To iAreaCount
MsgBox "Area " & i & " of the selection contains " & _
Selection.Areas(i).Columns.Count & " columns."
Next i
End If
End Sub

If you are not allowed to change the buffer limit at the server level, you will need to use the <%Response.Buffer = False%> method.
HOWEVER, if you are still getting this error and have a large table on the page, the culprit may be table itself. By design, some versions of Internet Explorer will buffer the entire content between before it is rendered to the page. So even if you are telling the page to not buffer the content, the table element may be buffered and causing this error.
Some alternate solutions may be to paginate the table results, but if you must display the entire table and it has thousands of rows, throw this line of code in the middle of the table generation loop: <% Response.Flush %>. For speed considerations, you may also want to consider adding a basic counter so that the flush only happens every 25 or 100 lines or so.
Drawbacks of not buffering the output:

If url contains a certen string, redirect to index.php . You need to match against the %{REQUEST_URI} variable to check if the url contains a certen string.
To redirect example.com/foo/bar to /index.php if the uri contains bar anywhere in the uri string , you can use this :
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} bar
RewriteRule ^ /index.php [L,R]

Why not use an object1?
var dict = { "a": 1, "b": 2, "c": 3 };
Then you can update it like so
dict.a = 23;
or
dict["a"] = 23;
If you wan't to delete2 a particular key, it's as simple as:
delete dict.a;

I made a node module to automate this task: mddir
node mddir "../relative/path/"
To install: npm install mddir -g
To generate markdown for current directory: mddir
To generate for any absolute path: mddir /absolute/path
To generate for a relative path: mddir ~/Documents/whatever.
The md file gets generated in your working directory.
Currently ignores node_modules, and .git folders.
If you receive the error 'node\r: No such file or directory', the issue is that your operating system uses different line endings and mddir can't parse them without you explicitly setting the line ending style to Unix. This usually affects Windows, but also some versions of Linux. Setting line endings to Unix style has to be performed within the mddir npm global bin folder.
Get npm bin folder path with:
npm config get prefix
Cd into that folder
brew install dos2unix
dos2unix lib/node_modules/mddir/src/mddir.js
This converts line endings to Unix instead of Dos
Then run as normal with: node mddir "../relative/path/".

let data = '';
// A chunk of data has been received.

https.get(url.format(requestUrl), (resp) => { ......
I had the same issue! I was unable to change/set the ID attribute of elements. It worked in all other browsers but not IE. It probably isn't relevant to your problem but here is what I ended up doing:
Background
I was building an MVC site with jquery tabs. I wanted to create tabs dynamically and do an AJAX postback to the server saving the tab in the database. I wanted to use a unique identifier, in the form of an int, for the tabs so I wouldn't get in to trouble if a user created two tabs with the same name. I then used the unique ID to identify the tabs like:
<ul>
<li><a href='#{href}'>#{label}</a> <span class='ui-icon ui-icon-close'>Remove List</span></li>
<ul>
When I then implemented the remove functions on the tabs the callback uses the index, witch is 0 based. Then I had no way to sending back the unique ID to the server to trash the DB entry. The callback for the tabremove event gives the jquery event and ui parameters. With one line of code I could get the ID of the span:
var dbIndex = event.currentTarget.id;
The problem was that the span tag didn't have any ID. So in the create callback I tried to set the ID buy extracting the ID from the a href like this:
ui.tab.parentNode.id = ui.tab.href.substring(ui.tab.href.indexOf('#list-') + 6);
That worked fine in FireFox but not in IE. So I tried a few other:
//ui.tab.parentNode.setAttribute('id', ui.tab.href.substring(ui.tab.href.indexOf('#list-') + 6));
//$(ui.tab.parentNode).attr({'id':ui.tab.href.substring(ui.tab.href.indexOf('#list-') + 6)});
//ui.tab.parentNode.id.value = ui.tab.href.substring(ui.tab.href.indexOf('#list-') + 6);
None of them worked! So after a few hours of test and Googeling I gave up and draw the conclusion that IE cant set the ID attribute of an element dynamically.
As I sad this is probably not relevant to your issue but I thought I would share.
Solution
And for all of you who found this by Googleing on the tabs issue I had here is what I ended up doing in the tabsremove callback to solve the issue:
var dbIndex = event.currentTarget.offsetParent.childNodes[0].href.substring(event.currentTarget.offsetParent.childNodes[0].href.indexOf('#list-') + 6);
Probably not the sexiest solution but hey it solved the issue. If anyone have any input please share...

