AutoScroll is really the solution! You just have to set AutoScrollMargin to 0, 1000 or something like this, then use it to scroll down and add buttons and items there!

All of the answers provided so far assume that you know something about the text to be replaced which makes sense, since that's what the OP asked. I'm providing an answer that assumes you know nothing about the text to be replaced and that there may be a separate line in the file with the same or similar content that you do not want to be replaced. Furthermore, I'm assuming you know the line number of the line to be replaced.

The following examples demonstrate the removing or changing of text by specific line numbers:

The other answers to this question all miss the key point that in Java, there is one mutex associated with every object. (I'm assuming you know what a mutex or "lock" is.) This is not the case in most programming languages which have the concept of "locks". For example, in Ruby, you have to explicitly create as many Mutex objects as you need.

I think I know why the creators of Java made this choice (although, in my opinion, it was a mistake). The reason has to do with the inclusion of the synchronized keyword. I believe that the creators of Java (naively) thought that by including synchronized methods in the language, it would become easy for people to write correct multithreaded code -- just encapsulate all your shared state in objects, declare the methods that access that state as synchronized, and you're done! But it didn't work out that way...

Anyways, since any class can have synchronized methods, there needs to be one mutex for each object, which the synchronized methods can lock and unlock.

wait and notify both rely on mutexes. Maybe you already understand why this is the case... if not I can add more explanation, but for now, let's just say that both methods need to work on a mutex. Each Java object has a mutex, so it makes sense that wait and notify can be called on any Java object. Which means that they need to be declared as methods of Object.

Another option would have been to put static methods on Thread or something, which would take any Object as an argument. That would have been much less confusing to new Java programmers. But they didn't do it that way. It's much too late to change any of these decisions; too bad!

As well as execute immediate you can also use

DBMS_UTILITY.EXEC_DDL_STATEMENT('TRUNCATE TABLE tablename;');

The statement fails because the stored proc is executing DDL and some instances of DDL could invalidate the stored proc. By using the execute immediate or exec_ddl approaches the DDL is implemented through unparsed code.

When doing this you neeed to look out for the fact that DDL issues an implicit commit both before and after execution.

In 5.7.22, you'll want to use JSON_ARRAYAGG, rather than hack the array together from a string.

The latest version from Red Gate is 6.1. However the 5.1 version cannot automatically update to version 6 because there were changes to the Terms of Service, so instead you are redirected to the site to download the 6.1 version. This is mostly because of legal reasons as you can check in the following post:

I had the same problem before when I'm trying import a .aar package into my project, and unfortunately before make the .aar package as a module-dependence of my project, I had two modules (one about ROS-ANDROID-CV-BRIDGE, one is OPENCV-FOR-ANDROID) already. So, I got this error as you guys meet:

Error:Could not find method android() for arguments [org.ros.gradle_plugins.RosAndroidPlugin$_apply_closure2_closure4@7e550e0e] on project ‘:xxx’ of type org.gradle.api.Project.

So, it's the painful gradle-structure caused this problem when you have several modules in your project, and worse, they're imported in different way or have different types (.jar/.aar packages or just a project of Java library). And it's really a headache matter to make the configuration like compile-version, library dependencies etc. in each subproject compatible with the main-project.

I solved my problem just follow this steps:

? Copy .aar package in app/libs.

? Add this in app/build.gradle file:

? Add this in your add build.gradle file of the module which you want to apply the .aar dependence (in my situation, just add this in my app/build.gradle file):

The base tag appears to have some non-intuitive effects, and I recommend being aware of the outcomes and testing them for yourself before relying on <base>! Since I've discovered them after trying to use the base tag to handle local sites with differing urls and only found out the problematic effects after, to my dismay, I feel compelled to create this summary of these potential pitfalls for others.

I'll use a base tag of: <base href="http://www.example.com/other-subdirectory/"> as my example in the cases below, and will pretend that the page that the code is on is http://localsite.com/original-subdirectory

Major:

No links or named anchors or blank hrefs will point to the original subdirectory, unless that is made explicit: The base tag makes everything link differently, including same-page anchor links to the base tag's url instead, e.g:

• <a href='#top-of-page' title='Some title'>A link to the top of the page via a named anchor</a>
  becomes
  <a href='http://www.example.com/other-subdirectory/#top-of-page' title='Some title'>A link to an #named-anchor on the completely different base page</a>

• <a href='?update=1' title='Some title'>A link to this page</a>
  becomes
  <a href='http://www.example.com/other-subdirectory/?update=1' title='Some title'>A link to the base tag's page instead</a>

With some work, you can fix these problems on links that you have control over, by explicitly specifying that these links link to the page that they are on, but when you add third-party libraries to the mix that rely on the standard behavior, it can easily cause a big mess.

