Before Android 4.4

What you are trying to do is simply not possible from an app (at least not on a non-rooted/non-modified device). The message "NFC tag type not supported" is displayed by the Android system (or more specifically the NFC system service) before and instead of dispatching the tag to your app. This means that the NFC system service filters MIFARE Classic tags and never notifies any app about them. Consequently, your app can't detect MIFARE Classic tags or circumvent that popup message.

On a rooted device, you may be able to bypass the message using either

1. Xposed to modify the behavior of the NFC service, or

2. the CSC (Consumer Software Customization) feature configuration files on the system partition (see /system/csc/. The NFC system service disables the popup and dispatches MIFARE Classic tags to apps if the CSC feature <CscFeature_NFC_EnableSecurityPromptPopup> is set to any value but "mifareclassic" or "all". For instance, you could use:

This is pure guessing, but according to this (link no longer available), it seems that some apps (e.g. NXP TagInfo) are capable of detecting MIFARE Classic tags on affected Samsung devices since Android 4.4. This might mean that foreground apps are capable of bypassing that popup using the reader-mode API (see NfcAdapter.enableReaderMode) possibly in combination with NfcAdapter.FLAG_READER_SKIP_NDEF_CHECK.

I'm going to break from the herd on this one and provide an alternate point of view:

Never create classes.

Reliance on classes has a significant tendency to cause coders to create bloated and slow code. Classes getting passed around (since they're objects) take a lot more computational power than calling a function and passing a string or two. Proper naming conventions on functions can do pretty much everything creating a class can do, and with only a fraction of the overhead and better code readability.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't learn to understand classes though. If you're coding with others, people will use them all the time and you'll need to know how to juggle those classes. Writing your code to rely on functions means the code will be smaller, faster, and more readable. I've seen huge sites written using only functions that were snappy and quick, and I've seen tiny sites that had minimal functionality that relied heavily on classes and broke constantly. (When you have classes extending classes that contain classes as part of their classes, you know you've lost all semblance of easy maintainability.)

When it comes down to it, all data you're going to want to pass can easily be handled by the existing datatypes.

Classes were created as a mental crutch and provide no actual extra functionality, and the overly-complicated code they have a tendency to create defeats the point of that crutch in the long run.

The problem is that you are calling toString() on the InputStream object itself. This will return a String representation of the InputStream object not the actual PDF document.

You want to read the PDF only as bytes as PDF is a binary format. You will then be able to write out that same byte array and it will be a valid PDF as it has not been modified.

So if you have identified that a seemingly trivial operation like the computation of the minimum of three numbers is the actual bottleneck (that is, the "critical 3%") in your application, then you may consider optimizing it.

And in this case, this is actually possible: The Math#min(double,double) method in Java has very special semantics:

Returns the smaller of two double values. That is, the result is the value closer to negative infinity. If the arguments have the same value, the result is that same value. If either value is NaN, then the result is NaN. Unlike the numerical comparison operators, this method considers negative zero to be strictly smaller than positive zero. If one argument is positive zero and the other is negative zero, the result is negative zero.

One can have a look at the implementation, and see that it's actually rather complex:

Whether or not there are cases where such an optimization really makes a difference in an application is hard to tell. But at least, the bottom line is:

• The Math#min(double,double) method is not the same as a simple comparison, and the treatment of the special cases does not come for free
• There are cases where the special case treatment that is done by Math#min is not necessary, and then a comparison-based approach may be more efficient
• As already pointed out in other answers: In most cases, the performance difference will not matter. However, for this particular example, one should probably create a utility method min(double,double,double) anyhow, for better convenience and readability, and then it would be easy to do two runs with the different implementations, and see whether it really affects the performance.

(Side note: The integer type methods, like Math.min(int,int) actually are a simple comparison - so I would expect no difference for these).

The accepted answer is shortsighted and the question a bit loose in that:

1) Neither explicitly mention whether a covering index is present in the left, right, or both sides.

2) Neither takes into account the size of input left side set and input right side set.
(The question just mentions an overall large result set).

I believe the optimizer is smart enough to convert between "in" vs "exists" when there is a significant cost difference due to (1) and (2), otherwise it may just be used as a hint (e.g. exists to encourage use of an a seekable index on the right side).

Both forms can be converted to join forms internally, have the join order reversed, and run as loop, hash or merge--based on the estimated row counts (left and right) and index existence in left, right, or both sides.

Came here to see how to append an item to a 2D array, but the title of the thread is a bit misleading because it is exploring an issue with the appending.

