995 is an error reported by the IO Completion Port. The error comes since you try to continue read from the socket when it has most likely been closed.

Receiving 0 bytes from EndRecieve means that the socket has been closed, as does most exceptions that EndRecieve will throw.

You need to start dealing with those situations.

Never ever ignore exceptions, they are thrown for a reason.

There is nothing that says that the server does anything wrong. A connection can be lost for a lot of reasons such as idle connection being closed by a switch/router/firewall, shaky network, bad cables etc.

What I'm saying is that you MUST handle disconnections. The proper way of doing so is to dispose the socket and try to connect a new one at certain intervals.

As for the receive callback a more proper way of handling it is something like this (semi pseudo code):

the reason to why I'm using three catch blocks is simply because the logic for the middle one is different from the other two. Exceptions from BeginReceive/EndReceive usually indicates socket disconnection while exceptions from your logic should not stop the socket receiving.

I've also used Meld. It's written in python. There is an official installer for Windows that works well.

When you call Gridview1.DataBind() you will populate your gridview with the current datasource. So, it will delete all the existent rows, and it will add all the rows from CustomersSqlDataSource.

What you need to do is delete the row from the table that CustomersSqlDataSource querying.

You can do this very easy by setting a delete command to CustomersSqlDataSource, add a delete parameter, and then execute the delete command.

Explanation

Here, -r is short form of --requirement and it asks the pip to install from the given requirements file.

pip will start installation only after checking the availability of all listed items in the requirements file and it won't start installation even if one requirement is unavailable.

One workaround to install the available packages is installing listed packages one by one. Use the following command for that. A red color warning will be shown to notify you about the unavailable packages.

Everything else you read here and elsewhere is pure conjecture. The only sure-way to fix this problem is vote for this bug report.

The problem isn't related to emulator resolution or OpenGL, nor how much memory your computer has. I've got 24GB memory in my computer and most of the time I run with hw.ramSize=1024 I get error 8. Other times it works just fine without any configuration changes. I hope you caught that: I did not alter the emulator configuration at all and yet sometimes it runs and sometimes it fails.

There is a high probability it has something to do with memory fragmentation. I recommend reducing the value of hw.ramSize as a temporary workaround.

Per the manpage for update-rc.d, the second parameter is a script located in /etc/init.d/*. Updated above code to reflect this.

As pointed out in the comments (by Russell Yan), This works only on default mode of update-rc.d.

According to manual of update-rc.d, it can run on two modes, "the machines using the legacy mode will have a file /etc/init.d/.legacy-bootordering", in which case you have to pass sequence and runlevel configuration through command line arguments.

The equivalent argument set for the above example is

sudo update-rc.d filename start 20 2 3 4 5 . stop 20 0 1 6 .

The result of a subtraction generating a negative number in an unsigned type is well-defined:

Regarding this part:

When I convert it to UTF-8 without bom and close file, the file is again ANSI when I reopen.

The easiest solution is to avoid the problem entirely by properly configuring Notepad++.

Try Settings -> Preferences -> New document -> Encoding -> choose UTF-8 without BOM, and check Apply to opened ANSI files.

That way all the opened ANSI files will be treated as UTF-8 without BOM.

You are trying to execute an asynchronous function in a synchronous way, which is unfortunately not possible in Javascript.

As you guessed correctly, the roomId=results.... is executed when the loading from the DB completes, which is done asynchronously, so AFTER the resto of your code is completed.

For your immediate situation, instead of onChange, you can use onInput, new in html5. The input event is the same, but it'll fire upon every keystroke, regardless of the focus. Also works on selects and all the rest just like onChange.

Problem solved!

I was having all my website set up first in XAMMP, then I had to transfer it to LAMP, in a SUSE installation of LAMP, where I got this error.

The problem is that these parameters in the database.php file should not be initialised. Just leave username and password blank. That's just it.

(My first and lame guess would be that's because of old version of mysql, as built-in installations come with older versions.

