how to check for null with a ng-if values in a view with angularjs

i have this situation   lt div ng-repeat  test in current  gt       lt div ng-if  test view    null  gt           lt i class  icon ion-checkmark  gt  lt  i gt       lt  div gt   lt  div gt    but test view   null doesn t work  neither just checking for test view or test view        any ideas   thanks  edit   in the loop  sometimes test view  has a value sometimes is NULL if i do    lt div ng-if   test view  gt 1 lt  div gt   lt div ng-if  test view  gt 2 lt  div gt    i will only see 1

You can also use ng-template  I think that would be more efficient while run time      lt div ng-if   test view  else somethingElse  gt 1 lt  div gt   lt ng-template  somethingElse gt       lt div gt 2 lt  div gt   lt  ng-template gt    Cheers