The easiest way I found to append to a 2D list is like this:

The braces '{ ... }' provide a unit of I/O redirection. The braces must appear where a command could appear - simplistically, at the start of a line or after a semi-colon. (Yes, that can be made more precise; if you want to quibble, let me know.)

You are right that you can preserve the original stdout and stderr with the redirections you showed, but it is usually simpler for the people who have to maintain the script later to understand what's going on if you scope the redirected code as shown above.

You can not make reference to static variable from non-static method. To understand this , you need to understand the difference between static and non-static.

Static variables are class variables , they belong to class with their only one instance , created at the first only. Non-static variables are initialized every time you create an object of the class.

Now coming to your question, when you use new() operator we will create copy of every non-static filed for every object, but it is not the case for static fields. That's why it gives compile time error if you are referencing a static variable from non-static method.

To get the "timestamp" of a date in go (number of seconds from january 1970), the correct function is .Unix(), and it really return an integer

This can make a big difference if you're unwrapping a lot of elements since either approach above is significantly faster than the cost of .unwrap().

On some CPUs, there is a dedicated set of registers for the stack. When a call instruction is executed, one register is loaded with the program counter at the same time as a second register is loaded with the contents of the first, a third register is be loaded with the second, and a fourth with the third, etc. When a return instruction is executed, the program counter is latched with the contents of the first stack register and the same time as that register is latched from the second; that second register is loaded from a third, etc. Note that such hardware stacks tend to be rather small (many the smaller PIC series micros, for example, have a two-level stack).

While a hardware stack does have some advantages (push and pop don't add any time to a call/return, for example) having registers which can be loaded with two sources adds cost. If the stack gets very big, it will be cheaper to replace the push-pull registers with an addressable memory. Even if a small dedicated memory is used for this, it's cheaper to have 32 addressable registers and a 5-bit pointer register with increment/decrement logic, than it is to have 32 registers each with two inputs. If an application might need more stack than would easily fit on the CPU, it's possible to use a stack pointer along with logic to store/fetch stack data from main RAM.

This is a classic difficulty in LaTeX.

The problem is how to do layout with floats (figures and tables, an similar objects) and footnotes. In particular, it is hard to pick a place for a float with certainty that making room for the associated footnotes won't cause trouble. So the standard tabular and figure environments don't even try.

What can you do:

1. Fake it. Just put a hardcoded vertical skip at the bottom of the caption and then write the footnote yourself (use \footnotesize for the size). I'm developing cordova apps for 2 years and I spent weeks to solve related problems (eg: webview scrolls when keyboard open). Here's a tested and proven solution for both ios and android

P.S.: I'm using iScroll for scrolling content

1. Never use viewport-fit=cover at index.html's meta tag, leave the app stay out of statusbar. iOS will handle proper area for all iPhone variants.
2. In XCode uncheck hide status bar and requires full screen and don't forget to select Launch Screen File as CDVLaunchScreen
3. In config.xml set fullscreen as false
4. Finally, (thanks to Eddy Verbruggen for great plugins) add his plugin cordova-plugin-webviewcolor to set statusbar and bottom area background color. This plugin will allow you to set any color you want.

5. Add below to config.xml (first ff after x is opacity)

6. Handle your scroll position yourself by adding focus events to input elements

If you want the transition work for whole application you can create a rootacivity and inherit it in the activity you need. In Root Activity's onCreate call overridePendingTransition with desired direction. And onStart call overridePendingTransition with other direction if activity is resumed. I've found the same problem. I lost almost a day trying to start a service from OnClickListener method - outside the onCreate and after 1 day, I still failed!!!! Very frustrating! I was looking at the sample example RemoteServiceController. Theirs works, but my implementation does not work!

The only way that was working for me, was from inside onCreate method. None of the other variants worked and believe me I've tried them all.

Conclusion:

• If you put your service class in different package than the mainActivity, I'll get all kind of errors

• Also the one "/" couldn't find path to the service, tried starting with Intent(package,className) and nothing , also other type of Intent starting

• I moved the service class in the same package of the activity Final form that works

• Hopefully this helps someone by defining the listerners onClick inside the onCreate method like this:

I have added CURLOPT_PROXYUSERPWD in case any of your proxies require a user name and password. I set CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER to 1, so that the data will be returned to $curl_scraped_page variable.

I removed a second extra curl_exec($ch); which would stop the variable being returned. I consolidated your proxy IP and port into one setting.

First of all, your first code doesn't use a for loop per se, but a list comprehension.