Minor:

IE6 fix that requires conditional comments: Requires conditional comments for ie6 to avoid screwing up the dom hierarchy, i.e. <base href="http://www.example.com/"><!--[if lte IE 6]></base><![endif]--> as BalusC mentions in his answer above.

So overall, the major problem makes use tricky unless you have full editing control over every link, and as I originally feared, that makes it more trouble than it's worth. Now I have to go off and rewrite all my uses of it! :p

I've just tested it out myself, with the following results:

• trailing slash or not, makes no difference to the examples given here (#anchor and ?query would simply be appended to the specified <BASE>).
• It however makes a difference for relative links: omitting the trailing slash, other.html and dir/other.html would start at the DOCUMENT_ROOT with the given example, /other-subdirectory being (correctly) treated as file and thus omitted.

So for relative links, BASE works fine with the moved page – while anchors and ?queries would need the file name be specified explicitly (with BASE having a trailing slash, or the last element not corresponding to the name of the file it's used in).

Think of it as <BASE> replacing the full URL to the file itself (and not the directory it resides in), and you'll get things right. Assuming the file used in this example was other-subdirectory/test.html (after it moved to the new location), the correct specification should have been:

<base href="http://www.example.com/other-subdirectory/test.html">

– et voila, everything works as expected: #anchor, ?query, other.html, very/other.html, /completely/other.html.

Make a vbs script to run a hidden batch file which launches the powershell script. Seems silly to make 3 files for this task but atleast the total size is less than 2KB and it runs perfect from tasker or manually (you dont see anything).

• Leave the File's Owner field empty.
• Click on actual view in xib file of your CustomView and set its Custom Class as CustomView (name of your custom view class)

I had a same problem. To solve this problem just open your all files(recent working files) in Which you made the changes and check did you forget to delete some which should be deleted.

In my case the problem was with the Unreferenced code which I was using in one of my file and that code is present in that file which should not be present in that file because I was using an interface which I have deleted from my project but I forget to deleted from one of my file).

You can do this with a pivot table and add a line with the pourcentage for each category like brettdj showed in his answer. But if you want to keep your data as it is, there is a solution by using some javascript.

Javascript is a powerful language offering a lot of useful data visualization libraries like plotly.js.

In this example, I use a Json file to get the data from the embedded spreadsheet, so I can use it in my javascript code and create a bar chart.

I calculate the percentage by adding the values of all the category present in the table and using this formula (you can see it in the script.js file): Percentage (%) = 100 x partial value / total value

It automatically calculates the total and pourcentage even if you add more categories.

I used plotly.js to create my chart, it has a good documentation and lots of examples for beginners, this code gets all the option you want to use:

I too had the same problem. Digging into this I found that the Exception class has an args attribute, which captures the arguments that were used to create the exception. If you narrow the exceptions that except will catch to a subset, you should be able to determine how they were constructed, and thus which argument contains the message.

The proper way to determine the "type" of an object, which is a wobbly term in the Ruby world, is to call object.class.

Since classes can inherit from other classes, if you want to determine if an object is "of a particular type" you might call object.is_a?(ClassName) to see if object is of type ClassName or derived from it.

Normally type checking is not done in Ruby, but instead objects are assessed based on their ability to respond to particular methods, commonly called "Duck typing". In other words, if it responds to the methods you want, there's no reason to be particular about the type.

For example, object.is_a?(String) is too rigid since another class might implement methods that convert it into a string, or make it behave identically to how String behaves. object.respond_to?(:to_s) would be a better way to test that the object in question does what you want.

You need to use the CONCAT() function in MySQL for string concatenation:

Available Zoom Levels

Zoom level 0 is the most zoomed out zoom level available and each integer step in zoom level halves the X and Y extents of the view and doubles the linear resolution.

Google Maps was built on a 256x256 pixel tile system where zoom level 0 was a 256x256 pixel image of the whole earth. A 256x256 tile for zoom level 1 enlarges a 128x128 pixel region from zoom level 0.