We get a lot of requests for addditions to the C# language and today I'm going to talk about one of the more common ones - switch on type. Switch on type looks like a pretty useful and straightforward feature: Add a switch-like construct which switches on the type of the expression, rather than the value. What's the first part of your Subversion repository URL?

• If your URL looks like: http://subversion/repos/, then you're probably going over Port 80.
• If your URL looks like: https://subversion/repos/, then you're probably going over Port 443.
• If your URL looks like: svn://subversion/, then you're probably going over Port 3690.
• If your URL looks like: svn+ssh://subversion/repos/, then you're probably going over Port 22.

I can't guarantee the first four since it's possible to reconfigure everything to use different ports, of if you go through a proxy of some sort.

If you're using a VPN, you may have to configure your VPN client to reroute these to their correct ports. A lot of places don't configure their correctly VPNs to do this type of proxying. It's either because they have some sort of anal-retentive IT person who's being overly security conscious, or because they simply don't know any better. Even worse, they'll give you a client where this stuff can't be reconfigured.

The only way around that is to log into a local machine over the VPN, and then do everything from that system.

As people above have noted you'll either have to recalculate an offset to the stroke's path coordinates or double its width and then mask one side or the other, because not only does SVG not natively support Illustrator's stroke alignment, but PostScript doesn't either.

The specification for strokes in Adobe's PostScript Manual 2nd edition states: "4.5.1 Stroking: The stroke operator draws a line of some thickness along the current path. For each straight or curved segment in the path, stroke draws a line that is centered on the segment with sides parallel to the segment." (emphasis theirs)

The rest of the specification has no attributes for offsetting the line's position. When Illustrator lets you align inside or outside, it's recalculating the actual path's offset (because it's still computationally cheaper than overprinting then masking). The path coordinates in the .ai document are reference, not what gets rastered or exported to a final format.

Because Inkscape's native format is spec SVG, it can't offer a feature the spec lacks.

It avoids the .format.ps1xml file that defines a table or list view for the object type, if there are any. The format file may even define column headers that don't match any property names.

You need to append the new element to existing element's parent before element's next sibling. Like:

A Dictionary is a HashMap it stores map of your keys, value converted to a hashed new key and value mapping.

If you are wondering which are available options that can be used as key for your dictionary. Then

anything which is hashable(can be converted to hash, and hold static value i.e immutable so as to make a hashed key as stated above) is eligible but as list or set objects can be vary on the go so hash(key) should also needs to vary just to be in sync with your list or set.

The reason that max works with apply is that apply is coercing your data frame to a matrix first, and a matrix can only hold one data type. So you end up with a matrix of characters. sapply is just a wrapper for lapply, so it is not surprising that both yield the same error.

The default behavior when you create a data frame is for categorical columns to be stored as factors. Unless you specify that it is an ordered factor, operations like max and min will be undefined, since R is assuming that you've created an unordered factor.

You can change this behavior by specifying options(stringsAsFactors = FALSE), which will change the default for the entire session, or you can pass stringsAsFactors = FALSE in the data.frame() construction call itself. Note that this just means that min and max will assume "alphabetical" ordering by default.

Or you can manually specify an ordering for each factor, although I doubt that's what you want to do.

Regardless, sapply will generally yield an atomic vector, which will entail converting everything to characters in many cases. One way around this is as follows:

I encountered a similar problem only with a nested img in my anchor:

Well, you can hide it, by removing the entire system menu:

If you keep the system menu but remove the close item then the close button remains but is disabled.

The final alternative is to paint the non-client area yourself. That's pretty hard to get right.

This isn't really possible in HTML unless you use absolute positioning or javascript. So one solution would be to give this CSS to #bottom_link:

Python has two kinds of sorts: a sort method (or "member function") and a sort function. The sort method operates on the contents of the object named -- think of it as an action that the object is taking to re-order itself. The sort function is an operation over the data represented by an object and returns a new object with the same contents in a sorted order.

Given a list of integers named l the list itself will be reordered if we call l.sort():

This method has no return value. But what if we try to assign the result of l.sort()?

white-space: nowrap is the correct solution but it will prevent any break in a line. If you only want to prevent line breaks between two elements it gets a bit more complicated:

When you declare a function within a function, the inner functions are only available in the scope in which they are declared, or in your case, the pad2 can only be called in the dmy scope.