1. Would be equivalent to

   for j in range(0, width): for i in range(0, height): m[i][j]

2. Much the same way, it generally nests like for loops, right to left. But list comprehension syntax is more complex.

Basically the angular way is to create a model object that will hold whether or not the input should be readonly and then set that model object accordingly. The beauty of angular is that most of the time you don't need to do any dom manipulation. You just have angular render the view they way your model is set (let angular do the dom manipulation for you and keep your code clean).

the return code from a function can be only a value in the range from 0 to 255 . To store this value in a variable you have to do like in this example:

In general I wouldn't bother struggle too hard to make code fit exactly within a 80-column line. It's worth keeping line length down to reasonable levels, but the hard 80 limit is a thing of the past.

If you are using a class from another project, the project needs to re-build and create re-the dll. Make sure "Build" is checked for that project on Build -> Configuration Manager in Visual Studio. So the reference project will re-build and update the dll.

There are a few ways to do it. If I want to read and write binary I usually use open(), read(), write(), close(). Which are completely different than doing a byte at a time. You work with integer file descriptors instead of FILE * variables. fileno will get an integer descriptor from a FILE * BTW. You read a buffer full of data, say 32k bytes at once. The buffer is really an array which you can read from really fast because it's in memory. And reading and writing many bytes at once is faster than one at a time. It's called a blockread in Pascal I think, but read() is the C equivalent.

I looked but I don't have any examples handy. OK, these aren't ideal because they also are doing stuff with JPEG images. Here's a read, you probably only care about the part from open() to close(). fbuf is the array to read into, sb.st_size is the file size in bytes from a stat() call.

"But when I try to read from a file it is not outputting correctly." Hmmm. If you read a number 65 that's (decimal) ASCII for an A. Maybe you should look at man ascii too. If you want a 1 that's ASCII 0x31. A char variable is a tiny 8-bit integer really, if you do a printf as a %i you get the ASCII value, if you do a %c you get the character. Do %x for hexadecimal. All from the same number between 0 and 255.

For me, this started to happen after merge conflict.

I tried to clean and remove build folder, but none of it helped. This issue kept happening regardless. Then I relinked the reference by deleting the groups that was problematic and re-added to the project and it worked.

If you are still getting an error that says "Default Activity not found" when you try to edit the run configurations even after executing:

This is related to the semantics of the code. By naming the value assigning it to a variable that has a meaningful name (even if it is used only at one place) you give it a meaning. When somebody is reading the code that person will know what that value means.

In general is not a good practice to use constant values across the code. Imagine a code full of string, integer, etc. values. After a time nobody will know what those constants are. Also a typo in a value can be a problem when the value is used on more than one place.

Have a look at the pandas documentation for DataFrame.query, specifically the mention about the local variabile referenced udsing @ prefix. In this case we reference pd.Timestamp using the local alias ts to be able to supply a timestamp string

Your third assertion is incorrect.

It's perfectly legal for two unequal objects to have the same hash code. It's used by HashMap as a "first pass filter" so that the map can quickly find possible entries with the specified key. The keys with the same hash code are then tested for equality with the specified key.

You wouldn't want a requirement that two unequal objects couldn't have the same hash code, as otherwise that would limit you to 2³² possible objects. (It would also mean that different types couldn't even use an object's fields to generate hash codes, as other classes could generate the same hash.)

It is a syntax. In the function arguments int (&myArray)[100] parenthesis that enclose the &myArray are necessary. if you don't use them, you will be passing an array of references and that is because the subscript operator [] has higher precedence over the & operator.

E.g. int &myArray[100] // array of references

So, by using type construction () you tell the compiler that you want a reference to an array of 100 integers.

E.g int (&myArray)[100] // reference of an array of 100 ints

I had the same issue with VS2017. Following solved the issue.

1. Run Command prompt as Administrator.

You cant access a vector with [#] until an element exists in the vector at that index. This example populates the [#] and then modifies it afterward.

In your script, this part:

document.getElementById('Noite')

must be returning null and you are also attempting to set the display property to an invalid value. There are a couple of possible reasons for this first part to be null.

1. You are running the script too early before the document has been loaded and thus the Noite item can't be found.

2. There is no Noite item in your HTML.

I should point out that your use of document.write() in this case code probably signifies a problem. If the document has already loaded, then a new document.write() will clear the old content and start a new fresh document so no Noite item would be found.

If your document has not yet been loaded and thus you're doing document.write() inline to add HTML inline to the current document, then your document has not yet been fully loaded so that's probably why it can't find the Noite item.

The solution is probably to put this part of your script at the very end of your document so everything before it has already been loaded. So move this to the end of your body:

And, make sure that there are no document.write() statements in javascript after the document has been loaded (because they will clear the previous document and start a new one).

