This is because the OS failed to install the required update Windows8.1-KB2999226-x64.msu.

However, you can install it by extracting that update to a folder (e.g. XXXX), and execute following cmdlet. You can find the Windows8.1-KB2999226-x64.msu at below.

C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\469A82B09E217DDCF849181A586DF1C97C0C5C85\packages\Patch\amd64\Windows8.1-KB2999226-x64.msu

copy this file to a folder you like, and

Create a folder XXXX in that and execute following commands from Admin command propmt

wusa.exe Windows8.1-KB2999226-x64.msu /extract:XXXX

DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:XXXX\Windows8.1-KB2999226-x64.cab

vc_redist.x64.exe /repair

(last command need not be run. Just execute vc_redist.x64.exe once again)

Current best practice in CSS development is to create more general selectors with modifiers that can be applied as widely as possible throughout the web site. I would try to avoid defining separate styles for individual page elements.

If the purpose of the CSS class on the <form/> element is to control the style of elements within the form, you could add the class attribute the existing <fieldset/> element which encapsulates any form by default in web pages generated by ASP.NET MVC. A CSS class on the form is rarely necessary.

If you want to use the autobuilder at hub.docker.com, it has to be Dockerfile. So there :)

Most answers are using iloc which is good for selection by position.

If you need selection-by-label loc would be more convenient.

On Windows 10 with Vagrant 2.2.2, setting the environment variable VAGRANT_HOME will ensure that boxes are downloaded to a subfolder of the folder specified for VAGRANT_HOME.

In my case I set VAGRANT_HOME to e:\vagrant_home, and the boxes get stored under e:\vagrant_home\boxes.

This works for me.

That's where the boxes are stored. The virtual machines are being created in the folder configured in Virtual Box. To set the VirtualBox VM storage folder, go to: VirtualBox GUI --> File --> Preferences --> General --> Default Machine Folder.

This is related to the semantics of the code. By naming the value assigning it to a variable that has a meaningful name (even if it is used only at one place) you give it a meaning. When somebody is reading the code that person will know what that value means.

In general is not a good practice to use constant values across the code. Imagine a code full of string, integer, etc. values. After a time nobody will know what those constants are. Also a typo in a value can be a problem when the value is used on more than one place.

They are not identical. Memcache is older but it has some limitations. I was using just fine in my application until I realized you can't store literal FALSE in cache. Value FALSE returned from the cache is the same as FALSE returned when a value is not found in the cache. There is no way to check which is which. Memcached has additional method (among others) Memcached::getResultCode that will tell you whether key was found.

Because of this limitation I switched to storing empty arrays instead of FALSE in cache. I am still using Memcache, but I just wanted to put this info out there for people who are deciding.

So, I decided to throw my own solution in the pot. Here is a working fiddle. Note this only runs on very modern browsers.

What it uses

This implementation is very modern - it requires a (very) modern browser and users two new technologies:

• MutationObservers to detect changes in the dom (event listeners are used as well)
• Object.observe to detect changes in the object and notifying the dom. Danger, since this answer has been written O.o has been discussed and decided against by the ECMAScript TC, consider a polyfill.

How it works

• On the element, put a domAttribute:objAttribute mapping - for example bind='textContent:name'
• Read that in the dataBind function. Observe changes to both the element and the object.
• When a change occurs - update the relevant element.

The solution

Here is the dataBind function, note it's just 20 lines of code and could be shorter:

Here is a working fiddle. Note that this solution is pretty generic. Object.observe and mutation observer shimming is available.

You could add some logging to the Global.asax in Session_Start and Application_Start to track what's going on with the user's Session and the Application as a whole.

Also, watch out of you're running in Web Farm mode (multiple IIS threads defined in the application pool) or load balancing because the user can end up hitting a different server that does not have the same memory. If this is the case, you can switch the Session mode to SQL Server.

If I understand the situation correctly, you are just passing json data through the http body, instead of application/x-www-form-urlencoded data.

You can fetch this data with this snippet:

php://input is a so called wrapper.

php://input is a read-only stream that allows you to read raw data from the request body. Dictionary.TryGetValue(K key, out V value)

Works as a check and a get in one. Rather than;

You absolutely need to know where the files to be read can be located. However, this information can be relative of course so it may be well adapted to other systems.