All the variables existing in dmy are visible in pad2, but it doesn't happen the other way around :D

More elegantly - if you want a quick overview of your commits

This will Show just the first line of the last n commit messages.

You can save this as a git alias or a shell alias with a shorter command. I've got it in my shell as glog, for example, and I can see my last 10 commit messages with glog -10.

If you just want the anchor color to stay the same as the anchor's parent element you can leverage inherit:

HTML is limited in what it specifies for form controls. That leaves room for operating system and browser makers to do what they think is appropriate on that platform (like the iPhone’s modal select which, when open, looks totally different from the traditional pop-up menu).

If it bugs you, you can use a customizable replacement, like Chosen, which looks distinct from the native select.

Or, file a bug against a major operating system or browser. For all we know, the way text is cut off in selects might be the result of a years-old oversight that everyone copied, and it might be time for a change.

As soon as you're displaying content from another domain, you're basically trusting that domain not to serve-up malware.

There's nothing wrong with iframes per se. If you control the content of the iframe, they're perfectly safe.

For static files like pdfs, Word docs, etc. just use Express's static function in your config:

The proper data type for "2010-12-20 00:00:00.0000000" value is DATETIME2(7) / DT_DBTIME2 ().

But used data type for CYCLE_DATE field is DATETIME - DT_DATE. This means milliseconds precision with accuracy down to every third millisecond (yyyy-mm-ddThh:mi:ss.mmL where L can be 0,3 or 7).

The solution is to change CYCLE_DATE date type to DATETIME2 - DT_DBTIME2.

os.path.commonprefix() and os.path.relpath() are your friends:

PS: depending on how your paths look like, you might want to perform some normalization first (this is useful in situations where one does not know whether they always end with '/' or not, or if some of the paths are relative). Relevant functions include os.path.abspath() and os.path.normpath().

PPS: as Peter Briggs mentioned in the comments, the simple approach described above can fail:

PPPPS: starting with Python 3.4, we have pathlib, a module that provides a saner path manipulation environment. I guess that the common prefix of a set of paths can be obtained by getting all the prefixes of each path (with PurePath.parents()), taking the intersection of all these parent sets, and selecting the longest common prefix.

PPPPPS: Python 3.5 introduced a proper solution to this question: os.path.commonpath(), which returns a valid path.

Is the correct form. If you use

reversed(range(10))

you wont get a 0 case. For instance, say your 10 isn't a magic number and a variable you're using to lookup start from reverse. If your n case is 0, reversed(range(0)) will not execute which is wrong if you by chance have a single object in the zero index.

My PLSQL is quite rusty so I can't give you a full snippet, but you'll need to loop over the result set of the SQL query and CONCAT all the strings together.

After calling GroupBy, you get a series of groups IEnumerable<Grouping>, where each Grouping itself exposes the Key used to create the group and also is an IEnumerable<T> of whatever items are in your original data set. You just have to call Count() on that Grouping to get the subtotal.

It seems that Set plays a useful role in providing a means of comparison. It is designed not to store duplicate elements.

Because of this intention/design, if one were to get() a reference to the stored object, then mutate it, it is possible that the design intentions of Set could be thwarted and could cause unexpected behavior.

Great care must be exercised if mutable objects are used as set elements. The behavior of a set is not specified if the value of an object is changed in a manner that affects equals comparisons while the object is an element in the set.

Console.Read() takes a character and returns the ascii value of that character.So if you want to take the symbol that was entered by the user instead of its ascii value (ex:if input is 5 then symbol = 5, ascii value is 53), you have to parse it using int.parse() but it raises a compilation error because the return value of Console.Read() is already int type. So you can get the work done by using Console.ReadLine() instead of Console.Read() as follows.

int userInput = int.parse(Console.ReadLine());

here, the output of the Console.ReadLine() would be a string containing a number such as "53".By passing it to the int.Parse() we can convert it to int type.