Are you sure you've checked out the head and not a lower revision? Also, have you done an update to make sure you've got the latest version?
There's a discussion about this on http://svn.haxx.se/users/archive-2007-01/0170.shtml.
There are a couple of different ways to approach the problem:
Each approach has its own quirks. You will need to setup SSH keys to enable password-less logins if you are wrapping system commands like "ssh", "scp" or "rsync." You can embed a password in a script using Paramiko or some other library, but you might find the lack of documentation frustrating, especially if you are not familiar with the basics of the SSH connection (eg - key exchanges, agents, etc). It probably goes without saying that SSH keys are almost always a better idea than passwords for this sort of stuff.
NOTE: its hard to beat rsync if you plan on transferring files via SSH, especially if the alternative is plain old scp.
I've used Paramiko with an eye towards replacing system calls but found myself drawn back to the wrapped commands due to their ease of use and immediate familiarity. You might be different. I gave Conch the once-over some time ago but it didn't appeal to me.
If opting for the system-call path, Python offers an array of options such as os.system or the commands/subprocess modules. I'd go with the subprocess module if using version 2.4+.
^\d{1,2}[\W_]?po$

Seriously, just don't use jQuery for this. disabled
is a boolean property of form elements that works perfectly in every major browser since 1997, and there is no possible way it could be simpler or more intuitive to change whether or not a form element is disabled.
The simplest way of getting a reference to the checkbox would be to give it an id
. Here's my suggested HTML:
<input type="hidden" name="chk0" value="">
<input type="checkbox" name="chk0" id="chk0_checkbox" value="true" disabled>
And the line of JavaScript to make the check box enabled:
document.getElementById("chk0_checkbox").disabled = false;
If you prefer, you can instead use jQuery to get hold of the checkbox:
$("#chk0_checkbox")[0].disabled = false;
The docs indicate that numpy.correlate
is not what you are looking for:
numpy.correlate(a, v, mode='valid', old_behavior=False)[source]
Cross-correlation of two 1-dimensional sequences.
This function computes the correlation as generally defined in signal processing texts:
z[k] = sum_n a[n] * conj(v[n+k])
with a and v sequences being zero-padded where necessary and conj being the conjugate.
Instead, as the other comments suggested, you are looking for a Pearson correlation coefficient. To do this with scipy try:
from scipy.stats.stats import pearsonr
a = [1,4,6]
b = [1,2,3]
print pearsonr(a,b)
This gives
(0.99339926779878274, 0.073186395040328034)
You can also use numpy.corrcoef
:
import numpy
print numpy.corrcoef(a,b)
This gives:
[[ 1. 0.99339927]
[ 0.99339927 1. ]]
I prefer to do it in code:
// Run a specific test only
//testing::GTEST_FLAG(filter) = "MyLibrary.TestReading"; // I'm testing a new feature, run something quickly
// Exclude a specific test
testing::GTEST_FLAG(filter) = "-MyLibrary.TestWriting"; // The writing test is broken, so skip it
I can either comment out both lines to run all tests, uncomment out the first line to test a single feature that I'm investigating/working on, or uncomment the second line if a test is broken but I want to test everything else.
You can also test/exclude a suite of features by using wildcards and writing a list, "MyLibrary.TestNetwork*" or "-MyLibrary.TestFileSystem*".