So it could relate to the current directory (get it from Directory.GetCurrentDirectory()) or to the application executable path (eg. Application.ExecutablePath comes to mind if using Windows Forms or via Assembly.GetEntryAssembly().Location) or to some special Windows directory like "Documents and Settings" (you should use Environment.GetFolderPath() with one element of the Environment.SpecialFolder enumeration).

Note that the "current directory" and the path of the executable are not necessarily identical. You need to know where to look!

In either case, if you need to manipulate a path use the Path class to split or combine parts of the path.

if your int variable is declared as a class level variable (instance variable) it would be defaulted to 0. But that does not indicate if the value sent from the client was 0 or a null. may be you could have a setter method which could be called to initialize/set the value sent by the client. then you can define your indicator value , may be a some negative value to indicate the null..

I was having serious problems with

.data('property', value);

It was not setting the data-property attribute.

Started using jQuery's .attr():

Get the value of an attribute for the first element in the set of matched elements or set one or more attributes for every matched element.

.attr('property', value)

to set the value and

.attr('property')

to retrieve the value.

Now it just works!

The reason I chose to do it table by table is that it makes me confirm as I am doing the programming that deleting the contents of the table is sensible and there is not data that I would rather keep.

I had a similar problem with another library and the reason why it didn't found it, was that I didn't run the make install (after running ./configure and make) for that library. The make install may require root privileges (in this case use: sudo make install). After running the make install you should have the so files in the correct folder, i.e. here /usr/local/lib and not in the folder mentioned by you.

You can always use the type(x) == type(y) trick, where y is something with known type.

Often there are better ways of doing that, particularly with any recent python. But if you only want to remember one thing, you can remember that.

In this case, the better ways would be:

Note the last case: there is only one instance of NoneType in python, and that is None. You'll see NoneType a lot in exceptions (TypeError: 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable -- happens to me all the time..) but you'll hardly ever need to refer to it in code.

Finally, as fengshaun points out, type checking in python is not always a good idea. It's more pythonic to just use the value as though it is the type you expect, and catch (or allow to propagate) exceptions that result from it.

This Worked for me . open the project in CMD the run

Although it may seem annoying (coming from C) that Java did not include unsigned byte in the language it really is no big deal since a simple "b & 0xFF" operation yields the unsigned value for (signed) byte b in the (rare) situations that it is actually needed. The bits don't actually change -- just the interpretation (which is important only when doing for example some math operations on the values).

You can try this code for converting bytes from packet to a null-terminated string and store to "string" variable for processing.

When we send message with hex bytes 0x01020E0F, variable "data" had char array with string "01020e0f".

A simple solution is to restart the service when the system stops it.

This error is common when the source table contains a TEXT column and the target is anything other than a TEXT column. It can be a real time-eater if you have not encountered (or forgot!) this before.

Convert the text column to string and set the error condition on truncation to ignore. this will usually serve as a solution for this error.

None of the above worked for me.

Instead, I tried installing the plugins I needed via the Eclipse Market Place, and that worked without issue.

The reason that the "Z" is not included is because datetime.now() and even datetime.utcnow() return timezone naive datetimes, that is to say datetimes with no timezone information associated. To get a timezone aware datetime, you need to pass a timezone as an argument to datetime now. For example:

The distinction between "self" and "cls" is defined in PEP 8 . As Adrien said, this is not a mandatory. It's a coding style. PEP 8 says:

The Issue

The error presents itself as a message similar to this:

Cannot open database "DATABASE NAME" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user XYZ.

• The error cannot usually be rectified by a simple Visual Studio or full-computer restart.
• The error can also be found as a seemingly locked database file.

The Fix

The solution is laid in the following steps. You will not lose any data in your database and you should not delete your database file!

Pre-requisite: You must have installed SQL Server Management Studio (Full or Express)

1. Open SQL Server Management Studio
2. In the "Connect to Server" window (File->Connect object explorer) enter the following:
   • Server type : Database Engine
   • Server name : (localdb)\v11.0
   • Authentication : [Whatever you used when you created your local db. Probably Windows Authentication).
3. Click "Connect"
4. Expand the "Databases" folder in the Object Explorer (View->Object Explorer, F8)
5. Find your database. It should be named as the full path to your database (.mdf) file
   • You should see it says "(Pending Recovery)" at the end of the database name or when you try to expand the database it won't be able to and may or may not give you an error message.
   • This the issue! Your database has crashed essentially..
6. Right click on the database then select "Tasks -> Detach...".
7. In the detach window, select your database in the list and check the column that says "Drop Connections"
8. Click OK.
9. You should see the database disappear from the list of databases. Your problem should now be fixed. Go and run your application that uses your localdb.
10. After running your application, your database will re-appear in the list of databases - this is correct. It should not say "Pending recovery" any more since it should be working properly.