As correctly stated by bkaid, the available zoom range depends on where you are looking and the kind of map you are using:

• Road maps - seem to go up to zoom level 22 everywhere
• Hybrid and satellite maps - the max available zoom levels depend on location. Here are some examples:
• Remote regions of Antarctica: 13
• Gobi Desert: 17
• Much of the U.S. and Europe: 21
• "Deep zoom" locations: 22-23 (see bkaid's link)

Note that these values are for the Google Static Maps API which seems to give one more zoom level than the Javascript API. It appears that the extra zoom level available for Static Maps is just an upsampled version of the max-resolution image from the Javascript API.

Google Maps uses a Mercator projection so the scale varies substantially with latitude. A formula for calculating the correct scale based on latitude is:

curl sends POST requests with the default content type of application/x-www-form-urlencoded. If you want to send a JSON request, you will have to specify the correct content type header:

But that will only work if the server accepts json input. The .json at the end of the url may only indicate that the output is json, it doesn't necessarily mean that it also will handle json input. The API documentation should give you a hint on whether it does or not.

The reason you get a 401 and not some other error is probably because the server can't extract the auth_token from your request.

It is not possible directly. You may as well write some preprocessor which can handle that.

If I understand it correctly then below are the things that can be helpful to achieve that:

• Use a pre-processor which will run through your JS files for example looking for patterns like "@import somefile.js" and replace them with the content of the actual file. Nicholas Zakas(Yahoo) wrote one such library in Java which you can use (http://www.nczonline.net/blog/2009/09/22/introducing-combiner-a-javascriptcss-concatenation-tool/)

• If you are using Ruby on Rails then you can give Jammit asset packaging a try, it uses assets.yml configuration file where you can define your packages which can contain multiple files and then refer them in your actual webpage by the package name.

• Try using a module loader like RequireJS or a script loader like LabJs with the ability to control the loading sequence as well as taking advantage of parallel downloading.

JavaScript currently does not provide a "native" way of including a JavaScript file into another like CSS ( @import ), but all the above mentioned tools/ways can be helpful to achieve the DRY principle you mentioned. I can understand that it may not feel intuitive if you are from a Server-side background but this is the way things are. For front-end developers this problem is typically a "deployment and packaging issue".

I was tempted to delete this answer as it is WRONG But instead I will explain what tripped me up

My file upload field is named 'upload' so I was getting "The upload failed to upload.". This message comes from this line in validation.php:

in resources/lang/en/validaton.php:

'uploaded' => 'The :attribute failed to upload.',

And this is the message displayed when the file is larger than the limit set by PHP.

I want to over-ride this message, which you normally can do by passing a third parameter $messages array to Validator::make() method.

However I can't do that as I am calling the POST from a React Component, which renders the form containing the csrf field and the upload field.

So instead, as a super-dodgy-hack, I chose to get into my view that displays the messages and replace that specific message with my friendly 'file too large' message.

Here is what works if the file to smaller than the PHP file size limit:

You can set Apache to serve pages from anywhere with any restrictions but it's normally distributed in a more secure form.

Editing your apache files (http.conf is one of the more common names) will allow you to set any folder so it appears in your webroot.

You are off slightly on a few things here, so hopefully the following helps.

Firstly, you don't need to select ranges to access their properties, you can just specify their address etc. Secondly, unless you are manipulating the values within the range, you don't actually need to set them to a variant. If you do want to manipulate the values, you can leave out the bounds of the array as it will be set when you define the range.

It's also good practice to use Option Explicit at the top of your modules to force variable declaration.

I find a bit confusing the terminologies "target" and "directory" in the man information.

The target is the folder that we are symlinking to and the directory the actual symlink (not the directory that you will be symlinking to), if anyone is experiencing the same confusion, don't feel alone.

This is my interpretation of creating a Symlink (in linux):

Joe Edel's answer to himself is actually the right approach to resolve the pivot problem.

Basically the idea is to list out the columns in the base table firstly, and then any number of options.value from the joint option table. Just left join the same option table multiple times in order to get all the options.

What needs to be done by the programming language is to build this query dynamically according to a list of options needs to be queried.

If complex numbers give you a headache, there is a broad range of fractals that can be formulated using an L-system. This requires a couple of layers interacting, but each is interesting in it own right.