Essentially, it's the way Microsoft introduces its C++ extensions so that they won't conflict with future extensions of standard C++. With __declspec, you can attribute a function or class; the exact meaning varies depending on the nature of __declspec. __declspec(naked), for example, suppresses prolog/epilog generation (for interrupt handlers, embeddable code, etc), __declspec(thread) makes a variable thread-local, and so on.
The full list of __declspec attributes is available on MSDN, and varies by compiler version and platform.

An "em" is a typographical unit of width, the width of a wide-ish letter like "m" pronounced "em". Similarly there is an "en". Similarly "en-dash" and "em-dash" for – and —
The distance between two geo-coordinates can be found by using Haversine formula . This formula is effective to calculate distance in a spherical body i.e earth in our case.

You had thead
in your selector, but there is no thead
in your table. Also you had your selectors backwards. As you mentioned above, you wanted to be adding the tr
class to the th
, not vice-versa (although your comment seems to contradict what you wrote up above).
$('tr th').each(function(index){ if($('tr td').eq(index).attr('class') != ''){ // get the class of the td var tdClass = $('tr td').eq(index).attr('class'); // add it to this th $(this).addClass(tdClass ); } });

Did you set proper charset in the HTML Head section?
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8">
or you can set content type in your php script using -

There are already some discussions here on StackOverflow - please have a look
How to make MySQL handle UTF-8 properly setting utf8 with mysql through php
PHP/MySQL with encoding problems
So what i want to know is how can i directly store ???????? into my database and fetch it and display in my webpage using PHP.
I am not sure what you mean by "directly storing in the database" .. did you mean entering data using PhpMyAdmin or any other similar tool? If yes, I have tried using PhpMyAdmin to input unicode data, so it has worked fine for me - You could try inputting data using phpmyadmin and retrieve it using a php script to confirm. If you need to submit data via a Php script just set the NAMES and CHARACTER SET when you create mysql connection, before execute insert queries, and when you select data. Have a look at the above posts to find the syntax. Hope it helps.
** UPDATE ** Just fixed some typos etc
All the previous reviews were tested by me, but there was no solution. But I did not give up.
SOLUTION
Uncomment the following lines in my NGINX configuration
[/etc/nginx/site-avaible/{sitename}.conf]
The same code should follow in the site-enable folder
#fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $ document_root $ fastcgi_script_name;
And comment this:
fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME / www / {namesite} / public_html $ fastcgi_script_name;
I changed several times from the original:
#fastcgi_pass unix: /var/php-nginx/9882989289032.sock;
Going back to this:
#fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9007;
And finally I found what worked ...
fastcgi_pass localhost: 8004;
I also recommend these lines...
#fastcgi_index index.php;
#include fastcgi_params;
And even the FastCGI timeout (only to improve performance)
fastcgi_read_timeout 3000;
During the process, I checked the NGINX log for all modifications. (This is very important because it shows the wrong parameter.) In my case it is like this, but it depends on the configuration:
error_log/var/log/nginx/{site}_error_log;
Test the NGINX Configuration
nginx -t
Attention this is one of the options ... Well on the same server, what did not work on this site works on others ... So keep in mind that the settings depends on the platform.
In this case it was for Joomla CMS.
A browser isn't going to show you white space reliably. I recommend the Linux 'od' command to see what's really in there. Comforming XML parsers will respect all of the methods you listed.
Approach i used some years ago -
We need a jsp file , a servlet java file and a filter java file.
Give access of jsp file to user. User type url of jsp file .
Case 1 -
Using Printwriter , it will render the response to user .
Meanwhile, Servlet will create a key file .
When servlet try to execute the xxxx.js file within it , Filter
will activate and will detect key file exist and hence delete key
file .
Thus one cycle is over.
In short ,key file will created by server and will be immediatly deleted by filter .
This will happen upon every hit .
Case 2 -
Instead of File creation , one may use setting value in session variable .
I used this method to change choosing Text Field
- (BOOL)textFieldShouldReturn:(UITextField *)textField {
if ([textField isEqual:self.emailRegisterTextField]) {
[self.usernameRegisterTextField becomeFirstResponder];
} else if ([textField isEqual:self.usernameRegisterTextField]) {
[self.passwordRegisterTextField becomeFirstResponder];
} else {
[textField resignFirstResponder];
// To click button for registration when you clicking button "Done" on the keyboard
[self createMyAccount:self.registrationButton];
}
return YES;
}
Try adding return false;
in your click callback like this -
$(document).ready(function() {