Many people on this thread and on google explain very well that attr_accessible specifies a whitelist of attributes that are allowed to be updated in bulk (all the attributes of an object model together at the same time) This is mainly (and only) to protect your application from "Mass assignment" pirate exploit.

This is explained here on the official Rails doc : Mass Assignment

attr_accessor is a ruby code to (quickly) create setter and getter methods in a Class. That's all.

Now, what is missing as an explanation is that when you create somehow a link between a (Rails) model with a database table, you NEVER, NEVER, NEVER need attr_accessor in your model to create setters and getters in order to be able to modify your table's records.

This is because your model inherits all methods from the ActiveRecord::Base Class, which already defines basic CRUD accessors (Create, Read, Update, Delete) for you. This is explained on the offical doc here Rails Model and here Overwriting default accessor (scroll down to the chapter "Overwrite default accessor")

Say for instance that: we have a database table called "users" that contains three columns "firstname", "lastname" and "role" :

You didn't add the "role" attributes to the attr_accessible list because you don't let your users set their role by themselves (like admin). You do this yourself on another special admin View.

Though your user view doesn't show a "role" field, a pirate could easily send a HTTP POST request that include "role" in the params hash. The missing "role" attribute on the attr_accessible is to protect your application from that.

You can still modify your user.role attribute on its own like below, but not with all attributes together.

@user.role = DEFAULT_ROLE

Why the hell would you use the attr_accessor?

Well, this would be in the case that your user-form shows a field that doesn't exist in your users table as a column.

For instance, say your user view shows a "please-tell-the-admin-that-I'm-in-here" field. You don't want to store this info in your table. You just want that Rails send you an e-mail warning you that one "crazy" ;-) user has subscribed.

To be able to make use of this info you need to store it temporarily somewhere. What more easy than recover it in a user.peekaboo attribute ?

So you add this field to your model :

frame.setLocation(x, y);

The getSize() method is inherited from the Component class, and therefore frame.getSize returns the size of the window as well. Thus subtracting half the vertical and horizontal dimensions from the vertical and horizontal dimensions, to find the x,y coordinates of where to place the top-left corner, gives you the location of the center point, which ends up centering the window as well. However, the first line of the above code is useful, "Dimension...". Just do this to center it:

The JLabel sets the screen-size. It's in FrameDemo.java available on the java tutorials at the Oracle/Sun site. I set it to half the screen size's height/width. Then, I centered it by placing the top left at 1/4 of the screen size's dimension from the left, and 1/4 of the screen size's dimension from the top. You can use a similar concept.

In my opinion, uniqueidentifier / GUID is neither a varchar nor an nvarchar but a char(36). Therefore I use:

In order to capture deadlock graphs without using a trace (you don't need profiler necessarily), you can enable trace flag 1222. This will write deadlock information to the error log. However, the error log is textual, so you won't get nice deadlock graph pictures - you'll have to read the text of the deadlocks to figure it out.

I would set this as a startup trace flag (in which case you'll need to restart the service). However, you can run it only for the current running instance of the service (which won't require a restart, but which won't resume upon the next restart) using the following global trace flag command:

DBCC TRACEON(1222, -1);

Also note that if your system experiences a lot of deadlocks, this can really hammer your error log, and can become quite a lot of noise, drowning out other, important errors.

Have you considered third party monitoring tools? SQL Sentry Performance Advisor, for example, has a much nicer deadlock graph, showing you object / index names as well as the order in which the locks were taken. As a bonus, these are captured for you automatically on monitored servers without having to configure trace flags, run your own traces, etc.:

This point can't be stressed enough. If you want to avoid playing unicode "whack-a-mole", it's important to understand what's happening at the data level. Here it is explained another way:

• A unicode object is decoded already, you never want to call decode on it.
• A bytestring object is encoded already, you never want to call encode on it.

