In my case, it caused by application physical path point to a non-existent folder in IIS.

Perhaps you were looking at the space complexity? That is O(n). The other complexities are as expected on the hash table entry. The search complexity approaches O(1) as the number of buckets increases. If at the worst case you have only one bucket in the hash table, then the search complexity is O(n).
Edit in response to comment I don't think it is correct to say O(1) is the average case. It really is (as the wikipedia page says) O(1+n/k) where K is the hash table size. If K is large enough, then the result is effectively O(1). But suppose K is 10 and N is 100. In that case each bucket will have on average 10 entries, so the search time is definitely not O(1); it is a linear search through up to 10 entries.

My approach is to scan the string and let the pointers point to every character after the deliminators(and the first character), at the same time assign the appearances of deliminator in string to '\0'.
First make a copy of original string(since it's constant), then get the number of splits by scan it pass it to pointer parameter len. After that, point the first result pointer to the copy string pointer, then scan the copy string: once encounter a deliminator, assign it to '\0' thus the previous result string is terminated, and point the next result string pointer to the next character pointer.

A trait
is essentially PHP's implementation of a mixin
, and is effectively a set of extension methods which can be added to any class through the addition of the trait
. The methods then become part of that class' implementation, but without using inheritance.
From the PHP Manual (emphasis mine):
Traits are a mechanism for code reuse in single inheritance languages such as PHP. ... It is an addition to traditional inheritance and enables horizontal composition of behavior; that is, the application of class members without requiring inheritance.

s.I'm not convinced its a good idea to return image data in a REST service. It ties up your application server's memory and IO bandwidth. Much better to delegate that task to a proper web server that is optimized for this kind of transfer. You can accomplish this by sending a redirect to the image resource (as a HTTP 302 response with the URI of the image). This assumes of course that your images are arranged as web content.
Having said that, if you decide you really need to transfer image data from a web service you can do so with the following (pseudo) code:

I have pulled my hair out with this error a few time. I have managed to make it sometime disappear by restarting Apache/Nginx.
So I fixed it the same way as above, by adding the following to the GEM file:

Memory management in Linux is a bit tricky to understand, and I can't say I fully understand it yet, but I'll try to share a little bit of my experience and knowledge.
Short answer to your question: Yes there are other stuff included than whats in the list.
What's being shown in your list is applications run in userspace. The kernel uses memory for itself and modules, on top of that it also has a lower limit of free memory that you can't go under. When you've reached that level it will try to free up resources, and when it can't do that anymore, you end up with an OOM problem.
From the last line of your list you can read that the kernel reports a total-vm usage of: 1498536kB (1,5GB), where the total-vm includes both your physical RAM and swap space. You stated you don't have any swap but the kernel seems to think otherwise since your swap space is reported to be full (Total swap = 524284kB, Free swap = 0kB) and it reports a total vmem size of 1,5GB.
Another thing that can complicate things further is memory fragmentation. You can hit the OOM killer when the kernel tries to allocate lets say 4096kB of continous memory, but there are no free ones availible.
Now that alone probably won't help you solve the actual problem. I don't know if it's normal for your program to require that amount of memory, but I would recommend to try a static code analyzer like cppcheck to check for memory leaks or file descriptor leaks. You could also try to run it through Valgrind to get a bit more information out about memory usage.

For a while Christopher Swasey's approach was the best approach I had found. I asked a couple of the senior devs on my team about it and one of them had the perfect solution! Unless you can get the http site owner to create an ssl certificate, the most secure and permanent solution would be to create an RSS feed grabing the content you need (presumably you are not actually 'doing' anything on the http site -that is to say not logging in to any system).
The real issue is that having http elements inside a https site represents a security issue. There are no completely kosher ways around this security risk so the above are just current work arounds.
Note, that you can disable this security measure in most browsers (yourself, not for others). Also note that these 'hacks' may become obsolete over time.

I just want to address some confusion first. __file__
is not a wildcard it is an attribute. Double underscore attributes and methods are considered to be "special" by convention and serve a special purpose.

is an attribute of a module (a module object). In Python a .py
file is a module. So import amodule
will have an attribute of __file__
which means different things under difference circumstances.

It seems to me, this is a cross-domain issue since you're not allowed to make a request to a different domain.
You have to find solutions to this problem: - Use a proxy script, running on your server that will forward your request and will handle the response sending it to the browser Or - The service you're making the request should have JSONP support. The caller-saved / callee-saved terminology is based on a pretty braindead inefficient model of programming where callers actually do save/restore all the call-clobbered registers (instead of keeping long-term-useful values elsewhere), and callees actually do save/restore all the call-preserved registers (instead of just not using some or any of them).
Or you have to understand that "caller-saved" means "saved somehow if you want the value later".
In reality, efficient code lets values get destroyed when they're no longer needed. Compilers typically make functions that save a few call-preserved registers at the start of a function (and restore them at the end). Inside the function, they use those regs for values that need to survive across function calls.
I prefer "call-preserved" vs. "call-clobbered", which are unambiguous and self-describing once you've heard of the basic concept, and don't require any serious mental gymnastics to think about from the caller's perspective or the callee's perspective. (Both terms are from the same perspective).
Plus, these terms differ by more than one letter.
The terms volatile / non-volatile are pretty good, by analogy with storage which loses its value on power-loss or not, (like DRAM vs. Flash). But the C volatile
keyword has a totally different technical meaning, so that's a downside to "(non)-volatile" when describing C calling conventions.
From the callee's perspective, your function can freely overwrite (aka clobber) these registers without saving/restoring.
From a caller's perspective, call foo
destroys (aka clobbers) all the call-clobbered registers, or at least you have to assume it does.
You can write private helper functions that have a custom calling convention, e.g. you know they don't modify a certain register. But if all you know (or want to assume or depend on) is that the target function follows the normal calling convention, then you have to treat a function call as if it does destroy all the call-clobbered registers. That's literally what the name come from: a call clobbers those registers.
Some compilers that do inter-procedural optimization can also create internal-use-only definitions of functions that don't follow the ABI, using a custom calling convention.
From a callee's perspective, these registers can't be modified unless you save the original value somewhere so you can restore it before returning. Or for registers like the stack pointer (which is almost always call-preserved), you can subtract a known offset and add it back again before returning, instead of actually saving the old value anywhere. i.e. you can restore it by dead reckoning, unless you allocate a runtime-variable amount of stack space. Then typically you restore the stack pointer from another register.
A function that can benefit from using a lot of registers can save/restore some call-preserved registers just so it can use them as more temporaries, even if it doesn't make any function calls. Normally you'd only do this after running out of call-clobbered registers to use, because save/restore typically costs a push/pop at the start/end of the function. (Or if your function has multiple exit paths, a pop
in each of them.)
The name "caller-saved" is misleading: you don't have to specially save/restore them. Normally you arrange your code to have values that need to survive a function call in call-preserved registers, or somewhere on the stack, or somewhere else that you can reload from. It's normal to let a call
destroy temporary values.

Also, arg-passing registers are always call-clobbered in all function-calling conventions I'm aware of. See Are rdi and rsi caller saved or callee saved registers?