$('.popup').click(function(event) {
window.open($(this).attr("href"), "popupWindow", "width=600,height=600,scrollbars=yes");
return false;
});
});
the equivalent to the batch program would be
#include<iostream>
int main()
{
std::cout<<"Hello, World!\n";
std::cin.get();
return 0;
}
The additional line does exactly what PAUSE
does, waits for a single character input
var a = new Date("2010 jan 10"),
b = new Date("2010 jan 9");
alert(
a + "\n" +
b + "\n" +
"Difference: " + ((+a - +b) / 1000)
);
In my opinion, I think it's important to explain the why behind the need for a GROUP BY in your SQL when summing with OVER() clause and why you are getting repeated lines of data when you are expecting one row per BrandID.
Take this example: You need to aggregate the total sale price of each order line, per specific order category, between two dates, but you also need to retain individual order data in your final results. A SUM() on the SalesPrice column would not allow you to get the correct totals because it would require a GROUP BY, therefore squashing the details because you wouldn't be able to keep the individual order lines in the select statement.
Many times we see a #temp table, @table variable, or CTE filled with the sum of our data and grouped up so we can join to it again later to get a column of the sums we need. This can add processing time and extra lines of code. Instead, use OVER(PARTITION BY ()) like this:
SELECT
OrderLine,
OrderDateTime,
SalePrice,
OrderCategory,
SUM(SalePrice) OVER(PARTITION BY OrderCategory) AS SaleTotalPerCategory
FROM tblSales
WHERE OrderDateTime BETWEEN @StartDate AND @EndDate
Notice we are not grouping and we have individual order lines column selected. The PARTITION BY in the last column will return us a sales price total for each row of data in each category. What the last column essentially says is, we want the sum of the sale price (SUM(SalePrice)) over a partition of my results and by a specified category (OVER(PARTITION BY CategoryHere)).
If we remove the other columns from our select statement, and leave our final SUM() column, like this:
SELECT
SUM(SalePrice) OVER(PARTITION BY OrderCategory) AS SaleTotalPerCategory
FROM tblSales
WHERE OrderDateTime BETWEEN @StartDate AND @EndDate
The results will still repeat this sum for each row in our original result set. The reason is this method does not require a GROUP BY. If you don't need to retain individual line data, then simply SUM() without the use of OVER() and group up your data appropriately. Again, if you need an additional column with specific totals, you can use the OVER(PARTITION BY ()) method described above without additional selects to join back to.
The above is purely for explaining WHY he is getting repeated lines of the same number and to help understand what this clause provides. This method can be used in many ways and I highly encourage further reading from the documentation here:
There's some great answers on this already. However, I thought I would chip in as some proxy servers require you to authenticate with a user Id and password. Sometimes this can be on a domain.
So, for example if your proxy server configuration is as follows:
Server: myproxyserver
Port: 8080
Username: mydomain\myusername
Password: mypassword
Then, add to your .gitconfig
file using the following command:
git config --global http.proxy http://mydomain\\myusername:mypassword@myproxyserver:8080
Don't worry about https
. As long as the specified proxy server supports http, and https, then one entry in the config file will suffice.
You can then verify that the command added the entry to your .gitconfig
file successfully by doing cat .gitconfig
:
At the end of the file you will see an entry as follows:
[http]
proxy = http://mydomain\\myusername:mypassword@myproxyserver:8080
That's it!
Here are the results I got with ipython's timeit function:
from datetime import date
today = date.today()
timeit[Model.objects.filter(date_created__year=today.year, date_created__month=today.month, date_created__day=today.day)]
1000 loops, best of 3: 652 us per loop
timeit[Model.objects.filter(date_created__gte=today)]
1000 loops, best of 3: 631 us per loop
timeit[Model.objects.filter(date_created__startswith=today)]
1000 loops, best of 3: 541 us per loop
timeit[Model.objects.filter(date_created__contains=today)]
1000 loops, best of 3: 536 us per loop
contains seems to be faster.
A different method - using setTag() and getTag() methods of the View class.
use setTag() in the onBindViewHolder method of your adapter
@Override
public void onBindViewHolder(myViewHolder viewHolder, int position) {
viewHolder.mCardView.setTag(position);
}
where mCardView is defined in the myViewHolder class
private class myViewHolder extends RecyclerView.ViewHolder implements View.OnClickListener {
public View mCardView;
public myViewHolder(View view) {
super(view);
mCardView = (CardView) view.findViewById(R.id.card_view);
mCardView.setOnClickListener(this);
}
}
use getTag() in your OnClickListener implementation
@Override
public void onClick(View view) {
int position = (int) view.getTag();
//display toast with position of cardview in recyclerview list upon click
Toast.makeText(view.getContext(),Integer.toString(position),Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
}