In addition, setting the display property to "display" doesn't make sense to me. The valid options for that are "block", "inline", "none", "table", etc... I'm not aware of any option named "display" for that style property. See here for valid options for teh display property.

Think about using nosql tools like neo4j for hierarchial structures. e.g a networked application like linkedin uses couchbase (another nosql solution)

But use nosql only for data-mart level queries and not to store / maintain transactions

I advise against

and input them directly into the SQL query as this makes prone to SQL inject via the search bar. You will have to escape the characters first in case they try something funny like: "--; DROP TABLE name;

The easiest way to differentiate O(1) and O(n) is comparing array and list.

For array, if you have the right index value, you can access the data instantly. (If you don't know the index and have to loop through the array, then it won't be O(1) anymore)

For list, you always need to loop through it whether you know the index or not.

On the Unity Editor open your project and:

1. Enable External option in Unity ? Preferences ? Packages ? Repository (only if Unity ver < 4.5)

Precision of a number is the number of digits.

Scale of a number is the number of digits after the decimal point.

What is generally implied when setting precision and scale on field definition is that they represent maximum values.

Example, a decimal field defined with precision=5 and scale=2 would allow the following values:

• 123.45 (p=5,s=2)
• 12.34 (p=4,s=2)
• 12345 (p=5,s=0)
• 123.4 (p=4,s=1)
• 0 (p=0,s=0)

The following values are not allowed or would cause a data loss:

originalArray : not modified after the method call

newArray is created after the end of method call.

Since map builds a new array, using it when you aren't using the
returned array is an anti-pattern; use forEach or for-of instead.

Here are my observation, firstly you need to include the header math.h as sqrt() function declared in math.h header file. For e.g

secondly, if you read manual page of sqrt you will notice this line Link with -lm.

Link with -lm. /* Library linking instruction */

But application still says undefined reference to sqrt. Do you see any problem here?

Compiler error is correct as you haven't linked your program with library lm & linker is unable to find reference of sqrt(), you need to link it explicitly. For e.g

gcc -Wall -Wextra -Werror -pedantic test.c -lm

I'd had this issue for too long (SO etc hadn't helped) and only just solved it (using sdk 25).

-The local.properties file proguard.dir var was not applying with ant; I'd specified 5.3.2, but a command line call and signed export build (eclipse) was using 4.7, from the sdk dir(only 5+ supports java 8)

My solution was to replace the proguard jars (android-sdk/tools/proguard/libs directory) in the sdk with a current (5+) version of proguard.

If you set up your project with the default gradle package structure, i.e.:

src/main/java
src/main/resources
src/test/java
src/test/resources

then you won't need to modify sourceSets to run your tests. Gradle will figure out that your test classes and resources are in src/test. You can then run as Oliver says above. One thing to note: Be careful when setting property files and running your test classes with both gradle and you IDE. I use Eclipse, and when running JUnit from it, Eclipse chooses one classpath (the bin directory) whereas gradle chooses another (the build directory). This can lead to confusion if you edit a resource file, and don't see your change reflected at test runtime.

You will also get that error if the cell where you are performing the calculation has an error resulting from a formula.

For example if Cell A1 has #DIV/0! error then you will get "Excel VBA Run-time error '13' Type mismatch" when performing this code

Wild stab in the dark: You're on a machine with an IPv6 resolver where localhost defaults to the IPv6 address ::1, but listen_addresses in postgresql.conf is set to 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0 not * or you're using an older PostgreSQL built with a C library that doesn't have transparent IPv6 support.

Change listen_addresses to localhost and make sure localhost resolves to both the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, or set it to ::1, 127.0.0.1 to explicitly specify both IPv4 and IPv6. Or just set it to * to listen on all interfaces. Alternately, if you don't care about IPv6, connect to 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost.

You can do this pretty easily with Javascript+Jquery as below. If you want to exclude some column, just write an if statement inside the for loops to skip those columns. Hope this helps!

I faced the same issue and It is really strange that the same code works in few case whereas it failed in some random cases.

I got it fixed by just making sure the proper setter/getter (Making sure the case sensitivity)

It is important to understand that accessors restrict access to variable, but not their content. In ruby, like in some other OO languages, every variable is a pointer to an instance. So if you have an attribute to an Hash, for example, and you set it to be "read only" you always could change its content, but not the content of pointer. Look at this:

As you can see is possible delete a key/value pair from the Hash @a, as add new keys, change values, eccetera. But you can't point to a new object because is a read only instance variable.
