[typescript] DateTimeFormat in TypeScript

This should work...

var displayDate = new Date().toLocaleDateString();

alert(displayDate);

But I suspect you are trying it on something else, for example:

var displayDate = Date.now.toLocaleDateString(); // No!

alert(displayDate);