The warning from your compiler is telling you that your format specifier doesn't match the data type you're passing to it.
Try using %lx
or %llx
. For more portability, include inttypes.h
and use the PRIx64
macro.
For example: printf("val = 0x%" PRIx64 "\n", val);
(note that it's string concatenation)
You are missing that rsync can also compare files by checksum.
--size-only
means that rsync will skip files that match in size, even if the timestamps differ. This means it will synchronise fewer files than the default behaviour. It will miss any file with changes that don't affect the overall file size. If you have something that changes the dates on files without changing the files, and you don't want rsync to spend lots of time checksumming those files to discover they haven't changed, this is the option to use.
--ignore-times
means that rsync will checksum every file, even if the timestamps and file sizes match. This means it will synchronise more files than the default behaviour. It will include changes to files even where the file size is the same and the modification date/time has been reset to the original value. Checksumming every file means it has to be entirely read from disk, which may be slow. Some build pipelines will reset timestamps to a specific date (like 1970-01-01) to ensure that the final build file is reproducible bit for bit, e.g. when packed into a tar file that saves the timestamps.
This can also happen when you're trying to load a DLL and that in turn needs another DLL which cannot be not found.
OS : Win10, Visual Studio 2015
Solution : Go to control panel ---> uninstall program ---MSvisual studio ----> change ---->organize = repair
and repair it. Note that you must connect to internet until repairing finish.
Good luck.
There is an important difference between floor() and DIV 1. For negative numbers, they behave differently. DIV 1 returns the integer part (as cast as signed does), while floor(x) returns "the largest integer value not greater than x" (from the manual). So : select floor(-1.1) results in -2, while select -1.1 div 1 results in -1
You should not attempt to parse HTML with regex. HTML is not a regular language, so any regex you come up with will likely fail on some esoteric edge case. Please refer to the seminal answer to this question for specifics. While mostly formatted as a joke, it makes a very good point.
The following examples are Java, but the regex will be similar -- if not identical -- for other languages.
String target = someString.replaceAll("<[^>]*>", "");
Assuming your non-html does not contain any < or > and that your input string is correctly structured.
If you know they're a specific tag -- for example you know the text contains only <td>
tags, you could do something like this:
String target = someString.replaceAll("(?i)<td[^>]*>", "");
Edit: Omega brought up a good point in a comment on another post that this would result in multiple results all being squished together if there were multiple tags.
For example, if the input string were <td>Something</td><td>Another Thing</td>
, then the above would result in SomethingAnother Thing
.
In a situation where multiple tags are expected, we could do something like:
String target = someString.replaceAll("(?i)<td[^>]*>", " ").replaceAll("\\s+", " ").trim();
This replaces the HTML with a single space, then collapses whitespace, and then trims any on the ends.
The unload() method was deprecated in jQuery version 1.8.
so if you are using versions older than 1.8
then use -
$(window).unload(function(){
alert("Goodbye!");
});
and if you are using 1.8 and higher
then use -
window.onbeforeunload = function() {
return "Bye now!";
};
hope this will work :-)
You should always avoid using List<T>
as a parameter. Not only because this pattern reduces the opportunities of the caller to store the data in a different kind of collection, but also the caller has to convert the data into a List
first.
Converting an IEnumerable
into a List
costs O(n) complexity which is absolutely unneccessary. And it also creates a new object.
TL;DR you should always use a proper interface like IEnumerable
or IQueryable
based on what do you want to do with your collection. ;)
In your case:
public void foo(IEnumerable<DateTime> dateTimes)
{
}
I can see all answers above are partially correct only. In reality all 21st Century PHP apps will have FastCGI Process Manager(php-fpm) so once you have added php-info() into your test.php script and checked the correct path for php.ini
Go to php.ini and set short_open_tag = On
IMPORTANT: then you must restart your php-fpm process so this can work!
sudo service php-fpm restart
and then finally restart your nginx/http server
sudo service nginx restart
With PostgreSQL there are a number of date/time functions available, see here.
In your example, you could use:
SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE date_trunc('day', dt) = 'YYYY-MM-DD';
If you are running this query regularly, it is possible to create an index using the date_trunc
function as well:
CREATE INDEX date_trunc_dt_idx ON myTable ( date_trunc('day', dt) );
One advantage of this is there is some more flexibility with timezones if required, for example:
CREATE INDEX date_trunc_dt_idx ON myTable ( date_trunc('day', dt at time zone 'Australia/Sydney') );
SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE date_trunc('day', dt at time zone 'Australia/Sydney') = 'YYYY-MM-DD';
Important!
Most of answers here works for particular cases.
If you don't care about deep/nested objects and props use (ES6):
let clonedArray = [...array]
but if you want to do deep clone use this instead:
let cloneArray = JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(array))
For lodash users:
let clonedArray = _.clone(array)
documentation
and
let clonedArray = _.cloneDeep(array)