First you need a turtle. Forward, Back, Left, Right, Pen-up, Pen-down. There are lots of fun shapes to be made with turtle graphics using turtle geometry even without an L-system driving it. Search for "LOGO graphics" or "Turtle graphics". A full LOGO system is in fact a Lisp programming environment using an unparenthesized Cambridge Polish syntax. Then you need a layer to execute an L-system. L-systems are related to Post-systems and Semi-Thue systems, and like virii, they straddle the border of Turing Completeness. As stated, git diff -b or git diff --ignore-space-change will ignore spaces at line ends. If you desire that setting to be your default behavior, the following line adds that intent to your .gitconfig file, so it will always ignore the space at line ends:

git config --global core.whitespace trailing-space

In my case, I found this question because I was interested in ignoring "carriage return whitespace differences", so I needed this:

git diff --ignore-cr-at-eol or git config --global core.whitespace cr-at-eol from here.

You can also make it the default only for that repo by omitting the --global parameter, and checking in the settings file for that repo. For the CR problem I faced, it goes away after check-in if warncrlf or autocrlf = true in the [core] section of the .gitconfig file.

Yes structures and classes in C++ are the same except that structures members are public by default whereas classes members are private by default. Anything you can do in a class you should be able to do in a structure.

You will note that the only difference in the code above is that the variables are all declared as objects and you instantiate the Excel instance with CreateObject().

This code will run no matter what version of Excel is installed, while using a reference can easily cause your code to break if there's a different version of Excel installed, or if it's installed in a different location.

Also, the error handling could be added to the code above so that if the initial instantiation of the Excel instance fails (say, because Excel is not installed or not properly registered), your code can continue. With a reference set, your whole Access application will fail if Excel is not installed.

Your data types are mismatched when you are retrieving the field values. Check your code and ensure that for each field that you are retrieving that the java object matches that type. For example, retrieving a date into and int. If you are doing a select * then it is possible a change in the fields of the table has happened causing this error to occur. Your SQL should only select the fields you specifically want in order to avoid this error.

I just wanted to bring a small contribution, because I have been able to debug on my Nexus 5 device on Windows 8, without doing all of this.

When I plugged it, there was no yellow exclamation mark within the device manager. So for me, the drivers was OK. But the device was not listed within my eclipse ddms. After a little bit of searching, It was just an option to change in the device settings. By default, the Nexus 5 usb computer connection is in MTP mode (Media Device).

What you have to do is:

1. Unplug the device from the computer
2. Go to Settings -> Storage.
3. In the ActionBar, click the option menu and choose "USB computer connection".
4. Check "Camera (PTP)" connection.
5. Plug the device and you should have a popup on the device allowing you to accept the computer's incoming connection, or something like that.
6. Finally you should see it now in the ddms and voilà.

I'm not certain why everyone is claiming that you need a using statement at the top of your file, as this is entirely unnecessary.

Right-click on the "References" folder in your project and select "Add Reference". If your new class library is a project in the same solution, select the "Project" tab and pick the project. If the new library is NOT in the same solution, click the "Browse" tab and find the .dll for your new project.

I see something strange. You are using for ESCAPING the same character you use for ENCLOSING. So the engine does not know what to do when it founds a '"' and I think that is why nothing seems to be in the right place. I think that if you remove the line of ESCAPING, should run great. Like:

Unless you analyze (manually, visually, ... ) your CSV and find which character uses for escape. Sometimes is '\'. But if you do not have it, do not use it.

The issue has been resolved while installation of the maven settings is provided as External in Eclipse. The navigation settings are Window --> Preferences --> Installations. When you're writing code before the year 1990.

Final conclusion: arithmetic on a void* is illegal in both C and C++.

Originally, it was thought that void* arithmetic was permitted, because of these sections of the C standard:

6.2.5-27: A pointer to void shall have the same representation and alignment requirements as a pointer to a character type.

However,

The same representation and alignment requirements are meant to imply interchangeability as arguments to functions, return values from functions, and members of unions.

So this means that printf("%s", x) has the same meaning whether x has type char* or void*, but it does not mean that you can do arithmetic on a void*.

It was taken from /var/log/syslog.

Back to your question. Were you to use Java 8, I think you want LocalDateTime. Because it contains the date and time-of-the-day, but is unaware of time zone or any reference point in time such as the unix epoch.