Now, on seeing .encode on a byte string, Python 2 first tries to implicitly convert it to text (a unicode object). Similarly, on seeing .decode on a unicode string, Python 2 implicitly tries to convert it to bytes (a str object).

These implicit conversions are why you can get UnicodeDecodeError when you've called encode. It's because encoding usually accepts a parameter of type unicode; when receiving a str parameter, there's an implicit decoding into an object of type unicode before re-encoding it with another encoding. This conversion chooses a default 'ascii' decoder^†, giving you the decoding error inside an encoder.

In fact, in Python 3 the methods str.decode and bytes.encode don't even exist. Their removal was a [controversial] attempt to avoid this common confusion.

Which will give you a list of all available properties and their values. Once you know which property you want, you can give the name as an argument to getprop to access its value directly, like this:

d and i conversion specifiers behave the same with fprintf but behave differently for fscanf.

As some other wrote in their answer, the idiomatic way to print an int is using d conversion specifier.

Regarding i specifier and fprintf, C99 Rationale says that:

The %i conversion specifier was added in C89 for programmer convenience to provide symmetry with fscanf’s %i conversion specifier, even though it has exactly the same meaning as the %d conversion specifier when used with fprintf.

Here is a special case if you want the first entry (or close to it) in an OrderedDict, without creating a list. (This has been updated to Python 3):

In my informal test, next(iter(d.items())) with a small OrderedDict is only a tiny bit faster than items()[0]. With an OrderedDict of 10,000 entries, next(iter(d.items())) was about 200 times faster than items()[0].

BUT if you save the items() list once and then use the list a lot, that could be faster. Or if you repeatedly { create an items() iterator and step through it to to the position you want }, that could be slower.

Chr(10) is the Line Feed character and Chr(13) is the Carriage Return character.

You probably won't notice a difference if you use only one or the other, but you might find yourself in a situation where the output doesn't show properly with only one or the other. So it's safer to include both.

Historically, Line Feed would move down a line but not return to column 1:

Paste this into a text editor and then choose to "show all characters", and you'll see both characters present at the end of each line. Better safe than sorry.

C99 standard on c >= '0' && c <= '9'

c >= '0' && c <= '9' (mentioned in another answer) works because C99 N1256 standard draft 5.2.1 "Character sets" says:

In both the source and execution basic character sets, the value of each character after 0 in the above list of decimal digits shall be one greater than the value of the previous.

ASCII is not guaranteed however.

If you can't change the source code, or redeploy, but you can examine the running processes on the computer use Process Explorer. I written a detailed description here.

It will list all executing dlls on the system, you may need to determine the process id of your running application, but that is usually not too difficult.

PS: In item.getString(0) -> 0 is the index of column on cursor that you want to get.

If you can't put value on buttons. I have just a rough solution. Put a hidden field. And when one of the buttons are clicked before submitting, populate the value of hidden field with like say 1 when first button clicked and 2 if second one is clicked. and in submit page check for the value of this hidden field to determine which one is clicked.

I know this may be obvious for most people who use RegEx frequently, but in case any readers are new to RegEx, I thought I should point out an observation I made that was helpful for one of my projects.

In a previous answer from @kennytm:

^\d{5}(?:[-\s]\d{4})?$

…? = The pattern before it is optional (for condition 1)

If you want to allow both standard 5 digit and +4 zip codes, this is a great example.

To match only zip codes in the US 'Zip + 4' format as I needed to do (conditions 2 and 3 only), simply remove the last ? so it will always match the last 5 character group.

I crammed everything into one line (bad I know) and had no troubles with it:

Thanks for the info, think I see the problem. This is a bug in hive-go that only shows up when you add a host. The last lines of it are:

app.listen(3001);
console.log("... port %d in %s mode", app.address().port, app.settings.env);

When you add the host on the first line, it is crashing when it calls app.address().port.

The problem is the potentially asynchronous nature of .listen(). Really it should be doing that console.log call inside a callback passed to listen. When you add the host, it tries to do a DNS lookup, which is async. So when that line tries to fetch the address, there isn't one yet because the DNS request is running, so it crashes.

Try this:

Parameters are key-value pairs that can appear inside URL path, and start with a semicolon character (;).

Query string appears after the path (if any) and starts with a question mark character (?).