Try
//adding data to session
//assuming the method below will return list of Products
var products=Db.GetProducts();
//Store the products to a session
Session["products"]=products;
//To get what you have stored to a session
var products=Session["products"] as List<Product>;
//to clear the session value
Session["products"]=null;
The most simple check by process name :
bash -c 'checkproc ssh.exe ; while [ $? -eq 0 ] ; do echo "proc running";sleep 10; checkproc ssh.exe; done'
As was stated in the comments to the original post, this seemed to be an issue with the python interpreter I was using for whatever reason, and not something wrong with the python scripts. I switched over from the WinPython bundle to the official python 3.6 from python.org and it worked just fine. thanks for the help everyone :)
Complete code of passing data using fragment to fragment
Fragment fragment = new Fragment(); // replace your custom fragment class
Bundle bundle = new Bundle();
FragmentTransaction fragmentTransaction = getSupportFragmentManager().beginTransaction();
bundle.putString("key","value"); // use as per your need
fragment.setArguments(bundle);
fragmentTransaction.addToBackStack(null);
fragmentTransaction.replace(viewID,fragment);
fragmentTransaction.commit();
In custom fragment class
Bundle mBundle = new Bundle();
mBundle = getArguments();
mBundle.getString(key); // key must be same which was given in first fragment
I think that an alternative would be to:
Yes, this is a rather dirty and low level approach but it should work without problems
Regarding jQuery
, the following common methods will also remove other constructs such as data and event handlers:
In addition to the elements themselves, all bound events and jQuery data associated with the elements are removed.
To avoid memory leaks, jQuery removes other constructs such as data and event handlers from the child elements before removing the elements themselves.
Additionally, jQuery removes other constructs such as data and event handlers from child elements before replacing those elements with the new content.
in my opinion the easiest way would be somthing like this:
<?php>
echo '<a href="link.php?submit='.$value.'">Submit</a>';
</?>
within the "link.php" you can request the value like this:
$_REQUEST['submit']