If I am not allowed to put double quotes in my attributes, why put them in the element's content ? Why do these specs always have these exceptional cases .. If I had to write the HTML spec, I would say All double quotes need to be encoded. Done.

Today it is like In attribute values we need to encode double quotes, except when the attribute value itself is defined by single quotes. In the content of elements, double quotes can be, but are not required to be, encoded. (And I am surely forgetting some cases here).

Double quotes are a keyword of the spec, encode them. Lesser/greater than are a keyword of the spec, encode them. etc..

There is nothing you can do on your end (client side). You can not enable crossDomain calls yourself, the source (dailymotion.com) needs to have CORS enabled for this to work.

The only thing you can really do is to create a server side proxy script which does this for you. Are you using any server side scripts in your project? PHP, Python, ASP.NET etc? If so, you could create a server side "proxy" script which makes the HTTP call to dailymotion and returns the response. Then you call that script from your Javascript code, since that server side script is on the same domain as your script code, CORS will not be a problem.

Monolithic kernel is a single large process running entirely in a single address space. It is a single static binary file. All kernel services exist and execute in the kernel address space. The kernel can invoke functions directly. Examples of monolithic kernel based OSs: Unix, Linux.

In microkernels, the kernel is broken down into separate processes, known as servers. Some of the servers run in kernel space and some run in user-space. All servers are kept separate and run in different address spaces. Servers invoke "services" from each other by sending messages via IPC (Interprocess Communication). This separation has the advantage that if one server fails, other servers can still work efficiently. Examples of microkernel based OSs: Mac OS X and Windows NT.

Use sqlcmd instead of osql if it's a 2005 database

For me it was because I changed the Output Type of my startup project from Console Application to Class Library.

Reverting to Console Application did the trick.

When you use git push origin :staleStuff, it automatically removes origin/staleStuff, so when you ran git remote prune origin, you have pruned some branch that was removed by someone else. It's more likely that your co-workers now need to run git prune to get rid of branches you have removed.

So what exactly git remote prune does? Main idea: local branches (not tracking branches) are not touched by git remote prune command and should be removed manually.

Now, a real-world example for better understanding:

You have a remote repository with 2 branches: master and feature. Let's assume that you are working on both branches, so as a result you have these references in your local repository (full reference names are given to avoid any confusion):

• refs/heads/master (short name master)
• refs/heads/feature (short name feature)
• refs/remotes/origin/master (short name origin/master)
• refs/remotes/origin/feature (short name origin/feature)

Now, a typical scenario:

1. Some other developer finishes all work on the feature, merges it into master and removes feature branch from remote repository.
2. By default, when you do git fetch (or git pull), no references are removed from your local repository, so you still have all those 4 references.
3. You decide to clean them up, and run git remote prune origin.
4. git detects that feature branch no longer exists, so refs/remotes/origin/feature is a stale branch which should be removed.
5. Now you have 3 references, including refs/heads/feature, because git remote prune does not remove any refs/heads/* references.

It is possible to identify local branches, associated with remote tracking branches, by branch.<branch_name>.merge configuration parameter. This parameter is not really required for anything to work (probably except git pull), so it might be missing.

As mentioned by others, you need to modify the visualvm.conf

For the latest version of JvisualVM 1.3.6 on Mac, the install directories have changed.

It is currently in /Applications/VisualVM.app/Contents/Resources/visualvm/etc/visualvm.conf.

However this may depend on where you have installed VisualVM. The easiest way to find where your VisualVM is to start it, and then look at the process using:

ps -ef | grep VisualVM

You will see something like:

... -Dnetbeans.dirs=/Applications/VisualVM.app/Contents/Resources/visualvm/visualvm...

You want to take the netbeans.dir property and look up a directory and you will find the etc folder.

Uncomment this line in the visualvm.conf and change the path to the jdk

when you perform y=x() you are actually assigning y to the result of calling the function object x and the function has a return value of None. Function calls in python are performed using (). To assign x to y so you can call y just like you would x you assign the function object x to y like y=x and call the function using y()

You can go through the below steps and get setup redis in windows.

1. Download the Redis zip file. Click here!

2. Extract the zip file to the prepared directory.

3. Run redis-server.exe, you can either directly run redis-server.exe by clicking or run via command prompt.