Both parameters and query string contain key-value pairs.

In a GET request, parameters appear in the URL itself:

<scheme>://<username>:<password>@<host>:<port>/<path>;<parameters>?<query>#<fragment>

In a POST request, parameters can appear in the URL itself, but also in the datastream (as known as content).

Query string is always a part of the URL.

Parameters can be buried in form-data datastream when using POST method so they may not appear in the URL. Yes a POST request can define parameters as form data and in the URL, and this is not inconsistent because parameters can have several values.

I've found no explaination for this behavior so far. I guess it might be useful sometimes to "unhide" parameters from a POST request, or even let the code handling a GET request share some parts with the code handling a POST. Of course this can work only with server code supporting parameters in a URL.

Until you get better insights, I suggest you to use parameters only in form-data datastream of POST requests.

In my case, I had two of three projects with this problem in my current workspace. I opened workspace catalog and made a backup of corrupted projects, deleted them afterwards. Then opened eclipse once again. Obviously there was missing data to work with. Closed eclipse once again and added back earlier saved projects without metadata catalogs.

TL;DR. Just remove metadata catalogs from projects in your workspace.

4. insert exported reg file.

As an alternative there is a Blob that you can use in place of File as it is what File interface derives from as per W3C spec:

When you decide between fixed width and fluid width you need to think in terms of your ENTIRE page. Generally, you want to pick one or the other, but not both. The examples you listed in your question are, in-fact, in the same fixed-width page. In other words, the Scaffolding page is using a fixed-width layout. The fixed grid and fluid grid on the Scaffolding page are not meant to be examples, but rather the documentation for implementing fixed and fluid width layouts.

When observing the fixed width example, you should not see the content changing sizes when your browser is greater than 960px wide. This is the maximum (fixed) width of the page. Media queries in a fixed-width design will designate the minimum widths for particular styles. You will see this in action when you shrink your browser window and see the layout snap to a different size.

Conversely, the fluid-width layout will always stretch to fit your browser window, no matter how wide it gets. The media queries indicate when the styles change, but the width of containers are always a percentage of your browser window (rather than a fixed number of pixels).

The 'responsive' media queries are all ready to go. You just need to decide if you want to use a fixed width or fluid width layout for your page.

Previously, in bootstrap 2, you had to use row-fluid inside a fluid container and row inside a fixed container. With the introduction of bootstrap 3, row-fluid was removed, do no longer use it.

Have you tried Advanced Filter? Using your short list as the 'Criteria' and long list as the 'List Range'. Use the options: 'Filter in Place' and 'Unique Values'.

You should be presented with the list of unique values that only appear in your short list.

Alternatively, you can paste your Unique list to another location (on the same sheet), if you prefer. Choose the option 'Copy to another Location' and in the 'Copy to' box enter the cell reference (say F1) where you want the Unique list.

Note: this will work with the two columns (name/ID) too, if you select the two columns as both 'Criteria' and 'List Range'.

I needed clean and lightweight solution (so no jQuery and alike), which will look exactly like plain HTML, would also continue working when only plain HTML is preset (so javascript will only enhance it), and which will allow searching by starting letters (including national UTF-8 letters) if possible where it does not add extra weight. It also must work fast on very slow browsers (think rPi - so preferably no javascript executing after page load).

In firefox it uses CSS identing and thus allow searching by letters, and in other browsers it will use   prepending (but there it does not support quick search by letters). Anyway, I'm quite happy with results.

One should use the withRouter higher order component:

We think this new HoC is nicer and easier, and will be using it in documentation and examples, but it is not a hard requirement to switch.

You have four options

1. Finite Differences
2. Automatic Derivatives
3. Symbolic Differentiation
4. Compute derivatives by hand.

Finite differences require no external tools but are prone to numerical error and, if you're in a multivariate situation, can take a while.

Symbolic differentiation is ideal if your problem is simple enough. Symbolic methods are getting quite robust these days. SymPy is an excellent project for this that integrates well with NumPy. Look at the autowrap or lambdify functions or check out Jensen's blogpost about a similar question.

Automatic derivatives are very cool, aren't prone to numeric errors, but do require some additional libraries (google for this, there are a few good options). This is the most robust but also the most sophisticated/difficult to set up choice. If you're fine restricting yourself to numpy syntax then Theano might be a good choice.