Many years ago I was teaching someone to program in C. The exercise was to rotate a graphic through 90 degrees. He came back with a solution that took several minutes to complete, mainly because he was using multiplies and divides etc.
I showed him how to recast the problem using bit shifts, and the time to process came down to about 30 seconds on the non-optimizing compiler he had.
I had just got an optimizing compiler and the same code rotated the graphic in < 5 seconds. I looked at the assembly code that the compiler was generating, and from what I saw decided there and then that my days of writing assembler were over.
Yes, you can.
From cplusplus.com:
Because these functions are operator overloading functions, the usual way in which they are called is:
strm >> variable;
Where
strm
is the identifier of a istream object andvariable
is an object of any type supported as right parameter. It is also possible to call a succession of extraction operations as:strm >> variable1 >> variable2 >> variable3; //...
which is the same as performing successive extractions from the same object
strm
.
Just replace strm
with cin
.
I can't believe none of the answers pointed to the function dirname()
(available since PHP 4).
Basically, it returns the full path for the referenced object. If you use a file as a reference, the function returns the full path of the file. If the referenced object is a folder, the function will return the parent folder of that folder.
https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.dirname.php
For the current folder of the current file, use $current = dirname(__FILE__);
.
For a parent folder of the current folder, simply use $parent = dirname(__DIR__);
.
With MongoDb 3.4.4 and newer, you can leverage the use of $arrayToObject
operator and a $replaceRoot
pipeline to get the counts.
For example, suppose you have a collection of users with different roles and you would like to calculate the distinct counts of the roles. You would need to run the following aggregate pipeline:
db.users.aggregate([
{ "$group": {
"_id": { "$toLower": "$role" },
"count": { "$sum": 1 }
} },
{ "$group": {
"_id": null,
"counts": {
"$push": { "k": "$_id", "v": "$count" }
}
} },
{ "$replaceRoot": {
"newRoot": { "$arrayToObject": "$counts" }
} }
])
Example Output
{
"user" : 67,
"superuser" : 5,
"admin" : 4,
"moderator" : 12
}
I wrote this in an ajax view, but it is a more expansive answer giving the list of currently logged in and logged out users.
The is_authenticated
attribute always returns True
for my users, which I suppose is expected since it only checks for AnonymousUsers, but that proves useless if you were to say develop a chat app where you need logged in users displayed.
This checks for expired sessions and then figures out which user they belong to based on the decoded _auth_user_id
attribute:
def ajax_find_logged_in_users(request, client_url):
"""
Figure out which users are authenticated in the system or not.
Is a logical way to check if a user has an expired session (i.e. they are not logged in)
:param request:
:param client_url:
:return:
"""
# query non-expired sessions
sessions = Session.objects.filter(expire_date__gte=timezone.now())
user_id_list = []
# build list of user ids from query
for session in sessions:
data = session.get_decoded()
# if the user is authenticated
if data.get('_auth_user_id'):
user_id_list.append(data.get('_auth_user_id'))
# gather the logged in people from the list of pks
logged_in_users = CustomUser.objects.filter(id__in=user_id_list)
list_of_logged_in_users = [{user.id: user.get_name()} for user in logged_in_users]
# Query all logged in staff users based on id list
all_staff_users = CustomUser.objects.filter(is_resident=False, is_active=True, is_superuser=False)
logged_out_users = list()
# for some reason exclude() would not work correctly, so I did this the long way.
for user in all_staff_users:
if user not in logged_in_users:
logged_out_users.append(user)
list_of_logged_out_users = [{user.id: user.get_name()} for user in logged_out_users]
# return the ajax response
data = {
'logged_in_users': list_of_logged_in_users,
'logged_out_users': list_of_logged_out_users,
}
print(data)
return HttpResponse(json.dumps(data))
The best "opposite" would be to return it to the default value which is:
display: inline
